  2. Here we have a post modernist using personal attacks, out of context, unsubstantiated assertions, and outright lies to discredit Dr. Jordan Peterson. However I am grateful to the writer for revealing to us what exactly an academic criticism of our favourite renegade professor looks like.

    I wonder if, when Stuart Chambers looks in the mirror, does he see his own image? Because sucking the lifeblood out of unsuspecting minds must make this vampire of our education system utterly translucent.

      • Soldiers are use to their political masters giving away the victory they have fought for, they are use to going into battle with equipment that was purchased from a vendor that is friends with one of the politicians. Eventually they will get tired of this and either leave the service or if they think their civilian friends and family will be killed if they quit they will revolt.

        How close are the British Tommy’s to quiting or revolting?

          It reads like soldiers coming back from Vietnam – some in pieces – and being called baby-killers by college draft-dodgers.

          I’m just hoping law enforcement recruiters are screening for duplicitous tards. The armed forces, too. Some are bound to get in. These, together with those who’ve trained in tard-lands, will present serious challenges.

          • Human nature hasn’t changed (if it does we will no longer be human) and to a large extent the enemies we are fighting haven’t changed so all of Kipling’s works are pretty much timeless. A hundred years from now soldiers and students of societal changes will read his works and recognize events and attitudes. The Spartans at Thermopylae would fit in any Army that I have read about, They would have fit in at the Alamo (although 600 extra might have changed the outcome) just as the soldiers that Kipling wrote about would recognize and understand the current crop of soldiers. I get along well with the modern vets although I don’t understand why they have tattoos and in some cases ear rings.

    Paris (AFP) – A 55-year-old village mayor was arrested on Saturday for allegedly attacking a prominent French right-wing parliamentary candidate while she was out campaigning.

    Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, a flamboyant 44-year-old candidate for the Republicans party, was canvassing for votes at a Paris market on Thursday when a man called her a “stupid bobo” — a blend of hipster and bourgeois — and shoved her leaflets in her face, causing her to fall.

    The former environment minister blacked out for several minutes before being rushed to hospital.

    Vincent Debraize — mayor of Champignolles, a small village in Normandy in northern France — denied he had verbally or physically assaulted her, Kosciusko-Morizet’s lawyer Xavier Autain told AFP.

    Debraize was placed in custody for “intentional violence against a person conducting public services”, according to Autain.

    “It is a serious attack on an elected member of the Republicans and I hope for a fitting response from the judiciary,” he added.

      • The Founding Fathers tried to break that cycle with a written Constitution that is hard to change, the left thinks they have found a war around that and are working to institute the Marxist Tyranny that has failed in every nation it has ever been tried in. The Jury is still out on our being able to bring the Republic back and stop the tyranny, we will know what is in the future for the nation by the time Donald Trump is out of office. Another sign is will the grass roots Republicans get enough states to call for a Constitutional Convention, if we can get Mark Levin’s Liberty Amendments passed out of the convention and then will enough states vote them into the Constitution. This and having a President that will enforce the new Amendments are the surest way to see the Republic return, the physical fight with the urban guerrilla war the left has fomented is simply buying time to get the Constitution changed to remove the political power the left craves.

      • I read the whole article. A most bleak assessment, a total downer.
        Most of us have flashes of anger these days. I’d like to- [redacted – to avoid the Countering Violent Extremism nazis] that Central Park assassination-outfit, CNN-WaPo-NYT, etc.

        And I’m fighting pessimism on account of certain appointments and the policy trends they portend.

        But Nyquist seems to have surrendered completely. He’s too good for that – he should exercise better discipline, take a walk and think twice before pushing “send”.

        • I have pretty much given up on Civilization surviving, freedom is another thing. I still think that in the long run the US will remain free but will probably change back into something like it was in the 19th Century. I am not sure how much of the rule of law and a single tiered legal system we will have. One thing I am sure of is that we will not lose high tech, in fact will will grow higher during the war and Dark Age.

    Robert Mueller, special counsel for the inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, has assembled a small but lethal task force of prosecutors for the monumental task of investigating President Donald Trump.

    A spate of new hires by the special counsel has concentrated the country’s top prosecutorial talent in Mueller’s small Washington office, a savvy and relentless bunch more than one legal commentator has dubbed a “dream team.”

    Mueller’s most important hire to date is Deputy Solicitor General Michael Dreeben, who is something of a legend among court-watchers. Dreeben is a criminal appellate law expert who has argued over 100 cases before the Supreme Court, often without notes. He is widely considered one of the best attorneys in the Department of Justice. What’s more, Dreeben has served in administrations of both parties, making him an ecumenical figure at this fractious moment in the Justice Department.

    Writing at Lawfare, Bush-era Department of Homeland Security veteran Paul Rosenzweig pronounced Dreeben’s hiring “the worst thing that happened to Donald Trump this week.”

    “[H]e is quite possibly the best criminal appellate lawyer in America (at least on the government’s side),” he wrote. “That Mueller has sought his assistance attests both to the seriousness of his effort and the depth of the intellectual bench he is building.”

  8. James Comey: America’s girlfriend in the hot seat

    The pop analysis of James Comey and his internal dramas in encounters with other public officials –e.g., the president – continues.

    Most men, in writing or speaking about their recollections of professional encounters, tend to avoid the overtly emotional, or levels of detail that serve mainly to illuminate their own interior dialogues. Not Mr. Comey.

    Comey doesn’t just record these interior eruptions. He turns them over for inspection, and incorporates them into explanations of his motives and decision-making.

    This seems to be because he wants to make the case that someone else drove him to do things. (There’s also the possibility that he just enjoys self-dramatization. Maybe he’ll strike off into fiction-writing with his new-found leisure time. His style is spare, which is a point in his favor.)

    My initial grimace-face moment on Comey’s diary-keeping came when his friend Benjamin Wittes explained that Comey wanted to hide himself against the drapes during a ceremony in the White House’s Blue Room. The 6’8’’ Comey, wearing a blue suit, hoped to escape Trump’s notice by blending in with the décor.

      • Comey went into the office hating the President, Trump on the other hand tried to be friends. Can anything be clearer? Comey was and is out to destroy Donald Trump. The Deep State has been ignoring the people for so long they are finding it impossible to understand that the people have had enough to the leftwing elitism that has taken rights and freedom from the people who are suppose to be running the government.         James Comey is not old school. He’s to Eliot Ness as the original Batman was to the original Superman. The latter openly fought for truth, justice, and the American way because he wanted to give back to the planet that had given him a home. The former was a confused vigilante, motivated by the dark desire to revenge his parents’ deaths at the hands of bad guys.

        Comey is Petula Clark singing “Feelings.” In his Senate testimony he described how his duties caused him “a whole lot of personal pain.” He was often “confused and concerned” about things, sometimes even “honestly concerned.” More than the facts, he spoke of his “impression,” “reading,” and “sense” of the facts. Something Loretta Lynch asked him to do “gave [him] a queasy feeling.”

        That’s not how Joe Friday talked on “Dragnet.” Or Clint Eastwood. When Clint shot a bad guy, all he felt was a slight pressure on his trigger finger.

        • Richard: I hadn’t though of Comey as a girly man but J.E. and Esther Goldberg on PJ Media do a real good job of portraying him as a girly man who thinks he was harassed by a stalker.

          I wonder how much of this is the real Comey and how much is an act to destroy a man that Deep State Comey thinks will damage or destroy the Deep States and give the people back rights that the Deep State have raped from them? Either way it shows Comey as someone without the balls courage to tell the truth.

            • Real good point, I have to remember to use soy boy instead of girly man. We need to take control of the language used instead of using the lefts terms, forcing them to defend their terms instead of us using them will do a lot to help the fight for freedom.

    “Jimmie Åkesson, leader of the populist Sweden Democrats (SD) party, was interrupted twice as he spoke to a hostile crowd at the Järvaveckan cross-party political forum on Saturday.

    Åkesson, who claimed in his speech to support immigration, also said that immigrants must understand how Swedish society works, reports news agency TT.

    The SD party leader was initially interrupted shortly after beginning his speech by people in the crowd shouting “Jimmie, racist” and other slogans, according to the report.

    “I think one theme is democracy and an important part of democracy is dialogue. To be able to talk to each other without using ugly words and yelling and instead showing respect for each other’s opinions,” Åkesson said after resuming his speech.

    He was interrupted a second time a few minutes later.

    The Sweden Democrats leader was also met with applause when he said that another important part of democracy was that “you do not have to listen”.

    A recent opinion poll from Sweden’s largest statistics agency suggests that the anti-immigration Sweden Democrats have taken the lead over the opposition Moderate Party as Sweden’s second-largest political party.

    The party, which has roots in the neo-Nazi movements of the 1990s, has an official zero-tolerance approach to racism.

    But several elected Sweden Democrat politicians have been forced to vacate their seats over anti-Semitic or racist statements over the years.

    In his Järvaveckan speech, Åkesson addressed people living in the Järva area, asking who in the audience was born abroad.

    Most of those in the crowd did not appear to have ethnic minority backgrounds.

    “You must make an effort, you must learn the language, you must understand how Swedish society works, you must understand social codes, you must be able to support yourselves. That way we can build a cohesive Sweden again,” Åkesson said.

    The Sweden Democrats should not be perceived by immigrants as a party that wants to “eat your children”, he added, and tried to explain to crowds why they should vote for his party.

    “It is very wise [to vote for SD]. It is no wonder that if you are living in areas where there is organised crime then your everyday life is restricted. Is it wrong, then, to turn to the party that wants to fight these negative trends in society? I don’t think so,” he said.

    Nationalist party leader Åkesson went on to claim that he supports immigration.

    “I support immigration. Sweden has always had immigration. And when it is up to me, we will still have immigration in this country. That’s the way it is. But that doesn’t mean we should have uncontrolled immigration. On the contrary. We must take responsibility. We must have responsible politics,” he said.

    “As a nationalist, I see it as my primary task to bridge the gaps that exist,” he added.”

    Saudi Arabian sent war planes to Turkey’s Incirlik air force base in February 2016 as part of an anti-Daesh campaign.

    On Friday evening, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman received at Safa Palace in Makkah Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

    During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and discussed developments in the region.

    Meanwhile, a US Consulate in Turkey has alerted its citizens of heightened security in an Istanbul neighborhood because of a possible terror threat.

    The statement released late Friday said the Turkish security presence was increased in the central district of Mecidiyekoy and cited a specific street. It said the consulate didn’t have additional information on the specifics of the threat and asked American citizens to remain vigilant.

    Turkey’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement Saturday saying “US authorities made this statement based on normal precautions taken by our security forces rather than any concrete intelligence.”

    The US issues security messages and travel warnings throughout the world to inform its citizens of threats and protests. The US Embassy and consulates in Turkey issued at least 22 such messages this year.”

    He informed that GSP plus status has not only increased trade relations activities but also it is a tool for supporting positive change in Pakistan.”

    (reuters) — The attack, claimed by the Taliban, began around 6:30 a.m. (0200 GMT) when one bomber detonated a car packed with explosives at the gate of the police headquarters in Gardez city, capital of Paktia province, said Najib Danish, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry.

    Four more attackers stormed the gate after the blast, with at least two quickly killed by police. The others held out against Afghan special forces that had responded to the attack, he said.
    Danish put the toll at two police killed and five wounded.

    However, doctors at the city hospital said they had received the bodies of at least five police, as well as at least 30 wounded people, including 20 civilians.

    The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, with spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid reporting more than 100 police were killed and wounded. The Islamist group often exaggerates casualty numbers in attacks against government targets and security forces.”

    “A former commander of the Taliban group who has joined peace process in eastern Nangarhar province has admitted that the group’s leaders are based in the neighboring Pakistan.

    The provincial government in a statement said a group of Taliban insurgents joined peace process due to the efforts of the Afghan intelligence operatives and have vowed that they will not conduct anti-government activities anymore.

    The leader of the group Abdul Wahab who has surrendered to the government with his four fighters has said they were conducting insurgency in Khogyani, Shirzad, Hesarak, Chaparhar and some other districts of Nangarhar since last eight years.

    Wahab claimed that the group’s top leaders are based in Pakistan and they were receiving instructions from them to conduct insurgency activities.

    Another member of the group Wahidullah who joined peace process has said he joined the Taliban ranks six years ago and during the period they were receiving instructions from the Pakistan-based leaders of the group to conduct insurgency.

    Accoridng ot Wahidullah, they were mainly instructed to target the schools, bridges, culverts and other public welfare compounds.

    The Taliban insurgents group has not commented regarding the surrender of the group’s fighters in this province so far.”

    One of the detainees said that he has been in the detention center for a year and that he is beaten on a daily basis.

    His statement was recorded by a Somali journalist in Turkey.

    The relatives of the detainees often receive short video footage through social media of their loved ones. The recordings are means to extract a ransom that could reach as much as 10,000 dollars for the release of the migrant.

  32. GERMANY STUTTGART AIRPORT – Two men detained in Stuttgart airport after bomb scare

    Two unidentified men have been detained at Stuttgart airport over an alleged terrorist threat, German media have reported. All flights were temporarily canceled.

    German media reports say several passengers began arguing and one accused the other of having planned an attack on the plane.

    “During the routine departure check-out, a passenger told us that another passenger had threatened a bombing operation on the aircraft,” said a spokesman of the Federal Police to the German media outlet WELT.

    “In view of the global political situation and the way in which the passenger met us, we had to take the threat seriously,” he said.

    If one traveler deliberately wrongfully accused the other, this is a “bad joke” and the perpetrator could face a fine, the spokesman concluded, as cited by Bild.

    After the evacuation of the plane, policemen with specially trained dogs searched the Bulgaria Air aircraft, which was supposed to leave for Varna. Security also searched the passengers’ luggage, according to the media,

    Stuttgart airport temporarily canceled all arrivals and departures due to the incident, but the situation has returned to normal.

    Federal police have said the two detained men may be able to continue their flight, “depending on the course of the investigation,” while the other passengers will fly to Bulgaria during the course of the day.

    “A Turkish prosecutor says 731 soldiers at a western base were sent to the hospital with food poisoning and 21 people from the company that provided the food have been detained.

    Akif Celattin Simsek, the lead prosecutor in Manisa province, said Sunday an investigation was launched with samples taken from the affected soldiers, the food and the water. None of those hospitalized late Saturday was in critical condition.

    Defense Minister Fikri Isik, who went to Manisa, said the ministry had cancelled the contract with the food company. The governor’s office said 24 soldiers remain hospitalized Sunday afternoon.

    There have been several cases of suspected food poisoning at military bases in Manisa, affecting more than 1,000 soldiers and killing one in May.”

    A court in Hanover has handed suspended sentences to six members of a Kurdish clan who seriously wounded two dozen police officers during a violent rampage in Hameln. The court’s ruling was greeted with anger and derision by police who said it is yet another example of the laxity of Germany’s politically correct judicial system.

    The case goes back to January 2014, when a 26-year-old clan member, arrested for robbery, tried to escape from the magistrate’s office by jumping out of a seventh-floor courtroom window. The suspect was taken to the hospital, where he died. Members of his clan subsequently ransacked the hospital, as well as the court, and attacked police with rocks and other projectiles; 24 police officers and six paramedics were injured.

    The judge said he was lenient because the defendants witnessed the death of the 26-year-old and were traumatized. The judge also revealed that he had reached a deal with the clan, which among other effects prevented police from testifying in court.

    Dietmar Schilff, chairman of the GdP police union in Lower Saxony, said that the ruling had left many police officers shaking their heads in disbelief: “All police forces expect protection and support from the state.” He added:

    The good news about Turkish justice is that despite 15 years of not-so-creeping Islamization, court verdicts do not yet sentence wrongdoers to public lashing, stoning, amputations or public hangings in main city squares. The bad news about the Turkish justice system is that it is increasingly religiously ideological, reminiscent of the Ottoman justice system where non-Muslims were legally inferior to the Muslims and were, in principle, expected to be constantly reminded of their inferiority to the dominant community through restrictions and markers.

    In 21st century Turkey, fortunately, there are not [yet] markers revealing non-Muslim citizens or laws discriminating against non-Muslims. Nevertheless, with or without markers, there is positive discrimination in favor of pious Muslims and against the others. Turkish law enforcement is embarrassingly pro-pious Sunni Muslim.

    Turkey, nominally, is not a Sharia state. But it is becoming one on a de facto basis. In January, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government issued a decree stipulating that law enforcement officials, including security officials, police and coast guard officers, could lose their jobs if they marry a “known adulterer.” The legislation reads that law enforcement officials cannot “intentionally marry a person who is known to be impure, or to stay in a marriage, or continue to live with such a person.” The offense is punishable by up to 24 months’ suspension from work. In addition, the decree covers stricter rules against drinking, gambling, the vague and emphatic “going to places that would ruin your reputation,” as well as “excessive spending,” all while off duty.

    At least two people have been killed at Le Campement resort in Dougourakoro, located to the east of the capital Bamako. The incident is ongoing.

    One of the dead has been identified as a French-Gabonese citizen.

    Baba Cisse of the Malian security ministry said: “The first victim was a French-Gabonese citizen. We are in the process of confirming the other’s nationality,”

    Neighbours reported hearing gunshots and seeing smoke rising from the site.

    It is believed hostages have been taken by the gunmen. Twenty have already been freed.

    Mr Cisse said: “Security forces are in place. Campement Kangaba is blocked off and an operation is under way. The situation is under control.”

    A government official said “suspected jihadists” were responsible.

    The resort is also thought to be popular with UN workers in Mali…”

  48. BOGOTA, Colombia — A homemade bomb placed in a women’s bathroom rocked one of the busiest shopping centers in Colombia’s capital Saturday, killing three people, including a French woman, and wounding nine others.

    Witnesses told of being evacuated from movie theaters and stores after the blast at the upscale Centro Andino in the heart of Bogota’s tourist district. Ambulances and firetrucks rushed to the scene and the injured were taken to a hospital, where two later died.

    Police said a potent explosive, possibly made of ammonium nitrate, had caused the destruction.
