Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Moon of Alabama – Why The Takedown Of Heinz-Christian Strache Will Strengthen The Right

During the last days a right wing politician in Austria was taken down by using an elaborate sting. Until Friday Heinz-Christian Strache was leader of the far right (but not fascist) Freedom Party of Austria (FPOe) and the Vice Chancellor of the country. On Friday morning two German papers, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung and Der Spiegel published (German) reports (English) about an old video that was made to take Strache down.

The FPOe has good connections with United Russia, the party of the Russian President Putin, and to other right-wing parties in east Europe. It’s pro-Russian position has led to verbal attacks on and defamation of the party from NATO supporting and neoliberal circles.

In July 2017 Strache and his right hand man Johann Gudenus, who is also the big number in the FPOe, get invited for dinner to a rented villa on Ibiza, the Spanish tourist island in the Mediterranean. They are told that the daughter of a Russian billionaire plans large investments in Austria. It was said that she would like to help his party. The alleged daughter of the Russian billionaire, who is actually also Austrian, and her “friend” serve an expensive dinner. Alcohol flows freely. The pair offers a large party donation but asks for returns in form of mark ups on public contracts.

Unknown to Strache the villa is professionally bugged with many hidden cameras and microphones.

During the six hour long party several schemes get proposed by the “Russian” and are discussed. Strache rejects most of them. He insists several times that everything they plan or do must be legal and conform to the law. He says that a large donation could probably be funneled through an endowment that would then support his party. It is a gray area under Austrian party financing laws. They also discuss if the “Russian” could buy the Kronen Zeitung, Austria’s powerful tabloid, and use it to prop up his party.

The evening goes on with several bottles of vodka on the table. Starche gets a bit drunk and boosts in front of the “oligarch daughter” about all his connections to rich and powerful people. He does not actually have these.

Strache says that, in exchange for help for his party, the “Russian” could get public contracts for highway building and repair. Currently most of such contracts in Austria go to the large Austrian company, STRABAG, that is owned by a neoliberal billionaire who opposes the FPOe. At that time Strache was not yet in the government and had no way to decide about such contracts.

At one point Strache seems to understand that the whole thing is a setup. But his right hand man calms him down and vouches for the “Russian”. The sting ends with Strache and his companion leaving the place. The never again see the “Russian” and her co-plotter. Nothing they talked about will ever come to fruition.

Three month later Strache and his party win more than 20% in the Austrian election and form a coalition government with the conservative party OeVP led by Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. Even while the FPOe controls several ministries, it does not achieve much politically. It lacks a real program and the government’s policies are mostly run by the conservatives.

Nearly two years after the evening on Ibiza, ten days before the European parliament election in which Strache’s party is predicted to achieve good results, a video of the evening on Ibiza is handed to two German papers which are known to be have strong transatlanticist leanings and have previously been used for other shady ‘leaks’. The papers do not hesitate to take part in the plot and publish extensive reports about the video.

After the reports appeared Strache immediately stepped down and the conservatives ended the coalition with his party. Austria will now have new elections.

    • RT – ‘No proof of crime’: Austrian prosecutor won’t launch probe over leaked video scandal

Austrian prosecutors have examined the scandalous videotape which cost vice-chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache his job and said they couldn’t find any grounds to launch an investigation over its content.

“There’s no specific proof of a crime being committed coming from this [the video],” Oesterreich 1 radio revealed, citing the statement from the prosecutors.

The Justice Ministry’s General Secretary Christian Pilnacek earlier warned that there were only extracts of the footage available, which would make it impossible to assess the full context of what was going on.

A major political crisis unfolded in Austria on Friday after German papers, Spiegel and Suddeutsche Zeitung, published a video of Strache and another high-ranking member of his rightwing populist Freedom Party (FPO), Johann Gudenus, talking to a woman who claimed to be a “niece of a Russian oligarch.”

They discussed how the woman could support their campaign during the 2017 general election in Austria in exchange for future preferences in getting government contracts in the field of construction. One of the things on the agenda was her buying a majority share in a tabloid newspaper to use it as a platform to promote the FPO.

Strache called the leak of the footage a “political assassination,” announcing resignations from both the position of vice-chancellor and party’s leader. He didn’t dispute the authenticity of the tape. On the contrary, the 49-year-old insisted that it should be made public in its entirety so that everyone could see that he maintained during the meeting that at all the assistance could only be provided “within the law.”

After the news broke, thousands took to the streets of Vienna, demanding a snap election, with Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen later suggesting that the vote should take place in early September.

Suddeutsche Zeitung identified the woman speaking to the Strache and Gudenus in the video as the niece of gas tycoon Igor Makarov. But the businessman denied those claims, saying that he had no family links to that woman and was “an only child” in his family.

      =======================================================
RT – ‘I was only child’: Russian oligarch denies links to woman in epicenter of Austrian leak scandal

Igor Makarov, a Russian oligarch whose supposed “niece” was filmed discussing alleged shady deals with the Austrian vice-chancellor, stated he has no family links to that woman as he was “an only child” in his family.

“It is widely known that I was the only child in my family, and I have no nieces whatsoever,” Makarov’s spokesperson told Forbes’ Russian edition. “I have no family bonds with the woman who calls herself Alena Makarova and I don’t know her at all, he added.

The woman in question featured in a video leaked to two German publications, Spiegel and Suddeutsche Zeitung. The 2017 footage shows her meeting with Heinz-Christian Strache, Austrian vice-chancellor and leader of the rightwing populist Freedom Party (FPO), and his aide Johann Gudenus, allegedly discussing corruption schemes.

While Spiegel did not identify the woman in their initial article, Suddeutsche Zeitung wrote that she was introduced to the politicians as “a niece” of Igor Makarov, “a Russian oligarch close to [President Vladimir] Putin.”

Makarov is the founder of Itera (now Areti), Russia’s first non-state gas company. In the late-1990s, the firm re-sold gas from the former Soviet republic of Turkmenistan, where Makarov was born. He is ranked 48th in the list of Russia’s wealthiest people with an estimated net worth of $2.1 billion.

As the story unfolds, Makarov’s company is now “using all lawful means to establish who was behind the illegal use of [his] name.”

Meanwhile in Austria, the scandal led to the resignation of Strache as vice-chancellor and head of the FPO. The government, led by conservative Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, proposed a snap election set for early September of this year. Strache denies any wrongdoings, saying the leaked video lacks key details and its publication two years after the events was “a political assassination.”

“They were walking home from the Skolener and Bobover Rebbes’ Tisch early Saturday morning at 1:30am when they were harassed by 4 men in a vehicle (with TLC plates) who yelled “Allah Akbar” sending the two boys away in terror. The car sped up after them, when one of them yelled “Do you know Hitler? We love Hitler!” The two teens were terrified, and one of the boy’s parents reached out to me right after Shabbos to let me know what happened; I immediately mobilized and accompanied them to the local police (66th) precinct where they have filed a report. The case is being referred to the NYPD’s Bias Unit as the use of a vehicle constituted a physical threat.

Brooklyn has seen a sharp rise in anti-Semitic incidents and attacks in recent months. Last week a teenager turned himself in after punching a Hasidic man in the back of the head.

    • The public high school a few blocks away was daubed with jew-hate graffiti Friday. Explicit threats were chilling.
Two Chabads in the suburbs were attacked by arsonists over the weekend.
Two weeks ago a conservative congregation nearby was evacuated due to a bomb threat on Sabbath.

          • Thank-you, Babs. I’ll remember if the time comes. We don’t have many allies, but we’re not yet at a Crown Heights threat level.

The police and fire depts here are totally terrific. They’re as visible and engaged as they’d be for their own families.

To avoid copycats we’re not giving minor incidents publicity. My congregation abhors the victim image: they’re sabras or describe themselves as “Maccabean Jews”.

I’m not, but I understand their position. Sorta.

        • I’m not keeping track. Just coping with it, with the people affected.

The conservative shul was filled with elderly Russians – it’s social for them, not religious. Some of them came over, my Russki gave them vodka and listened. They’re tough, they laughed, but their grandchildren are Israelis.

My own synagogue burned down years ago, so our security is Israeli-tight. Modern Orthodox kippa-wearing, not as much a target as haredim or hassidim.

Still, various shades of Orthodox tend to live concentrated within a couple square miles. Has to be comfortable walking distance, mostly small congregations with huge families.

There’s a lively social life here. Every Friday night groups of kids are walking from one oneg shabbat to another. I never gave it a second thought. Now I’m wondering how long we’ve got.

        • Needham, Arlington –
Suburban Chabads, not anchored in an observant community, must be serving congregants who drive or ride on Sabbath. Maybe ba’al teshuva.

This place is high-density, less than a mile from the Harvard Med School and hospitals. It’s a high-rent, establishment neighborhood. JFK was born a few blocks away, the Dukakis’ house same distance.

Right in the middle is this couple of square miles of Orthodox Jewish life. Home to Rabbi Joseph Soloveitchik [z”l], the “Bostoner Rav” who founded Modern Orthodoxy.

The British spy chiefs were briefed on Christopher Steele’s junk Trump-Russia dossier before Donald Trump knew of its existence.

The heads of MI5, MI6 + one of Theresa May’s most trusted security advisers all knew of the Russian links claims before Trump.

[…]Trump knew the UK was in on it!

In April President Donald Trump tweeted out a stunning report by former CIA analyst Larry Johnson on OANN. Johnson accused the United Kingdom of helping the Obama administration spy on the 2016 Trump presidential campaign

[…]As the Russia meddling into the 2016 US election unwinds, the meddling by the UK, is becoming more and more apparent.

[…]Based on information to date, the UK had more to do with interfering with the US 2016 Presidential election than Russia.

The Obama team and the Clinton campaign spied on the Trump Administration and used the entire government apparatus, including the CIA, FBI, the DOJ and others, to do so. It appears, they also had help from the UK.

These crooks were willing to risk World War III with Russia rather than face a Trump Presidency. This all leads to the question – What is so damn damning that these many individuals would go to such brazen lengths to remove President Trump from office?
This is clearly 100 times worse than Watergate!

  5. Imagine aircraft so fast and manouverable that they defy our understanding of physics. This would require, along with a lot of soul searching, the reopening of enough science to choke a horse.

If our enemies possess such technology then why bother with the folly of fake dossiers to depose a President? We’re talking vehicles so fast, emitting no exhaust, turning on a high-speed dime–that such revolutionary tech would surely help save our planet. In fact such technology would rewrite alot of what we thought we knew. Wouldn’t it defuse much of our current strife? Not to mention the notion that with enemies so powerful where would be the contest? Unless…

Imagine aliens from another planet coming, finally, and revealing themselves. What if they came and said nothing more than a name? A single name of a single human out of the 7.4 billion now living? What would it do to us? What would it do to religion? What if we couldn’t find this person right away? What if they were not “plugged-in” like the rest of us? How focused would the world be on the first utterances of this individual once finally found? What would be this one mortal’s connection to these aliens? To the universe? To us.

Whose belief system would be tested the most? Those whose mettle is invested in the control of others, or those whose constitution has nothing to do with the control of others?

  8. Balochistan Militants Issue Threat to Chinese President, Pakistan – Report (sputniknews, May 20, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/asia/201905201075152566-baloch-militants-threaten-cpec-china/

“China is investing over $60 billion in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) that extends from Xinjiang Province in China to Gwadar in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. Pakistan has already deployed an army division for CPEC security.

New Delhi (Sputnik): The Majeed Brigade of Balochistan Liberation Army’s (BLA) has warned China and Pakistan of repercussions if they fail to withdraw their projects from Balochistan Province in Pakistan, reports India’s ANI news agency.

The BLA reportedly urged Chinese President Xi Jinping to leave Balochistan or face retaliation.

“President Xi Jinping, you still have time to quit Balochistan or you will witness retaliation from Baloch sons and daughters that you will never forget,” ANI quoted a BLA commander as saying in a video.

The Majeed Brigade is also known as the “self-sacrificing squad” of the BLA.
On 11 May, four Majeed Brigade fighters attacked a 5-star hotel, Pearl Continental, in Balochistan’s port city of Gwadar and engaged Pakistani forces for 26 hours, raising serious questions about the security cover existing for Sino-Pakistan development projects, including a deep-sea port.

Eight days after the deadly attack against the Gwadar hotel, the Majeed Brigade released the video threatening the Chinese president and the government of Pakistan.

“China you came here without our consent, supported our enemies, helped Pakistani military in wiping our villages. But now it’s our turn,” the BLA commander in the video added.

Adding to his anti-Sino-Pak tirade, the commander in the video is heard describing the motive of the Gwadar hotel attack and its aims. “The motive of our attack was to inflict heavy losses upon both Pakistan and China.”

“It is a simple and clear message to China and Pakistan to withdraw immediately from Balochistan. This warning to China and Pakistan was also given by our leader Gen Aslam Baloch. But China failed to pay heed. We once again make it clear that Gwadar and the rest of Balochistan belong to Balochistan. It is our duty to protect our land and our sea,” the Indian news agency quoted him as saying.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has deployed an army division to protect interests in Sino-Pakistan development projects including those in the Balochistan region.

Pakistan has been facing an insurgency in Balochistan since 1947, with Baloch nationalist organisations struggling to create an independent state. The Balochi is also a major ethnic minority in Iran and Afghanistan.”

  9. Outrage as Swedish TV Channel Stops ‘Swexit’ Ad Ahead of EU Parliament Vote (sputniknews, May 20, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201905201075146672-sweden-swexit-alternative/

“The ad features the word ‘Swexit’ and had been expected to reach over two and a half million viewers. The right-wing Alternative for Sweden party has called this “the most meddling so far” in the EU election.

The Swedish state channel TV4 has stopped the right-wing Alternative for Sweden’s party ad in the run-up to the EU election.

The short 15 seconds long ad features the word Swexit spelled out in blue letters on a yellow background, Sweden’s national colours, narrated by a kid’s voice.

Alternative for Sweden (AfS) held talks with TV4 already in April. The party wanted to have its ad aired during week 21 until the election day on 26 May, and was admittedly waiting for the final confirmation.

However, the state television opted out of the deal, offering now explanation, according to the AfS.

“TV4 poses a threat to freedom of expression and democracy. The biggest influencing operation in this election comes from TV4. They are the only channel in Sweden that can broadcast political advertising, and now they prohibit advertising from the only party that drives the issue of EU withdrawal. There is a large group of EU opponents in Sweden, and TV4 does not want us as a party to reach out to them. Obviously, this affects the election results in a crucial way”, AfS leader Gustav Kasselstrand said.

According to the AfS, the decision violates TV4’s own rules that state that all parties are offered equal advertising conditions in opinion advertising in the context of the 2019 EU election.

The AfS also published its e-mail correspondence with TV4, with the channel conspicuously refusing to justify its negative decision.

“Unbelievable. Had the opposition in Hungary, Poland or Russia had been completely shut down from advertising in the middle of a crucial election campaign, it would have been a major news in Sweden and spurred gossip about the lack of democracy and calls for sanctions”, AfS politician Erik Almqvist wrote on Facebook.

“Good! More publicity for AfS! More people are understanding why the party is needed in this ‘democratoship’ called Sweden”, a user tweeted in support of AfS.

In another ad, AfS calls Sweden’s EU membership a “catastrophe”, which cost the country half a trillion kronor ($51 billion).

“Each year, we send SEK 40 billion [$4,1 billion] from Sweden to Brussels”, AfS said, accusing the Swedish politicians of having tacitly signed agreement after agreement ceding power from the people of Sweden to foreign politicians and lobbyists…”

  10. Fury as UK Church Offers to ‘Cover up’ Jesus and Crosses for Muslim Prayer (sputniknews, May 20, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201905201075149777-uk-church-ramadan-prayer/

“A former chaplain to the Queen argued that covering up the image of Jesus would be tantamount to disrespecting him in his own house.

An Anglican parish church in the UK has courted controversy over its plans to cover up religious imagery while hosting a Muslim prayer.

The vicar of the St. Matthew and St. Luke’s church in Darlington had invited Muslims attending a nearby mosque to commemorate the holy month of Ramadan in her church, The Times reports.

Male worshippers were expected to say prayers in an aisle while women would be separated off into smaller rooms.

According to records of a meeting between Reverend Lissa Scott and Muslim representatives, the church pledged to cover up Christian crosses and photographs as well an image of Jesus.

Ironically enough, it appears that the picture was a copy of The Light of the World, a world-famous painting by English pre-Raphaelite William Holman Hunt, which depicts Jesus Christ knocking on a closed door, which is thought to symbolise the closed human mind.

However the Diocese of Durham is said to have pulled the plug on the plans, saying that “an act of worship from a non-Christian faith tradition is not permitted within a consecrated Church of England building”, according to canon law.

The decision came after a high-profile cleric called the proposal to place religious symbols under cover a “shameful cover-up”.

Gavin Ashenden, who served as chaplain to Queen Elizabeth between 2008 and 2017, said: “When Muslims come into our church, we invite them to come in and respect Jesus. If we accepted an invitation to go into a mosque, we would respect Muhammad.”

“We do not expect them to disrespect Jesus by covering him up and no vicar should either.”

His comments garnered support from both worshippers and non-believers on social media…”

  11. EU Commission Riddled with False Expenses Claims, Harassment Allegations (breitbart, May 20, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/05/20/eu-commission-riddled-false-expenses-claims-harassment/

“Jean-Claude Juncker’s European Commission is riddled with false expenses claims and cases of harassment, according to reports.

Some 77 cases were investigated by the EU Commission’s discipline watchdog last year, a Mail on Sunday investigation has revealed. Among the investigations recorded were several instances of staff claiming expenses in order to pay off family members, with one employee supposedly receiving physiotherapy treatment from a relative and charging the Commission the expenses to pay for it.

Other examples include faked medical expenses, false invoices, and attempts to award EU contracts to family members. One official was fired due to “professional extortion and passive bribery”.

As well as the false expenses and financial claims, 14 members of staff were also accused of harassment, with one staff member sacked for “aggressive and threatening” behaviour.

Despite the long list of potential scandals, however, only three staff members were reported to have lost their jobs over the accusations, with a further seven merely demoted.

Meanwhile, 21 incidents were recorded as “non-cases”, with a further 21 not acted upon.

Ironically, one of the members of staff who was sanctioned saw themselves stripped of their post because they had been whistleblowing on the EU Commission, reporting embarrassing instances to a newspaper.

In response, a spokesman for the Commission claimed: “When allegations of misconduct are established, they are sanctioned appropriately.”

They went on to justify the behaviour by suggesting that “The number of cases referred to in the report have to be measured against the overall number of staff — some 32,000 in total.”

Dr Lee Rotherham of the EU-focused think tank Red Cell told the Mail: “This report demonstrates why the UK was right to vote to leave the EU. It also looks like more evidence of the poor treatment of EU whistleblowers who try to do the right thing. It is a timely reminder of why the UK should not still be so generously feeding the EU budget.”

Dr Rotherham went on to condemn the lack of transparency and accountability of the EU, saying: “Once taxpayer money ends up in Brussels, people spending it lose any sense of ownership and accountability. But it doesn’t come from a magic EU money tree. It comes from ordinary hardworking people’s payslips.””

“Italy’s hard-line Interior Minister Matteo Salvini threatened possible legal action Monday after 47 migrants rescued at sea by a humanitarian aid ship landed on the southern Italian island of Lampedusa despite his explicit ban against them.

The German aid group Sea-Watch said the 47 migrants were transferred to Lampedusa on Sunday evening with the cooperation of the Coast Guard and financial police. They were among 65 migrants rescued off the coast of Libya last week.

Salvini had given permission for 18 migrants — mostly families with young children — to be brought to land on Friday. But he told a campaign rally that the rest would not be allowed into Italy as long as he remained on the job…”

  13. Egypt says after bus attack, 12 militants killed in Cairo (abcnews, May 20, 2019)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/egypt-bus-attack-12-militants-killed-cairo-63146308

“Egypt says security forces killed 12 members of a militant group with suspected links to the now-outlawed Muslim Brotherhood in shootouts in Cairo, just hours after a roadside bomb struck a tourist bus near the Giza Pyramids, wounding at least 17.

The Interior Ministry says seven of the militants were killed in a firefight when police raided their hideout in the Sixth of October suburb. The remaining five were shot and killed after opening fire on police storming their residences in Cairo’s Shorouk suburb.

The ministry says explosive devices, weapons and ammunition were found in the militants’ possession. It says the militants belonged to “Hasm,” an armed faction of the Brotherhood.

Sunday’s roadside bomb wounded at least 17 people including South African tourists.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack.”

  14. Iraqi Shiite figures warn US-Iran war could ‘burn’ Iraq (abcnews, May 20, 2019)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/iraqi-shiite-figures-warn-us-iran-war-burn-63147450

“Leading Iraqi Shiite figures warned Monday against attempts to pull their country into a war between the U.S. and Iran, saying it would turn Iraq into a battlefield yet again, just as it is on the path to recovery.

The warning came hours after a rocket slammed into Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone, landing less than a mile from the sprawling U.S. Embassy. No injuries were reported and no group immediately claimed the Sunday night attack.

Shortly after, President Donald Trump tweeted a warning to Iran not to threaten the United States or it will face its “official end.”

Last week, the U.S. ordered the evacuation of nonessential diplomatic staff from Iraq amid unspecified threats from Iran and rising tensions across the region. The White House has also sent warships and bombers to the Persian Gulf to counter the alleged Iranian threats.

On Monday, two influential Shiite clerics and a leading politician — all with close ties to Iran — warned that Iraq could once again get caught in the middle. The country hosts more than 5,000 U.S. troops, and is home to powerful Iranian-backed militias, some of whom want those U.S. forces to leave.

Populist Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr said any political party that would drag Iraq in a U.S.-Iran war “would be the enemy of the Iraqi people.”

“This war would mark the end of Iraq,” the black-turbaned al-Sadr warned. “We need peace and reconstruction.”

Qais al-Khazali, the leader the Iranian-backed Asaib Ahl al-Haq, or League of the Righteous group, tweeted that he is opposed to operations that “give pretexts for war” and added that they would only “harm Iraq’s political, economic and security conditions.”

For the Shiite-majority Iraq to be a theater for proxy wars is not new. It lies on the fault line between Shiite Iran and the mostly Sunni Arab world, led by powerhouse Saudi Arabia, and has long been the setting where Saudi-Iran rivalry for regional supremacy played out.

After America’s 2003 invasion of Iraq to oust dictator Saddam Hussein, American troops and Iranian-backed militiamen fought pitched battles around the country, and scores of U.S. troops were killed or wounded by sophisticated Iranian-made weapons.

The office of Hadi al-Amiri, the leader of a coalition of Shiite paramilitary forces backed by both Baghdad and Tehran, released a statement calling on Iraqis to work together “to keep Iraq and the region away from war.”

“If war breaks out … it will burn everyone,” al-Amiri warned.”

  15. A leaked report by OPCW engineers contradicts the chemical watchdog’s official report on the April 2018 incident in Syria, and raises questions about political pressure by US, UK and France on the UN body.
In April 2018, as Syrian government forces recaptured the city of Douma from Islamist militants, the “White Helmets” claimed a chemical attack with chlorine and sarin gas killed over 40 people. Not waiting for UN investigators to reach the site, the US, UK and France launched airstrikes against government positions and declared President Bashar Assad was to blame.

In its final report on the incident, published in March 2019, the fact-finding mission of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) found no sarin, but said the cylinders with “molecular chlorine” were dropped from the air. The report cited unnamed, unspecified external “experts.” But there was another report, by OPCW engineers, that challenged these conclusions – and was never included in the final document.

  18. Spain Fears EU Under Threat of Collapse, Names ‘Enemies’ Within and Outside Bloc (sputniknews, May 20, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201905201075161482-josep-borrell-eu-elections/

“The statement comes a few days after a survey commissioned by the European Council on Foreign Relations, a think tank, revealed that more than half of Europeans believe that the disintegration of the European Union is a “realistic possibility” in the next 10-20 years.

Acting Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Borrell, who is also a Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party candidate in the upcoming European Parliament elections, has called for urgent changes to take place in the EU so that the bloc can continue to exist.

“There is a growing awareness that Europe cannot continue to function as [it did] before. Europe must change in order to survive” Borrell told the Spanish newspaper El Mundo.

He claimed that “Europe is needed more than ever” but that currently, “it is under threat”.

According to Borrell, Europe has now many enemies, including Brexit, China, the presidents of the US and Russia, as well as Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini.

At the same time, Borrell argued that Europe “can turn these risks into opportunities”, suggesting that “[US President Donald] Trump’s attack on the German trade surplus will force Berlin to change its economic model”.

“Maybe Brexit will force us to move faster towards a political union, while Salvini and Orban will prod Germany to seriously consider the protection of fundamental rights,” Borrell pointed out.

His speculation comes after a poll released by the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) last week indicated that a majority of citizens in 14 European countries, including France, Germany, Belgium and Italy, believe that the EU is likely to collapse within the next 20 years.

Commenting on the survey’s results, ECFR director Mark Leonard said that pro-European parties should offer voters “bold ideas” so as to ensure that the continent’s “silent majority” vote in the forthcoming EU elections.

“There are seven days to resolve the paradox at the heart of the European project. Support for EU membership is at its highest level since 1983, and yet a majority of voters fear the EU might collapse. The challenge for pro-Europeans is to use this fear of loss to mobilise their silent majority and ensure it is not just the anti-system parties who get their say,” Leonard noted.

The new composition of the European Commission and its head will be determined in line with the results of the EU vote scheduled for 23-26 May.”

  19. Trump vows to ‘end’ Iran if it threatens US again

President Trump threatened to destroy Iran in a tweet sent in the wake of reports that a rocket was fired into Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone less than a mile from the US Embassy.

“If Iran wants to fight, that will be the official end of Iran. Never threaten the United States again!,” Trump tweeted Sunday afternoon.

It’s unclear exactly what prompted Trump’s posting, but news outlets reported explosions in Iraq’s capital and that a rocket launcher was discovered in eastern Baghdad, an area that is home to Iranian-backed Shiite militias.

    • Saudis say they will defend themselves, as Trump warns Iran

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Saudi Arabia does not want war but will not hesitate to defend itself against Iran, a top Saudi diplomat said Sunday after the kingdom’s energy sector was targeted this past week amid heightened tensions in the Persian Gulf.

U.S. President Donald Trump, meanwhile, warned Iran that it will face destruction if it seeks a fight, while Iranian officials said their country isn’t looking for war. Trump spoke after a rocket hit near the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.

Adel al-Jubeir, the Saudi minister of state for foreign affairs, spoke a week after four oil tankers— two of them Saudi — were targeted in an alleged act of sabotage off the coast of the United Arab Emirates and days after Iran-allied Yemeni rebels claimed a drone attack on a Saudi oil pipeline.

“The kingdom of Saudi Arabia does not want war in the region and does not strive for that… but at the same time, if the other side chooses war, the kingdom will fight this with all force and determination and it will defend itself, its citizens and its interests,” al-Jubeir told reporters.

    • The talking heads on the left are talking about Bolton and Pompeo trying to start a war, that PT is risking his credibility by no reacting to the missile, that 120,000 troops aren’t near enough.

First Trump threatened massive reaction if Iran or their surrogates attack us, not fire a missile to land over a mile away. Iran is testing the limits on what they can do.

Second if you go back and check the Trump doctrine (as stated early on) is that if attacked we respond with over whelming force (killing people and breaking things) that leaves the country we respond to in tatters with little to no military or infrastructure left. He did say we weren’t going to fight small wars that don’t do any good.

Third the response will probably be in the form of cruise missiles and bombing attacks from B2’s and once the anti-air weapons have been degraded by fighters. The 120,000 troops are probably there to be guard forces for US facilities in the region. The number is about right for that purpose but is way too low for a ground invasion of Iran.

The programed hysteria is what you get when the Propaganda Media goes into mass attack mode. They are no longer journalists but are paid propagandists and partisan attack dogs for the political left. Their repeated ignoring of the facts and their open lies are destroying the small amount of credibility that they had left.

Bethany Austin learned her fiance had been unfaithful in late-May 2016.

After sharing a home with him for seven years, Matthew Rychlik was having an affair with a neighbor. The relationship was unsalvageable according to court documents; they even argued over how to call off the wedding – Rychlik wanted to tell family and friends it was mutual, Austin wanted to tell them the truth, that Rychlik was cheating on her.

But the situation escalated, and Rychlik told the world in his own way, from his own point of view. According to court documents, he spread rumors about his “crazy” fiancee and announced he was “sleeping at another girl’s house” because Austin “never cooks or does house chores,” NPR reported.

Then, Bethany Austin admits she sent friends and family a four-page letter that contained text messages between Rychlik and the neighbor, Elizabeth Dreher, including nude photos of Dreher. Austin had access to all of their conversations and photos because she shared an iCloud account with Rychlik, court documents show. Because of that, she received all of his conversations with the neighbor on her own phone. Rychlik and Dreher acknowledged they knew this.

Austin was arrested and charged with a felony: “nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images,” otherwise known as revenge porn.

In a motion filed in March at the Supreme Court of Illinois, Austin challenged the revenge-porn law itself, calling it unconstitutional. Yes, she was a scorned woman. But according to court documents, Austin argued she was exercising “her freedom of speech.”

MARACAIBO, Venezuela (AP) — U.S. sanctions on oil-rich Venezuela appear to be taking hold, resulting in mile-long lines for fuel in the South American nation’s second-largest city, Maracaibo.

  22. Friend, foe or unknown force flying overhead? Congress should find out

Since 2015, dozens of Navy F-18 fighter jets have encountered unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAPs) — once commonly referred to as UFOs — off the East Coast of the United States, some not far from the nation’s capital. Encounters have been reported by other military aircraft and civilian airliners elsewhere in the U.S. and abroad, too, including videos shot by airline passengers.

What these UAPs were and who was flying them — whether friends, foes or unknown forces — remains a mystery. Yet careful examination of the data inevitably leads to one possible, disturbing conclusion: A potential adversary of the United States has mastered technologies we do not yet understand to achieve capabilities we cannot yet match.

It is long past time for Congress to discover the answers to those questions and to share at least some of its conclusions with the public.

China is hitting back the U.S., yet again, after an American naval vessel conducted a routine navigation in the South China Sea.

On Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang claimed the U.S. is “abusing its freedom of navigation” in the waterway, and accused the White House of trying to “disturb regional peace and stability.” Beijing has attempted to claim sole-ownership over the sea, which is used as a trade and transportation hub by several nations.

  24. https://twitter.com/Kimbo_NorthWest
I can’t recall how I got to this Twitter feed this morning. What I can say is that I have spent the last few hours, branching off from this Twitter, reviewing the TR election rallies over the last several days. If you just want to take a short cut go to Rebel Media for the highlights.
First, the situation in Manchester was an absolute disgrace. The police literally led armed Muslim yobs to the TR rally in order to inflict physical harm on the attendees. There is convincing video footage and sound to support this statement.
While watching this I thought Isn’t this a disgrace. And then I thought about Berkeley, San Jose, Portland, Seattle and Charlotsville. Isn’t that exactly what happened there? The police took marching orders from the liberal politicians and allowed violent confrontation…
The difference is that these US municipalities and their police forces are being SUED for this behavior. I believe San Jose has already been found guilty…
To my knowledge this isn’t the case in the UK and Europe. As far as I can tell in Germany and France Antifa act with impunity. In fact, there is a case to be made that the current gov’ts encourage their behavior to suppress opposing opinion. In the UK Muslim gangs can do what they want with no fear of arrest, at least till the grooming gangs were so openly exposed that the elite could no longer cover them up. Certainly, a mob marched into a political rally yielding bricks, bottles filled with urine and other projectiles with NO POLICE ARRESTS really asks a couple of questions:
    What is going on here?
How much longer will the indigenous citizens put up with this?
Unfortunately, my answer to the first question is that there are very powerful people that have specific interests that are just fine with crushing the indigenous people of a nation. They have successfully brainwashed or shown clearly to the underling’s which side their bread is buttered on, to go along with this. Why else would a police force, either in the UK, Germany, France or the USA allow a peaceful assembly , not only allow but facilitate it, to come under attack?
The second question is harder to answer. Right now we are having a mighty struggle at the ballot box, Australia being the most recent example. If this doesn’t work I guess the next question will be how quickly can one import guns and explosives into a country, particularly the UK. Let’s face it, it is possible. The Ariana Grande concert told us that.
I don’t think the status quo have their backs quite at the wall YET… But it is coming.

    • “As far as I can tell in Germany and France Antifa act with impunity. In fact, there is a case to be made that the current gov’ts encourage their behavior to suppress opposing opinion.”

I am pretty sure Merkel and some part of the UK government sponsors ANTIFA with heapum big cash. Just look at what happened in Chemnitz, and when the chief of intel of Germany busted the plot, he was fired! Then we have what happened to Austria. Merkel was certainly one of the people behind that.

In England the labour party and chief of a major union was caught funding ANTIFA if memory serves, and that was around the time they attacked some politician and hit him in the head with a hammer.

Will the public favour Nigel Farage’s new Brexit Party?

    • BREITBART – Exclusive: Farage Suspects Remain Nexus Funded by ‘Lots of George Soros’s Money’

EXETER, United Kingdom — At a rally where Nigel Farage implored campaigners to be “happy warriors” in the final days of the EU election campaign, the Brexit Party leader invited scrutiny of the foreign funding of the anti-Brexit campaign.

Speaking during a cross-country day of rallies, Mr Farage told Breitbart London closer scrutiny of the funding of Remain-supporting campaign groups would likely reveal “lots of George Soros’s money”, among other sources.

The funding of anti-Brexit campaigns by the Hungarian billionaire and convicted insider trader is a matter of record, with 2018 reports noting Mr Soros’s donations to just one of the dozens of groups in the Remain nexus hitting £800,000.

A spokesman for Mr Soros’s Open Society Foundations (OSF) non-governmental organisation said at that time that the money was going to pay for a “campaign for a meaningful vote on the final Brexit proposal.”

As well as funding anti-Brexit groups through his OSF organisation, Mr Soros has also taken a personal interest in Brexit negotiations, meeting privately with arch-Remainer and Iraq War architect Tony Blair and the European Commission at the Davos summit earlier this year. While the details of the meeting were heavily redacted in a Commission report, the EU Observer news site reported at the time they were said to have revolved around working to prevent the United Kingdom from leaving the European Union.

Criticism of the use of foreign funding channelled into British politics by the Hungarian-American plutocrat have been dismissed as being founded in anti-Semitism by his defenders.

Yet critics of Mr Soros, an avowed atheist, have included Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who accused the billionaire of being “hostile to Israel”, and funding groups which work to “erase the Jewish nature of Israel”.

The leader of the world’s only Jewish state has also strongly backed Hungarian leader Viktor Orban in his campaign to reduce the influence of Soros in Hungarian domestic politics and society. The Israeli foreign ministry even issued a statement that anti-Semitism accusations should not be used to “delegitimise criticism of George Soros, who continuously undermines Israel’s democratically-elected governments,” adding that his organisations “defame the Jewish state and seek to deny it the right to defend itself.”

Breitbart Jerusalem editor Aaron Klein wrote earlier this year on groups involved in anti-Semitic boycotts and their links to Mr Soros, noting in his report:

In January, Israel released a list of 20 BDS-supporting organizations whose members will be banned from entering Israel due to their BDS activism, prominently featuring six American groups. At least four of the six BDS-promoting U.S. groups receive funding tied to Soros. Scores of other U.S. organizations that support the BDS movement are financed by Soros.

Monday’s comments by Mr Farage come amid repeated questions from the mainstream media over funding which has focused mainly on the Brexit Party.

The Brexit Party has insisted the vast majority of its funds have come from individual £25 donations by over 100,000 supporters, and has offered to show its accounts to the Electoral Commission this week in a bid to quash the claims.

Mr Farage himself has rejected allegations about funding as a “disgusting smear”.

In separate comments Monday, Mr Farage told Breitbart London that British democracy was being “traduced” by attempts to overturn the 2016 referendum, and warned that while the British people were slow to anger, they had been pushed too far over the matter of Brexit.

      Mr Farage said:

“A series of promises have been broken; the greatest democratic exercise in British history has been betrayed. This is the fightback, and I hope we’re going to stun everybody on Thursday, not with a one-off protest vote, but the beginning of a new political movement that is going to radically change the whole system, and the face of politics in Britain. That’s how ambitious I am.”

Addressing the crowd, the Brexit leader rejected the Brexit Party supporting the Conservatives if they selected Boris Johnson as their next leader unconditionally. In remarks that take on new relevance amid rising poll ratings for his new party, and a suggestion it could work together with the Conservatives to deliver Brexit by a backbench Tory MP, Mr Farage warned the gathered activists:

“Boris said that [Theresa May’s treaty] would reduce us to ‘vassalage’. And what did he do? He voted for it. Why would we ever trust anything we’re told by either of those parties ever again?

“We’ve got to try and shake up the two party system, it only serves itself. So remember, we’re turning the anger into something positive, and I urge you all, be happy warriors!”

Other stops on Farage’s Monday tour of England take him to Newcastle, Wakefield, and Bolton. While on a walkabout meeting the public in Newcastle Monday afternoon, a milkshake was thrown at Mr Farage — part of a growing trend which a left-liberal media seem to find highly amusing, despite having previous feigned horror at members of the public merely heckling anti-Brexit MPs.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of common assault after the attack and Mr Farage is reported to be pressing charges.

  28. Illinois likely to impose illegal racial and gender quotas on companies
By Hans Bader May 19, 2019

llinois is America’s worst managed state based on measures such as cash solvency, budget solvency, ability to meet long-term spending commitments, and unfunded pension liabilities and debt. It is losing population as residents leave due to rising taxes and deteriorating services. In 2016, it lost more people than any other state. By then, it had already racked up $130 billion in unfunded pension obligations. Such hidden indebtedness, and “chronic deficits,” forced bond-rating agencies to downgrade its debt to near junk status.

Rather than fix itself, the government of Illinois wants to manage private companies instead. The Illinois legislature is moving forward on a bill to impose racial and gender quotas on corporate boards. “Companies that fail to meet the quota would be fined up to $100,000,” notes the Chicago Tribune.

As the News-Gazette notes, the Illinois legislature apparently thinks “it’s time for it to decide the demographics of individuals — meaning race and sex — who serve on the boards of private corporations that are headquartered in Illinois or are incorporated in Illinois while headquartered elsewhere.”

  29. Fran Lebowitz to Bill Maher: Trump should be handed over to Saudis, butchered like Khashoggi
By Joe Newby May 19, 2019

Veteran social commentator Fran Lebowitz was once compared with the great satirist Dorothy Parker, which was as undeservedly flattering to the hard-edged Lebowitz as it was insulting to the witty Parker, whose comedic genius followed her to the grave. (Her epitaph, which she wrote, was “Excuse my dust.”)

Lebowitz, whose creative output is limited these days mostly to writing for “Vanity Fair,” was a guest on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” last Friday, where she suggested handing Donald Trump over to the Saudis to be butchered in the same manner as Washington Post reporter Jamal Khashoggi, who was brutally murdered and dismembered.

“Whenever I think about this and what he really deserves,” she said, referring to the president, “I think we should turn him over to the Saudis! His buddies! The same Saudis who got rid of that reporter. Maybe they could do the same for him!” The comment was greeted by laughter and applause from the audience.

The Daily Mail reports that Lebowitz attempted to walk back her comment later in the show after learning it had caused a stir on social media.

Deputies say just before midnight, two men got into an argument in the parking lot outside the mosque during a Ramadan event attended by several hundred people.

At some point during the argument, one of the men fired at the other.

An off-duty deputy, who had just finished working security detail at the event, heard the gun shots and rushed to the parking lot.

The Sheriff’s Office reports the deputy found one man holding a gun and another man who had been shot at least two times. The deputy detained the suspect shooter until additional units arrived on scene.

Paramedics rushed the victim to Tampa General Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

Authorities say the public is not in danger. They believe the two men knew one other and were both attending prayer services at the mosque.

Homicide detectives are interviewing the shooter who is cooperating. They want to determine the nature of the argument and whether the shooting could be classified as self defense.

    No charges have been filed.

The Sheriff’s Office says there is no indication the shooting is in any way related to a terror attack and only appears to be a dispute between the two people involved.

Deployment of aircraft carrier battle group and B-52 bombers demonstrates unmistaken U.S. resolve.

During his presidential run, Donald Trump argued that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, colloquially known as the Iran deal, was among the worst deals ever negotiated by the United States with a foreign power and promised to withdraw from the JCPOA if elected. In May 2018, Trump kept his word but granted waivers to eight countries to continue purchasing Iranian oil. In May 2019 those waivers expired, further constricting Iran’s ability to export oil.

Sanctions instantly affected all aspects of the Iranian economy including its banking sector. The U.S. Treasury Department succeeded in disconnecting Iran’s banking industry from the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT). SWIFT enables banks to communicate with each other and facilitates international transactions. Even if rogue nations, like Turkey, attempted to skirt sanctions and purchase Iranian contraband, it would be nearly impossible for Iran to receive payment given its cutoff from SWIFT.

Iran’s economy is contracting and its currency is in freefall. It is estimated that the ban on oil exports alone is costing the regime some $35 billion a year and that’s before the expiration of the waivers. In April, the U.S. declared the IRGC a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and this past week, the U.S. Treasury Department slapped sanctions on Iran’s industrial metals industry.

While the Europeans are technically still signatories to the JCPOA, European nations are fleeing Iran like rats from a sinking ship, opting to forgo business in the Islamic Republic rather than face the wrath of U.S. sanctions. Contrary to Democrats’ assertions, the economic pressures imposed by the Trump administration are not meant to effectuate regime change. Rather, they are designed to modify malign Iranian behavior and bring them back to the negotiating table for the purpose of modifying and altering certain deleterious provisions of the JCPOA, including absurd sunset clauses that allow Iran to enrich uranium 10 years post the signing of the JCPOA. The administration would also like curb Iranian ballistic missile development, something the Obama administration failed to adequately address.

    • Why Israel Doesn’t Want an American War with Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would welcome the Iranian regime’s sudden implosion, but not at the price of an American war with Iran. Israeli security strategy toward Iran rests on Iran’s constant understanding of Israeli deterrent overmatch. Israel ensures that Iran knows any critical threat it poses to Israel will lead to far greater Israeli threat to Iran…

Israel recognizes that a violent escalatory struggle with Iran carries outsize risks. In a U.S.-Iran war, the Israelis would face a barrage of Iranian ballistic missile strikes – possibly armed with chemical warheads. Iran’s proxies in Lebanon would do the same, meaning a full-scale rocket onslaught from Hizbullah. It would also mean assassination and bombing campaigns against Israeli government officers and civilians around the world.

      ….
Only a FOOL thinks Bibi’s pushing the U.S. into war with Iran. That would put a bullseye on Israel and Jews everywhere.

What did Israel have to do with Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait and the first Gulf War? Yet the country was paralyzed, crouched in shelters holding gasmasks as Saddam Hussein pitched SCUDs at the civilian population.

The entire country is within range of Hezbollah’s 150,000+ rockets. Including Dimona. Iron Dome was over-extended coping with 690 less powerful missiles from Gaza.

Israel’s timing for eventual confrontation with Iran has to be its own. The U.S. will do what it must; Israel will cope somehow.

  35. “Rhodes Scholar” Buttigieg is a Constitutional Illiterate

    Daniel Greenfield

The media has regaled us with the genius of Peter Buttigieg, whom it reminds us, is, like Bill Clinton, a Rhodes Scholar. So he must be a genius?

And then he went on FOX News and demonstrated that he’s all but illiterate.

“States don’t vote, people vote,” Buttigieg said. He added that “if we’re going to call ourselves a democracy,” the U.S. should move to a popular vote system.

We’re not a democracy. None of our documents call us a democracy. We’re a union of states. It’s right there in the name. I realize Buttigieg is a second generation immigrant and the son of a Marxist prof, but that’s no excuse for this level of ignorance.

People vote within the context of a state.

    • When you read the Bible, you will see the name of the city is Khevron and its inhabitants were speaking Ivrit (Hebrew). Perhaps Netherlands should require schoolchildren and politicians to open up the Good Book from time to time.

    • “Trolling”.
      Such a cutesy descriptive.

Same word to describe a provocation on the Temple Mount. Some Dutch-Turk thinks he’s a hero for waving the “Palestinian” flag there. He’d better demonstrate his macho if he waved an Israeli flag in front of the Kaaba in Mecca.

Riots and Intifada could very easily be touched off by that idiot tard’s bravado. That’s REAL incitement. Trivialize it as “trolling” shows a fundamental ignorance of contemporary history.

  37. How Cory Booker’s $5 Million Grifting Ended His Presidential Bid 6 Years Ago
    He got greedy.
    May 20, 2019
    Daniel Greenfield

In 2010, Mayor Cory Booker and Mark Zuckerberg were sitting across from Oprah while the Facebook boss announced a $100 million donation to Newark’s failing public schools. When the two men next met up, in a prominent forum, Senator Booker was questioning Zuckerberg about Facebook’s role in racism. The $100 million had long since vanished. So had the friendship between Zuckerberg and Booker.

And the money is drying up too.

Beto O’Rourke was able to raise $6.1 million within 24 hours of his campaign launch while Booker struggled to make $5 in his first fundraising quarter. Once upon a time, Booker owned Silicon Valley. The connections that he made would once upon a time have given him a huge war chest right from the start.

Booker’s problem was that he got greedy. And he failed.

The former isn’t necessarily a crime in an industry that wears a patina of altruism over the mass defrauding of everyone in sight. But failure carries a price. And 6 years later, Booker is still paying it.

Some of his old pals in the industry are still sticking by him. LinkedIn co-founder and old classmate Reid Hoffman and former Google boss Eric Schmidt are still helping him. But it’s not enough. Booker’s ties with them go back to his Waywire days. And that forgotten chapter in his career may help explain why an industry that once loved Booker is so cool to him. And why Oprah doesn’t call much anymore.

  38. Schiff Says Impeachment Could Be Used As A ‘Tool’ To Expose Trump’s ‘Illegal Acts’

California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff called impeachment “an additional tool” that can be used to expose the “unethical and illegal acts” he attributes to President Donald Trump.

The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee was on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” Sunday to discuss a variety of subjects, including whether impeaching Trump is a practical option for House Democrats, given that the measure is almost certain to be defeated in the Republican-controlled Senate.

“If we conclude that there is no other way to do our jobs, no other way to do the oversight, no other way to show the American people what this president has done — his unethical and illegal acts as outlined in the Mueller report — then we may get [impeachment] … It provides an additional tool.”

Schiff did not specify what illegal acts were revealed in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report. Mueller’s findings showed no evidence to prove the Russian collusion conspiracy theory that insisted the Trump campaign was working with the Russians before the 2016 election. (RELATED: Democrats Reportedly Continue To Defend Schiff’s Unknown Collusion ‘Evidence’)

The congressman explained the Democratic strategy in the House as “gradually escalating” the pressure on the president by first asking for “voluntary cooperation” and then subpoenas, which Schiff says ineffective. “We followed with contempt; we may even follow with inherent contempt and we have to follow with impeachment.”

  39. BOOM! Eric Holder Body Slammed by Former Deputy Ind. Counsel Sol Wisenberg Over Attack on AG Barr

Sol Wisenberg, the former Deputy Independent Counsel under Ken Starr, fired off a late-Sunday night tweet that destroyed Obama Attorney General Eric Holder for attacking Attorney General William Barr as “not fit to lead the DOJ”.

Wisenberg called out Holder’s corrupt behavior in office from his service in the Obama presidency, including the Fast and Furious gun running to Mexican cartels scandal, to his tenure as Deputy Attorney General in the Clinton administration and his shepherding of the pardon for fugitive Marc Rich whose ex-wife Denise was a major Clinton donor (“Denise Rich had given more than $1 million[28] to Clinton’s political party (the Democratic Party), including more than $100,000 to the Senate campaign of the president’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and $450,000 to the Clinton Library foundation during Clinton’s time in office.[24] Wikipedia on the Marc Rich pardon)

Wisenberg nuked Holder, concluding by throwing his insult of Barr back in Holder’s face.

“You: swore falsely under oath in Fast & Furious and dared not name a Special Counsel; failed to name a Special Counsel in the IRS targeting scandal; failed to prosecute key players in the mortgage meltdown; aided and abetted the Marc Rich pardon. You sir, were unfit to lead DOJ.”

Holder’s attack on Barr that brought the response from Wisenberg:

    • Wisenberg nuked Holder…

      Promises, promises…

Although everyone thought that Eric was 0bama’s Mini-Me, truth be told—yes, yes, I know … an alien practice to them both—Eric was Hillary’s woodpile lovechild by Soros and merely one of myriad butt muffins they exultantly voided upon America’s noble Constitution.*

      * And in equally offensive turn, a foolishly trusting electorate

What Wisenberg didn’t accomplish this wisenheimer will just have to do, and a smoking pair of shoes where Holder once stood is just the start:

  40. President Trump Takes Aim at the Military Industrial Complex: ‘They Never Want to Leave, They Always Want to Fight’

President Donald Trump took aim at the military industrial complex in an interview with Fox News, saying that while he wants to bring troops home, “they never want to leave, they always want to fight.”

The president was discussing Iran and how he prefers to solve tensions economically, but is up against people that would send “thousands of soldiers” into Syria if it was up to them.
