“The Islamic State group holds some 11,100 blank Syrian passports that can be completed with any individual’s details, German authorities say.
Investigators have gathered a list of serial numbers of the blank passports and the authorities that issued them, weekly German newspaper Bild am Sonntag reported Sunday, citing confidential documents from federal police and the interior ministry.
The stolen passports are genuine identity papers that have been left blank allowing them to be filled out with details of by forgers.
In total, German security services are aware of around 18,002 blank Syrian passports stolen from Syrian government sites, including thousands held by various groups other than IS.
“Developments in connection with the refugee situation have shown that terrorist organisations are using the opportunity to infiltrate potential attackers or supporters into Europe and Germany undetected,” a spokeswoman for the BKA federal criminal police told Bild am Sonntag.
IS militants behind the November 2015 Paris attacks – which claimed 130 lives – were found to have used fake Syrian passports.
However, the spokeswoman said that fake passports are more often used for illegal entry into a country rather than carrying out attacks.
Some 8,625 passports checked by German migration authorities in 2016 turned out to be fakes according to the documents seen by Bild am Sonntag.
The files provided no information on how many of the passports were among those that had passed through IS’ hands.?”

Al Qaradawi has been one of the most influential Muslim figures for decades. Despite holding controversial opinions sometimes, the 91 years old Egyptian cleric is an authority in Muslim jurisdiction and a well respected figure among Muslim scholars.
Egypt’s repeated attempts to get him arrested and extradited are a reaction to his opposition to the removal of former president Mohamed Morsi by the Egyptian military in 2013.”

For the employees of the Jacques Berque Center for Humanities and Social Studies in Rabat, Morocco, Mervin “has created a climate of terror with impunity, particularly when it comes to the non-French staff of the Center.”
In a petition published September 8 on the website Change.com entitled “An aid worker should not do this,” a young researchers collective denounce the behavior of Mervin, an Islamic historian, whom they accuse of “dysfunctioning this Research Center by setting up a deleterious climate.”
“She turned away many PhD students and researchers, often with hints of neo-colonialism and racism. She humiliated research labs in Morocco,” reads the petition, adding that “research projects were hampered, young Moroccan researchers discouraged and dissuaded from coming to work at the Center while many university partners were shown a great deal of contempt.”
Furthermore, the group of researcher accused Mervin of “exerting on the Moroccan staff of the Center a continuous harassment of a rare violence,” which according to them led to serious health complications as “out of the six people working as staff in the institution, four of them went through the emergency and resuscitation services of the hospitals in Rabat.”
The petition detailed that the secretary general who was violently assaulted by Mervin, was a “victim of a vagal malaise in June 2017, and was admitted in resuscitation,” however, according to the document the matter was shortly after classified.
“The driver of the Center subjected to bullying and humiliations worthy of another age, victim in August 2017 of an irreversible cerebral accident, classified matter!” reads the text.
The group of researcher also listed the cases of the computer scientist who was also subjected to unbearable pressure and harassment and is currently under medical supervision for heart problems related to workplace stress, and “the executive secretary who was victim of the same pressure and who resigned in June 2017.”
In both cases, the petition explained that the matter was quickly classified.
“Meanwhile, Mrs Mervin does not seem worried,” pointed out the petition. The text, accusatory in its integrality does not shy away from describing the governance of the institution as a “schizophrenic strategy … of harassment and violence” in a “closed diplomatic place,” due to which Mervin enjoys “high protection.”
The group of researcher not only blamed Mervin for her racist and violent behavior, but also for her disrespect to Moroccan history as they explained that “on the sidelines of a seminar, as a historian, Mervin disrespected an entire nation by casting doubt on the role played by his Majesty Mohammed V in protecting Jews in Morocco during the Second World War.”
For the group, “tarnishing with impunity the memory of his Majesty late Mohammed V” is “unacceptable and scandalous.”
“Perhaps Madame Mervin is the voice of a current of revisionist historians working to harm the superior interests of the Kingdom and to sully her memory,” wondered the group.
Through their petition, the researchers appealed to the head of the Moroccan government, to the leaders of the Moroccan political parties, to the rectors and presidents of the Moroccan universities, and to the Moroccan student unions “to stop this scandal.”
“We also appeal to the responsible French minister to have a call to order, if not a reminder,” concluded the group.”

A majority of EU interior ministers voted in September 2015 to assign some 120,000 people around the EU out of the 1.6 million who have landed on Greek and Italian shores since 2014, .
But the quotas proved unpopular with some former communist eastern European governments, who said they were not equipped to integrate people from mainly Muslim countries.
In more conciliatory comments, Merkel said assigning asylum seekers across European Union countries will be simpler once Europe’s shaky migration policy is on a firmer footing.

The chancellor also defended working with militias in Libya to block departures of migrant boats organised by people smugglers.
“It’s right to smash these economic structures and prevent people from drowning in their thousands in the Mediterranean,” she said.
But she added: “I think it would be wrong to work long-term with a militia that does not support the unity government” in Tripoli.”

The report states that whilst the total fertility rate (TFR) amongst the settled population continues to fall, population growth has been increased in part by the higher fertility rates of immigrants, noting that “in 2013 women born in four countries – Poland, Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh – accounted for 8.8 per cent of all the births in the UK.“
The report points to the legacy of former prime minister Tony Blair’s immigration policies and EU expansion as sources for the rapid growth of the UK’s population since the mid-1990s.
Until 1995, two elements contributed to a slow rise in population growth over the preceding 30 years: a falling British fertility rate and low net immigration.

Rumors about the momentous visit, which was not confirmed by Israel, started swirling when Israel Radio’s diplomatic correspondent covering Arab affairs, Simon Aran, took to Twitter to announce the visit. Chicago woman found dead in freezer of Rosemont hotel
ROSEMONT, Ill. (WLS) —
A 19-year-old Chicago woman was discovered dead early Sunday inside a freezer at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosemont, police said.
Kenneka Jenkins was last seen Saturday morning and reported missing at about 1:15 p.m. She was attending a party Friday night on the ninth floor of the hotel.
Her family said that police told them that Jenkins was intoxicated when she walked into the freezer.

Magic mushrooms could one day be used to treat depression.
British scientists plan to conduct a study that investigates the illegal drug’s active ingredient, known as psilocybin, in patients with the mental health condition who have not previously responded to treatment.
If the trial, which is due to launch next year and is the largest of its kind, is successful, the substance could be approved for treatment of the blues.
This comes after a renewed interest in psychoactive substances such as MDMA and LSD for hard-to-treat conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and alcohol dependency.
Around one in three cases of depression do not respond well to existing treatments.

Why are Portland police purging their two-decades-deep database of street gangs?

Portland police have long been amassing a database of suspected members of criminal gangs, but this is about to end. Not only will the Portland Police Bureau will end the 20-year practice of issuing gang member designations starting Oct. 15. The bureau also intends purge all records collected to date, The Oregonian reports.
The reason? The agency is concerned that the vast majority of people with the gang label are racial minorities. They are doing this in the name of “equality.”
The designations, the bureau explains, can lead to “unintended consequences” and a lifelong stigma even for those who have given up the gang lifestyle. Officials intend to notify the approximately 300 people on the gang list that “There are still criminal gang members. That doesn’t go away because we don’t have a gang designation,” said Capt. Mike Krantz, according to The Oregonian. “We’re not pretending gang violence doesn’t exist. We’re just taking this one thing away.”

European Union Calls For Massive Internet Censorship
A leaked document from the European Union reveals that the EU presidency is calling for massive internet censorship and filtering.
European Digital Rights (EDRi) reported on Wednesday that a Council of the European Union document leaked by Statewatch on August 30 reveals that Estonia, which is currently seated as the EU Presidency, has been pushing other member states to adopt all manner of internet surveillance.
The proposals, if adopted, call for European countries to follow in China’s footsteps regarding online censorship.
The directive calls on the EU to enact even stricter copyright laws, which EDRi says pushes pre-existing terms “further into the realms of illegality.”
The text contains “two options for each of the two most controversial proposals: the so-called ‘link tax’ or ancillary copyright, and the upload filter.” EDRi says both directives would be harmful to a free and open Internet.
The proposals are suggested as alternatives for 2014 legislation already introduced in Germany and Spain dubbed the “link tax,” (also known as the “Google tax”) which has the potential to undermine access to public domain works. The concept behind the tax was to charge online news sites that publish news snippets, such as Google News, to pay a fee for every publication they aggregate.
Option A maintains the Commission’s original proposal of having in place an upload filter which will be under the control of platforms and other companies that are hosting online content. Although it removes mentions to “content recognition technologies”, in reality, there is no way to “prevent the availability” (another expression which remains in the text) of certain content without scanning all the content first.
Option B is, at best, a more extreme version of Option A. In fact, it seems so extreme that it almost makes the first option look like a reasonable compromise. This may, of course, be the “diplomatic” strategy. In this extreme option, the text attacks again the liability regime of the e-commerce Directive – which, bizarrely, would not be repealed, leaving us with two contradictory pieces of EU law but adds a “clarification” of what constitutes a “communication to the public”. This clarification establishes that platforms (and its users) would be liable for the copyright infringing content uploaded by its users.
In other words, platforms like Twitter or YouTube could be held responsible for each and every piece of content uploaded by their users. Demanding that these websites vet each and every piece of content would not only cost too much, it is also impossible to do manually — even for tech giants.

A member of German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservative party has demanded ‘hate speech’ laws are deployed against Muslims who attack “infidels” in mosques, as well as those who criticise Islam.
Jens Spahn, 37, is a gay Catholic seen as a rising star on the political right of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU), who has even been tipped as a possible future chancellor.
“We have to fight hate speech from the Islamistic side,” Mr. Spahn told The Times.
“Talking about infidels is actually close to a kind of hate speech,” he said. “We have this [hate speech] law but we may not always be enforcing it in the way it should be enforced.”
The lawmaker has previously criticised Mrs. Merkel’s open door immigration policies and called for mosques to be registered.
“Migrants, especially from the Arabic countries and north Africa, frequently pose challenges,” he continued. “The question is how to integrate Islam as an institution and what is going on in mosques.
“Are they talking about infidels? I would say that just this word infidel signifies in itself separation, radicalisation, ‘we are different to you and we are better’.
“That is one root of the problems we have in integration, in all western European countries.”
Germany has some of the western world’s harshest hate speech laws that were designed after World War II to prevent the vilification of certain identity groups.
They are frequently used against people who criticise mass immigration and say provocative things about Islam.
In August of this year, a court found a farmer guilty of hate speech after he described migrants as “filthy people” online after some recent arrivals stole his property. Parts of the Quran, routinely read out in mosques, describe non-Muslims as stupid and “cattle”.
The farmer was convicted of a hate crime and sentenced to a 1,350-euro fine. His lawyers have appealed the fine and legal proceedings are on going.

Today marks the 16th anniversary of al-Qaida’s 9/11 attacks. We learned much that tragic day, at enormous human and material cost. Perilously, however, America has already forgotten many of Sept. 11’s lessons.
The radical Islamicist ideology manifested that day has neither receded nor “moderated” as many naive Westerners predicted. Neither has the ideology’s hatred for America or its inclination to conduct terrorist attacks. Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution brought radical Islam to the contemporary world’s attention, and it is no less malevolent today than when it seized our Tehran embassy, holding U.S. diplomats hostage for 444 days.
The Taliban, which provided al-Qaida sanctuary to prepare the 9/11 attacks, threaten to retake control in Afghanistan. Al-Qaida persists and may even be growing worldwide.
While ISIS’s caliphate in Syria and Iraq will not survive much longer, countries across North Africa and the Middle East (“MENA”) have destabilized or fractured entirely. Syria and Iraq have ceased to exist functionally, and Libya, Somalia and Yemen have descended into chaos. Pakistan, an unstable nuclear-weapons state, could fall to radicals under many easily predictable scenarios.
This is a very good summation of what happened and is happening. As in Nam the US military is wining on the battlefield but the politicians in both parties are throwing their sacrifice away. As he points out we are facing two existential threats (actually three but one is internal not external) the two external threats are nuclear proliferation and Islam (he says Islamic Terrorism) threats that the Propaganda Media are downplaying because admitting that they are existential threats would be admitting that the policies advocated by the left are an existential threat. We who work in the resistance to the left and their policies and allies are helping get the facts out but way too many on our side refuse to admit that North Korean and Iran having nukes and the ability to deliver them means that there will be nuclear strikes in the West. The entire of what use to compose Western Civilization are at risk from the forces of totalitarian regimes who want to destroy all freedom.

The latest victims are Palestinian artists who are bearing the brunt of a campaign of intimidation to force them to boycott a summer arts festival in Jerusalem under the pretext that the event promotes “normalization” with Israel. The artists have been warned that anyone who participates in the Mekudeshet Festival as part of the Jerusalem Season of Culture will be expelled from the General Union of Palestinian Artists.
The festival, which is taking place in Jerusalem between August 23 and September 15, tries to “take an alternative and more open look at reality” in the city, according to the Mekudeshet Festival website.

It is hard to believe that it has been 16 years since four passenger airliners were used as de facto cruise missiles to carry out the most horrific terror attack in the history of the United States.
That attack was against the entire United States of America, however, for those who were in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania on that day, the attack was also personal — all too personal.
I will never forget the sight of the ashes from the conflagration at what came to be known as “Ground Zero” fluttering down on my neighborhood in Brooklyn on that day. I will never forget my neighbors screaming and wailing as they watched the televised coverage of that act of violence and destruction playing out just miles from our homes, knowing that their loved ones and friends went to work only an hour or two earlier at the World Trade Center, or in one of the buildings near the World Trade Center complex.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is trying to restore the legitimacy of policing, so damaged by the Obama Justice Department. Ongoing conflicts in Milwaukee and Chicago show how difficult it will be to undo the previous administration’s legacy. Barack Obama’s Justice Department put more police departments under federal control than any previous administration; these federal consent decrees—binding agreements between a local agency and the federal government—cost police departments millions of dollars to implement and take dozens of officers off the street to fill out reams of paperwork within rigid deadlines. In 2011, the Justice Department started offering police departments “collaborative reform” as a less-burdensome alternative to the onerous consent-decree process. But collaborative reform soon morphed into consent-decree lite. The reports ran over 200 pages and contained scores of nitpicking recommendations. And when the Justice Department looked more closely, it was not at all clear that the agency that ran collaborative reform—the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS)—had the statutory authority for such adversarial audits.

NEW YORK — On the sixteenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 Islamic terrorist attacks, President Donald Trump did not once mention the terms “radical Islam” or “Islamic terrorism” during a commemoration ceremony at the Pentagon.
Those phrases were also not mentioned in speeches today by other Trump administration senior officials, including Vice President Mike Pence, Defense Secretary James Mattis, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
Instead of naming the enemy, Trump seemingly went out of his way to use other descriptors in his speech, including “terrorists who attacked us,” “barbaric forces of evil and destruction” “horrible, horrible enemies,” “enemies of all civilized people” and “enemies like we’ve never seen before.”
Similarly, Pence, speaking at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, referred to the scourge as “evil terrorists” and “global terrorism.” Pence did mention “the barbarians known as ISIS,” calling the global jihadist group by its acronym instead of the Islamic State.
Mattis, addressing the same Pentagon memorial as Trump, outwardly minimized the Islamic motivations of the terrorists by calling them “maniacs disguised in false religious garb.” He referred to “attackers perpetrating murder” on that fateful day, not even using the words “terrorist” or “terrorism.”
Sessions perhaps came closest to prescribing a religious ideology, calling out “extremists” who “seek to impose their speech codes, their religion, their theocracy.”
“For these extremists, it’s more than religion; it’s ideology,” he stated. “We have no choice but to defend against it.”
But Sessions did not mention a specific religion and did not expound upon which ideology the terrorists maintain.[…]
The uniform lack of the mention of radical Islamic terrorism from the administration today comes after previous reports that H.R. McMaster, Trump’s embattled National Security Adviser, has petitioned against using the phrase.
In February, CNN cited a source inside a National Security Council meeting quoting McMaster as saying that use of the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism” is unhelpful in working with allies to fight terrorism.
[…]Breitbart News also reported that McMaster endorsed and touted a book that frames jihad as largely peaceful “means to struggle or exert effort,” such as waking up early in the morning to recite prayers. It argues that groups like al-Qaida and other terrorist organizations have hijacked the concept of jihad to wage warfare using such tactics as suicide bombings.
That same book calls Hamas an “Islamist political group” while failing to categorize the deadly organization as a terrorist group, and refers to al-Qaida attacks and anti-Israel terrorism as “resistance.”

The Department of Justice asked the Supreme Court early on Monday to stay the decision by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which sought to expand the class of refugees that could be admitted to the US.
The California-based 9th Circuit ruled on Thursday that “refugees who have formal assurances from resettlement agencies or are in the US Refugee Admissions Program (“USRAP”) through the Lautenberg Amendment” should be allowed in.
President Donald Trump initially ordered a temporary ban on almost all refugee admissions to the US.
While federal judges immediately sought to block the order, the Supreme Court allowed it to partially go into effect in a June 26 ruling, specifying that exemptions must be made for those with “a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States.”
Several conservative Justices were unhappy with the phrasing, predicting it would lead to endless litigation and efforts by lower courts to interpret it as broadly as possible.
Since then, several motions have been filed against the Trump administration’s implementation of the restrictions, claiming that the government’s definition of a “bona fide relationship” was too narrow.
The 9th Circuit also ruled that extended family such as grandparents, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins of persons in the United States should be exempt from the travel ban, which restricts entry for citizens of six predominantly Muslim countries – Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
Monday’s filing from the DOJ did not contest that portion of the ruling, Reuters reported.”

“Islamic extremist fighters killed four Somali government soldiers and briefly took a town near the border with Kenya Monday, and a separate bomb blast in the capital killed one person, officials said.
A dawn attack on the southern town of Beled-Hawo started with a suicide car bombing targeting government troops’ frontline defenses. A gunfight then followed between al-Shabab fighters and Somali government troops, according to Col. Osman Ali, a military officer based in the town.
Some Somali soldiers fled across the border into Kenya before returning to recapture the town from al-Shabab fighters, who had retreated amid airstrikes by the Kenyan military, he said.
Many civilians ran for their lives across the town’s sandy streets when al-Shabab briefly took control of the town, said Beled-Hawo resident Mohamed Hashi…”

“Iran’s judiciary news website is reporting that an appeals court has upheld the prison sentence of a man charged with “collaborating with the hostile government” of the United States.
Mizan Online’s Monday report quotes Tehran prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi as saying that an appeals court approved a two-year prison sentence for a man only identified by his first name, Alrieza.
The report did not elaborate, but the term is relatively low compared to previous similar cases, some involving up to 10 years of jail time.
Despite a U.S. call in July for the immediate release of U.S. citizens and other detained foreigners, Iran in September upheld a 10-year jail term for an American citizen, two US-Iranian dual nationals and a Lebanese citizen on similar charges.”
