  1. Police in Britain and Spain have made 12 arrests in an intercontinental prostitution ring where a criminal gang allegedly used “voodoo rituals” to force African women and girls into sex work.
Investigators believe the gang used voodoo rituals against women and girls to coerce them into sex slavery and to “break their will”, the Mirror reports.

As part of the rituals, the women were forced to eat raw chicken hearts and some had their fingernails and pubic hair pulled out, detectives said.

Police say the women were captured in impoverished parts of Nigeria and the voodoo rituals were used to control them, the women fearing that if they did not comply they or their families would be killed.

Some women are believed to have been ‘recruited’ for jobs, to be illegally smuggled into Europe using fake travel documents, but upon arrival in Italy, were sent to Spain and forced into prostitution to pay off their ‘debt’ to the traffickers.

In the last few months, Iranian women have begun to publicly take a stand against the law that forces them to wear a veil in public. Hundreds have protested in the same way: they climb atop a telephone junction box in the street, and they wave their scarf at the end of a stick. To try to stop this, Tehran police put a big spike on one of these boxes… but it didn’t work out quite as they had hoped.

Minister Gerald Collomb says Sunday on CNews television that one attack was targeting a major sports center, and the other French soldiers. He said both plots were “not totally finalized.” He didn’t elaborate.

Collomb said several suspects in the cases have been arrested and jailed. They were known by authorities as radicalized, he said.

The Palestinian, who claimed to be from Syria, attempted to rape a 10-year-old girl last June and was convicted of child abuse at a court in Tübingen and sentenced to five years and nine months in prison, Stern reports.

What confused many was the fact that the man, despite a long record of criminal behaviour, had been granted asylum status by the German Federal Office of Refugees and Migration (BAMF) in April of last year.

“The leaders of the militant groups are preparing provocation with the use of poisonous substances in the Eastern Ghouta enclave in order to accuse Damascus of using the chemical weapons, the Russian Defense Ministry said late on Sunday…”

    • Germany: Berlin ready to provide Eastern Ghouta with humanitarian aid – FM spokesperson

Spokesperson for the German Foreign Ministry Maria Adebahr said that Germany is standing ready with humanitarian aid for when the recently agreed-upon UN ceasefire comes into effect in the besieged Syrian enclave of Eastern Ghouta, during a routine press conference in Berlin on Monday.

    • Syria: SAA resume operation into Eastern Ghouta

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their operation into Eastern Ghouta on Sunday, after reportedly breaking through the front lines of Jaysh Al-Islam, an Islamist rebel group with a large presence in the area.

Footage filmed on Sunday shows the Syrian Army’s “Tiger Forces” as they advance in Tal Farzat.

On Saturday, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) unanimously voted for a nationwide 30-day ceasefire. The resolution does not extend to the self-proclaimed Islamic State , Jabhat al-Nusra, al-Qaeda, and other groups the UNSC deems as “terrorist groups.”

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, said on Monday that a ceasefire in Syria does not apply to the fight against terrorism. “Both in Eastern Ghouta and in Idlib there are militant groups which are portrayed by the West as moderate [Ahrar al sham and Jaish al Islam] but that are cooperating with a terrorist group – al Nusra – designated by the UNCS.”

    • al jazeera – Syria: Chemical attack suspected in Eastern Ghouta siege

Medics in Syria say a child has died and a dozen more are being treated after another suspected chlorine gas attack. Witnesses reported smelling the gas after an explosion in the rebel-held area of Eastern Ghouta. The Syrian government has denied using chemical weapons in the war.

More than 500 people, including women and children, have died in Eastern Ghouta. At least 23 people were killed on Monday, despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire.

Since then, thousands of families trapped in Eastern Ghouta have been left fearing for their lives, as unprecedented levels of bombing and shelling have pounded the opposition-held region.

In some parts of Eastern Ghouta the destruction is now even greater than at the height of the Aleppo crisis in 2016, yet with only a tiny fraction of the global attention and outrage.

  12. Activists Warn Illegals Not to Travel in Florida as Immigration Arrests Mount

As arrests of illegal immigrants increase due to actions taken by President Donald Trump to enforce laws greatly ignored by Barack Obama, civil rights activists in Florida are issuing travel warnings and tips on how to avoid law enforcement.

A Florida immigration coalition composed of activist groups, such as the Council of American-Islamic Relations of Florida, the Women’s March, and the Florida Immigrant Coalition, are urging anyone who’s in the country illegally to “reconsider visiting Florida and especially recommended to avoid high-risk areas, including ports, airports, and Greyhound stations,” as reported by the Miami New Times.

Activists have staged events across the state to get out the word to illegal immigrants who are thinking about vacationing in Florida during Spring Break. They’re also posting information on which areas to avoid as cooperation has stepped up between Immigration and Customs Enforcement and 17 sheriffs across the state, a decision that has been challenged by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Tokyo (AFP) – Japanese police investigating the discovery of a woman’s severed head have reportedly uncovered several other body parts in different locations, acting on information from an American in custody over her disappearance.

Authorities found a torso and two arms in the mountains near the western city of Osaka and two legs in Japan’s ancient capital of Kyoto, some 50 kilometres (30 miles) away, according to local media.

Police on Saturday found the head of the unidentified woman inside a suitcase left in a room in Osaka which was rented by the American.

Police have formally arrested the 26-year-old and he has confessed to “abandoning the woman’s body”, according to national broadcaster NHK.

The woman was last seen in mid-February walking into a building in Osaka with the man. Before she disappeared, she told friends she was visiting a man she had met online.

  17. Want see where strict gun control leads? Look at Mexico
By Thomas Madison February 25, 2018

I remain perplexed by liberals who cannot connect the dots between strict gun control and a defenseless population, sitting ducks for criminals who will always have guns regardless of how many laws are passed prohibiting them.

Most private guns in Mexico are in the hands of the drug cartels. It is very difficult for regular citizens to own guns, the availability of which is tightly controlled. (Mexico has one gun shop in the country, in Mexico City).

Thus, per capita gun ownership in Mexico is a very small fraction of gun ownership in the U.S. Yet, Mexico has a homicide rate four times that of the U.S.

“2017 may have been the worst year for homicide in Mexico since the government began keeping track in the 1990s,” writes Tyler Durden of Zero Hedge. He adds:

    • Gun Control is people control, the ordinary people not the criminals. The lower the rate of gun ownership the higher the rate of all crimes including murder.

      • The libs do connect the dots, they want it just like Mexico if not worse. The worse it is for the serf the better the libs like it.

        • You got that right, as David Horowitz says, “Inside every liberal is a totalitarian struggling to get out.”

Important free speech case filed against Twitter
    by Ann Corcoran

And, it all started when Twitter banned Jared Taylor and American Renaissance from its platform.
Breitbart has a long report on the case. I think Taylor has a good case, but you know how our court system has become (too often these days) the place where Leftwing ideology has found its home and Constitutional protections are lost, so I won’t dare to predict how this could turn out.
Here is Ian Mason writing at Breitbart about the case filed last week in California:
A group of free-speech lawyers filed the most serious legal challenge yet to Twitter’s censorship policies Tuesday in San Francisco County Superior Court, seeking a ruling preventing Twitter from banning users purely on the basis of their views and political associations.
Twitter made a big mistake taking on Taylor! Taylor’s case has a good chance of prevailing if the California judge is not a Leftwing ideologue. And, if he/she is, could Jared Taylor v. Twitter go all the way to the Supreme Court?
The 29-page complaint contends that, under a California legal doctrine that recognizes some private facilities as “public forums,” Twitter may not discriminate against speech on their platform based purely on viewpoint. If successful, it would be the first extension of that doctrine to internet social media platforms and could transform the way free speech is treated online. The suit became all the more relevant Wednesday as Twitter stood accused of locking out thousands of conservatives under the guise of cracking down on “Russian bots.”
The genesis of the suit is Twitter’s November 2017 announcement that they would start banning and sanctioning users based on their offline behavior and associations.
On December 18, 2017, Twitter, five years after their top British executive described the company as “the free speech wing of the free speech party,” made good on this threat, “purging” hundreds of mostly right-wing users. Twitter’s new policy refers to association with “violent extremist groups,” and a company blog post claimed, “If an account’s profile information includes a violent threat or multiple slurs, epithets, racist or sexist tropes, incites fear, or reduces someone to less than human, it will be permanently suspended.”
One of those purged is Jared Taylor, founder and editor of “American Renaissance,” a fringe-right journal on race and immigration. He is frequently described as an “extremist” and a “white supremacist” by left-wing groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the latter of which sits on Twitter’s “Trust and Safety Council,” the largely leftist group of activists and non-profits Twitter assembled in 2016 to help decide which speech to censor.
Taylor is a graduate of Yale University and Paris’s Sciences Po, the former West Coast editor of PC Magazine, and author of several books. He describes himself as a “white advocate” or “race realist” and condemns Nazism and antisemitism.
According to the complaint, in his more than six years on Twitter, Taylor never made threats, harassed anyone, or otherwise came under scrutiny for his behavior on the platform. Even the SPLC notes Taylor “scrupulously avoided racist epithets [and] employed the language of academic journals” in his writings, and Taylor once wrote an article urging people to be more civil on Twitter.
    [….]
Yet both Taylor’s personal account and that of American Renaissance were permanently banned. The only explanation Twitter gave was that the accounts were “affiliated with a violent extremist group.” Twitter refused to offer Taylor any further details including to which “violent extremist group” he was affiliated.
    There is much more here.
    The SPLC and me….
You might also want to know that the SPLC has gone on another of its media hit campaigns. See that the Baltimore Sun has listed me as a “hate group” (taking the SPLC’s word for it!) without ever checking to find out that I am a journalist blogger and have no group!
How many more one-person ‘groups’ are on SPLC’s “hate group” list?
LOL! The Sun says Maryland hate groups are “on the rise” as Maryland gains one “hate group” since the SPLC’s list last year.
The SPLC aimed its big-money guns at me after the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society directed them to my work. Of course HIAS didn’t like anyone questioning their federal funding and their refugee resettlement program.

  20. Palestinians: Israel is One Big Settlement

    by Bassam Tawil
    February 26, 2018 at 5:00 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11949/palestinians-israel-settlements

No doubt Ismail Radwan is a terrorist, but, unlike other Palestinian leaders and spokesmen, he is at least an honest one.

At a time when most Palestinian leaders are telling the world that settlements are the real “obstacle” to peace, Radwan, a senior Hamas official, last week made it clear that the conflict with Israel is not about Jews living in a settlement in the West Bank. The truth is that the Palestinians see Israel as one big settlement that needs to be uprooted from the Middle East.

The Palestinians do not differentiate between a Jew living in a settlement on the outskirts of Bethlehem, in the West Bank, and a Jew living in the cities of Haifa, Tel Aviv or Eilat. All the Jews, they say, are “occupiers” and “settlers” who need to “go back to where they came from.”

For the Palestinians, the real “occupation” began with the establishment of Israel in 1948.

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel declined to answer when CNN’s Jake Tapper asked him if four deputies were ordered to stand down during the Parkland school shooting.

It was reported this week that not only did school resource officer Scot Peterson not enter the school when he knew the shooting was happening, but three other sheriff’s deputies also waited behind their vehicles while the shooter killed 17 people inside the school.

Tapper first asked Israel if it was “policy” for the Broward County Sheriff’s department to “set up a perimeter” before going into the school to stop the shooter. Israel had said in an interview after the Fort Lauderdale airport shooting that he learned it was important for officers to set up a “staging area” before entering the premises, but he denied that such strategy applied to the Parkland school shooting.

OXON HILL, M.D. — Former Google senior software engineer James Damore suggested that employees at the major Silicon Valley tech company have a widespread animus toward the American South.

When asked whether he thinks there is a bias against Southerners at Google, Damore said, “Yeah, they generally think that all Southerners are stupid.” He remarked on the difficulty of keeping himself silent while hearing his fellow employees attack various conservative groups.

Damore recalled “always having to be quiet on any political topic, and having to endure misrepresentations of conservative thought and trashing of conservative politicians, and really belittling the American South.”

Google employees root this disdain for the American South in identity politics, Damore told PJ Media in an interview Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). “They’ve reduced everything to identity politics, and you being poor but white is, you’re still privileged,” he said.

  23. Muslims and guns: A community under threat considers its options

On a recent afternoon Dr. Mohammad Shuayb, a Tampa-area dentist, brought a pistol to work with him for the first time.

Early that morning, his assistant had called him with a piece of ominous news: a woman called the office over the weekend and left an expletive-ridden rant decrying the doctor as a Muslim and claiming he was a supporter of ISIS. She called back and hung up several times after leaving the message.

“I said, ‘I feel like I’m just gonna put it on today,’” Dr. Shuayb, a Syrian-born American citizen and devout Muslim, told Fusion about the impact of the call. “It’s right here,” he said, grabbing at the pocket of his jeans. “Small, concealed.”

Guns have always been considered a weekend hobby for Dr. Shuayb, consisting of trips to the gun range with his seven sons and daughters. “Being an American, I practice my right to have a gun,” he said. But until now, he has been reluctant to exercise his permit to carry a concealed weapon.

  24. ABC Suggests White House Hiding Evidence With Memo Redactions

On Saturday, the White House officially allowed the rebuttal memo drafted by House Democrats on the Intelligence Committee to be released. The memo was meant to rebuke the one released by their Republican counterparts a few weeks ago, but the FBI requested that certain information be redacted because it exposed sources and methods. In response to the release, ABC’s Good Morning America touted the memo on Sunday but claimed the White House was responsible for the redactions and suggested they were hiding something.

The latest memo was written up by Congressman Adam Schiff (Calif.) and was meant to be a “point by point rebuttal of another Republican memo released weeks ago. Subject line, ‘correcting the record, the Russia investigations,’” hyped White House Correspondent David Wright at the start of his report. And with great snarkiness, he added: “As it says there on the bottom, top secret, until now. When the Republicans finally got around to declassifying it.”

Wright failed to mention that the Republicans unanimously voted to release the Democratic memo weeks ago and that the holdup was the FBI, just as he did with explaining who wanted the redactions.

  25. Sex, Drugs & Refugees: Syrian boys resort to prostitution to survive in Athens (Documentary Promo)

Full documentary premieres on Wednesday, February 28 – watch it on air and via our social platforms.

As night falls in Athens, the city’s squares turn seedy, and middle-aged European men can be seen chatting with teenage Syrian boys – a seemingly odd pairing of friends. Many of these youngsters are refugees who have resorted to selling themselves for as little as €10 just to eat. Some also choose drug pedaling and petty theft to survive. With no official documents or help from Greece’s immigration authorities, they are stranded in this horrific life. To escape, some consider abandoning their dream of living in Europe, and others even contemplate suicide.

  26. Hungary wants UN rights chief to resign over Orban criticism

Hungary demands that the UN’s top human rights official steps down over his “unacceptable” and “inappropriate” criticism of Prime Minister Victor Orban’s anti-migration rhetoric.

  27. al jazeera – Hungary: Orban’s media manipulation exposed

f the polls are to be believed, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban could win his third, consecutive election this April. Should that happen, the media there will have played a large part.

Since coming to power for the second time in 2010, the Orban government has devoted considerable energy and resources to restructuring the domestic media landscape in its favour.

According to the investigative journalism outlet Atlatszo.hu, allies of the prime minister and his Fidesz party have been buying up numerous, private Hungarian media outlets since 2010. Men like former Hollywood producer Andy Vajna and old school friend Lorinc Meszaros are among a group of 14 Orban allies who have collectively bought 20 television channels, 11 radio stations and close to 500 online and print organisations.

“Public media has been totally conquered by the government since 2010. Now they have four channels to communicate the rhetoric of the government. It’s just full-time government propaganda,” says Daniel Renyi, a journalist at 444.hu.

State media remains a powerful megaphone. The umbrella organisation, created by the Hungarian government in 2011, is called the MTVA and it oversees all public output across TV, radio and web.

MTVA costs Hungarians more than $305m a year and is referred to by critics as “a taxpayer-funded propaganda network”.

The Listening Post managed to speak to two MTVA employees who described a lack of editorial independence and a climate of fear. They’re wary of speaking out and did so on the condition that we disguise their faces and their voices.

“Every single thing connected to domestic politics is restricted,” says one of the MTVA employees. “You can’t write anything bad about the government. For example, when something is politically sensitive, I get instructions. In some cases, I have the whole ready-made article, so I don’t need to do anything, no editing at all, just control C, copy and paste, the whole article. It’s unimaginable, to be honest.”

Being pro-Orban requires the Hungarian media to turn against those critical of his government and its agenda. That means opposition figures, critical voices at the European Union, refugees, and one, well-known Hungarian emigrant, George Soros.

The US-based billionaire businessman and philanthropist has, through his Open Society Foundations, funded investigations into the Orban government and campaigned in favour of multiculturalism and more open borders – ideals squarely at odds with the prime minister’s.

For the Fidesz party, Soros has become a handy scapegoat. Anti-Soros rhetoric is all over the Hungarian media, which portrays Soros as someone who represents ‘all’ that threatens the country.

According to the MTVA insiders, editorial directives from the government on the Soros story can be crystal clear.

“Whatever a story is about, if it mentions Soros, we focus on it. Anything that has any connection to Soros gets the ‘Soros’ beginning: Soros-organisation, Soros-university. And of course the word ‘migrant’. And then left-liberal: Left-liberal newspapers, left-liberal-journalists. So just three words: Soros, migrant and left-liberal. That’s the government’s whole campaign,” explains the other MTVA employee.

The Listening Post team tried to put these claims of government interference directly to the government spokesperson, Zoltan Kovacs, but he turned down the interview request via text message. He said he did not “believe the government should in any way comment on media issues”, even going so far as to say, “The government has nothing to do with the media.”

Hungary’s combination of tightly-controlled state media and private outlets owned by government-friendly tycoons means that most of the country’s media is on the same page when it comes to some of the most important issues. Evidence of that can be found in the eerily similar, pro-government talking points that keep appearing, almost word for word, in multiple news outlets.

“We figured out that the content creation is centralised,” explains Renyi. “We created this model, you can see that an information pops up somewhere, and in an hour all these media [outlets] that have been influenced by the government, referred to it and they spread it around.”

Orban has publicly stated that “I am convinced that an essential part of national sovereignty is having the majority of a media system in national hands.”

The majority of Hungary’s news media is already owned by Hungarians. But it seems that Viktor Orban wants it all. And when he says the media system must be in national

    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/migrants-stalled-route-hide-greek-citys-ancient-walls-53365567

“The stone walls that cut through the old quarter of Greece’s second-largest city defended Thessaloniki for more than 2,000 years. For a 24-year-old Pakistani immigrant, parts of the remaining ramparts mean survival.

Muhammed Adeel and other homeless men sleep in the old reinforced gun positions. Filthy blankets, rolled-up mattresses and empty food packaging fill the protected chambers that once housed cannon.

“I came here with a dream, but I have nothing — no job, nowhere to live, nothing at all,” Adeel said after a near-freezing night in a dome-shaped casemate.

The European Union struck a deal with Turkey nearly two years ago to halt the surge of asylum-seekers attempting the dangerous sea voyage from Turkey to the Greek islands, the most popular route to Europe at the time. The crackdown also left tens of thousands of newcomers confined to Greece’s eastern islands or mainland camps during the long asylum application process.

Some desperate migrants, particularly those with slim chances of winning asylum, have turned to another route — heading overland through Turkey and wading across the heavily policed Evros River to neighboring Greece…”

    • Thessaloniki used to be the center of the Ladino-speaking world. Majority population since 15th century. Murdered, almost in its entirety.

      Takuan Seiyo notes:
As to Greece, but for the Muslim countries in Europe it’s the most ideologically communist country in Europe strangely enough also the most anti-Semitic (probably excepting Albania and Bosnia) with very ancient roots of antagonism to Jews going back to Alexandria and the Seleucid rule of Israel in the 3dr and 2nd century BC, then tripled in the early days of Christianity as the new religion was evolving from a sort of reform Judaism to a neo-Platonic creed of Greeks and Greek-speaking Gentiles blaming “the Jews” for deicide.

All this combined with a Byzantine level of corruption. Between the corruption of the rulers, the leftism of the ruled, and universal love for the enemies of Jews, Greece is getting exactly what it has bargained for, including the economic devastation, unemployment, sympathy for Hamas, hordes of Muslim colonizers and, yes, Golden Dawn.

Starting off in Algeria on Monday, Erdogan is seeking to give a boost to economic relations between the two countries, notably through a business forum organized for the visit.

In a statement, Algeria’s presidency said the two-day visit to the country will allow Erdogan to share with his counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika “his analysis of the regional and international situation, especially in the Middle East, North Africa and Sahel.”

After Algeria, Erdogan will visit Mauritania, Senegal and Mali.”

“A London man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for terrorism offenses after an investigation that started with a complaint about a Facebook message.

Mohammed Kamal Hussain was sentenced in Kingston Crown Court Monday after being found guilty of encouraging terrorism and supporting a banned organization.

The investigation started when a man emailed the Home Office after receiving a private message on Facebook urging him to join the Islamic State extremist group. Police found that the 28-year-old Hussain sent that message and had posted numerous messages praising IS.

The person who notified the Home Office did not live in Britain and said he did not know the sender of the message.

The case was given to the Met Police’s counter-terrorism unit that specializes in removing online extremist material.”

  31. GERMANY – ‘Nazi’ sprayed on food charity which refused to take new migrant clients

The police said on Monday they were searching for vandals who sprayed the word “Nazis” on the building and vans of a charitable food bank that has stopped accepting new migrant clients.

Essener Tafel charity leader Jörg Sartor said the slogans, also including “FCK NZI”, that defaced a building door and six vans would not immediately be removed because “everyone should see this”.

Dismayed by the wider controversy, he also told Bild daily he was considering “throwing it in” and resigning from his post.

The charity that serves free meals to the poor had drawn widespread criticism after it declared last week it would from now on demand German identity papers for new clients because a huge migrant influx was displacing locals in need.

Sartor, 61, had claimed that many elderly Germans and single mothers were scared of an increasingly aggressive atmosphere as the number of foreigners using the charity had risen to three-quarters of the total.

Sartor stirred further controversy by saying that some migrant groups shared a “give-me gene” and did not understand Germany’s “queueing culture”.

More than 1.2 million asylum seekers have come to Europe’s biggest economy since 2015 — more than half from war-torn Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan — in a mass wave that sparked a xenophobic backlash.

    ‘Restore balance’

The charity in the city of Essen, like hundreds of similar groups nationwide, collects surplus food that would otherwise be discarded by supermarkets to serve it to the poor.

None of the other more than 900 food banks in Germany publicly said they would replicate the step, with many insisting they would help those in need irrespective of where they came from.

German police and the internal security service, responsible for investigating politically-inspired offences, said they had launched probes into the graffiti spraying which occurred at the weekend.

The far-right and anti-immigration Alternative for Germany (AfD) party launched a social media campaign in defence of the charity entitled “If you fight back, you’re a Nazi”.

The charity “was not founded to deal with the chaos of (Chancellor Angela) Merkel’s refugee policy but to meet the demand that was already there”, it stated on Facebook.

Essener Tafel said last week it had taken the step in order to avoid friction between needy locals and foreigners that could harm acceptance of the newcomers.

The charity had announced the change locally in December and implemented it in mid-January, but it was only widely reported last Thursday, initially by the newspaper Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung.

Sartor told the daily that his charity would maintain the additional demand that new clients show not just proof they receive social welfare but also German identity papers to register themselves “until the balance is restored”.

  32. Report: UK Taxpayer Hands £6 Million a Year to Islamic Charities Working to ‘Damage Our Society’ (breitbart, Feb 26, 2018)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/02/26/report-uk-taxpayer-6-million-year-islamic-charities-damage-society/

“Around £6 million of taxpayers’ money is being handed each year to Islamic charities with extremist tendencies, “whose only goal is to damage our society” in some cases, a report has found.

The report, by The Henry Jackson Society, accuses some taxpayer-supported groups of backing “the spread of harmful non-violent extremist views that are not illegal; by providing platforms, credibility and support to a network of extremists operating in the UK”.

The document, titled Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing: How Islamist Extremists Exploit the UK Charitable Sector, says that the £6 million “is likely the tip of the iceberg”.

The author studied 30 charities and highlights several cases, including one organisation, the Islamic Research Foundation International (IRFI), which is chaired by Zakir Naik, an Islamic fundamentalist hate preacher who was banned from entering Britain by Prime Minister Theresa May when she was Home Secretary.

Another one, Helping Households Under Great Stress (HHUGS), is allegedly “an institutionally problematic charity, with extreme and illiberal individuals involved at all levels”.

It was registered with the Charity Commission in 2006 with the aim of “relieving the financial and emotional hardship of Muslim detainees/former detainees and families”.

The charity holds segregated, men-only fundraising events and invited Ahmad Jibril, a U.S.-based preacher who allegedly inspired one of the London Bridge terrorists, to speak at one of their events in 2013.

The report says that “figures from across the Islamist spectrum, including the Muslim Brotherhood” are active in the charity sector. The Muslim Brotherhood has been linked to the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), the UK’s largest Islamic umbrella group and also a registered charity.

Commenting on her report, Emma Webb, Research Fellow at the Centre for the Response to Radicalisation and Terrorism at The Henry Jackson Society, said:

“At a time of controversy over the size and capabilities of Britain’s Armed Forces and the pressure faced by public services, it is outrageous that millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money is unwittingly being handed over to extremists whose only goal is to damage our society. The £6 million figure is a minimum, with the evidence suggesting that this is only the tip of the iceberg.

“This report illustrates how these charities operate like a cartel, with extremist speakers involved in multiple organisations, presenting themselves as the voice of ‘true’ Islam and squeezing out moderate voices. The charities give them a platform, disseminating their literature and giving them credibility and access.

“Charitable status is not a right, it is a privilege. The public correctly expect that charities should work for society, not against it.

“Action is needed now if we are to stop this network of Islamist extremists from continuing to use charities and taxpayers’ money to fund the spread of divisive, illiberal and intolerant views within our own communities.”

HHUGS told The Times it had a healthy relationship with the Charity Commission. It added: “Hhugs has a risk-assessment policy in place to which all speakers are subjected.”

The IRFI said: “These are historic, unfounded and politically motivated accusations thrown into a speculative report, which are in no way reflective of the inclusive, harmonious nature of our charity.””

I’m betting on the iceberg. Muslims are playing Europe like a fiddle.

    https://www.rt.com/news/419856-narco-state-netherlands-police/

“The Netherlands’ permissive drugs policy has been hailed worldwide, but immigrant-dominated crime gangs are taking advantage to create a “parallel mafia society.” Yet they are not the only ones who created this crisis.

A report by the Dutch police union based on interviews with 400 detectives, released last week, read less like a blueprint for tackling crime, but rather a concession of defeat.

A sample of quotes from interviewees: “In 25 years, I’ve seen small dealers grow to large businessmen with respected investors [and] political connections.” “Five years ago a contract killer would cost €50,000 [US$61,000] now one can be found for €5,000. It’s supply and demand.” “The Netherlands has become a narco state in the past three decades. We do not see what remains invisible, but underground it has been growing.”

The union demands the immediate hire of 2,000 more officers, saying that officers are spending 80 percent of their time responding to crime reports, leaving barely any to investigate “gangs that use infrastructure and facilities paid for by Dutch society to carry out their activities – drug trafficking, prostitution and child abuse.”…”

  34. Turkey deploys special forces to Afrin, Syria in ‘preparation for new fight’ (RT, Feb 26, 2018)
    https://www.rt.com/news/419871-turkey-special-forces-afrin/

“Ankara has sent police special forces units to the northern Syrian region of Afrin in anticipation of a new phase of its campaign against the Kurdish militias. It also says the UN-backed ceasefire does not affect its operation.

The special forces units crossed into Syrian territory from the southern Turkish provinces of Kilis and Hatay, local media reported. The new forces are expected to hold villages taken by Turkish troops from the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) as well as to take part in urban combat as Turkey’s Operation Olive Branch apparently moves from the countryside to the major settlements.

“Deploying special forces is part of the preparation for a new fight that is approaching,” Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag told Turkish NTV. “The fight will shift to places where there are civilians, as the area (of fighting) narrows,” he said, adding that the special forces units have experience in fighting militants in residential areas.

Even though the Turkish operation has entered its sixth week, most of the larger towns in the Kurdish-held enclave, including the city of Afrin itself, remain in the hands of the YPG. Still, Turkish forces drove the Kurdish militias from all areas bordering Turkey, local media report. On February 20, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the troops would lay siege to Afrin “in the coming days.”

Operation Olive Branch will continue despite a UN Security Council resolution envisaging a 30-day nationwide ceasefire in Syria. The resolution, which was unanimously adopted by the security council on Saturday, says that the ceasefire does not apply to Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS), Al-Nusra, or any other terrorist organization…”

“A total of 24 entities, seven vessels and six individuals connected to Libya are facing sanctions from the United States, the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control said in a press release on Monday.

“The US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) today sanctioned six individuals, 24 entities, and seven vessels… for threatening the peace, security, or stability of Libya through the illicit production, refining, brokering, sale, purchase, or export of Libyan oil or for being owned or controlled by designated persons,” the release said.

  36. US Choppers Reportedly Transport Daesh Terrorists to Syrian Training Camp (sputniknews, Feb 26, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201802261062013188-us-choppers-evacuation-daesh/

“A new report by Syrian media about the evacuation of Daesh militants adds to the growing evidence that the US is using its aviation to assist terrorists.

According to the Syrian state-run news agency SANA, the US has evacuated Daesh leaders from the Al-Shaddadah area in the northeastern al-Hasakah Governorate using its helicopters.

The extremists have been transported to Sabah al-Khair, a base located 20 km south of the city of al-Hasakah, which US forces use to train militants, the civilian sources said as cited by SANA.

The sources added that the helicopters dropped off four senior Daesh terrorists, including one holding Belgian nationality.

They also noted that the evacuation occurred amid reports on social media accounts held by terrorists that the militant called “Abu Qasim al-Iraqi” had disappeared along with his wife and a bodyguard as well as a large amount of money.

The reports of US collusion with extremists emerge on a regular basis. On February 21, an anonymous source from al-Hasakah told Sputnik that local residents had witnessed US helicopters landing on the territory of a local prison and then leaving; the source explained that the flights were for the evacuation of radicals.

Earlier in November 2017, reports had emerged saying that “US military aviation” was used to take Daesh commanders from the town of al-Mayadin just before it was recaptured by the Syrian army.

The Russian Defense Ministry has said that the US-led coalition was engaged in the training of former Daesh and Nusra Front terrorists on a base near al-Hasakah in order to create the new militant formation called the “New Syrian Army.””
