Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We muse use it while we can.

  1. Only black reporters allowed in Georgia mayoral race event

SAVANNAH, Ga. | Race was front and center on Wednesday night during a meeting coordinated to garner support for just one black candidate in Savannah’s mayoral election.

With signs stating “Black press only” on the doors of the church where the meeting was held, white reporters were barred from entry, while black reporters for at least two television stations were permitted inside.

The event was coordinated by the Rev. Clarence Teddy Williams, owner of the consulting firm, The Trigon Group, who declined to discuss the entry policy.

Former Savannah Mayor Edna Jackson declined to comment before going inside, as did Chatham County Commissioner Chester Ellis.

“This is not my idea,” Ellis said.

Savannah Alderman Estella Shabazz, who also attended, said that she had once owned a newspaper and she was a member of the black press, but she declined to comment on the policy barring white reporters from going inside.

    • The officials know this, so the church itself must already have a private membership policy and not receive any type of public status?
“If you are truly a private club, and not open to the public, the answer is generally, yes, you’re allowed to discriminate,” said Frost.

      Why?

“On the theory we have a Constitutional right of freedom of association,” she said.

The courts have struggled with the issue, trying to figure out which clubs are truly private and which are essentially public.

The Supreme Court forced the Boys Clubs to admit girls, now they’re known as the Boys & Girls Clubs. They ruled that since the Boys Club accepted all boys, it was essentially public, except for girls.

“The more restrictions put on a membership, the more likely it is a truly private club,” said Frost.

  2. Democrats want to tax internet access at least 20%, as per Pelosi’s ‘Save the Internet’ Act:

  3. (ANSA) – Rome, March 28 – The Senate on Thursday gave final approval to the government’s law expanding the right to legitimate self defence. It was approved by the Upper House on its third reading with 201 votes in favour, 38 against and six abstentions.
The lawmakers from the parties supporting Premier Giuseppe Conte’s government, the League and the 5-Star Movement (M5S), applauded as the legislation got the definitive green light. The bill expanding the right to self-defence from intruders, fashioned by Interior Minister and League leader Matteo Salvini, introduces norms similar to US ‘stand your ground’ laws.
“This is a great day for Italians,” said Salvini, who recently courted controversy by visiting in jail a businessman who made a would-be thief kneel and shot and injured him in the chest.

  4. THE US GOVERNMENT says a Chinese gaming company’s ownership of the gay dating app Grindr poses a national security risk, according to a report from Reuters. Beijing Kunlun Tech acquired a 60 percent stake in Grindr in 2016 and bought the rest in 2018. But, Reuters reports, the Chinese firm didn’t clear the acquisition with the agency known as the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, or CFIUS, which evaluates the national security impacts of foreign investments in US companies.

Kunlun is now seeking to sell Grindr following the CFIUS assessment, according to Reuters. Grindr declined to comment; CFIUS and Kunlun did not respond to requests for comment.

Reuters didn’t say what specific issues CFIUS raised, but the US government has worried in the past that companies in China could help the Chinese government spy on users. Grindr has access to particularly sensitive user data, including sexual preferences, geolocation, and HIV status. It’s a potential gold mine for blackmailers, but that might not be the agency’s only worry.

    • It’s impossible that some of this recent opposition has not arisen out of Trump’s hard-nosed stance with Huawei and Red China in general.

Hallelujah for that. Never has the status quo of international diplomacy needed the comprehensive rework that Trump is uniquely qualified to provide.

  5. Denmark to deprive jihadists’ children of citizenship

COPENHAGEN: Children born abroad to Danish jihadists will no longer receive Danish citizenship, the minority government announced Thursday after striking a deal with its populist ally the Danish People’s Party.

“Contrary to current rules, children who will be born in regions prohibited to Danes … will not automatically receive Danish nationality,“ the immigration ministry said in a statement.

“As their parents have turned their back on Denmark, there is no reason for the children to become Danish citizens,“ Immigration Minister Inger Stojberg was quoted as saying in the statement.

The proposal must still go through parliament. No date has been set for the vote but it is expected to pass.

The fate of foreign fighters with the Islamic State group and their families has become a major international headache since the fall of the last vestige of its so-called caliphate in Syria.

Since 2016, it has been a criminal offence under Danish law to have fought in conflict zones for a terrorist group.

The courts have already convicted 13 people for having joined or tried to join a terrorist organisation.

Nine of those were stripped of their Danish nationality and expelled from the country. The others could not be stripped of their citizenship as they did not hold dual nationality.

Under the new rules, holders of dual nationality can lose their Danish citizenship by simple administrative order.

There are around 40 jihadists with links to Denmark in what used to be territory held by the Islamic State group in Syria, 10 of whom have been captured, according to the government.

Danish government reaches agreement to revoke passports of Isis fighters

The government and Danish People’s Party (DF) have agreed new rules that will enable authorities to withdraw passports from individuals found to have fought for militant groups abroad.

The new rules will provide for an administrative process that will enable passports to be revoked without going through the courts, the Ministry of Immigration and Integration announced.

Immigration minister Inger Stojberg said in a statement that she was “very satisfied” with the agreement.

“These people have gone to fight against democracy, freedom and everything Denmark stands for, and they do not belong in Denmark,” Stojberg said.

In addition to the new provision on passports, the government and its parliamentary ally DF have also agreed to change citizenship rules.

A new rule will mean that citizenship will not automatically be given to children born to Danish mothers if they are abroad with the purpose of fighting for groups such as Islamic State (Isis) at the time of the child’s birth.

That means that children born in areas where it is illegal to travel to will not be automatically entitled to Danish citizenship if their parents entered the country or region in question illegally.

“Their parents have turned their back on Denmark, so there is no reason for their children to be citizens,” Støjberg said.

Although the agreement is currently supported by a majority in parliament, it cannot be passed into law until after general elections, which must take place no later than June, Ritzau writes.

Police security agency PET has estimated that 150 people have, since 2012, travelled from Denmark to Iraq or Syria to take part in wars there.

Of those, around one third has returned to Denmark, according to the intelligence agency’s assessment.

PET has also estimated that “some women who travelled [to the relevant areas] took children with them into conflict areas, and some had children while they were there”.

Around 40 Danish foreign fighters are still in areas of conflict, of which 10 are in prison, Minister of Justice Søren Pape Poulsen said at a parliamentary hearing on Wednesday. The remainder have returned to Denmark, travelled to other countries or have been killed.

  6. BREITBART – Three Members of Macron’s Government Resign, Citing Desire to Stand in Forthcoming Elections

PARIS (AP) – French President Emmanuel Macron says three Cabinet ministers have resigned, including the European Affairs minister who plans to lead the campaign by Macron’s party for European Parliament seats.

The president said in a statement Wednesday that government spokesman Benjamin Griveaux and Digital Affairs minister Mounir Mahjoubi are leaving along with European Affairs minister Nathalie Loiseau.

Griveaux and Mahjoubi have said in interviews they want to run in next year’s mayoral race in Paris. The current mayor is Anne Hidalgo.

A government reshuffle is expected in the coming days.

Loiseau, a career diplomat, joined Macron’s government in June 2017 and was involved in France’s Brexit preparations. She will head the president’s pro-European Union party in the May EU parliament elections.

Griveau has been government spokesman since November 2017.

Mahjoubi became digital affairs minister in May 2017.

Summary: I am oversimplifying, but the gist is that Soros and US taxpayer money paid for much of the oppo research in Ukraine used to blackmail Manafort and feed the case against Trump – and while the US ambassador gave a list of their operatives (not there in government capacity) to the Ukrainian equivalent of the Attorney General, telling him not to prosecute any of the people on the list…

  9. Democrats Love a Wealth Tax, But Europeans Are Ditching the Idea

Bloomberg) — Democrats are busy finding new ways to tax the rich. The most straightforward way to do that — an annual tax on household wealth — is an idea with deep roots in Europe that several 2020 hopefuls are hoping to import to the U.S.

Yet of the 15 European countries that tried a wealth tax in recent years, only four still employ it. Most of those governments ultimately were underwhelmed by the amount of revenue raised and overwhelmed by the difficulty in collecting an accurate tax.

Nevertheless, the idea is gaining steam among Democrats trying to unseat President Donald Trump in 2020. Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts was the first to come out with a detailed wealth tax proposal, and former Texas congressman Beto O’Rourke has expressed support for the concept.

Warren wants to impose a 2 percent annual tax on a family’s wealth over $50 million, with an additional surcharge of 1 percent on wealth above $1 billion. She says her plan would raise $2.75 trillion over 10 years.

  10. Ep. 946 Explosive New Revelations Surface About Brennan. The Dan Bongino Show 3/28/2019.

    • Christie Blatchford: Caitlan Coleman testifies Boyle exiled her while they were in captivity

At its best, their relationship was a volatile mix of fights, breakups and makeups, him criticizing her, her crying and self-harming, then him saying he loved her

he blackest period of Caitlan Coleman’s curious life, spent largely in the immense shadows cast by Joshua Boyle, came when she was living in the rudimentary toilet room of the couple’s quarters in Afghanistan.

The pair were kidnapped by the Taliban-affiliated Haqqani network about a week after they had entered the war-torn country in 2012, an “adventure” driven by Boyle’s belief that “the better cultures are Indigenous cultures, poor cultures” and that there they would live among the gentle Pashtun people.

They weren’t freed, by Pakistani troops, until October of 2017.

“He (Boyle) told me I had to stay in the bathroom stall,” Coleman told Ontario Court Judge Peter Doody Wednesday as she began testifying at Boyle’s trial on 19 criminal charges, most of which relate to alleged physical abuse of her.

Boyle, 35, is pleading not guilty to all charges.

“That was where I had to live,” she said. He allegedly told her, “ ‘Just your presence is hurtful to everyone around you.’”

The room consisted of a water source, buckets for washing and a toilet of sorts. Like the main room, it had a dirt floor.

This exile within a captivity, Coleman said, first happened in the spring of 2017, was interspersed with periods where she was allowed in the main room, but from August that year until the pair were rescued, that was her status quo.

By then, they had three young children, and “Josh would sometimes allow them to visit me or I could come out to visit them.” But mostly, she said, the visits would end quickly, with Boyle telling her “’You don’t know how to talk to kids, you’re the worst mother ever’.

“That was probably the darkest period of my whole life,” she said.

Their oldest child, she said, was by then so inured to trauma, he didn’t react.

Yet within two months, when they were freed, and the alleged abuse from Boyle had stopped, Coleman thought, well, “things would be workable…” Such is the age-old rationale offered up by women who stay with their batterers, and who have long ago lost any semblance of self-esteem or free will.

Coleman’s time in Afghanistan, of course, is not the subject of Boyle’s trial, so prosecutor Meaghan Cunningham’s questions were short and to the point.

And yes, Coleman said in reply, she had experienced “physical violence” by her captors, and so had Boyle, though because the pair were separated periodically, she saw only minimal amounts of it.

What is at issue here is Boyle’s alleged treatment of Coleman before captivity, during it, and after, when the couple was flown back to Canada within days of being released.

Their early years together — they met online on a Star Wars forum, as teenagers — were filled with angst and drama overblown even for adolescents.

He was still pining for a previous girlfriend, Coleman said.

“He was so devastated, he said he couldn’t live or love again.” She worried he was suicidal, and “I thought I could be the one to rescue him.” She crushed on him.

They didn’t meet in person for four years, and by then he’d had a new girlfriend, one B., and then she too broke up with him, and again, Boyle couldn’t “face life any more, he was going to kill himself.”

He would hint that maybe he could love her, Coleman, but then the next day would say no, B. was the love of his life; Coleman’s emotions were regulated entirely by him. She began self-harming, a practice that she says has continued.

At its best, their relationship was a volatile melange of fights, breakups and makeups, him criticizing her, her crying and self-harming and self-diagnosing as a borderline personality, then him saying he loved her and her filled with excitement.

Then in late November of 2008, he called to say he was marrying another woman.

This, as it turns out, was the jihadi-loving Zaynab Khadr, sister of Omar Khadr, and after a period of unspecified serious illness, Coleman pulled her life together. She was in college, seeing another man, living on her own in Pennsylvania, where she was raised.

Boyle called her, and soon enough, they were back in touch. He explained “he wasn’t really married to Zaynab, it was just (a show) for the media to help the Khadr family…. He wanted to marry me.”

As Coleman put it, “I still had the feeling Josh was my true love… He opened the door and right away I wanted to go through it.”

By November of 2009, she had broken up with the boyfriend and had committed to Boyle, though, inconveniently, he was still married to Khadr.

As was always the case according to Coleman, as soon as they were physically together — in the same country — the relationship would deteriorate. He’d tell her how to dress (“Eastern styles and what I’d call Prairie dresses”), and she’d do it “because I knew that it pleased him.”

Ultimately, they married in Costa Rica in July of 2011 while on a backpacking trip paid for by Coleman’s father.

After the trip, she went back to Pennsylvania, he to a New Brunswick home he’d bought; neither could legally live in the other’s country.

He threatened to disappear; she was at peace with that, she said. She even had a lawyer draw up divorce papers and was trying to figure out how to serve Boyle when he figuratively showed up at her doorstep.

Somehow, his overpowering magnetic presence — trust me, this is not easily visible — won her over again, and “He got an agreement out of me to see him again… I wanted to make him happy, I wanted us to work out.”

He misled her about the purpose of the Central Asia trip, she said, but three months after they landed in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Coleman by now pregnant and “really, really scared,” they entered Afghanistan.

Within weeks of arriving back in Canada, they were staying at the Embassy Hotel in Ottawa, and the old familiar cycle began again: verbal abuse, then physical abuse that allegedly included punches, slaps, spanking, choking and even biting.

It was, she said, on Nov. 5, 2017 that Boyle re-created the shower room exile from their captivity.

“You have to go in the shower stall and strip naked so you don’t leave,” she said he told her. He hit her several times on the face, and ordered her to take three of his sleeping pills.

The trial is off Thursday, so her evidence will continue Friday.

She is testifying via closed-circuit TV, with a support person, her aunt, by her side, and is thus spared the presumably hypnotic gaze of her husband.

        • So it was the noble savage myth that got him to try that stupid excuse of a “camping trip”?

Well, basically … yes. Along with the Zero Sum Game, that entire Nobel Savage™ (i.e., 0bama) tommyrot is a major part of why:

  11. Time to Investigate the Washington Post’s Qatari Collusion?
Is WaPo propagandizing for foreign regimes and terrorist organizations?
    March 28, 2019
    Daniel Greenfield

Even as the New Zealand government was condemning the Erdogan regime for using mosque shooting footage in its election rallies, the Washington Post decided to give the Islamist tyrant a platform.

It was the second time in six months that The Post had given Erdogan a platform.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan has prisons full of political dissidents. He has silenced the media and has tortured opponents. His brutal Islamist regime has been described as the world’s biggest jailor of journalists.

It’s been estimated that a third of the world’s imprisoned journalists have been locked up by his regime.

But that didn’t stop the Washington Post from giving the man who has locked up hundreds of journalists a forum to posture about the mysterious death of The Post’s own Qatari lobbyist: Jamal Khashoggi.

“May be” is a long way from “will be”.

Despite the media’s fake news, talent from across the political spectrum was involved in campaign work in Ukraine.

Greg Craig, Obama’s former White House counsel, was involved. As was Tad Devine, Bernie’s chief strategist. And Podesta, the brother of Hillary’s campaign chief. The emphasis on Manafort was political. We’ll see if Craig faces the music for alleged false statements.

  13. UBLIC INFORMATION RELEASE

An unknown assailant recently repeatedly disrupted, harassed and attacked a peaceful, pro-life prayer vigil outside a Planned Parenthood facility in San Francisco.

On March 21, an 85-year-old pro-life advocate participating in a peaceful 40 Days for Life campaign outside a San Francisco Planned Parenthood facility was the victim of a brutal attack when an assailant stole the victim’s banner and proceeded to viciously beat the victim.

The elderly man tried to unsuccessfully stop the theft of the banner by putting a stick into the spokes of the assailant’s bicycle after which the perpetrator shoved the man to the ground and began violently and repeatedly kicking and threatening him.

“40 Days for Life vigils have a 12 year track record of being peaceful. This attack on an 85-year old man – who has been leading the San Francisco campaign for years — by a young aggressor shows that the idea that San Francisco is tolerant is a joke.” Shawn Carney, president and CEO of 40 Days for Life. “We believe every person should be treated with kindness, love and respect, even those with whom we may disagree. That said, over the past few months, we have seen an increase in violence from abortion supporters in an effort to instill fear and deter our law-abiding volunteers.”

  14. California County to Shut Down Immigration Detention Facilities
Orange County bows to intense pressure from the ICE-hating state.
    March 28, 2019
    Matthew Vadum

Under assault by California’s grotesquely unconstitutional so-called sanctuary state laws, the Orange County sheriff’s department announced March 27 that it will cancel its agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to provide immigration detention facilities.

Although hosting ICE detainees can be a profit center for some cash-strapped local governments, leftists across America are hellbent on shutting down prison facilities, especially those that are privately owned or administered. Private and privately-run prisons consistently outperform those that governments maintain.

Attacking government-funded but privately-owned immigration detention facilities marries various factions of the Left in a common subversive enterprise.

Open-borders fanatics get to strike a blow for immigration anarchy and promote the breakdown of law and order. Anti-incarceration activists like those in the violent, cop-hating Black Lives Matter movement get the satisfaction of unleashing lawbreakers on society. And labor leaders get new union members as government facilities have to be expanded to pick up the slack.

  15. A Maltese special operations team boarded a tanker Thursday that had been hijacked by migrants rescued at sea and recaptured control of it before escorting it to a Maltese port. Italy’s hard-line interior minister slammed the migrants as pirates, but aid groups rejected that label, saying the European Union’s policy of sending migrants back to lawless Libya was to blame.

Armed military personnel stood guard on the ship’s deck, and a dozen or so migrants were also visible, as the Turkish oil tanker El Hiblu 1 docked Thursday at Boiler Wharf in the city of Senglea. Five suspected ringleaders were led off in handcuffs.

In all, the Turkish tanker rescued 77 men, 19 women and 12 minors, including toddlers, Malta officials said. One pregnant woman and one child were being treated at a hospital as a precaution.

Authorities in Italy and Malta on Wednesday said the group had hijacked the vessel after it rescued them in the Mediterranean Sea off Libya and forced the crew to put the Libya-bound vessel on a course north toward Europe.

  16. The Great Divide
    Exposing the Left’s divide-and-conquer strategy.
    March 28, 2019
    Lloyd Billingsley

“This president is the first president in the modern history of our country who is trying to divide our people up based on the color of their skin, the country they were born in, their sexual orientation, their gender, their religion. And that is an outrage.”

That was Bernie Sanders, a Democrat candidate for president in 2020, at a CNN town hall event in late February. And as the Vermont Socialist explained, “our job is to bring our people together, not to divide them up.” This was not a new theme for Democrats.

In September of 2018 at the University of Illinois, POTUS 44 accused Trump and Republicans of knowingly dividing America by “appealing to tribe, appealing to fear, pitting one group against another, telling people that order and security will be restored if it weren’t for those who don’t look like us or don’t sound like us or don’t pray like we do.” As the previous president explained, “that’s an old playbook,” and he was right about that.

The greatest divider of modern times was Karl Marx, 1818-1883, author of Manifest der Kommunistischen Parte, the 1848 Communist Manifesto. Marx divided people into “bourgeois” and “proletariat.” In this class system, the bourgeoisie own the means of production, factories, business and so forth, which enable them to produce wealth. The proletariat are the workers, blinded by false consciousness from opiates such as religion. As Marx had it, the bourgeois capitalist bosses exploit the workers and this has been the model for the left ever since.

In the run-up to the Turkey’s local elections on March 31, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has taken his diplomatic brawl with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to a new level, even issuing a veiled threat to Turkey’s 15,000 Jews.

During a rally of supporters on March 13, Erdogan said tauntingly, “Hey Netanyahu, behave yourself. You are a tyrant…who massacred seven-year-old Palestinian children.” Erdo?an went on to refer to the unrest on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem — Judaism’s holiest site, and the location of the Al Aqsa Mosque — by implying that if Israeli soldiers and police continued to “enter our sacred places with their combat boots,” Turkish Jewry would pay a heavy price.

A few days later, at a ceremony commemorating the Battle of Gallipoli, Erdo?an compared Netanyahu’s son, Yair, to the white supremacist who murdered 50 Muslim worshipers in Christchurch, New Zealand the previous week.

“They [Yair Netanyahu and the Christchurch killer] are being fed by the same source, no matter where they are in the world,” Erdo?an said.

The Turkish president also repeated a long-standing falsehood, claiming, “We have never persecuted any Jew here in this country. We have never done to the synagogues the things you do [to mosques]. Do not provoke us.”

  18. The traditional Islamic female head covering known as the hijab could soon be recognized by law as a “hands-free” device for using a mobile phone while driving, if a new bill in the Minnesota Legislature passes.
The hijab is worn to preserve modesty. Typically, it covers the hair and neck, but not the face.

House Bill 50 (HF 50) is officially titled: “Cell phone use prohibited by person operating a vehicle while vehicle is in motion or a part of traffic, traffic stop study required, report required, and money appropriated.”

An amendment to the bill singles out the hijab as a hands-free device, acknowledging that some female Muslim drivers may use their hijabs to hold their mobile phones while (mostly) keeping their hands on the steering wheel (emphasis added):

    Nellie and Bruce Ohr

In December 2017 the head of opposition research firm Fusion GPS admitted in a court filing that his firm paid Nellie Ohr, the wife of senior Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, to help dig up damaging information on then-candidate Donald Trump.

The connections between Nellie Ohr and the ‘Spygate’ scandal were hidden at a distance for months.

Holder appeared on MSNBC on Wednesday and host Ari Melber asked him: “There is a lot of talk about America being a leader as a democracy, quote unquote, in the 1800s when women and African-Americans couldn’t vote. What kind of democracy is that?”

    Kim Foxx
All 16 felony counts against Jussie Smollett were dropped on Tuesday in exchange for a $10,000 bond and some ‘community service’ in a stunning display of lawlessness by corrupt Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx.

Kim Foxx claimed she recused herself from Smollett’s case after it was revealed she was communicating with Jussie Smollett’s relatives about the case shortly after the ‘Empire’ actor staged the hate hoax crime.

Foxx’s office is now admitting the Cook County State’s Attorney never “formally” recused herself from the case legally, rather, they just used the term “colloquially” for public consumption.

  24. The Michelle Obama Staffer Who Helped Get Jussie Smollett Off The Hook Is Also Investigating Racism, Sexism Within The SPLC

Tina Tchen, who was former First Lady Michelle Obama’s chief of staff, has been in the news quite a bit lately, mostly for her role in getting charges dropped against “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett.

While Chicago police were still investigating an alleged hate crime against Smollett and considering him a victim, Tchen reached out to the Cook County State Attorney’s Office asking for the investigation to be handed over to the FBI.

“I wanted to give you a call on behalf of Jussie Smollett and family who I know. They have concerns about the investigation,” Tchen sent in a text message to Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx on February 1.

Foxx emailed Tchen that same day to say, “Spoke to the Superintendent [Eddie] Johnson” and that she had “convinced him to Reach out to FBI to ask that they take over the investigation.”

  25. Did a bit of salt mining today, when I came upon a wild Pepe doing a Gregorian chant in I guess Bulgarian:

    • Surreal! Twenty seconds is all it takes to strip the gears of this world’s preeminent technological engine. The staggering hubris required to entertain controlling an icon of Freedom like the Internet is worthy only of pariah status in civilized society.

Instead, we are treated to the grisly spectacle of these smarmy, sanctimonious, unaccountable EU parasites pretending they are The Betters of those upon whose backs they daily tread. The Culturally Marxist preening, halo polishing, strutting, and virtue signaling going on in Brussels would make even the most hardened KGB propagandist get hard all over again.

This is the Vampire Elite at their finest. The crème de la crème of the crap. A Russian epithet describes this sort of slime as, “one that is scraped off of the sheets with a spoon.”

Perhaps most surreal of all is watching nation after Western nation chug this Kool-Aid™ like frat rats at a kegger.

And, please, nobody fool yourselves about assisted and self-driving technologies. Anti-lock brakes have caused enough deaths due to driver unfamiliarity. Imagine what happens when an extra layer of hesitation or other interruption (i.e., maximum speed intervention and override) is placed between the driver and vehicle.

There will be thousands of driver and pedestrian deaths as this control technology (because that’s all it is) percolates through all levels of society. Once again, 1984 is being used as an operator’s manual.

NOTE: Is it just me or is Dave Cullen, along with Chris Chappell, David Wood, and other Conservative voices getting an edge to them?

Admittedly, they’ve been immersed in a hostile and target-rich environment, but it still seems as though many of these pundits are getting their fill of this Culturally Marxist charade (and showing it around the edges).

      • I think they are reading the signs and getting the same picture we are, they know that the Marxists are the ones causing the coming war.

  26. Richard: The pictures on the Liberty Unyielding page says it all. This is what the left wants to bring to all of our cities and about the only way to stop it is to either turn the police into a military unit to take back control or to turn the US Military loose.Either would regain control of the streets but both have drawbacks. What is more probable is that the police are either pulled out of those neighborhoods or the police quit and move to safer towns. Then eventually the neighboring areas will either fall to the mob or will create their own armed force to fight the mob.

Mob surrounds two cops making drug bust in Chicago, forces them to let perp go, seizes drugs

On the West Side, the street shows no fear of Chicago police

I’d hate it when some old-time police sergeant, usually an old white guy but sometimes black, would stand, hand on hip and sigh.

And in the laconic and bitterly ironic tone of Chicago police, he’d make the big speech of five words:

    “Gonna be a bad summer.”

I’d cringe, because, well, who the hell doesn’t know this?

  27. “Libyan” human traffickers forced boys to rape their sisters, women sexually assaulted until they bleed to death and men’s genitals cut off

Migrants travelling to Europe are being raped and tortured including by forced incest and mutilation, a shocking new study has revealed.
Routine rape and sexual torture throughout their journey to Europe threatens many migrants, especially in Libya, with men facing abuse nearly as regularly as women.
Smugglers torture migrants and film the attacks on Skype to extract ransom money from their families, according to the study carried out by the Women’s Refugee Commission.
One mental health worker described graves filled with men with their penises sliced off – a description corroborated by the account of a survivor of a mass mutilation.
Migrants told similarly horrific stories about rape, forced incest and mass sexual abuse intended to humiliate detainees who had to strip naked and become either rapists themselves or victims.
Men and women are forced to rape others, penises are cut off, boys have to rape their sisters and women are abused and raped until they bleed to death, the report said.

“Four Burkina Faso paramilitary police were killed on Thursday, March 28 in an attack on a base near the border with Mali, a region that sees frequent attacks by jihadists, security sources said.

The base in Barani “was the target of a terrorist attack led by an unidentified armed group at around 5 a.m.,” the source told AFP.

“Students, lined up in schoolyards, are forced to watch videos showing torment, violence and bloodshed on big screens, Hrazi added while calling to shelter the innocence of Yemeni children from the Houthis’ sect-rife ideology.

Shockingly, Houthis have cancelled all sports and art classes and has reshaped curricula in a way designed to aid its agenda and create more cannon fodder to recruit and deploy to battlefronts. All schools in Houthi-run territory, short and simple, have been flooded with and coerced into adopting coup-styled education material.

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has described the Houthis’ takeover of the school education systems as a broad brainwashing scheme conducted on a large-scale with very serious long-term negative impact.

Houthis have gone beyond spreading the group’s ideological schoolbooks and practices to exploit unwitting children into recruitment. Ailed by war and a deteriorated economy, starved Yemeni children are often tempted by Houthi militants offering food aid at a time the country risks free-falling into devastating famine…”

“The US-led coalition said Thursday that more than 1,250 civilians were killed in 34,038 airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq and Syria during a more than four-year period.

The coalition in a statement released the civilian death toll from the period between when the aerial campaign began in August 2014 until February this year.

It comes just days after the US-backed Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces announced it defeated ISIS in the last area it held in Syria in the village of Baghouz near the Iraqi border.

The coalition’s statement said: “We continue to employ thorough and deliberate targeting and strike processes to minimize the impact of our operations on civilian populations and infrastructure.”

It added that the death toll was based on information available to the coalition.”

  33. Canada’s Quebec to ban public servants from wearing hijab (gulfnews, Mar 28, 2019)
    https://gulfnews.com/world/americas/canadas-quebec-to-ban-public-servants-from-wearing-hijab-1.1553812483733

“Montreal: Canada’s Quebec province on Thursday unveiled controversial draft legislation that would ban a significant section of public servants from wearing religious symbols such as a crucifix, yarmulke or hijab.

The measure — which applies to police, teachers and others in positions of authority — is expected to become law by June with Premier Francois Legault’s government holding a majority of seats in the Quebec legislature.

But it was swiftly panned by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who said: “For me, it’s unthinkable (that) a free society would legitimize discrimination against anyone based on religion.”

Teachers unions said they would not enforce the law, while pundits anticipated a court challenge for contravening Canadians’ Charter right to religious freedom.

The Quebec government has already made it clear that it would invoke a rarely-used constitutional clause to quash any rights challenges.

“Some people will find that we are going too far, others not enough, and we are convinced that we have struck the right balance,” Quebec Immigration Minister Simon Jolin-Barrette told a press conference.

The measure — combined with the removal of a cross from the national assembly — underscores the province’s break with religion a half century ago when it rejected the Catholic Church’s powerful influence in local politics.

The bill would also enshrine into law a rule previously adopted by Quebec that denies government services to people who hide behind a veil, reflecting a backlash against Muslim immigration.

Jolin-Barrette argued that the latter is intended to simply bolster safety and security by being able to verify the identity of people accessing government services.

Both measures were promised by Legault during last year’s election campaign after a decade of divisive debate on secularism and religious freedom that was influenced by a similar discourse in France.”

  34. 4 gunmen killed in shootout in Comoros after opposition presidential candidate arrested (ahram, Mar 28, 2019)
    http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/2/9/329023/World/International/-gunmen-killed-in-shootout-in-Comoros-after-opposi.aspx

“Four gunmen were killed on Thursday in a shootout with military near a base in the Comoros capital after an opposition presidential candidate, former military colonel Soilihi Mohamed, was arrested, security and military sources said.

The security source said a group of soldiers who were in Moroni prison, accused of attempting a coup last year, broke out of prison on Thursday morning.

Earlier in the day, gunfire was heard near the main military base in the Comoros capital, hours after opposition candidates announced plans to unseat the president whose re-election this week they reject as fraudulent.

The gunfire prompted the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security to order all its personnel to leave the country.

President Azali Assoumani was declared the winner in Sunday’s election with more than 60 percent of the vote, enough to avoid a second-round run-off. Observers from African monitoring missions have said the election lacked credibility.

The 12 opposition candidates said they had set up a body called the National Transition Council, chaired by one of them, Mohamed Soilihi, to remove Assoumani from office.

“The mission of the National Transitional Council is to resolve the post-election crisis, to ensure a peaceful transition, to preserve peace, stability and national cohesion in our country,” Soilihi said in a statement broadcast on private-owned radio stations and social media platforms.

A diplomatic source said Soilihi was arrested after releasing the statement, and the military camp came under attack shortly afterwards. A Reuters journalist said shooting could be heard at the camp and stopped after about an hour.

“The Union of the Comoros is experiencing gunfire, political unrest, and infrastructure disruptions. US Government personnel have been ordered to depart the country,” the Bureau of Diplomatic Security said in a statement on its website.

In Soilihi’s statement, the opposition candidates set an April 3 deadline for the vote to be invalidated. Otherwise they called for civil disobedience and a general strike from April 4.

Observers from the African Union, the Common Market of Eastern and Southern Africa and the African Standby Forces of the East said the voting process was riddled with irregularities that led them to conclude it lacked credibility or transparency.

Assoumani said on Tuesday that anyone wishing to contest the results should do so via legal means.

“I hope that those that are contesting the results will follow the legal channels and wait for the final results to be announced by the Supreme Court,” he told Reuters.

Authorities shut down a local newspaper, La Gazette, for publishing a story about the proposed transition council.

Assoumani triggered months of protests last year by extending term limits allowing him to stand for another consecutive term.

His decision particularly angered natives of the island of Anjouan who argue that it is their turn to hold the presidency, traditionally rotated among leaders from the three main islands of the Indian Ocean archipelago.

A former army officer, Assoumani has been in and out of office since taking power in a coup in 1999. He has served as president for 10 of the past 20 years, winning elections in 2002 and 2016.

About 60 women leaders who had marched to the Supreme Court to deliver a letter asking it not to validate the election results were dispersed by police and six of them arrested.

They carried banners that denounced the heads of the military, the electoral commission and the supreme court as being “accomplices of a coup d’etat”. “

  35. Amnesty International calls for systemic change to protect Pakistani women (tribune, Mar 28, 2019)
    https://tribune.com.pk/story/1939176/1-amnesty-international-calls-systemic-change-protect-pakistani-women/

“A day after a Lahore woman’s husband thrashed and shave her head for not dancing for him and his friends, Amnesty International South Asia demanded Pakistan to make systemic changes to protect women from violence.

The rights organisation, in a statement, called for strong and swift action be taken against the torturers of Asma Aziz and noted with dismay “the alarming rise in reported cases of violence against women”.

“System change to protect women is necessary,” Amnesty International’s statement read, adding that, action can’t only be taken on a case-by-case basis.

Earlier in the day, Aziz’s husband, along with his aide were sent on a four-day physical remand to police custody.

Both the men were presented before a court in Lahore’s Model Town Kachehri where judicial magistrate Shahid Zia heard the case.

“My husband tortured me when I refused to dance in front of his friend,” the woman informed the court, requesting it to punish her husband.

Police had sought a 10-day physical remand to investigate the matter from the court. However, after hearing the arguments they were given a four-day physical remand.

On March 27, in a video message, Aziz narrated her harrowing ordeal at the hands of her husband.

“He has always beaten me but this time he even shaved my hair off and hit me on the head with a manhole cover,” she said in the video.

Pakistan ranks 150 out of 153 countries on The Georgetown Institute’s Women, Peace and Security index ? among the five worst countries for women in the world.”
