  1. CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago police union’s president alleges that the county’s top prosecutor interfered with the investigation of “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett before recusing herself and wants the Justice Department to determine if she broke any laws.

    WLS-TV in Chicago reports that Fraternal Order of Police President Kevin Graham wrote the Justice Department following reports that Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx asked Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson to let the FBI investigate Smollett’s allegations that he was attacked by two masked men after the former chief of staff to former first lady Michelle Obama informed Foxx that Smollett’s family had concerns about the probe.

  2. A visibly angry Mayor Rahm Emanuel joined Chicago police officers in unloading after the shocking decision to drop charges against Jussie Smollett, who had been indicted for perpetuating a hoax hate crime to advance his acting career, diverting significant police resources.

    “This is a whitewash of justice and sends a clear message that if you’re in a position of influence and power you’ll be treated one way, other people will be treated another way,” Emanuel said in a press conference following the surprising decision by the Cook County state attorney general’s office to drop charges. “There is no accountability then in the system. It is wrong — full stop.”

    Emanuel pulled no punches, even hinting at corruption in the decision, something my colleague Tiana Lowe highlighted earlier. “From top to bottom, this is not on the level,” he said.

    He was also joined by Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson, who last month seethed as he described the investigation against Smollett’s “publicity stunt” that slapped the city in the face.

    “Do I think justice was served?” Johnson asked on Tuesday. “No. What do I think justice is? I think this city is still owed an apology.”

    It’s not very often you see a mayor and a top cop join forces to fume at the decision of a prosecutor.

    Emanuel explained that a grand jury chose to indict Smollett based on “only a sliver” of the evidence police had collected against Smollett, and now, thanks to a judge’s decision, the evidence won’t be made public.

  4. Jusse Smollet is a lying little psychopath with the most punchable face I have ever seen. That impertinent little glint in his eyes is infuriating and now he is going to go around whining about the racial prejudice and the injustice as he makes like he never did nuffin. His lawyer is actually saying that he didn’t commit any hoaxes and that two white men actually attacked him and said, “This is MAGA country”. They’re letting his lies stand. I can’t believe it. Did Michelle Obama personally order this…?

  5. I agree that Kamala Harris (California) is involved. She wanted to get her Anti-Lynching Bill passed and she did succeed after the Smollett hoax. And Smollett attended many of her events, they have very close ties.

    ”PS, In my humble opinion, the Smollett hate crime was planned as part of the Kamala Harris presidential candidacy rollout. Jussie Smollett just did a terrible job at pulling it off and the entire operation went sideways.”

    • It is looks like this is round 2 in the fight by Soros, Obama and the 60 radicals that control Obama in the fight to take the Democrat Party away from the Clintons. To a lesser extent this is the radical left telling the rest of us that they (the radical left) control the United States and we had better shut up and take what the left wants to dish out.

      sundance, I think the timing is VERY suspect. After a weekend of Mueller report panic amongst the left, specifically regarding Obama/Hillary flank being exposed…here comes a message from Obama to his Russian hoax team that he has their back….”We got one hoaxer off, we’ll get you off too.” Just because Foxx recused herself after being contacted and colluding with Michelle Obama’s aide/lawyer doesn’t mean the rest of corrupt Foxx’s staff won’t do Obama’s bidding. Consider this also with the bussing in of House freshmen Democrats to meet with Obama today….he knows they are the most viable driving force for impeachment…and boy does Obama need Trump’s impeachment to help save his treasonous ass. This is total panic on the part of Obama.

  10. My first thought was that the prosecutor was bribed, and this may be part of the reason for the charges dismissed. The other theories may be right or partially so but we will probably never know.

      Quite frankly, before your mentioned it, the thought of bribery hadn’t even bobbed to the surface of this Windy City septic (think) tank.

      Tim Cook’s studied lack of cynicism (i.e., crypto-Leftism) wears noticeably thin with his curious inability to find the 1/4-20 brass tacks on this lowdown countertop.

      Maybe I can rustle him up some Brasso™.

    • Read J.E. Dyrer’s analysis that I posted on the 3/27/19 contributors thread, she hints around that it was a political fix probably done by Soros and the Obama’s. Doesn’t state it flat out but lays out the evidence for this.

      What she doesn’t mention that occurred to me is that this was an action by Soros and Obama against the Clinton Crime Family. It looks like they are moving to take Chicago away from the Clintons and by extension the entire Democrat party.
