  1. Iran executes ‘Sultan of Coins’ convicted of hoarding (abcnews, Nov 14, 2018)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/iran-executes-sultan-coins-convicted-hoarding-59183198

“Iran has executed the so-called “Sultan of Coins” and his accomplice for hoarding gold coins and other hard currency, signaling zero tolerance as it tries to shore up its currency in the face of an economic crisis.

State TV reported that Vahid Mazloumin and his accomplice, Mohammad Ismail Ghasemi, were hanged early Wednesday. They were convicted of manipulating coin and hard currency markets through illegal and unauthorized deals as well as smuggling. An unspecified number of other accomplices went to prison.

Iran detained Mazloumin, 58, in July for hoarding two tons of gold coins.

Iranians have stocked up on gold coins and other safe-haven investments as the local currency has plummeted in recent months amid renewed U.S. sanctions following President Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal.”

  2. Three men guilty of Christmas Day terrorism plot in Melbourne (theguardian, Nov 14, 2018)
    https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2018/nov/14/three-men-guilty-of-christmas-day-terrorism-plot-in-melbourne

“Three men have been found guilty of conspiring to prepare a Christmas Day terrorist attack in central Melbourne.

Hamza Abbas, 23, his cousin Abdullah Chaarani, 27, and friend Ahmed Mohamed, 25, were found guilty in the supreme court on 2 November of acts in preparation for an attack targeting Federation Square, St Paul’s Cathedral and Flinders Street Station in December 2016.

The verdict, made public on Wednesday after legal delays, followed seven days of deliberations and eight weeks of evidence including from Hamza’s older brother Ibrahim Abbas, 24, who confessed his involvement to police and pleaded guilty earlier this year.

Mohamed and Chaarani laughed and smiled at each other as their verdicts were read. Mohamed gave his family a big grin while Hamza gave them a thumbs up.

Police left court carrying two machetes bought by Chaarani and Ibrahim in preparation for the attack.

The group also had the makings for pipe bombs – sparkler dust, hundreds of match heads and chemicals including hydrogen peroxide – that were intended, as Ibrahim put it, to “wage violent jihad”.

They got the recipe from the infamous al-Qaida magazine article “How to make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom”.

Ibrahim revealed during the trial that he believed it was “fine for me to kill Australians” because Muslims have been killed in wars involving Australia…”

  3. Thank goodness, they’ve finally coming to save us from ourselves. I’ve always known they’d show up–it was just a matter of time. They’re coming to rid us of our scourge, our disease, our troublemakers. You know who I’m talking about–the ones running the show– they’re behind everything wrong in the universe. That’s right.

  5. ‘A Lot of Prisoners Have Weapons,’ Says Suspect in Notorious UK Jail Murder (sputniknews, Nov 14, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201811141069794110-wormwood-scrubs-jail-murder/

“A judge has ordered a jury to find Ahmed Khayre not guilty of murdering an inmate in Wormwood Scrubs prison. One of his co-defendants has been giving evidence about conditions inside the notorious jail in west London.

Kalifa Dibbassey, 21, has stabbing to death Khader Saleh, 31, on January 31 this year but has pleaded not guilty to murder and claims he was acting in self-defence.

On Tuesday, November 13, a judge at the Old Bailey, Mr. Justice Stuart-Smith, decided there was insufficient evidence against Dibbassey’s cellmate, Ahmed Khayre, 22, and ordered a verdict of not guilty to be recorded.

A third man, Enton Marku, 21, also denies murder.

As Khayre walked free Dibbassey entered the witness box and gave evidence about what life was like on C Wing in Wormwood Scrubs.

Alleged Killer Came To UK in 2010

Dibbassey, who was born in France but came to London at the age of 13 to live with his Gambian-born father, said even before he was transferred to C Wing he was aware of its reputation.

He arrived in the prison in June 2017, where he was held on remand accused of robbing a woman of £655 in cash while threatening her with a lock-knife, and was initially in E Wing, which he described as “calm”.

“A lot of the time there were alarm bell situations. The prison officers were running to C Wing. There were lots of conflicts there. It had a reputation, that it was a tough wing,” Mr. Dibbassey said.

His barrister, James Scobie QC, asked him what sort of people were on C Wing.

“There were gangs on the wing. It had a gang culture,” Dibbassey replied.

Dibbassey denied he himself was in a gang but said two of the most prominent gangs in the prison were the Stonebridge Thugs and the rival Church Road Soldiers, both from north-west London.

    Victim was From ‘Somali’ Gang

Dibbassey said Khader Saleh was part of a gang of “Somali boys” who often caused trouble on C Wing.

He told the court how on July 31, 2017 — only days after he arrived on C Wing — he waded in to protect his older brother, Jaliba, who was fighting Saleh.

Dibbassey was put “on report” for fighting and was ordered to see a governor, but the case was adjourned when he demanded to see a lawyer.

On August 16, 2017 Dibbassey was again “put on report” after fighting another man from the Somali gang.

That case too was adjourned and never followed up.

“So twice within two weeks you were put on report. Was there any talk about putting you on another wing?” Mr. Scobie asked him.

    “No,” he replied.

Fatal Weapon Made From Chair Leg

On January 31, 2018 Saleh was stabbed through the heart with an improved knife, known as a “shank”, made from a chair leg.

The trial has already heard Saleh had been involved in a fight with Dibbassey’s best friend, Simran Bopari, the previous day.

“He had no chance to defend himself, or to strike out at his attackers. The damage it caused was catastrophic and without immediate surgical intervention, there was no hope of survival. Khader Saleh lay bleeding to death on the floor of the toilet,” prosecutor Oliver Glasgow QC said in his opening statement at the trial on October 24.

Dibbassey told the jury a lot of attacks happened in the showers and in the cells, away from the CCTV cameras which covered the landings and communal spaces.

Mr. Scobie asked him why people were being attacked.

“A lot of things. Someone giving you a small portion of food (in the canteen). Looking at someone wrong. If someone calls you a paedophile, that can get you cut,” Dibbassey replied.

Dibbassey was then asked about two shanks which were found in his cell after Saleh was killed.

He admitted they were his and said they had been made from chair legs.

Mr. Scobie showed him a picture of the chair in his cell, with its legs missing.

“How long had the chair been broken up to make weapons?” asked Mr. Scobie.

    “About a month,” he replied.

“Why did you need a weapon?” Mr. Scobie asked him.

    Carried a Weapon For Self-Defence

“Because of what was going on on the wing. A lot of people had weapons. People were getting attacked. I needed a weapon. People were getting attacked in the showers and the cells,” Dibbassey replied.

Mr. Scobie then showed him a photograph of himself holding one of the shanks in the cell and Dibbassey admitted it had been taken on a smartphone which had been smuggled into the jail.

Mr. Scobie asked him why he took the selfie.

“I had a knife, I had a phone. I put a mask on my face,” said Dibbassey.

Mr. Scobie asked him if phones were common in the prison.

“Yes,” he replied, and he added that he had bought his from another inmate.

“How do they get in?” Mr. Scobie asked.

“Sometimes officers bring it in. People throw it over the walls, or drones. Drones fly over and drop a package at your window,” Dibbassey said.

The jury was also told Saleh had been in the prison awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

    The trial continues.”

  6. ’Worst Political Decision in Post-War Europe’: Farage Demands Merkel Apologise for Migrant Policy (breitbart, Nov 14, 2018)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2018/11/14/worst-political-decision-post-war-europe-farage-demands-merkel-apologise-migrant-policy/

“Chief Brexiteer Nigel Farage has demanded that German Chancellor Angela Merkel apologise for her open borders policy that led to the EU’s migrant crisis, calling it “the worst decision we’ve seen in post-war politics in Europe.”

The German Chancellor had just addressed the Strasbourg chamber of MEPs and Eurocrats Tuesday, demanding a “real, true” European Union army, when Mr Farage called her out for her migrant policy.

“Your ‘we can cope‘ led to a huge migrant tide, indeed a stampede, that came across the Mediterranean Sea. Young men coming from very different cultures who were not going to integrate… none of whom would have qualified as genuine refugees.”

“Your political decision to open up the doors unconditionally is the worst decision we’ve seen in post-war politics in Europe,” the former UKIP leader added.

“Is it not time for you at least to admit that you were wrong? Is it not time for you to say to German communities and many others, ‘I’m sorry for what I’ve done to you, and the problems I’ve inflicted upon you for many decades to come’?”

Mr Farage also thanked Mrs Merkel for her disastrous policies helping to make it “over the line for Brexit.”

“I think in many ways, we looked at in the referendum and said we don’t want to be part of an increasingly German-dominated European Union and we certainly don’t want to pay the price for Mrs Merkel’s errors,” he said.

Condemning European leaders who recently called for a European empire, a militarised EU, who rewrite history, and who “launched a new Cold War against the United States of America,” he said Brexit was now a “necessity.”

“I think that 100 years on from the Armistice, we should be genuinely worried.

“The European Project was set up to stop German domination; what you’ve seen today is a naked takeover bid,” he added.”

  7. Hundreds of ISIS fighters are trying to cross into Iraq from Syria: Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi  (thenational, Nov 14, 2018)
    https://www.thenational.ae/world/mena/hundreds-of-isis-fighters-are-trying-to-cross-into-iraq-from-syria-prime-minister-adel-abdul-mahdi-1.791798

“Hundreds of ISIS fighters are trying to cross into Iraq from Syria, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said on Tuesday, following a recent visit to the headquarters of the Joint Special Operations Command.

Less than a month after assuming office the newly-appointed prime minister is dealing with the legacy of Iraq’s war against ISIS in the form of insurgent attacks and returning fighters.

According to Mr Abdul Mahdi the extremists are gearing up to recapture territory they lost to the Iraqi military during the latter’s three-year battle against the extremist group.

However, he told reporters, “Iraqi forces are carrying out their duties to pre-empt any attempts by ISIS to infiltrate the border and cross into Iraq”.

“For now the immediate threat has been handled,” a commander with the Iraqi militia Hashed Al Shaabi told The National in a telephone conversation from the border. His unit recently thwarted an ISIS attempt to enter Iraq in pick-up trucks.

“My forces are always on alert and ready to intercept any potential incursion,” said the commander, who asked to remain anonymous.

The coalition estimates 2,000 ISIS fighters remain in the Hajin pocket near the border with Iraq…”

Virgin bride’ sold to highest bidder on Facebook for 500 cows, three cars and £7,500 in ‘barbaric slave market’

A SICK family sold their 17-year-old daughter “virgin bride” on Facebook to the highest bidder for 500 cows, three cars and £7,500 in a “barbaric slave market”.

The teen was married to businessman Kok Alat on November 9 after a bidding war ensued in South Sudan on the social media platform between five men, including a high-ranking government official.

  9. Turkey Demands Extradition of Over 450 Gulen-Linked Suspects – Minister (sputniknews, Nov 14, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201811141069798773-gulen-turkey-demand/

“Turkey is demanding extradition of 452 people from 83 countries over their alleged links to the movement of Islamic cleric Fethullah Gulen, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Wednesday.

“Turkey has sent documents concerning 452 people linked to FETO to 83 countries. We demand extradition of these people,” Cavusoglu said, as quoted by NTV broadcaster.

Ankara has accused Gulen, who has been living in the United States since 1999, and his followers of orchestrating an attempted coup in the country, which Gulen has repeatedly refuted. The coup attempt, aimed at bringing down the government and the country’s president, took place on July 15, 2016, and was promptly suppressed by the government forces, but still left 251 people dead and around 2,200 injured.

Around 80,000 people, including officials, journalists and military staff, have reportedly been arrested in Turkey over their alleged links to Gulen since the coup attempt.”

    • Neither Friend nor Foe: The Future of U.S.-Turkey Relations

Since the 1950s, U.S. presidents have recognized Turkey as a critical ally. The legacy of this Cold War partnership continues to frame U.S. policy discussions about Turkey in which the country is routinely referred to as a strategic ally. Yet the world has changed considerably since the Cold War ended, and transformations in global, U.S., and Turkish politics over the last three decades require a reevaluation of the U.S.-Turkey relationship.

Turkish opposition politicians have been supportive of the Bashar al-Assad regime, are hostile to expressions of Kurdish nationalism, joined the AKP in demanding Fethullah Gulen’s extradition from the United States, and stoke anti-Americanism.

Although some present and former U.S. policymakers continue to make the case that Turkey is a strategic partner and an anchor for stability, the evidence for these declarations is thin. The two countries do not share interests or values. Analysts and officials looking for a new and positive framework for bilateral ties are unlikely to find one. Instead, the basic assumption that should guide Washington in its approach to Ankara is that while Turkey remains formally a NATO ally, it is not a partner of the United States. The bilateral relationship is marked by ambivalence and mistrust.

The strategic relationship is over, and going forward, cooperation between the countries will be limited and contingent on specific circumstances. Policymakers should regard Turkey as neither a friend of the United States nor as an enemy. In many areas, Turkey is a competitor and antagonist of the United States. As a result, American officials should abandon the intensive and often fruitless diplomatic efforts to convince Turkish policymakers to support the United States.

Instead, the United States should not be reluctant—as it has been in the past—to oppose Turkey directly when Ankara undermines U.S. policy. In practical terms this means the United States should develop alternatives to Incirlik Air Base, suspend Turkey’s participation in the F-35 jet program, and continue to work with the People’s Protection Units (YPG) to achieve its goals in Syria.

  11. Caravan migrants reach Tijuana, start climbing the border fence

The first wave of migrants from the Central American caravan began climbing border fences on Tuesday after arriving at the U.S. border.

Many on the Mexican side of the border climbed the fence and sat or walked on top of it, while others jumped and crawled through openings in the fence, only to run back to the Mexico side when U.S. Border Patrol agents approached, Fox 5 San Diego reported.

They are sending scouts ahead to discover just what they are going to be facing. • Mexico: First group of migrants reach US border at Tijuana

Nine buses carrying as many as 400 Central American migrants arrived in the city of Tijuana on Tuesday, becoming the first group in the migrant caravan to reach the US-Mexico border.

Having split from the larger group in Mexico City, the breakaways want to cross into the US in the hope of seeking asylum.

“If we cannot go through then we have to go back again, but we believe that we’ll be back,” said one Honduran migrant.

“We must not lose hope,” he added.

The first arrivals are expected to be joined by larger groups in the coming days.

Many of the migrants hail from Honduras which they left behind over a month ago fleeing violence and poverty. They have travelled the length and breadth of Mexico to reach the US southern border.

    • BREITBART – Report: U.S. Begins Accepting Caravan Migrants In for Asylum Claims

Mexican federal authorities at the ports of entry in Tijuana are now allowing migrants from the Central American caravan into the U.S. so they can begin asylum requests.

This week, at the Chaparral Port of Entry in Tijuana, Mexican immigration officials announced 90 Central American caravan migrants would be allowed to advance to ask for asylum, journalist Rebecca Plevin reported. Twenty-five asylum seekers were allowed on Monday and 60 more on Tuesday.

The groups in Tijuana awaiting asylum include hundreds of members from the migrant caravan that departed in October from Honduras with the ultimate goal of reaching the U.S. border. It remains unclear if the migrants will be detained while their asylum claim is processed, or if they will be released due to lack of space in detention facilities.

While the caravan was not expected to reach the U.S. border for weeks, hundreds of members were shuttled in buses with federal police escorts along various parts of the journey from Mexico City to Tijuana. The group decided to aim for the west coast rather than traverse more dangerous regions controlled by drug cartels known for being ruthless to migrants. While Tijuana is currently seeing record-setting murders tied to cartel violence, the local organizations do not typically target migrants for violent extortion schemes.

California firm’s long-anticipated flying motorcycle will set you back $150,000.

The era of the hoverbike is finally at hand, but you’ll have to be well-heeled to join in. A California company recently announced that it would begin deliveries of its long-anticipated flying motorcycle in the first half of 2019 for an estimated price of $150,000.

The Hoversurf S3 looks a bit like what you’d get if you crossed a motorcycle with a quadcopter. It has a seat for one rider and four horizontally mounted electric propellers controlled by a pair of joysticks.

The sub-250-pound craft is designed to skim over the landscape at the company-specified “safe altitude” of about 16 feet and at speeds of up to 60 miles an hour. Its lithium-manganese-nickel batteries allow airborne jaunts of up to 25 minutes, according to the manufacturer, San Jose-based Hoversurf.

  15. BREITBART – 50,000 Parka-Clad Canadians Protest Global Warming

Some 50,000 Canadians marched through Montreal this weekend to protest global warming while wearing down jackets and parkas to stave off the freezing weather.
While the CBC noted that protesters had “braved the cold” Saturday to call for better environmental policies, they failed to point out the irony that people were allegedly marching against rising temperatures.

The demonstrators are part of a movement called “The Planet Goes to Parliament,” which seeks to influence politicians to take a stronger stand on anthropogenic climate change. Among those present were several Quebec politicians, including environment minister Isabelle Melancon and Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante.

Nathalie Roy, the spokeswoman for the group, said that the movement was born out of frustration from citizens who felt insufficient attention was paid to climate change during recent provincial elections.

“It started because we needed to channel the indignation we felt about the fact that, during the campaign, there was very little said about environmental issues — where we feel a true sense of urgency,” Roy said.

The group has organized five protests throughout Quebec this fall, and the turnout has reportedly been rising.

The organization urges people to sign onto “A Pact for the Transition,” an alliance of environmental activists seeking to collect one million signatures to pressure the government into revising its approach to climate-related issues.

Since its release last week, the Pact has garnered signatures from more than 150,000 people.

“All together, we citizens across Quebec — from cities and towns, business and communities, beyond our political differences and in unity with Indigenous peoples — hereby express our firm desire to take the necessary actions to protect the world we live in and to move towards a low-carbon future,” the Pact website states.

The Pact is demanding that the government come up with a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 45 percent by 2030 as well as barring any new project to explore or expand fossil fuel production and stopping all subsidies of fossil fuels.

Referring to a motion set to be put forward to the party’s NEC, Batten says that: “There should be a ballot of the UKIP members asking if they approve, Yes, or No, of Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (AKA Tommy Robinson) being allowed to join UKIP. This ballot should take place at the earliest opportunity, e.g. in the next edition of Independence Magazine.

“If a majority of Party members vote in favour of the proposition, then the Chairman and NEC will consider his application at the NEC meeting following the result of the ballot. They will then make the decision whether to waive the relevant rule or not based on a majority vote of the NEC.”

A Florida school district allowed a self-described transgender female student regular access to the boys’ locker room, with no advance warning to the boys or their parents. The first time she walked in, she caught “boys (literally) with their pants down, causing them embarrassment and concern by the fact that they had been observed changing by an obvious girl,” says a complaint letter to Pasco County School District from Liberty Counsel, a pro-bono constitutional law firm.

With a “gag order,” school administrators forbade teachers from talking about the change, and ordered a male P.E. teacher to supervise the potentially undressed girl in the Chasco Middle School locker room, the letter says. When he refused to “knowingly place himself in a position to observe a minor female in the nude or otherwise in a state of undress,” administrators told him “he will be transferred to another school as discipline for ‘not doing your job in the locker room.’”

  20. Norway says Russia jammed GPS signal during NATO drill
By JAN M. OLSEN AND JARI TANNER, ASSOCIATED PRESS HELSINKI — Nov 13, 2018, 4:20 PM ET
    Email
The Norwegian Defense Ministry said Tuesday that Russian forces in the Arctic disturbed GPS location signals during a recent large NATO drill in Norway.

The ministry said that Norway’s Foreign Ministry earlier had raised the issue with Russian authorities.

In an email Tuesday to The Associated Press, the ministry said it “was aware that that jamming has been recorded between Oct. 16 and Nov. 7 from the Russian forces” on the Arctic Kola peninsula.

NATO’s huge exercise Trident Juncture that included soldiers from 31 countries, was staged in Norway from Oct. 25 to Nov. 7. Finland and Sweden, which aren’t NATO members, also took part in the drill.

The jamming of the location signals isn’t believed to have caused any accidents.

  26. Jobless Somalis demand higher benefits and a house – Say they are discriminated in Sweden
    By EMMA R. 12 November 2018

Somalis in Sweden (not involved in the protests)
The vast majority, with estimates of 80 per cent and higher, of Somalis in Sweden are on welfare. Yet they claim there’s a “discrimination against Somalis”, and that the welfare services “abuse their power”.

“It’s unjust” one woman says, “we have a right to housing” “Everybody has rights in Sweden. Everybody knows what it says in your rights”.

A boy says “We don’t wan’t a new house, that wasn’t ordered by mommy”. “We don’t just want three rooms, or something like that, we want as many as mommy says”. “We want however much we like”.

  27. An illegal alien accused of killing three people has been a recipient of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Child Arrivals (DACA) program, immigration officials say.
A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokesperson told the Springfield News-Leader that Luis Rodrigo Perez, 23, a Mexican national accused of killing three people in Missouri after jail officials released him on domestic violence charges in New Jersey, was a recipient of the DACA program in 2012 and 2014.

It is unclear whether he was no longer eligible or did not re-apply for the program in 2016. Illegal aliens who came to the U.S. as children can qualify for DACA, but felony or significant misdemeanor convictions are grounds for disqualification from the program.

ICE spokesperson Shawn Neudauer said before Perez was accused of murder, he was arrested in Middlesex County in December 2017 on suspicion of aggravated assault, assault, and child abuse.

The state and federal law enforcement database showed these charges as “still pending,” according to Neudauer.

A migrant from Ghana, notorious for his shoplifting sprees and violent outbursts, was arrested 107 times in Berlin, but none of them stuck. He even walked free after threatening to hack a woman with a meat cleaver.
For years, a 59-year-old man known as Bismark B. made a living out of stealing from supermarkets in central Berlin. He would show up “three to four times a week” to steal food, a store employee told local media. Witnesses also said that he often grabbed the most expensive items and kept a journal of the things he stole.

  30. Intelligence officers have identified 23,000 jihadist extremists living in Britain as potential terrorist attackers, it emerged yesterday.

The scale of the challenge facing the police and security services was disclosed by Whitehall sources after criticism that multiple opportunities to stop the Manchester bomber had been missed.

About 3,000 people from the total group are judged to pose a threat and are under investigation or active monitoring in 500 operations being run by police and intelligence services. The 20,000 others have featured in previous inquiries and are categorised as posing a “residual risk”.

  31. As a university professor and fervent advocate of academic freedom and free speech, I felt uneasy when I heard that an international group of academics is planning to launch a new journal that will publish anonymously written articles on sensitive topics.

The justification for launching the Journal of Controversial Ideas is that it will help and support academics who fear that if they publish on controversial issues they will face a backlash from members of the university community. As Jeff McMahan, Oxford professor of moral philosophy and one of the academics behind the journal, argues, it would ‘enable people whose ideas might get them into trouble either with the left or with the right or with their own university administration, to publish under a pseudonym’.

Bosnia and Herzegovina – a multicultural Muslim-majority country – is an increasingly popular destination among tourists from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states.

Like elsewhere around the globe, the kingdom is using its influence and deep pockets to promote its views of an ultraconservative form of Islam.

  33. Scientists behind a headline-grabbing climate study admitted they “really muffed” their paper.
Their study claimed to find 60 percent more warming in the oceans, but that was based on math errors.
The errors were initially spotted by scientist Nic Lewis, who called them “serious (but surely inadvertent) errors.”
The scientists behind a headline-grabbing global warming study did something that seems all too rare these days — they admitted to making mistakes and thanked the researcher, a global warming skeptic, who pointed them out.

“When we were confronted with his insight it became immediately clear there was an issue there,” study co-author Ralph Keeling told The San Diego Union-Tribune on Tuesday.

Their study, published in October, used a new method of measuring ocean heat uptake and found the oceans had absorbed 60 more heat than previously thought. Many news outlets relayed the findings, but independent scientist Nic Lewis quickly found problems with the study.

Keeling, a scientist at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, owned up to the mistake and thanked Lewis for finding it. Keeling and his co-authors submitted a correction to the journal Nature. (RELATED: Headline-Grabbing Global Warming Study Suffers From A Major Math Error)

  34. Canadian man claiming to be ‘female’ sues 16 women for refusing to wax his genitals

November 12, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Back in May, I wrote about the biological man claiming to be a woman who has sued a spa in Windsor after a female employee declined to service him following his request for a Brazilian wax. The “transgender woman” was furious, claiming that his genitals are irrelevant to his gender, and that this Muslim woman should have absolutely no problem handling his penis, seeing that in his point of view, it was a female penis.

Then in August, another fellow got in on the game. A transgender “woman” began calling spas in British Columbia, asking that they give him a “Manzillian” wax, and then taking careful note of those who refused. He then filed 16 human rights complaints against sixteen women who refused to handle his penis, claiming that he had been discriminated against. In fact, he claimed that having these women refuse to wax his genitals “really got to me…it hurts.”

Identifying himself only as J.Y., the claims of discrimination and bullying are ironic considering what this fellow is doing to actual women. One of the estheticians, a single mom who works out of her home, already paid J.Y. $2,500 to withdraw his complaint so she could simply get on with her life. Two and a half grand, it turns out, is the amount of money that a single mom, seeing her livelihood threatened, has to pay to a man for not touching his genitals.

It gets worse. According to John Carpay of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, many lawyers are terrified to touch transgender discrimination cases for fear of being accused of transphobia, thus making it very difficult for the women being targeted to find any legal representation and increasing the temptation to simply settle. To fight these attack to the hearing stage, Carpay noted, would cost each of these women over $20,000.

In fact, Carpay noted that one of the women that JCCF is now representing “had been turned down by 26 different lawyers and law firms. All of which cited lack of expertise in human rights proceedings, or fear of offending the transgender lobby, or both.” He has publicly stated that JCCF will represent the other women without charge, as well, but thus far the Human Rights Tribunal has refused to inform them of this fact. As always, with the human rights complaints it is the process that is the punishment.

  35. More than 20 child killers sent to healing lodges since 2011, figures show
Offenders were transferred under both Conservative and Liberal governments

More than 20 child murderers have been transferred to Indigenous healing lodges since 2011, according to numbers from Public Safety Canada.

At least 14 of those offenders were held in healing lodges while the previous Conservative government was in power.

The federal government released those numbers in response to a request from CBC News Network’s Power & Politics in the wake of a wave of outrage over child killer Terri-Lynne McClintic’s transfer to an Indigenous healing lodge in southern Saskatchewan last December.

She was transferred back to a traditional prison in Edmonton last week.

  36. Bernie Sanders Partnering With Greek Progressives to Build Leftist Movement (sputniknews, Nov 14, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/analysis/201811141069811528-bernie-sanders-partnering-greek-progressives-movement/

“US Senator Bernie Sanders and Greece’s former Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis are partnering to build an international progressive coalition. Radio Sputnik’s John Kiriakou recently spoke with Varoufakis in Athens about the duo’s plans.

“I’m anti-Trump, but I’m equally anti-Clinton. As you know, I’m a friend of Bernie Sanders. We are starting something together now. On the 31st of November, Bernie and I are going to launch what we call Progressive International,” Varoufakis, who served as finance minister from January 2015 to July 2015 for Greece’s government led by the left-wing Syriza party, said in an exclusive interview with Kiriakou, a co-host on Loud & Clear with Brian Becker.

The Greek economist’s vision is for Progressive International to be an “international political movement, with a structure… with an international New Deal,” he said.

“It will be a long time coming, but we can build momentum” for the future, Varoufakis told Sputnik.

Domestically, polls have demonstrated the Vermont socialist to consistently be the most popular politician in the United States — a rare achievement among the ubiquitously despised class of elected leaders. A Morning Consult poll from last month showed that Sanders was the most popular senator in the country, with a favorability rating of 63 percent. In the same poll, Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell scored a favorability rating of 33 percent.

Launching Progressive International with Varoufakis won’t be Sanders’ first foray into the international arena. The Vermonter warned last November that “the major issue of our time is the rapid movement toward international oligarchy in which a handful of billionaires own and control a significant part of the global economy,” The Hill reported.

Some political scientists have showered the initiative with praise. “The Varoufakis-Sanders joint initiative is a very timely move. It needs global support especially but not exclusively from progressives around the world. While neo-fascism continues its shadow boxing with neoliberal capitalism, progressive ideas need to make their own argument at the global level and fight for ageless ideals: equality and freedom,” said political scientists Alphan Telek and Seren Selvin Korkmaz in a report for Open Democracy.”

“Wanted: Broadcast journalist to cover White House. Responsibilities include egging on president over nonsensical issues, making speeches rather than asking questions, refusing to yield floor to fellow reporters.”

Apparently, somewhere the above want ad exists, though probably only in the mind of embattled CNN reporter Jim Acosta, who finally spoke out about his employer’s lawsuit against the Trump administration. In a statement published at the network’s website, Acosta said:
