I am only 8 minutes in to this nearly two hour presentation. But so far I think every regular to this site will recognize the core principles and even the general fatigue of defending ourselves against tactical accusations by the left, or as he calls them, (accurately) “Collectivists”.
Watched one hour and twenty three minutes, and have to go to bed. Will finish tomorrow. Definitely not what I expected. Can the John Birch Society have been maligned all these years? The speech is excellent, how about the practice? Anyone have any personal experience of their work?
Is the society still the same as he said it was then.
I listened to the end and it’s hard to fault his presentation without knowing how the John Birch Society actually functions.
Their statement of belief: Less Government, more responsibility, and with the help of God, a better world.
Is it true that they are open to every race and creed?
If they are as open about their organization as he says, why do we not hear more of them today?
Who are the members?
What other organizations and people of influence are they linked to?
For the last 50 years, in terms of influencing American society, they don’t seem to have been very successful.
Towards the end of the video he asks:
How many more:
American men have to lose their lives in no win wars?
How many more riots and burning of cities?
Government controls and regulations?
Churches converted into leftist political clubs?
How many more campuses turned into indoctrination centres?
Welfare to discourage production and encourage idleness? (He acknowledges earlier in his speech that there will always be people who need to be taken care of)
Drugs and pornography?
Increased taxes and inflation?
Before you join the JBS
He also asks the question: How many hours a week do you give to work for the principles you believe in?
(He says that communists give 11
I don’t see why it would be necessary to join a group like the JBS. It seems to me that each person can find enough work to do in his/her own sphere of influence.
I read a quote recently, not sure where it came from, but I think it’s true:
“What we need are fewer architects and more bricklayers”.
True, it is not necessary to join the JBS. You can visit their website and watch their videos for free. Also “The New American” website is informative.

“Larry McDonald — An American Hero Remembered”
by Christian Gomez – September 1, 2010
In 1982, Western Goals Foundation produced a definitive documentary on terrorism and subversion entitled No Place to Hide. In an interview from the documentary, McDonald says, “Yes we are at war — very definitely, we have been at war; it’s an economic war, it’s a war of subversion, it’s a war of espionage, it’s a war of ideas, and it’s a war of terrorism and it’s a war of infiltration.”

“Congressman Larry McDonald on Terrorism”
campusliberty1 – Published on July 15, 2010
My parents were members of the JBS in the 1960s. I got to meet both Larry McDonald and Robert Welch. Before Fox News or talk radio, the Birchers were about the only ones standing in the gap for civilization. Many of them wrote their congressmen, sponsored conservative speakers or radio programs in their area, and tried to educate those around them. All that I met were good people and unsung heroes of the Republic.
Thank you so much for this answer. I have been discussing the JBS with many middle aged friends who are fully red pilled, yet who only have a vague impression that they are/were Klansmen, clearly the go-to smear tactic of the left for a long time now.
Can one still join the JBS?
Yes, the JBS back then was usually described as either racists or nuts, both still favorite tactics of the commies. Yes, here is some contact info: https://www.jbs.org/join The John Birch Society
