2. Turkish passenger tries to breach cockpit on Honolulu-bound flight

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) –

An American Airlines crew and off-duty Honolulu police officer subdued a Turkish man Friday on board a Honolulu-bound flight after he tried to break into the cockpit.

The incident prompted U.S. Pacific Command to scramble two F-22 Raptors from the Hawaii Air National Guard, which escorted the flight from Los Angeles into Honolulu International Airport about 11:35 a.m.

The man was on board AA Flight 31, which departed from Los Angeles International Airport at 8:34 a.m. local time. Sources said at LAX, the man apparently breached security and was cited, but was not detained.

3. Pentagon plans to ‘annihilate’ IS fighters

WASHINGTON (AFP) – 

President Donald Trump has instructed the Pentagon to “annihilate” the Islamic State group in Syria in a bid to prevent escaped foreign fighters from returning home, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Friday.

The move to kill as many jihadists in place as possible — rather than letting them exit a city and targeting them as they flee — reflects an increased urgency to stop battle-hardened jihadists bringing their military expertise and ideology back to European capitals and other areas.

The president has “directed a tactical shift from shoving ISIS out of safe locations in an attrition fight to surrounding the enemy in their strongholds so we can annihilate ISIS,” Mattis said, using an acronym for IS.

4. Indian preacher (wanted for terror offences) granted Saudi citizenship

Indian Islamic preacher, Dr Zakir Naik, who is wanted by authorities in Delhi for alleged terrorist offences, has been granted citizenship by Saudi Arabia.

Arab sources reported that King Salman had intervened to grant Naik Saudi citizenship to protect him from arrest by the International Police Organisation, Interpol.

Last month, Indian courts issued a second arrest warrant for Dr Naik in connection with his alleged role in a terror-related case and over money laundering allegations. Naik, who was on tour at the time, decided not to return to India and remained in Malaysia where permanent residency status was granted to him five years ago by the Malaysian government.

  1. That the DNC has not posted a single cent of reward money to apprehend or convict the killer of Seth Rich tells this entire story.

    Please correct me if I am wrong.

    • Your not wrong, just as the timing of the accusations of obstruction of Justice tells the whole story, that BS was released to take people’s attention of Seth Rich.

    • It appears that hanging around with serial killers is less dangerous than crossing paths with the Clintons.
