This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

Germany: 17-year-old schoolgirl flees from “refugee” and is run over by bus+++
On Saturday evening, a female student at the Minden Central Bus Station (Photo above) was attacked by a 22-year-old man from Porta Westfalica and subsequently got under the front wheels of a bus. She suffered serious injuries to her legs. The perpetrator fled at first, but was later arrested. The suspect was brought before the Minden District Court on Sunday, which ordered her to be remanded in custody. Around 9 p.m. the young woman and her girlfriend were staying at the Central bus station in Linden street. Here she was repeatedly harassed by the Afghan man according to witness statements.According to the current state of the investigation, she and her 14-year-old companion fled from the central platform of the bus station to a bus that was just arriving. The attentive 41-year-old bus driver noticed this behavior and opened the door of the bus during the stopping process to take in the two teenagers. When they had entered the entrance area, the aggressor also approached the vehicle and rabidly pulled the 17-year-old back onto the road by her hair. The latter then fell and, according to witnesses, got under the bus that was still moving and rolled over her legs. The 22-year-old refugee then escaped together with a companion (21 y.o. ). While witnesses took care of the injured, the bus driver followed the men and wanted to take a photo of them to preserve evidence. Noticing this, the younger one stopped and slapped him.Alarmed police and emergency services arrived on site shortly afterwards. After emergency medical treatment, the young woman was seriously injured and admitted to Minden Hospital. The 22-year-old Afghan refugee was arrested near the crime scene according to witness reports, while the 21-year-old Afghan companion disturbed the police officers’ duties. He was taken into custody.

Sunday or yesterday, Scott Adams – a master persuader, in his periscope (which are always monitored by Trump’s people) made a very persuasive argument. I’ll butcher it, but it goes something like this:
During the election, ‘Build the Wall’ was a brilliant persuasive technique: simple and effective way to convey ‘border security’ in a visual – the most persuasive form – manner.
‘The Wall’ – as in, the words, are now very powerful and have a power of their own.
Since then, Trump’s base has become well educated on the types of border security measures necessary, and ‘The Wall’ is powerful shorthand for a number of measures to be built according to what is needed where. So, if Trump delivered that, without calling it ‘The Wall’ – his base is happy, promise fulfilled.
But, the Democrats have made a mistake in persuasiveness when they claimed that they are for ‘border security’ just not ‘The Wall’…because now, Trump can diffuse the words ‘The Wall’ and they will have to give him his ‘steel barrier’ or whatever else he chooses as the new term for ‘The Wall’.
And that is a tremendous power Trump now holds over the Democrats – but only if he himself gets past the term ‘The Wall’.
In other words, if Trumps starts to call it something different, the Dems will have to give it to him, and his base will know that they got their ‘The Wall’.

Note: My friend and I were almost victims of this… At a protest where we were outnumbered by Antifa, he videoed an young Antifa female (I think) assaulting me while I was sitting on my walker – bad optics, so she smashed his phone out of his hand, breaking it in the process.
I started screaming that she was an ablist and was shoving her able bodies privilege at me and oppressing me – so she gave up on me…
She then proceeded to shove her breasts into my friend and screaming ‘sexual assault’ while her buddies videoed the ‘assault’. I got up squeezed myself in between and started screaming in her face that she is sexually assaulting him.
No sooner did she realize I would continue to use her tactic right back at her then she stepped back…and got herself kicked out of the protest by the leader of the Antifa group. I guess she failed twice at becoming the ‘victim’, so she was a liability.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s congressional delegation (CODEL) to Belgium, Egypt and Afghanistan garnered extra attention after President Donald Trump banned her from using military aircraft, but the trip would not have been the first time she used Air Force money to travel the world.

EMMANUEL Macron and Angela Merkel faced a ‘Yellow Vest’ backlash as they launched their latest attempt to take full control of the European Union and create a bloc-wide army.
This morning, the French President and German Chancellor signed off on the Aachen treaty, the latest Franco-German bid to strong-arm the EU under their control. But the pair faced furious protests from the so-called ‘Yellow Vest’ movement, who have blighted Mr Macron’s leadership of France in recent weeks. The extension to the Elysee Treaty, which affirmed the two nations’ post-war reconciliation in 1963, was signed at a ceremony in the German border city of Aachen.

She added the treaty reinforces the “foundation of cooperation between our countries”.
“Seventy-four years, a single human lifetime, after the end of World War II, what seems self-evident is being called into question again.
“That’s why, first of all, there needs to be a new commitment toward our responsibility within the European Union, a responsibility held by Germany and France.”
Mr Macron hit out at those “spreading lies” about the treaty.
He said: “Those who forget the value of French-German reconciliation are making themselves accomplices of the crimes of the past.
“Those who spread lies are hurting the same people they are pretending to defend by seeking to repeat our history.”
Donald Tusk, the EU Council President, hailed the accord. The bloc’s most senior official said: “Today Europe needs revival of faith in meaning of solidarity and unity.
“Europe needs clear signal from Paris and Berlin that strengthened cooperation in small formats is not an alternative to cooperation of all of Europe.
The treaty has been the source of much criticism across the EU because of fears that the Franco-German axis is seeking to strengthen its position at the top of the bloc.
As Mrs Merkel waited to welcome Mr Macron at the Aachen town hall, protesters gathered outside to vent their anger wearing yellow hi-vis vests, a symbol of the grassroots rebellion against the French President.
Alexander Gauland, leader in parliament of the Alternative for Germany, said: “French President Macron cannot maintain order in his own country. The nationwide protests in France are never ending. So it is inappropriate, if this failing president imposes visions on us for the future of Germany.”
He added: “The EU is now deeply divided. A German-French special relationship will alienate us even further from the other Europeans.”
The leader of France’s National Rally, Marine Le Pen, accused Mr Macron of “an act that borders on treason”.
As part of a German effort to secure greater global influence, the treaty sets out a diplomatic pledge to work towards Germany being accepted as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
Germany and France will both remain committed to the EU and NATO defence alliance despite the new Franco-German accord.
The pair are attempting to throw down the gauntlet amid the new international challenges from US President Donald Trump and EU governments in Poland, Italy and Hungary.
It is also an effort to head off eurosceptic parties in the European Parliament vote in May.
Reacting to the signing, Guy Verhofstadt, the liberal EU Parliament leader, said: “Once we fought, now we talk!
“Peace and unity is the foundation of the European Union. Let’s reform Europe, instead of destroying it. A strong Franco-German alliance is crucial to moving Europe forward.”
Claire Demesmay, a political scientist at German research institute DGAP, said: “We’re seeing an existential crisis in terms of European integration, with Brexit and the expected strengthening of nationalists at the next European elections.
“In this context, confirming this belief in Franco-German cooperation has symbolic value.”

For the first time in its history, the American Psychological Association released a report to assist psychologists working with men and boys. One of the biggest “takeaways” of the report alludes to a crisis of masculinity: “traditional masculinity—marked by stoicism, competitiveness, dominance and aggression—is, on the whole, harmful.”
The report alludes to the dangers of men conforming to “masculine norms,” citing a correlation between such conformity and a propensity to engage in risky and unhealthy behavior. While the report is helpful in noting dangerous trends in male mental health, it ignores another crisis of masculinity that may actually be exacerbated by such public shaming of masculinity—rapidly dropping testosterone levels from generation to generation.

“You enter Italy by saying ‘May I come in’ and ‘Please,’” Mr. Salvini said in a Tweet to his followers, explaining that by combatting illegal immigration he was also fighting human trafficking and the drug trade.
Decrying smugglers and human traffickers, Salvini said he had evidence that “with the money they make—around 3,000 euro for every person they put on the boat—they buy arms and drugs. So stopping the trafficking of human beings does not just mean stopping immigration, but it also means blocking weapon and drug trafficking.”
“So as long as you keep saying, ‘it’s the last boatload, it’s the last boatload, it’s the last boatload,’ the smugglers continue doing their dirty and criminal work,” he said in a television interview he attached to his Tweet.
“My objective, as we are already doing, is to invest money in Africa because I recall that with six euros a day you can give a child room, board, education, healthcare,” he said.
Asked by the television interviewer why the European Union has not adopted this commonsense approach, Salvini said that there are other interests at work.
“First, some people benefit from mass immigration,” Salvini said. “For example, before I arrived, there was an immigration budget of six billion euros. How many people ate out of this trough?”
Many came forward saying what kind and generous people they were, asking for government funding so they could assist the migrants, Salvini noted.
“No, you are not kind and generous, you are a thief, because you exploit these people to your advance own business,” he said.
“Also, in Europe there are certain leftist governments who believe that everybody has a right to go anywhere and there should be no borders,” he added.
“I am interested in what I have done for Italy and for the Italians,” the minister concluded. “I am proud of it. It has cost me I don’t know how many legal complaints; I don’t care, as long as I am interior minister, you come into Italy only by asking permission and saying ‘please.’”
Despite harsh criticism and name-calling from the Catholic hierarchy in the country, Mr. Salvini is immensely popular among rank-and-file Catholics.
Last Sunday, the World Economic Forum (WEF) released the results of a survey, just before its annual summit in Davos, showing that more than two thirds of Italians consider immigration to be “mostly bad” for the country.
“The rise of populism, nationalism and protectionism are all associated with waning support for globalization,” WEF acknowledges on its website.
Another recent poll revealed that only a small minority of Italians (19 percent) would like the government to reopen the country’s closed ports to migrants.
Only 12 percent of those surveyed say that it is the responsibility of individual states in whose territorial waters the migrant ships have arrived to resolve the situation.
A significant majority of Italians (64 percent) are favorable to Matteo Salvini’s decision to close the country’s ports, and this preference spans all social segments regardless of gender, age, educational qualifications, employment status, or religious faith, including Catholics who regularly attend mass, the poll found.
Last February, a Europe-wide survey revealed widespread concern over illegal immigration with more than three-quarters of EU citizens saying that Europe’s external borders should be more tightly controlled.
While 78 percent of all Europeans believe that illegal immigration into their countries is a problem, more citizens in every single European country say that it is a “serious problem” than say it is not a problem or not a very serious problem, the poll found.”

“Migrant youths make up nearly half of the unemployed youth in France, according to statistics gathered by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
The figures were released at a workshop organised by the OECD and the Association of Economic and Financial Journalists (AJEF) and reveal that 2.85 million individuals aged 15-34 are not in employment, education or training — also known as “NEET” — and that 40 percent of them either were born abroad or were born in France to at least one immigrant parent, Le Figaro reports.
As a result of the statistics, the European Union (EU) has called on France to do more in order to better integrate individuals from migrant backgrounds into the labour market.
In total, the labour pool of French youth is around 15.75 million individuals, leading to a rate of labour inactivity around 18.1 percent.
The OECD also released similar figures for other countries including Switzerland, Germany, and Sweden with averages of the rate of NEET individuals being lower for natives than for those with a migration background.
Unemployment in Sweden, in particular, has shown to be far higher in recent years among migrants than among natives, with a report from last year by the Swedish Public Employment Service revealing that while overall employment had decreased, there remained a large gap between migrants and native Swedes.
In one of Sweden’s most heavily migrant-populated major cities, the southern city of Malmö, the effect has been clear, with the city having nearly double the unemployment rate compared to the Swedish national average.
In Germany, the country’s Federal Employment Agency (BA) reported last year that migrants made up more than half of the recipients of “Hartz IV”, the German welfare benefit. The highest number of migrants on benefits are originally from Syria, with a total of 584,000 Syrians receiving welfare.”

“Belgian Senator and former Secretary-General of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) Alain Destexhe has slammed “elites” for their handling of mass migration and the lack of debate on the long-term effects of migration.
The veteran Belgian politician, who was first elected in 1995, released a book entitled Immigration and Integration: Before It’s Too Late… last month, which sounds the alarm on integration problems and other issues stemming from the migrant crisis. Dr Destexhe discussed his book and explained his concerns in a recent interview with French newspaper Le Figaro.
Destexhe claims that Belgium, along with other countries like France, has “lost control” of immigration, saying: “About three-quarters of immigration, in Belgium as in France, is beyond the control of the country’s administrative authorities.
“This immigration, over which we have almost no control, comes either through family reunion [chain migration], through an asylum application, or illegally.”
“A large part of the immigrant population is not integrated, neither economically (it depends strongly on the social system), nor culturally, which is even more serious: they live according to value systems that are sometimes incompatible with our laws, our history, and our traditions,” he added.
“Family reunion” is one of the major concerns for Destexhe, who noted that chain migration accounted for around half of the total immigration into Belgium. He also singled out Belgium’s formerly lax naturalisation laws that were changed in 2012, saying that they led to Brussels being nearly one-third “new Belgians”.
“I think it’s a world record,” he said.
On the topic of the “right of asylum,” Destexhe referred to the asylum process as a new “Eldorado” for migrants: “In Belgium, you have a system of free care, free education, a guaranteed income for society, effective police and justice: I use the word Eldorado.”
Focusing the blame for the 2015 migrant crisis solely on German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Destexhe said: “During the refugee crisis, I made a trip to Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan: the lives of refugees were not threatened! They lived in difficult conditions, it’s true, but they were not in danger.”
“To say that they had to be welcomed because their life was threatened was a form of manipulation. We had to help them, it’s a certainty! But we had to do it on the spot, we did not have to let them come to Europe,” he explained.
Destexhe’s views are a stark contrast to the current leadership of Médecins Sans Frontières, which has been at the forefront of migrant ferry activity in the Mediterranean Sea and only cancelled their operations last month due to pressure from the populist Italian government and others.
The interview is also not the first time Destexhe has spoken out about mass migration. Last year, writing for Le Figaro, he again slammed the elites, saying they concealed demographic trends and changes, and blaming “the multiculturalist lobby which dominates universities, NGOs, public institutions and the media.””

Senior investigating officer Mark Glover, of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: ‘These men’s behaviour was predatory, callous and designed purely to sexually exploit a vulnerable teenage girl.
‘She put her trust in them at a time when she felt lonely and friendless. These men pretended to be her friends when in fact they only wanted to subject her to sexual abuse…”

30 Rohingyas who were roaming inside Indian territory in search of livelihood have been detained by the authorities in the north-eastern state of Assam. The group, comprising 12 children and a few women, were travelling to Guwahati, the capital of Assam, from the neighbouring state Tripura when the police identified and nabbed them, reports newspaper The Assam Tribune.
“During routine interrogation at the check-post, these Rohingyas were found without valid documents. They have violated the Passport Act hence steps would be taken accordingly. Further investigation is in progress”, a senior police official, Inom Saikia, told The Assam Tribune on Tuesday.
Another police official told Sputnik on condition of anonymity that during the interrogation, all of the Rohingyas confessed that they came to Tripura from Jammu via Delhi last week. After spending three days in Agartala, the capital of Tripura, they were unable to find work; therefore they decided to travel to Guwahati. They also revealed that a local named Raju had brought them to northeast India from Jammu by promising to assist them in finding jobs.
The police suspect that the Rohingyas originally planned to cross over to Bangladesh via Tripura, but strict vigil at the border failed their attempts.
A similar attempt by 31 Rohingyas, including nine children and six women, were foiled last week by the border forces after they were stranded between the Indian barbed wire border fencing and the border pillars demarcating India and Bangladesh.
In the last few weeks, hundreds of Rohingyas in India have started fleeing to Bangladesh after the Indian government tightened the noose around them in terms of gathering their biometric data and other such details.

Egyptian TV Debate: Polygamy as a Solution to Egypt’s “Spinster Crisis”
During a debate about polygamy that aired on December 23, 2018, on Al-Rahma TV (Egypt), pro-polygamy activist Saber Ghanem said that Egypt has a “ticking time bomb” of 11 million women who are past the age of marriage.
He explained that everyone, including these women, have natural needs that urges that need to be satisfied, and that some men have particularly powerful sexual urges, and he argued that polygamy addresses this problem.
He also said that while the first wife is most important, a man can marry another wife if his first wife falls ill.

In August 2017 he handed himself over to Turkish authorities, asking to be returned home.
It is not clear whether the verdict will be appealed.

The five were sentenced from one to seven years in jail and also fined 600 to 3,500 Euros ($680 to $4,100) each.

Saudi prince ‘commissioned porn films in Paris but never paid bill’
Saudi Arabia’s late foreign minister Prince Saud al Faisal had porn films made in Paris for his private consumption but then never paid the bill, according to a French company suing to recover the cash it says it spent making the erotic movies.[…]
The concierge services firm that says it organised the films for the late Prince Saud al Faisal – the Saudi foreign minister for 40 years until his death in 2015 – says his heirs are refusing to pay the debt of 90,000 euros for the movies and other services allegedly ordered by Faisal’s representative.
One of the films allegedly shows a Moroccan woman – described in the lawsuit as having “privileged relations” with the prince – frolicking with a porn star.
The lawsuit filed by the firm, which is called SARL Atyla, says the company has not yet sent the films in as evidence for the court but that it may have to present them if its demands are not satisfied.
The Saudi prince was a regular visitor to Paris where he stayed in a plush apartment on Avenue Bugeaud in the west of the city, which is now co-owned by his sons and daughters.
Lengthy email exchanges between SARL Atyla and the prince’s representative contain detailed instructions about what is to happen in the films, three of which were made earlier this decade.
Copies of the emails were filed as supporting documents in the lawsuit, which The Local has obtained.
“Important, the male must dominate his companion not with violence but by using his skills and capabilities and his God-given gift,” says a note on one of the scripts, which contain a variety of steamy scenes that take place in lifts, hotel rooms and plush apartments.
The scripts and scene outlines were sent between the concierge firm and the representative, who sometimes answers that “he” – without specifying who “he” is – “does not like it” and wants new ideas sent over.
“He still does not like it… He does not like blindfold and being tied. Make a new one,” is one example of the various rejections the concierge firm received.
The lawyer suing for the porn bills to be paid, Ivan Itzkovitch, declined to speak publicly on the case, that was first revealed by French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche.
But the lawsuit he filed with a court in the Paris suburb of Nanterre shows that his client is in no doubt that Prince Saud al Faisal was the person ordering the films and sending instructions – via his assistant – on how the films were to be made.
In a supporting document the suit included a photo of what it said was the editing room where two men worked on screens allegedly showing the Moroccan woman in a sexual position with the black porn star.
The suit also said the Saudi prince had left the Moroccan a luxury apartment in Paris in his will.
SARL Atyla, the concierge firm, is suing a company called SCI 25 avenue Bugeaud to recover the alleged debt. An SCI is a specialised type of company often used in France for the management of family property.
25 avenue Bugeaud is the address of the villa that the Saudi prince and his family used when they were in the French capital.
SCI 25 avenue Bugeaud, the name of the company that managed that property, is listed in official company records as being co-owned by Lana Saud Al-Faisal, the prince’s daughter, and four of her siblings.
When asked for comment in the case, the lawyer for SCI 25 avenue Bugeaud did not respond.
But in its official legal response the company wrote that it rejected the lawsuit, arguing that “the reality of expenses and services mentioned is not… justified” and demanding that the plaintiff be ordered to pay 3,000 euro sin damages.
The response said that SCI 25 avenue Bugeaud had never ordered any services from SARL Atyla, and it made no reference to porn films.
The Saudi embassy in Paris did not respond when contacted for comment on the legal case.

Court Rules Against French Company in Saudi Prince Porn Film Scandal
The deceased Saudi prince was accused of commissioning adult movies allegedly featuring his Moroccan girlfriend.
Rabat – A French court in Nanterre, near Paris, has said that a French company did not make its case against the late Saudi Prince Saud Al Faisal. The company, Atyla, accused Al Faisal of commissioning adult movies without paying for them.
The court ruled that Atyla did not prove the presence of a contract with SCI Bugeaud, owned by several members of the Saudi royal family.
Al Faisal, who died in 2015, had served as foreign minister of Saudi Arabia.
Quoting the court’s decision, AFP reported that Atyla “does not produce any contractual document justifying that the late Saudi Prince ordered services of a pornographic nature and in particular the realization of a film of this nature.”
The court sentenced Atyla to pay €5,000 in damages to SCI for reputational loss.
During the trial, Atyla’s lawyer asserted that the Saudi prince asked the company to film three pornographic videos of his alleged Moroccan girlfriend.
EuroNews reported that the sudden death of the prince in 2015 following a heart attack prevented payment of the dues. Atyla then asked Al Faisal’s daughters and relatives of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to pay the fees.
The company accused the late prince of owing them more than €90,000.
Newsweek reported in April 2018 that the only evidence of the scandal was email and mobile messages between Boyle Antolin Dugenian, an alleged personal assistant of the late prince, and Atyla’s manager, Marc Paulay.
The messages about the film include discussing the date and location of shooting and scripts.
“He does not like blindfold and being tied. Make a new one,” Dugenia wrote in an alleged email “in response to a script describing the female character, played by the prince’s Moroccan friend, being tied up and blindfolded,” according to Newsweek.

An article in a recent peer-reviewed academic journal, International Journal of Sexual Health, ponders the question: Do past-life memories have a connection to transgenderism? Unsurprisingly, the study found just that.
In part, the study found that:
“The possibility that children’s past-life statements may be fantasies independent of any parental influence merits further attention as well. Can preexisting GNC lead a child to report past-life memories specifically as a member of a different sex, as if playing out gender nonconforming tendencies in fantasy? Several points argue against this possibility. First, although it is impossible to rule out that in some of these cases the child’s statements and behaviors may be rooted in fantasy, in more than half of our cases the idiosyncratic details of the past life have been found to match the life of an actual deceased individual. When limiting our analysis to such cases only, we find an equally strong association between GNC and memories of a life as a member of a different sex.”
That’s right, past-life memories due to reincarnation is considered a legitimate field of academic study. The study authors don’t go so far as to right out say that this is a case of a soul in the wrong-sexed body, but the influence of “previous lives” is not a new area of study when it comes to shaping “personality development” in addition to (or perhaps in lieu of) genetics or environment.

Childhood Gender Nonconformity and Children’s Past-Life Memories

Objectives: This study examines childhood gender nonconformity (GNC) in conjunction with the phenomenon in which young children describe memories of a purported previous life.
Methods: In a case-control study of 469 children reporting past-life memories, we used logistic regression to examine predictors of GNC, measured by documented gender nonconforming behaviors.
Results: Children who remembered a life involving a different natal sex were much more likely to exhibit GNC than children who remembered a same-sex life. Conclusions: After exploring potential explanations, we conclude that past-life memories represent a novel factor that may be associated with the development of GNC.

PRAYER SPACES IN SUBWAY STATION
This petition is to Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to create prayer spaces in subway facilities like those that already exists in Tokyo or other cities around the world.
Abu Ubaydah Islamic Centre (BIN: 281266692) is a non for profit organization affiliated with Zancana community centre filing this petition to TTC and the Mayor’s Office in Toronto, Ontario. We are petitioning for prayer spaces (partitions) to be assembled in main subway stations that already have washrooms.

Like meditation and exercise, prayer has been part of Muslim individuals practice for the past 1400 years. Muslims are obligated to pray five times a day and it varies between 5:00 am to 12:00 midnight; during which each prayer should be performed within a limited time frame and completed prior to the next. It’s understandable that Muslims can pray anywhere; however, having a clean and private space will help individuals who can’t make it home to catch their prayer more at ease while travelling with the TTC.
As a community we already have or could continue to have spaces like these in schools, in colleges, in universities, in hospitals, in malls and even at the airports.
Being able to have a space to pray in subway stations with washrooms will help individuals perform the ritual washing called “wudhu” before each prayer while on their daily journey. Muslims must be clean before they pray, and masjids have washing facilities; however, any washroom with clean water can meet the requirements.
In the next 30 – 60 days we would like to collect 1000 to 10,000 signatures for our petition to get a response from the government of Toronto. This petition vows to get as many Muslim communities involved in the project to help raise awareness and show the need vs. want. This petition will be sent out in person, through e-mail and e-petition format by January 20th, 2019 to all individuals. In anticipation of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, which the public may or may not get to see, leftist Democrats have escalated the conflict. The original charge was that candidate Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election. That was later stepped up to “cooperation,” and now Donald Trump as a full-blown Russian agent under control of the Kremlin.
As Johnny Rivers might say, Trump is Russia’s secret agent man, allegedly proved by Trump meeting with Putin, pondering an exit from NATO, firing James Comey and such. As he dealt with this charge on the January 15 “Ingraham Angle” on Fox News, former U.S. Attorney Joseph DiGenova said “Barack Obama is the real Russian agent.”
The statement drew little response in the establishment media and internet, perhaps the Trump-phobe squads believe it unworthy of response. On the other hand, it invites the question of what a report from a Mueller-style inquiry, with all the resources of the FBI and the 16-member “Intelligence Community” might look like.

One thing that’s clear about the Mueller investigation at this point: it’s not going to bring down Trump. In 19 months, it hasn’t uncovered anything to bring him down for. It’s been going down rat-holes left and right, abusing people with life-altering legal jeopardy, lawyer fees, and process-crime spinning. But it has yet to even define a crime of which to suspect the Trump 2016 campaign organization, much less uncover one.
Meanwhile, the net effect of the process has been to expose the complicit connections – to a vast anti-Trump effort – of U.S. government officials, the Obama administration, the Hillary Clinton campaign, the Democratic Party leadership, an array of lobbyists, law firms, and consultants, big-money donors (on the right as well as the left), the media, and even foreign actors like the intelligence and diplomatic services of the British Commonwealth.
Because of the Mueller probe, and the leads attributed to it in incessant media “leaks,” we know far more now about the repellent things dozens of anti-Trump people were doing in 2016 than we would ever know without it. We know about practically everything we are now aware of – things to the discredit of Trump’s attackers – because of the effort being waged against Trump. The more they try to place and spin allegations about Trump, the more we discover about who these people are and what they’ve been doing.

Khan’s London: Second World War Memorial Desecrated, Churchill Statue Vandalised
A memorial to the tens of thousands of Bomber Command air crew who lost their lives during the Second World War has been vandalised in London, along with a nearby statue of wartime leader Sir Winston Churchill.
The memorial in London’s Green Park has been splattered with a large amount of white paint, “including the statue of eight Bomber Command crew members which stands at its centre, the marble plinth it stands upon and the surrounding Portland stone.”
So far, no arrests have been made, but the Metropolitan Police are said to be investigating CCTV footage from the site.

Not to be outdone, two PhDs writing in Psychology Today declared that “the human race faces extinction” if we don’t stop burning fossil fuels. And yet “even people who experience extreme weather events often still refuse to report the experiences as a manifestation of climate change.” Psychologists, they lament, “have never had to face denial on this scale before.”

Oaths on eagle feathers to be allowed in Manitoba RCMP detachments
WINNIPEG—The head of the RCMP in Manitoba says providing an eagle feather to people swearing oaths is a positive step toward reconciliation with Indigenous communities.
Assistant Commissioner Scott Kolody says officers work closely with Indigenous people every day and he hopes providing an eagle feather will show mutual respect and trust.
Victims, witnesses and suspects until now have had the option to swear on a Bible or make an affirmation before giving a statement.
“For some the eagle feather provides comfort and strength in their most difficult times. By holding the eagle feather, they find the strength to talk and are empowered to speak the truth,” Kolody said at a news conference Tuesday.
“This is what inspired us to bring the eagle feather into our day-to-day police operations.”
Mounties will also be allowed to use the feathers to swear in information in court.
Kevin Hart, regional chief of the Assembly of First Nations, said he requested a feather during his own experience with the justice system, because the Bible can be linked to the traumatizing history of residential schools — but at the time it wasn’t allowed.
“This is just one of those bridges right now we see to help our people in dealing with the justice system and the RCMP,” he said.
RCMP in Nova Scotia were the first to provide eagle feathers in 2017 and as of last November they’ve been allowed in that province’s courts. Hart said he hopes access to the feathers will expand to every area of the country.
Eagle feathers hold a special place in many Indigenous cultures. Hart said they are a symbol of peace, love and a connectedness with the Creator.
The feathers for the Manitoba RCMP were taken from two eagles provided by the province’s wildlife branch. Elder Wanbdi Wakita cleansed the plumage during a special ceremony.
The feathers will be placed in red folders, which will also include protocols for how they are to be treated, before they are sent to 87 different locations.
Grand Chief Jerry Daniels, who represents First Nations in southern Manitoba, said he recognizes there have been conflicts between Indigenous people and law enforcement. But he said he hopes the feather will be a step toward repairing the relationship.
“Our faith in the Creator is hopefully that things will be guided in the right direction, and the eagle feather and the spirit of that will hopefully move the direction of the RCMP, and the work that’s done with the RCMP, where it’s supposed to go,” he said.

The Manitoba RCMP held a ceremony at Headquarters today to launch the eagle feather initiative. This initiative will see eagle feathers distributed to all detachments throughout the province and will provide victims, witnesses, suspects and police officers the option to swear legal oaths on an eagle feather.
The eagle feather will be used the same way as the Bible or affirmation is currently used. When someone provides a sworn statement to the RCMP, they will be given three options: to swear on a Bible, affirm, or affirm with an eagle feather. This means that a sworn statement given by any of these three methods is evidence that can be used in a court of law. It also means that a police officer will be able to use the eagle feather to swear information before the court. Additionally, the eagle feather may also be offered as a comfort for anyone who wishes when they are at the detachment.
“For some, the eagle feather provides comfort and strength. By holding the eagle feather, they find the strength to talk, and are empowered to speak their truth,” said Assistant Commissioner Scott Kolody, Commanding Officer of Manitoba RCMP. “This is what inspired us to bring the eagle feather into our day-to-day policing operations.”
Anyone who requests to use the eagle feather will be able to do so as every detachment in Manitoba will be receiving an eagle feather shortly.

Puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones: Canada’s family doctors get guidance on treating youth with ‘gender dysphoria’
Hormone suppression can delay puberty and give youth “more time to make decisions about transitioning,” write the authors of a new review.
Canada’s family doctors are getting new guidance on how to manage the burgeoning number of teens identifying as transgender.
A new review article published Monday urges doctors to take a “thoughtful, affirming” approach and to avoid “influencing the adolescent to move down a path they would not have chosen for themselves.”
“The youth’s voice is always paramount,” the authors write in a special issue on transgender health appearing in this week’s edition of the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
A recent Canadian study found less than half of transgender youth are comfortable discussing their health care needs with their family doctor.
“Although the consensus in the medical community in the 1960s and 1970s was to view gender variance through a disease model in which associated behaviours, expression and declared identity were deemed pathological and in need of correction,” the authors write in the CMAJ, “the current approach is an affirming one that does not view gender variance as pathological.”
With wait lists at specialty gender clinics stretching a year or longer, the review offers family doctors advice on supporting the social and medical transitioning of teens with “gender dysphoria” — psychiatry’s label for the distress that may accompany the incongruence or mismatch between the gender one identifies with, and one’s gender “assigned” at birth.
The article provides recommendations on the timing of prescribing hormone blockers to suppress puberty as well as “cross-sex” hormones — estrogens so that a trans girl develops a more feminized figure and testosterone to give trans boys a more angular jaw and masculine physique.
The review comes as divorced parents fight complex and messy legal battles over who gets to decide the course of hormone treatments for their transgender teen, and as experts report more youth with no known histories of gender identity issues in the past suddenly identifying as transgender. A recent controversial study on so-called “rapid-onset gender dysphoria” suggested “social and peer contagion” could be behind “cluster outbreaks” of gender dysphoria among friends , and that some teens (mostly trans boys, female to male) are being influenced by social media, including YouTube transitioning videos. The study, based on parental reports, has been attacked by transgender advocates as seriously methodologically flawed and is now being reviewed by the journal that published it.
However, the authors of the CMAJ article also note that the sex ratio of teens presenting to transgender clinics appears to be changing, “with many more youth who are assigned female gender at birth seeking care than those assigned male.”
The reason for the phenomenon isn’t clear.
On Saturday, the Post’s Douglas Quan reported that the number of referrals to the gender clinic at B.C. Children’s Hospital rose from seven in 2007, to 80 in 2017. The transgender clinic at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children sees over 200 referrals each year.
Dr. Joey Bonifacio, an adolescent medicine specialist at Toronto’s St. Michael’s Hospital and a co-author of the CMAJ review article, said the approach to care has moved away from a “Drop the Barbie” approach, “where it was deemed almost like you should ‘correct’ a child’s behaviour or a child’s identity.”
“The opposite side of that is you don’t even address gender at all — the watch-and wait approach. You avoid it and see what happens.”
Instead, “The validating and affirming approach is an approach that gives you a bit of both of those, in the sense that you should address it, but maybe you shouldn’t try to correct it either, but see where the youth is and where the parents are, and working together as a team so that that youth is functioning well, both physically and mentally.”
Precise numbers in Canada are unknown, but studies from other countries suggest about one to four per cent of teens identify as a different gender from their birth gender.
It’s recommend hormone blockers be given only once puberty starts — on average, at age 10-and-a-half for children born female, and 11-and-a-half in those “assigned” male gender at birth. “Some youth find that their dysphoria abates as puberty starts, making it important to allow initial pubertal changes to occur,” the authors write.
However, the drugs can also buy youth time “to explore their gender identity and expression without having to worry about ongoing pubertal changes and development of secondary sexual characteristics that may be psychologically disturbing and undesired.”
The drugs are used to block the hormones that normally increase during puberty. For youth also struggling with mood and anxiety disorders, they can act as a pause button, Bonifacio said. “We’re not moving in one direction or another … I tell families that it allows you to take a deep breath, but a very long breath, so you have more time to figure stuff out and gather more information.”
The Endocrine Society, an international medical organization, says cross-sex or “gender-affirming” hormones may be administered around age 16, or as young as 13-and-a-half in special circumstances.
However, Bonifacio and his co-authors say “many youth understandably express the desire to go through puberty in their affirmed gender at similar ages to their peers, which would necessitate starting gender-affirming hormones at even younger ages.”
That troubles one leading U.S. expert, who worries that, without proper assessments by trained mental health experts, family doctors could be too quick to prescribe cross-sex hormones, which come with some irreversible body changes. Testosterone for female-to-male can cause a permanent deepening of the voice. Estrogen for male-to-female transitioning causes breast development.
Puberty blockers can be lifesavers for many transgender youth, said Dr. Laura Edwards-Leeper, a clinical psychologist who helped create the first hospital-based clinic in the U.S. for transgender youth at Boston Children’s Hospital in 2007.
“There are certainly youth who persist in their gender dysphoria,” she said. “But it’s also not uncommon to have youth who, a couple of weeks ago, decided that, after talking with a friend or researching on the Internet that maybe they’re transgender.”
Without a thorough mental health assessment, “the risk is that teens may be started on irreversible medical interventions that really aren’t appropriate, and they may later regret it.”
The CMAJ special edition also recommends doctors use medical forms and documents that include options other than “male” and “female” and that they address transgender youth in the name and pronoun they go by, including non-binary ones like “they” and “ze.” A growing number of youth are identifying with genders outside the male-female binary, the authors write, with many born female identifying as “transmasculine,” or a gender identity that is “not male” but also not female.

An Oxford Union talk by French far-right activist Marion Marechal-Le Pen sparked a protest.
The former MP for the French National Front (FN) is the niece of party leader Marine Le Pen and had a leading role in anti-gay marriage rallies.
Protest organisers said the debating society’s invitations to far-right speakers helped embolden their racist views.
The Oxford Union said it respected people’s “right to peaceful protest”.
