Sessions has to retire as a public servant: Dobbs
It was a wise decision to recuse himself. Had he not done so, the full dishonest MSM would be screaming ‘Cover-up’.
Because he recused himself, the truth is now coming out and nobody can holler ‘Cover-up’.
And don’t forget: Sessions opened up a secondary investigation which is very effective. Sessions is a very smart guy.
Also, there are currently over 9 000 (no, no pun or exaggeration) sealed indictments. A retired FBI dude whose name now eludes me said that looks like a huge human trafficking op is about to take place.
Trump named January 2018 (again, not proper wording, am paraphrasing) the anti-human traficking and anti-slavery month.
Coincidence? I think not.
Sessions has been one busy man. Taking down MS13 (used as executioners by the DMC and Clintons), busting more people and CHILD traffickers in 2017 than any year before. And as he will follow up on child trafficking, leftist elites will be taken down in the most deserving manner.
I understand where both sides on this are coming from, we will have to wait and see which sidei is right. I personally think there is a lot of truth on both sides.

Aid group projects 48,000 births in crowded Rohingya camps (abcnews, Jan 5, 2018)
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/aid-group-projects-48000-births-crowded-rohingya-camps-52143608
“An aid agency projects 48,000 babies will be born this year in the refugee camps for Rohingya Muslims who have fled to Bangladesh after military operations against them in Myanmar.
The babies will probably be born in tents in unsanitary conditions and will be at increased risk of disease and malnutrition, and of dying before age 5, Save the Children warned in its report Friday.
“The camps have poor sanitation and are a breeding ground for diseases like diphtheria, measles and cholera, to which newborn babies are particularly vulnerable,” said Rachael Cummings, the agency’s health adviser in Cox’s Bazar, the nearest city to the camps. “This is no place for a child to be born.”…”
“The babies will probably be born in tents in unsanitary conditions and will be at increased risk of disease and malnutrition, and of dying before age 5, Save the Children warned in its report Friday.”
After all the torments that Muslims have inflicted upon our world, exactly how is this bit of whiny-@ssed news supposed to elicit any sympathy?
Give me one good reason and I might even try to squeeze out a tear. Maybe…
But don’t count on it.

Erdogan’s tensions with predecessor erupt into open feud (france24, Jan 5, 2018)
http://www.france24.com/en/20180105-erdogans-tensions-with-predecessor-erupt-open-feud
“A long simmering feud between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his predecessor and one-time comrade Abdullah Gul has erupted into an acrimonious public row, raising questions about the former head of state’s future political intentions.
Gul and Erdogan co-founded the ruling Islamic-rooted Justice and Development Party (AKP) that dominated Turkish politics since 2002, with Gul serving as premier, foreign minister and then president from 2007-2014.
Since leaving office, Gul kept a guarded silence as Erdogan moved to expand the powers of the presidency as rumours swirled the former president was alarmed over Turkey’s course and bitterly resented being excluded from the ruling party.
Gul was said to be particularly unhappy over an April referendum Erdogan called — and narrowly won — to expand the powers of the presidency.
But an emergency decree issued last month which says civilians would not face legal action over any behaviour in thwarting the 2016 coup sparked fears of mob rule and a rare intervention from Gul.
Gul labelled the decree “worrisome in terms of the understanding of the rule of law” and risked “developments in the future that would upset us all.”
Erdogan, without naming Gul, spat back those worried about the decree were no different from people who turned down the constitutional changes in the April referendum.
– ‘Express my opinion’ –
Abdulkadir Selvi, pro-Erdogan columnist in the Hurriyet newspaper, added fuel to the flames saying talk was growing that Gul could emerge as a presidential candidate of the Turkish opposition to challenge Erdogan in 2019 elections.
He said that Erdogan had already “seen the plot” and the row over the immunity decree was “only tip of an iceberg”.
Gul then hit back at criticism from “some MPs and trolls”, saying that they “exceeded the limits of morality.”
“As a person who believes in freedom of thought and expression, one of the founding principles of our party, I will continue to express my opinion on occasions I deem necessary.”
The nationalist Aydinlik newspaper added that Gul had been engaged in “election traffic” with an intensive travel schedule that included trips to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Britain as well as keeping in close touch with ex-premier Ahmet Davutoglu who was ousted in 2016.
– ‘A little bit braver’ –
Analysts say that the current row represented a new step by Gul, a hugely prudent figure who has so far kept any criticism of his former ally deeply private.
But it would also be premature to assume Gul was throwing down a gauntlet to Erdogan ahead of the 2019 elections that could ultimately result in a ballot box showdown.
“Despite the rifts that emerged between the two from time to time, they have never been rivals,” pollster Adil Gur, who runs A&G Research, told AFP.
“I believe Gul will not run as candidate and even if he does, I don’t think he will have any chance,” Gur said.
The dispute likely first erupted in May-June 2013 when Erdogan refused any compromise faced with unprecedented anti-government protests whereas Gul advocated a more conciliatory approach.
The referendum appears to have been a breaking point, with Gul reportedly refusing to back the presidential system plan in a tense hours-long meeting with Erdogan ahead of the poll.
Gareth Jenkins, Istanbul-based non-resident senior research fellow at the Silk Road Studies Program, said Gul’s best chance of returning to frontline politics would be within the AKP in the event of an anti-Erdogan rebellion in the party.
He said that to mount any serious challenge Gul would have to regain the trust of Erdogan opponents lost due to his prolonged silence on key issues and reluctance for public confrontation.
“He would have to make a lot of sacrifices and prepared to take risks before anybody takes him seriously as an opponent,” Jenkins said.
But he acknowledged that nonetheless Gul was “a little bit braver” in the last week compared with the past.”
Security Guards Hired During Holiday Season Due To Uptick In City Crime
Baltimore City has passed the 300-homicide mark for the third year in a row, from 2015-2017, and business owners are taking matters into their own hands.
Business owners in Fells Point say the crime is out of control and is scaring customers away, so they’ve hired private security officers to patrol the streets.
Last year, 343 people were murder in the city. The violent spike in crime also found its way to the downtown and Inner Harbor areas.
The small business community has vowed to stop the bloodshed and keep residents and visitors safe. The Downtown Partnership shelled out a staggering $30,000 during the holiday season for extra security.
The money came from business owners and retailers who paid for more than a dozen private officers, who roamed downtown Baltimore for about two weeks, including the Inner Harbor for the New Year’s fireworks show.

If the City Government doesn’t wise up and stop driving the good cops away private security in the inner cities will be a growth industry. Especially if the left turns their various militias loose to riot, loot and burn.

Sessions Reverses Obama-era Policy on Marijuana, Rescinding States’ Sovereignty

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is reversing an Obama-era policy on marijuana.
In a one page statement issued by the attorney general Thursday, Sessions called the policy unnecessary and said it is rescinded effective immediately.
The rollback allows the federal government to choose how strictly they want to crack down on the drug in states where its legal.

Despite what the left wants us to think it is the job of Congress to change the laws! It is illegal/unconstitutional for the Executive Branch (President, DOJ) to change the laws. For that matter it is illegal/unconstitutional for the Judicial Branch to write laws the way they have been doing since the 1950s.
Going back to the first, Trump and Sessions are trying to take us back to the rule of law, the left is continuing with their assault on the rule of law and the Constitution. We are in a war of survival with the left and Islam, we have to win both wars for freedom to survive.
This isn’t 2009: Iranians’ 9-point demand for referendum on Islamic Republic
By J.E. Dyer January 5, 2018
A number of knowledgeable experts have been weighing in to emphasize that the uprising in Iran is not like the one in 2009.
There are plenty of reasons for this, starting with the point that in 2009, there was a specific catalyst for the protests: a national election whose results looked suspicious. In the last three days of December 2017, there was no such catalyst. There was only the burning sense among the people that too much is wrong, from repression and lack of freedom to mistreatment by the radical regime, and its obsession with squandering the nation’s resources on foreign wars.
I’ve mentioned a couple of times already that this is a widespread and broad-based uprising. Michael Ledeen deals with that point at PJ Media this week:
https://libertyunyielding.com/2018/01/05/isnt-2009-iranians-9-point-demand-referendum-islamic-republic/
The Iranian Regime’s Days May Be Numbered
Is it a revolution? Can it succeed? Should we support it, and if so, how?
Surely this tumult is very different from the protests of 2009. It’s different in at least two ways, geographical and demographical.
Geographically, whereas the 2009 protests were mainly limited to Tehran, today’s phenomenon covers the whole country, from major cities to smaller towns and even rural villages. That’s significant, because those who do not believe in the prospects of an Iranian revolution invariably argue that opposition to the regime is restricted to the elites of the big cities, and that rural populations are pro-regime. It’s difficult to judge how many rural residents are protesting, but it’s a significant number. That’s new, and I believe it surprised both the regime and the leaders of the uprising.
The demographic difference is class: the 2009 demonstrators were Tehrani bourgeoisie (bazaaris, for example). Today’s masses are proletarians: workers, unemployed, failing farmers and the like. Notice that trade unionists are being arrested in Tehran, because the tyrants fear they are the real organizers of the uprising, and because workers and the unemployed are not as easy to intimidate as professors and businessmen.
https://pjmedia.com/michaelledeen/iranian-regimes-days-may-numbered/
What are the nine key demands of Iranian protesters?
As protests across Iran look to surpass the one-week mark, demonstrators in at least 70 cities have begun formulating their demands as posters and list of their wishes began to spread both on the ground and on social media.
This follows seven days of constant protests in major cities that have left 21 people dead and as Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have deployed forces to three provinces to put down an eruption of anti-government unrest, their commander said on Wednesday.
While the slogan of “bread, freedom and work” remains the overall theme of protests, one list appeared to showed nine specific demands:
1) A referendum on founding the future regime, as most of the demonstrators called for a republican system similar to the developed countries and the overthrowing of the rule of of the Faqih.
2) Undermining the ideology of the Faqih regime and the liberation of Iranian society from the illusion of leadership of the Shiite world and its incursion into the Islamic world and eliminate the slogan of exporting the revolution.
3) Abolishing the forced veil and endorsing the principle of women’s free choice of appearance and clothing.
4) Freedom of the media, including free access to information, the Internet, social networks and the abolition of censorship.
5) Separating religion from politics and removing religious institutions and estates from politics and handing the administration of state affairs over to a government of technocrats.
6) An independent, just and impartial judiciary that is not subjected to any authority, power or political current.
7) Equal distribution of wealth and development plans to eradicate poverty, unemployment and deprivation.
8) Free, fair and transparent elections under international supervision.
9) Equality between women and men and the rejecting all forms of discrimination, violence and abuse against women in all fields.

The counter revolution is still active and its chances are getting better, as in the US the Iranian fly over country provides most of the military. In the US fly over country is the area that supports President Trump, in Iran (in this counter revolution) the population of fly over country are (at least partially) supporting the counter revolution. This is very important, the military will hesitate to fire groups their relatives are supporting or even being in the targeted group.
We still have to wait but things are looking better. If/when this counter revolution succeeds we and the secular groups in Iran/Persia need to start talking about the past glories of the Persian Empire and start trying to distance Iran/Persia from Islam. This will be a slow project but it may work.
Another – and a little uglier – dimension to this movement are the signals coming from Arab-majority areas.
They consider the current regime ‘Persian occupation’ and are chafing under it.
Some in these Arab (and Sunni) areas are demonstrating with pictures of Saddam Hussein and vowing to avenge his death.
So, not so sunny with the Arab Sunnis…
No it isn’t sunny for them. We are limited in what we know is happening in Iran but we do know that many small groups are joining together to fight for their freedom.
If Jimmy Carter had left the Pahlavi family in charge of Iran it would be a much freer nation and we would probably see a much more moderate form of Islam in that nation. Now all we can do is support the counter revolution in spirit, and wait to see what the end result will be. With luck this will remove one of the two major flash points for a nuclear exchange.

Richard: 1) read the full article.
2) This is a sign that the far left (which controls the Dems) is moving to a more violent stage in their coup. The 2018 election stands a good chance of being more violent then the 2016 election. Lets play a little what if, what if Hillary, Huma and others are indicted for various crimes this summer. What will Ellison and the other Dems who are supporting antifa do? What will Soros and the people funding antifa do? The closer to an indictment Hillary and company comes the better chance people will start talking to avoid prison. This includes info on Soros and company about crimes they may have committed. So far there is no evidence that they have done more the provide money but we all know some or all of them have ordered a lot of the violence.
Classified info Comey leaked to get special counsel appointed: Still no answers for Senate
By J.E. Dyer January 4, 2018
It never ends. The Washington Times reported Wednesday that Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) had to go to a SCIF to review the memos leaked to a friend by former FBI Director James Comey in 2017, because the FBI said the classified memos could only be viewed in such a secure environment.
A SCIF is a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility – and it is interesting that the FBI insisted on one, given what else we are told about the memos. Technically, a SCIF is only necessary for such viewings when the most highly classified information is involved. None of the memos is reportedly marked with such a high level of classification. In the ordinary course of things, an official like Grassley should have been able to peruse them without actually making a special trip to a SCIF.
But that, we are told, is what the FBI required.
https://libertyunyielding.com/2018/01/04/classified-info-comey-leaked-get-special-counsel-appointed-still-no-answers-senate/
Richard: When were they classified?
Was there classified info in the memos Comey leaked?
If highly classified info was leaked why isn’t Comey in custody?
Are the higher ups at the FBI trying to help Comey or to hurt him?

Yemen’s rebels say they fired missile at Saudi military camp (abcnews, Jan 5, 2018)

“Yemen’s Shiite rebels at war with a Saudi-led coalition said they fired a ballistic missile Friday targeting a military camp in the southwestern Saudi city of Najran, but the kingdom said its air defenses intercepted the projectile.
The rebel announcement, carried by the rebel-run Al-Masirah TV, said it had conducted a “successful” firing of a short-range ballistic missile and that it hit its target in Saudi Arabia with “high accuracy.” The rebel officials, cited by Al-Masirah, did not provide more details on the missile.
The Saudi-led coalition, meanwhile, said in a statement carried by the kingdom’s official news agency SPA that it had “intercepted and destroyed” the missile…”

Protests greet Erdogan on first France visit since crackdown (abcnews, Jan 5, 2018)
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/press-freedom-agenda-erdogan-meets-macron-paris-52157498
“Protests over press freedom and the deteriorating state of human rights in Turkey greeted Turkish President Recep Tayyip as he arrived in Paris on Friday for talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.
The trip is Erdogan’s first to France since his government strongly cracked down on suspected opponents following a failed coup in July 2016. About 50,000 people have been arrested and 110,000 others removed from public sector jobs in Turkey.
About 30 activists from watchdog group Reporters without Borders held images of jailed journalists outside the Turkish Embassy. A dozen demonstrators, mainly ethnic Kurds, later tried to reach the presidential Elysee palace, but police pushed them back onto a side street.
The French Communist Party and several left-wing parties have criticized Erdogan’s visit to France, which came the day before the fifth anniversary of the slayings in Paris of three Kurdish women activists.
“The French judicial system had pointed out Turkish secret services’ involvement in this crime,” the Communist Party said in a statement.
Macron is expected to raise the issue of media freedom with Erdogan. The two leaders also are set to discuss Turkey’s relationship with the European Union, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the war in Syria.”

The Latest: IS supports Iranian anti-government protests (abcnews, Jan 5, 2018)
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/latest-iran-cleric-blames-social-media-protests-52157689
“The Islamic State group has declared support for the anti-government protests in Iran.
In its latest weekly publication, Al Nabaa, the extremists describe the protests as a “revolution against the regime” and an uprising against Wilayat al-Faqih, or Iran’s system of governance by clerics.
Friday’s statement also says the messages sent through the protesters to their rulers are “highly important” and that they should continue.
The Islamic State group is a Sunni extremist organization that views those who subscribe to other religions and sects, including Shiite Islam, as apostates.
IS claimed responsibility for a rare attack in Tehran in June that killed 17 people at the parliament and the mausoleum of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.”
I will bet the protesters hate this announcement.

Last of Libya’s chemical weapons components destroyed (abcnews, Jan 5, 2018)
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/libyas-chemical-weapons-components-destroyed-52160127
“Germany says it has completed the destruction of components from the chemicals weapons program of deposed Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi.
The international community had feared the 500 tons of chemicals could fall into the hands of extremist groups or rogue states after Gadhafi was deposed in 2011 and the country fell into chaos.
Germany’s Foreign and Defense Ministries said Friday that the chemicals were destroyed “successfully and in an environmentally sustainable manner” by a state-owned specialist firm, GEKA, which is based in Munster, south of Hamburg.
Libya made a formal request to the U.N.-backed Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons last year for international assistance to have the chemical weapons removed.
The cost of destroying the chemicals was shared by Germany and the United States.”
Pakistan expresses disappointment at US aid cutoff (abcnews, Jan 5, 2018)
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/pakistan-senator-disappointed-us-suspending-military-aid-52156714
“A senior Pakistani senator expressed disappointment Friday at the U.S. decision to suspend military aid, saying it will be detrimental to bilateral relations, while the government itself said it was too early to gauge the effects of the decision.
Nuzhat Sadiq, the chairwoman of the foreign affairs committee in the upper house of parliament, said Islamabad can manage without the United States as it did in the 1990s, but would prefer to move the troubled relationship forward.
“What the U.S. is doing now is not good for its policy against terrorism and for a lasting peace in this region,” she said, adding that Pakistan has always “played a vital role in the war on terror.”
The State Department’s declaration on Thursday lambasted Pakistan for failing to take “decisive action” against Taliban militants targeting U.S. personnel in neighboring Afghanistan. U.S. officials have long complained that Pakistan tolerates or even encourages extremists, charges denied by Islamabad.
A statement issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry nearly 24 hours after the announced suspension of military aid said it’s too early to tell what impact the U.S. decision will have on counter-terrorism initiatives in the region. But it said the war on terror, which is entering its 17th year, has cost Pakistan over $120 billion.
The statement said Pakistan’s cooperation had helped “decimate” al-Qaida and drive other militant groups out of the lawless regions along the border.
Pakistan has recently begun constructing dozens of security posts along the border with Afghanistan as well as a fence to curtail cross-border movement. Afghanistan, which does not recognize the international border between the two countries, has objected to those moves.
The Foreign Ministry statement blamed Afghanistan for much of the unrest, saying it should accelerate efforts to repatriate the more than 1 million Afghan refugees in Pakistan and curb the runaway opium production that finances the Taliban and other armed groups.
Mohammed Amir Rana, director of the independent Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies, said that both Pakistan and the United States “need to realistically review their relationship and scale down expectation of each other.”
“Pakistan cannot put all its eggs in the China basket,” he added, referring to the billions of dollars China is investing in Pakistan on a major transportation and power grid.
Rana said the U.S. needs Pakistan if it wants to find a peaceful end to decades of turmoil, and if it wants to navigate the changing circumstances in neighboring Iran, which has seen anti-government protests in recent days.
The U.S. mission in Afghanistan is heavily reliant on supply corridors that run through Pakistan.
Dozens of Pakistanis meanwhile took part in protests against the United States in a number of cities. In some places, the protesters set fire to portraits of President Donald Trump, but there were no reports of violence.”
US owes Pakistan $9 billion in reimbursements from the war on terror, says defense minister
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) held a consultative meeting on Thursday to discuss the country’s response to recent criticisms by US officials, including President Donald Trump.
“Everyone needs to be united on the issue since it is a matter of the country’s survival,” said National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq while chairing the PCNS meeting, which was briefed by Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif and Defense Minister Khurram Dastagir.
National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed and key opposition leaders also attended the meeting.
Opposition leader Syed Khursheed Shah demanded that all defense institutions and representatives of the Finance Ministry should participate in the follow-up session that will be held next week.
“We cannot make decisions based on emotions. The next session should review the military and financial situation of the country,” Shah said, adding that the situation needed careful examination before the country could frame a measured response.
Briefing the media after the meeting, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said US pressure has regional implications and Pakistan needs to weigh its options.
“We have to look at the situation in the Middle East, at relations between the US and Iran, and the border that Pakistan shares with Iran,” he said.
“We have to consider these things as they are part of the larger picture upon which our response must be formulated.”
Meanwhile, Dastagir said the US owes Pakistan $9 billion in reimbursements from the war on terror.
Trump harshly criticized Pakistan on Twitter on the first day of 2018, accusing it of taking billions from the US and giving “nothing but lies & deceit.”
He said Pakistan is playing a double game by sheltering terrorists that the US is trying to eliminate in Afghanistan.
His tweet came a few days after a media report that Pakistan’s intelligence had denied US officials access to a terrorist linked to the Haqqani network, who was apprehended during the rescue operation of an American-Canadian family in October 2017.
The Trump administration has intensified its criticism of Pakistan since a court in November released Hafiz Saeed, who is accused of the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
The US is offering $10 million to anyone who can provide information that leads to his arrest and prosecution.
The Trump administration warned on Tuesday it could withhold $255 million in assistance to Pakistan.
Harris Nawaz, a defense analyst and retired army officer, said the US is scapegoating Pakistan to cover up its own failures in Afghanistan.
“They failed to bring peace and stability in the war-ravaged country. Forty-six percent of Afghan territory is under Taliban control, and they continue to embarrass the Pentagon and the State Department through a string of attacks,” Nawaz told Arab News.
“The US couldn’t satisfactorily train Afghan troops despite spending a great deal of money, and they feel stranded in Afghanistan due to their own wrong policies,” he said.
“Another reason for US coercion is to derail the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project, which is vital for Pakistan to achieve economic prosperity.”
The US is not sympathetic to Pakistan because “it’s a Muslim, nuclear-armed state that’s acquiring economic strength and gradually coming out of the clutches of the IMF (International Monetary Fund) and the World Bank,” Nawaz added.
China came to Islamabad’s defense on Tuesday, its Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang saying: “Pakistan has made tremendous efforts and sacrifices in combating terrorism, and made outstanding contributions to the international anti-terrorism cause. The international community should fully acknowledge it.”

USA: US cuts security assistance to Pakistan, demands ‘decisive action’ against terrorists
This puts Pakistan in the position of hunting a new patron, Saudi is ovr extended in their fight with Iran’s proxy’s. China is in bad shape and is already spending to build the new port facilities and the long rail line to Europe. Russia is over extended right now and is not in a position to help Pakistan. Russia will do what it can to get in good with a Chinese ally and try to woe them away from China. China will do what it can to help Pakistan to keep them on their side against India and if necessary Russia. Saudi will do what they can to secure their access to nukes in case Iran doesn’t implode.
China is starting to feel the economic pressure and is ordering Kim to slowly change his attitude. I don’t know if they will get him to give up his nukes and nuclear program (although they may try to talk us into letting them take control of the nukes and the missiles.) but they will get him to dial down the pressure for a while.
I don’t know the time table they are working to but ours probably reaches the end some time in April.

US designates al-Shabab deputy leader as ‘global terrorist’ (abcnews, Jan 5, 2018)
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/us-designates-al-shabab-deputy-leader-global-terrorist-52157241
“The United States government has designated the deputy leader of the Somalia-based al-Shabab extremist group a “global terrorist.”
A State Department statement says the designation of Abukar Ali Adan blocks any assets of his that are subject to U.S. jurisdiction and prohibits U.S. citizens from making any transactions with him.
The al-Qaida-linked al-Shabab is the deadliest Islamic extremist group in Africa. It has been blamed for the October truck bombing in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, that killed 512 people.
Little is publicly known about the reclusive Ali Adan. The U.S. has designated al-Shabab as a foreign terrorist organization, and the Trump administration early last year approved expanded military efforts against the group. More than 30 U.S. drone strikes were carried out against al-Shabab last year.”
Location of hundreds of Brits who fled to join terror groups is ‘currently unknown’ (express, Jan 5, 2018)
https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/900624/hundreds-jihadi-brits-location-currently-unknown-isis-terror-syria-iraq
“THE whereabouts of hundreds of Britons who travelled to the Middle East to support or fight for jihadist groups is unknown, the security minister has admitted.
Around half of the estimated 850 people from the UK who went to Syria and Iraq have returned home, but Ben Wallace said the Government “don’t know where” those still in the region are.
He denied that the authorities had “lost track” of the suspected terrorists.
He told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “They went into a very hard part of Syria to reach into the Euphrates valley and then were dispersed from there.
“What we do know is about half have come back to the United Kingdom of the original 850-odd that went out of concern.
“About 15 per cent to 20 per cent we think have died out there either in military action, and at the moment we are seeing in dribs and drabs some of them coming into Turkey, maybe some of them trying to get back to us here.
“But there’s a significant number that at the moment it is hard to actually tie down exactly where they are.””

CNN – Feds investigating Clinton Foundation
Clinton Foundation is a ‘political slush fund’, Varney says
From what was said on FOX this morning they never really stopped. Obama like the Clintons had things set up so the police and the intel people have trouble talking to each other. Obama also had the various FBI offices out of contact with each other, they said that at one point there were 5 seperate investigations into Hillary and her foundation and not all of them stopped when Comey decided that he wasn’t going to let her go to prison.
If this is true no telling how long it will be before all of them are finished, her election funding crimes took place in all states and each one is a separate crime and would require a separate investigation.

MEMRI TV – Jihad against Jews Our Only Option
In a November 3 Friday sermon, Dr. Subhi Al-Yazji, a lecturer in the Islamic University of Gaza, said that Britain was a “criminal country, a country of killing and bloodshed, just like the Jews,” and that if there was an Arab force, “these countries [Britain and France] would be brought before a tribunal along with their leaders, and they would be sentenced to death.” Dr. Al-Yazji, who is a member of the Palestine Ulema Association, also said that “the only way the Jews will leave our land is through holy Jihad.” The sermon was posted on the YouTube account of the Palestine Ulema Association in Gaza.

Czech President: Rise of Muslims led to a significant increase in crime and violence in Europe
In an interview with a Prague TV station, Czech president Miloš Zeman, warned about the dangers of immigration and Islam.
https://www.barrandov.tv/video/116541-tyden-s-prezidentem-4-1-2018
Zeman said, that the migration from African and Middle Eastern countries poses a serious threat for European culture. He wants the European Union to take action immediately:
“If the European Union does not reach the courage to strengthen its external borders, for which it constantly chatters but does nothing, we will have 10 million refugees (from Africa) in the course of the (coming) year… The culture of these refugees is not compatible with European culture, which is what immigrants themselves understand.”
According to Zeman, the rise of Muslims in European countries has led to “a significant increase in crime and an increase in the level of violence in the closed Muslim communities”.
Zeman has been criticising migration and especially Islam for a long time. In earlier interviews he said:
“If you want the unspoken truth, Islamic migration is not possible to integrate, and it is not capable of being assimilated into European culture.”
And:
“I think we can coexist with Buddhism, Hinduism, Shinto, Confucianism, but we cannot coexist with Islam. It has anchored in its sacred texts that it must rule the world and have unbelievers submit.”
Bookmakers see Zeman as a favourite to win the upcoming presidential elections, which will start next week. If elected, it would be his second term as president of the Czech Republic.

Muslim group asks Trudeau to designate Jan. 29 day of remembrance for Quebec City mosque shooting
OTTAWA—One of Canada’s most prominent Muslim groups is asking Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to designate the anniversary of the 2017 Quebec City mosque shooting as an official day of remembrance.
The National Council of Canadian Muslims wants Trudeau to endorse Jan. 29 as a national day of remembrance and action on Islamophobia.
In a letter to the prime minister released today, executive director Ihsaan Gardee says such a designation would help enhance public education about hate, bigotry and Islamophobia.
Last January, six Muslim men were shot and killed and 19 others were wounded in an attack on the mosque during prayers. Alexandre Bissonnette of Quebec City is to stand trial in March on six charges each of first-degree murder and attempted murder.
Gardee says Canadian Muslim communities are still feeling the aftershocks of the attack.
He says the call for a day of remembrance is supported by dozens of other Canadian Muslim groups and community partners.
Elected leaders like Trudeau need to work to ensure that such a tragedy is not repeated, Gardee writes.
“We must not allow voices of hate, even ones that initially appear to be on the margins, to permeate our public discourse and damage our social fabric.”

the daily caller – ‘The Gorilla Channel’ — Fake News Brigade Falls For Hilarious Spoof Of Michael Wolff’s Trump Book
Liberals fell for a parody excerpt of Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury” book that claimed Trump was angry he couldn’t find “The Gorilla Channel” on the White House cable package.
Pixelated Boat, a comedy Twitter account with over 100k followers, wrote a hilarious parody of Wolff’s book on Friday. The fake passage said Trump thought the TV in his bedroom was broken because it didn’t have “the gorilla channel,” so aides strung together a number of gorilla documentaries and broadcast it as a fake cable channel for the president.

Despite the passage being obviously fake — especially when it claims that Trump watches “the gorilla channel” for up to 17 hours a day — a decent number of verified liberals fell for the joke.

Arizona:
State Supreme Court requires warrant to track cars with GPS
By: Howard Fischer, Capitol Media Services January 3, 2018 , 12:50 pm
Police cannot put a GPS device onto a vehicle to track its movements without first getting a warrant, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled Wednesday.
In a precedent-setting decision, a majority of the justices said people in vehicles have a “reasonable expectation” of privacy. That includes being able to travel where they want without government monitoring.
And while people drive on public roads, Chief Justice Scott Bales said that is quite different than using technology to track someone, in this case for 31 hours.

TEL AVIV — The U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which ministers to so-called Palestinian refugees, would not comment when asked by Breitbart Jerusalem to provide the total number of Palestinian “refugees” that UNRWA services in Lebanon.
This after Lebanon’s census data recently placed the number of Palestinian “refugees” living in the country at about one third of the nearly 500,000 reported by UNRWA.
UNRWA runs camps and projects for so-called Palestinian refugees in the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. On its website UNRWA claims “5.1 million refugees” are “covered by our protection mandate,” purportedly including about 500,000 in Lebanon.

zero hedge – Devin Nunes Demands Remaining 9,500 Strzok Text Messages, Expands Investigation Of Russia Probe
Representative Devin Nunes (R-Ca), chair of the House Intelligence Committee, is expanding his committee’s investigation into the FBI and DOJ’s handling of an ongoing probe into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, according to a letter sent yesterday to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
According to the letter, Rosenstein has finally agreed to comply with a subpoena issued by the House Intelligence Committee last August and produce fully unredacted records of conversations that could shed light on accusations the FBI pursued the investigation in a partisan and unfair manner.
As agreed, designated Committee investigators and staff will be provided access to all remaining investigative documents, in unredacted form, for review at DOJ on Friday, January 5, 2018. The documents to be reviewed will include all FBI Form FD-I 023s and all remaining FBI Form FD-302s responsive to the Committee’s August 24, 2017 subpoenas. The only agreed-upon exception pertains to a single FD-302, which, due to national security interests, will be shown separately by Director Wray to myself and my senior investigators during the week of January 8,
2018.
You further confirmed that there are no other extant investigative documents that relate to the Committee’s investigations into (a) Russian involvement in the 2016 Presidential election or (b) DOJ/FBI’s related actions during this time period. This includes FD-302s, FD-1023s, and any other investigatory documents germane to the Committee’s investigations, regardless of form and/or title. If, somehow, “new” or “other” responsive documents are discovered, as discussed, you will notify me immediately and allow my senior investigators to review them shortly thereafter.
Moreover, Nunes has demanded an all-star lineup of witness interviews for the month of January, including FBI Supervisory Special Agent Peter Strzok and his mistress FBI Attorney Lisa Page, which should provide hours of entertainment.
With respect to the witness interviews requested by the Committee, you have agreed that all such witnesses – namely, former DOJ Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr; FBI Supervisory Special Agent Peter Strzok; former FBI General Counsel James Baker; FBI Attorney Lisa Page; FBI Attorney Sally Moyer; FBI Assistant Director Greg Brower; FBI Assistant Director Bill Priestap; and FBI Special Agent James Rybicki – will be made available for interviews to be conducted in January.
Lastly, as to the remaining approximately 9,500 text messages between FBI Supervisory Special Agent Peter Strzok and his mistress, FBI Attorney Lisa Page, it is my understanding based on your representations that another search is being conducted and all relevant messages will be provided. Accordingly, the Committee requests production of these messages by no later than close of business, Thursday, January 11, 2018. Similarly, I understand that your office is researching records related to the details of an April 2017 meeting between DOJ Attorney Andrew Weissman (now the senior attorney for Special Counsel Robert Mueller) and the media, which will also be provided to this Committee by close of business on Thursday, January 11, 2018.
[…]The letter is the second in an escalating effort by the House Intelligence Committee to unearth information pertaining to allegations that the Russia probe was spearheaded by anti-Trump elements in the FBI and was mishandled at various junctures.[…]

GOP senators request criminal investigation of Trump dossier author
Two Republican senators are asking the Department of Justice to open a criminal investigation into Christopher Steele, the author of a controversial opposition research dossier on President Trump.
Sens. Chuck Grassley (Iowa) and Lindsey Graham (S.C.) sent a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray asking that they investigate if the former British intelligence agent lied to federal authorities.
“I don’t take lightly making a referral for criminal investigation. But, as I would with any credible evidence of a crime unearthed in the course of our investigations, I feel obliged to pass that information along to the Justice Department for appropriate review,” Grassley said in a statement.
Graham added that “after reviewing how Mr. Steele conducted himself in distributing information contained in the dossier and how many stop signs the DOJ ignored in its use of the dossier, I believe that a special counsel needs to review this matter.”

City Of Berkeley Losing Police Officers In Droves. Guess Why.City Of Berkeley Losing Police Officers In Droves. Guess Why.
Guess what? The city of Berkeley, California, where the police department doesn’t have a gang task force, drug task force, special investigations unit, canine officer, DARE officer, vehicle dash camera or taser, is losing officers by the bundle. In 2017, 26 members of the force quit.
In 1999, there were 215 cops on the beat; that number may soon diminish to less than 140. Meanwhile the city’s population has grown from 108,000 to 121,000.
As Blue Lives Matter notes, “In 2016, Berkeley cops responded to 78,000 incidents, conducted over 3,200 arrests, issued 5,600 citations and reported only 32 uses of force … in 2006, Youth Services was staffed with 3 School Resource Officers, 3 Youth Services Detectives, 1 Youth Services Sergeant, and 1 citizen Youth Counselor – 8 people working on the problems and the concerns regarding our Berkeley youth. Now, that same unit operates with only two Detectives.”

EU must end ‘hypocrisy’ of allowing Turkey to become a full member, says Emmanuel Macron (telegraph, Jan 5, 2018)
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/01/05/eu-must-end-hypocrisy-letting-turkey-think-can-become-full-member/
“The prospect of Turkey joining the European Union as a fully-fledged member is “hypocrisy”, according to President Emmanuel Macron of France, who added that progress on the application was not possible given human rights concerns.
Mr Macron’s remarks came during a tense press conference with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as the French leader warned against flouting the rule of law and freedom of expression while his counterpart accused some writers and journalists of acting as “the gardeners” of terrorism.
During the exchange, the authoritarian Turkish leader, who ordered the arrest of up 55,000 security force members, judges, academics, journalists and activists in the wake of the 2016 failed coup, said his country was “exhausted” after 54 years in the “antichambre” of the EU.
“When it comes to saying why, the EU is not really capable of giving reasons,” he claimed, adding that Turkey is currently blocked on 35 “chapters”, or policy areas, of the negotiations.
“This is seriously exhausting us and seriously exhausting our nation. Maybe this will force us to take a decision,” he said, without specifying what that might be. Mr Erdogan said in October that Turkey no longer needs to join the European Union but added that “we will not be the side which gives up” on accession talks.
But Mr Macron said that political developments in Turkey were effectively blocking its EU accession bid…”
