Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We muse use it while we can.

  1. Pakistan Supplying Chinese Grenades to Terrorists in Kashmir, Indian Media Says (sputniknews, Apr 19, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/asia/201904191074262820-pakistan-supplying-chinese-made-grnades-terrorists/

“There has been an increase in low-intensity grenade blasts in Jammu and Kashmir and most of these grenades are of Chinese origin, says a report published in the Indian media. These grenades do not carry any markings, therefore, India cannot use them as proof of Pakistan’s involvement in a particular terror attack, opines a defence analyst.

New Delhi (Sputnik): Indian intelligence agencies involved in counter terrorism operations have alleged that Pakistan is supplying Chinese-made grenades and highly sophisticated arms and ammunitions to terror groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir. A report in the English-language daily Hindustan Times has revealed this information after scrutinizing internal reports of Indian intelligence agencies.

Sputnik has obtained confirmation from sources in Indian intelligence agencies that there has been a sudden spurt in incidents of grenade blasts by terrorists at vehicles, patrol parties, camps of security forces in Jammu and Kashmir.

Most of the grenades now used by terror groups are Chinese-made. These grenades are easy to handle and are more suitable for low intensity blasts which often inflict maximum damage, agencies confirmed to Sputnik…”

    • China wants to keep that pot simmering.

I can see the possibility that China wants the low intensity terror war Pakistan is waging against India to turn into a full fledged war between the two nations. This scenario requires that China be desperate enough to get more liquid assets to save their economy that they are willing to risk everything slipping out of control and increases to the point that there is a nuclear exchange.

I don’t know if China is this desperate yet, yet is the operative word.

  2. Belgium Launches Facebook Campaign to Dissuade Potential Refugees (sputniknews, Apr 19, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201904191074280548-belgium-migrant-campaign/

“Apart from a website, which is designed to educate aspiring asylum seekers on their chances of settling in Belgium, there would also be a special Facebook campaign targeting certain groups, namely Palestinians and Moroccans.

Belgium’s Immigration Office has launched a six-month-long dissuasion campaign aimed at potential migrants in their countries of origin, as well as refugees in transit countries, Minister of Asylum, Migration, Health and Social Affairs Maggie De Block, who is in charge of the asylum policy, announced.

The government started the website www(.)factsaboutbelgium(.)be, designed to inform the potential asylum seekers about the country’s immigration policy and debunk myths about it. The site cost about 150,000 euros, according to RTL Info.

“The purpose of these messages is also to counter rumours and false information often spread on social media to allow people wishing to leave their country of origin to consider the move fully aware of the facts”, the Immigration Office stated.

In addition, the Belgian authorities also launched a Facebook campaign. It will focus on certain target groups, such as Palestinians and Moroccans, to present an accurate picture about their chances of getting asylum in the European country.

“Prevention by clearly informing migrants that their chances for asylum are very scant and that Belgium is no country of milk and honey is better than a cure”, De Block told journalists.

According to her, the Immigration Office was inspired by similar efforts in Britain and Germany, collaborating with a Dutch communications agency specialising in such campaigns.

The Commissioner-General for Refugees and Stateless persons states that more than 23,000 asylum applicants were registered in Belgium in 2018. Palestinian asylum seekers formed the second largest group of applicants after Syrians. At the same time, more than half of the applicants were granted refugee status or subsidiary protection.

Like other European countries, Belgium has been struggling to deal with the consequences of the migration crisis that broke out in 2015. According to the EU border agency Frontex, around 1.8 million migrants entered the territory of the EU in 2015, as many were fleeing conflicts and poverty in the Middle East and Africa.”

    https://www.aa.com.tr/en/europe/greece-feto-suspect-climbs-us-embassy-wall-for-asylum/1457172

“A Turkish citizen, suspected for links to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), climbed the wall of the U.S. embassy building in the Greek capital of Athens to seek asylum, Greek media reported on Thursday.

Thirty-five-year-old suspect, whose name was not disclosed, entered the yard of the embassy in the evening hours of Wednesday by climbing over the bars of the building, the reports said.

The suspect arrested by police said that he entered the embassy building in order to renew previously-rejected his request during his testimony, according to the reports.

The FETO suspect, who had entered the embassy building without permission in February as well, had been released after being arrested.

According to the Turkish government, the FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, which left 251 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.

Ankara also accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.”

  4. Iranian Security Service Discloses CIA, MI6 Espionage Networks – Reports (sputniknews, Apr 19, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/world/201904191074283565-iran-security-espionage/

“Since the arrival of the Trump administration, Washington has been taking a harsh approach towards Iran in its foreign policy. The US notably withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal on 8 May 2018 and imposed hefty sanctions against Tehran’s oil, banking and shipping sectors in November of the same year.

The head of Iran’s Intelligence Ministry’s Mahmoud Alavi announced on Friday that his ministry has managed to deal a heavy blow to the CIA’s spy network, operating both within Iran and the region, Mehr News Agency reported. He reportedly said that dozens of spies, working in the state’s sensitive sectors, have been arrested as a result of the ministry’s work.

“In a complicated process against the US Central Intelligence Agency, 290 spies from its espionage network in different countries, including Iran were identified”, he said.

Alavi further noted that a similar measure had been taken regarding Britain’s MI6, promising to release more details about operations against both foreign intelligence agencies later. He also said that the info about the spy networks will be forwarded to friendly states interested in it.

Neither Washington nor London have commented on the report yet. The news comes amid ongoing tensions between the US and Tehran that have recently led to Washington designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organisation and Tehran adding the US Central Command (CENTCOM) to a list of terrorist entities in a reciprocal move…”

    A Bad Week For Christians
Posted by Hannes Wessels on 19. April 2019

On one of the holiest days on the Christian calendar, Christians will look back on the events of the past week with little cheer.

Apart from the Eiffel Tower, no building represents France quite like Notre Dame Cathedral and for Christians everywhere, the beautiful building is massively symbolic. Construction began under the reign of Louis VII in 1163 and it has survived revolutions and catastrophic world wars but was very nearly burnt to the ground in a devastating fire which the authorities, including President Macron seemed to be in an unseemly haste to explain, was accidentally caused.

We are told, “Paris police will investigate the disaster as ‘involuntary destruction caused by fire’” and that they have ruled out arson and potential terror-related motives for starting the blaze. Well, maybe it was an accident but there’s a mountain of circumstantial evidence to suggest it was not. According to PI-News, a German news site, 1,063 attacks on Christian churches or symbols were registered in France in 2018. This was up 17% from 2017 when 878 attacks were reported. Notre-Dame des Enfants Church in Nimes was looted and human excrement used to scrawl a cross on a wall. In Houilles a statue of the Virgin Mary was smashed and in Lavaur a statue depicting the crucifixion of Christ was mangled. The Church of St. Sulpice in Paris was set ablaze by arsonists. Unsurprisingly, there seems to have been little said about this brazenly anti-Christian campaign in the reportage of the disaster.

The media’s determination to stop speculation that may suggest foul play was plain for all to see on Fox News (which is disappointing because they normally try to go for the facts) when two guests appeared to be closing in on the truth before they were told to shut up.

Deputy Mayor of Neuilly-sur-Seine, Philippe Karsenty’s line was cut after he insinuated the fire was a terrorist attack. “It’s like a 9/11, a French 9/11 it’s a big shock. This church was there for more than 850 years. You need to know that for the past years, we’ve had churches desecrated each and every week all over France. Of course, you will hear the story of the politically — the political correctness, which will tell you it’s probably an accident.” Later, Catholic League president Bill Donohue was shut down by Neil Cavuto after he said he was suspicious the fire was related to other church burnings. “Just last month, a 17th century church was set on fire in Paris, we have seen tabernacles knocked down, crosses have been torn down, statues have been smashed.”

Anyone who doubts the fact that the Christian message is being harshly suppressed will have a problem explaining the reaction in Australia to rugby star, Israel Folau’s recent social media post. In it he reminded his readers of a biblical edict that has been articulated for 2,000 years condemning homosexuality and fornication while imploring those who have sinned to repent with the words, “Jesus Christ loves you and is giving you time to turn away from your sin and come to him.”

The reaction has been swift and Folau’s illustrious career appears to be at an early end with the scrapping of his contract under pressure from primary sponsor, Quantas Airlines, whose CEO Alan Joyce is openly homosexual. All this, in a country that claims to guarantee freedom of speech, freedom of religion and a right to a fair trial. As far as I know, Folau will not even be offered an opportunity to explain himself to his superiors. What the authorities are saying with their condemnation of Folau is that the scriptures are hereby censored and God and Folau must now apply themselves to changing behavioural norms in the modern world.

All this against a backdrop of global persecution of Christians which appears to be intensifying. ‘Open Doors’, a ministry focusing on alleviating the plight of struggling Christians around the world names 50 countries on it’s ‘Watch List’ and grades the levels of oppression within them. What is going on, on a regular basis in countries like Sudan, Pakistan, Libya and Nigeria is truly terrifying. Last year in northern Nigeria a Christian village was attacked in which 106 innocents were killed and in Borno State, parishioners in a Catholic Church were gunned down while houses were razed and property looted. But there appears to be a deafening silence from those we would expect to be leading the fight to defend ‘the faith and the faithful’.

Pope Francis seems to be more exercised with problems relating to capitalism, ‘Global Warming’ and criticising the American president for trying to build a wall to protect his borders. Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury has been using his influence and position to exhort his followers to be ‘sensitive to their country’s colonial past and how this might affect their witness in communities that once belonged to the Empire … who have experienced abuse and exploitation by an Empire that has seemed to hold the Christian story at the heart of its project?’’

A religion that was only recently so strong, so powerfully defended and spread with pride and goodwill throughout the world, is on its knees and desperately in need of leadership. Among the clerics, there seems to be a lamentable lack of belief, commitment to the cause and fortitude. One of the few world leaders of consequence who seems proud to proclaim his belief in Christianity is Donald Trump and looking at the way they’re going after him he must be feeling a little like Jesus Christ did before they put him on the cross.

  7. EXCLUSIVE: Google Leftists Panic About Leaks, Threaten Employment of Colleagues (breitbart, Apr 18, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2019/04/18/exclusive-google-leftists-panic-about-leaks-threaten-employment-of-colleagues/

“Left-wing employees at Google are threatening the employment of their colleagues amid a panic about frequent leaks revealing political bias in the company’s products and working atmosphere.

Leaked internal discussion threads from Google provided exclusively to Breitbart News show left-wing Google employees reporting one of their colleagues for alleged “leaks,” while worrying about the legal implications of cracking down on a conservative at the company over his public complaints about working conditions.

The discussion took place last week on the “transparency and ethics” discussion group, from which the alleged leaker had recently been ejected – a failed attempt to stem the tide of leaks showing political bias at the tech giant.

Announcing the ejection of the alleged leaker, a Google employee wrote that vigilance about leaks was “especially important in light of the recent leaks that named our friends and colleagues in Breitbart and the Daily Caller.”

“If you have any knowledge of someone else who definitely leaked from THIS group, be sure to report it at go/stop-leaks,” wrote another Google software developer, referring to an internal messaging system for reporting potential leaks.

“I noticed a certain someone who leaked from this group still works here. Is that the new norm? Is there something specific that makes his leak okay? What’s up with all this” wrote a different employee.

Another Google software engineer said that it would set “an incredibly bad precedent if he is not terminated in light of acknowledging responsibility for the leak.”

The “leak” in question was a Medium post by conservative Google software engineer Mike Wacker. In the post, the employee published anonymized messages from inside the company to draw attention to hostile working conditions faced by employees who express non-leftwing opinions at Google.

Leftists at Google are now also blaming Wacker for the leak of messages from the transparency and ethics discussion group about Kay Coles James, the conservative voice on Google’s now-canceled AI advisory council. In the messages, Google employee accused the African-American grandmother and president of the Heritage Foundation of being a “vocal bigot” who supported “exterminationist views.”

Some Google employees urged caution, noting that there was no evidence that Wacker leaked the discussion, and that persecuting him for his Medium post might have legal implications.

“The odds of them showing up in, for example, a lawsuit for discrimination, or unfair dismissal, are high” said one employee, who warned against empowering “far-right extremists”.

“They serve the propaganda purpose of establishing further that Google is discriminatory against ‘conservative’ voices (ie: the far-right extremists, and the people perfectly happy to work with them if they don’t directly agree such as any republican voter) and that ‘leftists’ as a whole are a mob persecuting anyone they imagine might be an ‘enemy’ without regard of the facts.”

“it occurred to me … that some amount of his conversation might be considered protected speech given that it’s talking about working conditions” wrote another employee.

Under the National Labor Relations Act, workers can engage in public discussion of working conditions at their places of employment. In recent cases, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has upheld the right of employees to hold these discussions on social media platforms.

James Damore, who was fired from Google after publishing an internal memo advocating for viewpoint diversity which was subsequently leaked to the press by his opponents inside the company, brought a case before the NLRB after his dismissal. The NLRB, lobbied by Google, ruled in favor of firing Damore for so-called “discriminatory statements,” but also said that much of the rest of his memo, which discussed working conditions at Google, was protected by labor law.

Nevertheless, a Google employee insisted that the company’s leadership was “looking into” what to do with Wacker, but warned that even though the purported leaker had been ejected from the group, members should still be cautious about further leaks.

“The same email list which leaked recently is probably not the appropriate forum in which to be discussing the matter of what is being done about the leakers.”

Breitbart News has reached out to Google for comment.”

  8. Sydney Archbishop: French Church Burnings Attest Christians ‘Under Siege’ (breitbart, Apr 19, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/faith/2019/04/19/sydney-archbishop-french-church-burnings-attest-christians-under-siege/

“Sydney’s Catholic archbishop said Thursday that Christians around the world are “under siege” and hopes the fire at Paris’ Notre-Dame Cathedral was not a deliberate attack as others have been.

Archbishop Anthony Fisher said that after hearing of a recent “catalogue of fires” and arson attacks in French churches, “it really struck me that we are, in some ways, under siege.”

“In a sense, Christians are always under siege, even when they are very popular in the world. We have our own spiritual battles to fight,” he told radio host Alan Jones.

“Particularly at this time,” he said, “we know there are those in the world who are opposed to all religion or opposed to our religion and it looks like some of them are determined to make that clear by burning down our buildings.”

“I hope that’s not what was behind what happened at Notre-Dame Cathedral,” he added.

Investigators into the cause of the fire have found nothing suggesting arson, and the working hypothesis suggests that the blaze was an accident possibly linked to renovation works on the cathedral roof, almost all of which was burnt in the nine-hour fire.

At the same time, a recent spate of Catholic church desecrations and fires throughout France has led some to wonder whether the Notre-Dame fire could have been a similar case. Just last month, arsonists set fire to another centuries-old church in Paris, the Church of Saint Sulpice, which firefighters managed to contain before it did serious damage.

In his radio interview, Archbishop Fischer praised the response of the French people to the catastrophe, particularly their resolve to rebuild the church, which he has called “a wonder of the Christian world.”

“I think the determination of the French people to rebuild it is a very Christian response,” Fischer said.

“It says we won’t give in to such evil; that we know there’s a rhythm of death and resurrection in all our lives — and that’s true even for our church buildings,” he added.”

    • VICE News – Everything You Need To Know About The Mueller Report

President Trump proclaimed victory even before Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s final report was released Thursday, tweeting a photoshopped image of his silhouette beside Game of Thrones style text that menacingly read: “No Collusion. No Obstruction. For the haters and the radical left democrats — ‘Game Over.’”

But Mueller’s report doesn’t clear the president, by any stretch. While it wipes away any criminal entanglements over collusion with Russia, it rolls out page after page of damning episodes in which Trump appeared to obstruct justice — or attempted to.

Mueller lists, at great length, Trump’s efforts to derail the investigation. At one point, he writes that Trump’s attempts to influence the probe failed “largely because the persons who surrounded the president declined to carry out orders or accede to his request.”

“In layperson’s terms, he tried to obstruct justice,” Mary McCord, the former high-ranking DOJ official who helped oversee the department’s investigation of foreign interference in the 2016 election before Mueller was appointed, told VICE News. “I don’t know how you could walk away from this thinking that this isn’t a person who tried to obstruct justice.”

    • CBC – Mueller report details Russian links, but not enough for charges of crimes

Mueller acknowledges he “did not establish” co-ordination or conspiracy between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Yet his report reads like a spy novel, with details of how members of the Trump campaign pursued Russian contacts and cheered on Russia’s release of hacked emails or offers of campaign dirt.

  9. Richard: Be sure and read the entire article, she puts forward several important points and a very interesting what if question, More on this at the bottom.

Mueller Report: The unexplored bias of the ‘Russian interference in the election’ case
    By J.E. Dyer April 19, 2019

Mere hours after its release, there’s already a lot of admirable commentary on the “obstruction” portion of the Mueller Report. Although it may be useful to add to it in the coming days, I don’t feel the need to do so tonight.

I want to focus instead on the extremely under-inspected aspect of the “Russiagate” saga: the case that Russia interfered in the U.S. election in such a fashion that we should all be preoccupied with the matter, and buy into whatever the government authorities may want to do about it. The “whatever” has most notably encompassed “preempting U.S. government business for the last 22 months with an ‘investigation’ that mostly had nothing to do with actual ‘election interference.’”

But it may encompass more in the near future, as the fate of our liberties on social media and the Internet in general will very possibly be held hostage to themes and narratives about election interference.

This will be a short treatment, merely laying out the broad strokes. The impetus for it is reading Volume I of the Mueller Report, and being reminded anew of how weak the case is – starting with its inability to settle on a central premise.

    https://libertyunyielding.com/2019/04/19/mueller-report-the-unexplored-bias-of-the-russian-interference-in-the-election-case/

Richard: This article is a very good essay into how intelligence works and how to asses what is going on. As J.E. points out it the purpose of the Russian Interference was to under mine our faith in our Democratic institution it failed miserably. What if that wasn’t the purpose?

Many people have said that the Russians expected Hillary to win (they believed the Propaganda Media) and wanted to damage her so she wouldn’t be a very effective President. (They didn’t need to damage her, she is an expert on sabotaging her own career.)

There could have been anoter string on their bow, if Donald Trump won they were also in position to damage him by helping push the idea that he was a Russian Puppet. This hampers what he can do and makes it easier fo Putin, Xi, Kim and others to counter what PT wants to do to strengthen the US economy and security. They are aided in this by the Dems working to ensure that they regain power, power that they think they can make theirs for the rest of eternity.

The above fits with what we know about Putin’s long term goals:

    1) Rebuild the Russian Empire and while doing this to take control of areas that the Czars dream of taking but failed in the attempts.

    2) Position himself as the savior of Christianity, a goal that the western leftists are helping by continuing their attacks on Christianity.

    3) Keep Iran and Turkey from gaining control of the Middle East while keeping them as Russian Puppets.

I have carried the possible reasons for the Russian actions further then she does but she does say there is more to come. Her speculations and mine fit the facts but may be way off target or right on target. Read the entire article and make up decide for yourself.

  10. Dem Reps. Cummings, Waters, Schiff sign agreement to coordinate attacks against Trump
By Joe Newby April 18, 2019

How desperate are Democrats to “get” Donald Trump? On Tuesday, Sara Carter reported that three Democratic members of Congress — Reps. Elijah Cummings, Maxine Waters, and Adam Schiff — signed a secret Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to “target” President Trump and subpoena his financial and banking records.

On Monday, Carter noted, Rep. Jim Jordan, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee ranking member, sent a letter to Cummings outlining his objections. In it, he wrote:

    • Richard: This is another one you need to read in its entirety to get the full impact of what she has discovered.

Exclusive: House Dems Sign Secret MOUs To Target TrumpChairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Elijah Cummings and Financial Services Chairwoman Maxine Waters executed a secret Memorandum of Understanding to “target” President Trump and subpoena all his financial and banking records, according to a letter sent to Cummings from ranking committee member Rep. Jim Jordan.

Further, Jordan’s letter indicates that other MOUs have apparently been signed and agreed to with House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Ca, who has promised to continue investigations into the president despite findings by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office that there was no conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. Attorney General William Barr released a summary of Mueller’s 400 page report several weeks ago and the redacted version of the report is expected to be released by the DOJ this Thursday.

  11. Armed rightwing militia members detained a large group of migrants at the US-Mexico border and coordinated with US border patrol agents to have them arrested, according to the American Civil Liberties Union, in a series of actions the civil liberties organization called a “kidnapping” and a flagrant violation of the law.

Several videos taken at the border in New Mexico this week appeared to show men belonging to a group that calls itself the United Constitutional Patriots approaching migrant families and children, ordering them to sit down, calling federal agents on them, and at one point potentially misrepresenting themselves by saying “border patrol” as they approached.

“The Trump administration’s vile racism has emboldened white nationalists and fascists to flagrantly violate the law,” the ACLU of New Mexico said in a letter to the state’s governor and attorney general, urging them to “immediately investigate this atrocious and unlawful conduct”.

The ACLU described the group as “an armed fascist militia organization” made up of “vigilantes” working to “kidnap and detain people seeking asylum” and accused the group of directly making illegal arrests.

The group has repeatedly appeared in local news stories in recent weeks, expressing support for Donald Trump’s proposed border wall and presenting themselves as “volunteers” aiding border patrol efforts.

  12. Turkish Radio and Television – France honours self-proclaimed Islamophobe Houellebecq with highest honour

With President Emmanuel Macron awarding novelist and fierce critic of Islam with the Legion of Honour, activists say the country is ‘decorating’ people who are at odds with Republican values.

French President Emmanuel Macron has bestowed novelist Michel Houellebecq with the country’s highest award, the Legion of Honour.

The 63-year-old received the award at a ceremony in the Elysee Palace on Saturday, marking the high-point of a career riddled with controversy over his views on Islam, race, and women.

His 2015 book, Submission, described Islamic rule in France and despite its commercial success, was criticised for spreading fear of Muslims and immigrants.

The book is a dystopian depiction of France in the future, where a Muslim has won the French presidential election, and immediately moved to Islamicise the country.

In Submission, Jews are encouraged to leave France for Israel, women are forced to wear the veil, and only Muslims are allowed to teach at the Sorbonne, which in the novel becomes a Saudi-funded Islamic university.

Houellebecq has previous form attacking the religion, including his description of Islam as the “stupidest religion” in 2002.

“France is not Michel Houellebecq … it is not intolerance, hatred and fear,” said former French Prime Minister Manuel Valls in the wake of Submission’s publication, which also coincided with the Charlie Hebdo attacks.

The book was praised by French far-right leader, Marine Le Pen, who said it was a fictional work that could “become reality”.

In an interview with the Guardian after its release, Houellebecq doubled down on his previous comments.

When asked if he was Islamophobic, he responded “probably yes” before caveating: “but the word phobia means fear rather than hatred.”

French anti-racist and civil liberties activist, Yasser Louati, told TRT World that Houellebecq’s award showed that Islamophobia was “totally blessed” by the mainstream political class, and was not a unique occurrence.

“Houellebecq’s decoration comes a few years after Alain Finkielkraut, another notorious racist, was accepted into the prestigious Academie Française, just like famed Vichy supporter and anti-Semitic writer Charles Maurras was accepted into the Academy Française in 1939,” Louati said.

“The French Republic is again decorating people despite their staunch opposition to Republican values and equality between people.”

  13. As Expected Dirty Cops Mueller, Weissmann and Their Gang End Sham Investigation with Garbage Hit Piece on President Trump

True conservatives agree – the Mueller report was a disgrace. This was as expected after watching two years of a sham investigation that involved leaks, lies, fake crimes and criminal actions by the gang entrusted to investigate the President and his campaign.

Sidney Powell was on the Mark Levin Show in January and discussed dirty cops and attorneys Robert Mueller and Andrew Weissmann from their years overseeing the Enron and Arthur Andersen cases. Their actions were corrupt and criminal and cost the jobs, savings and careers of more than 85,000 individuals at Andersen and Enron.

    • In the last paragraph of the article he states what I have been saying, the Mueller team and their bosses want a civil war and that the US won’t be safe until all of the members of the coup are in the pen for their crimes.

  14. Matteo Salvini on the Shores of Tripoli

The slow escalation of Franco-Italian tensions has so far been relatively amicable. Demands for paintings and sculptures looted during the Napoleonic wars can be easily dismissed as brotherly banter and resolvable.

A proxy war in Libya, on the other hand, is something quite different.

Last week, Khalifa Haftar – the French-backed head of the Libyan National Army (LNA) – decided to engage hostilities and start shelling Tripoli, the capital of the rival “Government of National Accord” (GNA).

They were supposed to sit down with the UN to negotiate a peace accord, but Haftar chose the warpath.

Salvini has accused the rebels of carrying out a military coup.

Italy’s interest – as well as that of their hardline Interior Minister, who is in charge of border security – is clear. Destabilizing Libya for the third time in ten years will lead to yet another influx of migrants fleeing from the unnecessary conflict. Salvini has declared his certainty that terrorists would abuse the relief corridor to infiltrate Europe.

  15. Sara Carter: Deep State DOJ and FBI Operatives are Panicked, Ratting Out Each Other (VIDEO)

Sara Carter and FOX News legal adviser Gregg Jarrett joined Sean Hannity on Thursday night following the release of the Mueller Report.

Sara Carter told Hannity that her sources are telling her the deep state officials in the DOJ and FBI are turning on each other.

Sara Carter: There will be indictments. It will be an avalanche and according to the sources I was speaking with just today people are already turning on each other. So we are going to see people, senior officials within the FBI, people within the DOJ, that are going to try to throw their colleagues under the bus just to save themselves. And I think they need to be very concerned about what they did.

fter 22 months and $32 million, a team of 19 prosecutors with twice as many staff members, wielding 2,800 subpoenas, 500 witnesses, and 500 search warrants, produced nothing multiplied by zero.

Nothing except over 400 pages of allegations, innuendo and slime with a great big hole in the center.

Mueller and his intrepid team of Democrats had set out to investigate a great conspiracy. After all those millions of dollars, the raids and indictments, there’s no collusion. The supposed counterintelligence investigation turned up nothing on President Trump except his hostility to the witch hunt against him.

If firing an FBI director is a crime, then Bill Clinton should have been impeached or imprisoned. But if a former FBI director can treat the firing of an FBI director by the president as a crime, then is the country really run by the presidents and the voters who elect them, or by the FBI directors?

Mueller and his Democrats painstakingly document Trump’s dislike of their efforts. And then they imply that there is something criminal about an innocent man trying to fight back against a witch hunt. If you don’t defend yourself, it’s perjury. If you do defend yourself, then it’s obstruction of justice.

Heads I win, tails you lose.

Buildings like Notre Dame do not erupt into flames spontaneously. That’s not how God works, even to punish a civilization as deep in moral ruin as ours. My suspicions, and those of almost everyone I know, are hardly calmed when we see Fox News—yes, even Fox—repeatedly refusing to host an honest discussion of the possibility, even as experts tell French TV that eight hundred year old timber simply doesn’t burn that way without an accelerant. I mean, it’s not as though news networks restrain their hosts from wild speculation during other crises.

So, understandably, the first reaction from anyone who has been reading the news lately was: “Muslims, right?” Alas, even Right-wing newsreaders are terrified of saying the wrong thing when the perp might be a member of the Religion of Peace. Attacks on Christian churches in Europe have become so numerous that even Newsweek has had to admit it—though the magazine hilariously claims that no one knows why these attacks are happening, and the words “Islam” and “Muslim” are nowhere to be found in its reporting.

Anyway, as of now, no solid evidence has emerged, and our media refuses to discuss the context in which this fire occurred. And it’s also true that a few of these desecrations have been accompanied by Satanic imagery, more likely the work of feminist anarchists. So, in the interests of being responsible, we are compelled to say we have no idea how this particular fire began. Yet.

  19. No Free Ride for Asylum Seekers Who Enter U.S. Illegally
Trump administration tries to rein in an out-of-control system.
    April 19, 2019
    Matthew Vadum

Attorney General William Barr overturned a Bush-era policy by finding that asylum-seekers who enter the United States illegally are no longer eligible for release while their claims are processed.

The move is part of the Trump administration’s effort to reform the nation’s dysfunctional immigration law enforcement system. The new policy, announced April 16 but stayed for 90 days, will almost certainly be challenged in court by left-wingers, like more or less everything President Donald Trump does. The American Civil Liberties Union is already chomping at the bit to fight the policy in the courts.

America’s asylum system is routinely abused by illegal aliens, economic migrants, and people who don’t like living in what the president aptly termed sh*thole countries. In recent years only about one-fifth of asylum applications have been granted.

The system is currently under siege as the U.S. is being swamped by would-be immigrants from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. Over 1.4 million individuals have been apprehended at the southern border after entering the U.S. illegally. About a half a million of those have been caught in the past year and a half.

“We are currently experiencing a system-wide emergency in our processing and holding facilities,” U.S. Customs and Border Protection Deputy Commissioner Robert E. Perez said last month.

Attorney General Barr is looking at internal American spying, and it’s a good thing. But while he’s at it, he should take a hard look at traditional spying. You know, enemy spies in our midst.

What if the coup operation worked, in whole or in part, thanks to the skilled efforts of one or more foreign intelligence services? What if our intelligence services were penetrated by Russian, Chinese, Iranian, Cuban and North Korean agents, who manipulated our spooks by dint of disinformation?

It would not be the first time we were gulled into believing we were getting assistance from our enemies, nor would it be the first time American politicians turned to enemy spooks for assistance in American political campaigns and operations. The most sensational such case was when, in 1983, Senator Kennedy of Massachusetts sent his law school buddy, former California Senator John Tunney, to Moscow with a message for the head of the KGB. The message: the strained relations between Washington and Moscow were the fault of Ronald Reagan, and the Kremlin needed a media campaign to make things better. Kennedy offered to help:

    • This is another one that needs to be read by everyone, Ledeen is familiar with the Cold War Spy operations of both sides. The only thing he doesn’t touch on in this article is the way some US intel people (military and civilian) have recently been caught selling or giving information to China. They claimed that they were doing this to save the US from Donald Trump.

Consider where on the political spectrum you have to be when you think communist China is the savior and a Patriotic Capitalist is the enemy. Obama purged out military and intel organizations of patriots and promoted people he considered politically reliable.

  21. Bush League Judge Junks Second Amendment
Roger Benitez caves to Clinton crony Xavier Becerra, a fugitive in the Imran Awan case.
    April 19, 2019
    Lloyd Billingsley

Last month, U.S. District Court Judge Roger Benitez ruled unconstitutional California’s 2016 ban on gun magazines of more than 10 rounds capacity. The Cuban-born Benitez, an appointee of President George W. Bush, wrote that “Individual liberty and freedom are not outmoded concepts.” California’s law, according to the judge, “turns millions of responsible, law-abiding people trying to protect themselves into criminals.”

Benitez cited examples of citizens who ran out of ammunition defending themselves against home invasions by violent criminals. Benitez also characterized the Second Amendment as a “check on tyranny,” first implemented by those who “cherished individual freedom more than the subservient security of a British ruler.”

Law-abiding Californians applauded the judge’s brave defense of their Second Amendment rights. Governor Gavin Newsom, who plans even more restrictive gun laws, blasted the ruling as “indefensible.” Attorney general Xavier Becerra complained directly to Benitez, who responded by reversing his own ruling.

“The court understands that strong emotions are felt by people of good will on both sides of the constitutional and social policy questions,” Benitez wrote.

  22. Time Names Anti-Semite Malaysia PM as ‘Most Influential’ for His ‘Core Values’ (breitbart, Apr 19, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2019/04/19/time-names-anti-semite-malaysia-pm-as-most-influential-for-his-core-values/

“TIME magazine’s 2019 list of the world’s 100 Most Influential People, published on Wednesday, includes the self-professed “proud” anti-semitic prime minister of Malaysia, who has publicly disparaged Jews as “hook-nosed.”

The magazine praised PM Mahathir Mohamad, who took office on May 2018, for coming out of retirement after ruling Malaysia for 22 years, adding:

The formidable old warhorse dazzled during a grueling campaign, gathering vast crowds; his reliance on core values united electoral groups, and his age inspired trust in a grand man of politics.

Citing the PM’s decision to liberate the 71-year-old former leader of the opposition Anwar Ibrahim, who is expected to replace Mohamad, TIME credits him with re-establishing democracy “in a country that almost teetered into totalitarianism.”

In an October 2018 interview with BBC, Mohamad described Jews as “hook-nosed” and denied the Holocaust that killed millions of them.

“There are many races in this world, I have said nasty things about them but they never accused me of being anti-this or anti-that,” he declared in response to criticism about his anti-semitic tendencies.

Asked about his derogatory comments, he doubled down, saying, “They are hook-nosed.”

“If you are going to be truthful, the problem in the Middle East began with the creation of the State of Israel, that is the whole truth,” the Malaysian prime minister also said. He again went on to cast doubt to the Holocaust.

The Malaysian PM has on multiple occasions welcomed the anti-semite moniker, saying he is glad to be one.

In Kuala Lumpur in 2003, the PM reportedly proclaimed, “I am glad to be labeled anti-Semitic.”

“How can I be otherwise, when the Jews who so often talk of the horrors they suffered during the Holocaust show the same Nazi cruelty and hard-heartedness towards not just their enemies but even towards their allies should any try to stop the senseless killing of their Palestinian enemies?” he asked at the time.

As Prime Minister, he banned Israel from participating in a Paralympic swimming qualifier taking place in his country for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics before his government announced that Malaysia would no longer host any event that invites the state of Israel to participate at all.

In September 2018, some at the United Nations applauded the PM after his tirade against Israel during the General Assembly, the world’s biggest stage for peace and diplomacy.

    Muhamad told the U.N.:

The world does not care even when Israel breaks international laws, seizing ships carrying medicine, food, and building materials in international waters. The Palestinians fired ineffective rockets which hurt no one. Massive retaliations were mounted by Israel, rocketing and bombing hospitals, schools and other buildings, killing innocent civilians including school children and hospital patients.

The world rewards Israel by deliberately provoking Palestine by recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. It is the anger and frustration of the Palestinians and their sympathizers that cause them to resort to what we call terrorism.

Attempting to arouse more friction between Palestinians and Jews, he argued that the creation of the Israeli state is the “root cause” of Islamic terrorism.

The majority of countries at the U.N. are pro-Palestine.”

According to a readout released by the White House on Friday, Trump and Hifter talked about counter-terrorism and the political future of Libya. The call took place earlier in the week.

The statement says: The President recognized Field Marshal Haftars significant role in fighting terrorism and securing Libyas oil resources, and the two discussed a shared vision for Libyas transition to a stable, democratic political system.

Hifter is aligned with a rival government in the east that is supported by Trumps allies Egypt and United Arab Emirates.

Italys minster, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, told reporters Friday after the two held talks in Rome that lower-ranking ministry officials will meet next week in the Italian capital to build the path toward a goal that remains a shared one.

French Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian says therell be no progress toward ending the current fighting in Libya without a solid Franco-Italian agreement.

Italy and France both have energy and other strategic interests in Libya.

“Turkish authorities on Friday formally arrested two men on charges of spying for the United Arab Emirates, Turkeys state-run news agency said.

Authorities were also investigating the possibility that the men could have been involved in the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul last year, a security official told The Associated Press.

The two men were detained Monday following a joint operation by Turkeys police and its intelligence agency, according to the security official, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with government regulations.

They appeared before court officials after four days of police questioning, which ordered them arrested on charges of political, military and international espionage, the official Anadolu Agency reported, citing court officials.

Officials in the UAE did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Turkish state broadcaster TRT showed what appeared to be surveillance camera images of the two as well as photographs of the pair taken under police custody.

The official did not identify the suspects but said the two confessed during their interrogation that they had been spying on Arab dissidents based in Turkey on behalf of the UAE, which is Saudi Arabias closest Arab ally.

The official said one of the two men had arrived in Istanbul shortly after the killing of Khashoggi.

Security officials had been monitoring their moves for the past six months, the official said…”

  26. Holocaust museum as safe space!

Holocaust photos ‘too horrific’ to go on show at specialist museum
    https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2019/04/holocaust-photos-too-horrific-to-go-on-show-at-specialist-museum/

Four unique photographs showing Jews being sent into the gas chamber and the burning of bodies at Auschwitz concentration camp were not shown in an exhibition at the National Holocaust Museum in Amsterdam for being too shocking, the Volkskrant said on Friday. The photos, which were taken at great risk to his own life by Greek prisoner Alberto Errera and smuggled out in a toothpaste tube, are the only known photographs in which the acts of the mass extinction of Jews can be actually seen. They should have formed ‘the logical conclusion’ of an exhibition which tells the story of the holocaust in photographs, guest curators Erik Somers and René Kok said.

‘We show how the societal exclusion of Jews progressed from 1940 and how it was followed by persecution and finally, extinction. This ultimate consequence must be shown, no matter how shocking,’ they told the paper. Emile Schrijver, director of Amsterdam’s Jewish Cultural Quarter, told the paper that apart from doubts about the educational value of the horrific photos, they were already on show at the Hollandse Schouwburg opposite the museum. ‘It would have been ridiculous to show photos by a Greek photographer with Greek victims now when visitors can see them on the other side of the street. This exhibition did not warrant their inclusion as it is about the persecution of Dutch Jews,’ he told the paper. Errera’s photos were not removed but covered up. The reason for this is that the exhibition, titled The persecution of the Jews in photographs, is going to travel to Berlin where it can be seen at the Topographie des Terror institute from October 29. ‘They will naturally go on show there. The Germans would very much object to the removal of the photos,’ the paper quotes Somers as saying.

  27. Research shows: Dutch jihadis have history of mental illness, petty crime and failure
    https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2019/04/dutch-jihadis-have-history-of-mental-illness-petty-crime-and-failure/

An analysis of the backgrounds of 319 Dutch jihadis shows that many of them had major problems before making the decision to leave, debunking the idea that all come from ‘normal’ backgrounds, the Volkskrant said on Thursday. The analysis, carried out by police researcher Anton Weenink, found that 28% had psychological problems, ranging from schizophrenia to depression, compared with 8% of the general population. This finding means that the ‘discussion about whether someone who carries out an attack is driven by ideology or has mental issues’ has become more irrelevant, Weenink told the paper. That question is central in the case of Gökmen Tanis, who shot dead four people on a tram in Utrecht last month, and who is said to have both a terrorist motive and psychological problems. ‘It is not a black and white question. People who carry out attacks can be mentally confused, have some form of personality disorder or be driven by ideology,’ Weenink said. The research shows that most of the Dutch jihadis have Moroccan roots, come from broken homes and that two-thirds of them have criminal convictions, mainly for mugging, vandalism and burglary. Some 40% have been involved in violence and a large majority were unemployed before they left for Syria. One in 10 has been homeless at some point. The research, the paper says, undermines the theory used by terrorism experts that jihadis often have a ‘normal’ background and in some cases are more successful than the average member of society. This image, the paper says, was fueled by the middle-class hardened idealists behind the 9/11 attacks in the US.

But this, says Weenink does not apply to the ill-educated jihadis who are taking revenge on their old, failed lives. ‘Their journey to Syria is the latest problematic phase in a life that has always been problematic,’ he said. ‘They were not even successful as criminals, because they were not involved in organised crime. They are people whose lives had come to a stop and who had nothing to lose.’

Determining what drove young men and women to move to Syria is crucial when considering whether or not they should be allowed back, Weenink said. ‘Most of them will have to go to jail and that will give time to find out what their state of mind is… my research shows it is important to take a broad approach to this problem, not just from the criminal justice system.’

  28. CNN – Elizabeth Warren says House should start impeachment proceedings for Trump

Sen. Elizabeth Warren called on the House of Representatives to begin impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump Friday.

“The Mueller report lays out facts showing that a hostile foreign government attacked our 2016 election to help Donald Trump and Donald Trump welcomed that help. Once elected, Donald Trump obstructed the investigation into that attack,” the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate wrote on Twitter. “Mueller put the next step in the hands of Congress: ‘Congress has authority to prohibit a President’s corrupt use of his authority in order to protect the integrity of the administration of justice.’ The correct process for exercising that authority is impeachment.”

Prior to this week, Warren — like many other Democrats — had consistently said that she would first need to first see the full report by special counsel Robert Mueller before drawing any conclusions on whether Congress should consider impeachment proceedings against the President. That question has been a divisive one for Democrats in Washington, with many in the party urging caution.

Warren’s call for impeachment proceedings could foreshadow other national Democrats — including additional presidential candidates — following suit in the coming days.
The Massachusetts Democrat said on Twitter: “To ignore a President’s repeated efforts to obstruct an investigation into his own disloyal behavior would inflict great and lasting damage on this country, and it would suggest that both the current and future Presidents would be free to abuse their power in similar ways.”

Warren, a vocal critic of Trump, also said that the “the severity of this misconduct demands that elected officials in both parties set aside political considerations and do their constitutional duty. That means the House should initiate impeachment proceedings against the President of the United States.”

According to a Warren aide, the senator, who was flying back to Boston from Salt Lake City on Thursday, began reading the redacted Mueller report on the plane. She continued reading into the night after getting home. When she was finished, she felt it was her “duty” publicly share her thoughts, the aide added.

The aide also told CNN that Warren’s decision to call on impeachment proceedings does not mean that the topic of impeachment will become the central theme of her 2020 campaign going forward. Warren plans to continue to roll out major policy proposals and discuss on the stump how she believes Washington is “broken,” according to the aide.

    • Terms of Impeachment: Media Mention The I-Word 309 Times in One Day

Although the Mueller report did not recommend any charges against the President, liberal journalists on cable and broadcast networks spent Thursday suggesting to audiences that impeachment was imminent, if not inevitable. Throughout Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, liberal talking heads on cable and broadcast news networks mentioned impeachment an astonishing 309 times during their coverage the of the newly-released Mueller report.

MRC analysts examined a 24-hour span of coverage on liberal cable (CNN, MSNBC) and broadcast (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks, from 11:00 a.m. EDT on Thursday to the same time the following day, for every instance where the term “impeachment” — or some permutation thereof — was used by hosts, analysts, or contributors. In total, the word came up 309 times, with the vast majority (286) coming from cable networks CNN (148) and MSNBC (138).

This study looked only at the 18 hours of regular daily programming, thus excluding any coverage that took place between midnight and 6:00 a.m. EDT Friday morning. An updated count of the full 24 hours is pending. Those numbers also did not include cases in which the term was uttered by politicians or other explicitly partisan actors, such as Trump attorney Jay Sekulow.

  29. The family of the 5-year-old boy who was thrown from the third floor balcony at the Mall of America last Friday has “good news to share with you on this Good Friday.”

“Our miracle child is showing real signs of recovery. New test results have been positive, though he remains in intensive care with a long road ahead. Our faith in God, and our Savior Jesus, is strong, and we are gaining more reason for optimism day by day. We continue our appeal for privacy as we focus on our son, and thank you for respecting our wishes. Just know that we absolutely feel your overwhelming love, prayers and support, for they seem to be working. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.”

The man accused of throwing the boy, Emmanuel Aranda, 24, is charged with attempted murder. According to the charges, the boy’s mother said she and her son were with a friend and a friend’s child outside the Rainforest Café on the third floor of the mall around 10:15 a.m. when Aranda, whom they did not know, approached them.

Aranda came very close to them, so the boy’s mother asked if they were in the way and should move. Aranda then picked up her son, threw him off the balcony and fled the scene.

Police estimate the child fell approximately 39 feet and landed in front of multiple people. Officers rendered aid to the boy and he was taken to Children’s Hospital. Medical personnel said he had multiple fractured bones in his arms and legs, was bleeding from the head and had massive head trauma.

A witness tried to keep Aranda from leaving the scene, but he pushed them away and continued running. Officers located him waiting for the light rail train and arrested him.

After his arrest, Aranda agreed to speak with officers and admitted he was the one who had thrown the boy off the balcony. He said he come to the mall on Thursday planning to kill an adult because they usually stand near the balcony, but it did not “work out.” He returned to the mall on Friday and chose the 5-year-old boy instead.

France: Statue of Virgin Mary Decapitated
NEARLY 900 CHURCHES IN FRANCE TARGETED IN 2018 ALONE.
By Paul Watson, Summit News, 18 April, 2019:

A statue of the Virgin Mary was decapitated in a small French village yesterday, the latest in a deluge of anti-Christian attacks in France which numbered almost 900 in 2018 alone.

The statue, located in the commune of Marlhes, was beheaded despite being made of cast iron with metal reinforcements.

According to a report by LeProgres, the vandals “had to be well equipped” to cause the damage. It had already been damaged last year as a result of a fire.

The local resident’s association has vowed to repair or replace the statue. The perpetrators have not been caught.
