  2. Mexico: Police abandon blockade of migrant caravan

    Mexican police abandoned a blockade allowing thousands of Central American migrants to continue their journey towards the United States on Thursday.

    After leaving Arriaga, the migrant caravan reached a Mexican Federal Police checkpoint where they were informed about the government’s recent offer of asylum.

    Outgoing Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto launched a programme on Friday which promised shelter, medical attention, schooling and jobs to migrants who agree to stay in the southern Mexico states of Chiapas and Oaxaca.

    The group rejected the plan on Friday night in Arriaga, but have said they open to negotiations with the government, but not if their intention is to stop the caravan.

    Consequently, the federal authorities withdrew their blockade and allowed more than 4,000 migrants to move towards the city of San Pedro Tanpanatepec.

  3. Speaking of banking, Sassy, the fractional reserve practice of modern commercial banks is commonly understood. What is not so commonly understood is that the gold banking industry operates in the same manner using paper gold IOU’s. This means that the equivalent of a whole year’s mining supply, by the whole, world is traded in paper every single day. Kind of gives new meaning to the word “dilution” doesn’t it?

    While it is all perfectly legal and works to a degree just like our commercial banks, we must be honest about it. It is a perfectly legal ponzi scheme. If something in the world happens whereby people become frightened en masse and want their cash, the system must crash. It is a confidence game.

The entire point of struck coins is so a person can look at the coin and know exactly what it is, what it is made out of and how much it weighs. Bars and shot are all uncertain to a counterparty.   4. The alternative to the current system would necessarily place greater limits on debt. Credit would still exist but in its old-fashioned, truncated form, expiring in days or months.

    I saw Peter Munk, the founder of Barrick Gold, speak a couple of years ago in person. He saw fit to at once deliver his angry condemnation of the Hungarians who delivered their Hungarian Jewish brothers to the death camps, and then to state unequivocally his endorsement of Victor Orban and his government. He did this with considerable seriousness and emotion.

    Fractional-reserve gold banking made Peter Munk a billionaire. Central Banks saw an opportunity to monetize their dead asset, without risk, by using “reserves in the ground” held by mining companies as collateral. Munk just happened to sit atop the world’s biggest gold miner at the time, so was the natural facilitator in this capacity. I think this evolution of the use of gold was inevitable and natural. But it, too, is an ever-expanding ponzi that cannot last.

    To free gold from its fractional-reserve function means many things. Freegold would allow people to save real money, and would force governments to finance wars with real bullion, thereby limiting wars.

    I think President Trump is his own man, and understands all of this. Yes, Richard, I think the Black Pidgeon vid you posted is pretty much true. When the most powerful men have all of their wealth and means placed at risk by an ideologue of freedom, they will do what they must.

    I also believe that it is PTrump’s very ego and quest for greatness that is his self-fullfilling prophecy. He will knowingly risk assassination to do what the others have tried to do, and release The People from debt slavery.     • I wasn’t going to comment on the BP post. I agree with what you are saying, the modern economic system with its easy credit and governments t rying to control the market is a monster that will crash and cause the entire world to wake up and live in reality.

      Yes President Trump is going to do what he thinks is the right thing no matter what happens to him, and if BP is right and they manage to assassinate him that will touch off a massive civil war in the US. The left in their arrogance refuses to admit that the majority of American People want him as President and want him to continue returning the US to what our founders tried to insure we would remain.

      I am very afraid that my predictions about a massive civil war are about to be proven correct, the Far Left leaders of the Dems will continue to stoke the fires of hatred for PT and his followers while trying to shift their actions over to us.

  11. 11 Dead, Several Others Shot At Pittsburgh Synagogue

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Eleven people have been killed and a number of others injured after a shooting at The Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill on Saturday.

    Police sources tell KDKA’s Andy Sheehan the gunman, Robert Bowers, walked into the building and yelled, “All Jews must die.” Sheehan’s sources also confirmed that eleven people have died. No children are among the deceased.

    Bowers was reportedly armed with an AR-15 and three handguns.

  12. I’m going in’: Synagogue shooting suspect, 46, posted chilling final message before the Trump-hating antisemite ‘opened fire with an AR-15 on a BABY naming ceremony yelling “All Jews must die”‘, killing 11 and injuring six – including four cops

    The suspected gunman who opened fire on a Pittsburgh synagogue on Saturday morning, killing at least 11 people and injuring several others, has been named as 46-year-old Robert Bowers, a Trump-hating antisemite who regularly complained on social media about the president and ‘the infestation of Jews.’

    Bowers allegedly opened fire at the Tree of Life Congregation Synagogue in the Squirrel Hill area of Pittsburgh shortly before 10am. The synagogue was busier than usual with Sabbath services and because of a baby naming ceremony that had also been scheduled.

    After opening fire on the congregation with three handguns and an AR-15, he was confronted by two Pittsburgh police officers who had been called to the scene as he tried to leave the building. Police say Bowers returned fire, injuring both of the cops, then retreated inside and ran to the third floor to hide.

    He then engaged in a gun battle with a SWAT team and injured two of them before being shot multiple times himself and surrendering.

    He is still alive, in a stable condition, and is in the hospital under the watch of police.

    None of the victims have been named. Police revealed on Saturday afternoon that all of those killed were adults and that no children were harmed.

    Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto told CNN on Saturday that the names of the victims will be released on Sunday morning at 9:00am local time.

    In recent years, the unpredictability of terrorizing events has kept Americans on alert, wary of threats to their safety and well-being.

    A gunman killed 58 people attending an outdoor concert in Las Vegas last year. School violence has become commonplace enough that some teens carry bulletproof backpacks. And this week, at least a dozen homemade pipe bombs were mailed to outspoken critics of President Trump and forced the evacuation of a shopping mall in New York.

    Specific threats and a general sense of anxiety, security experts say, are causing more people to seek the services of private security firms; some are hiring bodyguards and drivers trained to protect them in case of peril.

    At Pinkerton, a private security and detective agency founded in 1850, requests for executive security have increased 20 to 30 percent annually over the last five years, said its vice chairman, Tim Williams. And people are looking for safeguards in all areas of their lives that pose risks, experts say, including information technology and social media.

  16. Migrant caravan halts after report of abducted child

    TAPANATEPEC, Mexico — Coordinators of a caravan of several thousand Central American migrants moving through southern Mexico urged its members to rest Sunday. At first the migrants vowed to press on anyway but later changed their minds amid reports that a child had been abducted.

    The migrants said they would stay and hold a meeting Sunday in Tapanatepec. Late Saturday night, groups of migrants were running through the town’s streets saying a migrant’s child had been snatched. Something similar led to a panic at an earlier stop, but was not confirmed.

    After being delayed for a couple hours when federal police halted their exit from the town of Arriaga Saturday morning, most of the migrants arrived in Tapanatepec in the searing heat. Dozens headed down to the Novillero river below the central square to bathe, wash clothing and cool off. Others lined up at a medical aid station mostly for attention to their battered feet.

    For the first time an arm of the federal government seemed to be directly helping the migrants advance rather than trying to diminish the caravan. In this case Grupo Beta, Mexico’s migrant protection agency, gave rides to stragglers and passed out water.

    At the caravan’s regular evening meeting in the town square, its coordinators tried to force a little chivalry.

    As we would expect, in the wake of the dreadful shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh Saturday, in which 11 people were killed, calls are mounting for Americans to “unite against hate.”

    It is with no intention of disparaging those calls that I write. When confronted with fearful evil, we humans do the best we can. Certainly we want to renew our commitments to rejecting hatred against each other, and dealing instead in love and respect. It is good to say that. It is good to reflect on it.

    But it is also important to say what must be said here, which is that, in a very important way, the American people are not the problem. We are already united against hate, to the extent that any nation of 325 million can be, and to an extent that is historically astounding.

    For many decades, people fleeing persecution and hatred from all over the world have flocked to America because we are united against hate. An essential principle of goodwill and tolerance infuses our attitudes on public questions in a way it does nowhere else – if imperfectly, to be sure, and not without challenges and bumps in the road.

    Richard: As she points out it isn’t the people who are refusing to unite against hate, it is the Political Leaders on the left. Listen to them, they can’t condemn the shooting in Pittsburgh without trying to generate more hate towards PT and his followers.   18. If members of the caravan are really seeking asylum, why won’t they accept it from Mexico?

    Thanks to the kindness of strangers — including Mexican police, who are flagging down civilian vehicles on the highway and cramming them full of “caravan” members — the first wave of migrants from Central America should arrive at the U.S. border much sooner than I recently predicted. Most, if not all, of them will be seeking asylum, and toward that end they will come prepared. They will have been coached by liberal activists and immigration lawyers on how to show “credible fear” of persecution if they are sent back to their country of origin, which is the only grounds for receiving asylum.

    They have been that told the odds of succeeding are slim — fewer than 10% of those who apply are granted asylum — but they’re willing to take that chance, not to mention a trek of 2,000 miles that is often fraught with danger, with an eye toward securing a sliver of that sweet, sweet American pie.

  19. Strange contradictions of alleged pipe-bomber raise additional questions

    Liberty Unyielding’s Ben Bowles started a good list on Saturday of questions about Cesar Sayoc, the man arrested for this week’s spate of defective parcel bombs.

    Most were about the parcel-mailing incidents themselves and the circumstances reported around Sayoc, such as his oddly decorated van.

    Looking more closely at Sayoc doesn’t improve the “adds up” factor. Many commentators (me among them) concluded pretty quickly that Sayoc must be mentally unstable. But if we take his social media profiles at face value, he’s not the only one. It has to seem like a lot of people who knew this guy were either unstable too, or had no idea whatsoever whom they were associating with and/or endorsing.

    You wouldn’t gather this from the media coverage so far, but the depiction of Sayoc as a career criminal, failed small business owner, loser on all fronts, and loner whackjob doesn’t comport with his apparently documented history of working in recent years as an event promoter with a Florida casino. Aside from a number of photos with other employees and clients, posted on social media, his LinkedIn profile actually looks pretty normal, at least at a superficial level.

In an interview earlier this month, Chaldean Archbishop Habib Nafali of Basra discussed how more than a decade of violent persecution has virtually annihilated Iraq’s Christian minority. Since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, the Christian population has dropped from 1.5 million to about 250,000 — a reduction of 85%. During those 15 years, Christians have been abducted, enslaved, raped and slaughtered, sometimes by crucifixion; a church or monastery has been destroyed about every 40 days on average, said the archbishop.

    While it is often assumed that the Islamic State (ISIS) was the source of the persecution, since that terror group’s retreat from Iraq, the situation for Christians has barely improved. As the archbishop said, Christians continue to suffer from “systematic violence” designed to “destroy their language, to break up their families and push them to leave Iraq.”

  24. BREITBART – EU Parliament Passes Resolution Demanding Ban of ‘Neo-Fascist’ Groups, Lists Identitarian Movement

    The European Union Parliament passed a motion this week to demand member-states ban ‘neo-fascist’ parties and groups and have intelligence agencies fully co-operate with ‘anti-racism’ NGOs.
    The motion, which was introduced at the request of Italian MEP Eleonora Forenza, was passed by a vote of 355 MEPs. Many MEPs were not present in the 751-seat chamber for the vote.

    The resolution cited several high-profile acts of violence including the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox in 2016, the murder rampage of Norwegian extremist Anders Brevik, along with other cases like the recent arrest this year of members of the Action des Forces Opérationnelles (AFO), who allegedly plotted to attack Muslims they deemed extremists.

    While most of the incidents listed in the report were acts of violence, the authors also added the French branch of the Identitarian movement Generation Identitaire, as members had been taken to court and convicted of ‘hate speech’.

    The report not only demands the banning of groups like the far-right Italian group Casapound whose members attacked Ms Forenza in September but also recommended anti-hate crime units be set up in police forces across the EU, and that intelligence and law enforcement agencies should fully co-operate with anti-racism NGOs.

    The motion also calls for “the protection of community groups and civil society organisations that fight against fascism, racism, xenophobia and other forms of intolerance.”

    Breitbart London spoke to British independent MEP Janice Atkinson, vice-president of the populist Europe for Nations and Freedom (ENF) parliamentary group, who said the motion was “a very disturbing example of the growing tendency of shutting down free speech under the guise of claiming that the European Parliament is concerned about the growing acceptance of fascism, racism, and xenophobia.”

    “In my understanding, formulating critical opinions is still part of free speech. We in the ENF group, however, condemn the rise of neo-Nazism and extremism, which is mainly coming from national socialism on the Left,” Atkinson said.

    “The reality is that ‘shutting down’ can be arbitrary, just like the social media globalists and that the Member States’ police forces ‘instruction’ is harder to implement and will take some time,” she added.

    The resolution lacked any reference to far-left extremist violence which has also seen a rise in recent years, including the violence of the Hamburg G20 last year, the attacks on police in France in this year’s May Day riots in Paris, as well as the recent bombing of an office belonging to the populist League (La Lega) party headed by populist Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini.

    Officials from the Department of Homeland Security visited a Pittsburgh synagogue months before a gunman shot and killed 11 individuals on Saturday, the agency’s top chief said on Sunday.

    “As recently as March we conducted a site visit here with our protected security advisers in the area,” DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said on “Fox News Sunday.”

  34. Saudi Arabian official calls global outcry over Khashoggi killing ‘hysterical’

    Saudi Arabia’s top diplomat said Saturday that the global outcry and media focus on the killing of a Saudi journalist earlier this month has become “hysterical” as he urged the public to wait for the results of an investigation before ascribing blame to the kingdom’s top leadership.

    Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist critical of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was killed by Saudi agents at the kingdom’s consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2.

    “This issue has become fairly hysterical,” Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said. “I think people have assigned blame on Saudi Arabia with such certainty before the investigation is complete.”

    Some of those implicated in Khashoggi’s killing are close to Prince Mohammed, who is the kingdom’s heir apparent. His condemnation of the killing as “heinous” and “painful” has so far failed to ease suspicions that such a high-level operation could have been carried out without his knowledge.

    Al-Jubeir addressed the mounting skepticism around the crown prince’s alleged involvement. He was speaking in response to questions from Western journalists at an annual conference of international officials, including U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis, in Bahrain.

    “We have made clear that we are going to have a full and transparent investigation, the results of which will be released. We have made it very clear that those responsible will be held responsible,” he said, adding that the kingdom has also put in place mechanisms to ensure this does not happen.

    “We’re trying to uncover what happened. We know that a mistake was committed. We know that people exceeded their authority and we know that we’re investigating them,” he said.

    But he cautioned that “investigations take time.”

    “Unfortunately, there has been this hysteria in the media about Saudi Arabia’s guilt before the investigation is completed,” he said.

    Turkey alleges a 15-member hit squad was sent to Istanbul to kill the journalist, a onetime Saudi insider who became an outspoken critic of Prince Mohammed in columns for The Washington Post. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said the three others in the group of 18 who have been detained in Saudi Arabia were consulate employees.

    Saudi Arabia has said five officials, including two who worked directly under the crown prince, have been relieved of their posts. Al-Jubeir on Saturday said six in total were dismissed. King Salman has assigned his son, the crown prince, to oversee the restructuring of the kingdom’s intelligence bodies in the aftermath of the killing.

    Erdogan said Friday that Turkey would reveal more evidence about the killing but was not in any rush to do so, indicating that Turkish authorities will methodically increase pressure on Saudi Arabia even as the kingdom floats conflicting statements in a vain and often clumsy attempt to end the crisis.

    After three weeks of shifting Saudi accounts around the incident, the kingdom this week acknowledged that the killing was “premeditated,” citing evidence from Turkish officials investigating what happened. Saudi Arabia originally said Khashoggi had walked out of the consulate Oct. 2, before offering various other narratives that President Donald Trump called “one of the worst cover-ups in the history of cover-ups.”

    Turkey is requesting that Saudi Arabia hand over the suspects in the killing, which the kingdom has described as a rogue operation by officials who may have exceeded their orders or authority.

    Veteran computer science Professor Dr. Rohit Parikh wrote on Facebook that all illegal immigrants should be deported — and questioned the desirability of Hispanic immigrants in particular, according to students protesting the post.

    Parikh, who is Indian-American, authored the post in response to a New York Times article in July, but it only came to the attention of outraged students last week, the students said.

    In the now-deleted post, the Harvard-educated academic said Latinos drop out of school at a high rate and that America needs an increasingly educated populace in order to compete, the group said.

    “Hispanics are GOOD people, gentle and nice and not at all criminal,” the posting reads. “But are they really the population which America needs for the rest of this century when more and more education is required?”

    Parikh also drew a distinction between high-achieving Indian immigrants and Latinos before noting that illegals deserved to get chucked out of the country, the students said.
