At the end of this reply are some additional notes regarding TI’s “Countries to Watch” which indicate a possible bias in this reputedly Progressive organization. It’s extremely curious how every one of the nations mentioned (e.g., USA, Brazil, and the Czech Republic) all have lately elected nationalist leaders that are upsetting the global applecart’s status quo. A status quo, mind you, which TI depends upon for their bread and butter.
It’s also critical to note is that—much like how long ground-level CO2 requires years to reach the upper atmosphere—it takes a long time for internal corruption to noticeably influence a functional country’s economy (dysfunctional ones can nosedive in seconds). Ergo, Clinton, Bush 2.0, and (especially) 0bama were the big contributors to America’s recent decline in standings at TI.
On a personal note, it does not help that BHO’s administration was one of the most corrupt in modern (if not all of) American history.

A patrol of the Federal Police, which had been called to the suburban train stop Heimstetten yesterday Saturday afternoon because of an assault, was suddenly attacked by an 18-year-old man who injured three Federal Police officers. The adolescent had already become noticeable several times before. The federal police are looking for witnesses. Around 4:20 p.m., an assault at the suburban train stop Heimstetten, district of Munich, was reported to the Munich police headquarters. A man wearing only underpants is said to have punched a traveller in the face for no reason. On arrival of the first patrol (three federal police officers), it turned out later that an 18-year-old Afghan from Feldmoching attacked the police officers extremely aggressively and abruptly. He kicked and struck and knocked a 31-year-old police commissioner’s chest with a violent kick. The officer fell backwards to the ground. A 24-year-old officer was injured in a wrangling with the 18-year-old. He suffered a severe bleeding head wound. The federal police, who were supported shortly afterwards by officers of the Bavarian State Police, could only overwhelm the man by using the baton. The aggression of the 18-year-old was so violent that he destroyed two plastic handcuffs on his feet. Further additional federal and state police officers were necessary to fix the Afghan to the ground. The paramedics had to sedate the apparently drugged person in order to transport him to the hospital. The 18-year-old had been accompanied by a 20-year-old compatriot. The role of the companion, who is also under the influence of drugs, has yet to be determined. He was verbally aggressive towards the Federal Police during the operation against his compatriot and was on the verge of attacking the Federal Police. Also against him a baton had to be used by a patrol of the national police which had arrived in the meantime. According to the first findings of witnesses, the 18-year-old, possibly also his companion, is said to have had several disputes with other persons in the vicinity of the suburban train stop and to have committed several assaults and caused damage to property. The incident was of great public interest. At the time of their arrest, there were about 30 people at the bus stop in front of the train station and ten people on the sidewalk. However, the onlookers did not interfere with the actions of the police. The Federal Police also issued several reprimands, among others because the 18-year-old could have endangered other persons if his shackles had been loosened and to protect him from curious people because of his lack of clothing.Initial investigations revealed that the 18-year-old had assaulted a 21-year-old man from Ebersberg by punching him on the platform. Previously, the Afghan had climbed into the track to reach the other platform. The 21-year-old was slightly injured in the head. Shortly afterwards, the Afghan turned to a 39-year-old from Haag in Upper Bavaria, who had been waiting for his partner on the platform. He fled with his wife and a 10-year-old in his car at the nearby parking lot. When the three were sitting in the locked vehicle, both Afghans are said to have punched the vehicle with their fists and kicked a dent in the vehicle with their feet. During the medical treatment of the 24-year-old injured police officer it turned out that he also suffered a fracture of the eye socket and therefore had to remain in hospital. Whether an surgery may also be necessary has not yet been decided by the attending physicians. In the course of the evening, another 23-year-old police officer from the three-way patrol went to hospital for treatment to have any pain in his knee cleared up. The third policeman was also in pain, but remained fit to serve. According to first information from doctors and the Bavarian State Police, the 18-year-old Afghan is to be admitted to a psychiatric clinic. His compatriot explained that both had taken the suburban train to Heimstetten around noon and had received and swallowed unknown tablets of unknown substance. The Federal Police are now looking for witnesses in connection with the incidents, among other things because of dangerous bodily injury and assault on police officers, who might be able to give relevant information about the incident at the platform of the suburban railway stop Heimstetten or about possible incidents in the time period before 4: 20 p.m. in the wider spatial surroundings of the railway facility in the Kirchheim district of Heimstetten. Instead, we have had several days of vigorous expression that seems to boil down to how obtuse everyone else is. On one side, if we were to encapsulate it crudely, the theme is “How can these cretins not see that Trump is a dangerous, morally illegitimate moron?” On the other side, the theme is “How can these fools not see that we have an existential, politically fomented national security crisis at our border?”
Refining these themes, when there is no common ground for dialogue between them, isn’t likely to suddenly become helpful. It hasn’t been up to now, that’s for sure.

“MEGHAN Markle has voiced her support for a campaign aiming to “decolonise the curriculum” by ensuring there are more black professors working in universities in her pioneering political intervention since joining the royal family.
The movement wants to confront the “male, pale and stale” professors and ensure there is more diversity among teachers in higher education. Data from 2018 by Equality and Higher education staff statistical report showed out of 14,205 male professors, more than 12,000 were white and just 90 were black. In 2016, Oxford University students campaigned to have the statue of Cecil Rhodes, the 19th Century colonialist and slave owner, removed from a university college.
One of the campaigners said Rhodes was “responsible for all manner of stealing land, massacring tens of thousands of black Africans, imposing a regime of unspeakable labour exploitation in the diamond mines and devising proto-apartheid policies”.
When the Duchess of Sussex became Patron of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, she made it clear she was surprised at the low diversity of professors in the UK.
When she was handed a sheet of data on a royal visit showing how most UK professors are white and male, she said: “Oh my God!”
A supporter of ethnic minority and female staff Manchester University, Dr Rachel Cowan said: “She was really surprised, she was like ‘oh my god, really, we need to get a photograph of this”.
According to the research from Advance Higher Education, 68 per cent of UK professors are white makes, 23 per cent are white females, 6.5 per cent are a black and minority ethnic males and two per cent black and minority ethnic female.
British universities have struggled to make progress in promoting black and other minority ethnic staff to senior positions.
Meera Sabaratnam, who leads the campaign to decolonise the curriculum at universities in London said: “Many of the issues around racial equality are similar and it is great to see her embrace this. Change is long overdue.””

“SHAMIMA Begum fled to Syria from her home in Bethnal Green as a schoolgirl. But four years later, the ISIS bride has given a shock interview after giving birth to a boy and admitted “I don’t regret it”.
The 19-year-old travelled to Syria with two of her friends, Kadiza Sultana and Amira Abase, at the age of 15. Kadiza Sultana was reportedly killed in an airstrike in 2016, with the whereabouts of Amira Abase not confirmed. Last week, Ms Begum was found in a refugee camp in northern Syria, which is Kurdish-controlled, and has been pleading to be allowed to return to the UK.
In an interview with Sky News today, Ms Begum said she wanted to go to Syria after seeing news and videos on the internet.
Asked if she felt she made a mistake travelling to Syria, she said: “In a way, yes, but I don’t regret it because it’s changed me as a person.

“It’s just that then things got harder and I couldn’t take it anymore. and I had to leave.”
Ms Begum appealed to the British public for sympathy, saying: “I can’t live in this camp forever.”
Speaking with her newborn baby at her side, she said: “I feel a lot of people should have sympathy for me, for everything I’ve been through, you know I didn’t know what I was getting
into when I left, I just was hoping that maybe for the sake of me and my child they let me come back.
“Because I can’t live in this camp forever. It’s not really possible.”
Asked to respond to comments that she could be potentially very dangerous if she returned, she said: “They don’t have any evidence against me doing anything dangerous.
“When I went to Syria I was just a housewife, the entire four years I stayed at home, took care of my husband, took care of my kids,
“I never did anything… I never made propaganda, I never encouraged people to come to Syria.
“They don’t really have proof that I did anything that is dangerous.”
MI6 intelligence service chief Alex Younger warned that someone who had been in “that sort of position” was likely to have gained at least some “skills or connections”.
He said people who have fled cannot be stopped if they decide to return to the UK, but public safety is the first priority.
Home Secretary Sajid Javid also said last week he “will not hesitate” to prevent the return Ms Begum.
He said: “If you do manage to return you should be ready to be questioned, investigated and potentially prosecuted.””

“GIRLS are staying away from school or not going to the loo during the day because of the growing trend of mixed-sex toilets. Problems include cruel “period shaming” from boys, sexual harassment or a lack of privacy.
A growing number of schools are phasing out single-sex toilets as it is claimed unisex ones reduce bullying and are more inclusive to transgender children. But a consultation by feminist campaigners Women’s Voices Wales found pupils, parents and staff are not consulted or are too embarrassed to complain. It called for the policy to be reviewed. One parent of a secondary school girl said: “She won’t use the toilets and tries to last all day. Boys are always speculating on whether girls are having their periods according to how long they take in the toilet.”
The mother added that when she met the school head, she was told if her daughter had a problem, she must see the nurse “which my girl thinks will just draw attention to her”.
The group argues that the “safety and dignity” of girls is being ignored.
Spokeswoman Helen Raynor said: “No pupil should feel they are unable to use the toilet. No child should avoid school, or stop drinking water so they don’t wee.
“Girls cannot ‘hold periods in’.”
A Welsh Government spokesman said that when new schools are built “stakeholders” are consulted “to ensure the school offers facilities that are fit for purpose”.
But it will review the findings to see “whether further guidance” is required.
Children’s Commissioner for Wales, Professor Sally Holland, said: “The rights children have to safety, protection from harm and privacy belong to children and young people of all genders, including those who identify as transgender.””

Two men SHOT in Liverpool ‘targeted attack’ – victims in SERIOUS condition (express, Feb 17, 2019)

“TWO men have been injured after they were shot in the head and chest by masked gunmen on a street in Liverpool.
Both of the victims in their thirties are in “serious” condition and have been rushed to hospital, according to the Liverpool Echo. The incident took place on Wapshare Road in Norris Green and patrols have been set up in the area. Merseyside police are now on a city-wide manhunt for the gunmen and have appealed to witnesses for more information.
Police believe the men were dressed in dark clothes with facial coverings when the shooting took place.
Detectives say the motive for the attack is still unknown but they believe it was a targeted incident.
Another shooting took place on Friday night on Willow Way in Croxteth just a short drive away from the scene but there is no indication that the two crimes are linked.
A police statement said: “Emergency services were called at around 7.15pm to reports two men had been shot in the Wapshare Road area by two male offenders wearing dark clothing and facial coverings.
“A 30-year-old man sustained a chest injury and a 31-year-old man sustained a head injury, both consistent with a firearms discharge.
“They have been taken to hospital where they are both currently described as being in a serious condition.
“Officers and Crime Scene Investigators are in attendance at the scene and extensive enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances of what happened and to locate the offenders. CCTV from the area will be sought.”
Officers have ensured that a thorough forensic examination of the scene will take place along with house to house enquiries.
Patrols have also been set up in the area to reassure the community and provide safety.
Detective Inspector Sabi Kaur said: “This shocking incident in a residential area has left two men with serious injuries and we will do everything in our power to locate those responsible for this brazen attack.
“We are keeping an open mind as to why this has happened and the investigation is in its very early stages however we are determined to establish who is responsible and to bring them to justice.””

“THE brother of two teenagers killed fighting for ISIS in Syria has died in hospital in Brighton after being stabbed in a car after it crashed.
Abdul Deghayes was attacked in Elm Grove, Brighton at 9:30pm last night after a collision between at least two cars.
The 22-year-old died at the Royal Sussex Country Hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning Sussex police confirmed as they launched their murder investigation.
He was found with a “number of stab wounds” in the passenger seat of a silver Volkswagen Polo which had crashed into other cars.
Abdul is the twin brother of Abdullah who was killed fighting in Syria in 2016 aged 18.
Their younger brother Jaffar, 17, was killed in 2014 also fighting in Syria.
Chief Inspector Andy Bennett said: “We are trying to establish the exact circumstances of what has led to this young man’s tragic death.
“We are aware that the car was in collision with other vehicles shortly before he was found to have suffered these injuries, which we are satisfied were caused maliciously and not as a result of the collision.
“The scene is close to the junction with Lewes Road, near to The Level, and at that time of the evening would have been very busy.
“We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the collision or who may have seen something that they may now regard as suspicious in the time leading up to it.
“Our thoughts are with Abdul’s family and friends at this tragic time and we have specialist family liaison officers supporting them.”
Speaking at the time of Jaffar’s death, their father Abubaker Deghayes said his grief “cannot be described”.

“Three Romanian migrants have been imprisoned for beating a man to death with shears and pick-axe handles in the street in Ilford, London.
Fellow Romanian Sandel Serbu, 36, was ambushed by brothers Razvan Vladescu, 27, and Araman-Nardi Stoica, 25, and their relative Ionut Vasile, 28, according to an official statement from London’s Metropolitan Police Force.
The three men had tracked Serbu on a night out on November 12th 2017, apparently seeking revenge for an incident in which he had punched Vladescu at the Global night club on Ilford High Road.
“Compensation was demanded for Razvan Vladescu. Mr Serbu either refused to pay or failed to pay,” prosecutors told the court during the trial.
The end result was that Vladescu and his accomplices tracked the unwitting Serbu and set upon him as he was heading into a shop to buy cigarettes, “repeatedly hitting him full-force in the head with their weapons.”
The assault was so ferocious that one bypasser recalled hearing an audible “crack” as one of the blows landed, with a friend of Serbu’s who started forwarded to intervene being told by one of the attackers in no uncertain terms: “I will kill you if you move. Stay out of it.”
Serbu eventually managed to get away from the men, collapsing a short distance away from the scene of the initial attack. Instead of leaving it at that, however, the attackers approached their stricken victim and carried on with the assault.
The attack only came to an end when an ambulance crew who happened to be passing the scene on their way to another emergency intervened, but “their sirens and blue lights did little, if anything, to deter the attackers” at first, according to the prosecution.
Eventually, they walked past the ambulance “like nothing happened” and drove away from the scene in a BMW 4×4 belonging to Vasile, leaving paramedics to try and save Serbu — ultimately without success.
“Sandel was popping into a shop when he was ambushed by a group of men armed with weapons who brutally beat him to death,” commented Detective Chief Inspector Paul Considine, who led the investigation into the slaying.
“Sandel was defenceless and had no way to protect himself. He managed to momentarily escape but soon fell to the ground and was once again savagely attacked. His attackers then left him dying in the street as they casually walked off.”
Vladescu was sentenced to “life” in prison for murder but will be eligible for parole after a minimum term of 26 years, plus 18 months for possession of an offensive weapon — although the second term is essentially meaningless, as it will run concurrently with the murder term.
Stoica was also sentenced to “life” for murder, with a slightly shorter minimum term of 23 years, plus a similarly bogus 18-month concurrent sentence for possession of an offensive weapon.
Vasile, finally, was convicted of manslaughter, for which he received relatively short 12-year term.
Criminals serving determinate sentences are typically eligible for automatic release on licence at the halfway point — or more rarely the two-thirds point — in their terms.
Court reports do not say an exception has been made for Vasile, and the courts generally refuse to clarify such things, citing data protection regulations.”

“A trans “woman” was allowed to walk free from Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court in Scotland after being convicted of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in a supermarket restroom.
The attacker, whose name is given as “Katie Dolatowski”, waited for the young victim to come out of a toilet cubicle at a Morrisons supermarket in Kirkcaldy, Fife, then grabbed her by the face and forced her back inside.
Dolatowski told the girl to remove her trousers and warned that a man outside would kill her mother, according to reports, but she fought back, striking the paedophile in the face, belly, and crotch and tearing away to her father and siblings outside.
Dolatowski had attempted to photograph a 12-year-old as she urinated at another supermarket a month prior in nearby Dunfermline — but judge James Williamson decided not to send the sex offender to prison, instead handing down a tagging order and community service order which he claimed was “stringent”.
The girl’s mother was horrified, saying she felt “very, very let down” and that she did not have “any confidence whatsoever that [Dolatowski] will not go out and do something equally as bad or worse.”
“He was stalking the toilets. He went there specifically to attack a child,” the mother said, declining to use Dolatowski’s preferred pronouns.
“We were so, so lucky that nothing worse happened. It was only her reaction that stopped that. It could have been a five-year-old child that wouldn’t have been able to fight back.”
Dolatowski, 18, was said to have spent time in the care system growing up and suffer from mental health issues, but the mother was unimpressed.
“A lot of people have been in care but they do not go out and assault children,” she said.
“I don’t care that he has issues or what his background is, he is a paedophile and he has been let out,” she added.
The case prompted the Women and Girls in Scotland group to call for safeguards against biological males in female-only spaces, as elite opinions moves steadily towards allowing people to pick and choose their gender with little or no medical oversight.
“This horrific sexual assault of a child is a reminder that sexual predators will take advantage of any access they can get and we should be doing all we can to minimise the risks of such assaults,” a spokeswoman observed.
“Over 90 percent of sexual crimes are committed by males. It is extremely concerning that in this climate many female-only spaces can be accessed by males if they simply state they are transgender,” she added.
Judge Williamson acknowledges that Dolatowski poses a “moderate risk” of reoffending.”

Femme décapitée à Paris : le fils cadet en garde à vue
Le cadavre d’une femme décapitée a été retrouvé dimanche dans son appartement à Paris et son fils cadet, qui souffre de troubles psychiatriques, a été placé en garde à vue après s’être rendu à la police dans la journée, a-t-on appris de sources policières et judiciaire.
Les services de secours ont retrouvé le corps de la victime dans son appartement situé dans un quartier de l’est parisien (12e arrondissement), a précisé la source policière, confirmant des informations de presse. La tête de la femme aurait été retrouvée dans un four.
Le parquet de Paris, qui s’est rendu sur place, a ouvert une enquête pour “homicide volontaire sur ascendant”.
Selon une seconde source policière, le suspect est le fils cadet de la victime, âgé de 33 ans et qui présente des troubles psychiatriques importants. “Le fils de la victime s’est présenté spontanément à la police et il a été placé en garde à vue”, a-t-on appris dimanche soir de source judiciaire.
Les investigations ont été confiées au 2e district de police judiciaire.

Czech-born Navratilova has campaigned widely for LGBT rights after coming out as a lesbian in 1981 and being faced with mass homophobic abuse.

The Tavistock Gender Identity Development Clinic in north London has an ‘inability to stand up to pressure’ from campaigners and parents demanding fast-track transitions, doctors have said.
The clinic, part of the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, is also providing ‘woefully inadequate’ care, with some staff citing ‘very serious ethical concerns’ about their workplace, a recent report said.
The report, made by former staff governor David Bell, said some children ‘take up a trans identity as a solution’ to ‘multiple problems such as historic child abuse in the family, bereavement, homophobia, and a very significant incidence of autism spectrum disorder’.
It also claimed the children may have been ‘coached’ by campaign groups and said the histories of ‘highly disturbed or complex’ patients were not thoroughly investigated, the Sunday Times reported.
The Bell report said many children questioning their identity may have ‘learnt through online resources [or] coaching from from parents or peers exactly what to say in order to get the results they want’.
One staff member said: ‘You suddenly see groups of kids who at initial interview give exactly the version of transition details, reasons, etc. I have overheard them in the corridor, parents coaching children before the interview and chiding them.
‘I feel I have let down a large number of children’.
The Bell report also said that in some instances feelings which were typical for young people had been relabelled as being to do with wanting to change gender.
The clinic, which is the largest single provider of Gender Identity Services for children in the UK, also allegedly referred patients for puberty-blocking hormones after just one session. The clinic denies this is the case.
An official review, compiled in response to the report, accepted some of the claims and made a number of recommendations.
But the trust’s medical director, Dinesh Sinha, found no evidence to support concerns about the care provided and claimed the clinic was ‘safe and operating in line with the best care in this field internationally’.
A statement on the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust website said: ‘The Trust has thoroughly investigated the concerns raised in Dr Bell’s report. None of the concerns around safety or safeguarding were upheld by our Medical Director.
‘The recommendations made by Dr Sinha mainly focused on standardising and evidencing our very thoughtful and personalised processes in a field where clinicians grapple daily with high levels of complexity, sparse evidence and great variety in the young people coming forward, their developmental stage, feelings, histories and hopes.
‘The service prides itself in taking a perspective on issues of gender identity which is independent, open-minded and based on the needs of an individual young person.
‘Our clinicians work thoughtfully with young people addressing complex issues and appropriately extending assessments on a case by case basis.’
It added: ‘The report presented hypothetical vignettes rather than actual case studies and does not reflect the practice of the Service.’
GIDS is described by the NHS as a clinic ‘for children and young people, and their families, who experience difficulties in the development of their gender identity’.
It aims ‘to understand the obstacles standing between young people and the development of a more settled and confident gender identity, and to try and minimise any negative influences from these obstacles.'”

Ever since Russia’s IW assault on the American political system in 2016 and its less successful attempt to manipulate the French elections, hacking, fake news, bots, and trolls are what come to mind regarding attempts to illicitly manipulate elections and affect democracies’ public discourse.
The success of such means, and the fact that they have captured the public imagination, should not allow us to assume that the more traditional methods of influencing another country’s political system have gone out of circulation. TURKEY – No seminary without minarets for Greek mosque, says Erdogan
The mosque in Athens should open with minarets if Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras wants to reopen the Greek Orthodox Halki seminary in Istanbul, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday.
“Look you want something from us, you want the Halki seminary. And I tell you [Greece], come, let’s open the Fethiye Mosque,” Turkey’s Marxist news website SoL reported Erdogan as saying during a rally in the northwestern province of Edirne ahead of local elections on March 31.
Erdogan’s suggestion follows a visit by Tsipras to Turkey earlier this month, when he stopped by the Hagia Sophia museum and the now-closed Greek Orthodox Halki seminary, shut down in 1971 after tensions between Ankara and Athens over Cyprus.
The Greek premier said during his visit to the seminary that he hoped to reopen the school next time with Erdogan.
Halki seminary, the only facility in the country to train orthodox clergy, is a symbol of the rights of minority groups.
Turkey’s strongman on Saturday complained about the lack of minarets on Athens’ Fethiye Mosque, despite Greek assurance on the matter.
Built in 1458 during the Ottoman occupation of Greece, the building has not been used as a mosque since 1821.
“They said, ‘we are opening the mosque’ but I said, why isn’t there a minaret? Can a church be a church without a bell tower?” Erdogan said, adding, “We say, you want to build a bell tower? Come and do it… But what is an essential part of our mosques? The minarets.”
The mosque’s minaret is believed by some to have been destroyed over its symbolism of Ottoman occupation.
Ankara has previously noted that reopening the seminary is dependent on reciprocal steps from Greece to improve the rights of its Turkish minority.

OTTAWA – Man stabbed nine days ago in Lowertown has died
A man in his 40s who was stabbed multiple times more than a week ago has died. One man is in custody.
Police have not yet given out the names of either the victim or the suspect, but say the two knew each other.
The victim was found bleeding from upper body wounds outside an Ottawa Community Housing apartment building at 380 Murray St. about 4:20 p.m. on Feb. 8, a Friday.
The following day his condition appeared to be stabilizing. But on Sunday police said he has died and the case is now a homicide.
The man in custody was originally charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.

One person is in custody and two others are at hospital after a late-night stabbing Friday.
At 1:45 a.m. Saturday, police say in a media release, officers were called to Meadowlands Drive west of Merivale Road, where they found two adults who had been stabbed. They were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
