  1. Notes – 11-30-2017

    Notes from NorseRadish:

Re: One tweet – “Lets all the poisons that lurk in the mud hatch out”

I so dearly wish that this single (retweet) event by Trump could become a “break point” in the conflict between Liberal and Conservative elements—or even a decisive moment in the more portentous, “Clash of Civilizations” (per Samuel P. Huntington).

As the butcher’s bill continues to (endlessly) pile up, it becomes just that much more critical to have Islam’s intended victims (i.e., US IN THE WEST) gain a final—if not excruciating—awareness of exactly WHOM has the most to lose.

Hint: It’s the nuclearly, unarmed Muslims that “have the most to lose”, but absolutely NO ONE in the West’s Propaganda Media will ever admit how Islam—in the name of celebrating their particularly repellent delusions of “martyrdom”—is on the very brink of cheerfully inviting complete and total annihilation. Take that to the bank.

There is no small irony in watching a “rude, crude, and socially unacceptable” Political Outsider™ like Trump champion the swift resolution of so many previously “radioactive” (i.e., untouchable, poisonous, and supposedly non-negotiable) diplomatic or strategic disputes that currently beset the West. For a micro-version of this ongoing macro-event, please review Arnold “Ahnult” Schwarzenegger’s distressingly earnest efforts to establish a Y2K period Centrist governorship in California.

With that in mind, the hopes and dreams of every last Conservative™ American may well rest upon the competence (and reelection) of Trump. Even a succeeding “Republican” administration (that does not include DJT) easily could perpetuate the sort of useless Bush 2.0 era policies that were so indistinguishable from that of 0bama’s.

When truth is hate speech, we are doomed. Speak up. Speak often, pay the price. Because the price only ever goes up when ignored.

Really well said, Eeyore! I could not agree with you more.

Silence only ups the butcher’s bill—not only for Conservatives but Liberals as well—because any lack of protest permits installation of these absurd Thought Crime hate speech “laws” (yes, those are sneer quotes). Any of which can just as easily be used by some truly Right Wing tyrant to oppress all legitimate Leftist dissent.

Since it is not their collective ox being gored, Liberals joyously welcome these anti-Constitutional measures. All the while, Leftists refuse to admit that they could be next in line (i.e., per Bezmenov, being “squashed like cockroaches”).

This political myopia is supremely dangerous. It is, perhaps, the single greatest driver of having the various cans of North Korea, Iran, Deficit Spending, Trade Imbalances, and Islamic terrorism being kicked down the proverbial Western political road for several decades.

If there are any cans that truly need kicking, it is those of American politicians (on both sides of the aisle). Their collective and ongoing betrayal of this nation’s economic powerhouse (i.e., the Middle Class) has been one of the very worst, egregious political crimes of the post WWII era.

Between job exportation and willing acceptance of trade deficits, the once-thriving and prosperous US Middle Class has been dragooned into becoming tax suppliers to a political machine that uses those same monies to fund mendicant voter plantations of the underclass and non-assimilating immigrants.

All of this betrayal readily fits the model of America’s 1% “pulling up the ladder after them”. They form enclaves, intermarry, and purposefully restrict entry to newcomers. For whatever reason (or lack thereof), the 1% continues in its refusal to recognize that poisoning America’s economy and the opportunities for self-advancement that it once embodied, is a recipe for disaster.

See: Of the 1%, by the 1%, for the 1%. From the link:

The rules of economic globalization are likewise designed to benefit the rich: they encourage competition among countries for business, which drives down taxes on corporations, weakens health and environmental protections, and undermines what used to be viewed as the “core” labor rights, which include the right to collective bargaining. Imagine what the world might look like if the rules were designed instead to encourage competition among countries for workers. Governments would compete in providing economic security, low taxes on ordinary wage earners, good education, and a clean environment—things workers care about. But the top 1 percent don’t need to care.

Or, more accurately, they think they don’t. Of all the costs imposed on our society by the top 1 percent, perhaps the greatest is this: the erosion of our sense of identity, in which fair play, equality of opportunity, and a sense of community are so important. America has long prided itself on being a fair society, where everyone has an equal chance of getting ahead, but the statistics suggest otherwise: the chances of a poor citizen, or even a middle-class citizen, making it to the top in America are smaller than in many countries of Europe.

There may be no better example regarding this inequality of opportunity than the H-1B Visa program. In a naked attempt to avoid paying skilled American technology workers their well-deserved wages, endless thousands of India’s diploma-mill “graduates” (see: India Graduates Millions, but Too Few Are Fit to Hire) are imported to reduce production costs of intensely damaging (and equally distracting) Internet portals like Social Media and the countless smartphone applications that divert public attention away from far more pressing political and economic issues.

Meanwhile, America continues to admit one of the most racist and non-integrating cultures. No, not Muslims, but Hindus. A Hindu colleague of mine openly admitted that Indians were among the most racist in the world. A simple glance at inter-racial marriage statistics for Hindu immigrants to America will reveal that (like Muslims) very few of them are truly interested in assimilating into their adopted nation.

This is yet another facet of Globalist-based destruction that the 1% (and their complicit politicians) wreak upon Western culture. As Ayn Rand noted: “ You can’t win a battle that never ends.””. Take your pick … the “Global War on Terror”, the “War on Drugs”, the “Great Society” … all of them remain unwinnable without genuine, political willpower.

Between indolent (constantly reelected) politicians and a parasitic 1%, we are in a never-ending battle against Islam, criminally non-integrating immigrants, and a constant onslaught against Western Middle Classes that cannot be won without something akin to another civil war.

This is the horrid outcome that America’s 1%, the EU elite, and Islam’s ulema, have precipitated. With the willing collusion of Western politicians, this is a Mansonic “helter-skelter” nightmare made all-too real. While Charles Manson may be pushing up the daisies, his legacy is all too alive and well. May we rise up and be preserved from this grotesque and tumultuous game-plan of our world’s economic aristocracy.

The alternative is hideous beyond all belief.

    • I would like to reply to your challenge to me in yesterday’s news feed:
I thought the retweet by DJT was ill advised because 2 out of 3 of the videos were not pertaining to the west. There is a plethora of film of Islamists committing violence in the west. That would have been better suited to his point.
The video of the Dutch man on crutches being beaten up was refuted by the Netherlands. Never mind that we all know that the young man doing the beating is not an indigenous Dutchman, probably a 2nd generation immigrant. It was very easy for political power to debunk this video (just a gang dispute). So, I will say that DJT could have chosen much more relevant film that could not be torn apart by the left.
He let ourselves open to fact checking and ridicule. That is why I disagreed with the tweet.
I would also like to take exception to your use of the word “cogent” in responding to my initial comment.
Please provide to me an example of where I haven’t been “cogent” in response to a serious issue.
      Thank you,
      Babs

      • I guess Mr. Radish does not care to respond…
Funny that, as he seems to have an opinion on just about everything.

        • I guess Mr. Radish does not care to respond…

Quite the opposite. I genuinely appreciate your difference of opinion and will provide a detailed reply tomorrow.

If necessary, I will notify Eeyore with my response so that you get a full opportunity to respond in kind. These last few days have been rather difficult for me but that is no excuse when it comes to answering you in proper measure.

          Please pardon my delayed reply.

          • I thought the retweet by DJT was ill advised because 2 out of 3 of the videos were not pertaining to the west. There is a plethora of film of Islamists committing violence in the west. That would have been better suited to his point.

Even if they were not exactly “pertaining to the west”, airing this dirty linen is of such importance that getting it hung out to dry takes priority. I sincerely appreciate your desire to have Trump’s content be more on-point, however, his willingness to broadcast this information at all still takes precedence.

The video of the Dutch man on crutches being beaten up was refuted by the Netherlands. Never mind that we all know that the young man doing the beating is not an indigenous Dutchman, probably a 2nd generation immigrant. It was very easy for political power to debunk this video (just a gang dispute).

I’ve yet to see any major news outlet do this, so it seems as though the footage served its purpose. Could it have been more well-chosen? Evidently. Could it have been more “cogent”? Not likely.

So, I will say that DJT could have chosen much more relevant film that could not be torn apart by the left. He let ourselves open to fact checking and ridicule. That is why I disagreed with the tweet.

All of your points are well-made. If anything, I tend to agree with you. The more accurate and irrefutable that conterjihad material continues to be, the more successful we will be.

Please pardon the tardiness of my reply. I am slowly recovering from a complete digital meltdown and some lingering bandwidth issues.

    • OT but only slightly.

As I was doing my grocery shopping I ran into a women (both her and her husband are retired military) we were talking and in reply to one of her comments I said that we are headed into a low intensity civil war probably within a year. She said I was right and that all of their kids (living and working all around the nation) were under firm orders from Mom and Dad to keep bug out bags packed and have enough money in them to pay for the gas to get to Mom and Dad. They are suppose to have the evac route mapped out with alternates in case the first 1 to 3 are blocked. All of the vets (who are not living in a fantasy world) that I know are saying the same thing.

    • I have a niece who recently married an Indian-born Hindu. An entourage of fifty Indian relatives came here for the two wedding ceremonies. Wealthy, classy, and well-educated. It was Bollywood.

I’m not crazy about intermarriage – to put it mildly – but this seems to be an OK combination. Both families can document their ancestry going back nearly 1000 years. The children will be Jewish, as that’s determined by matrilineal descent.

Must be the caste, these are clearly bred for superior IQ and accomplishment. Not a Jew-hater in the bunch; in fact they’re enthusiastic philo-Semites.

      I’m hoping for hybrid vigor.

“The EU has agreed to cut funds bound for Turkey by €105 million and freeze another €70 million, linked to its bogged-down membership talks, citing the Turkish government’s disregard for human rights and rule of law.

The cuts envisioned in the EU budget for 2018, approved by the EU Council and the European Parliament on Thursday, were made “in view of the situation in Turkey as regards democracy, rule of law and press freedom,” the Council of the European Union said in a statement.

Turkey still has a chance to receive €70 million, “held in reserve” in case it “sufficiently” improves the situation in all these fields…”

“Philippine prosecutors have recommended an extremist leader’s widow to be charged with inciting rebellion for allegedly posting messages online calling for fighters to join a bloody Islamic State group-linked siege in the country’s south, a Department of Justice report and official said Friday.

State prosecutors said in a Department of Justice resolution seen by The Associated Press that there was “probable cause” to charge Karen Aizha Hamidon with nearly 300 counts of inciting rebellion.

While heavily armed militants were staging the disastrous uprising in southern Marawi city, Hamildon allegedly posted at least 295 separate messages, mostly through the Telegram and WhatsApp messaging services, to invite fighters to join the five-month mutiny.

  5. Armed US drones to start flying combat missions over Niger – reports (RT, Dec 1, 2017)
    https://www.rt.com/usa/411534-us-armed-drones-niger/

“Armed American drones will soon begin flying over Niger following approval of their use by the West African nation. The move marks a significant expansion of the US military’s footprint in this part of Africa, where its reach has so far been limited.

The government of Niger has permitted the Pentagon to operate armed drones out of the country’s capital, Niamey, defense officials said on Thursday, according to the New York Times. The newspaper cited a memorandum of understanding signed earlier this week by the US African Command (AFRICOM) and the West African nation.

The memorandum calls for the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to be armed by the AFRICOM initially. The drones will eventually be re-deployed to a Nigerien air base in Agadez, along with 500 US troops.

Previous media reports indicated that Niger had requested the deployment of armed US drones in a bid to wipe out Boko Haram and other jihadist groups operating on its border with Mali, but it was unknown that an agreement had been reached. Speaking to Reuters, an unnamed US official also said that permission for the use of armed drones had been granted earlier this week, but the capability had not yet been put to use…”

  7. Family Reunification ‘Promotes Parallel Societies’, Turkish Sociologist Warns (breitbart,Dec 1, 2017)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/12/01/family-reunification-parallel-societies/

“Turkish migration researcher and sociologist Necla Kelek has slammed left-wing parties’ insistence that migrants be allowed to import their families to Germany — an issue proving to be a major sticking point in coalition talks — warning that the phenomena leads to problems with “political Islam”.

“Family reunification promotes parallel societies and also sends the wrong signal to people in their home countries,” Kelek told Die Welt in an interview earlier this week. “It would be better not to have a grand coalition than one made under such a concession.”

After negotiations between Angela Merkel’s nominally conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU), its Bavarian sister party the Christian Social Union (CSU), the classic liberal FDP and the far left Greens collapsed earlier this month, the German Chancellor’s party is in talks with the Social Democratic Party (SPD) to form another so-called grand coalition with the left-wing party.

But setting out their conditions for partnering with Merkel, the party refused to back an upper limit on the number of migrants brought to Germany through family reunification policies.

Deputy SPD leader Ralf Stegner stressed that allowing refugees to import family members is a “humanitarian obligation” for the nation, and an issue on which the party will not compromise.

Kelek said she vehemently disagrees with left-wing politicians’ claim that it’s difficult for migrants to integrate if they are not allowed to bring their families to Germany with them — an argument made by the Council of Europe, as well as activist NGOs across the continent, which claim a major barrier to integration is migrants’ inability to ship extended family into their new adoptive country.

“The opposite is the case,” the lecturer in migration sociology told the German broadsheet. “In oriental-Muslim societies, family means the extended family, the clan — which is patriarchally organised.

“With family reunificati, n we import the Islamic family system, which leads to parallel societies and integration problems.”.

The arrival of family members, she added, results in a situation where: “Nobody has to adjust [to living in German society] anymore because immigrants can live only among people from their own communities, carrying on with oppressive traditions like child marriage.”

In the interview, Kelek — who has written extensively on the phenomenon of Islamic “parallel societies” in Germany — asserted that problems the country is seeing have been worsened by “the refugee policy as a whole”, referencing Merkel’s decision in 2015 to open the country to a huge influx of Arab asylum seekers.

“It is unbelievable how the chancellor looks away and refuses to take political Islam and the resulting problems seriously,” she said, slamming the CDU leader for comparing the Bible with the Quran.

“Islam is not just about spirituality, but also about the conveyance of values into society,” contended Kelek, adding: “It is this ignorance that created the refugee problem.””

“An Islamic State sympathiser who viciously murdered his wife before disemboweling her in front of their children is facing life in jail without parole after confessing to the crime in an Australian court.

The man, who cannot be named to protect his children, faced the Supreme Court in the state of Victoria on Friday for a pre-sentence hearing. The 36-year-old had pleaded guilty in September to murdering his wife before dismembering her body as the couple’s children were forced to watch at their home in June 2016, according to Nine News.

An autopsy revealed the woman died of blood loss, with multiple wounds to her face and genitals, a gouged-out right eye, and two amputated fingers.

  9. Judge issues ruling on Albany High online posting lawsuits

ALBANY –– A United States District Court judge in San Francisco issued a divided ruling this week on a portion of a case involving an Instagram account created by a former Albany High student that had several racist memes posted on it.

The lawsuits were filed on behalf of 10 students disciplined after the discovery of the account in March. The Albany Unified School District and several employees as well as district officials and an AUSD board member were the defendants.

On Nov. 29, Judge James Donato granted a summary judgment in favor of the defendants regarding how the AUSD disciplined the creator of the account and students who had “liked” and commented on some of the posts.

He ruled against the AUSD regarding four students who liked or commented on posts that didn’t target specific students and one who never liked or commented on anything.

Donato only considered the First Amendment questions and related state law claims raised by the lawsuits in this ruling. The parties agreed to address those questions on summary judgment as they are central to the cases.

  11. George Soros: Oppression in Hungary worse than under Soviets
    [Associated Press]
    Associated Press•December 1, 2017

BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — Hungarian-American financier and philanthropist George Soros says oppression of the opposition by Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s government is greater than when Hungary was under Soviet domination.

Soros said in video messages released Friday that if Orban expels the Soros-founded Central European University, he will keep it in exile and return after Orban’s departure.

Orban, who opposes migration, especially by Muslims, claims Soros wants to flood Europe with migrants. Soros supports migration but says no country should be forced to take them in.

  12. Hungary Says Soros Spy Report Shows Election Interference Risk

Hungary’s intelligence services completed a report on the “network” run by George Soros, backing up the claim that the financier is trying to interfere in next year’s elections, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said.

In an interview with state-run Kossuth radio Friday, Orban reiterated accusations that Soros was bent on undermining Hungary by helping to flood it with Muslim migrants. Soros denied these claims, saying that Orban is lying and setting up a “mafia state” designed for its leaders’ personal enrichment. He said the government was more oppressive than the country’s communist-era regime during Hungary’s Soviet occupation.

Orban, who has focused his entire campaign for re-election on attacking Soros, went a step further in Friday’s interview, accusing the “speculator” of using NGOs he funds to carry out work befitting political parties. These civic groups would set up offices nationwide to campaign against the government because of its stance against Muslim immigration, Orban said, citing the intelligence report.

LONDON — A prominent Anglican cleric and gay rights campaigner known for contentious gestures has urged believers to pray for Prince George — age 4, and third in line to the throne — to find the love “of a fine young gentleman” when he grows up so as to advance the cause of same-sex marriage in church.

Coming just days after Prince Harry — George’s uncle, and fifth in line — announced his engagement to Meghan Markle, a divorced American actress, the suggestion by the Very Rev. Kelvin Holdsworth seemed to illuminate once more Britain’s fascination with royal love, especially when it collides with tradition.

Prince Harry and Ms. Markle have said they will marry in May at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, west of London. But it is only since 2002 that the Church of England has permitted church marriages for divorced people, “in exceptional circumstances” at the discretion of parish priests. The church teaching is that marriage is for life.

TEGUCIGALPA (Reuters) – Honduras moved into a fifth day of political limbo on Friday, with a long-delayed presidential vote count that has sparked unrest amid opposition accusations of electoral fraud likely to take up to two more days before yielding a winner.

International concern has steadily grown about the electoral crisis in the poor Central American country, which also suffers from widespread poverty, drug gangs and one of the world’s highest murder rates.

President Juan Orlando Hernandez began stretching a slim lead against his rival Salvador Nasralla on Thursday as the vote count ran in his favor, maintaining a reversal in the trend that began after a 36-hour delay halted the process on Monday.

TEGUCIGALPA (Reuters) – Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez extended the lead over his rival to just over one percentage point in a seesawing, delayed vote count for a presidential election that has sparked a political crisis, latest results showed on Thursday.

The website of the electoral tribunal said that with 90.4 percent of ballots counted after Sunday’s election, Hernandez had secured 42.68 percent of the vote in the Central American nation, with his centrist opponent Salvador Nasralla on 41.6 percent.

The process has been disrupted by technical glitches, and Nasralla initially held a five point lead over pre-election favorite Hernandez until the count ground to a halt on Monday with more than half of the ballots counted.

  16. UN appeals for record $22.5bn humanitarian aid for 2018 (BBC, Dec 1, 2017)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-42194751

“The United Nations has appealed for a record $22.5bn (£17bn) in humanitarian aid for 2018.

The global aid appeal aims to raise funds to help 91 million of the world’s most vulnerable people, out of 136 million in need, a UN statement said.

More than $10bn is needed to address the humanitarian crises in Syria and Yemen alone, it added.

The UN also said needs are rising substantially in a number of African countries.

Driven by conflicts in Africa and the Middle East, the number of people in need of humanitarian aid has increased by more than 5%, according to UN co-ordinator Mark Lowcock.

The targeted fund is a 1% increase on the amount requested last year. By the end of November, the agency had raised nearly $13bn – which the UN says is record levels of funding.

More than a third of the fund requested is to address the needs created by the devastating civil war in Syria: $3.5bn to provide humanitarian aid inside the war-ravaged country and $4.2bn to help the 5.4m registered Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries.

In Yemen, which is facing the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, the UN says $2.5bn is needed to assist those most desperately in need.

The UN has acknowledged they aim to cover the needs of only half of the 20 million people in Yemen who are in need of urgent humanitarian assistance. Eleven million of those are children and 400,000 are affected by severe acute malnutrition.

Each of Congo, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan are in need of more than a billion dollars of aid to assist the most vulnerable.

The UN statement also said that in some other countries, including Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Iraq, Mali, and Ukraine, humanitarian needs have declined.”

“Turkey’s state-run news agency says Turkish authorities are seeking the arrest of a former top analyst for the CIA as part of the investigation of last year’s failed coup.

Anadolu Agency reported Friday that Istanbul prosecutors issued a detention warrant for Graham Fuller, a former vice chairman of the CIA’s National Intelligence Council. The agency says the prosecutors suspect Fuller of being in contact with people who have been accused of participating in the coup attempt in some way.

Anadolu says Fuller is being sought on charges that include attempting to violate the constitutional order.

The Turkish government blames a Muslim cleric, Fethullah Gulen, for allegedly orchestrating the takeover attempt, an allegation Gulen denies.

“An influential group of Islamist scholars has rejected its inclusion in a terrorism blacklist compiled by four Arab countries boycotting Qatar, the Gulf Arab state where it is based.

Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain added the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS)to the list last week, saying it used “Islamic rhetoric as a cover to facilitate terrorist activities.”

The group, listed along with another entity and 11 individuals, dismissed the move as unacceptable.

“These accusations against IUMS are baseless and we consider this attempt to weaken the leadership of an institution that represents 90,000 scholars and hundreds of millions of Muslims for political purposes unacceptable and illogical,” the group said in a statement on its Twitter account.

The union was formed in 2004 mostly by clerics belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood, the Arab world’s oldest and largest Islamist organisation, and is chaired by prominent preacher Sheikh Youssef al-Qaradawi.

Some Gulf states are wary of the Brotherhood’s acceptance of the ballot box, a position that challenges the Gulf tradition of dynastic rule and offers an alternative interpretation of the role of Islam in politics…”

    • Why is “it” illogical? Because you represent hundreds of millions? Surely such a statement makes no sense with respect to logic. However, at least now we do know for sure that your “little, diverse group” consists of hundreds of millions…

“After a significant rise in the number of hand grenade attacks, Swedish authorities are proposing a bill of amnesty for those willing to turn in their weapons.

The amnesty bill is designed to encourage those in possession of hand grenades to give them in to police and get them off the streets. The bill is scheduled to be introduced to the Swedish parliament in February next year and will likely see a general amnesty occur for three months between October and January 2019, SVT reports.

Grenade attacks have increased substantially in recent years. In 2014, Swedish police recorded only eight cases that involved the use of hand grenades while 2016 saw that number grow to 52. The increase has led Sweden to rival Mexico in the prevalence of hand grenade attacks…”

    • BREITBART She’s Blown It! POTUS Cancels UK Visit After PM May Grovels to EU, Whines Over Trump Tweets

A planned “working visit” to the United Kingdom by U.S. President Donald Trump has been cancelled following Prime Minister Theresa May’s decision to publicly upbraid him over Twitter retweets.

The prime minister said the president was “wrong” to share videos purporting to show Muslims committing acts of violence while on a visit to the Middle East, where she is attempting to curry favour with local dictators.

President Trump did not hesitate to rebuke the British politician, telling her: “Don’t focus on me, focus on the destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism that is taking place within the United Kingdom. We are doing just fine!”

News that the president has cancelled a planned “working visit” to open the new U.S. embassy in London came in the early hours of the following morning.

“The idea of a visit has obviously been floated, but not December and not January. I would not expect a Trump visit in January,” a senior U.S. diplomat told The Telegraph.

This unwelcome development comes only a little over two months since Breitbart London Editor in Chief Raheem Kassam speculated that May — who supported Remaining in the European Union in 2016, and leads a Remainer-dominated Cabinet — would attempt to manufacture a row with the Trump administration in order to sabotage Britain’s prospects outside the bloc.

“Look at the way she treated President Trump at the United Nations,” he reminded readers in a September 2017 think piece.

“Instead of using her speech to promote Britain in the world, she used it to attack President Trump on immigration and refugees, as well as harping on about climate change deals and a long-deceased Pakistani prime minister. Not a single mention of the word ‘Brexit’.”

Kassam believes that sabotaging the prospects of the “very big, very powerful” trade agreement which the U.S. president has been seeking with Brexit Britain will be used by the prime minister to push for Britain to remain more closely entangled with the European Union after departure than it would otherwise need to be.

“She’s going insult Trump to the point where the U.S. won’t want to do a deal with Britain, then she’ll blame Trump for being mercurial and say we need to water down, or abandon Brexit because Britain needs economic security,” he stated.

BBC anchor Jane Hill suggested to Kassam that the current Twitter row has “nothing to do with Brexit” after he reiterated his belief that “the British political establishment is calculatedly using this to try and drive a wedge, because they don’t want Brexit to happen”.

With the working visit now cancelled, his interpretation appears increasingly persuasive.

  21. Christmas market TERROR: German police on alert after BOMB found near Potsdam (express, Dec 1, 2017)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/886866/Germany-terror-threat-German-christmas-Market-Postdam-bomb-disposal

“GERMAN police are on high alert after a bomb was discovered at a Christmas Market in Potsdam, near Berlin.

Officers confirmed the bustling Potsdam market, 18 miles from Berlin, was evacuated following concerns over a “suspicious object”.

Officials have since confirmed the package is an improvised explosive device (IED), with one local spotting wires poking through the item.

A convoy of special forces made their way to the scene on Brandenburger Strasse, along with a bomb disposal unit specialised in dealing with homemade devices.

The weapon has since been disarmed by officials, with people on the scene reporting sounds of a loud bang were heard across the city.

The Brandenburg police force tweeted: “The items turns out to be an IED.

“The affected area in the inner city of Potsdam has to be evacuated.

“Please listen to our loudspeaker announcements.”

Security officials have been on high alert around the nation’s world-renowned Christmas events following an attack in December last year when a truck was deliberately driven through a festive market next to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church at Breitscheidplatz in Berlin.

Police have confirmed no threat was made against the Potsdam event ahead of the incident.

The object was described by the Potsdamer Neueste Nachrichten newspaper as a package measuring 40×50 cm.

The suspect item is believed to have been deposited outside a pharmacy near the market, and was brought to the attention of police by the shop’s staff.

It comes as German officials endeavour to protect Christmas markets with a “ring of steel” amid fears they could once again be the target of terrorist attacks.

Tight security measures are designed to prevent a repeat of the devastating attack in the German capital this year.

In Bochum, western Germany, organisers decorated concrete bollards blocking out pedestrianised areas, wrapping them up as Christmas presents with bows to make them look more festive.

Meanwhile at other markets, there were security staff patrolling the market, and concrete barriers to protect shoppers from a copycat attack after the tragedy in Berlin last year…”

  23. No Justice for Kate Steinle
Illegal’s attorney says “not guilty” verdict is “all about immigrant rights.”
    December 1, 2017
    Lloyd Billingsley

A San Francisco jury on Thursday found Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, also known as Juan Francisco Lopez Sanchez, not guilty of the murder of Kate Steinle on a San Francisco pier on July 1, 2015. The jury of six men and six women, including three immigrants, found the Mexican national not guilty of all murder and manslaughter charges and guilty only of felony possession of a firearm.

For Garcia’s Zarate’s attorney, Matt Gonzalez, Ralph Nader’s running mate in the 2008 presidential election, the trial was all about Donald Trump.

“For those who might criticize this verdict – there are a number of people who have commented on this case in the last couple of years,” Gonzalez said after the verdict, “the Attorney General of the United States and the President and Vice President of the United States. Let me just remind them, they are themselves under investigation by a special prosecutor in Washington D.C. and they may soon avail themselves of the presumption of innocence beyond a reasonable doubt, so I ask that they reflect on that before they comment or disparage the results of this case.”

“From day one this case was used as a means to foment hate, to foment division and to foment a program of mass deportation,” added defense attorney Francisco Ugarte. “It was used to catapult a presidency along that philosophy of hate of others. I believe today is a day of vindication for the rights of immigrants.”

  24. NFL Bankrolls The Resistance to Trump
A $100 million fund to appease America-hating players while sticking the knife in patriotic fans.
    December 1, 2017
    Matthew Vadum

The dying National Football League is choosing its America-hating, national anthem-protesting multimillionaire players over patriotic sports fans by funneling close to $100 million to leftist charities like those founded by admitted communist Van Jones.

The corrosive fairy tale, embraced by professional football, that police use black Americans for target practice is malicious nonsense but it is a useful lie, good for direct-mail campaigns and MoveOn solicitations.

With this new initiative, NFL Commissar Roger Goodell is affirming for the umpteenth time that it is in the business of virtue-signaling and indoctrination, not football. In addition, the NFL is embracing Black Lives Matter and Antifa as partners in the Left’s fundamental transformation of America.

Even without this money, the financial outlook for left-wing advocacy groups was already sunny, especially after depraved currency speculator George Soros shifted $18 billion of his personal fortune to his Open Society Foundations philanthropy in October. If you’re involved in the world of liberal-progressive nonprofit advocacy, life is good, and getting better by the day.

The money raised by the NFL will go to organizations promoting what ESPN calls “social justice change.” In today’s political climate, that suggests terroristic Black Lives Matter and Antifa-related groups will get a good chunk of the cash. And if somehow you’re still an NFL fan after the league has done everything it can to drive you away, the NFL will put the antisocial donations on your tab.

    It is so unnecessary.

  26. UN Security Council Meets Again on North Korean Missile Test
Calls for solidarity in isolating regime undercut by UN bureaucracy hiring of North Korean national.
    December 1, 2017
    Joseph Klein

Following the latest intercontinental ballistic missile launch by North Korea, its most powerful one yet, United Nations Under-Secretary General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman briefed the UN Security Council on Wednesday November 29th at an emergency meeting requested by the United States and Japan. The missile, according to expert estimates, has a potential range of more than 8,000 miles, which would confirm the boast by North Korea’s official media that the missile is “capable of striking the whole mainland of the United States.” Mr. Feltman noted that the latest missile firing was North Korea’s “third test of a ballistic missile of apparent intercontinental range in less than six months and its twentieth ballistic missile launch this year.” The regime, he added, had not bothered to issue any airspace or maritime safety notifications before the missile descended into the sea in Japan’s exclusive economic zone.

“Given the grave risks associated with any military confrontation, in exercise of its primary responsibility the Security Council needs to do all it can to prevent an escalation. Unity in the Security Council is critical,” Mr. Feltman said. “Security Council unity also creates an opportunity for sustained diplomatic engagement – an opportunity that must be seized in these dangerous times to seek off-ramps and work to create conditions for negotiations.”

The UN sanctions continue to be evaded and have had no discernible effect to date on North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un’s calculations. He would evidently rather see his people suffer starvation than give up the nuclear arms protection he considers necessary against any perceived external threat to his regime’s survival. North Korea shows no signs of any interest in negotiations unless they result in the lifting of sanctions and acceptance of North Korea as a full-fledged nuclear armed state. North Korea’s official media claimed that the regime had “finally realized the great historic cause of completing the state nuclear force, the cause of building a rocket power.”

  27. Denaturalization Sought Against 5 Child Molesters
Naturalization has provided the “keys to the kingdom” to criminals and terrorists.
    December 1, 2017
    Michael Cutler

On November 21, 2017 the Department of Justice issued a press release, “Denaturalization Sought Against Five Child Sexual Abusers in Florida, Illinois and Texas.”

According to the press release, each of the five men had become naturalized United States citizens more than a decade ago and had all engaged in illegal sexual contact with children prior to becoming U.S. citizens. Three of the victims who had been sexually assaulted were merely six years old at the time they were assaulted.

In each case the alien concealed his criminal acts against his victim in filing for citizenship. Such false statements constitutes a felony under the provisions of 18 U.S. Code § 1425 (Procurement of citizenship or naturalization unlawfully) with a potential maximum prison sentence of 10 years in prison. However the maximum sentence of 25 years in prison may be imposed if such fraud was committed in conjunction with terrorism.

However, the statute of limitations of ten years has tolled for each of these individuals. (Most federal felonies have a statute of limitations of 5 years, where naturalization fraud is concerned, however, the statute of limitations is ten years. We will address the reason for this shortly.)

    • What the Flynn Plea Means

      ?
      by Andrew C. McCarthy

There’s less to the news than meets the eye.

Former Trump-administration national-security adviser Michael Flynn is expected to plead guilty today to lying to the FBI regarding his conversations with Russia’s ambassador to the United States.

Flynn, who is reportedly cooperating with the investigation of special counsel Robert Mueller, is pleading guilty in federal district court in Washington, D.C., to a one-count criminal information (which is filed by a prosecutor in cases when a defendant waives his right to be indicted by a grand jury).

The false-statement charge, brought under Section 1001 of the federal penal code, stems from Flynn’s conversation on December 29, 2016, with Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak. At the time, Flynn was slated to become the national-security adviser to President-elect Donald Trump. The conversation occurred on the same day that then-president Barack Obama announced sanctions against Russia for its interference in the 2016 election. It is believed to have been recorded by the FBI because Kislyak, as an agent of a foreign power, was subject to monitoring under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

Mueller has charged Flynn with falsely telling FBI agents that he did not ask the ambassador “to refrain from escalating the situation” in response to the sanctions. In being questioned by the agents on January 24, 2017, Flynn also lied when he claimed he could not recall a subsequent conversation with Kislyak, in which the ambassador told Flynn that the Putin regime had “chosen to moderate its response to those sanctions as a result of [Flynn’s] request.”
      ?
Furthermore, a week before the sanctions were imposed, Flynn had also spoken to Kislyak, asking the ambassador to delay or defeat a vote on a pending United Nations resolution. The criminal information charges that Flynn lied to the FBI by denying both that he’d made this request and that he’d spoken afterward with Kislyak about Russia’s response to it.

Thus, in all, four lies are specified in the one count. The potential sentence is zero to five years’ imprisonment. Assuming Flynn cooperates fully with Mueller’s investigators, there will be little, if any, jail time.

Obviously, it was wrong of Flynn to give the FBI false information; he could, after all, have simply refused to speak with the agents in the first place. That said, as I argued early this year, it remains unclear why the Obama Justice Department chose to investigate Flynn. There was nothing wrong with the incoming national-security adviser’s having meetings with foreign counterparts or discussing such matters as the sanctions in those meetings. Plus, if the FBI had FISA recordings of Flynn’s conversations with Kislyak, there was no need to ask Flynn what the conversations entailed.

Flynn, an early backer of Donald Trump and a fierce critic of Obama’s national-security policies, was generally despised by Obama administration officials. Hence, there has always been cynical suspicion that the decision to interview him was driven by the expectation that he would provide the FBI with an account inconsistent with the recorded conversation — i.e., that Flynn was being set up for prosecution on a process crime.

While initial reporting is portraying Flynn’s guilty plea as a major breakthrough in Mueller’s investigation of potential Trump campaign collusion with the Russian regime, I suspect the opposite is true.

Speculation that Flynn is now cooperating in Mueller’s investigation stirred in recent days due to reports that Flynn had pulled out of a joint defense agreement (or “common interest” arrangement) to share information with other subjects of the investigation. As an ethical matter, it is inappropriate for an attorney whose client is cooperating with the government (or having negotiations toward that end) to continue strategizing with, and having quasi-privileged communications with, other subjects of the investigation and their counsel.

Nevertheless, as I explained in connection with George Papadopoulos (who also pled guilty in Mueller’s investigation for lying to the FBI), when a prosecutor has a cooperator who was an accomplice in a major criminal scheme, the cooperator is made to plead guilty to the scheme. This is critical because it proves the existence of the scheme. In his guilty-plea allocution (the part of a plea proceeding in which the defendant admits what he did that makes him guilty), the accomplice explains the scheme and the actions taken by himself and his co-conspirators to carry it out. This goes a long way toward proving the case against all of the subjects of the investigation.

That is not happening in Flynn’s situation. Instead, like Papadopoulos, he is being permitted to plead guilty to a mere process crime. A breaking report from ABC News indicates that Flynn is prepared to testify that Trump directed him to make contact with the Russians — initially to lay the groundwork for mutual efforts against ISIS in Syria. That, however, is exactly the sort of thing the incoming national-security adviser is supposed to do in a transition phase between administrations. If it were part of the basis for a “collusion” case arising out of Russia’s election meddling, then Flynn would not be pleading guilty to a process crime — he’d be pleading guilty to an espionage conspiracy.

Understand: If Flynn’s conversations with the Russian ambassador had evinced the existence of a quid pro quo collusion arrangement — that the Trump administration would ease or eliminate sanctions on Russia as a payback for Russia’s cyber-espionage against the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic party — it would have been completely appropriate, even urgently necessary, for the Obama Justice Department to investigate Flynn. But if that had happened, Mueller would not be permitting Flynn to settle the case with a single count of lying to FBI agents. Instead, we would be looking at a major conspiracy indictment, and Flynn would be made to plead to far more serious offenses if he wanted a deal — cooperation in exchange for sentencing leniency.

To the contrary, for all the furor, we have a small-potatoes plea in Flynn’s case — just as we did in Papadopoulos’s case, despite extensive “collusion” evidence. Meanwhile, the only major case Mueller has brought, against former Trump-campaign chairman Paul Manafort and an associate, has nothing to do with the 2016 election. It is becoming increasingly palpable that, whatever “collusion” means, there was no actionable, conspiratorial complicity by the Trump campaign in the Kremlin’s machinations.

Flynn pleads to process crime, over transition-period chats with Russians like ones Obama had
    By J.E. Dyer December 1, 2017

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn entered a plea on Friday to one count of making false statements to the FBI.

This is a typical outcome of special counsel investigations. They find no underlying crimes, and can only prosecute process crimes that occur solely because the investigation is taking place.

Fox News has the unvarnished substance of the false statements Flynn pled to:

According to the charging document, those false statements were that:

On or about Dec 29, 2016, FLYNN did not ask the Government of Russia’s Ambassador to the United States … to refrain from escalating the situation in response to sanctions that the United States had imposed against Russia that same day; and FLYNN did not recall the Russian Ambassador subsequently telling him that Russia had chosen to moderate its response to those sanctions as a result of his request.”

“On or about December 22, 2016, FLYNN did not ask the Russian Ambassador to delay the vote on or defeat a pending United Nations Security Council resolution; and that the Russian Ambassador subsequently never described to FLYNN Russia’s response to his request.”

  32. Brown University to allow grad students to ‘self-identify’ as minorities
By Ben Bowles December 1, 2017

Somewhere Rachel Dolezal is having a good laugh.

According to The Brown Daily Herald, the goal of a new Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan at Brown University is to encourage historically underrepresented groups, or HUGs, to become part of the Brown family. In the plan, HUGs are defined as “those who self-identify as American Indian, Alaskan Native, African American, Hispanic or Latinx and Native Hawaiian and/or Pacific Islander.”

The article notes with more than a trace of pride that the “largest-ever cohort of students” from HUGs entered graduate programs this fall, representing 12% of the entire class of graduate students. The number of students from HUGs has increased by 38% since 2015.

Reaching quotas, once viewed as anathema, has become a revered practice in academe of late. But accomplishing that end by permitting students to self-identify as members of groups to which they obviously don’t belong is as novel as it is seemingly crazy.

  33. End of the kebab? Takeaway owners furious at new EU crackdown (express, Dec 2, 2017)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/887017/EU-ban-European-Union-Kebab-Turkey-fast-food-takeaway-justeat

“EUROPEAN Union officials have been accused of discrimination after attempting to ban high street kebabs.

The bloc is attempting to clamp down on phosphates used in the huge slabs of meat kept in kebab shops around the continent.

But eurocrats have been accused of doner discrimination after it was revealed they would not be considering the same ban for some types of sausages that also contain the chemical.

Baris Donmez, who owns a kebab shop in Berlin, said: “They are looking for ways to hurt Turkish businesses here.

“Such a ban would be the biggest pile of garbage imaginable.”

EU officials are attempting the ban after studies linked phosphates to cardiovascular disease – however kebab makers say the additive is a necessary element and keeps the meat juicy and flavourful.

Kenan Koyuncu of the German Association of Doner Kebab Producers claimed the move could kill off the industry.

He said: “If the European Parliament gets its way, this would be the death sentence for the entire doner kebab industry in the European Union.”

The proposal has already found some opposition from representatives in the bloc, with the European Parliament’s health committee voting 32-22 in opposition to the ban.

It will now be offered to the entire European parliament, who will vote in two weeks time as the proposal travels through the intricate Brussels bureaucracy.

It comes as the growing success of takeaway restaurants is being threatened by a shortage of skilled workers, coupled with rising inflation and business rates.

Earlier this year the British Takeaway Campaign published research showing that takeaway restaurants contributed £4.5billion to economic output last year and currently employs more than 230,000 workers.

At the time Graham Corfield, managing director at Just Eat, which co-founded the campaign, said: “Everyone loves their local takeaway, but few would realise these small, often family-run businesses are behind so much of the UK’s economic growth.

“British consumers are now enjoying North African and Middle Eastern takeaways – with orders for Syrian food increasing ten-fold since 2014.

“That’s alongside firm favourites like Italian, Chinese and Indian.

“This report shows that with the right policies from the Government, the takeaway sector can thrive.””

  34. Italy: Saudi FM accuses Iran of aiding al-Qaeda at MED summit

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir discussed a wide array of issues including Syria, Iran, Yemen and Lebanon during the second day of the third Mediterranean Dialogues (MED) summit in Rome on Friday.

    https://www.alaraby.co.uk/english/news/2017/12/2/saudis-and-iran-trade-insults-at-positive-agenda-conference

“Saudi Arabia and Iran have exported their bitter regional tussle to Rome, accusing each other of villainous meddling in the Middle East during diplomacy talks in the Italian capital.

“They have literally got away with murder in our region and the world,” Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir told a three-day conference on creating “a positive agenda” in the Mediterranean on Friday.

The gathering, called “Beyond Turmoil”, became the stage for a bitter slanging match between the two countries, with al-Jubeir saying Iran’s “negative influence throughout the region” was clear to see.

Iran and Saudi Arabia are engaged in a regional battle for dominance being fought by proxies in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon and other countries – a tussle which has drawn in the West.

“Since 1979 Iran has been the world’s chief sponsor of terrorism”, al-Jubeir said.

Tehran “harbours and facilitates the movement of terrorists” and “established Hizballah in Lebanon, using it to launder money and smuggle drugs,” he added.

Iran got its own barbs in first, with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif saying on Thursday: “I don’t want to turn this into a Saudi bashing, but…” Saudi Arabia “has rejected every ceasefire effort in Syria, in Lebanon,” he said.

“Who supported ISIS (the Islamic State group), hoping they would overthrow the government of Syria in three weeks? Who was behind an entire blockade of Qatar?

“Who tried to force the prime minister of Lebanon out of office?” he asked.

“We believe all the countries need to live together, work together, but some people are trying to exclude us,” he said sadly.

Al-Jubeir protested that it wasn’t Saudi Arabia that struggled to have friends and allies in the region and beyond and Iran might want to do some soul-searching.

“We have good relations with almost every country in the world, except Iran and North Korea. Who is Iran friends with apart from (Syrian President Bashar) al-Assad and North Korea?” he asked.

It fell to a tired-sounding Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to urge the pair to try dialogue rather than insults.

“We have been raising the issue of Saudi Arabia and Iran differences many times, they should start talking. It’s really unfortunate,” Lavrov said.”

  36. The number of Somalis facing disaster increased ten times in ten months (alaraby, Dec 1, 2017)
    https://www.alaraby.co.uk/english/news/2017/12/1/somali-population-facing-disaster-increases-ten-times-in-2017

“The number of Somalis at risk of famine has increased more than ten times in the last ten months, the UN reported on Thursday.

There were 866,000 people in the ‘Emergency’ phase (IPC Phase 4) in November 2017 – up from 83,000 people in January 2017, the latest humanitarian bulletin reported on Thursday.

“[Somalia] continues to face drought conditions spanning over four consecutive poor rainy seasons that severely aggravated the humanitarian crisis,” the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in its November bulletin.

Somalia’s humanitarian crisis is expected to worsen in 2018, as the UN’s latest forecast predicts that 6.6 million people – around 50 percent of Somalia’s total population – will require humanitarian assistance and protection.

Half of that number – 3.3 million people, representing a quarter of the total population – are expected to require emergency food, water and medicine supplies.

This emergency level is also reflected in the country’s nutrition rate – now at 17.4 percent. The emergency threshold stands at 15 per cent.

Save the Children, a humanitarian organisation, reports that 9.5 percent of children under five are severely malnourished in the district of Mataban alone.

“Drought and conflict have continued to be the principal drivers of humanitarian needs in Somalia,” said Peter de Clercq, the UN’s humanitarian coordinator for Somalia

Somalia has experienced several years of poor rainy seasons, which has made it impossible to grow crops or maintain the country’s extensive livestock population.

OCHA has previously blamed the 2015-2016 El Niño phenomenon for the poor rainfall, referring to a shift in global atmospheric pressure that occurs every six – seven years.

The Deyr rainy season, lasting from October to December, started late again in 2017 however and is generally performing below average – marking a “fourth failed rainy season”, according to the UN. OCHA added on Thursday that the long-term forecasts for the Gu rainy season, lasting from April to June 2018, were “grim”.

The current humanitarian situation in Somalia comes only six years after a drought last hit Somalia, killing 250,000 children in 2011.”

  37. Groups exploiting Islam for political purposes should be exposed: European Parliament panel (gulfnews, Dec 1, 2017)
    http://gulfnews.com/news/europe/groups-exploiting-islam-for-political-purposes-should-be-exposed-european-parliament-panel-1.2133424

“The Muslim Brotherhood has done irreparable harm to European’s view of Islam, and the influential group needs to be confronted over its ideas and philosophy by mainstream media and politicians on the continent.

That’s one of the major conclusions of a European Parliament panel discussion on Islam earlier this week on the reasons behind the spread of radicalisation of Muslims.

Given the Belgium has been rocked by a series of serious terrorist attacks on the Brussels airport and metro system last year by Islamic extremists, the panel focused on trying to figure out what drove Muslims to become radicalised.

Opening the event that drew leading academics and researchers, Marijana Petir, a Croation Member of the European Parliament, highlighted the difficulties being experienced in the Western Balkans where groups seeking to further the cause of political Islam are taking advantage of poor communities in Bosnia Herzegovina.

The Brussels event was organised by the Trends Research and Advisory think tank, along with the European Foundation for Democracy and was hosted by Petir, who sits with the European People’s Party grouping.

Groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood are also working to radicalise youth who can then enter the European Union through Croatia, posing a threat to all of Europe, Petir noted, adding she recognised that poverty or difficult socio-economic circumstances do not explain paths to radicalisation, and that it is necessary to identify the causes of the radicalisation which is the ideology being put forth by those supporting political Islam.

The experts examined a wide range of examples around Europe where it is clear that organisations like the Brotherhood are furthering an ideology that manipulates ideas from Islam to create polarisation in societies.

This deliberate manipulation of religion involves creating narratives of victimhood and exclusion, telling Muslims that Europe somehow is against Islam, when the reality is that individuals can exercise their freedom of religion and other rights in Europe without any difficulty.

The panel looked at recent events in Sweden, where a parliament report of the Brotherhood’s activities there noted that the government has refused to confront the emerging role of political Islam in the nation.

Sweden has a long-standing policy of embracing multiculturalism, but that has had a negative effect in that the government is unwilling to challenge the views proffered by the Muslim Brotherhood, with the result that the group exerts undue influence on how Islam is viewed, understood and treated.

Even though the evidence of the problem has been clear for years, the matter is becoming worse as a generation of youth will be manipulated by this ideology, the panel noted.

In Belgium itself, a government report prepared in the wake of the March 2016 terror attacks in Brussels notes how the Muslim Brotherhood and other groups infiltrate Muslim society and inspire violent ideas. This is done by the Brotherhood using language with double meaning to show governments that they are not the problem to address. The reality, however, is different – it is creating separations in society and polarising views which fuel radicalisation and violence.

The panel said the Muslim Brotherhood and other similar groups that exploits Islam for political purposes must be confronted about their ideas to reveal their true beliefs and how the portray society and religion.

Effectively, groups like the Muslim Brotherhood are responsible, the panel said, for the way Europeans view Islam. Politicians also need to be more aware of what groups like the Muslim Brotherhood are doing and the impact of their politicisation of religion. While their activities may be non-violent, they have been proven, as shown in the Brussels report, their ideology supports and inspires to those that use violence.

Politicians need to be able to have the strength to demand all groups adhere to the rules of European society, and not claim that their belief system puts them outside the laws of Europe. That’s the only effective way, the panel concluded, to develop more effective preventive measures to counter radicalisation of Muslims”
