“Boris Johnson did not break any Tory Party rules when he compared women wearing burkas to ‘bank robbers’, a disciplinary panel has ruled.
The former Foreign Secretary was at the centre of a race row four months ago after making the comparison in a newspaper column, also saying the women looked like ‘letterboxes’.
An independent legal panel ruled that Mr Johnson was not in breach of party rules and was entitled to use ‘satire’ to make his point.
Last night he told the Daily Mail: ‘They have said I did, by my piece, actually foster respect and tolerance for the wearing of the burka, which is the opposite of what I was accused of. I have been vindicated.’
In August Theresa May called for Mr Johnson to apologise, saying his comments had ‘clearly caused offence’, but the Uxbridge MP refused. Tory chairman Brandon Lewis also demanded an apology.
Mr Johnson had said that while he found it ‘ridiculous’ that women should ‘choose to go around looking like letterboxes [or] a bank robber’, it was within their rights to do so. He added ‘a total ban is not the answer’.
After the Tories received dozens of complaints following his column in the Daily Telegraph, the matter was referred to an independent panel.
It examined whether Mr Johnson breached a party rule that requires MPs to ‘foster respect and tolerance’. Dismissing the complaints, the panel ruled: ‘In a democratic society it should be careful not to be over-zealous in its scrutiny or censure of language.
‘The Code does not override an individual’s right to freedom of expression … and should not be read in such a way as to deprive party representatives of that entitlement.’
The independent panel, led by Naomi Ellenbogen QC, said Mr Johnson’s language could be considered ‘provocative’ but it would be ‘unwise to censor excessively the language of party representatives or the use of satire to emphasise a viewpoint, particularly a viewpoint that is not subject to criticism’.
An ally of Mr Johnson told the Telegraph: ‘Questions will now be asked about why the party chairman decided to waste large amounts of party funds on this ridiculous witch-hunt in the first place.
‘His decision to launch a very high-profile attack on Boris and call for an apology was very poor judgment and stinks of hapless political game-playing.’
Sources close to Mr Lewis said Tory Party rules meant it had no choice but to investigate after it received a number of complaints over Mr Johnson.”

“Amid high tensions between Ankara and Washington over Russian-made S-400 air defence systems, the US State Department has announced the possible sale of Patriot missile system to Turkey.
A source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry told Sputnik that the S-400 systems would be used independently of NATO systems, adding that the purchase of the Russian-made systems would not affect the F-35 jet deal.
“The S-400 will be used […]in such a way so as not to cause damage to the F-35 fighters or disclose sensitive information related to the jets,” the source said.
The source also didn’t confirm Bloomberg’s report, which said that Ankara was ready to hand over the S-400s to US technicians for research. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov later said in a comment on the report that the Moscow-Ankara deal stipulates Turkey’s non-disclosure of certain data.
The Bloomberg report came on the heels of an announcement that the US had approved a potential $3.5 billion sale of Patriot air and missile defence systems to Turkey. The proposed agreement includes up to 140 Patriot missiles, radar and ground control stations, and must be approved by Congress.
Russia and Turkey inked a loan agreement for the supply of S-400 air defence systems to Ankara last year. The deal triggered disagreement between Ankara and Washington, with the latter threatening to impose sanctions against Turkey, as the United States believes that the weapon is incompatible with NATO’s defences.
Despite pressure from Washington, Ankara has on multiple occasions warned it against freezing F-35 deliveries, and threatened to take retaliatory measures.”
The House of Representatives Thursday approved a bill that would fund most of the federal government through early February — and provides $5.7 billion for President Trump’s long-promised border wall, increasing the chances of a partial government shutdown later this week.
Eight Republicans joined all 177 voting Democrats to oppose the measure, which passed 217-185. The bill now goes to the Senate, where it is certain to fall short of the 60 votes needed for passage since the chamber’s 49 Democrats are against funding the wall. That, in turn, makes it more likely that parts of the federal government, including nine of 15 Cabinet-level departments and dozens of agencies, will cease operations at midnight Friday.
The vote came hours after Trump told House GOP leaders that he would not enact a Senate-passed package that does not provide money for the barrier.

Gatwick’s runway has reopened after drones caused the airport to shut down for more than a day.
The airport said the runway was “currently available” and 765 flights were scheduled for departure and arrival.
Chief executive officer Chris Woodroofe told the BBC police have not yet found the operator of the drones.
But he said extra “mitigating measures” from the government and military had given him “confidence to reopen”.
Thousands of passengers remain stranded at Gatwick as police continue their search for those responsible.
Flights were brought to a standstill after devices were seen over the airfield on Wednesday and Thursday.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) vetoed protections for gun owners on Wednesday and criticized Republican lawmakers for not giving him a firearm confiscation bill to sign.
NBC4 and the AP reported that the bill Kasich vetoed would have put the onus on the state in situations where a Ohioan claimed self-defense in shooting incident.
Kasich said:
This bill would reverse the burden of proof in criminal cases in which the defendant alleges he or she acted in self-defense. The bill would require the prosecution to disprove, beyond a reasonable doubt, the defendant’s self-defense allegation. This has never been the law in Ohio; the defendant has always had the burden of proving self-defense.
He also pointed to his past support of pro-Second Amendment bills as a way to offset his veto of protections for gun owners who may have to shoot in self-defense.
Kasich listed a number of high profile public attacks and used them to express his disappointment in not receiving a gun confiscation bill to sign. One of the shootings he listed was the November 7, Borderline Bar & Grill attack which occurred in California, a state with firearm confiscation laws. The laws did not nothing to prevent the attack. He also noted the February 14, school shooting in Florida. He did not mention that Florida thereafter passed gun confiscation laws, but those laws were impotent to stop the August 26, Jacksonville Landing attack.

“The Western-backed White Helmets “aid” group has engaged in organ trafficking, terrorist logistics support and looting in Syria, a report presented to the UN said.
The evidence was presented by the director of the Russia-based Study of Democracy Foundation Maxim Grigoriev on Thursday.
The report is based on interviews with over 100 eyewitnesses, including 40 White Helmets members, 50 local residents and 15 former terrorist fighters.
Over 500 civilians were also surveyed in the Syrian cities of Aleppo and Deraa.
“There is overwhelming evidence which proves that the White Helmets centers were permanently engaged in building fortifications for battle positions for terrorist and illegal armed groups who had been supplying them with water and food and evacuating wounded terrorists from the front line,” said Grigoriev.
Grigoriev detailed how the group provided logistics support for armed groups, assisting in transporting troops and supplies.
The researcher went on to quote a White Helmets member from the formerly terrorist-held Syrian town of Douma saying, “for instance, we dug trenches in the towns of Mesraba and al-Shaifuniya and constructed an earthen mound.”
The director presented harrowing accounts indicating the group’s involvement in human organ trafficking.
“People evacuated by the White Helmets often did not come back alive,” Grigoriev said quoting a witness from an area where the group operated.
“For example, a person receives a minor injury, is rescued, evacuated and then brought back with their stomach cut open and with their internal organs missing.”
Citing reports from the organization’s members in the Syrian town of Saqba, the study also revealed extensive corruption within the group’s network, with leaders making private gains out of donations and members looting the civilian population.
“Sometimes we came to help, entered a flat, and, if we found gold or jewelry, seized it,” Grigoriev quoted a White Helmets member in Douma. “In one flat, there was a woman who felt ill, we came to help her, found some gold and stole it.”
Reiterating previous reports about the group’s attempts at staging civilian casualties and chemical attacks, Grigoriev pointed to a particular case in Jisr al?Haj, Aleppo where trash was set on fire and bodies were brought from a local morgue to stage a filmed rescue.
A written testimony from a White Helmet member claimed that everyone involved had received an extra $50 for the effort.
Grigoriev went on to explain that “undeniable evidence” indicated the group had been taking written orders from terrorist groups and that almost all group members were paid staff, not volunteers.
The evidence, the researcher said, proved that the White Helmets is not an “aid group” but an extension of terrorist groups in Syria.
“Facebook accounts of members of the White Helmets are full of propagandist materials of terrorist groups, including [Daesh] and al-Qaeda, praising Osama bin Laden and other individuals listed by the UN as terrorists,” added Grigoriev.
The director highlighted that “hundreds of photos with weapons in their hands” were available on social media.
Russia’s UN envoy Vassily Nebenzia, who was also present at the UN hearing, said the evidence showed that “the White Helmets deserve to be on the United Nations’ designated terrorist list.”
The so-called White Helmets group, projected by the West as “civil defense workers,” was established by former British Army officer James Le Mesurier in 2014.
The self-styled volunteer rescue group has been repeatedly accused of acting as the media arm for Takfiri terrorist groups, and charged with staging false flag chemical attacks in a bid to prompt Western military intervention in Syria.
In July, several hundred people affiliated with the group were evacuated from southern Syria to Israel amid a successful Syrian Army operation in the region.
The UK, Canada, and Germany have proudly announced interest in accepting the White Helmets as refugees.”

“A French jihadist suspected of helping the brothers who carried out the 2015 Charlie Hebdo killings has been arrested in Djibouti and is awaiting transfer to France, French Defence Minister Florence Parly said on Friday.
Peter Cherif, 36, also known as Abou Hamza, was close to Cherif and Said Kouachi, who shot dead 12 people on Jan.7, 2015, at the offices of satirical publication Charlie Hebdo in Paris.
He was arrested on Sunday, a source told Reuters earlier.
“It’s very good news because this terrorist played an important part in the planning of the attack against Charlie Hebdo,” Parly told RTL radio. “It shows the fight against terrorism is a long-haul action and that if you stay committed, you obtain results.”
Cherif and Said Kouachi died in a police assault two days after the Charlie Hebdo attack at a printworks north of Paris.
The Charlie Hebdo attack was followed a day later by the killing of a trainee policewoman by Amedy Coulibaly, an Islamic State loyalist. The following day he attacked a Jewish store on the edge of Paris, where he killed four hostages before police killed him.
Twenty people, including the three assailants, were killed in the Charlie Hebdo and store attacks.”

Cooperation among OIC member states’ cinematographic production will also help in doing away with stereotypes and enhance the image of Islam and Muslims who are portrayed negatively in many cinematographic productions.

Denmark Passes Law Requiring Handshake to Gain Citizenship
It’s a good start, but this law will only be really effective in dealing with Muslim women who are required to shake hands with an Infidel man. Having Muslimas shake hands with female Infidels is meaningless.
Muslim men have more latitude in touching Infidel women (or men) and therefore require some other form of litmus test.
The driver was a Bosnian (probable Muslim), according to the police there were “indications that he wanted to commit suicide”. Police and the press are covering up again to “keep the place quiet”.

EU, UN Back Illegal Mass Migration, Says Hungarian Govt (breitbart, Dec 21, 2018)

“Hungarian government spokesman Zoltán Kovács has said pro-migration proposals agreed by the UN and EU show they “are serious about legalising illegal migration, contrary to the will of the people.”
“Now it’s there in black and white: the European Union and the United Nations have thrown their weight behind a global movement that promotes immigration, that sees it as good and a necessary remedy for correcting the EU’s sad demographic course,” Mr Kovács wrote in response to UN members signing the Global Compact for Migration and the European Parliament giving the go-ahead to instituting “humanitarian visas” for migrants last week.
“The UN migration pact is a betrayal of European citizens and fails to represent their interests,” the senior minister said, adding that the document “works from the premise that migration ranks among fundamental human rights.”
Hungary followed U.S. President Donald Trump in rejecting the compact, seen as a first attempt at the “global governance” and institutionalisation of migration, aiming to protect the “human rights and fundamental freedoms of all migrants.”
Critics have argued that the compact’s “hate speech” provisions will lead to media criticism of immigration being made illegal, and while proponents claim the terms are not legally binding, European lawyers warn the wording exists in a “legal grey area” and could be used to interpret laws in the countries which signed up to the compact.
Following Hungary, fellow Viségrad nations Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland declined to sign the compact, along with Bulgaria, Latvia, Austria, and others.
The U.S. and central and eastern European nations were joined by others including Israel, Australia, and Brazil under its new populist leader Jair Bolsonaro.
This week, Hungary’s foreign minister Péter Szijjártó also warned that a “sister document,” the UN Global Compact on Refugees, would lead to immigration into Europe “through a back door,” with Hungary and the United States being the only two UN members to vote against the refugee compact on Monday.
Also last week, the European Parliament introduced “humanitarian visas,” which the Brussels bureaucrats said will cut people smuggling and “manage” arrivals of migrants as 90 percent arrive on the continent by illegal means.
The proposals stated that the humanitarian visas would channel migrants through a “legal pathway” to the EU, and give would-be refugees a “right to be heard.”
“You would be given a territorially limited permit to enter a certain EU member-state to ask for asylum. You could do it in a European consulate or embassy, or at an EU delegation abroad.
“This would be a solution for those who currently have no other choice than to expose themselves to illicit trafficking,” the document reads.
Head of the Hungarian prime minister’s office Minister Gergely Gulyás said “the European Parliament decision on the migrant visa defies common sense,” with Dr Kovács adding: “these people are serious about legalising illegal migration, contrary to the will of the people.””
Recklinghausen,Germany: Suicide by racing into a fully occupied bus stop?+++
Yesterday in Recklinghausen, a 32-year-old Bosnian raced into a group of people waiting at a bus stop. An 88-year-old woman was killed and numerous people injured. Officially, it was a suicide attempt. The elderly woman was taken to hospital, but died there. In the first press releases there was still mention of a microsleep. The fact that the man has a migration background is currently concealed by almost all newspapers. All of them, however, repeat the suicide attempt theory of the police: “The police is currently assuming that the driver (32-year-old) has attempted suicide. Even if other causes of accidents are not completely excluded, the police makes it clear: “Everything else is pure speculation”. reports the daily WAZ.
Conversely, the question arises as to whether the thesis of suicide attempts is pure speculation. Ex-policeman and bestselling author Stefan Schubert on this subject told the internet-portal Philosophia-Perennis:

Putin issues ominous warning on rising nuclear war threat

The Dutch group “Let’s Bring Them Here” wants to pick up 150 migrants and drive them to the Netherlands.
Organizers, who say they have written to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras asking him to help, concede their chances of success are slim. They won’t bring back any migrants unless Greek authorities let them.
“It’s Christmas, so let’s believe in miracles,” said Rikko Voorberg, who helped organize the convoy.
The group suffered an early setback when the bus broke down not long after setting off. The organization tweeted that it was driving to a garage for repairs before continuing its journey.
According to the Greek government, more than 14,500 migrants are stuck on islands in the eastern Aegean Sea, where official camps and other accommodations have room for under 9,000. Conditions at the camps have been heavily criticized by aid groups.
The Dutch government says it has contributed to an EU program of relocating migrants from Greece and Italy and is warning that any attempt to bring some of them to the Netherlands could be seen as people smuggling.
“Illegal transport of people without a right of residence would amount to smuggling and is punishable,” Migration Minister Mark Harbers told The Associated Press. “Not only in the Netherlands, but also in the countries” the group has to drive through.
Voorberg stressed that his group isn’t planning to smuggle anybody and will only bring back migrants if they are granted papers by Greece. About 25 cars and the bus left the central Dutch city of Utrecht on Friday, hoping to arrive in Athens by Dec. 24.

“A 31-year-old man has been charged with planning to explode bombs in Copenhagen and stabbing random people with kitchen knives, Danish prosecutors said.
Prosecutor Anders Riisager says the man, who was not identified, “had participated in ordering components that would be used to produce one or more bombs.”
The man was charged with attempting to carry out acts of terrorism and, if found guilty, he faces up to life in prison.
The man worked with an accomplice, Dieab Khadigah, who was sentenced by a German court in July 2017 to six-and-a-half years in prison.
Khadigah was arrested in November 2016 in the northern German port town of Puttgarten as he attempted to board a ferry for Denmark. His backpack contained 17,000 matches, 17 batteries, fireworks, two large kitchen knives and six walkie-talkies that the 31-year-old man had ordered.
Riisager said the sulfur from the matches was to be used in bombs.
“It may sound amateurish, but according to the charge, it was very serious,” Riisager said in a statement.

“Two female hikers from Norway and Denmark were killed in a mountainous area in Morocco earlier this week, Norwegian national broadcaster NRK cited the Moroccan Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Gruesome footage and hundreds of uncensored images of the two backpackers, Louisa Jespersen from Denmark and Maren Ueland from Norway, who were found dead in Morocco, have reportedly been sent to one of the victims’ mothers. The horrific photos feature severed and partially severed heads of one of the girls.
It is unclear if the photos were taken by the murderers or investigators, but they were sent to one of the victims’ mothers shortly after the video of the decapitation emerged online.
A knife-wielding perpetrator reportedly shouted “It’s Allah’s will” and “This is revenge for our brothers in Hajin in Syria. These are your heads, enemy of God”, referring to Daesh stronghold in Deir ez-Zor province seized by US-backed forces earlier this week.
