    • This video and ignores certain realities and the Crouching Tiger videos probably will also ignore them, or the man making the videos doesn’t know them.

If you owe someone $10,000 and can’t pay you have a problem. If you owe someone $10,000,000 and can’t pay they have a problem.

If the US stops paying the interest on our debt to China their economy will collapse.

Trump knows these facts, we simply pay the interest, threaten to stop and threaten to stop importing. China changes its tune for a while.

Will there be war? Maybe, China needs to expand to get goods that can be sold or machines to build goods that can be sold. As has been mentioned on the blog many times the Chinese economy is weak, much weaker then anyone wants to admit. The war will cause the Chinese economy to collapse so the possibility of war depends on how desperate China gets. Just before they collapse.

    • This video ignores the fact that the jobs were moved to first Japan, then Korea, then China and are now moving to India and Nam because of increased labor costs. When the cost of labor raises to the point that the company can’t make a large enough profit to pay dividends to its stockholders (the owners) it has to 1) cut the labor force 2) shut down or 3) move the factory to a location with lower costs. Moving to another nation means the labor has to be low enough to pay for the shipping costs back to the States.

We are seeing this played out on a smaller scale in every state that is raising their minimum wage, this is driving the companies to either move to a different state or shift to robot labor.

FYI: the increase in labor and shipping costs is driving companies back to the States opening the factories in right to work states and using more robot labor.

The labor cost problem (2/3rds of the cost of running any business is labor and benefits) that is driving us to robots is also creating a permament class of unemployed who are dependent on the government. This may be the goal of the Dems who want a voting base that are dependent on them for money.

    • The whole series is based on the idea that if we fight we will fight a limited war like Korea or Nam. They ignore the fact that the limited war ends up lasting longer, causes more causalities and leaves the problem that caused the war intact. This attitude is what makes war likely a war that will grow to include every nation on earth and will have to be fought to a clear victory if we want to survive as free people.

  1. UN expresses alarm over extrajudicial killings following Benghazi bombings (middleeasteye, Jan 25, 2018)
    http://www.middleeasteye.net/news/un-expresses-alarm-over-extrajudicial-killings-following-benghazi-bombings-1496709460

“The United Nations Libya mission said it was alarmed by reports of “brutal and outrageous summary executions” in the eastern city of Benghazi on Wednesday, after pictures emerged appearing to show at least nine people being shot dead at the site of a twin car bombing.

The UN Libya mission, UNSMIL, suggested in a tweet that the gunman was Mahmoud al-Werfalli, a special forces commander wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for allegedly carrying out a number of similar killings.

“(The UN) demands the handing over of Mahmoud al-Werfalli immediately to (the ICC) as it documented at least 5 similar cases, in 2017 alone, carried out or ordered by al-Werfalli,” UNSMIL said on its Twitter account.

“Those responsible for committing or ordering summary executions are criminally liable under international law.”

  2. US to take back heavy weapons sent to YPG: Official (hurriyetdailynews, Jan 25, 2018)
    http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/us-to-take-back-heavy-weapons-sent-to-ypg-official-126259

“The United States reiterated its commitment to Turkey that it will take back heavy weapons it delivered to the People’s Protection Units (YPG) but refrained to give a certain time frame during high-level bilateral political and military talks in the Turkish capital Ankara on Jan. 23 and 24.

“We did tell them that we do intend to fulfill that commitment. But I can’t give you a specific time frame,” a senior U.S. official told the Hürriyet Daily News on Jan. 24 about the U.S. promises over the weapons given to the YPG. The official also informed that only heavy weapons delivered to the YPG would be collected.

But the official reiterated the U.S.’s well-known position that they will continue to cooperate with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an umbrella group mainly consisting of YPG militants, to ensure that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) will be fully cleared from Syria.

Ties between Turkey and the U.S. have strained over a number of issues, but the latter’s military support to the YPG pitted the two long-standing allies against each other. Turkey considers the YPG as an offshoot of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and, therefore, as terrorist. The U.S., however, regards the group as the most efficient ground force in the fight against ISIL and has supplied it with heavy weapons…”

According to MailOnline, Qari Javed Akhtar, 58, an imam at Manchester’s Central Mosque, married a woman named Sairish Ashraf, 23, six months ago.

Sairish’s brother accused Akhtar of befriending the family, marrying his younger sister without their consent and running off with her last month.

  5. ‘Italy first’? Right-wing politician vows to kick out 100k migrants per year if elected PM (RT, Jan 25, 2018)
    https://www.rt.com/news/416918-italy-first-salvini-migrants/

“The head of Italy’s ultra-nationalist Lega Nord party has promised to clean up the “mess” and kick hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants out of the country if he is elected prime minister in the upcoming general election.

The 2018 Italian general election is due to take place on March 4, after the country’s Parliament was dissolved by President Sergio Mattarella in late December. The leader of Italy’s traditional far-right ‘Lega Nord’ party hopes that his ‘Italians first’ slogan will sway enough voters to land him in office. Salvini is betting on Italians’ anti-migrant sentiments to bring him to power as part of a center-right alliance led by Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia (Go Italy!).

“In Italy, there are too many illegal immigrants who go around making a mess, I cannot take it anymore,” Salvini told the host of Dimartedì political talk show that aired on La7 news channel. “There are those who use the aircraft to bring immigrants to Italy. I would use them to bring them back home.”

To tackle the record number of migrants arriving on Italy’s shores from North Africa, Salvini, in a separate interview with la Repubblica, promised his electorate he would deport 100,000 illegal migrants each year of his potential five-year premiership. By the end of his time in office, Salvini pledges to expel 500,000 illegal migrants out of more than 600,000 refugees who arrived in Italy over the past four years.

Salvini vowed to protect the interests of the Italian people and the country’s constitution, blaming his political opponents for “betraying” their people and selling off Italian companies to foreign multinationals. “The revision of the European treaties is expected in the center-right program,” he noted, adding that principles of the “constitution come before those of Brussels and Berlin.”

“I have a duty to change those rules because my country comes first,” he stated. Salvini is an ardent supporter of Donald Trump’s ‘America First’ policy and hopes that his party can ride the wave of anti-migrant discontent to eventually steer Italian politics in the new direction…”

  6. Four in Ten Parents Say Children Are Worried About Terrorism, 13 Per Cent Put off Public Transport (breitbart, Jan 25, 2018)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/01/25/four-ten-parents-say-children-worried-terrorism-13-per-cent-put-off-public-transport/

“A new study conducted for NGO the Mental Health Foundation has found a large proportion of parents reported their children were anxious and worried about world events, with terrorism representing the greatest concern among the youngest people in Britain.
In the study, conducted by YouGov for the Mental health Foundation, 41 per cent of parents reported that their children were “anxious about the threat of terrorism”.

In changes of attitude which were recognised as indicative of a child becoming more concerned, 61 per cent of parents surveyed said their children had started to ask “a lot more questions” about world events, and 24 per cent of children had sought the reassurance of their parents about events.

Perhaps most tellingly, 13 per cent of parents reported their children had started to ask them to avoid going on public transport and to crowded public spaces — locations associated with mass-casualty terror attacks…”

    • “Perhaps most tellingly, 13 per cent of parents reported their children had started to ask them to avoid going on public transport and to crowded public spaces — locations associated with mass-casualty terror attacks.”

And here we have yet another pristine example of the, “Hidden Jihad”.

Avoiding public transportation means using less energy efficient means of transportation. Cost considerations aside, there is extra environmental damage caused by increased use of personal transportation (i.e., private automobiles).

Anyone want to bet that the Liberal environmentalists will be howling about this jihadist-driven migration of people back into single (or dual) occupancy vehicles?

      [crickets]

PS: Long ago, I noted the intense irony of how America’s military involvement in the Middle East has consumed all of the money needed to research alternative fuels like synthetic gasoline or a full conversion over to electric vehicles.

Instead, Islamic jihad has drained off all of these finances with very little (if anything) to show for the endless blood and treasure that has been squandered.

If Muslims weren’t so exceptionally stupid (in almost all instances), I would be willing to claim that there was some sort of conspiracy going on. Instead, it’s just one more intersection of American shortsightedness and congenital Islamic chaos.

  7. Germany Suspends Arms Deliveries to Turkey Over Afrin Operation – Reports (sputniknews, Jan 25, 2018)

“German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel has expressed the country’s concern over Ankara’s ongoing operation in Afrin and revealed the decision to halt sypplying Turkey with German-built Leopard tanks, according to Spiegel.

German government’s spokesperson confirmed the report by Spiegel which stated that German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel reached an agreement that only a possible new government formed by a coalition of the Christian Democrats (CDU) and and Social Democrats (SPD) should decide on any arms deliveries to Turkey.

“Concerning the current discussions about arms exports, the Federal Government is clear about the fact that Germany can not send arms in conflict areas and is not going to do so,” Gabriel told Spiegel.

Suspending of arms deliveries to Turkey is believed to be a move aimed at easing tension in German society, as images of German Leopard tanks being used by the Turkish army in its offensive in Syria are making the German public feel increasingly uncomfortable…”

“The Turkish military and Kurdish representatives have been sharing conflicting reports concerning the situation in Afrin.

The Syrian Kurdish militia told Sputnik that they captured 16 Turkish soldiers during fighting in Afrin, where Ankara and allied Free Syrian Army rebels have been conducting an operation since January 20.

“The militiamen lost four people,” the spokesman for the Kurdish Self-Defense Forces YPG added.

He also noted the reduction in the number of Turkish airstrikes in the area.

On Wednesday, Turkish and Kurdish representatives shared conflicting reports on casualties on the fifth day of the Afrin operation. 9. ‘Too White’: Norway’s New Government Grilled for ‘Lack of Diversity’ (sputniknews, Jan 25, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201801251061054207-norway-government-diversity/

“Among the 68 ministers and secretaries in Norway’s new government, only two appear to be of minority background, despite one in six Norwegians currently being of immigrant background. This overwhelming “whiteness” has triggered fierce criticism from human rights activists.

Numerous human rights organizations and critics, including the Norwegian Center Against Racism, have slammed Prime Minister Erna Solberg’s newly-formed cabinet for failing to “reflect the population.”

Rune Berglund Steen, who is the head of the NGO, went so far as to say that the “lack of diversity” represented a “democratic problem.”

“Even Trump’s government has more people with ethnic minority backgrounds than the Norwegian government,” Steen told national broadcaster NRK, venturing that those in power must reflect the general population and suggesting that a failure to do so constituted a severe problem.

??Steen stated that diversity in politics was “healthy” and that people with minority backgrounds clearly contributed to a more inclusive policy.

“This is the most overwhelmingly white government in Europe right now. It is hair-raising that they somehow failed to find a single minister and several secretaries with multicultural backgrounds in 2018,” political commentator Arne Strand told NRK, venturing that it sent a signal as if the government did not care about integration in practice, again drawing parallels with Trump’s government, which has several “multicultural representatives.”

The Trump comparison also sprung up in a comment by Knut Arild Hareide, the leader of the Christian Democratic Party (KrF).

“We need to show who the real Norway is in 2018. We should do better than Trump,” Hareide told NRK.

Of the 68 ministers and secretaries featured in Solberg’s second government, only state secretary Anne Karin Olli, who is of indigenous Sami heritage, and German-born Rebekka Borsch apparently meet the “diversity criteria.”

“I am disappointed with the composition of the government. It is important for minorities to be represented, including amongst those who lead the country. This is connected to identity and confidence in the system,” Sylo Taraku of Norwegian think-tank Agenda told NRK, suggesting that this sends an “unfortunate signal.”

ducation and Integration Minister Jan Tore Sanner has waved off the criticism as unjustified.

“Many things must be taken into consideration when a new government is formed. The most important is the policies that are pursued, regardless of which background one has,” Sanner told NRK.

According to Statistics Norway, Norway, a nation of around 5.2 million, has over 880,000 people whose parents are foreign-born. Of them, Asians and Arabs constitute the largest groups at 4.3 percent of the population, followed by East Europeans (above all Poles) at 3.2 percent. By contrast, people of African descent constitute 1.5 percent of the Norwegian population.”

    • Why don’t the antiracists see the insanity of their new religion?

Antiracism is supposed to create a colorblind society, but the exact opposite occurs. The more diverse the population, the more race conscious it becomes. Everything must be divvied up on the basis of race. We must have equal outcomes according to race. Nothing can be decided or accomplished without factoring in race. It becomes all about race, race, race, race, race and then more race.

Even if you eliminate the tendency of all races to work for their own interests, you cannot have a colorblind society if you believe equally is defined by equal outcomes on the basis of race and gender.

One of the best definitions of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The only way to stop the madness is a total separation of the races.

    • “Among the 68 ministers and secretaries in Norway’s new government, only two appear to be of minority background, despite one in six Norwegians currently being of immigrant background. This overwhelming “whiteness” has triggered fierce criticism from human rights activists.”

Exactly how many of those “one in six (‘minority background’) Norwegians” have successfully assimilated? Answer that question and, perhaps, there will be a better account regarding just how many “minorities” should be holding high government office.

  10. Hannity: DOJ has started recovering missing FBI texts, DOJ sources say

Fox News’ Sean Hannity said Wednesday night on “Hannity” that the Justice Department has started recovering some of the missing texts between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, citing DOJ sources.

Federal law enforcement officials had notified congressional committees that a technical glitch affected thousands of FBI cellphones between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017. This meant that 5 months’ worth of texts would be missing from Strzok and Page, both of whom are under scrutiny after it was revealed that the former members of special counsel Robert Mueller’s team exchanged anti-Trump texts during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Hannity said sources at the DOJ told him they have begun to recover some of the texts from that time period. Specific content from those texts has not been released.

The missing messages have caused problems for the Justice Department inspector general’s office.

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/byron-york-hide-the-ball-on-capitol-hill-growing-frustration-with-fbi-secrecy/article/2646980

Republicans in both House and Senate are growing increasingly frustrated with the Federal Bureau of Intelligence and Justice Department over tight restrictions on classified and other confidential information in the Trump-Russia affair.

The restrictions mean the FBI and Justice Department control what congressional investigators may see; under what conditions they may see it; and what they may make public. The practical result is that voters remain in the dark about hugely consequential events going on in Washington.

  12. Questlove and NBC Accused of Racial Discrimination by Two White Ex-Employees

Two former of employees of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” claim they were fired at the behest of Questlove and they feel they were targeted because they were white.

According to a lawsuit obtained by The Blast, Kurt Decker and Michael Cimino were working on the show as camera operators on June 19, 2017 when they received “an unsolicited racist and misogynist text message from a Tonight Show stagehand.”

They claim a third person, Mark Kelley — a bassist for The Roots — also received the message. Kelley is African-American.

Decker and Cimino claim they did not respond to the message and later reported it to Keith McPhee (a manager of The Roots) and Bryon King, a technical production manager at NBC.

The two men claim there were both immediately suspended, but Kelley was not.

A seven-week investigation ensued and, they claim, Questlove “pressured NBC to fire all of the Caucasian employees involved in the incident.”

  13. Powerful opioids are easily sold through the Internet and shipped in the mail, investigation finds
Updated 5:08 AM; Posted Jan 24, 4:03 PM

WASHINGTON — Synthetic opioids such as addictive and deadly fentanyl, fueling a drug epidemic, can be easily ordered online and shipped through the mail to United States addresses from China, a congressional investigation found.

The investigation under Sens. Rob Portman of Ohio and Tom Carper of Delaware pins blame on the U.S. Postal Service and State Department. The agencies have rebuffed requests to require electronic shipping information with names and addresses of senders and receivers of international parcels, the senators said. Portman, an Ohio Republican, chairs the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, and Carper, of Delaware, is the panel’s top Democrat.

The government agencies have cited logistical and foreign relations reasons for not policing international parcels the way Portman wants. Using the new investigation, Portman will demand answers again at a hearing Thursday morning.

  14. The next generation of smartphone cameras could see through walls

The latest camera research is shifting from increasing the number of megapixels towards fusing data with computational processing

You may be pleased with the camera technology in your latest smartphone, which can recognise your face and take slow-mo video in ultra-high definition, but these technological feats are just the start of a larger revolution.

The latest camera research is shifting away from increasing the number of megapixels towards fusing camera data with computational processing. By that, we don’t mean the Photoshop style of processing where effects and filters are added to a picture, but rather a radical new approach where the incoming data may not actually look like at an image at all. It only becomes an image after a series of computational steps that often involve complex mathematics and modelling how light travels through the scene or the camera.

This additional layer of processing magically frees us from the chains of conventional imaging techniques. One day we may not even need cameras in the conventional sense any more. Instead we will use light detectors that only a few years ago we would never have considered any use for imaging. And they will be able to do incredible things, like see through fog, inside the human body and even behind walls.

  15. French prison guards block over 125 prisons, risk sanctions

ARIS (AP) — French prison authorities warned Wednesday that protesting prison guards were risking fines or sanctions on the movement’s 10th day, with actions at 129 prisons.

Guards seeking improved working conditions and better safety measures set up picket lines or blocked prison entrances. Guards at 16 prisons “put down their keys” — meaning they refused all work — a move which triggers a demand for police and gendarmes to do the guards’ job, a Prison Administration official said.

The official, confirming French press reports, said that letters sent to prison directors laid out possible financial or disciplinary sanctions against protesting personnel, including job suspensions of five to 15 days. The official was not authorized to speak publicly and could not be identified by name.

The official said sanctions were not automatic and could be handed out but then “suspended” and would be decided on a case-by-case basis.

  16. With more Islamic schooling, Erdogan aims to reshape Turkey

Turkey’s president has said he wants to create a “pious generation” to change the nation. So the government is pouring money into schools that teach Islamic values.

    By DAREN BUTLER

    Filed Jan. 25, 2018, 11 a.m. GMT

On a hill overlooking Istanbul is a religious school where, 50 years ago, a boy from a working class district attended classes in Islam. The boy was Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s future president. The school was one of the first Imam Hatip schools, founded by the state to educate young men to be imams and preachers.

At the start of the 2017-2018 academic year in September, Erdogan returned to his old school, now renamed the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Anatolian Imam Hatip upper school after an $11 million redevelopment. He recalled the “tough days” of his childhood and the spirit in the school that drove its students to success.

“The joint goal of all education and our teaching system is to bring up good people with respect for their history, culture and values,” Erdogan told flag-waving children at a ceremony to mark the reopening of the school.

Two clinicians who examined Assange renew calls for him to be given safe passage to hospital

Julian Assange’s long stay in the Ecuadorian embassy in London is having a “dangerous” impact on his physical and mental health, according to clinicians who carried out the most recent assessments of him.

The pair renewed calls for the WikiLeaks publisher to be granted safe passage to a London hospital.

Sondra Crosby, a doctor and associate professor at the Boston University’s school of medicine and public health, and Brock Chisholm, a London-based consultant clinical psychologist, examined Assange for 20 hours over three days in October.

In an article for the Guardian, they wrote: “While the results of the evaluation are protected by doctor-patient confidentiality, it is our professional opinion that his continued confinement is dangerous physically and mentally to him and a clear infringement of his human right to healthcare.”

Although the two did not go into details, Assange’s health appears to be deteriorating significantly after more than five years holed up in the embassy.

  18. North Korea sends rare announcement to all Koreans, calls for unification

SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korea sent a rare announcement addressed to “all Koreans at home and abroad” on Thursday, saying they should make a “breakthrough” for unification without the help of other countries, its state media said.

It said all Koreans should “promote contact, travel, cooperation between North and South Korea” while adding Pyongyang will “smash” all challenges against reunification of the Korean peninsula.

The announcement, issued after a joint meeting of government and political parties, added Koreans should wage an energetic drive to defuse the acute military tension and create a peaceful climate on the Korean peninsula.

Military tension on the Korean peninsula was a “fundamental obstacle” for the improvement of inter-Korean relations and unification, the North’s official news agency said.

It added joint military drills with “outside forces” has shown to be unhelpful for the development of relations between North and South Korea.

North Korea did not provide details why the meeting had been held but the statement said it was aimed to support leader Kim Jong Un’s remarks regarding unification from his New Year’s address. It said this year is meaningful for both North and South Korea as it is the 70th anniversary of the founding of North Korea while South Korea will be hosting the Winter Olympics next month

The comments came during a photo op with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, ahead of their closed-door meeting at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The meeting lasted nearly an hour.

  23. CHICAGO — The U.S. Justice Department sent letters to Chicago and other sanctuary cities on Wednesday threatening to withhold federal grants.

The 23 jurisdictions sent letters include Chicago and the State of Illinois.

  24. Hezbollah agents ‘run drugs on London streets’ (standard, Jan 25, 2018)
    https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/hezbollah-agents-run-drugs-on-london-streets-a3749136.html

“An American counter-terrorism expert has accused supporters of Lebanese group Hezbollah of “engaging in criminal conduct” in the capital, ahead of a new parliamentary attempt to ban the organisation in its entirety.

Dr Matthew Levitt, director of the counter-terrorism programme at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, said that “London has a Hezbollah problem” and the current partial British ban was not working.

He said the result was that Hezbollah was carrying out illegal activities here — including drug running and fundraising for military campaigns — as well as undermining British interests abroad.

The warning, in a guest post published by the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation at King’s College London, came ahead of a parliamentary debate today on whether the existing curbs on Hezbollah should be tightened.

At the moment, British law bans Hezbollah’s terrorist and military wings, but permits its political wing, despite the US banning the organisation in its entirety and Hezbollah’s promotion of armed resistance against Israel.

The partial ban means that Hezbollah flags are flown on London’s streets during the annual Al Quds march.

Dr Levitt states in his article: “London has a Hezbollah problem. Hezbollah continues to engage in terrorist and criminal activities — within the UK and the EU more broadly — despite the partial ban…”

  25. Egypt slams McCain criticism of el-Sissi’s ‘backwards’ Egypt (abcnews, Jan 25, 2018)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/egypt-slams-mccain-criticism-el-sissis-backwards-egypt-52603615

“Egypt’s Foreign Ministry has expressed its “absolute rejection” of a statement by U.S. Sen. John McCain criticizing the country’s crackdown on human rights and democracy under President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi.

Thursday’s statement came on the seventh anniversary of the Jan. 25, 2011 popular uprising that toppled Egypt’s longtime autocrat Hosni Mubarak, ushering in years of instability punctuated by military and Islamist rule, and el-Sissi’s rise to power.

The ministry says McCain’s remarks “included unfounded accusations, fallacies, and misinformation,” and “flimsy claims.”

McCain’s comments a day earlier say that “over the past few years, we have witnessed Egypt lurch dangerously backwards. President el-Sissi’s unprecedented crackdown on political activism and fundamental human rights has led to the imprisonment of tens of thousands of dissidents, including 19 American citizens and nearly 3,500 young people.””

  26. Kellogg Community College has agreed to revise its free speech policies and pay $55,000 in damages to settle a lawsuit filed by two students who were arrested by campus police for handing out pocket Constitutions on campus.
The students were told they could not engage in free expression on the public college’s campus because the school had not yet recognized their YAL chapter, and they had not received approval to “solicit.”

  28. Germany: Return of the Stasi Police State?

    by Judith Bergman
    January 25, 2018 at 5:00 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11789/germany-police-state

Germany’s new censorship law, which has introduced state censorship on social media platforms, came into effect on October 1, 2017. The new law requires social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, to censor their users on behalf of the German state. Social media companies are obliged to delete or block any online “criminal offenses” such as libel, slander, defamation or incitement, within 24 hours of receipt of a user complaint — regardless of whether the content is accurate or not. Social media companies are permitted seven days for more complicated cases. If they fail to do so, the German government can fine them up to 50 million euros for failing to comply with the law.

The new censorship law, however, was not fully enforced until January 1, 2018, in order to give the social media platforms time to prepare for their new role as the privatized thought police of the German state. Social media platforms now have the power to shape the form of current political and cultural discourse by deciding who will speak and what they will say.

On January 1, 2018, however, the law was immediately enforced. Twitter began by suspending the account of the deputy leader of the Alternative for Germany party (AfD), Beatrix von Storch, for 12 hours, after she tweeted the following in response to a New Year’s greeting issued in Arabic by the Cologne Police:

  31. OK, this has to be the most disgusting documentary I have ever seen, short of a beheading video. I couldn’t even watch the whole thing. After the dog fight I just kept wondering what it is that our political leaders don’t get?
How does anyone expect someone from this culture to assimilate into our culture because importing this kind of barbarity and perversion cannot possibly improve our societies.
So, here it is, watch at your own risk.

    • To be anally fucked at an age of 12-18 years old is “like love but painful” really has to be the sickest thing I have ever heard.

So, I have now descended into this toxic waste of another culture. I wish to climb back out into the very bright light of the children I have had in the west.

    • I posted online links to this (i.e., bacha bazi – “boy play”) some TEN YEARS AGO. Most revolting of all is that US military elements seem to be concealing these well-established Muslim practices as part of collaborating with Aghani forces.

This erosion of American moral authority is totally unacceptable.

    • Pakistan’s Hidden Shame (Full Documentary) – Real Stories

In towns and cities across Pakistan, tens of thousands of vulnerable young boys have become the victims of paedophile predators who seem to have nothing to fear from the law. It’s an open secret that few acknowledge publicly and even fewer want to do anything about.

In a society where women are hidden from view and young girls deemed untouchable, the bus stations, truck stops and alleyways have become the hunting ground for perverted men to prey on the innocent. In one survey alone, 95% of truck drivers admitted having sex with boys was their favourite entertainment. At the main bus terminal in Peshawar, a makeshift hostel for drivers passing through is set up every evening with around twenty beds lying side by side. Some are occupied by men, some by boys, and some by both. Most boys have been procured by hostel owners like Hassan Deen: “When a kid is wandering the streets alone, we lure him in by telling him we’ll give him some food and a place to stay. Then we pass them on to the drivers.” In return for a pittance, the men can have sex with as many boys as they desire.

Pedestrians stroll by as though nothing is amiss and police say they’re too busy fighting terrorists to have time for the children. Forever damaged and with no hope, many of the boys turn to drugs to numb the pain and sorrow.

One of the boys we feature is 13-year-old Naeem. Having been gang-raped by four men when he was just 10, Naeem is now a child prostitute and abuser of younger boys himself. As he says: “Sometimes I wish I’d never been born.”

“It’s one of the most sad and shameful aspects of our society. I have to say I’m totally embarrassed by this” Imran Khan, world-famous cricketer and leading Pakistani Politician.

  32. Turkey: Targeting Kurds In Syria
    Making Turkey Feel Imperial Again

In Turkey these days, there is every sign of collective hysteria in a once glorious nation that fell from grace, then longed for power and grandeur for nearly a century. Turks are dizzy with joy over their army’s incursion into Afrin, a Kurdish enclave in neighboring Syria.

It is almost a sin not to join the celebrations: “We are witnessing the lynching of anyone who dares to speak against it. Opposing the operation has become a death wish,” Nevsin Mengu, a prominent Turkish journalist, wrote in Sigma Turkey, an independent news outlet.

“Operation Olive Branch,” the ironic code name the Turkish military has chosen for its incursion into northern Syria, has catered well to the Turkish psyche that craves shows of force of every possible flavor. Headlines in the national press since the launch of Operation Olive Branch speak for that psyche:

  33. Mexico’s drug cartels, now hooked on fuel, cripple the country’s refineries

Drug gangs pressure refinery workers to tap the lifeblood of Mexico’s oil industry. One former worker fled the country. One former gang member helps authorities understand the racket.

    By GABRIEL STARGARDTER

Filed Jan. 24, 2018, noon GMT

SALAMANCA, Mexico—The first call, from someone claiming to belong to the Michoacán Family drug cartel, came in February 2015.

“They said they knew who I was and where I lived,” said Alberto Arredondo, who got the call at work as a pump technician at an oil refinery in the central Mexican city of Salamanca. “They wanted information.”

    At first, Arredondo hung up.

“But they were insistent,” he said, calling back and demanding details of when fuels would be pumped and through which pipelines.

Over the next two years, Arredondo said, he would be hounded, kidnapped, pistol-whipped and stabbed so severely that surgeons removed his gall bladder. In December 2016, he fled to Canada, where he now seeks asylum from gangs that steal fuel from Salamanca and five other refineries operated by Pemex, the state-owned oil company.

He also said that Berlin, together with Paris, urges the sides to “stop further escalation” of hostilities in the region “to facilitate humanitarian access [to the area] and to protect civilians,” calling it the issue of “highest priority.”…”

    • The PA dictator cursed PT – and his bloodline! – Jan. 14. The outrageous Nazi screed washed right over me. It took about a week before the expert Arabists’ analyses became available, and seeing such poison directed at our Potus gave me sick chills.

Prayer circles started for him and his family right away. Observant Jews (who learned of The Curse first), then Christians. Others, maybe more honestly superstitious, have been collecting talismans against the Evil Eye.

I don’t think the Devil has that kind of power. However large and vocal his constituency. That obviously includes John McCain and John Kerry (and maybe Me-again Kelly).

In Davos the President said he deliberately avoided reading details about the speech – couldn’t possibly be helpful. But he wasn’t on automatic pilot, time for a reality check. Why throw hundreds of millions MORE dollars at hateful, intransigent foes?
