For the past five years, since September 2010, Deputy Sheriff of the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Nezar Hamze has been a local leader for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group that was recently named to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government list of international terrorist organizations. However, Hamze’s involvement with a second group that was named to the UAE terror list, Islamic Relief, seems to have gone unnoticed. This piece exposes Hamze’s further participation in the world of radical Islam.
In November 2014, the government of United Arab Emirates published a list of terrorist organizations. A few of the groups mentioned on the list operate within the United States. One of the groups is CAIR.
CAIR was established, in June 1994, as one of four US-based organizations under the leadership of then-global head of Hamas, Mousa Abu Marzook, who was residing in the US at the time. Since CAIR’s founding, a number of representatives for the group have been imprisoned in and/or deported from the US for reasons related to terrorist activity. CAIR itself was named a co-conspirator by the US government for two federal trials dealing with the financing of Hamas.
Nezar Hamze is the Regional Operations Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Florida chapter of CAIR. Previously, he served as CAIR-Florida’s Executive Director. Currently, the Executive Director of CAIR-Florida is Hassan Shibly, an individual who has referred to Hezbollah as “basically a resistance movement” and “absolutely not a terrorist organization” and who, in August 2014, tweeted, “Israel and its supporters are enemies of God.”

The report identifies failures by police and social services, who repeatedly let down victims by not dealing with the abusers until a change of approach in 2014 – when Operation Sanctuary began.
It ultimately resulted in 112 offenders being jailed for a total of almost 500 years. Among them was an 18-strong grooming gang in Newcastle, whose members were found guilty of rape, sexual assault, trafficking and inciting prostitution. Police believe the case involved over 100 victims.
Mr Spicer said that since the Rotherham abuse scandal was exposed in 2011, there had been a change of attitude by agencies and an injection of resources. But he concluded that more needs to be done to defeat the criminals.
He noted: ‘Despite comprehensive action to disrupt and prosecute perpetrators and the publicity that this has attracted, sexual exploitation continues. Perpetrators show remarkable persistence in targeting and grooming victims, undeterred by involvement of the police and other agencies.’…”

The U.S. Cattlemen’s Association is looking to draw a line in the sand and launch what could be the first salvo in a long battle against plant-based foods. Earlier this month, the association filed a 15-page petition with the U.S. Department of Agriculture calling for an official definition for the term “beef,” and more broadly, “meat.”
“While at this time alternative protein sources are not a direct threat to the beef industry, we do see improper labeling of these products as misleading,” said Lia Biondo, the association’s policy and outreach director. “Our goal is to head off the problem before it becomes a larger issue.”

The veggie culture is going to start pushing the vat grown protein and the plant protein to force us to stop eating real meat. They will do this saying they are saving animals but this will result in the slaughter of more stock just as the anti hunting movemnt causes over population of the animals. Once the over population starts the animals eat the grains grown for human consumption driving the price of food higher. Then various diseases set in and entire species of animals are at risk of extinction. I am not joking look at the way the herd increase in Missouri has led to cronic wasting disease in the deer herd.
Hero dog shot protecting teen during home invasion
Police are looking for suspects that shot Rex, a family’s dog that jumped into action when he spotted intruders attempting to break into his home.
A 16-year-old boy says his dog made all the difference when armed intruders busted into his house on Wednesday. It happened just after noon, in the 1400 block of South 234th Street in Des Moines.
Javier Mercado was home alone with his German Shepherd, Rex. He gives his loyal companion all the credit for saving his life.
“I feel like if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here today telling you this story,” said Mercado.
He says around noon, he heard a noise and looked out a window. He saw a car he did not recognize.
“I heard the sliding door break, and it is made out of just glass so it shattered really loud,” said Mercado. “My dog ran downstairs, and it just started barking and barking. I heard one guy scream, ‘the dog bit me, get the dog.'”

This is where the kid knowing how to shut a firearm and having one handy he could use would have made a difference. The fact that the dog saved the kids life and survived the gun shot wounds doesn’t make a difference, the kid needed a firearm and either his family or the law said that wasn’t going to be one avaible.

The two men, identified as 29-year-old Rab Nawaz and 28-year-old Ali Imram, have been accused of making sexual advances toward a young man at the train station and forcing him into an alley where they are said to have raped him, Italian newspaper Il Messaggero reports.
The victim was able to call police following the attack but the Pakistani men fled in a nearby car. Police were eventually able to catch up with the pair of migrants, one of whom is living in the country on an expired residence permit, and arrest them. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital due to injuries suffered during the sex attack.
According to investigators, the victim, who has not been identified or given an exact age, said that the men had approached him and he had tried to leave the station but was followed, pushed into an alley and attacked. He also said that he attempted in vain to fight off the pair….”
Florida governor calls for police officer in every public school
Miami (AFP) – The Republican governor of Florida called Friday for a police officer to be assigned to every public school in the state, and for the minimum age for gun purchases to be raised from 18 to 21 in the wake of the Parkland mass shooting.
“I’m calling for a mandatory law enforcement officer in every public school,” Rick Scott told a news conference, as he unveiled a raft of safety measures in response to last week’s deadly rampage.
Scott said the southern US state “will require all individuals purchasing firearms to be 21 or older,” and intended to make it “virtually impossible” for anyone with “mental issues” to acquire a gun.
Students who survived the February 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have stepped up pressure on the governor to take action to protect their schools, demanding stricter gun control laws.

At Justin Vaughn’s Maryland high school, support for curbing guns runs deep, “and I’m on the ‘wrong’ side,” the 17-year-old says.
So it came as a relief for Vaughn to mingle with like-minded conservative students from across the country at this week’s Conservative Political Action Conference.
“This is like the only place I’ve seen where kids are on my side,” Vaughn said. At his high school, he said, his pro-Second Amendment views are received as, “I’m supporting killers, when I’m really supporting people who want to protect the Constitution.”
The students who survived the Valentine’s Day shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida have captivated the nation — on television, in town halls and in marches and rallies from campuses to state capitals. While they have turned their grief and anger into a powerful political force in support of gun control, and luring their peers in other states to do the same, the young adults speaking up for gun rights at CPAC say they feel increasingly marginalized.

Understandably, as with the Newtown, Conn., elementary school massacre in 2012, the agonized outcries and visceral fears after the outrageous Broward high school deaths on Feb. 14 erupt from parents who entrust their most prized treasures to a public school. The betrayal is horrendous. The suffering unimaginable. And we flail around trying to find answers for the unimaginable, the inexplicable, the unacceptable.
There must be something we can do to prevent such awful events. There is. We could have.

NRA honors FCC chair with rifle for repealing ‘net neutrality’
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The National Rifle Association (NRA) on Friday honored the head of the Federal Communications Commission with a rifle after braving death threats and other opposition as he worked to undo the Obama administration’s 2015 net neutrality rules.
FCC Chairman Ajit Pai was honored at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Oxon Hill, Maryland, by the NRA with the “Charlton Heston Courage Under Fire Award,” an honor named for the late actor who was an NRA president.
The award is a Kentucky long rifle that will stay at the NRA’s museum in Fairfax, Virginia. The NRA was not allowed to bring the weapon on stage, said Carolyn Meadows, an NRA official.
It was not immediately clear why the NRA was not able to present the long gun to the FCC chairman. The FCC, CPAC and the NRA did not immediately respond to questions.
A Reuters reporter at the event said there were no visible prohibitions against weapons at the event but metal detectors were present before President Donald Trump’s address earlier on Friday.

Italy braces for anti-fascist and far-right protests
Rome (AFP) – Italy stepped up security for mass demonstrations by far-right and anti-fascist groups across the country on Saturday as tensions rise ahead of next week’s general election.
There has been a dramatic increase of violent clashes between anti-fascist and far-right activists in recent weeks, particularly after a racially motivated attack on February 3 by a far-right gunman in the central city of Macerata that left six African migrants wounded.
Three thousand police were mobilised in Rome on Saturday for two marches and three “sit-ins” by both left and right groups likely to draw up to 20,000 people.
Former Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi was expected to attend the largest demonstration in Italy’s capital, organised by the National Association of Italian Partisans (ANPI), under the slogan “Fascism Never Again”.
Another anti-fascist protest in Rome, organised by a left-wing union, will rail against the Jobs Act, a flagship reform of Renzi’s government. One of the sit-ins will be hosted by Giorgia Meloni, head of the far-right Brothers of Italy party.

In a bizarre demand, the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference apparently called for attendees of Obama’s speech, which took place inside the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, to keep it a secret.

Hicks told his 11 tenants he would soon place the three homes he owns on the market. He expected disappointment. Instead, most wanted to move with him to Colorado.

For at least the last nine months, the San Francisco metro area has led the nation in the number of residents moving out, according to a survey by online brokerage Redfin.
San Jose real estate agent Sandy Jamison has seen many long-time residents and natives leave the state recently. The lack of available housing, leading to some of the priciest real estate in the country, is driving many from the region, she said.

Local survey shows some surprising views residents of this tony town have of themselves
Those of us who live outside of Palo Alto’s city limits see this peninsula burg as a bastion of the high-income, the smart-as-heck and the real-estate upper crust.
Turns out many residents of the town see themselves otherwise. The Palo Alto Weekly recently asked residents to do a little introspection. The results, and especially the comments people submitted, were surprising. Most Palo Altans see themselves as — hold on to your hat– members of the middle class or even lower class.
As the Weekly points out, Palo Alto’s median household income is $137,043, which is more than twice as much as the U.S. at large, but still not remotely enough to buy a new house there. Median home sale prices reached an all-time high at $2.67 million in 2017.

U.S. imposes more North Korea sanctions, Trump warns of ‘phase two’
WASHINGTON/SEOUL (Reuters) – The United States said on Friday it was imposing its largest package of sanctions to pressure North Korea to give up its nuclear and missile programs, and President Donald Trump warned of a “phase two” that could be “very, very unfortunate for the world” if the steps did not work.
In addressing the Trump administration’s biggest national security challenge, the U.S. Treasury sanctioned one person, 27 companies and 28 ships, according to a statement on the U.S. Treasury Department’s website.
The United States also proposed a list of entities to be blacklisted under separate U.N. sanctions, a move “aimed at shutting down North Korea’s illicit maritime smuggling activities to obtain oil and sell coal.”
North Korea has been developing nuclear-tipped missiles capable of reaching the U.S. mainland and Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un have exchanged taunts that have raised fears of war.
In August, Trump threatened to go beyond sanctions by bringing “fire and fury like the world has never seen,” although his administration has repeatedly said it prefers a diplomatic solution to the crisis.

Trump, Australia’s Turnbull seek common ground on trade, China
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull held talks on Friday at the White House where the two leaders sought to put aside previous tensions, but divisions on trade remained.
Trump pulled the United States out of the original 12-member Trans-Pacific Partnership – which was backed by Turnbull – soon after taking office last year and he repeated his opposition to the deal during a joint press conference on Friday.
“The Trans-Pacific Partnership was not a good deal for us,” Trump said, stressing that he would rejoin a deal that was better for the United States, but prefers bilateral deals over pacts involving many countries.
Trump has argued the trade deal would hurt U.S. workers.
Australia and the other remaining members of the pact published an amended version of the agreement this week and are expected to sign the new deal in March.

In the last 24 hours, two new pieces of information have been reported on the 14 February shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
It’s hard to know what to make of either of them. But at some point, we must assume the bereaved families are going to demand answers.
There’s an important feature of this massacre that may eventually shed some light on things that are raising questions in the immediate aftermath. The killer is alive, and could stand trial. His attorney has reportedly been seeking a plea deal that would take the death penalty off the table, but prosecutors are said to still be deliberating that.
We need not be either bloodthirsty or ghoulish to want a trial in this case. New pieces of information seem to indicate there are significant questions that need answering. And unless there’s a trial, there’s a good chance that they’ll never be sorted out for the public.
One of the things learned late on Thursday is that the security camera system seemed to be set on a delay at the high school. According to the Sun-Sentinel, the delay was an astounding 20 minutes. In other words, the video display on the monitors was delayed from real time by 20 minutes.

The more we learn about the events leading up to the last week’s deadly rampage, in which 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School were shot to death, the more reason we have to be concerned.
We now know, for example, as J.E. Dyer pointed out yesterday, that Scot Peterson, the Broward County Sheriff’s deputy assigned to security at the school but who stood idly by as the killings took place, wasn’t the only derelict member of the force. Three additional deputies arrived at the school and also proceeded to wait outside the building rather than spring into action.
Now comes word of a previous “incident” involving Peterson and Cruz that occurred in 2016 and is mentioned in a social services agency investigation into Nikolas Cruz. Via The Washington Post:

Republican Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced plans to raise the age for purchasing a firearm in his state to 21 years of age Friday, but said there will be “exceptions for active duty and reserve military and spouses, National Guard members and law enforcement.”
“We will require all individuals purchasing firearms to be 21 world are. Let me repeat — we will require all individuals punishing firearms to be 21 or older,” Scott said at a press conference. “There’ll be exceptions for active duty and reserve military and spouses. Republican Senators demanded that former Obama national security advisor Susan Rice answer some tough questions about an email she wrote to herself on the inauguration day for President Trump.

Senators Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) sent Rice a letter on February 5 with several questions about her odd correspondence to herself.
The letter asked why Rice would send herself “such an unusual email purporting to document a conversation involving President Obama and his interactions with the FBI regarding the Trump/Russia investigation.”

The Islamic Central Council of Switzerland (IZRS) has defended the practice of female genital mutilation (FGM), claiming that Islamic law justifies the practice.
The organisation released an “Islamic legal opinion” this week arguing that a form of so-called “female circumcision”, involving the removal of parts of the genitals, is justified, Swiss newspaper Tages Anzeiger reports.
IZRS Secretary-General Ferah Uluca said that while the paper justifies the practice, it does not call on Muslims to perform it as a duty. Ulucay said it is up to each parent to decide, but the paper does claim the practice is not harmful to the girl involved.

An Afghan who threatened to commit a vehicular terror attack which targeted “white people” because he was frustrated waiting for his refugee status has been spared jail.
Ruzykhan Sayadi, 23, was sentenced to a community order for 18 months, rehabilitation activity for 20 days, and a curfew on Thursday, after being found guilty in late January of racially aggravated intentional harassment and causing alarm or distress, the Oxford Mail reports.
Oxford Crown Court heard that the Afghan had gone to the Citizens Advice Bureau to ask for help because of debt he had accrued when he told an advisor on August 21st, 2017, that he had grown frustrated with waiting to be granted asylum and made threats to commit a vehicular and/or knife attack akin to the Westminster and London Bridge terror attacks.

Two Pakistani migrants were arrested in the Italian city of Brindisi this week after being accused of raping a boy who was waiting for a train at the city’s railway station.
The two men, identified as 29-year-old Rab Nawaz and 28-year-old Ali Imram, have been accused of making sexual advances toward a young man at the train station and forcing him into an alley where they are said to have raped him, Italian newspaper Il Messaggero reports.
The victim was able to call police following the attack but the Pakistani men fled in a nearby car. Police were eventually able to catch up with the pair of migrants, one of whom is living in the country on an expired residence permit, and arrest them. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital due to injuries suffered during the sex attack.

Yesterday evening, around 9.30 pm, the Federal Police was called to an extraordinary operation at Neumünster railway station. Train crews had seen two men in the track, one of them had lit up with a flashlight, the second had prayed right next to the track. The railway track in question was closed for 30 minutes. When asked to leave the danger zone, the Muslims said that they were not yet ready to pray. Shortly afterwards, the men moved away. Based on the description of the persons, the federal police officers employed were also able to identify the men in question. They admitted that they had gone to the track area to pray because it was too bright on the platform. After establishing their identity, which was a 20-year-old Kosovar and a 17-year-old Macedonian, the two men were informed of the danger to life they had gone to. They received an ad. Two trains were cancelled and two more trains were delayed.

Several people who were detained by police concerning the plot to disrupt Carnival 2018 met at the Nur E Islam mosque in Aranguez, San Juan, yesterday to discuss the issue and air their views on it.
