N. Korea ‘on standby to launch,’ state-run paper says in response to Trump’s latest warnings
North Korea took its turn Saturday in the country’s escalating, back-and-fourth with President Trump, with the state-run newspaper saying leader Kim Jung Un’s revolutionary army is “capable of fighting any war the U.S. wants.”
The assertion was made in an editorial that also states the Paektusan army is now “on the standby to launch fire into its mainland, waiting for an order of final attack.”
The editorial also argues that the United States “finds itself in an ever worsening dilemma, being thrown into the grip of extreme security unrest by the DPRK. “Well, I think that if you have Sharia courts, which can adjudicate on domestic matters particularly,” he said before Humphrys added: “Well, adjudicated within their own community.”
Mr Whittle continued: “No, but you can’t have separate communities with their own legal systems.”
The back-and-forth exchanges continued as Humphrys suggested it was about communities having “their own traditions rather than legal system”.
But the Brexiteer refuted the claim and replied: “It’s not John… this is adjudication, this is actually handing out hearings, handing out particular rulings on particular issues which mostly, as I say, affect women.”
However, the host insisted those involved “do not have to obey those rulings” and would only have to “obey” rulings from British courts.
Mr Whittle replied: There is enormous pressure put on them [to obey]… if this was so small and insignificant I don’t even think the Government itself would actually be having [an inquiry].”
The exchange comes after Ukip MEP Mike Hookem quit as deputy whip in the European Parliament over support within the party for Sharia Watch founder Anne Marie Waters, who is also standing for party leader.

Trump adviser compares Holocaust to North Korea threats
A top adviser to President Donald Trump said Thursday that we should take a lesson from the Holocaust and take the North Korea threats seriously.
In response to incresing threats made by North Korea, including threatening a strike on Guam, Trump said if the country makes any more threats on the U.S. “they will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.”
It was unclear what would cross Trump’s line, but some were critical that the statement sounded like Trump was open to using nuclear weapons.
Gorka, explaining those comments in an interview with BBC’s Radio 4, explained why he thought that language was necessary using an anecdote he said was told to him by a Holocaust survivor, who had lost his entire family in concentration camps.
“What is your one take-home? What is your one lesson learnt from the horrors of the millions killed?” Gorka said he asked the man, without naming him. “And he said, ‘It’s very simple. When a group of people repeatedly says they want to kill you, sooner or later you should take them seriously.’ ”

If you read the article you see that he was comparing the threats Hitler made to the Jews to the threats Kim is making to the US. Police were attacked after being called to a Laval Moroccan festival Saturday night when a fight broke out between about 100 people.
Some of the attendees encircled police and started throwing rocks at them.
One officer and one person at the festival sustained minor injuries.
A 15-year-old was arrested.
Police said the people who were fighting were largely between the ages of 15 and 18.
It was the Moroccan festival’s first edition and it took place near the Laurentian Autoroute and Du Souvenir Boulevard.
Police are discussing with organizers if the festival will continue Sunday.

Laval police say officers were attacked by young concertgoers after intervening in a brawl at an outdoor concert Saturday night.
About 1,000 people had gathered for the concert which was part of a new Moroccan festival near Laurentian Highway 15 and du Souvenir Blvd. said Lieutenant Geneviève Villemure from the Laval police.
Around 8 p.m. a group of about 150 people, mostly between the ages of 15 and 18, erupted into a brawl while rapper Salimo was performing, says Villemure.
When police and security intervened, some of the young concertgoers responded by circling the police and running in and out of hiding spots to throw rocks at the officers.
To manage both the ongoing brawl and the attack, police called backup including the crowd control squad, increasing their presence to a total of 50 officers.
Throughout the attack one police officer and one civilian suffered minor injuries, said Villemure.
Police arrested one person throughout the course of events; a 15-year-old boy who was accused of armed aggression and disturbing the peace. He was detained while police investigated but was released within a few hours.
Villemure says the brawl ended between 9 and 10 p.m. but after discussion with police the festival organizers decided to cancel the remaining events scheduled for the evening.

Ugly ‘white supremacist’ rally in Charlottesville draws ugly counter-protest, ends with fatality

It takes only seconds to say what is most needful about the planned rally of Nazis, KKK, and white-supremacy hangers-on in Charlottesville, Virginia on 12 August.
The ideology espoused by these groups is vile. It is racist, anti-Semitic, hate-filled, and divisive. It manifests itself in weird symbology and cult-like chants. It is legitimately connected to Adolf Hitler, to persecution of American blacks in the decades after the Civil War, to the Holocaust of the Jews, to state socialism (“Nazi” = “National Socialist”), and to the worst side of the pre-1970s Democratic Party.
The sentiments expressed by the Nazi ralliers in Charlottesville are indefensible and should be roundly condemned.
They also have nothing to do with the conservative right in America, or with the Republican Party or Donald Trump. They emphatically have nothing to do with what America represents, or the soul and spirit that unify the American people.
There are other things to say about Charlottesville, and heaven knows we will hear all of them in the coming days. I’ll address just a few here.

It has take me a while to figure out how to word what I want to say.
First I am glad that J.E. is calling them White Supremacists instead of White Nationalists, the latter term says they are whites that are patriots, which tars the entire Patriot movement with the sin of White Supremacy. Which is probable what the Propaganda Media and leftist Propaganda pushers intend.
Second just about everyone including FOX News is blaming the White thugs for all of the violence and damage but in many ways they were the victims of leftist attacks on their rights. And the Police who didn’t keep the two groups separate and then stopped the legal white rally (they had permits to hold their rally) but allot the illegal Antifa protest (they had no permit for their
riotdemonstration/protest and if events followed their normal routine were the ones who started the violence. If you take a White Supremacist who isn’t too stable in the first place and then allow people he/she hates deprive them of their First Amendment rights you can expect that eventually they are going to strike out violently against those they think are persecuting them. Which is what the left wants, they have been fomenting a race war for decades but their efforts increased by several orders of magnitude during the Obama years. They have been wanting a race war for years and it looks like they have gotten their wish. We can expectriotsprotests in a lot of big cities until the weather turns cold. The students are going back to school and the radical professors will be pushing forriotsprotests from their students.The big questions are will ISIS and Hezbollah join in the festivities?

DOJ launches civil rights investigation into deadly attack in Charlottesville

Following confirmation that a car plowed through a group of antifa protesters on Saturday leaving one dead and 19 injured, Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a statement announcing that the DOJ is launching civil rights investigation into the violence that erupted at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville:
The violence and deaths in Charlottesville strike at the heart of American law and justice. When such actions arise from racial bigotry and hatred, they betray our core values and cannot be tolerated. I have talked with FBI Director Chris Wray, FBI agents on the scene, and law enforcement officials for the state of Virginia. The FBI has been supporting state and local authorities throughout the day. U.S. Attorney Rick Mountcastle has commenced a federal investigation and will have the full support of the Department of Justice. Justice will prevail.
The FBI’s Richmond Field Office is also joining the investigation into the “deadly vehicular incident”
The driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old James Alex Fields, Jr. from Ohio, is being held on murder charges, but it’s unclear whether authorities will deem the incident a terror attack.
National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster declared Sunday morning that the incident was definitely an act of terror.

One of the many great takeaways from the show “Seinfeld” was the notion of regifting. Regifting — repackaging and repurposing a present you don’t like — is what countless numbers of us reportedly do each Christmas with the fruitcake we receive. (Off topic, I love fruitcake, and if any of you get one that you don’t want this coming Christmas, don’t hesitate to regift it to me.)
The reactions to yesterday’s violent standoff in Charlottesville have not been confined to verbal condemnations. Last night, hordes of liberals took to the streets of at least three major U.S. cities — Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Oakland — to do what liberals do best: march and/or block traffic. These people were reprotesting.
The protests to counter the initially peaceful assembly in Virginia of white supremacists, neo-Nazis, skinheads, and assorted other misfits under the banner Unite the Right rally had already taken place. As happens all too often when immovable forces meet head-on, the clash ended in deadly violence that, as of this morning, had claimed not one but three lives.
To borrow a phrase from the collected public orations of Maryland state attorney Marilyn Mosby, I have heard their “calls for [sic] no justice, no peace.” We all have. Repeatedly. We heard them yesterday in Charlottesville even before a lunatic plowed his car into a crowd of counter-protesters, killing one and sending dozens more to the hospital.

P.S. a few things appear to be clear: the protest was heavily infiltrated by Soros actors portraying Nazis. (Note the various ‘uniforms’ of specific segments of the protesters.)
The permit had been granted for the protest, then pulled at the last minute.
Antifa and BLM had blocked all but one approach to the park where the protesters were now told to leave immediately or be arrested.
The police barred that last approach and started marching, with shields up, towards the peaceful protesters, forcing them into the Antifa and BLM hoards waiting for them.
Antifa used balloons filled with urine and feces, boards with nails in them, pepper spray and some other toxic chemical, the BLM had bats.
The car that plowed into the crowd had been attacked and hit by a baseball bat just prior to losing control and plowing into the crowd.
There appears to have been significant co-ordination between some of the highest offices in Virginia, the Mayor’s office and the leftist Soros terrorist groups – Sessions investigation will focus on email communication between these groups.

The events that unfolded in Charlottesville, Virginia this Saturday were tragic, hateful, insidious, and even deadly. Saturday will go down in history as the day America’s hate reared its ugly face and proved to the world that this country is being divided – to be conquered. Adding fuel to the fire of hatred and violence were politicians who told police not to intervene and allowed the unchecked carnage to unfold before their eyes.
The stand down was confirmed by the ACLU who quoted a police source saying, “We’ll not intervene until given command to do so.”

Former National Security Advisor Susan Rice acknowledged last week that America’s policies regarding North Korea’s nuclear-weapons program over the last three administrations had failed. She said, rightly, “You can call it a failure. I accept that characterization of the efforts of the United States over the last two decades.”
Former Vice President Al Gore said much the same. They should know. They served under President Bill Clinton, who started things rolling downhill with the Agreed Framework of 1994. This misbegotten deal provided Pyongyang 500,000 tons of heavy fuel oil annually and two light-water nuclear reactors in exchange for the North’s promise to abandon its nuclear-weapons efforts.
Pyongyang violated its promise before the ink was dry. In 1999, former Secretary of State James Baker denounced Clinton’s approach as “a policy of appeasement.” Baker’s characterization also applies to much of the subsequent U.S. diplomacy. North Korea has always been willing to promise to abandon its nuclear ambitions to get tangible economic benefits. It just never gets around to honoring its commitments.
Given Kim’s threat I don’t know if there is time for this to work, if Kim fires the missiles towards Guam we will have no choice but to respond with a massive strike against the entire North Korean military. If we attack the only way we can be assured we have taken out all of the nuclear weapons is to seize the entire nation and search all of the seized territory for all types of WMDs/

Trump, who made improving veterans care a central campaign promise, signed the VA Choice and Quality Employment Act while at his New Jersey golf club on Saturday. The bill, which addresses a budget shortfall at the Department of Veteran Affairs that threatened medical care for thousands of veterans, provides $2.1 billion to continue funding the Veterans Choice Program, which allows veterans to seek private care.
Another $1.8 billion will go to core VA health programs, including 28 leases for new VA medical facilities.

“CLOTHES labelled “Made in China” are being produced in North Korea and exported across the world, say factory owners and traders.
Chinese textile firms based in the border town of Dandong are taking advantage of cheaper labour next door in North Korea, spurred by the fact that the latest round of UN sanctions do not cover textile exports.
All factories in North Korea are state-owned and with workers being paid between around US$75 and $160 per month, compared with $450-$750 in China. Garments from these factories are allegedly unknowingly being sold to buyers from the United States, Japan, South Korea and Europe.
“We take orders from all over the world,” a Korean-Chinese businessman in Dandong told Reuters, who said North Korean workers can produce 30 percent more garments each day than their Chinese counterparts because they are denied toilet breaks.
“We will ask the Chinese suppliers who work with us if they plan on being open with their client — sometimes the final buyer won’t realise their clothes are being made in North Korea. It’s extremely sensitive.”
Textiles were North Korea’s second largest export in 2016 after coal and other minerals. UN sanctions have now completely banned coal exports, while the seafood trade on the China-North Korea border has also drastically declined.
Foreign minister Wang Yi said last week that China would pay the greatest price for UN sanctions on North Korea due to its economic ties with the pariah state, however that Beijing was prepared to do so for the sake of world peace.
The sanctions also ban countries from increasing current numbers of foreign North Korean workers, many of whom are already employed in Dandong’s factories…”

“Two men in their twenties suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting at a Malmö community centre on Sunday morning.
The shooting took place in Föreningarnas hus, a community centre in the Sofielund neighbourhood in Malmö, shortly before 6am on Sunday.
Two men, aged around 20 and 25, suffered life-threatening injuries, while a teenage boy was mildly injured.
A big party was being held on the premises at the time of the incident, which according to local newspaper Sydsvenskan began with a fight between at least two people.
After the fight, an uninvited man entered the premises holding a gun in the air.
“He held up the weapon and shouted ‘Who hit my brother?’, then he started shooting ferociously in the room,” a woman attending the party told Sydsvenskan.
Witnesses told Sydsvenskan people on the dance floor were hit by the shots. One person was reportedly hit in the chest, and according to a male witness the shooter fired five or six shots.
“I’m terrified, I don’t get if this is a film or if it’s actually happening,” he told Sydsvenskan.
Police officers have been stationed outside the A&E at Malmö University Hospital as a routine precaution. No arrests have yet been made.”

Meanwhile the center-left, which usually supports these anti-racist efforts, has become more silent in order not to lose fringe voters…”
