“Turkey has called on Greek President Propokopis Pavlopoulos to refrain from making inflammatory statements about Turkey that could cause unnecessary tension, while also condemning the burning of a Turkish flag at a demonstration in Athens on March 5.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hami Aksoy issued two separate written statements early March 7 expressing Ankara’s disturbance over recent developments in Greece.
Aksoy recalled that the Greek press quoted Pavlopoulos as saying: “We might not have the territory that we should have had historically,” and “If history compels us, we will do what our ancestors had done.”
“We invite President Pavlopoulos to respect international law and our borders, and to refrain from a rhetoric which is not befitting his position, that could cause unnecessary tension,” Aksoy said in response to the Greek president’s comments.
In a separate statement, Aksoy said a Turkish flag was burned during a rally in Athens.
“We strongly condemn the burning of our flag during a rally against Turkey organized by a racist political party in Athens on March 5,” he stressed.
“We demand the Greek authorities arrest the perpetrators who committed this heinous act against our flag and bring them to justice as soon as possible,” he added.
The move comes at a time the Greek government is urging the U.N., NATO and the European Union to put pressure on Turkey for the release of two of its soldiers who were detained on March 2 after they strayed into Turkey.”
Erdogan’s Rising Islamist Militarism
Nationalism is running high in Turkey. Turkish President Erdogan has done his best to promote militarism among the populace, including by openly encouraging the formation of civilian militias claiming to defend his government – and the Turkish nation.
Over the last year, the Turkish government has facilitated militaristic student parades, while Turkey’s state-run religious affairs directorate is teaching Turkish children about the grandeurs of martyrdom. Some state-run schools even replaced their recess bells with Ottoman military marches.
The Turkish government blames the U.S. for both the failed July 2016 coup and the rise of Kurdish self-rule in northern Syria. Most Turkish people, opinion polls show, now consider the U.S. the top threat to their national security. Erdogan has promised to deliver an “Ottoman slap” to the U.S. and “bury” U.S. special forces soldiers operating in Syria.
The U.S.-Turkish relationship cannot survive if the bulk of the Turkish population sees the U.S. in such adversarial terms. Eric S. Edelman is a former U.S. ambassador to Turkey and a senior adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, where Merve Tahiroglu is a research analyst.

More Turkish Jews Seek New Life in Israel
I learned that my Jewish friend, Izak, 32, had left Istanbul, where he had spent his whole life, to become one of the 400 Turkish Jews who settled in Israel last year – more than double the 164 who moved there the year before.
Izak explained to me, “I thought about it for two years. Then when the coup attempt in July 2016 happened, I made the decision that it was right to leave Turkey without wasting more time.”
On July 15, Izak (a pseudonym) looked at Twitter to find hundreds of posts by Turkish users blaming the coup attempt on Jews.

“Pakistan Army has shot down yet another Indian spy drone hovering over this side of the Line of Control (LoC) after intruding into the Chirikot sector in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the military’s media wing said.
“Pakistan Army troops shot down an Indian spy drone while it violated LoC in Chirikot Sector. The drone has been taken over by Pakistan Army troops,” said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.
“This is 4th drone which has been shot down by Pakistan Army troops in last one year,” the ISPR added.
The instances of ceasefire violations by the Indian forces recorded an alarming increase since the start of the month February following which the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has readied an evacuation plan for the residents near the LoC.
Last week, Pakistan lodged a protest with India against the ceasefire violations, summoning Indian Deputy High Commissioner J P Singh at the Foreign Office.”

“Islamabad’s counterinsurgency operations have had “some success in reducing violence” in Pakistan, a report by the US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) stated.
The report, which was submitted to US Senate’s Armed Services Committee is a worldwide threat assessment prepared by the DIA and reflects the “complexity, diversity, and scope of today’s challenges to our [US] national security” and aims to better understand the global challenges the US faces.
Referring to Pakistan in the report, the DIA said, “Islamabad is likely to proceed with its counterinsurgency operations and border management efforts along its western border while sustaining counter-terrorism and paramilitary operations throughout the country.”
Stating that these efforts have had some success in reducing violence in the country from “militant, sectarian, terrorist, and separatist groups,” the report further said that Pakistan will look towards the United States and the Afghan government for “support against anti-Pakistan fighters in Afghanistan.”
The report also referred to Pakistan’s nuclear stockpile, stating the country is “increasing its nuclear stockpile and developing tactical nuclear weapons and new ballistic missile systems.”…”

According to the Iraqi ministry of migration and displacement, the war against Daesh has displaced about 5.7 million Iraqis.
The Iraqi government says half of the displaced people returned to their liberated areas, but the rest are facing difficulties due to the destruction of their homes, the lack of basic services, and the spread of war remnants including explosives.”

UN report: International coalition violated humanitarian law in Syria (memo, Mar 7, 2018)

“The United Nations Commission of Inquiry on Syria has accused the international coalition led by the United States of violating international humanitarian law during its operations against Daesh in Syria.
The commission’s latest report said the coalition’s operations against Daesh in Raqqa and Deir al-Zour had a “high price” for civilians, adding that even before the operation began to liberate al-Raqqa, the international coalition has failed to take all possible measures to protect civilians and civilian sites when it launched an airstrike on Mansoura district, which killed at least 150 displaced persons, including women and children.
The report pointed out that Daesh has used the civilians in Raqqa as human shields after the coalition forces besieged them and thus violating international humanitarian law.
According to the report the coalition operations against Daesh resulted in one of the largest waves of displacement since the beginning of the conflict in Syria, where hundreds of thousands of men, women and children were displaced from Raqqa and Deir al-Zour to northern Syria.
The commission said the Syrian Democratic Forces are holding some 80,000 displaced people to investigate their possible links to Daesh organization.
“The total detention of all the people displaced from al-Raqqa and Deir al-Zour can not be justified” said commission member Karen Abu Zeid.
Abu Zeid added that this detention increases the suffering of the displaced and called to allow all those wishing to leave the camps to do so. The report said the Syrian Democratic Forces violations of international law includes forced recruitment, including the recruitment of children. According to the report, all parties to the conflict in Syria have targeted civilian sites, including places of worship, homes and centers for civil defence and medical facilities, markets, bakeries and schools.
The commission accused the Russian air force of launching an airstrike against a popular market and other civilian sites in the city of Atareb in Aleppo on November 13, killing at least 84 people and injuring 150 which accounts for a war crime.
Remarking on eastern Ghouta, the commission said the siege, which entered its fifth year, has been characterized by slippery war methods which led to the most dangerous situation during the Syrian conflict. It noted that the siege was accompanied by indiscriminate attacks against civilians and protected sites tnd the use of chemical weapons, cluster missiles and starvation as well as preventing people from evacuating the areas.
According to the report, rebels and armed groups inside eastern Ghouta have also carried out indiscriminate bombing against the city of Damascus, which resulted in the deaths of civilians and war crimes.
Commission member, Hani Megali said that “even if the state is fighting terrorism, It is not justified to punish the entire population through starvation, indiscriminate shelling and the denial of medical and humanitarian aid access”.
He called on all parties to immediately lift the siege from all areas and allow the access of aid and abandon strategies that target civilians, noting that the conflict in Syria in general completely ignores the rules of war.

The FBI chief added the main threat to the US are “homegrown violent extremists (HVEs)”, saying “the ocean doesn’t matter anymore”.
HVEs are usually born in the US and are aged between 19 and 25.
He said the the “lone wolf behaviour” of “people living in the basements of their parents’ house” makes them harder to detect for the FBI.
Social media and the internet is also being used to feed their radicalisation, with the age of wannabe terrorists slowly creeping down into the teens.
Mr Mcgarrity, who has been in the job only three weeks, was on the scene when suspected jihadi Sayfullo Saipov ploughed a truck down a bike path in New York, killing eight.

The Prime Minister’s statement is simply not true. We have re-occurring incidences of cancelled bus lines in fear of entering certain immigrant heavy areas, frequent attacks on emergency vehicles, oftentimes lured in there by fake 911 calls for the sole purpose of attacking the emergency personnel, and even reluctance in simple services such as delivering mail or investigating illegal television/cable services. The party pointed to an SVD report stating that the “number of residential areas in Sweden where the police can not maintain law and order now amounts to 55. The National Police Department’s intelligence section has identified the geographical areas where local criminal networks are considered to have a major negative impact on the environment. There are areas in which settlements among criminals can result in shooting on an open street, where residents do not dare to give testimony and where the police are not welcome.
The 2014 report entitled “A national overview of criminal networks with a major impact on local communities” stated there are areas where “unoccupied police cars are attacked”, where police officers are “attacked” and where “police and violence are common”.
It added: “Traders suffer from damage, burglary, robbery and extortion. Drug sales are done openly, and even though the gang does not control the territory, “Vehicle checks” occur in the fight for the drug market.”
The report from SVD stated: “The police do not use the concept of “no go” zones. It is originally military… for rebel-controlled areas. But the question is whether there is a clearer description of places where “the public in many cases perceives that criminals rule the area” and there “the police failed to fulfill their task.””
Loefven today suggested: “The picture of Sweden, it is two pictures. Yes we have our share of domestic problems and challenges no doubt about that. We’re dealing with them. We also have a good foundation for dealing with them”.”

At least three police were wounded in the overnight clashes at Menikhinna, a suburb of Kandy, which has been a focus of the new trouble, police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said.
Seven people were arrested for breaking the curfew and trying to cause unrest in the multi-ethnic district, which is a popular tourist destination.
Schools across Kandy, 115 kilometres (72 miles) east of Colombo, remained closed Wednesday as the government ordered more troops to reinforce police and stop the unrest spreading.
Foreign governments issued travel warnings following Tuesday’s declaration of a state of emergency which gives sweeping powers to police and security forces to arrest and detain suspects.
“The state of emergency may include curfews in specific locations,” the British government said. “You should exercise caution, avoid protests and rallies, and comply with local security requirements.”
The US State department told its citizens that further incidents were possible and advised those visiting the island to monitor local media for updates.
More than 150 homes, shops and vehicles were set ablaze during two days of rioting. Two people were also killed in the unrest.
Tensions rose on Tuesday as the body of a 24-year-old Muslim man was pulled out of a burnt building.
Sri Lanka’s parliament Tuesday issued an apology to the Muslim minority, which constitutes 10 percent of the country’s population of 21 million.
“We want to apologise to the Muslim community for the inhuman acts that have taken place,” state enterprise development minister Lakshman Kiriella said in parliament.
City planning minister Rauff Hakeem described the riots as a “monumental security lapse” and recommended disciplinary action against those responsible.
Riots erupted on Monday after a man from the mainly Buddhist Sinhalese majority died at the hands of a Muslim mob last week.
Mobs set fire to Muslim-owned businesses and attacked a mosque in the east of the country last week after a Muslim chef was accused of adding contraceptives to food sold to Sinhalese customers.
Last November riots in the south of the island left one man dead and homes and vehicles damaged.
In June 2014 riots between Buddhists and Muslims left four dead and many injured. That bout of violence was instigated by a Buddhist extremist group whose leaders are on trial, accused of spurring religious conflict.”

Please keep in mind that the preceding two poles are self-adjudged by Westerners, even as Muslims wait in the wings to fan media flames with their remarkably corresponding tales of woe.

A massive airplane being built by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen moved a step closer to flight last week, when it crept out of its hangar in Mojave, Calif., and practiced rolling down the runway, hitting a top speed of 46 mph.
Known as Stratolaunch, the plane has a wingspan even greater than that of business mogul Howard Hughes’s famed Spruce Goose and is designed to carry as many as three rockets, tethered to its belly, to about 35,000 feet. Once aloft, the rockets would drop, then fire their engines and deliver satellites to orbit.
But Allen has even bigger ambitions for Stratolaunch and is considering pairing it with a new space shuttle that’s known inside the company as Black Ice.

Britain knows more about mystery substance behind illness of Russian double agent
SALISBURY, England (Reuters) – Britain said on Wednesday that investigators now knew more about a mystery substance that struck down a former Russian double agent and his daughter in an English city, in a case that threatens to further damage already strained ties with Moscow.
Sergei Skripal, once a colonel in Russia’s GRU military intelligence service, and his 33-year-old daughter, Yulia, were found slumped unconscious on a bench outside a shopping center in the southern English city of Salisbury on Sunday afternoon.
Both remain critically ill in intensive care.
British politicians and media have speculated that Russia may have been behind the suspected poisoning of a man it regards as a traitor. Moscow has strongly rejected any involvement.
“We do know more about the substance and the police will be making a further statement this afternoon in order to share some of that,” interior minister Amber Rudd said after chairing the government’s emergency response committee.
“We need to keep a cool head and make sure that we collect all the evidence we can and we need to make sure that we respond not to rumor,” Rudd said. “Then we will need to decide what action to take.”

Sessions files suit against California over obstruction of immigration enforcement

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is scheduled to speak in Sacramento on Wednesday, and is expected to address the suit his Justice Department just filed in federal court seeking an injunction against three California laws that impede the federal government’s enforcement U.S. immigration law. (See here as well.)
The suit was filed in the U.S. Eastern District of California late on Tuesday 6 March 2018. This is a major counter-volley in what could either be a very big fight, or the rapid popping of a bubble. It will depend on what California does.
It really doesn’t look from here like California has a leg to stand on. Regardless of what the lower courts do, it seems extremely unlikely that the Supreme Court would find for California on this matter. The DOJ position that the three California laws it is suing over impede federal enforcement is hard to dispute, and the weight of precedent regarding the federal government’s unique primacy in making and enforcing immigration law is unquestioned.
Given the expected character of the Supreme Court over the next 18 months, when this case would probably be heard, it seems like a waste of time for California to make this stand. In fact, it seems like more than a waste of time: it looks counterproductive. Having SCOTUS reaffirm precedent and void the California laws would simply bolster the federal position.

The piece, from New Yorker reporter Jane Mayer, was widely hailed by mainstream and left-leaning journalists. MSNBC host Rachel Maddow touted it as a “staggering piece of reporting,” citing it as the biggest bombshell in the revelation that Steele wrote a memo alleging the Kremlin intervened to block President Donald Trump from selecting Mitt Romney as his secretary of state.
The piece does reveal numerous previously unknown facts about Steele and the dossier. Not all of the facts are favorable to the former MI6 officer and his infamous report.

Steele learned months after being hired by Fusion GPS that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) were funding his investigation, according to Mayer. The Palestinian Authority (PA) has been working hard to persuade the Arab countries to support its position in the standoff with the US administration.
The PA leadership in Ramallah fears that without the backing of the Arab countries, the US administration will “impose” President Donald Trump’s “deal of the century” — the yet-to-be-announced plan for peace in the Middle East.
The Arab countries, however, appear to be preoccupied with other matters. For now, the Palestinians are getting much lip service from their Arab brothers, including promises to put pressure on the Trump administration possibly to “modify” its plan to make it less “harmful” to Palestinian demands and aspirations.
What is actually happening is that the PA leadership is terrified that many of the Arab countries will support the Trump plan, thus abandoning their Palestinian brothers and leaving them exposed to international pressure to accept the “deal of the century.” This fear does not seem to be unjustified.

ALPHEN ON DEN RIJN – On the schoolyard of the Scala College in Alphen aan den Rijn, a man has caused panic on Tuesday by threatening students with two large knives.
On video footage taken from a balcony of a flat house on the Diamantstraat you can see how the man, who has two large knives in his hands, walks on the schoolyard and is chased away by students from the square. The knife thief is kicked and students throw their bags at him. Eventually the man runs away.
‘Children challenged him’
Pupils at Scala College tell Studio Alphen that the man lives in one of the adjacent care homes. He would have been challenged and bullied for several weeks by students. ‘It was a break so many children were in the schoolyard. He had been standing in front of the square for a while and suddenly pulled two knives’, says a group from the Alphen high school.
“He screamed: go away, otherwise I will stab you!”, The young people tell. The moment the man pulled his knives, panic arose in the schoolyard. Other children have driven the man away. The quickly alarmed police stopped the man a bit further down the Diamantstraat. He surrendered without problems, according to the witnesses.
Law enforcement
The police can not say anything about the reason behind the threat. It has been confirmed that the man has been arrested. It is a 44-year-old confused Alphenaar who is in a relief program. The suspect is detained for threats.
The Scala College says against Omroep West, media partner of Studio Alphen, not being able to respond to the Tuesday afternoon incident. According to the police, the school provides care and aftercare for school pupils.

Jolyon Welsh, whose Foreign Office roles have included deputy head of Middle East, was given special unpaid leave in 2014 to become a senior director of Consulum, according to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism. The communications firm was founded by former executives from Bell Pottinger, the agency that collapsed last year after a scandal over a campaign for South Africa’s Gupta family.
Consulum’s client list includes Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, widely known as MBS. He is Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler, whose state visit to the UK starts this Wednesday amid controversy over his country’s military campaign in Yemen. Saudi-led coalition forces have killed hundreds of civilians and, at one point, sealed off the state to humanitarian access.
Sealing off the borders and ports prevented aid access to the poverty-stricken nation, exacerbating the cholera crisis that has so far affected 31,421 of Yemenis. According to the UN more than 9,000 people, most of them civilians, have been killed in Yemen. More than 52,000 have also been injured in the fighting since the war began in March 2015.
The Bureau reports that Welsh has at least some involvement with the Saudi account. The fact he is involved at all underscores the close ties between London and Riyadh, as permission to work for a private firm is only given if “directly and closely related to a specific FCO area of interest [and] in line with our strategic priorities.”
Lloyd Russell-Moyle MP, a member of the Commons committee on Arms Export Controls, told the Bureau: “It’s one thing for the Foreign Office to provide political cover for the Saudis’ assault on Yemen, which defies all notions of proportionality and which I believe in several cases constitutes war crimes. It’s quite another for the FCO to have lent its staff to a company working for the Saudis’ PR operation.”
The Foreign Office told the Bureau that there are now 34 officials such as Welsh, working in the private sector while maintaining their Foreign Office status.
Mass protests against the Crown Prince’s visit are expected to take place at Downing Street on Wednesday. But to counter the bad publicity, ads in newspapers were posted, billboards were put up and trucks with positive messages about the Saudi leader were driven around London.
The trucks showed his image and promoted the hashtag #WelcomeSaudiCrownPrince, while digital billboards on the M4 from Heathrow bore the message – “He is bringing change to Saudi Arabia.”
In an ironic twist, an advert with the message “He is empowering Saudi Arabian women,” appeared on The Guardian’s website next to shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry’s article on his visit. She wrote that the three-day visit showed the Government “doesn’t care a jot about human rights.””

Historic Gravensteen Castle (Ghent, Flanders) was selected by a coalition of left-wing groups last weekend to represent ”Fortress Europe” in a migrant solidarity event billed as the symbolic storming of an EU closed to migrants.
Instead it was the event itself which was unexpectedly stormed by a newly formed nationalist youth movement, Schild en Vrienden (literally ”Shield and Friends”), several dozen members of which purposefully strode into the 12th century castle, proceeding to cut down a gigantic EU flag from its walls and challenging what they referred to as ”state subsidized propaganda.”
’He’s sabotaging the action!’’, a leftist organizer cries out from the upper walls of the castle as Schild en Vrienden leader, the photogenic Dries Van Langenhove, dramatically climbs over a crenellated rampart to cut down a vertical banner promoting the storming of the fortress, the fortress in this case being a metaphor for a Europe supposedly closed to migrants.
In spite of NGO claims, official statistics show that a staggering 5 million migrants arrived to claim asylum in the EU between 2011 and 2017, with almost 3 million asylum applications being made in 2015 and 2016 alone.
Beneath the castle walls meanwhile, members of the newly formed nationalist group – sharing similar aims but not related to ”hipster nationalists” Generation Identity – displayed Flemish crests and signs calling for ‘’Secure Borders, Secure Future.”
Weekend visitors to the touristic attraction soon began to notice the commotion taking place as tensions rose and the central prop of the event, a gigantic EU flag bearing the phrase ‘’Europe can be different’’ was cut down from its prominent position, left hanging neither up nor down until a handful of nationalists at ground level tore it away from the castle walls.
Angry shrieking and gasps of incredulity can be heard from supporters of the open borders event as the flag is torn down. Cheers erupt simultaneously.
At various intervals during the day, left-wing organizations – including a theatrical troupe – had led small children in mock attacks on the castle, storming through its gatehouse in a politically themed spectacle featuring people smugglers and stern border enforcers. Eight members of a German far-right group face verdicts Wednesday after a year-long terrorism trial over a series of explosives attacks targeting refugees and anti-fascist activists.
Based in Germany’s ex-communist east, the so-called “Freital group” had sought to create “a climate of fear” at the height of Germany’s refugee and migrant influx in 2015, prosecutors say.
The seven men and one woman, now aged between 20 and 40, modified pyrotechnics they had bought in the neighbouring Czech Republic for five explosives attacks.
One Syrian refugee was injured in a blast, and prosecutors charge that the group had casually accepted the risk of more victims and possible deaths in their attacks.

BERLIN — Millions of Europeans who arrived late to work or school have a good excuse — an unprecedented slowing of the frequency of the continent’s electricity grid.
The Brussels-based European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity, or ENTSO-E, said Wednesday the problem began mid-January and affects 25 countries, from Portugal to Poland and Greece to Germany.
It says the deviation from Europe’s standard 50 Hz frequency is caused by a loss of energy in the area of Kosovo and Serbia because of a political dispute between the two countries.

If you are a noncompliant jurisdiction in terms of cooperating with immigration enforcement and you take the White House to court, demanding that you receive your Justice Department grant money anyway, be careful what you wish for. Sure, if you shop around for the right judge you can probably get a ruling in your favor, at least until it reaches the Supreme Court. But if your claim is outrageous enough, you never know what might happen.
That seems to be the case with California this week. They went so far as to declare that the entire state was a sanctuary for criminal illegal aliens but demanded that Uncle Sam keep dishing out the grant money anyway. In a somewhat surprising turn of events, a district judge in Northern California (!) has ruled that the government doesn’t have to pony up the cash until the matter can be hashed out fully in court.

BRITAIN First’s leader Paul Golding has been jailed for religiously-aggravated hate crimes.
Paul Golding, 36, has been caged for 18 weeks for distributing leaflets and posting videos online during a Muslim gang-rape trial last year.
Britain First deputy leader Jayda Fransen, 31, was sentenced to 36 weeks for three similar charges after being found guilty at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today.
Fransen was found guilty of three of the four charges against her, and Golding was convicted on one count of religious harassment.
The pair were found to have harassed four male defendants during a gang-rape trial.
Judge Justin Barron dismissed the remaining counts against them.
He told the court that Fransen and Golding were “well-known”, “controversial” and “generate their own publicity”, but his verdict was based “solely on admissible evidence heard in court”.
He said: “I have no doubt it was their joint intention to use the facts of the case [in Canterbury] for their own political ends.
“It was a campaign to draw attention to the race, religion and immigrant background of the defendants.”
The original trial saw four men convicted of raping a girl, 16, above a takeaway.
Frasen and Golding stood trial at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court – both denying the charges brought against them.
The Britain First pair were convicted on a joint charge of religiously aggravated harassment after an incident on May 5 at 555 Pizza takeaway in Ramsgate, Kent, last year.
Tamin Rahmani’s brother Faiz told the court: “The lady with red hair approached me and told me ‘you are a Muslim rapist’.
“I was shocked and was panicking.
“She asked me ‘are you a good or bad Muslim?’.
“She said ‘Muslims rape British kids.’
Fransen said doorstepping was “a legitimate method of reporting,” adding: “I think that I have a duty to raise the profile of these issues”.
She denied being racist or acting aggressively.
Fransen banged on the windows and doors of the shop and screamed “paedophile” and “foreigner” while two children were playing in the middle of the shop and Jamshed Khesrow, a friend of the owners, was inside.
She was convicted of abuse after visiting a house she wrongly believed to be the current address of another defendant, Sershah Muslimyar. But was cleared of uploading a video of this incident.
Jaswant Narwal, Chief Crown Prosecutor in the South East for the Crown Prosecution Service, said: “The prosecution case demonstrated these defendants were not merely exercising their right to free speech but were instead aiming religiously aggravated abuse at innocent members of the public.
“The victims suffered the distress of the abuse followed by additional stress when the footage was uploaded to the internet.
“This offending also related to an ongoing criminal trial and the actions taken by Fransen and could easily have derailed the justice process.”
In a video shown in court, Golding, 36, explained how being arrested and charged only makes Britain First stronger.
He said: “We can be shot, stabbed, bombed, but we will carry on with great determination.
“Not in a billion years are we going to surrender.
“We are in this to the death for as long as humanly possible.
“We will never surrender to police persecution.”

PAUL Golding and Jayda Fransen, the leader and deputy leader of far-right group Britain First, have been jailed for racially abusing Muslim men in Kent last year.
Golding, 36, was handed 18 weeks at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court for three counts of religiously aggravated harassment while Fransen, 31, was caged for nine months after being found guilty of four.
They were arrested in May last year over the alleged distribution of leaflets and posting of online videos during a trial at Canterbury Crown Court, where three Muslim men and a teenager were convicted of rape and jailed.
Fransen allegedly went to the Kent home of one of the defendants, Tamin Rahmani, and shouted racist abuse through the front door.
His pregnant partner Kelli Best said she was alone with their two children, aged three years and 18 months, at the time of the incident on May 9 last year.
On a video played in court, Fransen could be seen banging on the door and shouting: “Come out and face me you disgusting rapist, come on.”
Fransen denied using the phrase “Muslim bastards”, or saying that all Muslims are rapists.
Golding said he was only acting as Fransen’s cameraman, and that it was her campaign.
Judge Justin Barron said their words and actions “demonstrated hostility” towards Muslims and the Muslim faith.

Britain First is a far-right and British nationalist political party formed in 2011 by anti-abortion campaigner Jim Dowson and Paul Golding.
The group opposes mass immigration but says it is not racist but a loyalist movement.
Its Facebook page has 1.9million “likes”, but their social media posts, including praising a terrorist mosque attack in Finsbury Park, London, have attracted widespread criticism.
The group’s Twitter account is withheld in Germany.
On November 29, several tweets containing videos posted by a member of the group were then retweeted by President Donald Trump’s account.
One of the clips allegedly showed a Muslim man appearing to destroy a statue of the Virgin Mary.
Another allegedly showed a group of men killing a youngster and is titled: “Islamist mob pushes teenage boy off roof and beats him to death.”
The President was condemned by Downing Street for sharing the posts, with No.10 describing Trump’s actions as “wrong”.

Britain First has been noted for its extreme white supremacist and anti-Muslim stance in the past and Fransen, its deputy leader, gained particular notoriety when racially charged videos she published on Twitter were retweeted by Donald Trump.
At least one was later found to be fake and the incident caused a rift between Trump and Theresa May.

“Saudi Arabia’s powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has described Turkey as part of a “triangle of evil” along with Iran and hardline Islamist groups, Egypt’s Al-Shorouk newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The Saudi prince also accused Turkey of trying to reinstate the Islamic Caliphate, abolished nearly a century ago when the Ottoman Empire collapsed.
His reported comments reflect Saudi Arabia’s deep suspicion of President Tayyip Erdogan, whose ruling AK Party has its roots in Islamist politics and who has allied his country with Qatar in its dispute with Saudi Arabia and some other Gulf states.
Turkey has also worked with Iran, Saudi Arabia’s arch-rival in the Middle East, to try to reduce fighting in northern Syria in recent months, and Iranian and Turkish military chiefs exchanged visits last year.
Al-Shorouk quoted Prince Mohammed as saying “the contemporary triangle of evil comprises Iran, Turkey and extremist religious groups.”
The prince spoke to Egyptian newspaper editors during a visit to Cairo, on his first foreign trip since becoming heir to the oil-exporting giant last year.
He said the dispute with Qatar could be long-lasting, comparing it to the US embargo of Cuba imposed 60 years ago, but played down its impact, dismissing the Gulf emirate as “smaller than a Cairo street”.
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain cut diplomatic and trade links with Qatar last June, suspending air and shipping routes with the world’s biggest exporter of liquefied natural gas, which is home to the region’s biggest US military base.
However, the Crown Prince said Qatar would not be barred from attending an Arab summit hosted by Saudi Arabia later this month.”
