SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (CBS4) — The privately funded border wall is in violation of city ordinance, according to Javier Perea, the mayor of City of Sunland Park.
According to Perea, the owner of the land submitted an application for a wall with the City of Sunland Park on Friday, but officials found that the paperwork was incomplete.
The “We Build the Wall” structure was erected on private land over Memorial Day weekend.
A cease-and-desist order given to the owner of the property, Perea said.
”On Thursday, we were denied entry to the location and then, on Friday, the owner of the property did come to the city of Sunland Park and submitted an application for a permit,” said Perea.
No site plan for the project was provided to Sunland Park, he added. A wall can only be six feet tall under the city’s ordinance.
But the company behind the wall claims the city had permitted them to build the wall.
“One official gave us the all-clear on Thursday. Another gave us the all-clear on Friday. And that’s actually when they came down and examined the site and told us we could proceed,” said Chris Kobach, a representative for We Build the Wall.

A government bill repealing contentious Conservative changes to Canada’s firearm law cleared its final hurdle in Parliament Tuesday, paving the way for an even tougher battle over guns as the October election approaches.
Bill C-71, strongly opposed by gun lobbies and firearm owners since Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale tabled it in the House of Commons on March 20, 2018, sailed through its final Senate vote with Independent and Liberal senators outnumbering Conservatives and a handful of other opponents 55-33.
Former Conservative Senators Mike Duffy and Pam Wallin, now members of the Independent Senators Group caucus, voted with the Conservatives to oppose the bill.
After the Independent Senate Group used its overwhelming Senate majority to defeat amendments Conservative senators managed to get through in committee study, the legislation now requires only Royal Assent to become law.
The bill primarily covers non-restricted rifles and shotguns, with renewed requirements for validation of licences before the sale or transfer of long guns and mandatory record keeping for gun dealers and retailers.
Bill C-71 also extends background checks for licence applications and renewals — which could extend back for a lifetime instead of a five-year check under the previous law.
The legislation, however, also repeals Conservative amendments to the Criminal Code that gave cabinet the power to overrule RCMP classifications for restricted and prohibited firearms — last-minute changes before the 2015 election that allowed then Conservative Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney to rescind prohibited designations the Canadian Firearms Program had given to certain semi-automatic rifles imported from Czechoslovakia and Switzerland.

The US has deposits of almost all of the rare earths in the Rockies, during the 8 years of treason called the Obama Administration Obama shut down the mines and prevented any new ones from being opened. “Only 24 percent of people with right-wing beliefs admittedly trust their daily newspapers, a major Swedish press survey has found.
The farther to the right a person is, the lower the confidence he or she has in traditional news media, the SOM Institute at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, has found.
According to the survey, the position of the traditional media in Sweden has changed since in the 2000s, with many news sources and the social media challenging the established press and undermining their credibility.
At present, slightly over half of the Swedish population of 10 million (or 56 percent) have solid confidence in radio and television as social institutions. For the daily press, however, the figure is only 33 percent.
Notably, the survey revealed a vast gap in trust between people having left-wing and right-wing views. Younger people and right-winger sympathisers turned out to have the lowest confidence, as opposed to people holding left-wing views.
Only 44 and 24 percent of right-wingers have high confidence in radio and television and the daily press respectively, as opposed to 67 and 44 percent of left-wingers.
“The confidence in the media falls the farther to the right a person’s party sympathies lie. We find the lowest confidence among the Swedish Democrats’ sympathisers, where slightly over 30 percent have confidence in radio and television and only 15 percent believe the daily press”, media researcher Ulrika Andersson said in a statement from the SOM Institute.
Andersson ventured that the trust is lowest among people who feel that the news media fail to address social issues they themselves consider important.
According to the report, right-wing and anti-immigration Sweden Democrats sympathisers are characterised by “a general distrust of both the establishment and a number of social institutions”.
By contrast, people holding left-wing and centrist views who align with the Left, the Greens, the Social Democrats, the Centre and the Liberals, have an average trust level of 88 percent. Among right-of-the-centre sympathisers aligning themselves with the Moderate Party and the Christian Democrats, the trust level falls to 78 percent.
One of the reasons for this imbalance may the over-all left-wing slant of the Swedish press. A previous survey indicated that 41 percent of journalists identify with the Green Party and 15 percent identify with the Left Party (formerly known as the Communist Party).
Despite only winning 4.4 percent of the general vote in 2018, the Greens are supported by over 50 percent of the staff at Swedish Radio and the national broadcaster SVT, the newspaper Forskning och Framsteg reported.
By contrast, no major media outlets openly identify as right-wing or conservative. For instance, Dagens Nyheter, Sweden’s largest morning daily, defines itself as “independently liberal”, whereas Aftonbladet, the largest evening daily, marks itself “independently social democrat”.”

Norway’s Labour Party has called for gender equality quotas in the mosque boards to remedy the heavily tilted gender balance. According to Norwegian law, women must constitute at least 40 percent of the board staff.
At present, 71.6 percent of Norwegian mosques have no women as board members, despite receiving close to NOK 170 million ($20 million) in state aid, national broadcaster NRK reported. At the four largest mosques in the capital city of Oslo, despite a total of 23,221 members, not a single board member is a woman.
“We want them to lose state aid if they do not have at least 40 percent women in their boards. This is not a private matter; the state provides NOK 400 million ($46 million) in support for religious communities all the time. We must also be able to make demands”, Oslo Mayor Raymond Johansen of the Labour Party told NRK.
According to him, this is a clear violation of Norway’s guidelines on gender equality. Norwegian legislation provides rules on gender distribution in a number of different types of boards, both public and private. For large boards with ten or more members, both genders must be represented by at least 40 percent.
Meanwhile, the overall proportion of women in all Norwegian mosque boards in the survey is a measly 8 percent, 68 women out of 845 board members. By contrast, 59 percent of the Church of Norway’s board staff are women.
Raymond Johansen finds the numbers disappointing.
“I easily see a continuation of structures where men have power both in society and in the family. Breaking this has a great merit in itself. Every individual, regardless of their gender, must have the same rights and opportunities to influence”, Johansen explained.
Labour’s gender equality push has left Norway’s political establishment and society divided.
Child and Family Minister Kjell Ingolf Ropstad of the Christian Democrats Party has called the mosques’ performance in gender equality “disappointing”, but is against forcefully getting women in.
“I think it is a bad proposal from the Labour Party. There must be a high threshold for regulating religious communities, because freedom of belief must be strong in Norway,” Ropstad said.
Unni Wikan, a social anthropologist who focuses on Muslim countries, has called Labour’s proposal “creative” as it gave mosques a challenge. According to her, there is no contradiction between having freedom of belief and asking for a higher share of women. She cited the Church of Norway, which has gone from a firm no to female clergy to having women account for 15 percent of pastors.
However, Equality and Discrimination Ombudsman Hanne Bjurstrøm was also critical.
“Other measures than specific legal requirements on gender proportion can be more effective in achieving the goal of increasing the proportion of women in the boards. We must not forget that real influence is the goal, and that participation in formal governance structures does not necessarily reflect gender equality,” Bjurstrøm said.
Basim Ghozlan of the Rabita Mosque in Oslo, where two of the eight people on the board are women, is positive about having more women, unless it is done in a coercive way.

This logically extends to AI in that any jobs taken over by AI will require those made redundant to immediately acquire a skill equivalence to that of those who invented AI.
Quite simply, just as Luddites never recovered from (an all too appropriate example of) the automated Jacquard Loom, neither are any burger flippers going to magically teleport themselves into a quantum computing lab. This may seem like the exact same mechanism as that of the Luddites and bank tellers, but it most certainly is not.
This new socioeconomic gap is not going to manifest as a demand for small jumps to be made in average intelligence. Expecting ordinary manual laborers to leap the yawning chasm that separates a cash register from fluid dynamics modeling is like asking someone to lick their own neck.
This may prove to be one of the most toxic effects of America’s decades-long invasion by marginally intelligent Latin Americans. As this irreversible quantum leap is necessitated by artificial intelligence, the only places that will have any opportunities for unskilled workers ARE THOSE ECONOMIES FROM WHICH THEY CAME. It is only the Left’s conspicuous lack of practicality which casts doubt upon this being an intended goal from day one.
The only alternative which PoMo Progs have to offer is keeping America and the entire First World at Second World economic levels to maintain the employability of low intelligence people. And this is precisely what UBI would achieve.
Even in combination with such financially infeasible UBI programs, nothing on earth can possibly overcome the retrograde effects of reduced intelligence. Tofler’s “Future Shock” hints at this, and every projection shows that AI-driven automation in their host nations will render obsolete entire immigrant work forces.
Again, this is the exact same historical schemata of classic worker redundancy. The difference is that this time the skills gap is one that cannot be crossed by ordinary retraining—even years of it. I know this first hand from working with a local artist and instructor whose specific goal is to teach children creativity.

This goes double for those which come from cultures that already de-emphasize the importance of scholastic achievement. What happens to all of those children who show promise but are ostracized by their classmates for “acting White”? NOW, TAKE THAT cultural disenfranchisement and attempt to blame it on anything but racism, White Privilege or White Supremacy and see how far you get. These are the only avenues of explanation left open by the PoMo Progs and, with their propensity for violence, there is every chance that the Left’s vision of utopia will simply entail liquidation of everyone whose intelligence poses a threat to the great unwashed.
This happened to spectacle-wearers in Communist China, and is just like how Imperial Japanese soldiers reflexively killed White prisoners of war who were taller than they were. Those who pose a threat to this new mediocrity will not survive.
Do not imagine for a microsecond that this is not the way history always has been. Geniuses of every age have been mocked, financially impoverished, socially excluded, and even burned at the stake for witchcraft as repayment for their contributions to society. Einstein himself made several allusions to measuring brilliance by the degree of doubt and ridicule it was subjected to by established schools of thought.
As an aside, this is why the general vote (i.e., “one man, one vote”) is a prime vehicle for reinvigorating the Left’s long-running anti-industrial revolution (hat tip: Ayn Rand). What few, if any, people want to admit is that, all through history humans of subpar intelligence always have been obsolete.
It is only the advent of First World technologies that brought about mechanized agriculture, chemical fertilizers, bulk water purification, electrification, indoor plumbing refrigeration—and the advanced medical technology required to keep people living long enough to enjoy all of these newfound benefits—that Darwinian evolution was quelled long enough for subpar people to flourish in the first place.
In its usual deluded state, the Left seems to think that, somehow, an advanced culture dragged back into Second World (or Third World) status will magically retain all of those technological advances without the intelligent workforce required to innovate and maintain that infrastructure. Proof of this lies in how a vast majority of post-colonial African nations—especially those in the sub-Saharan region—instantaneously slid back into tribalism and cannibalism (either of which never really stopped anyway) the moment Europeans even began talking about independence.
Literally, at the last minute, Chen herself admits the “unpopular” aspect of real problem-solving measures about birth rates and intelligence. Only suggested is the danger to civilization as a whole if current trends towards low intelligence overpopulation continue.
At some future point, First World countries may simply have to “pull up the ladders”, much as the Globalist 1% are doing today. The pivotal difference being that for wealthy 1%ers, unrivaled greed drives their desire to eliminate all competition for the resources of their class—whereas for +100 IQ people, the need to become island nations will become a matter sheer survival.
When the Globalist 1% and Progressives merge their agendas (as they already have—or at least an unwitting Left stupidly has done) it will be incumbent upon those smart people who anticipate surviving to treat those two just like their loosely saddled tiger, Islam.

You talk about how the increase in scientific knowledge let to the innovations that in effect has lead to the stopping of evolution in the Human Race. One of the ways evolution works in the Human Race is through war, contrary to what people believe once we left the age of swords and spears being the primary weapons the infantryman has been required to be smarter. Over the past few decades this has become much easier to notice.
The modern infantry weapons are becoming increasingly complex and people who were accepted into the military as late as the 1960s can’t pass the current requirements to be a grunt. The age of dumb cannon fodder is over, this is the age of the intelligent soldier that can learn the modern weapons and use them without thinking about what is being done. While the weapons are designed so the can be used without much thought maintaining and repairing them requires a fairly high intelligence. Also thanks to the modern tech the soldier on the battlefield has a better chance of surviving a modern “total” war then the average civilian does.
You also talk about the loss of tech in the coming Dark Age, their will be some loss but not near as much as most people think. We will return to the time of apprentices being taught by master craftsmen and there will be a few Universities that will manage to retain the ability to teach the facts in the STEM subjects. This will maintain the high tech for the Upper Classes and in the nations with surviving Middle Class people varying degrees of tech in the hands of the Middle Class. Not all nations will fall to Third World status but there will be some decrease in the standard of living in all nations. Also there will be enough scientists survive that there will be a continued increase in high tech through out the Dark Age no matter how Dark it gets. (I can see the possibility of wars being fought to allow one nation to lay their hands of specific scientists.) The major problem in maintaining a semi high tech society will be the Greens working to destroy all tech above a certain level.

New mapping technology that is expected to transform training and simulation exercises for America’s warfighters was unveiled at the IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference and Expo (ITEC) 2019 conference on May 15 in Stockholm, Sweden, reported National Defense Magazine.
Jason Knowles, director of geospatial science and technology at the University of Southern California’s Institute for Creative Technologies, an Army affiliated research center, spoke at ITEC about the new terrain capture and reconstruction software that recreates complex environments including cities for simulation exercises and war planning. The institute is part of a cross-functional team working on the mapping software (called One World Terrain (OWT) project).
Knowles described the new software as “Google Earth on steroid.”

China is considering limiting the exports of rare-earth materials to the U.S. On Tuesday, the country’s state-run media said Beijing could retaliate against the U.S. by asserting dominance in the global rare-earth market.
Chinese restrictions could hurt America’s military-industrial complex as the materials are crucial for making electronics. The consumer market could also suffer, because the minerals are used in devices like smart phones and computers.

ABU DHABI (Reuters) – U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton said on Wednesday that naval mines “almost certainly from Iran” were used to attack oil tankers off the United Arab Emirates this month, and warned Tehran against conducting new operations.

I don’t agree with everything he said but over all it is very good.
1: I think an undersea drone is more likely then divers, if the drone is captured or sunk there is greater deniability then if a diver is captured and killed.
Up until one reporter said that one of the nations intelligence people were saying the attacks were made by undersea drones I had wondered how the explosive was delivered to the Iranian tanker. Once a drone entered the picture it made a lot more sense.
2: He talks about irresolution in the current administration. Given what he is facing inside the Us PT has to be very careful what he does in the Gulf region. Unless we have court proof the Propaganda Media will pull out all stops to blame PT for attacking someone who hasn’t attacked us.

Arrest warrant issued for Myanmar firebrand monk Wirathu
Myanmar police issued an arrest warrant Tuesday evening for an ultra-nationalist monk known as the “Buddhist Bin Laden” for his vitriol against Islam and particularly the Rohingya Muslim community.
Wirathu has long been the face of the country’s Buddhist nationalist movement, notorious for espousing hate against the Rohingya minority.

Police spokesman Myo Thu Soe said the arrest warrant had been issued on Tuesday by the western district court in Myanmar’s main city, Yangon.
He did not give a reason for the warrant.
At recent rallies, Wirathu has accused the government of corruption and criticized it for trying to change the constitution in a way that would reduce the power of the military.
“This sedition accusation is bullying him,” Thu Saitta, an ally of Wirathu, told Reuters.
“We won’t say what we will do if he is arrested, but it is certain that we won’t be calm.”
Wirathu is the most prominent of the nationalist monks to gain growing political weight in Myanmar since a transition from military rule began in 2011.
The police spokesman said the warrant had not yet been received by police in the central city of Mandalay, where Wirathu is based.
Wirathu was banned by Myanmar’s highest religious authority from preaching for one year until early last year because of hate speech.
He has often targeted Rohingya Muslims, more than 700,000 of whom fled an army crackdown in Rakhine State in 2017 that U.N. investigators said was carried out with “genocidal intent”.
The law under which Wirathu faces possible arrest prohibits bringing “hatred or contempt” or exciting disaffection toward the government. It carries a prison sentence of up to three years.

Al-Kalbani claimed that in the early days of Islam, men and women used to pray in the same room, while in modern mosques women have a separate space for prayers.
“Sadly today, we are paranoid — in a mosque — a place of worship. They are completely separated from men, they cannot see them and can only hear them through microphones or speakers. And if the voice has been cut off, they wouldn’t know what is going on (during prayer). In the Prophet’s era… the men used to pray in the front and women prayed in the back of the mosque without a partition, not even a curtain”, the cleric said, as cited by Arab News.
He, however, noted positive changes in Saudi society, which has become more inclusive of women, including a royal decree lifting a ban on female drivers.
“This is a kind of phobia of women, fear of them doubt in them. Until recently, we were scared to give her a car, to let her go out. We began to constantly hear that a woman became a deputy minister, ambassador and other high ranking positions”.
Drastic changes were brought into the lives of Saudi women when Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman announced a series of reforms related to socio-economic and cultural spheres as part of his Vision 2030 project.
Having opened up the world of entertainment to women, the kingdom has since hosted a whole row of concerts (female-only, mixed-gender), a Comic-Con pop culture festival, and a mixed-gender national day celebration, when people danced to electronic music for the very first time.
In addition, the Saudi king lifted the ban on women driving cars and allowed them to attend sport events at stadiums. Likewise, for the first time in its history, Saudi Arabia appointed a woman, Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, as ambassador to the United States.”

At the beginning of this week, several commentators rediscovered facts about the “unmasking” of Americans that we have known for more than two years. The public was afforded specific notification of the facts in an order issued by the chief judge of the FISA court, Rosemary Collyer, in April 2017. That order was released in redacted form. The order was issued in response to a report made by NSA’s Admiral Mike Rogers in October 2016, outlining abuses of FISA data pulls that been rampant for several years.
Although a number of bloggers wrote about it at the time (including related treatments I did of the topic of unmasking in 2017), the prospect of Attorney General William Barr being able to declassify agency records on this matter has raised it to a new prominence. Independent analysts could suggest in 2017 that we needed an investigation and answers. With Barr’s authority signed by President Trump, we now have the possibility of getting those answers.
The specific catalyst for this week’s wave of interest appears to be a radio interview attorney Joe DiGenova did recently (embedded below). This is the tip of the iceberg, the Obama administration was spying on many more people then the Trump campaign/administration. Fasting Muslim men and women queued in front of Great Mosque of Sanaa on Tuesday to have their eyes lined with kohl as part of a tradition for the holy month of Ramadan.
Grown men winced and shed tears as the traditional powder cosmetic was applied to their eyes.
“This is a treatment that works for migraine. It cleans the eyes,” said a kohl-seller echoing a popular belief that the black powder has medicinal benefits.
“I have eye infection so I have come to the Great Mosque of Sanaa more than once just to get the kohl eyeliner,” said a local after receiving his kohl fix.
