  3. Federal judge tosses out life sentences for DC sniper Malvo

    A federal judge on Friday tossed out two life sentences for one of Virginia’s most notorious criminals, sniper Lee Boyd Malvo, and ordered Virginia courts to hold new sentencing hearings.

    In his ruling, U.S. District Judge Raymond Jackson in Norfolk said Malvo is entitled to new sentencing hearings after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that mandatory life sentences for juveniles are unconstitutional.

    Malvo was 17 when he was arrested in 2002 for a series of shootings that killed 10 people and wounded three over a three-week span in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia, causing widespread fear throughout the region.

    His accomplice, John Allen Muhammad, was executed in 2009. [NOW WHY DID THAT CRUEL INJUSTICE HAPPEN?!?]

    Malvo also was sentenced to life in prison in Maryland for the murders that occurred there. But his lawyers have made an appeal on similar grounds in that state. A hearing is scheduled in June.

  5. Yesterday I took the gang to the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. In the 15 minutes of commercials leading up to the feature there were two: You’re an Asshole if you say Anything Against Muslims segments. (I won’t use the invention “Islamophobia” if I can help it.) It is appalling propaganda being pumped into the minds of youth, this. Forget the adults. So few have been given any tools to think for themselves that they digest this garbage as automatons. Such hoards of human animals who haven’t the presence of mind to even occasionally swipe at the hand spooning them mental pablum. And it takes no great intellect to be weary of being told what to think, so on this most perfunctory level I resent such common mindlessnes. It takes only a grown-up to tell you you’re allowed, and it only has to be said once.

    While the video book on Post Modernism is long and dense, it is essential listening. As an autodidact I find it foundational, and I no longer see the world quite the same as I did. I will impart of it what I can to my children.

    Is your education at Vladtepes, and beyond, making you a pariah? I ask all in earnest. Is your social circle shrinking or expanding? Do you find your knowledge increasingly exclusionary? Do you find yourself throwing probing comments at people, like a rubber ball, to see what bounces back? Do you find yourself pleasantly surprised when you find people of like mind in unlikely facades, and a little disappointed by failed candidates you were sure were on side?

    I think the vile deconstruction tactics of Post Modernism are brilliant and effective. One must be able to point them out in order to defuse them.

    • 1) The way to make the big lie technique work is massive repetition, this gets the people who are unable to use critical thought and the young to believe the big lie. For the rest of us there is social pressure and the police.

      2) Out here in the small towns of fly over country thre isn’t much pressure to believe the lies, in the larger towns it is about 50-50.

    • If the Seth Rich murder was just an armed robbery why was the FBI looking into it? why is the mainstream media so hell uyent on shutting this story up? why is Sean Hannity being silenced for even covering the murder of Rich? There are many unanswered questions but hopefully this FBI memo can be the first step into uncovering the truth behind the murder of Seth Rich.

      In a heavily redacted memo released to me by a source within the FBI we see Seth Rich’s name. The Email states that the laptop contained DNC and Wikileaks information.

  8. State Department Employee Arrested and Charged With Concealing Extensive Contacts With Foreign Agents

    A federal complaint was unsealed today charging Candace Marie Claiborne, 60, of Washington, D.C., and an employee of the U.S. Department of State, with obstructing an official proceeding and making false statements to the FBI, both felony offenses, for allegedly concealing numerous contacts that she had over a period of years with foreign intelligence agents.

    The charges were announced by Acting Assistant Attorney General Mary B. McCord for National Security, U.S. Attorney Channing D. Phillips of the District of Columbia and Assistant Director in Charge Andrew W. Vale of the FBI’s Washington Field Office.

    “Candace Marie Claiborne is a U.S. State Department employee who possesses a Top Secret security clearance and allegedly failed to report her contacts with Chinese foreign intelligence agents who provided her with thousands of dollars of gifts and benefits,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General McCord. “Claiborne used her position and her access to sensitive diplomatic data for personal profit. Pursuing those who imperil our national security for personal gain will remain a key priority of the National Security Division.”

  9. BROOKLYN: A Lebanese man accused of trying to use his ties to Hezbollah to further a scheme to launder drug money pleaded guilty on Friday in a Brooklyn, New York federal court to a U.S. money laundering conspiracy charge.

    U.S. prosecutors said Joseph Asmar, 43, of Beirut, entered his plea at a hearing before U.S. District Judge Eric Vitaliano.

    Asmar had been arrested in Paris in October 2015, and was extradited to the United States 14 months later. He had also faced a money laundering charge.

  11. Islamist militants locked in street-to-street battles with security forces in a southern Philippine city have killed 19 civilians, the military said Sunday, bringing the official death toll from nearly a week of fighting to at least 85.

    The violence prompted the president, Rodrigo Duterte, to declare martial law on Tuesday across the southern third of the Philippines to quell what he said was a fast-growing threat of militants linked to the Islamic State group.

    Authorities said the militants had killed 19 civilians in Marawi, a mostly Muslim-populated city of 200,000 people. These included three women and a child who were found dead near a university.

    Former House of Commons speaker Andrew Scheer, 38, beat 12 other contestants in a razor-thin victory.
    He emerged as the winner on the thirteenth ballot in the leadership contest, narrowly defeating his primary rival, former foreign affairs minister Maxime Bernier, with 51% of the vote.
    Mr Scheer will lead the party against Justin Trudeau’s Liberals in 2019.

The courts are breaking our Contitution right now by writing law from the bench to match their personal liberal views. The courts do NOT have the right to write laws.       • The lack of knowledge of the Constitution is damage done by the left, every High School Student use to have to PASS a one semester class on the Constitution before they could receive a High School Diploma. The left removed this requirement so the future generations would not know what the Constitution says and why the various clauses were written into the document. This lack of knowledge allowed Bill Clinton to violate the Constitution with impunity and allowed Obama to be so open about his illegal action that only a few people bothered to object. One of the things we have to do to create a long term solution is to re-instate the teaching of the Constitution, it will take time for the students to grow into informed voters but many of the solutions to the Marxist damage to the US require a long time to take effect. The trick is going to be finding a way to stop the left from once again stopping the teaching of the Constitution and what the Citizens duties are to the state.

        If we manage to restore full Federalism to the US we will also have to teach the state Constitution so the people will know what the the State Government is allowed to do.

          • Missouri’s Constitution is from the 1940s but I don’t remember much more about it, that took up the second semester but I don’t remember much about it because there isn’t much in it that directly affects my life.

    “Community member” is the new term. Several officers say the term is offensive, explaining their work with violent suspects.

    Sources point to the suspect who shot three officers last month after a downtown Seattle armed robbery. When officers involved in that incident were writing their use of force reports they were required to refer to the shooter, Damarius Butts, as a “community member,” not a suspect, police sources said.

    New revelations have surfaced that the Obama administration abused intelligence during the election by launching a massive domestic-spy campaign that included snooping on Trump officials.

    The irony is mind-boggling: Targeting political opposition is long a technique of police states like Russia, which Team Obama has loudly condemned for allegedly using its own intelligence agencies to hack into our election.

    The revelations, as well as testimony this week from former Obama intel officials, show the extent to which the Obama administration politicized and weaponized intelligence against Americans.

    Thanks to Circa News, we now know the National Security Agency under President Barack Obama routinely violated privacy protections while snooping through foreign intercepts involving US citizens — and failed to disclose the breaches, prompting the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court a month before the election to rebuke administration officials.

    The story concerns what’s known as “upstream” data collection under Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, under which the NSA looks at the content of electronic communication. Upstream refers to intel scooped up about third parties: Person A sends Person B an e-mail mentioning Person C. Though Person C isn’t a party to the e-mail, his information will be scooped up and potentially used by the NSA.

  20. North Korea leader Kim guides test of new anti-aircraft weapon

    SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has supervised the test of a new anti-aircraft weapon system and ordered its mass production and deployment throughout the country, the state news agency reported on Sunday, after weeks of defiant ballistic missile tests.

    The North’s KCNA news agency did not report the exact nature of the weapon or the time of the test but said it was organized by the Academy of National Defence Science, a blacklisted agency that is believed to be developing missiles and nuclear weapons.

    The North has been pushing to develop a wide range of weapon systems since early last year at an unprecedented pace including a long-range missile capable of striking the mainland United States and has in recent weeks tested its intermediate-range ballistic missile, making some technical advances.

    The reclusive state rejects U.N. and unilateral sanctions by other states against its weapons program as an infringement of its right to self defense and says the program is necessary to counter U.S. aggression.

    It last conducted a ballistic missile test a week ago.

    The United States denies any intention to attack the North.

    “Kim Jong Un … watched the test of a new type of anti-aircraft guided weapon system organized by the Academy of National Defence Science,” KCNA said on Sunday.

    The only real purpose of recalling this Obama gambit from 2008 is to highlight the hypocrisy of Democrats in 2017, bewailing the suggestion that Jared Kushner, a member of Trump’s transition team, wanted to open a back channel to Russian contacts in December 2016.

    Why is that the only real purpose? Largely because the two cases are different in important ways. Partly because in neither case is there evidence of a prosecutable offense. But if you want to argue for these back-channel-opening capers as prosecutable offenses, Obama’s was worse. And that’s partly because there is credible evidence that it actually happened.

    In mid-2008, the George W. Bush administration surprised “hawkish” critics by conducting talks with representatives of the Iranian regime, the first time such contacts had been made at a senior level. The vehicle for this move was the on-again, off-again forum of “six-party (P5+1) talks” with Iran, anchored by the EU-3 and focused on deterrence of Iran’s nuclearization program.

    A Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres, MSF) ship with 1,449 migrants & refugees on board arrived in the port of Naples, Sunday, after a ten-hour long pick-up operation in the Mediterranean Sea, off Libya’s northern shoreline.

    MSF spokespersons Michele Trainiti confirmed that the ship collected 1,444 people, including “207 women on board, of which 22 pregnant, five babies and 40 children below five years of age.”

    Trainiti added that “We have been very busy delivering emergency healthcare assistance. [There are] some injured and some people who got burnt by the mix [made] of salty water and the petrol of the inflatable boats. There are many people who have suffered from torture in Libya.”

    Among those aboard were also two bodies that the humanitarian operators found on an inflatable boat floating at sea. The bodies were retrieved by Mortuary Police after docking.

    The MSF conducted the operation with the support of several Italian Coast Guard vessels, which picked up people from 12 different water vessels.

    Johannesburg – Robbers tortured a 64-year-old woman with a drill when they attacked her at her home on a farm in the Vaal area on Friday night, police said.

    Spokesperson Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini said she was attacked by three men on the farm on the Kalbasfontein road between Fochville and Carletonville.

    “They used a drill to torture her,” said Dlamini.

    Czech leader Bohuslav Sobotka added: “Cosmetic changes are needed, nothing deep like what France and Germany want.

    “We should focus on common-sense plans, those useful to our people. We are against opening up the basic treaties.

    “We should focus on borders and economic initiatives. Let’s not get dragged into negotiations among reforming Europe.

    “I do not want the conversation to disrupt the single market. We are a practical nation.”

    For his part, Donald Tusk dismissed the idea that Mr Macron’s plans were controversial.

    He added that new institutions and groups were at the heart of the European Union.

    Mr Macron, when elected, pledged to “relaunch Europe” and said that treaty change should not be taboo.

      This is totally outrageous. Hillary’s use of private servers was specifically to evade any possibility for FOIA (Freedom Of Information Act) inquiries regarding how she conducted her government business. Otherwise, why go to all the expense and trouble of setting up such private facilities? More importantly, why was it so important to rely upon private servers that lacked even modest security measures when well-structured government data centers were available at no charge?

      Generously assigning this criminal hag a benevolent motive for committing such an egregious violation of governmental ethics and security is nothing but yet another layer of whitewash being applied to this monumental affront to all American.
