Imagine the bazillions of dollars that America could save when these various turds invite defunding of US foreign aid by voting against Jerusalem becoming Israel’s capitol. Even the mere prospect causes unrestrained salivation.

The sheer notion of so many diplomatic ingrates shooting themselves directly in the foot is a spectacle of Oscar-worthy proportions. Not that Hollyweird would EVER publicize such a newsworthy event.

Turkey: Erdogan urges world to stand up to Trump’s threats
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the world should not succumb to US President Donald Trump’s aid withdrawal threats against countries who refuse to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, speaking from Ankara on Thursday.

Of course, this
TurdishTurkeyTurkish bully will eagerly replace the hundreds of lost billions of American foreign aid to all of those easily coercedalliesidiots that vote down Israel’s adoption of Jerusalem as its new capitol.Fecking priceless!!!
Someone please reassure me that Trump will hold the course on this precious opportunity to winnow out whatever abject ingrates and loons that no longer desire (or deserve) a shred of America’s magnanimous foreign aid.

Mueller investigation is a ‘trainwreck of misconduct’: Judicial Watch director

“As much as I hate the idea of more nations having nuclear weapons it is possible that just the threat of South Korea and Taiwan getting some (possibly with help from Japan) will be enough to make China reconsider their actions. But we still have to find a way to get them to do this while saving their face with their internal enemies.
OK so I over estimated the number of people who would drown and the amount of ecological damage destroying the dam would do. You are right that the aftermath of such a strike would possibly maybe even probably do as much damage just take months or years longer.
Let’s look at 2 and 4 together.
Farking lack of preview!!!
About the only think I can add is the way the towns in Russia are electing political enemies of Putin, this is giving more power to his enemies which limits what he can do against us or any other nation. This means Europe can breath easy about a Russian Invasion unless the Islamic invasion conquers enough nations next to Russia to create an urgent threat. This also gives us more leverage with China but do we have enough leverage to force China to back down.?
Unconventional weapons are going to be what wins this war, weapons that we are going to be very reluctant to use. The thing about unconventional weapons is that so many of them are coubled edged swords and the use of the single edged unconventional weapons by one side unleashes the rest of us to use any unconventional weapon we possess or can develop. We are going to need large numbers of conventinal weapons and the soldiers to use them but we will also need large numbers of unconventional weapons and Special Operators to use them.
We are seeing the early stages of a return to the time when diseases kill more then the military does. Think about what this return is going to do to warfare and how it can be used by us and against us. Also watch the Black Pigeon Speaks video about how Pax America is dead, killed by Obama with Trump showing no sign of rebuilding it (J.E. Dyer at Liberty Unyielding is saying the same thing). The left has long wanted a world with out Pax America, they have achieved their goal (partially we still exist and are still strong) and they along with our external enemies are discovering that this unleashes not only them but also other nations they would rather not see well armed and in the mood to use their military against the left.
The rest of this Century is going to be interesting, it will be something to see, or at least the portion of it that medical science allows me to watch. I want to see which dystopian novels got it right and how close my projections are to reality.

UN condemns Australia’s forced return of asylum seeker to Sri Lanka (theguardian, Dec 22, 2017)
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/dec/22/un-condemns-australias-forced-return-of-asylum-seeker-to-sri-lanka
“The United Nations’ refugee agency has condemned Australia’s forced return of an asylum seeker to Sri Lanka without any assessment of his claim for protection, saying the man is at serious risk of persecution in his homeland.
The UNHCR had sought assurances from the Australian government the man would not be removed from the country and would be allowed to apply for protection.
But on Wednesday, the man was forcibly removed, in handcuffs, from Villawood detention centre and flown back to Sri Lanka.
The Australian government has maintained that the man was removed because he missed its October 1 deadline to apply for protection, and was deemed not to be seeking protection.
However, lawyers for the man said he had a “credible claim” for protection, based on his Tamil ethnicity, and familial connection to the now-defunct separatist army the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, the Tamil Tigers. It is not suggested he was a member of the LTTE.
The man had struggled to fill out the 41-page protection application form in English unassisted, and was not able to access legal assistance before the deadline…”
Europe rebuked for removing Afghans to one of world’s most dangerous countries (theguardian, Dec 22, 2017)
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/dec/22/europe-rebuked-for-removing-afghans-to-one-of-worlds-most-dangerous-countries
“Britain and other European nations are under increasing pressure to explain why they are sending hundreds of desperate Afghans back to one of the world’s most dangerous countries.
MPs and MEPs have raised questions about whether the EU tied a 2016 aid package for Afghanistan to its willingness to take back refused asylum seekers.
Since the deal, forced repatriations have accelerated. The International Organisation for Migration says 500 Afghans have been forcibly removed back to Afghanistan this year, compared to 200 last year. More than 3,000 have returned voluntarily this year.
As of September 2017, Afghans accounted for the largest number of asylum applications in the EU, with 170,045 pending cases. But they lose more than 50% of asylum appeals – far more than Syrians do – because some parts of the country, such as the capital, Kabul, are now considered safe.
Human rights activists say people sent home could be killed, and Amnesty has accused Germany and other European countries of breaking international law by deporting at a time when civilian casualties in the country are at their highest for years.
In a report discussed by the UN security council this week, the UN secretary general, Antonio Guterres, noted that security was parlous throughout the country.
“Targeted killings and abductions increased by 16% compared with the same period in 2016,” his report said, adding that there were more than 21,000 security-related incidents in the first 11 months of the year.
The UN’s assistance mission in Afghanistan said that in the first nine months of 2017 more than 2,000 civilians were killed and more than 5,000 injured.
In Germany, the repatriations have sparked a wave of airport protests, with signs reading “Don’t send people back to die”. Some pilots have joined the movement, refusing to fly repatriation planes.
“What the government is doing is awful,” said Ramin Mohabat, an Afghan refugee who protested against the departure of 78 asylum seekers at the beginning of December. “They are playing with people’s lives and everyone who is sent back is in danger.
“I have been all over Afghanistan and I know all the cities, and conflict is happening everywhere. The biggest problem is the Taliban but there is also the Islamic State now and in every city there are different armed groups that just do what they want to do.
The EU and Afghanistan signed a “joint way forward” agreement in November 2016 as part of an aid package that contained provisions for deportations of migrants if asylum claims had been lost.
The EU is now being challenged to explain whether the £184m of “state-building aid” was made “migration sensitive” and whether it would have been withheld unless Afghanistan agreed to cooperate on the enforced deportation of Afghans that lost asylum appeals in Europe.
Last week members of the European parliament passed a resolution deploring the failure of the European commission and the Council of Ministers to consult on the 2016 agreement and saying enforced deportation was in direct breach of international humanitarian law.
In the UK, the European scrutiny select committee has written to the Foreign Office minister Alan Duncan seeking fresh details of whether an explicit link to deportations was made by the EU in the deal.
In questioning what it called the “controversial link” between aid and deportations, the committee noted that the EU itself accepted that in 2015 alone 11,000 Afghans died in terrorist attacks.
Sweden and Germany are at the forefront of the accelerating returns. Afghans represent more than half of all refugees to have landed in Sweden. Last year 28% were granted asylum, compared with 91% of Syrian applicants. Even lone minors face the threat of repatriation.
In Germany, a political battle over Angela Merkel’s open doors approach, which was blamed for her poor election result this autumn, has turned migration policy on its head.
The German government has occasionally implicitly acknowledged the dangers of its Afghan policy by temporarily suspending enforced departures in the wake of terrorist incidents, including an attack on the German embassy in Kabul in May.
But regional governments responsible for implementing migration policy have adopted different approaches. After a review this summer it was agreed “criminals, persons who may endanger public security and persons who persistently refuse to cooperate” would still be removed.
“This is a matter of internal politics,” said Heiko Habbe, a lawyer with Fluchtpunkt, a church-based legal aid centre in Hamburg. “Our government immediately announced deporting people after there was a rise in asylum seekers coming to Germany in October 2015. Then one month later we were told that some areas of Afghanistan were ‘safe’.
“In 2016 deportations started and it has no relation to the situation in Afghanistan, which has been deteriorating ever since, but it is being done to show the government is doing something about the migration crisis.”
Aware of the backlash over enforced deportation, the German government has offered a bonus to refused asylum seekers if they take up a special offer by February. Cash incentives in the form of travel expenses have long existed, but a new departure bonus is worth up to €3,000 per family.
With German rightwing newspapers ridiculing Merkel’s “national effort” to increase returns, some Christian Democrat politicians are demanding that the rate of deportations is increased and countries such as Syria be deemed safe countries soon. In the Social Democratic party there is a growing call, led by the foreign secretary, Sigmar Gabriel, to recognise that its electoral reverse was about a failure to address difficult issues of lost cultural identity.
Slowly but surely the welcome culture that marked out Germany in 2015 is giving way to a farewell culture. The biggest losers are likely to be Afghans.”
One can only write articles like this when the postmodernist paradigm is thrown out of the window. But why would you throw it out the window? For sure that would make you racist!

Turkey orders arrest of 16 senior military officers in Gulen probe – media (reuters, Dec 22, 2017)

“Turkish authorities ordered the arrest of seven colonels and nine lieutenant colonels in an investigation into the network of a U.S.-based cleric whom Ankara accuses of orchestrating last year’s attempted coup, the Hurriyet news website said on Friday.
It said the investigation, focussed on the capital Ankara and spread across nine provinces, targeted serving officers in Turkey’s gendarmerie force, which maintains security in rural areas. Other media carried similar reports.
More than 50,000 people, including security personnel and civil servants, have been jailed pending trial in the aftermath of the failed putsch, which the government blames on Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen. He has denied involvement.
Some 150,000 people have also been suspended or dismissed in a crackdown which rights groups say has been used as a pretext to muzzle dissent but which the government says has been necessary due to the security threats Turkey faces.”
The more officers he purges the better, the ones who question things tend to be better officers.

The Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) warned this week that it would conduct “sweeping operations” to enforce a 2016 fatwa by the country’s Islamic Clerical Council prohibiting business owners from forcing employees to don Christmas attire. It claimed this was a violation of their human rights.
“We will raid businesses in anticipation of them being stubborn about this and we will be accompanied by police,” said Novel Bakmukmin, head of the FPI’s branch in the capital, Jakarta…”

“Pakistan has ordered 27 international aid groups to shut down for working in unauthorised areas, spurring human rights campaigners to denounce swelling constraints on free speech and humanitarian work.
The Ministry of Interior gave the 27 NGOs 90 days to conclude operations, according to a list seen by Reuters. Among those being expelled are Action Aid, World Vision, Plan International, Trocaire, Pathfinder International, Danish Refugee Council, George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, Oxfam Novib, and Marie Stopes.
Talal Chaudhry, Pakistan’s Minister of State for Interior Affairs, told Reuters the reason for shutting down the NGOs was because they were doing work in Pakistan “which is beyond their mandate and for which they have no legal justification”.
He declined to give specific examples, but said the targeted NGOs spend “all their money” on administration, are not doing the work they said they were doing, and are working in areas where they were not authorized…”

Simple But ‘High-Impact’ Terror Attacks Are On The Rise: Canadian Report (huffpo, Dec 21, 2017)
http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2017/12/21/simple-but-high-impact-terror-attacks-are-on-the-rise-canadian-report_a_23314700/
“OTTAWA — Extremists are increasingly carrying out simple but deadly attacks using knives and vehicles, Public Safety Canada warns in its latest assessment of the terrorist threat.
Such unsophisticated but “high-impact” assaults took place recently in Edmonton, where five people were injured, and in New York, killing eight people and injuring several more, the annual report released Thursday notes.
“These kinds of potential weapons are easy to obtain and it is therefore difficult to prevent their use in attacks.”
In addition, it notes that Daesh and al-Qaida propaganda has provided guidance to supporters on the use of small arms, vehicles and bladed weapons, offering suggestions on how to inflict the most harm.
“Such encouragement to use simple weapons empowers those who would otherwise be incapable of conducting a more complex terrorist attack.”
Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says in a preface to the report that recent events around the world serve as a reminder that any type of radical ideology, including right-wing extremism, can fuel terrorism.
Canadians have become all too familiar with the tragic consequences of extremism, from the shooting at a mosque in Quebec City that took six lives and injured many more, to the attack in Burkina Faso in which six Canadians were killed, Goodale says.
The principal terrorist threat to Canada continues to stem from extremists inspired by violent Islamist ideology and by terrorist groups such as Daesh and al-Qaida to carry out an attack in Canada, the report says.
Some individuals in Canada who are attracted to such ideologies participate in online forums, the circulation of extremist propaganda, terrorist financing and travelling to join terrorist groups abroad.
Just over 190 extremists with a nexus to Canada are overseas and suspected of engaging in terrorist activity, the report says. In addition, the government is aware of about 60 who have returned to Canada.
These numbers have remained relatively stable over the last two years, as it has become more difficult for extremists to successfully leave or return to Canada, the government says.
Slightly more than half of the Canadian-linked extremists abroad are in Turkey, Syria or Iraq. Only “a relatively small number of returnees” are from that region but the majority of those who have returned from one of the three countries are suspected to have taken part in combat, the report adds.
The report says right-wing extremism is driven by “hatred and fear and comprises a complex range of individuals, groups and online communities” espousing a number of issues and perceived grievances.
“In Canada, individuals who hold extreme right-wing views are predominantly active online, leveraging chat forums and online networks,” the report says. “Rather than openly promoting outright violence, those holding extreme right-wing views often attempt to create an online culture of fear, hatred and mistrust by exploiting real or imagined concerns when addressing an online audience.”
The report also says that terrorists intend to develop cyberattack capabilities, but to date have shown little ability to launch damaging operations. Actually possessing such abilities would allow them to successfully disrupt essential services and critical infrastructure such as the electrical grid, water and food supplies, and transportation…”

Young Britons ‘Paying The Price’ for Decade of Mass Migration, Housing Crisis Report Finds (beitbart, Dec 22, 2017)
http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/12/22/mass-migration-housing-crisis-report/
“A new report has revealed the extent to which Britain’s housing crisis has been driven by mass immigration, with young people “paying the price” for this policy through ever-rising rents.
Migration Watch UK found that the “unprecedented” net migration of 2.5 million people over the past decade has been one of the main factors in pricing young people out of the UK housing market.
Published Thursday, the paper found that mass migration is the “major component” fueling the heavy demand on housing that has sent rent prices sky-high and made it hard for Britain’s young to save for a house deposit.
Migrant families make up nine out of 10 new households added in the last decade, according to the think tank which reported that “London is bearing the brunt of ballooning demand for rental properties.”
Households headed by foreigners accounted for more than 80 per cent of growth in the UK capital’s private-rented sector over the past 10 years, a period in which the report says rents rose by 36 per cent while wages grew just 21 per cent.
One major result of demand for housing in Britain outpacing supply is that young people have increasingly been priced out of the housing market, according to the paper…”
Study: Brexit Not Driven by Racism, Public Want Immigration Control and Criminal Checks (breitbart, Dec 22, 2017)
http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/12/22/study-brexit-not-driven-racism-public-want-immigration-control-criminal-checks/
“The British people predominantly did not vote to leave the European Union (EU) because they are racist and the public’s desire for control over immigration is not driven by prejudice, a report has found.
The study, by the liberal think tank Open Europe, found that the public’s greatest concern about immigration was that background and criminal checks are made. The race or ethnic background of new arrivals was largely unimportant to people.
People were also concerned if migrants would claim benefits, if they spoke English, and whether or not there were well educated, but they were less worried about their sexuality and if they were Christian.
EU membership mandates unrestricted and uncontrolled immigration, which the public opposes, but not because of bigotry, according to the study.
“Since the Leave vote in last year’s referendum, commentators and politicians have wrongly interpreted Brexit as a mandate simply to pull up the drawbridge,” the authors explained.
“We found that people’s attitudes on immigration are far more nuanced and sophisticated than often is portrayed in political or media debate.”
Aarti Shankar, a policy analyst for Open Europe, added: “We found little evidence that the desire to control migration was driven by racism or xenophobia.”
The think tanks used a poll of 4,000 people and a series of focus groups across the country to conduct the study.
A majority of Brits (56 per cent) think the government should judge if migrates will contribute to the economy and British way of life. Fewer (36 per cent) just wanted numbers cut.
A minority of Brexit voters agreed with the latter position (43 per cent), leading authors to deduce that “while immigration was an important driver of the Leave vote, it does not necessarily follow that all Leave voters support a highly restrictive immigration system”.
Respondents were, meanwhile, more likely to be welcoming of certain professions than others, including doctors and academics, but less likely to want “general job seeker” migrants and construction workers, who could drive down wages for the working classes.
However, the study also found the public would oppose harshly restricting immigration if it resulted in negative personal or national economic impacts, with half saying they opposed reducing numbers if it contributed to an economic recession. Since the Brexit vote, the economy and job market have done better than expected.
“Our data contradicts the view of some commentators that xenophobia, racism and intolerance were major drivers of the referendum result,” the report explains.
Adding: “According to our results… Across both Leave and Remain voters, an immigrant’s sexuality, religious background, and race and ethnicity are considered the least important factors in determining entry.””
Record number of Venezuelans fleeing to other parts of South America
BOGOTÁ, Colombia
On a crowded Colombian street packed with holiday shoppers and bathed in the sounds of Christmas music, Larry Centeno sat on the sidewalk and wept.
The 44-year-old, his wife and grown daughter all fled Venezuela earlier this month, and each headed to a different Colombian city in hopes that one of them would land a stable job.
“It’s hard here being alone,” the former electrician said as he wiped away tears and tried to sell small cups of black coffee to passersby. “But in Venezuela there was nothing for us anymore. They stole our hope.”

The Kremlin is surrounded by local councils filled with political opponents. These newly elected deputies say their victories, while small, are only the beginning.
Vladimir Putin’s Kremlin might maintain a strong grip on Russia, but since a Sept. 10 election, the ancient fortress on the Moscow River has been surrounded by the opposition.
Anti-Putin liberals have filled local councils in the Russian capital’s historic and commercial core, as well as a few upmarket residential areas—attaining majorities in 17 of the city’s 125 municipal districts. In some others, the opposition now has sizable minorities. While these councils have only the slightest power to effect change, on par with a New York City community board at best, the symbolism is what really matters to the election’s victors.
In one of Russia’s political paradoxes, it’s often easier for the Kremlin to control the rest of the country than its own capital. It was home to the giant rallies of the late 1980s and the defense of the Russian parliament during the hardliners’ coup of 1991, which precipitated the collapse of the Soviet Union. Moscow has continued to be a cauldron of opposition during Putin’s tenure, even as the federal government pours billions of dollars into urban development and transportation infrastructure.
“The authorities understand that a voter in Moscow requires a more sophisticated approach—straightforward suppression of the opposition doesn’t really work,” said Abbas Gallyamov, a political consultant who used to work for the government supervising regional election campaigns.

Is California Already In Recession?
When it comes to the health of his state’s economy, California Governor Jerry Brown has been walking on eggshells this year.
Unfortunately for Governor Brown, the recession he fears may already have arrived in California.
The following chart showing the trailing twelve month averages of California’s civilian labor force and number of employed is one that we’ve adapted from a different project to show that data in the context of the state’s higher-than-federal minimum wage increases and periods of negative GDP growth for the national economy. It shows that in 2017, the size of the state’s labor force has peaked and begun to decline in 2017, while the number of employed shows very slow to stagnant growth during the year.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Police in California’s Central Valley have launched a manhunt for at least one suspect after a series of 10 random shootings on vehicles left one woman wounded this holiday season, officials said on Thursday.
Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims has warned the shooting attacks, which have occurred in her jurisdiction and neighboring Madera County, could turn deadly.
“If this keeps going, it’s going to be a matter of time before we have a murder investigation,” Mims said at a news conference. “That’s what we’re trying to avoid.”
Witnesses described the suspect’s vehicle as a dark colored pick-up truck with oversized tires, Mims said. The motive for the shootings is unknown, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
A woman was struck by a bullet when she was driving on Dec. 1 in rural Fresno County near the town of Kerman, less than 200 miles (322 km) southeast of San Francisco.
Her injuries were not life-threatening.

May ‘aware’ of reports of Russian spy in No 10
Stanislav Yezhov, who has apparently been arrested in Ukraine, was working as official translator to Ukraine’s PM on a July visit
Theresa May has said she is “aware” of claims that a Russian spy who visited Downing Street has been arrested in Ukraine.
The Prime Minister made the admission in a news conference in Poland a day after a picture emerged on social media showing the man in Number 10.
He has been named by Sky’s Alistair Bunkall as Stanislav Yezhov, the official translator for the Ukrainian Prime Minister.

Baltimore Murder Rate Surges Again In 2017 (Now Tied With Venezuela); Here’s How Your City Fared…
Once again this year, the Brennan Center for Justice has analyzed violent crime stats from the 30 largest cities in America to provide some insight on national trends. Not surprisingly, this year’s report is full of more bad news for the residents of cities like Baltimore and Chicago that have experienced devastating spikes in homicides over the past two years.
Looking at homicides per capita in 2017, Baltimore is clearly the most dangerous large city in the U.S. with a murder rate that is more than 4x the average of other large cities and some 40% higher than the second most dangerous city of Detroit. To put things in perspective, the murder rate in Baltimore is now exactly tied with Venezuela at 57.2 murders per 100,000 residents.

Tougher North Korea sanctions could hit home, analysts say ahead of U.N. vote
SEOUL (Reuters) – Newly proposed sanctions on North Korea could have a significant effect on the isolated country’s already struggling economy, analysts said ahead of an expected U.N. Security Council vote on Friday, which will hinge on support from China and Russia.
Tensions have been rising over North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs, which it pursues in defiance of years of different U.N. Security Council resolutions, with bellicose rhetoric from the North and the White House.
But U.S. diplomats have made clear they are seeking a diplomatic solution and have proposed a number of new, tougher sanctions designed to ratchet up pressure on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
North Korea regularly threatens to destroy South Korea, the United States and Japan and says its weapons programs are necessary to counter U.S. aggression. The United States stations 28,500 troops in the South, a legacy of the 1950-53 Korean War.
On Friday, a spokesperson for North Korea’s foreign ministry called U.S. President Donald Trump’s recently released national security strategy the latest American policy seeking to “stifle our country and turn the entire Korean peninsula” into an outpost of American hegemony.

Catalan separatists win vote, thwarting Rajoy’s bid to solve crisis
BARCELONA/MADRID (Reuters) – Separatists looked set on Friday to regain power in Catalonia after voters rejected Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy’s attempt to defuse the independence movement, instead re-igniting the country’s biggest political crisis in decades.
Spanish markets recoiled at a surprise result that is also a setback for the European Union, which must now brace for more secessionist noise as it grapples with the disruption of Brexit and simmering east European discontent.
By risking an election in the wealthy region, Rajoy appears to have made the same mistake that leaders such as Greece’s Alexis Tsipras, Britain’s David Cameron and Italy’s Matteo Renzi have made in recent years: betting that voters would resolve their troublesome domestic conundrums for them.
For an interactive graphics package, click http://tmsnrt.rs/2AGBazV
With the count from Thursday’s Catalan parliament election almost complete, separatist parties had secured a slim majority, sending stocks down around 1 percent on fears that the euro zone’s fourth-largest economy will be hurt by tensions with its richest region.
After several strained months that saw secessionists organize an illegal referendum on Oct. 1, and police confiscate urns to try to prevent it from taking place, the regional election has failed to produce a solution to the standoff.

India’s economic ‘roach motel’: American businesses check in but they don’t check out
By Edward Woodson December 22, 2017
Like Blag Flag’s famous bait-and-switch for unexpecting household critters, India has become the international business equivalent of the Roach Motel — and its victims are cash-strapped American corporations.
Many American companies are lured into the country by “Make in India,” an initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring companies to his nation. But after these firms arrive, they quickly realize India’s promised laissez-faire economic policies are extremely short-lived.
This shell game is akin to how some cellphone providers drastically hike service charges after the first month. But with Make in India, there is no fine-print. It is pure deception.
The worst aspect of India’s disinformation campaign is that American companies remain trapped. Extracting themselves from this draconian business environment is difficult for cost reasons. These firms just spent exorbitant sums relocating; most cannot afford do it all over again. And so, they remain stuck in their south Asian box, forced into submission.

A really big clue: The close Clinton connection of Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson
By J.E. Dyer December 22, 2017
So this is interesting. Mary Jacoby, former Wall Street Journal reporter and the wife of Glenn Simpson – founder of Fusion GPS – has been in the news today after a new article by Lee Smith was published in The Tablet.
Smith’s excellent article is full of worthwhile information, and I highly recommend it. A couple of windows into it – to whet your appetite – are here and here.
Mary Jacoby wrote at length in June, on Facebook, about husband Glenn’s decisive role in the infamous “dossier” on Trump:
Lee Smith points out this about that:

Refugees in Germany protest deportations and poor living conditions
About 175 refugees from Sierra Leone on Wednesday (local time) demonstrated against deportations and their living conditions in the transit centre where they stay for up to 24 months in the German city of Deggendorf.
The demonstration was peaceful.
According to the police, a 19-year-old pregnant woman had to be taken to hospital after a dizzy spell.
According to the Bavarian Refugee Council, the refugees are critical of unhygienic and cramped conditions in their living quarters and inadequate medical care.
The council said they are also angry over the lack of access for their children to public education and the lack of work permits.
The Bavarian state government rejects the accusations.
According to the refugees, the adults have been on hunger strike since Friday (local time).
This was not confirmed by the state government.

Solidarity with the ‘strike of closed doors’ of 209 people from Sierra Leone in the transit camp Deggendorf
On Friday, 15th of December 2017, 209 people from Sierra Leone in the transit camp in Deggendorf started a ‘strike of closed doors’. In protest, the children and young people refused to attend the German class as access to other educational institutions is denied. The adults haven’t left the accommodation and denied to work in the 80 cents jobs. On Saturday, 16th of December 2017 they started a hunger strike. The protest involves 44 children and young people, as well as 40 women (among them 12 pregnant women) and 125 men. The starting point of the protest was the violent deportation of a man from Sierra Leone on Friday morning, which was stopped in the last minute at the airport.
****
Statement of striking refugees in Deggendorf
We are Sierra Leoneans seeking for protection here in Germany but have been frustrated instead of protected. And we have resolved to strike action based on the following reasons:
Every Asylum seeker from Sierra Leone in Deggendorf gets always negative results in the form of :
1. Dublin deportation 2. Rejection of asylum application 3. Asylum application is ‘invalid’
– The next point is that we now stay in a camp for 2 years instead of the initial 6 months, with no schooling, no work permit.
– Very poor accommodation facilities with 8 occupants in a room, with poor hygiene and toilet facilities.
– Very poor quality of food.
– Deportation to Italy with serious torture and no proper arrangements for reinstatement of the immigrants in Italy thereby leaving the immigrants on the street suffering.
– Forceful deportation of pregnant women, children, sick people and sucking mothers.
– No medication for immigrants for certain sickness. And now established to us that this is a private camp and cannot allow any journalists.
On this basis we have started on 15th December 2017 a close door strike with no schooling and on Saturday 16th December and Sunday 17th December hunger strike and on Monday, we will be going to city council to get clearances to have a peaceful protest accross Deggendorf with continuation of no schooling and hunger strike. This is to let the whole world know how Germany is treating the immigrants.

Netherlands – Police end hostage taking in Den Helder, woman with knife arrested
Police have ended a hostage taking in Den Helder in which a ‘disturbed’ woman took another hostage with a knife in the offices of the Teso ferry company. The woman, who is thought to speak Portuguese, is ‘very emotional’, police said.
A video on the Telegraaf website shows the woman with her victim shouting in English as she pulls her towards the door. It later emerged the two women were colleagues who worked for the same cleaning company. They were on their way to clean a houses in a holiday park on Texel. A spokesman for the company told RTL news that they have no idea what was behind the incident, which led to ferry services between Den Helder and Texel being cancelled for a time.

http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/italy-airlifts-refugees-libya-criticism-mounts-51953939
“Italy organized a first airlift of refugees from Libyan detention centers to Rome after coming under international criticism for helping the Libyan coast guard block migrants from leaving by boat.
The Interior Ministry said the refugees were due to arrive later Friday at Rome’s Pratica di Mare military base. Interior Minister Marco Minniti and the head of the Italian bishops’ conference, Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti, were to welcome them.
The U.N. refugee agency’s Libya representative, Roberto Mignone, tweeted that he was travelling with 162 “vulnerable” refugees. Italy said the women, children and elderly people were all entitled to international protection. It did not say what countries they came from.
Italy and the EU have come under criticism from human rights groups for helping the Libyan coast guard more effectively patrol its coasts to prevent smugglers from operating. “Britain says it has designated two militant groups targeting Egyptian security personnel and public figures as “terrorist” organizations.
The British Embassy in Egypt says in a statement Friday that Britain has added the Hasm movement and Liwaa el-Thawra group to its list of terrorist organizations after reviewing attacks claimed by both groups and finding they meet the criteria.
It also said the move will boost its “capacity to disrupt the activities of these terrorist organizations.”
Both groups have targeted mainly Egyptian security forces in bombings and drive-by shootings. Egyptian authorities believe they are splinter factions of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood group.
Militant attacks have increased dramatically in Egypt since the military’s 2013 ouster of President Mohammed Morsi, a senior Brotherhood figure.”

After a three-hour hearing held behind closed doors, police said the man, an asylum-seeker whom they did not name, was suspected of planning “an act of terror” in November 2016.
They said the attack was thwarted when police in Germany arrested the man’s alleged accomplice as he tried to enter Denmark with a backpack containing 17,000 matches, 17 batteries, fireworks, two kitchen knives and six walkie-talkies.
The alleged accomplice, Dieab Khadigah, also Syrian, was sentenced by a German court in July to six-and-a-half years in prison.
The pair was planning “to kill or hurt random people in an unknown place in Copenhagen … then detonate one or more explosive devices,” authorities said…”

http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/pakistan-militants-kill-troops-cross-border-attack-51955081
“Pakistan’s military says a group of “terrorists” from Afghanistan has opened fire on Pakistani security forces along the Afghan border, killing three troops.
In a statement, the military said Friday’s cross-border attack took place in the Mohmand tribal region, where Pakistani security forces are fencing the border. It claimed that Pakistani troops returned fire and killed five “terrorists.”
The Pakistani army since earlier this year has been constructing a series of fences along the Afghan border, which zigzags across a remote and difficult mountain terrain, to check the movement of militants. Afghanistan objects to the fence construction.
Pakistani and foreign militants who have hideouts there often target Pakistani forces to disrupt the fencing process, which Pakistan says is in the interest of both countries.”

Europe’s Tolerance for Terrorists
The outrage in Amsterdam continues.
December 22, 2017
Daniel Greenfield
Saleh Ali was one of 64,000 Syrian refugees living in the Netherlands. The vast majority, like Ali, are young men. And the largest number of these migrants spend their days idling in Amsterdam.
On Thursday morning, Saleh Ali took a walk to trendy Amstelveenseweg while wearing a keffiyah and waving a terrorist PLO flag. He stopped in front of a Jewish restaurant, shouted “Allahu Akbar” and began smashing the windows. The Amsterdam police stood by and watched quizzically until he was done. Then when he entered the restaurant, they finally called him out and arrested him.
And in two days he was back on the street.
Amsterdam is a very tolerant place. Not just of drugs or prostitution, but of Islamic violence.
Saleh Ali had lied about his past to get his temporary residence permit while claiming to be a refugee. He had combat training and had fought with Jihadists in and out of Syria. He told the police that he had been prepared to die in the attack on the restaurant and that he will continue engaging in violence.
But this information was kept secret until an anonymous source in the police department leaked it. The lawyer for HaCarmel, the restaurant that had been assaulted by the Islamic terrorist, issued a statement expressing outrage that the attacker who had pledged to commit more attacks was back on the street.
