the gateway pundit – MUELLER GETS CAUGHT! Devin Nunes Just Caught Dirty Cop Mueller Lying to American Public about Joseph Misfud
Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) requested information on Friday from the State Department, CIA, FBI and NSA on operative Joseph Mifsud.
THIS IS DEVASTATING NEWS FOR ROBERT MUELLER AND THE DEMOCRATS ON THE SPECIAL COUNSEL — who lied in their report on their operative Joseph Mifsud who was NOT a Russian operative as the Mueller report claimed he was.

Associated Press -Pelosi on Trump impeachment and Barr’s ‘lie’
“What They Aren’t Telling You About What Nadler Will Do With Barr Investigation”

Pelosi Warns Democrats Need to Be ‘Mainstream’ in 2020: Trump Might Not Respect Election Results
Speaker Nancy Pelosi is apparently concerned that “short of an overwhelming defeat,” President Donald Trump may not respect the results of the 2020 election.
In an interview with The New York Times out today, Pelosi said she held similar concerns about the midterms last year:
“If we win by four seats, by a thousand votes each, he’s not going to respect the election,” said Ms. Pelosi, recalling her thinking in the run-up to the 2018 elections.
“He would poison the public mind. He would challenge each of the races; he would say you can’t seat these people,” she added. “We had to win. Imagine if we hadn’t won — oh, don’t even imagine. So, as we go forward, we have to have the same approach.”
The Times reports Pelosi has told people around her that she doesn’t “automatically trust the president to respect the results of any election short of an overwhelming defeat.”
And that leads into Pelosi’s concerns that Democrats shouldn’t be playing into Trump’s hands (i.e. pursuing impeachment already).
“Own the center left, own the mainstream,” she said:
Ms. Pelosi — the de facto head of the Democratic Party until a presidential nominee is selected in 2020 — offered Democrats her “coldblooded” plan for decisively ridding themselves of Mr. Trump: Do not get dragged into a protracted impeachment bid that will ultimately get crushed in the Republican-controlled Senate, and do not risk alienating the moderate voters who flocked to the party in 2018 by drifting too far to the left.

Is there some way to get rid of Pelosi? Given the Democratic behavior since Trump was elected, she has a nerve to worry about him not accepting election results. Increasingly I see the Democrats as criminals.
She’s the daughter of the biggest mafia don of the Baltimore of her day.
The Big Lie That Barr Lied
ANDREW C. MCCARTHY
The attorney general’s testimony was clearly accurate.
I originally thought this was too stupid to write about. But stupid is like the plague inside the Beltway — one person catches it and next thing you know there’s an outbreak at MSNBC and the speaker of the House is showing symptoms while her delirious minions tote ceramic chickens around Capitol Hill.
So I give you: the Bill Barr perjury allegation.
We are all entitled to our own opinions. But are we entitled to our own facts? Daniel Patrick Moynihan’s bon mot says no, but Washington makes you wonder. Like when spleen-venting about the supposedly outrageous, unbelievable, disgraceful invocation of the word “spy” to describe episodes of government spying is instantly followed by a New York Times story about how the spying — er, I mean, court-authorized electronic surveillance — coupled with the tasking of spies — er, undercover agents — green-lighted by a foreign spy — er, intelligence service — was more widespread than previously known.
If I were a cynic, I’d think people were trying to get out in front of some embarrassing revelations on the horizon. I might even be tempted to speculate that progressives were trotting out their “Destroy Ken Starr” template for Barr deployment (which, I suppose, means that 20 years from now we’ll be reading about what a straight-arrow Barr was compared to whomever Democrats are savaging at that point).
The claim that Barr gave false testimony is frivolous. That is why, at least initially, Democrats and their media echo chamber soft-pedaled it — with such dishonorable exceptions as Mazie Horono, the Hawaii Democrat who, somehow, is a United States senator. It’s tough to make the perjury argument without any false or even inaccurate statements — though my Fox News colleague Andrew Napolitano did give it the old college try. As recounted by The Hill, he twisted himself into a pretzel, observing — try to follow this — that the attorney general “probably misled” Congress and thus “he’s got a problem” . . . although this purported dissembling didn’t really seem to be, you know, an actual “lie” so . . . maybe it’s not a problem after all. Or something.
I assume that in his black-robe days, Judge Nap would have known better. When meritless perjury cases are thrown out of court, judges are often at pains to explain that the questioner who elicited the purportedly false testimony bears the burden of clarity; the terms of the question dictate the evaluation of the answer. In this instance, Barr’s April 9 testimony before the House Appropriations Committee was true and accurate; if a misimpression set in after, it is because the relevant questioning by Representative Charlie Crist (D., Fla.) has been ignored or distorted.
Moreover, because perjury is a serious felony allegation, judges and legal analysts never rely on a general, selectively couched description of the testimony — much less on the likes of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s because-I-said-so refrain that Barr “lied to Congress” and “that’s a crime.” The testimony must be examined, with emphasis on the words that were used (the questions as well as the responses), and anything we can glean about the witness’s demeanor (stingy? dodgy? forthcoming?).
The mindless, no-need-to-check-the-record allegation against Barr goes like this: The AG testified on April 9 that he had no idea why Special Counsel Mueller was upset over the way Barr’s March 24 letter described Mueller’s report; but, in fact, Barr knew exactly why Mueller was upset because he had received the latter’s March 27 letter complaining about Barr’s missive.
Now, here is the exchange on which the perjury allegation is based, with my italics highlighting key portions:
CRIST: Reports have emerged recently, General, that members of the special counsel’s team are frustrated at some level with the limited information included in your March 24th letter . . . that it does not adequately or accurately necessarily portray the report’s findings. Do you know what they’re referencing with that?
BARR: No, I don’t. I think — I think . . . I suspect that they probably wanted more put out, but, in my view, I was not interested in putting out summaries or trying to summarize because I think any summary, regardless of who prepares it, not only runs the risk of, you know, being under-inclusive or over-inclusive, but also, you know, would trigger a lot of discussion and analysis that really should await everything coming out at once. So I was not interested in a summary of the report. . . . I felt that I should state the bottom line conclusions and I tried to use Special Counsel Mueller’s own language in doing that.
When we look at the actual words of this exchange, Barr’s testimony is clearly accurate. And I don’t mean accurate in the hyper-technical, Clintonesque “depends on what the definition of is is” sense. I mean straightforward, unguarded, and evincing a willingness to volunteer information beyond what the question sought.
Crist did not ask a general question about Mueller’s reaction to Barr’s letter; he asked a specific question about the reaction of Mueller’s “team” to the Barr letter’s description of “the report’s findings.” Regarding the March 24 letter’s rendering of this bottom line — namely, Russia meddled, Trump did not collude, and Mueller failed to resolve the obstruction question — Barr said he did not know what Mueller’s staff was complaining about.
Barr has known Mueller for nearly 30 years; when Mueller was the Criminal Division chief in the Bush 41 Justice Department, he reported to Barr, who was attorney general. It should come as no surprise, then, that Barr was not getting his information from Mueller’s staff; he was getting it from Mueller directly. Nor should it come as any surprise that, before releasing his March 24 letter to the public, Barr gave Mueller an opportunity to review it; nor that Mueller declined that opportunity — given that he knows Barr well, and knew Barr would not misrepresent the report (especially given that the report would soon be public).
Three days after Barr announced the report’s conclusions, Mueller sent his letter, undoubtedly written by his staff. Mueller could simply have called Barr on the phone, as he has done a million times; but the staff’s partisan Democrats wanted a letter, which makes for much better leak material. (The letter was, in fact, strategically leaked to the Washington Post Tuesday night, right before Barr’s Wednesday morning Senate testimony.) The day after receiving Mueller’s March 27 letter, Barr called Mueller and pointedly asked whether he was claiming that Barr’s March 24 letter articulating Mueller’s findings was inaccurate. Mueller responded that he was making no such claim — he was, instead, irritated by the press coverage of Barr’s letter. Mueller suggested the publication of additional information from the report, including the report’s own executive summaries, to explain more about why he decided not to resolve the obstruction issue. But he did not claim Barr had misrepresented his findings. (See Barr’s Senate testimony, starting at 39-minute mark. https://www.c-span.org/video/?459922-1/william-barr-testifies-mueller-report-senate-judiciary-committee&playEvent&start=1586 )
Again, Barr’s contact was with Mueller, not Mueller’s team. His exchanges with Mueller gave Barr no basis to know about any objection to his description of the report’s findings — from Mueller or anyone else. The fact that Mueller’s staff was leaking like a sieve to the Times, the Washington Post, and NBC News does not mean they were sharing with the attorney general what the Times described as “their simmering frustrations.”
That is what Barr said in answer to Crist’s question about the report’s findings. But to avoid the misimpression that he was parsing words deceptively, Barr volunteered his perception that Mueller’s staff wanted more information from the report to be publicized. That was consistent with what can be inferred from Barr’s phone call with Mueller on March 28. And it was not news: Crist’s questions were based on the aforementioned press accounts of leaks from Mueller’s staffers. They were irked at the bad press they were receiving over Mueller’s abdication on the question whether there was a prosecutable obstruction case, and they had groused that there was much more to their report than Barr’s letter conveyed. Of course, Barr never disputed this; as he repeatedly explained, he undertook to render the conclusions, not summarize the entire 448-page report.
Barr decided that his way of making disclosure — the findings followed three weeks later by the full report — was superior to the proposal of Mueller’s staff that their own summaries be released. You can disagree with Barr on that, but that’s not grounds for a perjury claim. And it raises a point Barr made in his Senate testimony: The regulations do not require any disclosure of the special counsel’s report (which is supposed to be a confidential Justice Department document, as is typical of Justice Department deliberations over whether to charge or decline to charge). The decision of what, if anything, to disclose, and how that should be done, is exclusively the attorney general’s, not the special counsel’s. Mueller’s job was to make a prosecutorial judgment — to charge or decline to charge obstruction. Mueller failed to do that. Since Mueller didn’t do his own job, isn’t it a bit presumptuous of his staff (through press leaks) to tell Barr how to do his?
Could what happened here be more obvious? Mueller received fawning press for two years on the expectation that he would slay Trump. Then, on March 24, Democrats and the media learned not only that there was no collusion case (which was no surprise) but that Mueller had been derelict, failing to render a judgment on the only question he was arguably needed to resolve: Was there enough evidence to charge obstruction? Journalists proceeded to turn on their erstwhile hero. This sent him reeling, and it brought to full boil the anger of Mueller staffers, who wanted to charge Trump with obstruction based on the creative (i.e., wayward) theory they had been pursuing — namely, that a president can be indicted for obstruction based on the exercise of his constitutional prerogatives if prosecutors (including prosecutors who are active supporters of the president’s political opposition) decide he had corrupt intent. The staffers put their pique in a letter that could be leaked, and Mueller was sufficiently irked by the bad press that he signed it. And now Democrats are using the letter as the launch-pad for The Big Lie that Barr lied, calculating that if they say it enough times, and their media collaborators uncritically broadcast these declarations, no one will notice that they never actually refer to the transcript of what they claim is the false testimony.
Democrats are unnerved. Attorney General Barr is pursuing an inquiry into the Obama administration’s decision to conduct a foreign counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign. The time is now, they figure, to reprise the Ken Starr treatment: the ad hominem withering of an accomplished, highly capable official — in this instance, one who is daring to press questions that would have been answered two years ago if an incumbent Republican administration had spied on — er, monitored — a Democratic presidential campaign.

Put this into the Clueless Government file. The company walks away from their wells yet the provincial gov. says they’re still responsible? They’re broke, stupid, and just maybe it has something to do with Alberta’s oil being trapped and devalued by government malfeasance.
Germans like their gold as much as anyone. Good luck digitizing their currency.

I still say that it is gonig to occur to a lot of politicians that if they digitize the currencies of the world there will be too many tracks when someone bribes them. Their corruption will save us from the digitized currency.
Yes I know some businesses are trying to go all digital and no cash, out here in fly over country the small businesses are often offering discounts if you use cash and not plastic.
“Their corruption will save us from the digitized currency.”
Talk about a cure that kills! Sort of like how supposed Anthropocentric Climate Change (i.e., the Great Warmening™) may actually be keeping us from making an earlier entry to the predicted mini ice-age that’s coming.
Oh joy.

Ghetto Britain: After Nigel Farage claimed the streets of Oldham were ‘split down the middle’, troubling dispatch reveals how his dog whistle politics are being fuelled by a far more complex division (dailymail, May 4, 2019)
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6990645/Ghetto-Britain-complex-division-Nigel-Farages-dog-whistle-politics.html
“Glodwick Road — in the heart of Oldham — is where, not so long ago, a pub with the unusual name of Live And Let Live could be found.
The message of hope and tolerance was printed in big, bold letters at the entrance. You couldn’t miss it.
The building, at No 141, is still there. But it has been converted into a children’s nursery serving the now predominantly Asian neighbourhood. On display, in the front window, is a photograph of the local mosque, next to the rather sweet caption: ‘My mummy comes here.’ Some of the area’s best-known shops — such as Bhatti Fabrics and Hussain & Sons Cash & Carry — are also pictured.
The transformation of the premises, from Boddingtons-run tavern, to Muslim bridalwear store, to nursery — with places for 200 youngsters, around 80 per cent from Muslim families — reflects the seismic cultural and demographic changes which have taken place, not just in Oldham, a former mill town on the outskirts of Manchester, but in other towns.
Behind the demise of the popular pub, though, is another story; one that sits uncomfortably with the vision of multicultural Britain sold to us by New Labour and perpetuated by a chorus of liberal voices. That vision, encapsulated in the establishments’s name — Live And Let Live — died on the night of Saturday, May 26, 2001, when the pub was firebombed and drinkers attacked.
A petty argument, about football, between Asian and white teenagers earlier in the evening, had escalated into a full-scale riot with barricades of furniture and burning tyres erected in the streets.
Mobs from both sides of the racial divide fought running battles with each other and the police culminating, just after 11pm, in the storming of the pub. The violence continued throughout the week and spread to other Northern towns.
The Home Office-commissioned report into the trouble found that there were long-term causes which obviously went much, much deeper than a spat between schoolboys.
‘Many communities,’ the inquiry concluded, were ‘living parallel lives’ and often ‘these lives did not seem to touch at any point, let alone overlap or promote meaningful interchanges’, which, in turn, had fuelled ‘fear and suspicion that is easily exploited by extremists’.
The findings were an embarrassment for Tony Blair, during whose time in office net annual immigration quadrupled reaching an average of 247,000 a year.
The Live And Let Live pub — unfortunate marketing in the post-riot era — closed shortly afterwards and the deep-seated racial tensions that resulted in three nights of mayhem gradually faded from the headlines.
Until this week.
Few could have predicted that when Nigel Farage, taking a break from campaigning with his new Brexit Party, rose to give a speech on the other side of the Atlantic at Lock Haven University in rural Pennsylvania, the spotlight would once again return to Oldham.
‘Let me take you to a town called Oldham in the North of England,’ he began in his own inimitable way, ‘where literally on one side of the street everybody is white and on the other side of the street everybody is black. The twain never actually meet, there is no assimilation. These, folks, are divided societies in which resentments build and grow.’
Farage knows Oldham because, as Ukip leader, he fought a by-election here but failed to unseat Labour.
Not surprisingly, his comments were met with condemnation in some quarters. Oldham MP Jim McMahon accused him of trying to ‘stoke up tensions and create division’ with his ‘us and them’ rhetoric.
Had Farage been speaking in Britain, instead of playing to an American audience in an area full of Trump supporters, he might well have chosen his words more carefully. He thrives on controversy, but he is no fool. The fact of the matter is there are relatively few ‘black’ faces in Oldham. Only 2,797 — 1.2 per cent of the 219,000 population — were classed as ‘black ’in the 2011 census.
Oldham has grown (by around 10,000) since then, but the number of black people is still statistically insignificant compared to the more than 40,000-strong Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities.
But take away the simplistic language and the inflammatory tone, and the truth is that, nearly 20 years after the Live And Let Live pub was targeted, many in Oldham are still ‘living parallel lives’.
Initiatives to break down barriers were introduced in the aftermath of the riots.
Glodwick’s all-Asian Greenhill Primary School was ‘twinned’ with the virtually all-white Rushcroft, two of nearly 60 primaries involved in such arrangements, where youngsters attended joint sessions on racism.
Millions were spent on regeneration projects. Yet, an ethnicity report by Oldham Council, based on census data and updated as recently as January, found that ‘geographical segregation, particularly between white and Pakistani and white and Bangladeshi, is exceptionally high and showing little sign of improvement’.
Because parents generally choose to send their children to the nearest school, ‘geographical segregation’ has resulted, inevitably, in ‘educational segregation’ with classes remaining overwhelmingly monoculture; in other words, either almost exclusively white or exclusively non-white, depending on your post code.
Now, as then, Oldham, remains racially divided. Anyone who has spent time in Savile Town in Dewsbury, Yorkshire, or Bradford or Luton or the Leeds suburb of Beeston will surely be quietly nodding their heads in agreement.
Such divisions are born, for the most part, not from hatred or prejudice but the desire for individuals of similar cultural background to live and socialise with one another. Nevertheless, the Oldham riots — and too many other examples to mention — are a reminder, if we really need reminding in these uncertain times, of the dangers of communities becoming isolated.
Nowhere is this development — what Trevor Phillips, the former chairman of the Commission For Racial Equality, once called ‘sleepwalking to segregation’ — more evident than in St Mary’s ward, a tangle of mainly Victorian terraces, a mile or so south-west of Oldham town centre, where the majority of residents (around 66 per cent) are Pakistanis and Bangladeshis.
The highest concentration of Muslims is in Glodwick. One of the residents who answered the door to me was a woman, in traditional Islamic dress, who could not speak English; her son, 22-year-old Aqil, told me she had arrived in the country from Pakistan when she was in her 20s. She was now 60.
This is far from unusual in Glodwick, ranked among the most deprived areas in the country with more than one in five adults claiming out-of-work benefits last year. But less than a mile down the road is neighbouring — and sought after — Saddleworth West and Lees (97 per cent white).
On one side of the invisible dividing line — the Glodwick side — are shabby properties and takeaways. On the other — the Saddleworth side — there are cottages with shiny door knockers and hanging baskets; the area has tea rooms, and a golf club. In Glodwick, a terrace house costs around £75,000; in Saddleworth, twice as much.
This is perhaps as stark an example of the ‘parallel lives’ phenomenon as you will find.
‘I grew up in Glodwick,’ said a middle-aged woman who now lives inside the Saddleworth ‘border’. ‘We were one of the few white families there and we never got any hassle. I would not even go there now. I just wouldn’t feel safe.’
Her anxiety is mirrored by some Asians in Glodwick who said they would not venture onto a ‘white estate’ nearby. ‘No, I would not go there alone,’ a young Asian told me. If you go on your own, it can be a problem.’
Such fears, even if they are unfounded, are corrosive. There were 68 religious hate crimes in Oldham in 2018, up 55 per cent on the previous year and 25 Islamaphobic crimes, a slight drop from the previous year, but still the joint second worst place in the Greater Manchester Police area for this category of offence…”
“… In one incident, two women left slices of bacon on the door of a mosque (eating pork is forbidden in Islam) and, in another, a pig’s head was thrown through the window of a family home.
These are extreme examples, of course. But it is not hard to understand how resentment festers in such divided communities. On Roundthorn Road, Glodwick, the street where, back in 2001, the spat between white and Asian youths triggered the riots, I met a young mother who revealed that each morning she has to walk her children, aged eight and three, to school — one mile, one way with one youngster, and one mile in the opposite direction with the other.
She is among a small number of non-Muslims who live in the street — directly opposite, in fact, the local school. Almost all the 262 pupils at Roundthorn Primary Academy, according to Ofsted, ‘are from minority ethnic backgrounds and most speak English as an additional language’.
The mum was unable to get her own children into the school a few yards away from her doorstep because, she says, it was fully subscribed. How does she feel about that? ‘I’m not very happy about it,’ she replied. Her husband needs the car for work ‘so there is nothing else I can do but walk’.
In 2017, research by the Institute Of Community Cohesion found that, in Oldham, 62 per cent of primaries and 71 per cent of secondary schools were racially segregated.
One of the founders of the Institute is Professor Ted Cantle, who carried out the government-backed inquiry into the Oldham riots. ‘Schools are our best chance for integration,’ he said. ‘But instead, schools appear to be compounding the problem and slowly dismantling the bridges.’
At the end of Roundthorn Road, a short stroll from where the young mum who spoke to me, is the Dog And Partridge pub, which looks like it has seen better days but is a clue to Glodwick’s past as a white working-class neighbourhood. The process began in the Sixties when immigrants, first from Pakistan, then Bangladesh, came to work in the cotton industry.
Recruitment was specifically targeted towards men who would work night shifts with wages that were unacceptable to locals. Many existing families subsequently sold up, a trend popularly known as ‘white flight’.
Even today, some Asians still feel resentful that their arrival caused this reaction. ‘We didn’t tell them to f*** off, did we,’ an Asian man, in his 30s, who lives in Roundthorn Road, said to me.
The transformation of Glodwick was replicated in neighbouring Werneth (76.6 per cent non-white) and Coldhurst (72.9 per cent non-white).
Because many Pakistanis and Bangladeshi own their own properties, they are discouraged from leaving which means that the diversity usually brought about by the rental market is reduced.
Segregation is not only about housing, though. From the Nineties onwards, many Asians who found work in Oldham became minicab drivers or entered the restaurant business.
The ethnicity report for Oldham Council found that white people were more than twice as likely to hold managerial or professional posts than those of Pakistani origin, and four times more than Bangladeshis.
Back on Roundthorn Road, a group of young Asian men are congregating. Among them is Mohammed Usman, 25, who is married with two children and works in security. I ask him what his friends do. Pointing at each in turn, he replies: ‘Security guard, security guard, security guard, factory worker, security guard.’
Only one has a job which required training or qualifications; he is a paramedic. Unlike much of Glodwick, Roundthorn Road was a white neighbourhood until 1990. ‘When my family arrived [in 1990] there were only about five Asian families in the street,’ Mohammed explained.
Among the few remaining indigenous residents are James and Ellen Turnbull, who have been here for 45 years.
James was a plumber and Ellen ran a corner shop. The couple, in their 80s, live in an immaculate dormer bungalow. Ellen said they have been unable to get to know some of the Asian families because of the language barrier.
Sadly, James and Ellen Turnbull remain the exception in places like Glodwick.
In the aftermath of the Oldham Riots, a second report, by civil servant David Ritchie, was published. One of the key sections read: ‘The divisions are now such that we have to ask whether people in the different communities actually want to have much to do with one another.
‘For many white people the attitude seems to be that we would rather the Asians were not here, we will have as little to do with them as possible, and so we pretend that the Asians are not here.
‘For many Asians, the attitude seems to be that this is a difficult and alien environment in which we find ourselves, we must protect ourselves from it and its corrupting influences, and we can best do that by creating largely separated communities in Oldham modelled on what we have left behind in Pakistan and Bangladesh.’
The consequences of this assessment have become all too apparent.”
Sweden: Rise in Rare, Potentially Fatal, Parasite Linked to 2015 Migrant Crisis (breitbart, May 4, 2019)
https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/05/04/sweden-increasing-cases-potentially-fatal-parasite-linked-mass-migration/
“Sweden is seeing an increase in the number of cases of Leishmaniasis, a rare parasite that can be fatal in certain serious cases, with researchers claiming a link between the rise of the disease and mass migration.
A study by the University of Lund examined the rise in cases with Sara Karlsson Söbirk, a doctor who specialises in infectious diseases, saying, “It’s still a very rare disease here, but the number of cases has more than doubled in the last ten years,” in a press release from the university on the study.
According to Söbirk, the number of cases of the parasite peaked in 2016, with 35 cases, with the physician noting it was “probably a direct consequence of the large refugee wave the year before, when most people who were sick were from Syria and Afghanistan.”
“It is likely that we will receive more cases in Sweden in the future and then it would be good if the health care system knows which patient groups they should be especially aware of,” she added.
The parasite, which can live for years within an individual without showing any signs of illness, is largely found in areas outside of Northern Europe with there being around 400,000 cases recorded worldwide every year, according to Söbirk, who said that so far researchers had “found only five cases in Sweden of the most serious form of the disease during the 23 years we looked at.”
“The most common form of the disease in Sweden (93 per cent) is the skin form, cutaneous leishmaniasis, which often heals but can cause disfiguring scars on the face and on the arms and legs,” she said and advocated more research towards developing a vaccine for the disease.
Leishmaniasis is not the only rare disease to have been brought to Europe as a result of the migrant crisis which began in 2015. Several diseases thought almost wiped out in Europe along with rare ones from the Middle East have been shown within migrant populations with doctors in Germany warning about the problem in 2016.
Another parasite, scabies, has also been prominent among migrants in Paris living on the streets or squatting in buildings. The parasite even forced migrants occupying a university building Paris to leave after university staff began to become infected with the parasite as well.”
Austria: Teacher brutally thrown at blackboard by migrant students (VIDEO)+++
The Viennese vocational school in Ottakring district has seen drastic events. There several pupils threatened and teased their teacher. A migrant pupil threw the man against a blackboard. Before that, the teacher is said to have spat. Strange: Now the teacher has to leave. The man was surrounded by mainly migrant youths and filmed with a mobile phone. Several of the mainly migrant pupils implied blows. The screams were loud. The main perpetrator yelled at the teacher and blocked his escape. The teacher asked the perpetrator several times to leave the class. When the pupil started an offensive attack against his teacher again, the teacher allegedly spat.On videos (above) you can see that the teacher was obviously harassed by the students for a long time. According to school principal Johannes Bachmair, the teacher (!) is now suspended. Nothing is yet known about the consequences for the violent student or the other perpetrators involved. Left mainstream media reported about a misbehaviour of the teacher and omitted the fact that he was violently attacked at the beginning completely.

Libyan officials: Militant attack kills 9 troops at LNA base (abcnews, May 4, 2019)
https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/libyan-officials-militant-attack-kills-troops-lna-base-62820421
“Libyan officials say militants have killed at least nine soldiers in an attack on a training camp for the self-styled Libyan National Army in the country’s southwestern desert.
The officials said militants clashed Saturday with guards near an air base seized earlier this year by the LNA in the town of Sabha. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to media.
The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Sabha is 650 kilometers (400 miles) south of the capital, Tripoli, where Field Marshal Khalifa Hifter’s LNA forces are currently fighting to take control of the city from militias affiliated with a weak U.N.-supported government.
The U.N. humanitarian agency said Friday that the month-long assault on Tripoli has displaced nearly 55,000 people.”

“An Afghan official says at least seven Afghan policemen were killed overnight when the Taliban stormed security checkpoints in western Badghis province.
Mohammad Naser Nazari, a provincial councilman, said Saturday that three other security forces were wounded during the attack in Qadis district.
The Taliban did not comment on the attack.
The Afghan defense ministry said Saturday that two separate airstrikes conducted Friday night by coalition forces in coordination with Afghan forces killed at least 43 militants from the Islamic State group in eastern Kunar province.
The statement said the airstrikes targeted IS in Chapara district and killed several Pakistani and Uzbek nationals.
Both the Taliban and IS are active in eastern Afghanistan, especially in Kunar and neighboring Nangarhar provinces, which border Pakistan.”

North Korea fires ‘projectiles’, South Korea says stop raising tensions
SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korea fired several “unidentified short-range projectiles” into the sea off its east coast on Saturday, prompting South Korea to call on its communist neighbor to “stop acts that escalate military tension on the Korean Peninsula”.
The South Korean military initially described it as a missile launch, but subsequently gave a more vague description. The latest firing came after the North’s test of what it called a tactical guided weapons system in April.

North Korea faces food crisis after poor harvest, U.N. says
GENEVA (Reuters) – Four in ten North Koreans are chronically short of food and further cuts to already minimal rations are expected after the worst harvest in a decade, the United Nations said on Friday.

North Korea cuts food rations to less than 11 ounces a day – its lowest ever for this time of year – after suffering worst harvest for a decade
North Korea has cut food rations to less than 11 ounces a day, the lowest ever for this time of year, and further cuts are likely after suffering the worst harvest in a decade, the United Nations said on Friday.
The U.N. carried out a food assessment at the request of North Korea from March 29 to April 12.
It was granted wide access, including to cooperative farms, rural and urban households, nurseries and food distribution centres.
‘Following the worst harvests in 10 years, due to dry spells, heat waves and flooding 10.1 million people will suffer from severe food insecurity, meaning they do not have enough food till the next harvest’, read the report.

Gaza-Israel hostilities flare with rocket attacks, air strikes
by Reuters
GAZA/JERUSALEM, May 4 (Reuters) – Gaza militants fired dozens of rockets into Israel on Saturday, drawing a wave of Israeli air strikes that killed one Palestinian gunman, as hostilities flared across the border for a second day.
The escalation began on Friday, when two Israeli soldiers were wounded by Gaza gunfire near the border. A retaliatory Israeli air strike killed two militants from the Islamist Hamas group that governs Gaza. Two other Palestinians protesting near the frontier were also killed by Israeli forces.
On Saturday, Israel hit Gaza with air strikes and tank fire after Palestinian militants fired about 150 rockets toward Israeli cities and villages.
The Israeli military said its forces had carried out attacks against more than 30 targets belonging to Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad militant group.
A small armed pro-Hamas group in Gaza, The Protectors of Al-Aqsa, said one of its men was killed in an air strike on Saturday.
The Gaza Health Ministry said six Palestinians were wounded. Residents identified two of them as militants.

Three locally made bombs and 100 grams of ammonia were found buried in the backyard of a mosque at Welipenna last night, police said.
The explosives were recovered during a joint operation carried out by the STF and the police.
Police said a 42-year-old suspect was arrested over the recovery of explosives.
Meanwhile, the police seized 16 circuit boards of high technology, 16 SIM cards, several compacts discs, computer accessories and a car in a house at Pirivena Mawatha in Mount Lavinia.
Police said each circuit board had the capacity to contain 12 SIM cards.
They arrested a 52-year old man along with the items.

Muslim Extremists planning attacks on bridges in Colombo: police
Islamist extremists in Sri Lanka are believed to be planning attacks on bridges in Colombo, the authorities said, as they warned that several conspirators in the Easter Sunday bombings which killed 257 people were still at large.
Police confirmed they had instructed stations around Colombo to deploy additional officers and asked the navy to deploy more vessels on rivers, following leaks of police intelligence reports warning that bridges into the capital were at risk of attack.
Sri Lanka’s military has also set up a special command centre to coordinate anti-Islamist operations, while the army said more troops have been deployed for search operations.
Additional troops conducted searches overnight and seized explosives and weapons from several locations, although these were from criminal groups and not extremists, official sources said.
“Extensive cordon and search operations of the army and sister services across the country with assistance of the police are continuing in search of terrorists, hideouts, explosives, weapons and other war-like items… with the deployment of more and more troops as required,” the army said in a statement.
The authorities had information about a small group of radicals who may be trying to stage more strikes, said Health Minister and government spokesman Rajitha Senaratne, who added that the crackdown on extremists after the Easter bombings had been largely successful.
“You can’t say the threat is over, but the situation is well under control… better than what we expected.”
But the government was also still on the hunt for “four terrorists” involved in the Easter attacks who were still at large, Mr Senaratne told AFP in an interview on Thursday evening.
The Catholic Church announced on Thursday that it had called off the resumption of Sunday servicesfollowing information of a “specific threat” against two of their locations just outside the capital.
Catholic schools, which were due to reopen after an extended Easter holiday, will now be shut indefinitely.
Public schools are due to reopen on Monday under tight security.

Germany: Man attacked at Palestinian event for allegedly yelling “Israel”
A group of Palestine supporters could be seen pushing and beating the man on the face and body, until they were separated and police officers arrived at the scene.
The event started early morning in Berlin’s Neukoelln district with music and dance performances on stage, food stands and several posters from the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, including signs against the Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Tel Aviv this year.
Police could be seen removing a poster accusing the Eurovision Song Contest of “art-washing apartheid” after a complaint was lodged by Green Party politician Volker Beck. On Twitter, the politician labelled the commemoration a “political event through-and-through” as opposed to a folklore event that it had been registered as.
DOJ calls out Dems for ignoring less-redacted Mueller report, serving subpoena instead
Justice Department officials chided congressional Democrats this week for ignoring a less-redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report made available to them, even as they pursue a subpoena for the full document and accuse the department of stonewalling.
The DOJ released a statement hours after Attorney General William Barr had testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee for more than five hours, answering questions about the department’s handling of the report’s release last month. Along with a letter denying access to the completely unredacted report and other files, the statement said that Democrats, including House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., had “refused” so far to review a version of the report with far fewer redactions.

Trump administration to give Border Patrol agents authority to decide asylum claims on the spot:
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/trump-administration-to-give-border-patrol-agents-authority-to-decide-asylum-claims-on-the-spot-sources
The Department of Homeland Security is racing to implement a plan that would give federal law enforcement on the border the authority to conduct interviews with asylum seekers who fear returning to their home countries, according to two sources with firsthand knowledge of the plan.
Under the pending procedural change, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services officers would train Border Patrol agents on the southern border how to conduct “credible fear interviews,” which immigrants must pass to go on to claim asylum. Agents would conduct the interviews shortly after apprehending people who have illegally crossed from Mexico to the U.S.
The Trump administration is pushing to start agent training “ASAP,” according to one official.

You didn’t hear about this mass murder because guns weren’t involved
A 25-year-old man is in custody in Tennessee, accused in the brutal murders of seven people including his parents, and injuring an eighth person, but this mass killing didn’t involve the one thing that would have earned national headlines.
The suspect, identified as Michael Cummins, was arrested after a search. According to WSMV, the state medical examiner says all of the victims died from “blunt force trauma or sharp force injuries.”
If all reporting of grisly murders was equal, what would they be calling this on network news broadcasts? Would it be “blunt instrument violence?” How about “knife violence?”

FBI official’s testimony may suggest more confidential informants than previously thought
Eric Felten, NRO
[Ed. – Actually, I think it’s been understood for a while that there may have been more. The odd answer Eric Felten quotes from Jonathan Moffa sounds like it could have been a LOT more – but I suspect one reason the answer sounds so odd is that Moffa isn’t addressing solely informants against the Trump campaign. Because the FBI operation was officially about Russia, Moffa may have been legitimately unable to say how many CHSs made contributions. There would naturally be quite a number of CHSs on Russian activities at any given time; some were probably relevant to the “Russia-election-‘Trump’” slice.]

FBI Official’s Testimony Raises New Questions about Surveillance of Trump Campaign
By Eric Felten

(Jim Bourg/Reuters)
Deputy assistant director Jonathan Moffa’s testimony, which has been obtained exclusively by National Review, suggests there was more going on than has yet been admitted.
The deputy assistant director at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Jonathan Moffa, was involved with the Russia–Trump investigation from the start. He was asked, in a closed-door Capitol Hill interview on August 24, 2018, to describe his role: “I was the section chief over counterintelligence analysis during the period of the election,” Moffa told lawmakers and staff. “And as a result, I had analysts who reported to me who supported the full range of the FBI’s counterintelligence investigations and counterespionage investigations during that period. So in a sense, if there’s a Russian-election-related investigation underway in the division at that point, personnel reporting to me are a part of it.”

https://thedefensepost.com/2019/05/04/nigeria-boko-haram-seizes-military-base-magumeri-iswap/
“Boko Haram militants seized a military base in northeast Nigeria for several hours before being themselves ‘dislodged’ by reinforcements, security sources and residents said on Saturday.
Fighters from the Islamic State West Africa Province faction of Boko Haram in trucks and on motorcycles stormed into the base in the town of Magumeri, around 40 km (25 miles) northwest of Borno state capital Maiduguri late on Friday, May 3, AFP reported.
The militants overran the base, holding it for several hours, and hauling away weapons before they were forced out.
“The terrorists dislodged troops from the base after an intense fight,” a military officer told AFP.
“We lost weapons and equipment to the terrorists but it is not clear if there was any human loss,” said the officer, who asked not to be named.
The militants arrived in the town around 5 p.m. and engaged troops in an hour-long fight before they “gained the upper hand and chased the troops away,” militia leader Gremah Kaka told AFP.
“The insurgents overpowered the soldiers and forced them to flee into the bush,” he said.
Kaka said the jihadists stayed in the base for “more than four hours” before they were dislodged by reinforcements from another base in Gubio, 40 km further north…”
