Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We muse use it while we can.

    • Is he the guy who set up the GoFundme project to help make the wall which has raised 20mill$? If so, then he was(IMO) blatantly targeted by the usual suspects(see “leftist scum”) for daring to do so.

      • Yes, he is. See article. He says that all limbless passengers get swabbed when travelling. He does not believe he was targeted, but that policymakers are clueless.

        • WRT “see the article” if I could have, I would have. I have great problems loading many videos I see here and not a few websites. This is not new but has slowly crept in over the last year. I have no idea as to how they do it as we supposedly have the best ISP but I do know that unless I use the VPN I can see even less. I guess some sites dislike proxies and/or Big Brother slowly tightening his grip..

        I loathe conspiracy theories*. Full stop.

        Be that as it may, given the Deep State’s recent track record, I’d feel beyond foolish to believe that Kolfage’s cloudsourcing of The Wall and this TSA humiliation are not somehow connected.

        Again, I detest the (typically un- or under-informed) conjecture and inductive reasoning (i.e., Magical Thinking™) commonly required for almost conspiracy theories to ostensibly “work”.

        Unfortunately, between bikelock professors, crypto-Anarchists, flagrant Antisemitism, and shameless support for sharia law, the Prog PoMo Leftists (just like Islamic terrorists) have shown themselves to be incapable of self-restraint or even mere civility. Their immediate resort to unprovoked physical violence and general intolerance are ample reason for unrelentingly suspicious skepticism.

        * This broadband rejection of conspiracy theories is a principal reason for my historic dislike of Alex Jones. All of which has become monumentally ironic in the wake of his achieving more credibility than the MSM and subsequently being deplatformed for it.

        PS: Without insisting that anyone prove a negative, I nevertheless challenge somebody to furnish a convincing explanation of how these events (be it the “coincidences” surrounding Kolfage or Infowars) might be entirely disconnected.

        • I know what you man about the conspiracy theories, I use to think that the lefts conspiracy to take over was rather small. Now events say it is a world wide conspiracy with so many different lines tied into this conspiracy that it is hard to tell where reality stops and paranoia takes over. There are too many coincidences and too many points of convergence of people, groups and events.

          • That was my first thought. That guy would set off every alarm they have. vet or no, you have to search manually a guy made of steel. Also people that injured are more likely to have PTSD. I mean zero disrespect to him and I mean less than zero, I have profound gratitude for our vets but still, you can’t just give him a pass when he sets off every alarm at the gate.

  4. Pakistani Authorities Ban Asia Bibi From Leaving Country – Reports (sputniknews, Feb 10, 2019)

    “February has been marked by conflicting reports about the whereabouts of Asia Bibi, a Christian Pakistani woman whose acquittal on blasphemy charges provoked a backlash in the Islamic republic.

    A close friend of Bibi and rights campaigner Aman Ullah has claimed, as quoted by The Guardian, that Pakistani authorities had moved Asia Bibi to a new “secure area” and are banning her from leaving the country.

    The rights campaigner reportedly insisted on the fact that he had spoken with the woman on the phone and stated that Bibi had been transported from a location near the capital to a house in the southern port city of Karachi, where she and her husband are being kept.

    Meanwhile, a week ago German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported, quoting lawyer Saif-ul-Malook that the woman had already arrived in Canada with her husband and united with her family.

    According to AP, Pakistani Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has noted that Bibi is both free inside Pakistan and free to leave it, saying “she is living with her family and given requisite security for safety”.

    He reportedly said that the government was responsible for taking “all possible measures” to protect her and her family, adding that “she is a free citizen after her release from jail and can move anywhere in Pakistan or abroad”.

    In late October, the Pakistani Supreme Court acquitted Bibi, a mother of five who was sentenced to capital punishment in 2010 for insulting the Prophet Muhammad during a row with Muslim neighbours and has been in custody since them. The insults were reportedly made after the Muslim women said that her faith made a cup she had used “unclean”.

    The acquittal has provoked mass demonstrations in Pakistan, with protesters demanding that the authorities reverse the decision and put the woman to death, as well as take action against the judges who ruled her release.”

    Rangzieb Ahmed, 43, was jailed for life at Manchester Crown Court in 2008 for directing terrorism.

    The jury heard that he headed a three-man Al Qaeda cell which was preparing to commit mass murder.

    Ahmed was jailed for life with a minimum term of ten years after the Manchester Crown Court after a jury found him guilty of being a member of Al Qaeda with his associate, Manchester taxi driver Habib Ahmed.

    The 43-year-old, who was arrested in Pakistan, became the first person in the UK convicted of directing a terrorist organisation.

    A freedom of information request has revealed the extremist received £782,407 in legal fees, as reported by The Sun on Sunday.

    The fees include £589,667 for a barrister and £121,892 for an appeal against a failed conviction in 2011 as well as £60,435 for a civil action.

    MP David Davies described the payments as an ‘outrage.’

    Ahmed, who is thought to have links to the 7/7 terrorists, has a parole hearing next month.

      Many in the crowd gathered in the capital’s Plaza de Colon, waving Spanish flags. They chanted slogans in favor of the nation’s security forces and for Sanchez to resign.

      The conservative opposition Popular Party and the center-right Citizens party organized the rally, which was also backed by the upstart far-right Vox and other marginal far-right parties. They claim that Sanchez must resign for holding talks with separatists in the northeastern region of Catalonia.

      “The time of Sanchez’s government is over,” said Popular Party president Pablo Casado, who asked voters to punish Sanchez’s Socialists in upcoming European, local and regional elections in May.

      The political tensions come as a highly sensitive trial at Spain’s Supreme Court starts Tuesday for 12 Catalan separatists who face charges, including rebellion, for their roles in a failed secession attempt in 2017.

      Sanchez inherited the Catalan crisis from former Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, the then-leader of the Popular Party. Rajoy proved incapable of stopping support for secession from swelling in Catalonia to roughly half of the region’s voters.

      Sanchez came to power in June promising to thaw tensions between central authorities in Madrid and the Catalan leaders in Barcelona. He has met twice with Catalan chief Quim Torra and members of both governments had several more encounters.

      Sanchez had said he would be willing to help Catalan lawmakers agree to a new Charter Law, which determines the amount of self-rule the region enjoys. But Sanchez’s government broke off negotiations on Friday, when Vice President Carmen Calvo said the separatists wouldn’t budge from their demand for an independence referendum.

      Sanchez is trying to cobble together support to pass a national budget and will need votes from the Catalan separatists to pass it.

      Even though Sanchez has said he wants to see out the legislative term through 2020, a failure to win a budget vote will crank up the pressure on him to call for an early election.

    • Madrid demonstrators reject government’s Catalonia policy

      MADRID (Reuters) – Tens of thousands of people waving Spain’s red-and-yellow flag demonstrated in Madrid on Sunday to oppose any concessions by the government to Catalan pro-independence parties and to call for early elections.

      Demonstrators chanting “Spain! Spain!” and “We want to vote!” filled the Plaza de Colon in the city center in the largest protest Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has faced in eight months in office.

      The opposition center-right and far-right parties called the rally, seeking to make a show of force against Sanchez by capitalizing on anger with Catalonia’s separatist leaders and the government’s efforts to establish a dialogue with them.

      Around 45,000 people attended, officials said.

      The government’s proposal last Tuesday to appoint a rapporteur in talks among political parties to address the Catalan independence crisis galvanized the opposition, which has deemed it a betrayal and a surrender to pressure from Catalan separatists.

      “The time of Sanchez’s government has ended,” Popular Party leader Pablo Casado told reporters before the protest. Some banners at the rally read “Sanchez, liar” and “Spain is not negotiable and cannot be sold”.

      Sanchez, who replaced a conservative government last June in a vote of confidence, holds just a quarter of the seats in parliament and relies on backing from anti-austerity party Podemos, Catalan nationalists and other small parties to pass laws.

      The government is squeezed on both sides of the Catalan issue: Deputy Prime Minister Carmen Calvo said on Friday the talks were on track to fail because Catalan pro-independence groups had rejected the government’s proposed framework. The Catalan groups want a referendum on independence included on the agenda, which Madrid will not accept.

      Ana Puente, a 73 year-old retiree who attended the gathering, said she was protesting for a “united Spain”.

      “The government is giving many things to supporters of Catalan independence and is going to break Spain apart,” said Raquel García, 76, who was carrying a Spanish flag.

      Sanchez rejected that argument, telling a separate rally in the northern city of Santander: “The government works for the unity of Spain and that means to unify Spaniards and not to put one against the other as the right is doing today in Colon square.”

      The protest took place two days before the start of the trial of 12 Catalan independence leaders, who face up to 25 years in prison on charges of rebellion and misuse of public funds for their role in a failed secession bid from Spain that they are accused of spearheading in 2017.

      The government faces a key vote on Wednesday on its 2019 budget proposal, which will likely fail without the support of Catalan parties.But those parties have said their vote for the budget is conditional on the Catalan talks including the issue of independence, something the government will not include.

      Failure by parliament to approve the budget bill could prompt a snap election before the next scheduled vote in 2020.

      Recent opinion polls have shown the conservative Popular Party, center-right Ciudadanos and far-right Vox could together win a majority of seats in parliament if elections were held, allowing them to replace the Socialist government.

    “A shocking new report claims that only 8.2 percent of children in elementary schools with migrant backgrounds in the German city of Duisburg are able to speak the German language fluently.

    The revelations come from a report to be presented by Dr Ralf Krumpholz, the city’s Assistant Minister for Integration, and revealed that at least 16.4 percent of migration-background children in the school system speak no German at all, Rheinische Post reports.

    The report claims that only 8.2 percent of migrant-background children in 2017 could pass exams with flawless German and that 50.1 percent came from households in which another language other than German was spoken.

    When broken down by districts within the city, particularly in the suburbs, the number of German-speaking migration-background children are shown to be a small minority, with the district of Hochfeld having 87.9 percent of children speaking a different language in their everyday lives.

    The language barrier has impacted life in the city in several ways, including making it harder for doctors to treat children with parents who speak little or no German.

    The report comes as the demographic changes in Germany due to mass migration are becoming more and more clear. In Frankfurt, native Germans became a minority in 2017 tt the first German city where migration-background residents outnumber Germans.

    German-speaking native children are minorities in several schools across the country, including the Carl Anton Henschel School in the city of Kassel where a six-year-old girl named Yara, the only German in her class, spoke of bullying which included physical violence because she was German.

    Schools in Berlin with majority migration-background pupil populations have reported similar instances of bullying, often for religious reasons — including children bullied for eating pork.

    “I’m in seventh grade in a high school in Schöneberg. There, I am marginalised because I am German and eat pork. They swear in Turkish and Arabic about me,” one pupil revealed.”

    “A Milan project has been revealed to have spent at least 15 million euros over the past three years to help migrants into work, but only 120 have actually found jobs.

    The Protection System for Asylum Seekers and Refugees (SPRAR) is a government-funded project that aids asylum seekers across Italy and in Milan spent millions on training courses, Il Giornale reports.

    The revelations about the lack of success of the project come after local politician Silvia Sardone made a request and found the results of the project to be severely underwhelming, despite it being championed by figures such as left-wing councillor Pierfrancesco Majorino.

    A document signed by Majorino reveals that the project looked to find work for 414 migrants in total and enrolled 162 migrants in internships in 2017, but only 40 — or 25 percent — were hired for jobs, the same percentage as in 2016, when 32 were hired.

    The following year in 2018, 173 migrants took the training programme but only 52 — 30 percent — were hired. The centres house a total of 1,242 migrants.

    Sardone said in light of the poor statistics it was “useless” for those who advocate unlimited reception for migrants to argue against the migration decree of populist Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Matteo Salvini…”

    “Five rebels were killed in fighting with government forces in disputed Kashmir on Sunday, the Indian army said, triggering anti-India clashes in which at least 10 civilians were injured.

    The fighting began after Indian government forces cordoned off a village in the Himalayan region’s southern Kulgam area following a tip that militants were hiding there, said Col. Rajesh Kalia, a spokesman for the Indian military in Kashmir. The searches led to an exchange of gunfire in which five militants were killed, he said.

    The fighting sparked protests and clashes as hundreds of residents tried to march to the site of the battle in solidarity with militants. The protesters were chanting pro-rebel slogans and demanding end of an Indian rule over the region.

    Government forces fired shotgun pellets and tear gas at the protesters, who threw stones and snowballs at them. At least 10 civilians were injured and were taken to hospitals, medics and local residents said.

    India and Pakistan each claim the divided territory of Kashmir in its entirety. Rebels have been fighting Indian control since 1989 and civilian street protests are common.

    Most Kashmiris support the rebel position that the territory be united either under Pakistani rule or as an independent country.

    Nearly 70,000 people have been killed in the uprising and the ensuing Indian crackdown.”

    “Turkey has called China’s treatment of its minority Uighurs “a great cause of shame for humanity.”

    In a statement Saturday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy said it’s “no longer a secret” that China has arbitrarily detained more than a million Uighurs in “concentration camps.” He said the Turkic Muslim population faced pressure and “systematic assimilation” in western China.

    Aksoy said Turkey has shared with China its position on “all levels” and urged authorities to close the detention facilities and respect human rights.

    The minister said Turkey had also learned of the death in prison of famed Uighur musician and poet Abdurehim Heyit, who had been sentenced to eight years over one of his songs.

    “This tragedy has further reinforced the reaction of the Turkish public opinion toward serious human rights violations committed in the Xinjiang region,” Aksoy said.

    “We expect this legitimate response to be taken into account by the Chinese authorities. We respectfully commemorate Abdurehim Heyit and all our kinsmen who lost their lives defending their Turkish and Muslim identity,” Aksoy said.

    Heyit was a master of the dutar, a type of two-stringed instrument with a long neck that is found in Iran and throughout Central Asia. His detention was considered indicative of China’s determination to crack down on Uighur intellectuals and cultural figures in an effort some say to eradicate a separate Uighur language and identity.

    Heyit’s death could not be independently confirmed.

    China’s Embassy in Ankara called Aksoy’s comments “completely unacceptable” in a lengthy response posted on its website that defended its policies in the northwestern region of Xinjiang, the Uighur homeland.

    “Both China and Turkey face the arduous task of fighting terrorism. We are opposed to maintaining double standards on the question of fighting terrorism,” said the statement, attributed to an embassy spokesman.

    “We hope the Turkish side will have a correct understanding of the efforts made by China to legally deploy measures to effectively fight terrorism and extremism, withdraw its false accusations and take measures to eliminate their harmful effects,” it said.

    Beijing has intensified a security clampdown on Uighurs that was put in place after a bloody 2009 riot. Droves of Uighurs have fled, many traveling to Turkey, where the language and culture are similar to that in Xinjiang.

    After months of denying their existence, Chinese authorities under increasing outside pressure acknowledged the system of camps, terming them vocational training centers. They have provided little or no information on how many are interned within them and how long they are being held.

    Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had once accused China of “genocide” but has since established closer diplomatic and economic relations with Beijing.”

The negative optics alone could only further entrench Communist China’s pariah-nation status.       It begs the question of whether any potential client states even realize that, the Chicoms will “back door” every last Lego building block of military Mindstorm they sell. Hasn’t Huawei’s 5G pump and (data) dump—it’s unlikely that anyone these days remembers what a “core dump” is—collusion with the PRC made this abundantly clear?

      Perhaps the Politburo’s world domination dreams are fogged by earlier, simple deterrence-based frameworks of nuclear proliferation. Regardless of whatever prior misconceptions, this outmoded blanket approach will not apply to the fine-grained structure of AAAA (Agile Autonomous Attack Armaments).

      There is no way in everlasting hell the Mainland will transfer next generation warfighting technology over to terrorist Muslims and stay blind to how it will unhesitatingly be delivered straight into seditious Uyghur hands. Even heretical Shiites like Khomeini made it crystal clear that the universal triumph of Islam, even just its Sunni sect, supersedes all schisms and intramural disputes.

      This instantly implies that a buried overlay of surreptitious monitoring—via GPS, line of sight, WiFi, satellite, and other signals intercept technology—is superimposed on all outgoing Chicom AAAA platforms. Much like all of the debt traps being installed, sprung, and serviced worldwide, all of Communist China’s exported AAAA technology will merely be an extension of, or enforcement-by-proxy of Beijing’s policies and ideology.       Ergo, these are merely mislabeled Expert Systems. We are facing a future of not only governments having flying autonomous Terminators we are also facing a future when anyone with enough money can get one and feed in a picture of just about any person in that region and have it hunted down and killed. This tech isn’t going to stay in the hands of governments only think about crime gangs from the Mafia to the street gangs of punks.             I don’t know if you follow “Naomi Sexy Cyborg WU” she is a Chinese DIY video creator, she finds some interesting new tech to play with so I follow her for that. A few days ago on the thread about facial recognition software being used by more and more police departments I posted a video she put out about a device that will project what looks like makeup onto your face and change your appearance. I have been thinking about how the ability to spoof the video cameras along with autonomous robot assassins will bring a lot of authoritarian regimes to an end.

            Also yesterday Michelle posted a comment about how we are headed towards fortified compunds of the ultra rich with the rest of us stuck ourside in the ghettos. autonomous robot guards killing anyone without the right IFF strikes me as some thing the ultra rich would do if things go the way she thinks.

    Like my colleagues here at Liberty Unyielding, I recognized its many absurdities – incalculable cost, brain-scrambling economic disruption, fatuous inanities – and quickly detected their sheer irrationality.

    In the hours since the rollout, I’ve followed the walk-back and damage control with at least mild interest. Yes, the rollout statement was removed from the website shortly after it was posted. And there’s a whole thing with Tucker Carlson, an AOC aide, and Twitter duking it out over what the “official” version really says, and whose fault it was that some rogue version or versions said something else, and someone named Chakrabarti did too write the version that got posted, and AOC is tired of the whole thing although she retweeted some suspect-sounding comments from other people, and she wants everyone now to just go read the text of the actual House resolution at the Congress.gov website.

    38-year-old Kate Scottow, of Hitchin, Hertfordshire, said she was “arrested in my home by three officers, with my autistic ten-year-old daughter and breastfed 20-month-old son present” in comments posted to the Mumsnet online forum, according to the Mail on Sunday.

    “I was then detained for seven hours in a cell with no sanitary products (which I said I needed) before being interviewed then later released under investigation… I was arrested for harassment and malicious communications because I called someone out and misgendered them on Twitter.”

    Police officers are said to have taken her DNA, fingerprints, and photograph, and continue to retain her laptop and mobile phone months after they arrested her on December 1st, hindering her university studies.

    The Mail on Sunday say Hertfordshire Police have confirmed the arrest, telling the newspaper: “We take all reports of malicious communication seriously.”

    Specifically, Ms Scottow is said to have been interrogated for “deadnaming” trans activist Stephanie Hayden during an argument over whether trans people should be able to legally change gender through a simple self-identification process with little or no medical oversight.

    Hayden had made headlines in late 2018 for launching legal proceedings against leftist comedy writer Graham Linehan for using their male birth name, describing this as “a gross violation of my privacy and who gets to know this information about me… I am quite prepared to resort to the law if people cross the line.”

    Court action appears to have been taken against Scottow, also, with Deputy Judge Jason Coppel QC issuing an interim injunction against her which bans her from “referencing [Hayden] as a man” or alluding to Hayden’s “former male identity”.

    Hayden has previously backed campaigns to take down billboards sporting the dictionary definition of a woman as an “adult human female” as offensive, and to force academics who dispute whether someone born male can really become a woman to step down from university positions, according to The Times.”

    The two foremost representatives of Christianity and Islam, Pope Francis and Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb — the Grand Imam of Al Azhar who was once named the “most influential Muslim in the world” — just signed “A Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together.” The Document “forcefully rejects,” to quote Vatican News, “any justification of violence undertaken in the name of God,” and affirms “respect for believers of different faiths, the condemnation of all discrimination, the need to protect all places of worship, and the right to religious liberty, as well as the recognition of the rights of women.”

    The Document is being portrayed as a “historic pledge of fraternity” and applauded as a “historical breakthrough.” The problem is that one of the two men who signed it, Dr. al-Tayeb, has repeatedly contradicted — when speaking in Arabic and appearing on Arabic media — all the lofty sentiments it highlights.

    The Document, for example, asserts that,

      VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Francis will meet with migrants in Morocco and visit a training institute for imams that seeks to be a bulwark against Islamic extremism during his March 30-31 visit to the North African nation.

      The Vatican on Saturday released the schedule for the pope’s trip to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. It comes on the heels of Francis’ recent visit to the United Arab Emirates, where he signed a landmark “fraternity” document with a leading Sunni imam and sought to encourage moderate Islam and interfaith ties.

      During his visit, Francis will meet with King Mohammed VI as well as the country’s priests and religious sisters and celebrate Mass for the Catholic community.       ROME (AP) — Pope Francis has met with the founder of a Spanish aid group whose ship has been blocked from leaving port to resume rescuing migrants in the Mediterranean.

      It’s at least the second time that Francis has met with Oscar Camps, founder of Proactiva Open Arms.

      The Vatican said Saturday that Francis also met Friday with the mayors of Madrid and Barcelona, both of whom represent far-left, pro-migrant parties.

      Last month, Spanish authorities blocked the Open Arms’ ship from leaving Barcelona’s port, saying it violated maritime regulations on previous trips requiring rescued migrants to be brought to the nearest port.

      Open Arms has said it only brought the migrants to Spain because both Italy and Malta refused.

  39. A doctor has been “sacked” as a medical assessor for a government department after refusing to renounce his Christian belief that gender is determined at birth, the Sunday Telegraph can reveal.

    Dr David Mackereth has worked for 26 years as an NHS doctor but was told he could not be employed as a Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) disability assessor if he refused to identify patients as being of a sex that they did not see themselves as.

    The 55-year-old father of four believes sex is genetic and biological, so established at birth.

    He now claims his right to freedom of speech has been denied and he has been classed “unfit” to work for the department because of his religious convictions.

      The world’s insects are hurtling down the path to extinction, threatening a “catastrophic collapse of nature’s ecosystems”, according to the first global scientific review.

      More than 40% of insect species are declining and a third are endangered, the analysis found. The rate of extinction is eight times faster than that of mammals, birds and reptiles. The total mass of insects is falling by a precipitous 2.5% a year, according to the best data available, suggesting they could vanish within a century.

    The wounded man’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

    The Independent Office for Police Conduct and the Directorate of Professional Standards have been informed as inquiries continue.

    A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 03:55hrs on Saturday, 9 February to reports of a male seen in possession of a firearm in the vicinity of Lewisham Road, SE13.

    “The caller also raised concerns for the welfare of a woman at an address in Lewisham Road.

    “Officers, including armed officers, attended the scene and stopped a vehicle near to the junction with Blackheath Hill. A police firearm was discharged.

    “One man, believed aged in his 20s, was taken to a south hospital suffering a gunshot injury. His condition is not life-threatening. He has been arrested.

    “A further six males have been arrested; five for false imprisonment and one for possession of an offensive weapon.

    “Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.””
