Clinton told News 12 Westchester that she’s told every candidate she’s met with so far to not take “anything for granted.”
“People need to understand that in many cases, they were sold a bill of goods,” she said. “We can’t take anything for granted. We have to work really, really hard to make our case to the American people, and I’m gonna do everything I can to help the Democrats win back the White House.”

The self proclaimed elite stole enough power to scare the voters and she is now crying because we aren’t letting her and the others in this group steal more of our freedom.
Of course she is whoring herself to get a cabinet position, with the Dems out of power and no Clinton holding elected office donations to the Clinton Foundation are at an all time low. My libertarian friends object to some of my recent writings — in particular, an essay for First Things proposing a moderate economic nationalism as ‘A New Conservative Agenda.’ The various intellectual factions on the American right are all susceptible to utopianism and dangerously wishful thinking when they dwell too much in their own minds: they all need the benefit of a look through someone else’s eyes once in a while, even to see their own concerns more clearly. In the letter below, I respond to some friends’ objections and summarize — tidily, I hope — a few vital questions to which libertarians offer inadequate answers.
My interlocutors’ major points can be sketched as follows: what’s wrong with America’s economy and politics is the result of over-centralization and de-centralization — turning power back to the states and smaller units — is the necessary remedy. No nationalist program for strengthening manufacturing for the sake of the middle class is workable because the social philosophers Friedrich Hayek and Ludwig von Mises demonstrated that all economic interventions by government involve insufficient knowledge of consumer preferences and specific market circumstances. Economic decisions have to be made by those directly involved in market transactions; an economy is too complex for anyone else to act wisely. (That’s a crude gloss, but it gets the gist.) Rather than worrying about industrial employment and the middle class, what we ought to worry about, my friend characteristically argues, is the national debt and cost of government’s unfunded liabilities, especially entitlements.
Here’s my reply:
I’m sceptical whether any decentralization short of secession would be meaningful for purposes of this discussion, and secession simply produces nationalism for a smaller, weaker unit. Short of secession, you have a financial system, including the Federal Reserve, and a central government whose policies are never going to be a libertarian’s idea of natural or neutral. Pharmaceutical companies, the financial sector, agribusiness, and the administrative class do not seem to have any trouble identifying what their interests are and how they can use federal policy to advance those interests: they don’t suffer from a complexity or knowledge problem. Or to the extent they do, they know what the solution is: bailouts and rent-seeking. Libertarians complain about that, but complaints carry no weight compared to the bottom line. Libertarians prophesy that there will be hell to pay — but exactly who is going to pay, and when does the end come? The people making economic decisions today have a limited time horizon for their concerns and plenty of ability to offload their costs.
It seems to me the timeline for political crisis is shorter than the timeline for economic crisis. Before we reach the point where bailouts and prop-ups are no longer possible — as Adam Smith himself observed, there’s a lot of ruin in a country — there will be a hard left or hard right political turn, or simply a hard turn away from the present dispensation. If I’m wrong about the comparative crisis timelines, I nonetheless foresee a gradual continuing degeneration of our politics and class balance. The urban administrative overclass will continue to grow in power and wealth, the urban and suburban lower class will become increasingly servile (or else restive), and the old middle class and heartland will be economically sidelined and in many places depopulated. I don’t know why libertarians are not more alarmed by this likelihood, unless they believe they will comfortably be among the administrative overclass themselves. Frankly, looking at the class positions that actual high-profile libertarians occupy — the many who are professors are beneficiaries of government largesse toward the education system, whether they are at state or private institutions — they might indeed be serving their self-interest, if not their advertised values, correctly.
If this America without a middle class is more politically stable than I think it will be, I suspect it will nonetheless face insuperable external challenges. China won’t have to fight a war with us; it will just outgrow us. When the differential of power and economic productivity is great enough, China will determine the strategic and economic environment in which we live. The cultural and religious environment will also be strongly influenced, if not determined, by the growth of Islam, particularly if Islam succeeds in dominating sub-Saharan Africa. Europe will have to deal with that to a greater extent than we will, of course.
I’m not sure that Hayek or Mises are the relevant texts for understanding any of this. Does a libertarian even care whether Islam displaces Christianity or China displaces America, as long as there are no tariffs on steel? You might not have freedom of religion or freedom of speech in the post-Western future, and those cheap consumer goods won’t be so cheap any more, but a libertarian will rest content knowing he fought to import as much foreign-subsidized steel as possible. This is why I consider libertarianism to be every bit as much a suicidal ideology as left-liberalism. In some ways it is even more so, as libertarians are more oblivious than left-liberals to the consequences for themselves of hewing to their ideology.
It seems to me that a healthy polity needs a middle class, and a country that is going to remain economically viable for as a long as possible needs to have a commanding advantage in high-end manufacturing and producing goods that the rest of the world wants to buy. We still have some of these advantages right now, but we’re forsaking them. Our country went from being underdeveloped at its founding to being a techno-industrial powerhouse in the 19th and 20th centuries while employing a great many economic policies that libertarians don’t like. We built the largest middle class the world had ever seen. We may not be able to repeat past performance, but we should not overlook the tools that proved useful before. If they think I’m wrong about that, I would hope that libertarians nonetheless take the diagnosis of the problem seriously and speak up about what their alternative is: that is, an alternative to rebuild the middle class or to show why a middle class is unnecessary and an elite-servant-deadweight tripartite class structure is compatible with modern liberty.
Yet I know I’m asking for blood from a stone. Libertarians take for granted the conditions of the 20th century and don’t imagine anything could ever really change. The New Deal from 80 years ago is still the only threat to worry about. If we just cut taxes and de-regulate hair-braiding, the market will take care of the rest. Only it won’t: the market depends on our civilization and our country as much as or more than they depend on it. A country’s way of life can survive its government’s bankruptcy or an upheaval in the private economy; it can’t survive the global transformation that’s coming if we do nothing.
Addendum…this is exactly the same scenario that occurs in a country taken over by socialists or communists. Wealthy people are extremely mobile and have homes across the planet and their wealth is never concentrated. When a takeover occurs they move elsewhere. Some stay and die(especially so in Russia(1917) while in France(1789) many left it too late, not realizing the seriousness of the threat). But now the wealthy flee 100% and it is the middle class who always suffer as they are always patriots and everything they own is in that country and they are punished with kulaks being the prime example. This is why all left or socialist revolutions fail economically as they effectively destroy their tax base and that is even before they start to implement lunatic welfare schemes. I am all for a sensible welfare state( ie, one where welfare goes ONLY to those who deserve it and NOT as a right) but socialist revolutions are inherently national economic suicide always UNLESS subsidized by someone else(Cuba).

What Taxing the Rich Did to Warren and Ocasio Cortez’s States
Tax time is usually an unhappy time for taxpayers, but a joyous time for government employees and the welfare class that gets more in “refunds” than it ever pays in taxes.
But this year, tax time is a depressing time for the taxmasters in the big blue states.
Blue states use high taxes to finance their frivolous spending. But this year, the money just isn’t there even as House and Senate lefties from big blue states tout new plans to soak the rich.
Senator Elizabeth Warren made headlines by building her 2020 campaign around a “wealth tax”.
Warren called it, “the ‘Ultra-Millionaire Tax” and claimed that it only “applies to that tippy top 0.1% – those with a net worth of over $50 million”. That’s convenient because the millionaire class warrior’s own estimated net worth tops out at around $10 million. When millionaires like Elizabeth Warren talk about taxing wealth, they mean the wealth of the millionaires who are wealthier than they are.
But over in Warren’s Taxachusetts, soaking the rich isn’t keeping the blue state model afloat.
Massachusetts experienced a January tax revenue shortfall of $195 million. That’s down 6% from 2018. And January is the cold, snowy month that is meant to account for 10% of the revenues for the year.
December was none too cheerful either.
“While most major categories of revenue continue to perform generally as expected, Massachusetts, like a number of other states, experienced below-benchmark performance in the category of non-withheld income in both December and January, particularly in individual estimated payments,” the head of the Department of Revenue announced.
“As serious as a heart attack,” New York’s Governor Cuomo was much less restrained when discussing New York’s $2.3 billion plus revenue shortfall.
“This is the most serious revenue shock the state has faced in many years,” State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli warned.
“Tax the rich. Tax the rich. Tax the rich. We did that. God forbid the rich leave,” Cuomo groused, noting that the 1% of wealthy tax filers also pay almost half the state’s income taxes. But, after tax reform, many of the rich were fleeing. Florida, with no income tax, was a commonplace destination.
New York lost almost 50,000 people last year. Florida gained over 300,000 people.
“I want to personally welcome anyone escaping high tax states to join the hundreds of thousands of their former neighbors who have already moved to Florida,” Governor Rick Scott announced last year.
“For richer people, your tax liability could have gone up now $100-, $200-, $300,000,” Governor Cuomo whined. “And there is a tipping point where people say, ‘I love New York, but to spend another $300,000 in taxes? I’ll move.’”
In the Occupy Wall Street era, Mayor Bloomberg had warned about the danger of tax hikes. “One percent of the households that file in this city pay something like 50% of the taxes. In the city, that’s something like 40,000 people. If a handful left, any raise would make it revenue neutral.”
His successor, Mayor Bill de Blasio, is a lazy Marxist and clueless about economics. “Brothers and sisters, there’s plenty of money in the world,” he declared in his State of the City address. “There’s plenty of money in this city. It’s just in the wrong hands.”
The ‘wrong hands’ being any hands other than his pudgy manicured fingertips.
These days he’s singing a different tune.
In February, a doleful De Blasio declared that the city expects to see $935 million less in income tax revenue. That 7% drop is going to make New York City’s $92 billion budget, up $3 billion since last year, a lot more challenging. And, for the first time ever, he demanded that city agencies cut three-quarters of a billion, even as he doubled down on welfare to polish his progressive image for a presidential run.
“We have some tough choices up ahead,” he warned.
Sorry, “brothers and sisters”, suddenly there wasn’t “plenty of money in the city” anymore.
Is Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who made headlines with a 70% tax rate, paying attention to her own backyard? And by that, I don’t mean New York City. The fake “Girl from the Bronx” is actually from one of the wealthiest suburbs in the country with the highest property taxes in the country. Westchester took a downgrade from its AAA rating back in the fall. Another downgrade may hit it within two years.
Home prices are falling as tax reform is hammering Westchester’s deeply flawed economic strategy. And the flawed blue state economic strategy of tax happy enclaves around the country.
New Jersey’s Department of the Treasury noted a 35% tax revenue fall. California State Controller Betty Yee reported a $2.5 billion revenue shortfall. Tax reform is in the wind. And it’s blowing away the blues.
The blue state model hollowed out the greatest cities in America by making them unlivable for the middle class. High taxes in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and countless other cities have turned them into enclaves in which you either need to be rich or on welfare to be able to live in them. And that has made the blue state model precariously dependent on a small and very wealthy tax base.
Lefty politicians solve everything by spending more money and raising taxes on the wealthy. Tax reform made that an unsustainable strategy because, suddenly, red state taxpayers weren’t covering blue state tax bills. And that revealed just how hollow and vulnerable the blue state economic model really is.
When you don’t have a middle class, then the tax burden falls on a very small and mobile population. Unlike the middle class, which is tethered more tightly to jobs and single homes, the sorts of people that progressives are obsessed with taxing are a less stable tax base because they are fewer and freer.
The flip side of class warfare is that your targets can fight back by leaving and leaving you with nothing.
Senator Elizabeth Warren and other blue staters want to take the same failed model nationwide. Their fantasies of a massive national tax hike try to escape the limitations of tax reform by imposing taxes that no one can escape by moving to Florida. Lefties love telling us that we should learn from Europe.
It’s a pity that they never do.
France tried out a tax on the ‘super-rich’. And they packed up and left. The failed state which has the highest tax rates in the modern world is losing its tax base. 10,000 millionaires left France in 2015. 6% of Parisian millionaires got out. 12,000 millionaires left in 2016. Many moved to the US and to the UK.
Socialists, as Britain’s Margaret Thatcher had observed, “always run out of other people’s money.”

It is a much safer bet to state that the race between a political and an economic crisis will assuredly cross the finish line at the same time, and when this occurs we will not be able to distinguish between the two.

The economic crisis on both sides of the world have triggered political crisis’ solving the political problem (freedom v slavery) would go a lon g way to solving the economic but if the economic collapse is far enough along nothing will stop it. For that matter if it is far enough along all of the political attempts to manage the economy will make the problem worse. Look at the Great Depression and the Great Recession. In both cases leftist attempts at command driven solutions (massive government spending and in the latter printing massive amounts of money) caused the problems to grow and lengthen. In both cases once the simple solution of cutting taxes was applied the economic problems were solved and the US economic bounced back.
In all cases any economic collapse is a function of the ongoing politics currently being driven at full speed. Whether one falls before the other ignores the due cause: always politics.. Years ago I read an article that showed who actually made money out of the 1929 depression and that it was designed to open the door to socialism in the USA and elsewhere: which it well and truly did. I see no difference here.

Yeah there is a lot of truth to that. And entire branches of formal Judaism, various reform temple umbrella orgs are fully socialist, this is also true.
But its also true that many Christian Churches are fully socialist. The Unitarian, the Catholic (Pope Francis for sure and he is trying to move Church policy that way).
Socialism requires people to use any identity they have that is not white straight male to weaponize itself and focus itself against Western civilization. So we notice Jews doing that, and there are a lot, more than we notice the equal or geater number of Jews that in fact are extremely pro-West and work triple shifts for it and nearly always without waving their victim-group identity card around.
When i run into people who complain about Jewish Marxists I ask how they feel about ANTIFA which is near 100% white male, or the Fabian Society which has a nearly, no ‘Jews allowed’, policy.

Living under the constant threat of airstrikes as well as a crippling blockade by the Saudi coalition has forced Yemen’s Resistance to build its burgeoning domestic military capability, as hope wanes that the Saudi-led attacks, which have killed and injured thousands of civilians since the coalition began its war in March 2015.
Yemen’s army has also produced four domestically-manufactured drones — the Qasef-1 (Striker-1), the Hudhud-1 (Hoopoe-1), the Raqib (Observer), and the Rased (Surveyor) — all of which perform a variety of tasks, including aerial surveillance, battlefield observation, and geophysical surveying.
Despite the strict blockade imposed by Riyadh and supported by Washington, Saudi Arabia and its coalition allies blame Iran for providing Ansar Allah (Houthis) with their ballistic missile arsenal, the Houthis reject claims that Iran smuggles missiles into Yemen, countering that Yemen`s military develops and manufactures the missiles based on Russian and North Korean technology.
Yet the Houthis have managed to launch dozens of them at Saudi Arabia throughout the war, including just outside the holy city of Mecca some 600km (370 miles) north of the country.
Seized by the Houthis from , Yemen’s missiles were amassed over the course of decades in legal acquisitions from the Soviet Union and North Korea, It was developed by Yemeni hands.
The Houthis have upgraded some missiles to maximize their range, and their technical savvy in local manufacture of smaller rockets and several deadly launches may suggest, military analysts say.
A Tochka Yemeni ballistic missile attack last September killed more than 60 Emirati, Saudi and Bahraini troops outside the central city of Marib and another killed the Saudi intelligence chief for Yemen and a senior Emirati officer in the southwest.
Yemeni army forces, backed by allied fighters from Popular Committees, have hit a military camps in Saudi Arabia’s regions with a number of domestically-manufactured high-precision ballistic missiles in retaliation for the kingdom’s campaign of military aggression against the impoverished nation.
Saudi Arabia’s has accused Iran of “direct military aggression” by supplying missiles to Houthi rebels in Yemen, raising the stakes in an already tense standoff between the two regional rivals. Mohammed bin Salman linked Tehran to the launch of a ballistic missile fired from Yemen towards the international airport in the Saudi capital of Riyadh and other places.
Iran has called Riyadh’s accusations as baseless and provocative.
The spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, Brigadier General Ahmed Asseri, said it lacked evidence of a Hezbollah link to those attacks but believed the Houthis receive their help.
“We have information that there are Lebanese working with the (Houthi) belonging to Hezbollah … We know they are there, we know they help them renew and maintain the missiles,” Asseri told Reuters.
Brigadier General Sharaf Luqman, a spokesman for Yemen’s pro-Houthi military, denied in a statement this month that their forces had ever received Iranian aid.
Iran and Hezbollah have also strongly denied aiding them.
Houthi missiles have also rattled shipping passing through the Bab al-Mandeb strait, Arabic for “Gate of Tears”, on the Red Sea, the group fired a conventional ship missile at an Emirati military craft on Oct. 1 and a ballistic missile a week later at pro-government forces on tiny Mayun Island sitting astride the 25.6-km-wide (16-mile) waterway’s narrowest point.
“It’s an extremely worrying sign, and the technology used from small speed boats to the missiles shows imitation, at the very least, of naval patterns Yemen has used in the Gulf,” said one diplomat, who declined to be identified.
A statement approved by all 15 council members “also expressed alarm at the stated intention of the Houthis to continue these attacks against Saudi Arabia, as well as to launch additional attacks against other states in the region.”
The Security Council also called for implementation of an arms embargo on the Houthis and called on the parties in Yemen to start negotiating a political settlement.
It was more than once in as many months that Yemeni army projectile had reached as far inside the kingdom as Riyadh.
The statement from the US-backed coalition, carried by Saudi state TV, said the missile was fired by the Houthis.
Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdul-Salam tweeted that a ballistic “Borkan H-2” missile was used in the attack, the Hothis’ military media said the missile targeted “an expanded meeting of the Saudi top leadership at Yamama palace in Riyadh.”
In a televised address, leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said the range of missiles in the Houthi arsenal was being extended. “Our long hand will reach other places, God willing,” he said.
“As long as you continue to target Sanaa we will strike Riyadh and Abu Dhabi,” he said.
Earlier , the Houthis confirmed they fired a missile at an under-construction nuclear plant in the Emirates, the UAE denied the claim.
On November 4, the Houthis targeted Saudi Arabia’s international airport in Riyadh, and Saudi Air Defense said it was intercepted. However, a New York Times analysis of photos and videos from the attack suggested air defenses may have missed the projectile and that the warhead struck near its intended target.
Saudi Arabia has the US-made Patriot surface-to-air anti-missile system, which President Donald Trump credited for bringing the November 4 missile down.
In the almost three years that the Saudi-led coalition has waged war with Yemenis, dozens of other missiles have been fired by the Houthis across the border into Saudi Arabia, reaching as far as some border towns, there have been casualties among local residents in those attacks.
Mahdi al Mashad, President of the Supreme Political Council, the highest political authority in Sana’a, said during a visit to the military manufacturing department of the Yemeni defense minister, that more smart missile systems would soon be revealed, promising that they would “change the map” of the Saudi-led coalition’s war on Yemen.
For its part, the Yemeni Rocketry Force said that the Saudi-led coalition had pushed its units to acquire smart missile technology and manufacture and develop other ballistic missiles, adding: The continued support of the West to the coalition, especially the Americans, and their disregard for the suffering of the Yemenis will drive us to manufacture and possess more sophisticated weapons to protect our people.””

“A prominent Dubai bank is warning that non-oil companies across the United Arab Emirates have cut staff at their sharpest rate in nearly a decade amid an economic slowdown.
Emirates NBD, which is majority owned by Dubai’s government, issued the report on Tuesday.
It relied on data from some 400 private sector companies outside of the UAE’s oil economy, which includes the nation’s manufacturing, services, construction and retail sectors.

“A music video mocking jihadists and Daesh* has caused strong reactions among the Swedish public. The flood of angry comments and threats has prompted national broadcaster SVT to remove the video from Instagram.
A satirical video about Swedish citizens who have joined Daesh by the humour program Svenska Nyheter (“Swedish News”) run by comedian Jesper Rönndahl has triggered mixed reactions.
In the hip-hop clip that combines real footage with rapping in mock accent, comedians joke about Islamists motives for going to Syria, such as lacking wi-fi or a recreation centre, and their homesickness when the “caliphate” lost its influence in most of the Middle East.
“My mother told me, ‘Mohammed, you have to integrate’ // I responded, mother, I’d rather f****g detonate”, the protagonist with a fake beard and a turban raps about his dream of becoming a “f*****g IS-traveller”.
“Now send food and clean underwear”, a “repentant” terrorist raps later on, culminating with the chorus “Sweden should have fallen for Allah, but something went wrong”.
The clip also takes a swing at Swedish politicians’ notoriously lax attitude towards radical Islamists and includes lines such as “I phoned Gustav Fridolin and demanded: Gimme cash // I need a cultural benefit to be able to join Daesh”. Fridolin is Sweden’s former Education Minister from the Green Party.
The video also includes footage of former Culture and Immigration Minister Birgit Friggebo from the 1990s trying to get an immigrant crowd to sing “We Shall Overcome”, which was considered a major embarrassment.
However, when SVT posted the video on social media, its channels were overwhelmed with comments. On Instagram, the broadcaster had to turn off the comments after the comments section “degenerated into verbal attacks”. The video was later removed from Instagram altogether.
“SVT is able to handle criticism, but we cannot have our followers be tramped upon in the commends field. If SVT cannot offer an environment for constructive dialogue, then we consider it a better option to close the comments field”, the broadcaster wrote as quoted by the news outlet Nyheter Idag.
According to screenshots by a user, reactions on Instagram included open abuse such as “f*****g sons of b****s” and death threats.
“The fact that such types became triggered is a sign that ‘Swedish news’ hit the right stop with its Daesh satire”, he ventured.
SVT’s Facebook page, was also overwhelmed by reactions, receiving some 900 comments. There, the reactions were somewhat more restrained, but many viewers voiced criticism nonetheless.
“One can joke about [Daesh], but not in such a tasteless way”, was a common theme of reproach, while many argued that SVT was wrong to link Daesh with Islam. SVT was also accused of “de-humanising people from the suburbs by claiming that their main ambition is to become a terrorist”, as well as spreading “racist stereotypes”.
At the same time, many viewers were totally happy with SVT’s performance.
“Well done, SVT! The fact that people are laughing at this shows just how accurate the video was. Then the fact that some Swedish snowflakes are seriously upset by poking fun at [Daesh] is beyond my understanding. Still, keep up the good work” a user cheered.
“Lay off, all you easily offended types. No normal person should be offended if you make fun of [Daesh]. You can make fun of KKK too, and as a Christian I won’t be upset at all”, another one commented.
“Very brave of you to make fun of Daesh, considering Jyllands-Posten, Lars Vilks & co. Well done, but the price can be high”, a user praised SVT, recalling the Muhammad cartoons controversy in 2006, which still lingers on after more than a decade.
Over the past weeks, the debate over what to do with about 100 jihadists with Swedish citizenship who are now stuck in the Middle East has been raging in the Scandinavian country. Polarising opinions have been voiced, from prosecuting them in Sweden or arranging a Nürnberg-style international tribunal in the Middle East to taking them back for rehabilitation. Sweden’s mainstream media, including SVT, has run several stories of “remorseful” terrorists or marooned Daesh brides or widows with children.
“Swedish news” is no novice to controversy. In 2018, Jesper Rönndahl sparked international outrage by running a segment on mock “toilet rules”, imploring Chinese tourists to stop defecating in public. In response, Beijing accused Rönndahl of fuelling racism and xenophobia and demanded an apology.

WASHINGTON — Emboldened by their new majority, Democrats are undertaking several broad new investigations into President Donald Trump and setting the stage for a post-Robert Mueller world.

By J.E. Dyer March 5, 2019I’ve said it before. To understand what Trump’s priorities are, and what he intends and what he will do, you have to listen to him. He doesn’t speak in the traditional language of diplomacy or national security, and it’s clear those aren’t native tongues for him. But he does speak clearly and intelligibly. He’s rarely hard to follow.
I think it’s the implications of what he says, more than the words themselves, that get his host of critics on these matters tied up in knots. They seem to think Trump doesn’t understand the implications he’s often invoking.
I’ve concluded the opposite. Whatever the specific case, Trump understands the implications before he even utters words in public about it. It’s his critics who are flummoxed, startled, unable to process the reality that Trump has moved on to a new set of assumptions. (And I realize that that is jarring for people. This unintentionally hilarious article at Politico lays out in laborious detail just how jarring, with its chronicle of National Security Council staffers in 2017 crying over Disney tunes because the president wasn’t submitting himself to the interagency process they were familiar with. You want to stroke their heads and tell them – all of them who are too young and have no frame of reference – that you have to go all the way back to the Clinton administration to find an NSC so discombobulated by a new president’s national security team. George H.W. Bush had run an admirably tight ship.)

This one is well worth reading, she takes on the Trump critics and points out what Trump is doing and how to interrupt his statements wo we can understand what he is saying. One good example is his saying he is gong off script, what he is saying is not that he has thrown away the script of his speech (although he does that on a regular basis) but that he is thinking outside the bureaucratic box. He has taken a good hard look at what is happening and has decided to step outside the “box” shift around and look at what has changed since the box was created.
A he states in his speech this is how he got elected, he looked at what was happening in the US from the perspective of a businessman who is used to getting things done. instead of the perspective of a politician or bureaucrat. Looking at it from this different starting point means that he will recognize ways to change things for the better that are invisible to the politicians and bureaucrats.
He has been doing this with the economic policy and with the National Security police, the long term thought pattern in DC is etched in stone and isn’t easily changed. This is true even when we need to change our way of thinking and acting because world events have moved to positions where our old policies are no longer desirable or at times even necessary. As she points out who seriously believes that North Korea, China or Russia are going to launch a ground attack o n South Korea or a missile attack on Japan? Since the 1950s our policies in Korea have been based on the ground attack scenario, a scenario that is really a very low probability.
We are now shifting our policies to reflect the new reality in the Far East, a reality that has a war with China as a strong probability. A strong enough probability that Russia is shifting military forces to protect the Islands that they stole from Japan at the end of WWII. Granted the possibility of war with China are lower now then if Hillary had won but it is still a on the table as China sinks further and further into economic collapse. This requires a massive shift in the thinking and actions about our National Security policy nad actions in the Far East.

The source of the above claim is Lynne Patton, a HUD area chief appointed by Donald Trump. Patton’s name was in the news for an unrelated matter this week after far-left Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) accused her of being a “token” black following her appearance at Michael Cohen’s congressional hearing. Tlaib also called Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), who brought Patton to the hearings, a racist for doing, claiming:
Patton defended herself, telling reporters, “I am not a prop. The only prop in that room is Michael Cohen for the Democratic party: Michael Cohen is going to jail.”
Patton ‘s disenchantment with Cohen is understandable, judging from a lengthy Facebook message she posted on Jan. 18 in which she notes feeling betrayed by her long-time friend and mentor.
In the post, she also noted more explosively:

On Sunday, the Democrats went all in on their fixation with nailing Donald Trump on something — anything — that would justify bringing articles of impeachment.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler took center stage on ABC’s “This Week,” announcing that his committee would be sending out over 80 demands for documents from people people and institutions affiliated with Trump with an eye toward gathering evidence of possible obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power charges. Nadler even offered “proof” of the obstruction of justice charge in Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey and his referring to the Mueller investigation as a “witch hunt.”
Democratic Sen. Mark Warner also made the rounds of Sunday programs, appearing on both CNN’s “State of the Union” and NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Warner varied his message slightly, telling CNN host Jake Tapper that there’s “plenty of evidence” that President Donald Trump collaborated with Russia, while later asserting on NBC that “there’s no one that could factually say there’s not plenty of evidence of collaboration or communications between Trump Organization and Russians.”

FEC complaint: AOC aide diverted $1m in PAC funds to his own companies in ‘really weird’ scheme

This isn’t the first complaint involving the campaign of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. But so far, it involves by far the most money.
At the end of February, an earlier complaint was filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) alleging that Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign had funneled more than $6,000 to her boyfriend, Riley Roberts, using the campaign-connected Brand New Congress PAC and a separate company run by Saikat Chakrabarti, who is now AOC’s chief of staff.
A new complaint, filed on Monday (March 4), alleges that Chakrabarti used the same PAC and LLC, plus two others, to divert money donated to the PACs into a slush fund – to the tune of over $1 million.
Experts in campaign finance advised the filing group, the National Legal and Policy Center, that the arrangement basically seemed to have the hallmarks of a slush fund.

All the packages were A4-sized white postal bags containing yellow jiffy bags, and appeared capable of igniting a small fire when opened, police said. Nobody has been injured in the incidents, police added.
In a statement, Scotland Yard said: “The Met Police Counter Terrorism Command has launched an investigation after three suspicious packages were received at buildings in London today, Tuesday, 5 March.
“The packages – all A4-sized white postal bags containing yellow Jiffy bags – have been assessed by specialist officers to be small improvised explosive devices.
“These devices, at this early stage of the investigation, appear capable of igniting an initially small fire when opened.

Officers received a report of a suspicious package at The Compass Centre, a building near the Heathrow Airport boundary, just before 10am.
Scotland Yard said: “The package was opened by staff at the building, causing the device to initiate. This resulted in part of the package burning.
“No one was injured. The building was evacuated as a precaution. Specialist officers attended and made the device safe.
“The building remains closed as enquiries continue. The building is not based at Heathrow Airport, and flights have not been effected by this incident.”
British Transport Police were then called to reports of a suspicious package in the post room at Waterloo Station at 11:40am.
The package was not opened and specialist officers again made the device safe.
Scotland Yard confirmed the station wasn’t evacuated but cordons are in place at a small area on Cab Road, with train services continuing to run as normal.
London Waterloo is the busiest station in the UK, with 94million customers in 2017/18.
Police were also called to a report of a suspicious package at City Aviation House at London City Airport at 12.15pm.
The package was not opened, while a statement from the airport said around 100 staff were evacuated from the building as a precaution.
Aviation House, which reopened just after 4pm, is just a two-minute walk from the passenger terminal at London City Airport.
Docklands Light Railway (DLR) services to the airport were suspended but are now fully operational.

“A report from Norwegian media has revealed that over the last year, around 70 percent of those convicted for violent crimes in Oslo have been immigrants.
Oslo courts have seen a total of 140 individuals convicted of violent crimes and then sentenced in the last year. Two out of three of those convicts have been revealed to be migrants, Norwegian broadcaster TV2 reports.
According to Statistics Norway, the number of immigrants as a part of the total population of Oslo is 33 percent, meaning that in violent crime, immigrants are vastly overrepresented.
The 140 convictions have involved incidents including assaults with weapons such as knives and some of the victims have been left with life-changing injuries.
Researcher Ragnhild Bjørnebekk said that the statistics on migrant crime were unsurprising.
“They are more vulnerable, they have experienced more trauma. Some of them come from violent cultures, and they take it with them. And then there are some of those who are not Oslo residents, who come from other countries and only stay here for a few months,” he said.
Some have blamed the immigration policies and local politicians in Oslo such as City councillor Raymond Johansen who replied to criticisms saying, “We have integration challenges in Norway, but we must look at more than the crime statistics.”
“Immigrant girls do well in higher education. So there we can turn it around and ask why it goes so well with the integration in Norway,” he added.
The Oslo figures mirror those of several other countries including Italy where migrants are believed to account for suspects in one in three crimes nationwide.
Other European countries have seen even higher rates of migrant-background criminality.
In the Austrian capital of Vienna, migrants are suspects in over half of the crimes in the city, while in the German capital of Berlin they are just under half of all suspects. The total migrant population in both cities is less than half.”

I don’t think so, and neither do many parents who have contacted me. That’s why I sponsored LD 589, proposed legislation directing the state board of education to draft a Code of Ethics for K-12 teachers.
Simply put, the Code of Ethics would forbid teachers from endorsing candidates as part of their classroom instruction, from introducing controversial material not germane to the subject being taught, and generally from using their classrooms as bully pulpits for political, social or religious advocacy. The bill I sponsored is based on model legislation drafted by the David Horowitz Freedom Center.

NYPD Reports Drastic Increase in Murders and Rapes in 2019
Murders and rapes are soaring in New York City in 2019, despite an overall lower crime rate.
The NYPD is reporting that during the first two months of 2019, murders and rapes increased drastically in all five city boroughs.

According to the NYPD’s weekly CompStat reports, 51 murders were reported through Feb. 24 – a staggering 50-percent increase from the same point last year.
Authorities are reporting a 23.6 percent increase in rapes in 2019. There have been 267 cases reported through Feb. 24, with 31 coming in just a seven-day period from Feb. 18-24.
Sex crimes in the city have skyrocketed–from 459 in 2018 to 580 through the same time period in 2019–a 26 percent increase.

In recent months, even as a majority of the politicians in Britain’s two major parties have seemed to be doing everything they can to cancel or water down the EU exit for which the British people voted, the same establishment has been striving to stifle, and if possible destroy, the man who, more than anyone else in the country, articulates the rage and fear and hope of the British working class – and of no small number of middle-class Brits as well.
For years, British authorities have harassed, threatened, and imprisoned him, their objective plainly being to scare him into silence. Last summer they engineered an unjustified arrest, rushed him through a mockery of a trial, and shipped him off to prison, obviously hoping he wouldn’t come out alive.
Meanwhile, Britain’s mainstream media have demonized him, all of them singing from the same hymnal. Almost invariably, they prefix his name with the words “far-right.” Of course he is far from the only prominent figure in the Western world to be libeled in this way. You can be a liberal in pretty much every way, but if you are so consistent in your liberalism as to be a critic of the appalling illiberalism of Islam, then you are, in the lexicon of the mainstream media, “far-right.”
He’s also routinely identified as the founder of the English Defense League (EDL). Often this is combined with the term “far-right,” as in “founder of the far-right English Defense League” or “far-right founder of the English Defense League.” Very rarely is it mentioned in the mainstream media that he left the EDL years ago precisely because it was turning into a far-right organization and he didn’t want to have anything more to do with it.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Sesame Street) has delivered yet another statement that bespeaks the progressives’ chronic myopia. This time she’s pondering the dilemma about whether or not it’s “still okay to have children,” given the apocalyptic future being created by climate change. The point has nothing to do with demography, as birth-rates in the U.S. are already starting to decline. The real point, of course, is to rouse the old progressive battle-cry of a “crisis” that “urgently” needs resolving, mainly by increasing the power and rapacity of bloated federal agencies and their growth-killing regulations.
The solution championed by the warmists comprises various schemes to drastically reduce or eliminate energy derived from carbon. But everyone admits that the reductions, even if achieved, would not be enough to stop the alleged catastrophic warming, but would certainly devastate the economy. Meanwhile, the real solutions for progressives to get what they want lies with the free market that increases global wealth.
The scandal of alarmist climate change, of course, is that the policy prescriptions are useless for slowing warming. As environmentalist Bjorn Lomborg, who believes in human-induced global warming, writes,

Stabbing of guards at French prison treated as terror attack
PARIS — French anti-terror prosecutors are investigating a knife attack by a prison inmate that injured two guards in western France.
Justice Minister Nicole Belloubet said the prisoner’s wife was visiting him Tuesday and he locked himself in a visiting room after stabbing the guards with a ceramic knife. She says the guards’ injuries are not life-threatening and no hostages were taken.
Belloubet says “there’s no doubt about the terrorist nature of the attack” at the Conde-sur-Sarthe prison.
The Justice Ministry said the inmate had convictions for kidnapping leading to death, armed robbery and glorifying terrorism.
Local media say the inmate was known as a radicalized Islamist. They say he was sentenced in 2015 to a 30-year prison term for the murder of an 89-year-old man who had survived Nazi concentration camps.

The inmate “is still holed up” in the prison facility where his partner was visiting him at the time, she added early Tuesday afternoon.
Regional and elite police units have been dispatched to the high-security prison in Conde-sur-Sarthe in Normandy, officials said.
The 27-year-old inmate, Michael Chiolo, is thought to have become a “radicalised” Islamist while in prison and shouted “Allahu Akhbar” (God is Greatest) during his rampage in the family-visiting area of the facility, prison staff representative Alassanne Sall told AFP.
France has suffered a series of attacks from Islamist extremists since 2015 and is on high alert amid concerns about the return of Islamic State group jihadists from Syria.
The latest violence comes as prison staff nationwide, who have been demanding better working conditions, have repeatedly staged protests on Tuesdays.
In January 2018, prison staff held three weeks of protests after a guard was attacked by a jihadist inmate at a high-security jail in northern France.
Experts and trade unions have consistently raised the alarm about the spread of extremism in French prisons, leading the government to build special facilities to house dangerous individuals who are sometimes held in solitary confinement.
‘BLOOD EVERYWHERE’
Chiolo was armed with a ceramic knife on Tuesday and police are investigating if his partner gave him the weapon, the minister said.
“It was truly a murder attempt. There was blood everywhere. The family-visiting unit was a battle scene,” said Sall, from the Force Ouvriere trade union.

The prisoner is serving a 30-year sentence for kidnapping leading to a death, armed robbery and condoning terrorism.
He and an accomplice were sentenced on appeal in 2015 for choking to death an 89-year-old man they had tied up while robbing his home.
He was also sentenced to a year in jail – when already in prison – for asking fellow inmates to “re-enact” an attack by Islamic State gunmen on the Bataclan concert hall in Paris in November 2015.
The jihadists, armed wearing explosive belts and carrying assault rifles, killed 90 people in the concert hall, one of several venues attacked on the same day in and around Paris.
“After Paris, I would have carried on in other parts of the country,” he reportedly told another inmate, according to prison staff.
The Conde-sur-Sarthe prison is one of the most secure French prisons and does not suffer from overcrowding, unlike other facilities, according to Belloubet.
But despite having been identified as an extremist, Chiolo was not housed in a secure wing for radicalised inmates which was opened in September, she added.
The inmate’s lawyer, Pauline Brion, said he had met his partner while in prison and that he intended to marry her.
“He had written to someone after converting (to Islam) for them to find him a wife,” the lawyer told AFP.

The pregnant wife of a radicalised inmate who helped her husband stab two officers during a ‘conjugal visit’ to a French prison was shot dead by anti-terror police tonight.
Michael Chiolo, the 27-year-old jihadi who carried out the original bloodbath at the high security Alencon-Conde-sur-Sarthe facility, in Normandy, was severely wounded before being captured.
He and his late wife, who has not been named, had locked themselves inside the ‘family facility’ of the prison after attacking two supervisors on Tuesday morning while shouting ‘Alluhu Akbar’ – Arabic for ‘God is the Greatest’.
Despite being described by a judge as a ‘psychopath’ before being handed a 30-year-sentence in 2014 for murdering a Holocaust survivor, Chiolo had been granted regular family visits.
Describing today’s original drama, French Justice Minister Nicole Belloubet said: “The terrorist nature of this attack isn’t in doubt.
“The antiterrorist section of the public prosecutor’s office of Paris is involved in the incident, which is ongoing.”
Ms Belloubet said the inmate’s wife ‘feigned illness’ at around 9.45am, leading to two prison officers arriving in a room in the family unit, which is designed to give couples privacy during visiting hours.
It was then that the inmate lashed out with his knife, wounding one man in the chest, and the other in the back and face. Both have since been treated and neither is in a life-threating condition.
The wife is thought to have smuggled a ceramic knife into the prison, and there were also fears that explosives may also have been made available to her husband.
After the attack, the couple remained in the family unit, and at around 6pm RAID anti-terrorist police stormed their locked room.
A prison source said: “There were explosions, and gun shots, and then the husband was wounded but arrested.
“His wife died from gunfire wounds, however.”
Chiolo, a convert to Islam, had been sentenced to 28 years for kidnapping, torturing and finally killing an 89-year-old Jewish survivor of the Nazi concentration camps.
Chiolo and two other men ended the life of Roger Tarall during a burglary at Montigny-les-Metz, close to the German border in eastern France, in April 2012.
Roger Tarall had been arrested by the Gestapo and deported to Dachau during the Second World War, but survived the notorious camp near Munich.
Chiolo’s wife was pregnant – meaning she is unlikely to have been searched as rigorously as other inmates when she went to visit him today.
French prison officials have often complained about the ease with which visitors get ceramic knives through metal detectors.
It was during an appeal hearing in 2014 that a judge called Chiolo a ‘psychopath’, and soon afterwards he was given another year in prison for asking his fellow inmates in Mulhouse to ‘recreate the Bataclan attack.’
This was a reference to the November 2015 attack on the Bataclan music venue in Paris, when 89 people were murdered in cold blood by gunman affiliated to Islamic State.
Knife attacks have also been a common tactic used by France-born Islamic State operatives carrying out attacks in France since 2015.

Clapper denied lying to Congress in 2013, explaining he “simply just didn’t understand the question” he was asked.

If a movie was made about genuine human evolving the characters would have far less filmable abilities and would not fit into the Hollywood CGI action slot. I agree about the movie heroines but I am sorry if the women that you know are only like that. I would suggest broadening your horizons a little WRT such and looking for some better ones. As a point o interest, in the book on evolutionary psychology, The Moral Animal, a study, one that was actually done using proper methodology, showed that men overwhelmingly picked intelligence in women as a key trait for a woman they would marry. It is women that men with to have a brief physical encounter with where they rank intelligence low on the desirability scale. Which, for those of us that believe in Darwinian evolutionary theory, would mean that a society that protects marriage as an institution will generally produce smarter women.

Both these books seem to be about evolutionary psychology or behaviourism, and both are very informative. The Moral Animal focuses on mate selection almost entirely actually. Even in some rather stunning detail like sperm count under various conditions and what influences it in the environment.
Also both books to one degree or another, and to varying degrees of overtness, also detail how socialist thought has corrupted real science. Which is why I got them.
So all this to say, I cannot remember the details which would answer your question, but I recommend the source material.

Evolutionary biology was my initial aim but Arthur Koestler’s Act of Creation and not a few other authors diverted me.
