“The latest polls suggest that the right-wing Stram Kurs party, which has gained publicity through Quran burnings and calls to deport Muslims, may well enter the Danish parliament.
The right-wing Stram Kurs (“Hard Line”) party, which has run a rapid campaign to obtain the necessary number of signatures, is ready to make their debut in national elections, Danish Radio reported.
A recent Voxmeter survey indicates a 2.4 percent support for Stram Kurs, which means that the anti-immigration party, founded in 2017 by Rasmus Paludan, may well enter parliament in its very first run, Danish Radio reported. The threshold to enter the Danish parliament is 2 percent.
“This is of course pleasing. I don’t take anything for granted, but we may have even greater support. There are many right-wingers who do not want to say they’re voting Stram Kurs,” Paludan said.
In a recent reader poll by Extra Bladet daily newspaper, Stram Kurs gathered as much as 24 percent, but this sensational result was later attributed to a troll invasion from the 4chan forum, Danish Radio reported.
Should the right-wing Stram Kurs party manage to get any seats, as the current polls indicate, it remains an open question whether other parties are prepared to work with the newcomers, whose narrative is in stark contrast with mainstream Danish politicians. Among other things, Stram Kurs advocates banning Islam in Denmark, expelling refugees and cancelling Danish citizenship for non-Western immigrants.

Until as late as last month, ethno-nationalist Stram Kurs’ chances of gathering the necessary voter declarations looked slim, but the party receive extensive national and international coverage when one of Paludan’s “free speech” demonstrations, in which he attempted to burn the Quran, sparked off a riot in Copenhagen’s immigrant-heavy district of Nørrebro on 14 April.
In a recent political debate, Paludan warned of Danes becoming a minority in their own country, should the current trends persist.
Meanwhile, the Danish right wing may end up seriously bolstered after the general election, which must take place by 17 June at the latest. “Attacks against Christian places of worship continue to occur in France with a church in the commune of Manduel having been vandalised twice in just ten days and another in Toulouse being vandalised with the words “Allah u Ackbar” written on its door.
The attacks in Manduel occurred at the church of Saint-Genest, with the latest incident occurring earlier this week, according to a report from French newspaper Midi Libre. The newspaper reports that the paschal candles and those dedicated to the Virgin Mary were both set on fire and the power supply to the church’s main organ was also damaged.
Police who arrived on the scene on the day after the vandalism say they also found the remains of food and drink, likely that were consumed by the attackers, and confirmed they have launched a full investigation into the desecration.
Another church attack occurred in the city of Toulouse at the Notre-Dame du Taur, a church famous for the claim of having been built on a site linked to the patron saint of the city, Saint Saturnin.
According to the group Protège ton église (Protect Your Church), who posted news of the attack on their Facebook page, they noticed one of the doors of the church had been vandalised with the words “Allah u Ackbar.”

“A 27-year-old illegal migrant who was living on the street has been charged in a court in Toulouse after he went on a rampage at a local brasserie, causing thousands of euros worth of damage.
The attack took place on April 30th and saw the illegal migrant enter the famous “Le Cotton Club” establishment in the late afternoon and, according to a report from French newspaper La Depeche, he began to immediately start to throw chairs and other furniture around the restaurant.
A magistrate in the Toulouse Criminal Court described the scene while addressing the migrant saying, “Tables, chairs, thirty glasses, the main window … nothing has resisted you! It took four of the employees to control you!” One employee of the restaurant was also forced to take six days off work due to injuries suffered as a result of the migrant attacking them as well.
In total, the 27-year-old is said to have caused 4,345 euros worth of damage during the rampage with the prosecutor in the case calling for him to be imprisoned for six to eight months, saying: “This behaviour is alarming. He insults, he threatens, for no apparent reason. There is obviously a problem of alcohol dependence.”
In contrast, the lawyer for the migrant argued that his client was not of a sound mental state saying, “he says he hears voices! Why would someone who is undocumented put himself in such a situation?”
Following a brief deliberation, the court sentenced the man to eight months in prison and ordered him to pay back all the damages caused to the restaurant.
The incident comes as just the latest random migrant rampage in countries most affected by mass migration. Just this year, there have been several rampages, including in the German town of Amberg where a group of asylum seekers from Syria, Iran and Afghanistan attacked twelve people randomly, including one victim who required hospitalization.
Earlier this month another migrant, originally from Syria, attacked and injured four German police officers after they attempted to perform a routine identification check and in Dozza prison in Bologna, Italy a migrant rampage led to two prison guards receiving severe cranial trauma.”

I’m amazed how, with all those chairs flying around, one didn’t manage to crush his fucking skull. If that first thrown chair had “accidentally” bounced off of a wall and then into his fucking head, a lot less damage might have happened.

WASHINGTON — In a highly unusual move, national security adviser John Bolton convened a meeting at CIA headquarters last week with the Trump administration’s top intelligence, diplomatic and military advisers to discuss Iran, according to six current U.S. officials.
The meeting was held at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 29, and included CIA Director Gina Haspel, Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joe Dunford, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, five of the officials said.
National security meetings are typically held in the White House Situation Room. The six current officials, as well as multiple former officials, said it is extremely rare for senior White House officials or Cabinet members to attend a meeting at CIA headquarters.
The officials said the discussion was not about the intelligence that led to the decision in the following days to send a carrier strike group and bomber task force to the Middle East, but did not describe what the meeting covered.

President Trump recently took to Twitter to bash former FBI Director James Comey. In a tweet Thursday night, the president said James Comey is “a disgrace to the FBI” and will be forever be known as “the worst director” in its history.
He added, “he brought the FBI down,” but said the FBI will “regain greatness” because of the great people who work there.
The tweet comes after Comey held a Town Hall on CNN, where he claimed there was enough evidence to prosecute the president and suggested the Department of Justice take a serious look at filing charges when the president is no longer in office.
Comey believes the Mueller report shows substantial foundation for obstruction of justice charges, which Mueller intended for either Congress or the Justice Department to move forward on.

Senate Republicans should ask Donald Trump, Jr. at least one question

Republicans on Capitol Hill have reacted understandably to the seemingly pointless subpoena of Donald Trump, Jr. by the GOP-controlled Senate Intelligence Committee. Typical responses have ranged from “Somebody didn’t get the memo? There was no collusion” to “Get over it. Time to move on.”
While these reactions make perfect sense, another round of testimony from Trump, Jr. would afford a valuable opportunity to ask probing questions. I suspect we already know the answer to the top question I would suggest. But the value lies in asking it, and getting that answer, in light of everything we now know about what led to the meeting in Trump Tower on 9 June 2016.
As a refresher, the bare facts of the meeting are that it was set up by an acquaintance of Donald Trump, Jr., the British publicist Rob Goldstone (about whose role we have never learned very much).

“As he gears up to stand for the first time as an anti-establishment MEP candidate in the upcoming May 23 European Parliamentary elections, Tommy Robinson has once again managed to evoke the scorn of his critics.
Tommy Robinson’s offer to donate his European Parliament salary to child victims of sex grooming gangs has been slammed as “an insult to survivors of abuse” by woman’s rights groups who added that he is “no ally for the children he claims to stand up for.”
A whole host of charities, including the End Violence Against Woman and Girls Coalition, penned an open letter which unanimously rejected the offer by the former English Defence League leader, who is standing as an MEP candidate in the North West of England.
The open letter, which has garnered the signatures of well over 40 woman from influential organisations says, “those who have suffered sexual and physical abuse were failed by those who should have protected them. But Tommy Robinson is no ally for the children he claims to stand up for.”
“Tommy doesn’t care about the rights of women and girls — he is exploiting the pain of survivors and their families to fuel racist hate for his own gain. He is a misogynist and has recklessly put victims at risk for his own moment of media spotlight,” they add.
Mr Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, made the pledge to donate his hypothetical salary two weeks ago in a video posted on his Youtube channel.
There are those however, who don’t agree with the open letter’s arguments.
The signatories zeroed in on Mr Robinson’s alleged framing of Muslims as being the key perpetrators behind grooming gangs, saying that, “Tommy Robinson’s factually incorrect messages about ‘grooming’, and his attempt to portray himself as a champion of the cause, are an insult to survivors of abuse.”
Yet, Mr Robinson has bitten back at the claims, reportedly saying of those woman who penned the letter that, “they need to think of the victims, not of their own politicisation of the situation, that money is to go to any victims of sexual exploitation, including Muslims.”
“They are in no position to turn down the money, they shouldn’t be. They should be in the position to help victims and if that money helps victims, which it does, gets them off the waiting list for counselling, then they are playing with the victims, not me,” Robinson added.
The news comes on the heels of two separate incidents this month in which Mr Robinson had milkshake thrown over him by critics while he was out campaigning in preparation for the 23 May European Parliamentary elections. Police are said to be investigating the incidents.”

Pelosi Suggests ARRESTING ‘All of the People’ in Trump Administration
Unfortunately, Pelosi said, the jail beneath the Capitol would be overcrowded.
In an interview with Robert Costa of The Washington Post, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) brought up the authoritarian idea of arresting all of the members of President Donald J. Trump’s administration.
“Well, let me just say that we, do have a jail down in the basement of the Capitol,” she said. “But if we were arresting all of the people in the administration we would have overcrowded jail situation, and I’m not for that.”
She was responding to a question by Costa about whether Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin could be held in contempt or arrested for refusing to hand over Trump’s tax returns to House Democrats, which Mnuchin claimed would violate the law since it does not serve a “legitimate legislative purpose.”

They say the teacher held the boy back from recess several times to watch videos and read books about being transgender. The parents say the teacher got those materials from one of her transgender friends. The parents say they had no idea these conversations were taking place in April of 2018.
The mother says she found out when her son brought home one of the books from school.
The parents say the teacher still works at the school. In May of 2018, the school sent out a letter. In part, it states that evidence was found that the teacher did pull the student from regular school activities, shared potentially controversial materials with the student and discussed gender identity without parents’ notification.

I don’t think the Iranian regime is going to open hostilities against us. They don’t want to start a fight they would surely lose, and their current strategy is to stall, hoping Trump loses the next presidential election and is replaced by a friendlier Democrat.
