  1. Germany Charges Alleged Islamic State Member (breitbart, Dec 27, 2017)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/12/27/germany-charges-alleged-islamic-state-member/

“German prosecutors have charged an alleged member of the Islamic State group who spent time in Syria with membership in a terrorist organization and committing a war crime.

Federal prosecutors said Wednesday that the 32-year-old German citizen, identified only as Abdelkarim E. B. in line with local privacy rules, left Germany for Syria in 2013 and joined IS. They said he received weapons training and fought for the group.

Prosecutors say that, during fighting near Aleppo in November 2013, the man’s unit beat and kicked a captured fighter from an enemy militia and threatened him with torture. The suspect is also accused of filming the scene.

The man is already in custody in a separate case, which prosecutors gave no details of.”

  2. <strong<Tunisia: 'Assad is a terrorist'- Erdogan rejects Syrian Pres. during visit to Tunis

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reaffirmed his stance against Bashar al-Assad as Syrian President during a state visit at the Carthage presidential palace in Tunis on Wednesday, describing the Syrian President as a “terrorist.”

Erdogan said: “I clearly want to say Assad is a terrorist who leads state terror. There is no peace in Syria now and won’t be with Assad. Otherwise we would have an unfairness on the people who are killed. We can not recognise this situation as Turkey.”

Upon arrival, Erdogan was greeted by the Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi and a guard of honour by the countries’ military.

The Turkish President was speaking during a one-day visit designed to strengthen bilateral ties with Tunisia.

  3. American Isis fighter says ‘war on Islam’ has made US more vulnerable to attack in video message to Donald Trump (independent, Dec 27, 2017)
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/isis-attacks-new-york-us-african-american-fighter-donald-trump-message-war-islam-vulnerable-a8130671.html

“Isis has claimed Donald Trump’s “war against Islam” is making the US more vulnerable to terror attacks while calling for further atrocities.

In a propaganda video released on Wednesday, an African-American Isis fighter using the war name Abu Salih al-Amriki delivered a message to the President.

“You entered into the White House on the back of your Crusader rhetoric, which the fake media has pressured you to tone down,” he said.

“Your feelings and hatred towards Islam has already been revealed…you are now witnessing your fake victory.

“Your war against Islam has only made your homeland more vulnerable and your society is cracking into chaos.”

The American Isis fighter, whose true identity was not immediately known, was shown attaching a prosthetic leg and walking on crutches amid the ruins of buildings that appear to have been hit by air strikes.

Wearing battle fatigues and carrying a pistol, he repeated calls for Isis supporters to “rise and strike the kuffar [disbelievers]” and claimed the Isis flag would be “raised over the White House”.

The propaganda message suggested that rising Islamophobia and terror attacks in the US could help drive supporters to Isis’ cause, with the fighter saying: “Take advantage of the fact you can easily obtain a rifle or a pistol in America and spray the kuffar with bullets so that their fear of Muslims rises, and they continue to reveal their hatred towards Islam for the ummah [community] to rise.”

Isis has continually sought to exploit political tensions across the West to fuel its narrative of a holy war between its supporters and anyone, including Muslims, who oppose its brutal interpretation of Sharia law.

The group’s message to Mr Trump came as activists told The Independent American Muslims were more vulnerable to Islamophobia under Mr Trump’s presidency than in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

“It’s not just Americans Muslims [who feel anxious],” said Ibrahim Hooper, a founder of the Council On American-Islamic Relations. “We have seen white supremacists emboldened under Trump.”

Expects have warned of the danger of “reciprocal radicalisation”, where Islamists and far-right extremists feed off each other to boost their own popularity.

The President has been heavily criticised for what critics labelled a “Muslim ban” on travel from selected countries, as well as his wider remarks on Islam and alleged failure to confront white supremacism.

Isis’ latest video, released via its’ main propaganda channels, included footage of the aftermath of terror attacks including those in Las Vegas and Orlando, which were both claimed by the group.

Isis also claimed responsibility for a vehicle attack that killed eight people in Manhattan on Halloween, but remained silent over a failed suicide bombing in New York’s subway system earlier this month.

Investigators said the suspect, Akayed Ullah, had been radicalised by materials including Isis propaganda from 2014 onwards and had watched a video instructing supporters unable to travel to the group’s territories to carry out attacks at home.

Shortly before the blast on 11 December, he posted a statement on Facebook reading “Trump you failed to protect your nation”, as well as a declaration that the attack was carried out in the name of Isis…”

  4. Migrant FRAUDS who lied to get asylum in the UK can stay here, judges rule (express, Dec 27, 2017)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/897152/migrants-frauds-asylum-kosovo-albania-UK-immigration

“PHONEY refugees could be allowed to stay in Britain even if they commit serious crimes following a landmark court case which is set to cost taxpayers £1million.

The shock ruling was delivered in a case involving two Albanians who pretended to be persecuted Kosovans to get the right to live in the UK.

Both men used false details to obtain citizenship and one was later jailed for a pub attack.

When their deception was discovered they were set to be booted out of the country – but publicly-funded lawyers successfully took an appeal all the way to the Supreme Court.

The case could open the gates for many more Albanians to win the right to remain in the UK.

At least 80,000 Kosovan refugees fled war and moved here in the 1990s but thousands of Albanians also used the crisis to seek asylum.

Last week’s ruling focused on Dinjan Hysaj, 40, and 44-year-old compatriot Agron Bakijasi.

Hysaj was granted indefinite leave to remain in this country in 1999 after claiming he had been persecuted in Kosovo.

He was given citizenship in 2004 using a false nationality, date of birth and birthplace.

Seven years later he was jailed for glassing a man and his deception came to light.

Bakijasi, who also claimed to have been fleeing persecution in Kosovo, was granted citizenship in 2006 – again using a fake nationality and birth date.

When both frauds became known the Home Secretary ordered the men to be deported.

But lawyers mounted a challenge and argued that lying to obtain citizenship was not enough to warrant removing it.

The judges said in their ruling it was “not clear when the use of false identity to obtain citizenship by one person can lead to nullification”.

They noted that during the appeal neither man pretended to be someone he was not.

The judgment could now be applied to similar outstanding cases involving people using false details to claim citizenship.

Last night the Home Office said the ruling will assist it in exploring its options to ensure people are not able to benefit from such frauds in the future.”

  5. ‘Problem of Whiteness’ course offered at college despite GOP lawmakers calling for it to be canceled

The University of Wisconsin-Madison will be hosting a class titled “African 405: The Problem of Whiteness” for its Spring 2018 semester despite GOP lawmakers’ calls to have the class struck from the syllabus.
    What is the class about?

The class, which is a part of the African Cultural Studies program, promises to help students “understand how whiteness is socially constructed and experienced in order to help dismantle white supremacy” and also examines how whites “consciously and unconsciously perpetuate institutional racism and how this not only devastates communities of color but also perpetuates the oppression of most white folks along the lines of class and gender.”

Other aims of the course include defining what it means to be “woke,” as well as examine what an “ethical white identity” entails.

  6. Mainstream media mischaracterize innocent story about a tree to bash Melania Trump

The mainstream media on Tuesday misconstrued a seemingly innocent story about a historic White House tree, bashing first lady Melania Trump in the process.
    What happened?

CNN reported exclusively Tuesday that the historic Jackson Magnolia tree on the White House’s south lawn is scheduled to be torn down this week. The tree has been in place for nearly 200 years.

Specialists from the United States National Arboretum were recently brought in to analyze the tree’s health. According to CNN, the specialists determined the ailing tree needed to be taken down immediately, despite exhaustive efforts to preserve it.

According to CNN, the specialists determined:

  9. AUSTRALIA MELBOURNE – Police to ramp up counter-terror investigations in wake of Flinders Street attack

THE accused Flinders Street attacker’s mother said drugs ruined her “beautiful son” — after he was charged with 18 counts of attempted murder and police ramp up investigations.

THE man accused of mowing down pedestrians in a 4WD on Melbourne’s Flinders Street on Thursday has faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court charged with attempted murder.

Saeed Noori, 32, of Heidelberg West, has been charged with 18 counts of attempted murder and one count of conduct endangering life.

According to the Herald Sun, detectives allege he hit the crowd “with the intention of killing or causing injury to as many people as possible”.

Mr Noori’s mother, Shakiba Jalaly, was present at the court, and she “burst into tears and rocked back and forth” during the proceedings.

She told the Herald Sun in broken English: “Beautiful son, drug no good. Three years sick, very sick. All the time he’s sick. Very, very beautiful son. Beautiful son, drug no good, all the time drug.”

She attempted to take a photograph of her son with her mobile phone and approach him in the dock before being cautioned by security, and swung her handbag at media gathered outside the court.

The Melbourne man, who fronted court dressed in a grey tshirt and hung his head as his mother wept, did not apply for bail.

He will now be assessed by a psychiatrist before reappearing on December 27.

It comes after allegations Noori was “rambling” about Allah and intelligence agency ASIO (Australian Security Intelligence Organisation) from his hospital bed following the Thursday afternoon rampage.

Police also claim he spoke about the persecution of Muslims following the attack.

Acting chief commissioner of Victoria Police Shane Patton told the Herald Sun <there was no evidence the attack was premeditated or terror-related.

“I think there was something, and I don’t know the exact detail, to do with Allah and some ramblings about ASIO,” Mr Patton said.

“We still haven’t ruled out terrorism. We continue to explore it. It’s about exploring the evidence and the evidence will ultimately take us where it does. If that means it’s a terrorist event, so be it.”

Earlier, Victorian police said they would investigate 300 so-called “fixated persons” in a bid to stop lone-wolf terrorist attacks.

Noori, an Afghan refugee, has a history of mental health issues and drug abuse and he spent a fortnight as an involuntary psychiatric patient earlier this year. He has been discharged from hospital, but remains in police custody.

Police searched the alleged ice addict’s public housing home and seized computers and other items, however, they have found no link between Mr Noori and any terrorist organisations. [ ...I ....S .... L.... A.... M....]

As a result, the incident has not been declared a terrorist attack.

According to The Australian, from February 2018, a newly-formed police unit will investigate up to 300 fixated persons — “potentially violent obsessives who live in the midway point between criminality and mental illness”.

They will draw upon mental health information from the Department of Health and Human Services and police intelligence.

“They comprise three groups of concern: number one is fixated persons, number would be radicalised or violent extremists and the third group is the lone-actor attackers,” Victoria Police assistant commissioner Ross Guenther said.

Fixated persons units are already operational in Queensland and NSW and overseas and they have played an important anti-terror role.

At a press conference on Saturday, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said there would be an increased police presence across the state following the “cowardly act” on Flinders Street.

“Victorian police have the resources and the resolve to do everything that needs to be done to keep the community safe,” he said. “People across Victoria have already noticed an increased police presence … and that will continue to grow.

“There will be more Victorian police at things like the Big Bash, the Boxing Day Test, Carols by Candlelight and New Year’s Eve.

“It’s important that people follow instructions from members of security staff and Victorian police. It’s important that people are patient, cooperative and remain vigilant.”

Meanwhile, a red-shirted, bearded man who was arrested after filming the Flinders Street carnage has been released after it was found he had no links with the attack.

The 24-year-old man, who allegedly had knives and marijuana in his backpack, was released after police determined Mr Noori acted alone.

Mr Noori ploughed into pedestrians on Melbourne’s busy Flinders Street around 4:40pm on Thursday. He was travelling at around 100km/h.

It has been revealed that nine victims are foreign nationals, while the oldest victim was an 83-year-old Melbourne man who was critically injured.

Among the victims are two South Korean men aged in their 60s, a four-year-old boy from South Korea, a 40-year-old Venezuelan man, a 25-year-old Irish woman, a 45-year-old Indian man, a 24-year-old Chinese man and other Melbourne locals.

It has been reported that 12 victims remain in hospital, with three in a critical condition.

Saeed Noori has lived in Australia since 2004, and is an Australian citizen. He has lived in Melbourne for years and was known to police following an assault in 2010. It has also been reported that he was on a “mental health plan”.

  10. Mueller Running Out of Ideas, May Indict Manafort Again
    December 27, 2017
    Daniel Greenfield

Mueller has a very simple problem.

The only purpose of his investigation is to provide fodder for a possible Dem majority to impeach President Trump. His investigation is based on a conspiracy theory invented by the Clinton campaign and utilized for actual criminal eavesdropping by the Obama administration.

And there’s nothing actually there. Worse still, Republicans are going on the offensive. They’re peeling back the layers of collusion between the Clinton campaign and DOJ/FBI officials opposed to Trump. Fusion GPS, which was the interface between the two, is seriously sweating.

Meanwhile Mueller, the guy who put the Washington Post and CNN in the black, whose investigation keeps lefty hopes for overturning the election results alive, has to keep delivering something.

Unfortunately he’s running out of material.

  11. The Obama Years: A Legacy Of Scandal And Deception
Joe Biden’s bizarre disconnect regarding his scandal-ridden former boss.
    December 27, 2017
    Ari Lieberman

On December 13, former vice president, Joe Biden, appeared on CBS with the hosts of “This Morning” where he peddled his new book and showered his former boss with praise. During the course of the interview, he was asked about his relationship with Obama and responded with the following; “I’ve served with eight presidents and I’ve gotten to know four of them very well. I’ve never met any president that has more character, more integrity, and more backbone than this guy does.” Then he went completely off the rails when he absurdly added; “And eight years, not a hint — not a hint — of a scandal.”

What was perhaps even more outrageous than the statement itself was the fact that none of This Morning’s hosts challenged the veracity of that statement and allowed it to pass without a scintilla of scrutiny, exposing yet again an extreme bias existing within elements of the establishment media. In fact, the Obama administration was among the most corrupt and scandal-ridden in recent memory. Biden’s comment merits further examination so let’s buckle up and take a stroll down memory lane.

Solyndra Scandal – The Obama administration provided this failing solar company with a $535 million stimulus-funded loan, courtesy of the American taxpayer. Taxpayer money kept pouring in despite the fact that the Office of Management and Budget warned that Solyndra was not a profitable or viable company. But it gets worse. The family foundation of billionaire George Kaiser, an Obama fundraiser, was one of Solyndra’s main investors. Can you say quid pro quo?

  12. HORRIBLE: Liberals Beg Mass Shooters To Target MORE Republicans

Leftists on Twitter are urging deranged gunmen to mow down Republican lawmakers for having the audacity to overhaul the labyrinthine tax code.

Far-left loons most prominently directed their ire at Representative Steve Scalise (R-La.), who was injured when Bernie Sanders supporter turned radical James Hodgkinson opened fire on a baseball field in Alexandria, Virginia, where a group of Republican representatives and their staff were practicing for the annual congressional baseball game for Charity back in June.

After months of recovery — and multiple near-death experiences — Scalise returned to Congress two months ago. As House Majority Whip, he played a pivotal role in passing tax reform. But a report in the Daily Wire shows that militant leftists are furious that he’s back and wishing he had, in fact, succumbed to his injuries.

One user, who described himself as a “moderate” named Jon, tweeted Scalise, writing: “Seriously – I hope the next maniac has a bump stock and a silencer and is a better shot. You’re a disgrace to America.”

Another user, Tony, wrote, “Too bad that the ‘baseball diamond’ shooter’s aim was so bad. You are a VILE traitor. #dontmissnext time.”

  13. Deadly knife attack in a drugstore in Rhineland-Palatinate. The alleged perpetrator is also a teenager.

Kandel – A 15-year-old stabbed a girl of the same age in Kandel, Rhineland-Palatinate. Passers-by overpowered the young Afghans after the afternoon’s act, and the police arrested him. The attack was preceded by a dispute between the teenagers in a drugstore, said the prosecutor Landau and the police headquarters Rheinpfalz on Wednesday. The German girl had died of the injuries in the hospital.

The victim was according to initial findings in company in the drugstore. The detainee should not have come to the shop together with the 15-year-olds. The trigger of the dispute was initially unknown. The authorities want to give more information on Thursday at the earliest. According to information from the newspaper “Die Rheinpfalz”, the investigators assume a relationship.

  14. Arab Apartheid Targets Palestinians

    by Khaled Abu Toameh
    December 27, 2017 at 5:00 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11620/arab-apartheid-iraq-palestinians

Iraq has just joined the long list of Arab countries that shamelessly practice apartheid against Palestinians. The number of Arab countries that apply discriminatory measures against Palestinians while pretending to support the Palestinian cause is breathtaking. Arab hypocrisy is once again on display, but who who is looking?

The international media — and even the Palestinians — are so preoccupied with US President Donald Trump’s announcement on Jerusalem that the plight of Palestinians in Arab countries is dead news. This apathy allows Arab governments to continue with their anti-Palestinian policies because they know that no one in the international community cares — the United Nations is too busy condemning Israel to do much else.

So what is the story with the Palestinians in Iraq? Earlier this week, it was revealed that the Iraqi government has approved a new law that effectively abolishes the rights given to Palestinians living there. The new law changes the status of Palestinians from nationals to foreigners.

Under Saddam Hussein, the former Iraqi dictator, the Palestinians enjoyed many privileges. Until 2003, there were about 40,000 Palestinians living in Iraq. Since the overthrow of the Saddam regime, the Palestinian population has dwindled to 7,000.

  15. Turkey: Still a U.S. Ally?

Is Turkey still a reliable ally? After repeated endorsements by the government of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of policies inimical to U.S. interests, the answer seems to be not really.

Erdogan recently announced he will seek United Nations support to annul President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

In addition, the Turkish Ministry of Justice has issued warrants for the arrest of two American Turkey specialists, in effect placing a bounty of $800,000 on their heads.

Additionally, there is the somewhat comical furor in Turkey over the adoption by Turkish entrepreneurs of the American “Black Friday” sales concept. Several Turkish businesses, which had attempted to increase sales by borrowing the U.S. “Black Friday” market lure, were attacked by devout Muslims who accused store owners of disrespecting Islam’s day of prayer. The perceived insult to Islam’s Friday Prayer obligation is just another example of a widening antipathy towards the U.S.

While the misunderstanding by Turks over “Black Friday,” will likely fade quickly, the diplomatic damage brought on by the early October arrest by Turkey’s police of a Turkish employee at the U.S. Consulate in Istanbul allegedly for espionage is likely to be more long-lasting.

  16. How to Defund the U.N.

As an assistant secretary of state in the George H.W. Bush administration, I worked vigorously to repeal a hateful United Nations General Assembly resolution equating Zionism with racism. Foreign diplomats frequently told me the effort was unnecessary. My Soviet counterpart, for example, said Resolution 3379 was only a piece of paper gathering dust on a shelf. Why stir up old controversies years after its 1975 adoption?

We ignored the foreign objections and persisted because that abominable resolution cast a stain of illegitimacy and anti-Semitism on the U.N. It paid off. On Dec. 16, 1991, the General Assembly rescinded the offensive language.

Now, a quarter-century later, the U.N. has come close to repeating Resolution 3379’s original sin. Last week the U.N. showed its true colors with a 128-9 vote condemning President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

This seemingly lopsided outcome obscured a significant victory and major opportunity for the president. Thirty-five countries abstained, and 21 didn’t vote at all. Days earlier the Security Council had endorsed similar language, 14-1, defeated only by the U.S. veto. The margin narrowed significantly once Mr. Trump threatened to penalize countries that voted against the U.S. This demonstrated once again that America is heard much more clearly at the U.N. when it puts its money where its mouth is. (In related news, Guatemala announced Sunday it will move its embassy to Jerusalem, a good example for others.)

  17. How Trump Is Saving Western Civilization
Home > Political Islam > In the US > National Security > How Trump Is Saving Western Civilization
By Elliot Friedland Tuesday, December 26, 2017

Trump is saving Western civilization. Not necessarily because of his policies, though. Rather, Trump’s unorthodox political style has created a new political reality in which old ideas are being re-examined or even thrown out, while new ideas are being seriously considered. This is vital to a successful and functional country, and it may just mean the public is ready to have an honest conversation about radical Islam.

Of course, Clarion Project is a non-partisan organization. (While we comment on Trump’s counter-extremism policies, we are not endorsing or rejecting Trump’s policies as a whole). Rather, we have a single mission: to educate the public about the dangers of radical Islam and promote people and policies which are effective in working against it.

Our staff holds a wide range of political opinions and loyalties. We feel this strengthens our organization and helps us build the broadest possible coalition to defeat radical Islam.

At Clarion, by maintaining partisan neutrality, we are in a unique position to nudge the world one step closer to resolving the international problem of radical Islam that causes so much harm to so many.

  19. DOJ scolds Obama administration over reported groping, harassment, office sex

The Justice Department scolded the Obama administration on Wednesday following a report on how sexual harassment of all kinds was improperly handled at the department for years.

The Washington Post reported that the DOJ’s inspector general had found “systemic” problems with how complaints were addressed, with offending officials often being let off the hook or even rewarded. The article cited investigative reports on a lawyer who allegedly groped two female attorneys and a top U.S. Marshals official who had sex with “approximately” nine women in his office.

Though fresh complaints have been filed as recently as August, the IG said some of the worst alleged offenses happened several years ago in the department’s Civil Division.

Ian Prior, a spokesman in the Trump Justice Department, would not comment in detail about the allegations but described the problems as largely occurring during the prior administration.

“The Department does not discuss specific employee disciplinary actions or comment on personnel actions or matters that may impact personal privacy. That said, the Department was very disappointed with the issues that occurred in the Obama administration and strives for a workplace free of harassment and other misconduct for all of our 115,000 employees,” he said in a statement. “That is why the Civil Division has implemented additional safeguards and systems to ensure that all misconduct allegations are handled appropriately going forward.”

  21. Op-Eds On Kurdish Independence In Palestinian Authority Daily – From Absolute Support To Reservations About It

On September 25, 2017, Iraqi Kurdistan held a referendum on the region’s independence; the result was overwhelmingly in favor of a split from Iraq. The Palestinian Authority (PA) released no official response to the referendum and its results, and the Palestinian press reported it only briefly.

The PA daily Al-Ayyam was the only outlet to publish opinion pieces on it. These pieces ranged from expressions of absolute support for Kurdish independence to support qualified by concern over such a move in light of opposition from Kurdistan’s neighbors and other risks that the new state would face. Some called on the Kurds to actualize their independence through coordination and understanding with their neighbors.

In a Friday, December 15, 2017 sermon at the Islamic Centre of Southwest Ontario (ICSWO), in London, Ontario, Canada, Imam Jamal Taleb said, in English, that while the Arabs make up 19% of the world’s Muslims, they buy 50% of the world’s weapons – and not ‘[t]o fight the occupying entity’ but “because they are killing each other.”

Referring to Jerusalem, he quoted the late Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser as saying “Whatever is taken away from you by force… will be restored by force alone,” and added: “We are running to the ‘Black House,’ we are running to Moscow, and we are running to this and that – seeking to become dignified… Our dignity will be achieved not through negotiations.”

He also noted: “We used to say: ‘Palestine and noble Jerusalem as its capital.’ Now what do we say? ‘Palestine and East Jerusalem as its capital’… we replaced ‘noble’ with ‘East’ because this is what our masters told us.” The sermon was posted on the YouTube channel of the ICSWO.

  23. The Chutzpah of EU Intervention in Israel

The European Union engages in ongoing attempts to force Israel to accept its views on borders, assists widespread illegal construction in Area C, and provides massive funding of NGOs that lead anti-Israel demonization campaigns.

Every year, some of the most virulently anti-Israel, anti-peace, and, in some cases, anti-Semitic NGOs are funded under the EU’s European Neighborhood Instrument (ENI) framework. ENI houses the EU Peacebuilding Initiative, which funds propaganda groups such as the Ma’an Network, and the Popular Art Center (PAC).

In February 2016, PAC organized a ceremony in honor of “Palestinian martyrs” whose homes were demolished, featuring the “father of the martyr Baha Eleyan.” Eleyan was one of the terrorists who murdered three people in the October 2015 attack on a Jerusalem bus. The ceremony featured a musical performance captioned “no to laying down arms.”

Other ENI grantees have named schools after notorious terrorists, and bring members of Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine to speak to teenagers to “strengthen Palestinian youth and their engagement in civic and political life in Gaza.”

Through other frameworks, the EU channels large-scale funding to fringe Israeli groups like Breaking the Silence and B’Tselem, turning these groups into instruments of European policy under the pretext of “civil society.” There is no other democracy in the world that is treated similarly by the EU.

A serious consideration of Israeli interests in relations with the EU, including NGO funding, is long overdue.

  24. Anti-Semites On New Jersey Town Council Go Silent When Jews Called An ‘Infection’

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=4&v=2pKW-MiCmPI

[…] On December 14, the public session of the Mahwah, New Jersey town council meeting was witness to a woman telling them, “I want to make it known here, that the town of Ramapo, I’m sure, is suing the Hasidic people, because they have completely sucked the blood out of that town, from ruining their schools, from claiming that their husbandless women … complete corruption, and possibly criminality. And I want to know why it’s taken so long to remove, to remove the infection from our town. Thank you.”

The councilsat silently, without offering any rejoinder to the hatred.

Yet back on August 10, Michael Cohen of the Simon Wiesenthal Center spoke to the council, stating, “You are, in fact, doing nothing more than saying Jews are not welcome.”

That precipitated an outcry from the council, with Hermansen snapping, “I’m done with it. And honestly, I don’t know what the attorney is going to tell me or not, but I’m sorry, you’re done.”

  25. Carl Bernstein: FBI isn’t tainted, Trump’s presidency is

Veteran journalist Carl Bernstein tore into President Trump on Tuesday over the latter’s attacks on the FBI, saying it’s Trump’s presidency whose integrity has been compromised, not the law enforcement agency’s.

In an interview with CNN’s Jim Sciutto, the legendary Watergate reporter accused Trump of acting contemptuously toward the FBI and other “instruments” of American democracy.

“The key word … that he keeps using is ‘tainted.’ There’s really only one institution that has really been tainted through these months and that is the Trump presidency,” Bernstein said. “It’s tainted by the president’s lies, by his disrespect for American institutions operating under the law with traditional American democracy and the instruments thereof.”

“He’s contemptuous of those instruments,” Bernstein added.

Bernstein accused the president of doing a “grave disservice” to the country by undermining institutions such as the FBI. Trump, Bernstein said, should welcome moves from special counsel Robert Mueller’s team if he really believes he will be exonerated in the end.

“If the president is as confident as he says, if this investigation is going to end very soon with him being exonerated, he ought to welcome all of this instead of attacking constantly,” Bernstein said. “He’s doing a grave disservice to our democracy.”

Trump tweeted on Tuesday morning that the FBI was “tainted.” His comment came after he sharply criticized FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe on Saturday over reports that McCabe will possibly retire in March.

“How can FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, the man in charge, along with leakin’ James Comey, of the Phony Hillary Clinton investigation (including her 33,000 illegally deleted emails) be given $700,000 for wife’s campaign by Clinton Puppets during investigation?” the president tweeted.

“FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is racing the clock to retire with full benefits. 90 days to go?!!!” Trump added in another tweet.

McCabe has been the target of Republican criticism over a campaign donation his wife received from Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D), a top ally of the Clintons, a year before the investigation he managed into her private email server cleared former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of wrongdoing.

  26. Top German newspaper editor accuses churches of left-wing bias (DW, Dec 27, 2017)
    http://www.dw.com/en/top-german-newspaper-editor-accuses-churches-of-left-wing-bias/a-41949460

“Ulf Poschardt, head of one of Germany’s leading newspapers, has sparked a social media row over supposed left-wing bias in church sermons during Christmas. Churches have denied the claim.

The editor-in-chief of Die Welt, one of Germany’s leading right-wing newspapers, triggered a social media meltdown on Christmas by complaining about supposed left-wing bias in Germany’s Christmas midnight masses.

Ulf Poschardt wondered aloud on Twitter on Christmas Eve: “Who would voluntarily go to a midnight mass if at the end of the sermon he thinks he spent the evening with the Jusos or the Green youth?” — referring to the youth organizations of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and the Green party, who both represent the left wing of their centrist parties.

The statement came a few days after the leader of the far-right nationalist Alternative for Germany (AfD), Alice Weidel, made a similar complaint to Focus magazine, by saying that churches had become too “political.”…”

“Al Houthis have ordered Yemeni banks in territories they control to seize money and assets of anyone seen to be challenging their rule.

Sana’a has been under a draconian crackdown by the Iran-backed militants for nearly two weeks now following their assassination of former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh earlier this month…”

“The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Wednesday that it had seized Iranian-made weapons from Houthi militias.

Spokesman for the coalition Turki al-Maliki announced during a press conference: “We are receiving several contacts over a list of wanted Houthis. We are aware of the movements of the fugitives in Yemen.”

The coalition command welcomed the United Nations Security Council’s condemnation of the Houthis’ launch of a ballistic missile towards Saudi Arabia, adding: “There is a responsibility on some countries that are turning a blind eye to the arms being smuggled to the Houthis.”

To that end, the coalition revealed that a new search and investigation mechanism was put in place to uncover smuggled weapons…”

  29. 13 jailed for espionage in UAE (memo, Dec 27, 2017)
    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20171227-13-jailed-for-espionage-in-uae/

“Thirteen people have been found guilty of espionage and promoting extremist organisations in the UAE, sources revealed today.

The Abu Dhabi Court of Appeal issued judgments in six security cases yesterday, with jail terms ranging from 18 months to 15 years handed down to the defendants.

Fines were also issues ranging from 6,000 dirhams ($1,600) to one million dirhams ($270,000) in addition to court fees and the cost of deportation after their jail term has been served.

The court sentenced a 28-year-old military officer to 15 years in prison for spying for Iran. He was convicted of passing classified military information to Iranian agents working at the Iranian embassy in Abu Dhabi.

The court also sentenced a 46-year-old Sudanese woman to ten years’ imprisonment and deportation on charges of assisting the Emirati military official to transfer classified information to Iranian clients.

Four Jordanians were also jailed for ten years each after being found guilty of setting up pages on social media platforms which strengthen support for terrorist groups which threaten the UAE’s interests. The men were fined one million dirhams each.”

    • This is total bullshit, the man is a big government type who is working to end up with the government having the ability to look and see everything you buy.
