Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We muse use it while we can.

    “Migrants who are set to be deported often resort to all kind of measures to remain in the country. Many simply go into hiding, while others attempt to use other more creative tactics. A spokesperson for the German Interior Ministry spoke to Sputnik about the unsatisfactory situation regarding the deportation of illegal migrants.

    On Sunday, Der Spiegel, citing an internal police document, reported that Germany couldn’t deport more than half of illegal migrants in the country.

    Only 27,000 migrants out of 57,000 left Germany in 2018. As German Interior Ministry spokesman Steve Alter confirmed to Sputnik, in most cases travel documents are missing or the deportees evade the authorities and therefore cannot be handed over to the Federal Police for repatriation. The foreigners are required to obtain a passport or a replacement passport themselves, but often don’t do so.

    In 7,849 cases last year, deportation failed in Germany because the police simply couldn’t find the deportee in time. To tackle this, authorities are now detaining some migrants ahead of their scheduled deportation.

    While Austria succeeds with deporting migrants through coercive measures, in Germany the formal requirements for grounds for detention remain very strict and overtax the authorities. According to the police, they can only be arrested if deportation is ordered or if there’re any grounds for preventive detention.
    “The interest in immediate detention is particularly high here,” Alter said.

    However, the system is overstretched and there’re not enough detention centres. “There are only 400 to 500 detention places while there were 235.957 individuals to be deported in 2018. This is definitely not enough,” the spokesman adds. “Despite the law, many deportation instructions cannot be implemented.”

    Human Rights Come First

    According to Alter, in many states, you cannot enter properties to search for deportees, so authorities have to try and find the person outside their homes. This situation is now to be regulated by Horst Seehofer’s draft law.

    “The expulsion of offenders is becoming more and more simple, for example, a few years ago, as a result of the events in Cologne on the New Year’s Eve when numerous assaults on women took place. However, lowering thresholds doesn’t help if those concerned enjoy special protection against expulsion, for example, they are recognised refugees or entitled to asylum and subsidiary protection.”

    “The expulsion protection for offenders having a corresponding status is therefore reduced to the minimum and allows these individuals to legally stay in Germany. However, it is still ensured that no one can be deported to an area where he or she faces inhuman treatment. This non-refoulment rule is unrestricted.”

    Criminals With Right of Residence

    At the moment, there are hardly any monitoring possibilities for offenders whose deportation is not possible — unlike those with extremist backgrounds.

    The bill, therefore, requires that more stringent measures should be imposed on criminals who cannot be deported, including travel restrictions, the obligation to regularly report to the police, and electronic monitoring ankle chains.

    On Monday, at the ARD ‘Hart aber fair’ show, former judge at the Federal Administrative Court Harald Dörig added a few strange examples on the delicate topic of deportation. The principle, which many refugees currently use, seems simple to him: if a refugee admits being a member of Daesh* or any other terrorist group, he or she would be tortured and killed if deported to a number of countries, often including their home country.

    “Some individuals resort to such tricks,” Dörig said regarding these self-reports. He also added that since Germany has a rather complicated and time-consuming process of investigating such cases, for some it may well be an appropriate way to stay in the country for an extended period of time.

    *Daesh is a terrorist organisation banned in Russia and many other countries.”

    “A US man was sentenced to 16 years in prison for plotting to detonate a pressure cooker bomb in New York City on behalf of the Islamic State terrorist group (IS, banned in Russia), the Justice Department said in a press release.

    “Gregory Lepsky, 22, of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, was sentenced today to 16 years in prison for planning to construct and use a pressure cooker bomb in New York on behalf of a designated foreign terrorist organization, the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) [IS] [Daesh]”, the release said on Friday.

    Lepsky, the son of a Chechen immigrant, who pleaded guilty to the charges, admitted he had used the internet to access Daesh directives, obtain blueprints, and purchased the pressure cooker and other items to be used in the attack.

    During several social media communications, the release added, Lepsky said he was willing to become a martyr by driving explosives to where the “enemies” could be found and blowing himself up…”

    “A anti-Muslim poster likening Rep. Ilhan Omar to a 9/11 terrorist sparked outrage on Friday after it was spotted on display in the West Virginia state capitol during a GOP event.

    The poster depicts theTwin Towers on September 11 with the words ‘”Never forget” – you said…’ imposed over the image of the burning building.

    Underneath is seen a photograph of Minnesota Democrat Omar with the words ‘I am the proof – you have forgotten’.

    The inflammatory poster was displayed prominently in the rotunda at as part of a GOP event, according to West Virginia MetroNews.

    On the same day, the sergeant at arms resigned after being accused of saying ‘all Muslims are terrorists’ when challenged about the display.

    Pamphlets accompanying the display read ‘The Four Stages of Islamic Conquest’ and ‘Readin’, Writin’ and Jihadin.’

    A woman who had a sign identifying with ‘ACT for America,’ a Southern Poverty Law Center designated hate group, set up the table, but in a video exchange would not discuss the contents of her table with Democrats.

    ‘No wonder why I am on the “Hitlist” of a domestic terrorist and “Assassinate Ilhan Omar” is written on my local gas stations,’ Rep. Omar tweeted earlier about graffiti threatening her life. ‘Look no further, the GOP’s anti-Muslim display likening me to a terrorist rocks in state capitols and no one is condemning them!’

    The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), in a statement, also demanded the state and national Republican Party condemn the anti-Muslim display.

    ‘We call on Governor Justice and GOP leaders in West Virginia and nationwide to condemn and repudiate this disgusting display of bigotry and Islamophobia,’ said CAIR Government Affairs Director Robert McCaw.

    The bigoted language elicited a strong reaction from West Virginia Democrats leading to an injured doorkeeper and the resignation of the sergeant at arms.

    ‘I find it distasteful. I said so. I went over and spoke with the people in that booth that I believe is sanctioned by a political party,’ said Delegate Mike Pushkin, a Democrat. ‘It points out a hatred and distrust of somebody because of their religion.’

    Delegate Michael Angelucci, also a Democrat, witnessed the confrontation, and in an emotional floor speech, he recounted how the sergeant at arms got involved.

    ‘The sergeant at arms had the nerve to say to us, ‘All Muslims are terrorists,” Angelucci said. ‘That’s not freedom of speech. That’s hate speech, and it has no place in this House. I don’t want to see her representing the people of this state in this House again.’

    Meanwhile, the minority whip, Delegate Mike Caputo, was so worked up, he apparently kicked in a door to the chamber during the opening prayer session slightly injuring a young doorkeeper.

    ‘I’m the one who kicked the door open. That’s how angry I was. I went over to that poster and I said it was a racist poster,’ Caputo said.

    The reaction from local Republicans were more muted with delegates Dianna Graves and Tom Bibby both deflecting to the importance of free speech.

    ‘We have allowed national level politics to become a cancer on our state, to become a cancer on our Legislature, to invade our chamber in a way that frankly makes me ashamed,’ Hanshaw, a Republican, said during the Friday evening session.

    Hanshaw then released a statement afterwards on behalf of the legislative body.

    ‘The West Virginia House of Delegates unequivocally rejects hate in all of its forms. As we began today’s floor session, we had a series of incidents occur in and outside of our Chamber that absolutely do not reflect the character and civility the people of this state demand of their public servants,’ wrote Hanshaw.

    Hanshaw announced the resignation of Sergeant at Arms Anne Lieberman in a motion on the House floor.

    The House of Delegates has already been roiled with controversy already this session due to remarks by freshman Republican Delegate Eric Porterfield, who equated LGBTQ organizations to ‘a modern day version of the Ku Klux Klan, without wearing hoods with their antics of hate.’

    ACT for America was founded by Brigitte Gabriel, born Hanan Qahwaji, in 2007 and was listed by the SPLC as a hate group because it ‘pushes wild anti-Muslim conspiracy theories, denigrates American Muslims and deliberately conflates mainstream and radical Islam.’

    Gabriel has attacked Rep. Omar repeatedly on Twitter.”

      The problem being, of course, that all Muslims are terrorists … merely to varying degrees. Islam implicitly radicalizes all Muslims. Full stop.

      Those who refuse or do not acquiesce to nominally support jihad are deemed takfir and killed. Islam’s process of natural selection gives Mother Nature a male-escorted run for her riyals.

      NOTE: — Even fewer people are will to examine the grim implications of de rigueur jihadist radicalization. All civilizations determined to reject Islam’s withering embrace automatically are obliged to meet and exceed Islamic violence at every level. —

      So, through a process of indoctrination or simple elimination, Islam always trends towards facilitating terrorism. Any Muslim who denies this is … you guessed it! A terrorist. Spewing taqiyya is informational and psychological warfare, which is terrorism, which deserves to be treated accordingly.

      Debating Omar’s well-established advocacy of genocide and terrorism is unproductive at best, not to mention an intended goal of her public displays. Sowing confusion and discord within an opponent’s ranks is a time-honored tradition.

      It should come as no surprise that this treasonous jihadi is happily acting as a lightning rod to draw away attention from the far more nefarious activities of her co-conspirators.

    “SUPPORTERS of a depraved Asian sex gang targeted two female prosecutors outside a court room, hurling abuse and telling them: “Hope you get raped.”

    The aggressive and threatening behaviour came at the end of a sixweek trial at Bradford Crown Court which saw nine paedophiles being jailed for a total of 132 years earlier this week. Prosecution barrister Kama Melly QC and junior counsel Sharon Beattie were heckled and verbally abused inside the court building late on Tuesday afternoon after the defendants had been found guilty. Miss Melly said around 10 people had hung around the public concourse area.

    The lawyers were the last to leave the courtroom when they spotted the group waiting at the top of a stairwell.

    Miss Melly said the mob, including men and women, began a slow hand clap, calling them “corrupt”, “tramps” and telling them: “Hope you get raped”.

    They immediately returned to the court offices and informed officials of the abuse.

    Police were called and the angry mob had their names taken and were barred from attending Wednesday’s sentencing hearing.

    West Yorkshire Police is considering criminal charges.

    Ms Melly said: “It was absolutely appalling behaviour on their part.

    “We should be able to do our jobs in the pursuit of justice without having to take such shocking forms of abuse.”

    Trial judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC, the Recorder of Bradford, described the targeting of the barristers as “absolutely outrageous”.

    He said: “The powers that be must take action. These are members of the independent Bar who have just done their job.” After the guilty verdicts the men’s relatives had screamed angry abuse from the public gallery until police and security guards removed them.

    Throughout the case some defendants had to be warned about their conduct and there was aggressive behaviour by some of their families.

    The gang were convicted of raping and abusing two 14-year-old girls they enticed away from a care home.

    Ringleader Basharat Khaliq, 38, was jailed for 20 years, while seven other men were jailed for between 18 months and 20 years for an array of charges including rape.”

    “A man who harassed a Muslim woman for not adhering to Islamic dress codes at a London health centre and threatened a co-worker he believed was Christian has received a weak non-custodial sentence.

    Mohammed Amin, 37, passed a woman working at St Andrew’s Health Centre in London a handwritten note which “stated that the [she] should be aware that she was not following the Islamic dress code”, according to an official Metropolitan Police statement.

    Amin threatened the woman after she confronted him, and verbally abused a doctor who attempted to intervene “on the basis of his perceived membership of the Christian faith”.

    Amin also “threatened the [doctor] with violence if he reported the matter to police”.

    He was ultimately convicted of two counts of racially/religiously aggravated Section 4 Public Order Act offences against NHS staff at Snaresbrook Crown Court, but a judge only saw fit to hand him a community sentence, ten-day rehabilitation requirement, and an £85 charge for costs.

    “We believe Amin regularly approached Muslim women, or women he perceived to be Muslim, in Tower Hamlets and confronted them about their appearance,” commented Detective Constable Ami Henderson, urging other potential victims to come forward.

    “I commend the two victims at the health centre for coming forward and giving evidence at court. Anyone else who has been confronted in this way is asked to call police on 101,” she added.

    Similar events have taken place across Europe in recent years, and appear to have intensified following the influx of migrants from Muslim-majority countries when the migrant crisis took hold of the continent in late 2015.

    In Germany, for example, Chechen-origin “morality police” have harassed and even assaulted women from their own community as well as some native Germans who have fraternised with them, for failing to keep to the cultural norms which hold sway in their homeland.

    “Here, in Europe, certain Chechen women and men who look like women do unspeakable things. You know it; I know it; everybody knows it,” began one chilling message recorded by a man armed with a handgun and circulated through the Chechen community via the WhatsApp messaging service.

    “A TEENAGER died after being stabbed in a East London park on Friday night.

    London became once again the theatre of violence on Friday, when a teenage girl was stabbed in a park in Romford. Police officers rushed to East London after being called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at 9.25pm, Scotland Yard said. They found the victim in a park in Harold Hill, close to St Neot’s Road.

    The girl, believed to be 17, sadly didn’t survive the attack, and was pronounced dead at 10.26pm.

    The Metropolitan Police said in a statement: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 21:25hrs on Friday, 1 March, to reports of a stabbing in a park close to St Neot’s Road in Harold Hill.

    “Officers attended and found a girl, believed to be aged 17, suffering from a stab injury.

    “She was pronounced dead at 22:26hrs.

    “Next of kin have been informed but officers await formal identification.

    “A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.”

    Scotland Yard also said the Homicide and Major Crime Command has launched an investigation.

    No arrest has been made so far.”

    From the halls of Congress to the presidential campaign trail, Democratic moderates are beginning to push back against the wave of liberal energy and shoot-the-moon policy ideas that have captured the party’s imagination over the last two months.

    They worry that the sweeping proposals and hardball tactics of liberal firebrands could alienate centrist voters in the 2020 election, even as they hold out hope that Democratic primary voters, focused on defeating President Donald Trump, will check the party’s move to the left.

    A court hearing on whether to unseal sensitive documents involving the alleged sex trafficking of underage girls by Palm Beach multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein — and the possible involvement of his influential friends — will play out in a New York City courtroom next week.

    But it may happen behind closed doors, with the news media and public barred — at least in part.

    An attorney for lawyer Alan Dershowitz wrote a letter to the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Tuesday, asking whether the media should be excluded from the proceeding because his oral arguments on behalf of his client could contain sensitive information that has been under seal.

    The Treasury Department is rolling out new sanctions against Venezuela. On Friday, department Secretary Steven Mnuchin said the latest sanctions are targeting Venezuelan officials, who are blocking humanitarian aid from entering the country.

    Those sanctioned include Venezuelan special forces commanders and members of the national police. Mnuchin said his department is committed to targeting “Maduro loyalists, who are prolonging the humanitarian crisis.”

  22. Capitol Police officer’s weapon, left unattended in restroom, had alarming feature

    A Capitol Police officer left his handgun, a Glock 22, unattended in a restroom in the Capitol Visitor Center complex on Monday night, according to a 27 February report from Roll Call.

    This incident isn’t the first one in recent years. The year 2015 apparently saw a “rash” of guns left unattended by Capitol Police. It’s hard to determine how prevalent the pattern is, however, because records of these events apparently aren’t subject to oversight or publicity.

    First the police officers that leave their weapons behind need to be retrained.

    The lack of a safety on the Glock’s and other Double Action Only handguns is due to the way the cities when they decide to cut training costs always cut firearms training first. As with any action that you do in an emergency you need to practice removing the safety when you draw the weapon. Because the anti-gun cities don’t want people practicing with firearms they use technology to work around the lack of training.

    DOA semi-autos have a long trigger pull every time (single action from the cocked position or Double Action from the cocked position) have a shorter trigger pull. The indoctrinated public get scared if they see someone carrying a semi-auto with the hammer cocked and the safety on. So the cities requested and the manufactured firearms where the hammer/internal striker always returns to the down position after firing. Some that are true Double Actions have decocking levers that lock the firing pin and lower the hammer when engaged. The decocking lever then automatically returns to its rest position.

    FYI the Glock’s were the original “Plastic Gun” they have a polymer frame with metal reinforcing at the stress points and a metal slide. There are several all metal firearms that have less metal in them then the Glock’s have.

    The Trump administration’s asylum policy is prompting more migrants to try their luck at crossing illegally rather than seeking out legal ports of entry, Customs and Border Protection data suggest.

    The proportion of foreign nationals attempting to cross the border illegally rather than reporting to legal ports of entry has risen in the past year, according to the data. Those crossing illegally made up 73 percent of all border crossings from October 2017 to January 2018 and then rose to 83 percent for the same period of time ending on Jan. 31, 2019, NBC News reported Friday.

    At the same time, the percentage of foreign nationals intentionally reaching out to border enforcement establishments dropped from 27 percent to 17 percent.

    The new numbers come in the wake of President Donald Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy. The policy enacted in December 2018 dictates that foreign nationals who seek asylum at the southern border cannot enter the U.S. and must remain in Mexico while their case makes it through the immigration courts — a process that could take months to years.

    NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The NYPD is warning police officers about a possible threat from the MS-13 gang, particularly when they are off-duty.

    CBS2’s Dick Brennan reports that in a bulletin the NYPD put out this alert: “Members of MS-13 are looking to ‘hit’ NYPD police officers, specifically in the Brentwood/Central Islip area as well as possibly Patchogue.”

    A monument marking the site where Nazi Germany burned down Strasbourg’s Old Synagogue was vandalized overnight, city officials said on Saturday.

    “A new incident of anti-Semitism in our town,” deputy mayor Alain Fontanel wrote on Twitter as a caption to a picture showing the black marble slab knocked off its plinth.

    Hitler Youth ransacked and burnt down the Old Synagogue in September 1940, three months after German forces invaded France and occupied much of its territory.

    “Sadly, history repeats itself,” Fontanel said.

    Strasbourg is the capital city of the Grand Est region, formerly Alsace, in northeastern France. It is also the seat of the European Parliament and close to the German border.

    ‘Enough is enough’

    Mayor Roland Ries told French television that the incident was anti-Semitic.

    The slab “must weigh 300 or 400 kilograms,” Ries said. “It wasn’t pushed off by a single individual.”

    The stone lies near another memorial, the Avenue of the Righteous, which honors the work of non-Jews who helped save Jews during the Nazi occupation.

    “The site is itself a response to whoever did this repulsive act because it symbolizes both the actions and horrors of the Nazi regime and the French people’s power of resistance,” Mayor Roland Ries wrote on Facebook ahead of his visit to the site.

    Rising anti-Semitism in France

    France is home to the largest Jewish population in Europe and has seen a surge in anti-Semitic acts in recent years.

    In February, vandals spray-painted swastikas on 96 graves in a Jewish cemetery in the town of Quatzenheim, some 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) northwest of Strasbourg.

    In response, French President Emmanuel Macron has vowed to draft a new law against online hate crime and take actions to close down groups that spread hate and violence.

    Israel’s ambassador to Germany, Jeremy Issacharoff, told DW on Friday that he supported efforts by European countries to introduce regulations against online anti-Semitic material.
