Race vs Class: The New Dem Civil War
Fight white men or Wall Street?
The Democrats have ended their unity tour more divided than ever. Unlike Republican quarrels, their war is mostly ignored by the media. And yet it will define what the left and its plan to take over the country will look like.
When Hillary lost, she didn’t just lose the White House. She also lost the DNC. Her loyalists, already discredited for their brazen tampering to disenfranchise Sanders supporters, had to make way for Obama’s people. The Clinton legacy is over. The Dems belong to Obama now.
Or do they?
When Obama inherited the DNC from the Clintons, he also inherited their bitter enemy.
Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders are the leaders of the two sides in the Dem civil war. The shots are already being fired. As usual, they are coming from the insurgent Sandernistas.
Keith Ellison, Bernie’s man to take over the DNC, fired the first shot, blaming Barack for Dem losses.
“Obama could have been a better party leader, and I think that the fact that he wasn’t, has put his legacy in jeopardy,” he charged. “We lost a lot of state House seats, governorships, secretaries of states… he can’t say that he wasn’t part of those losses. I mean, who else?”

Police in Bangladesh said on Tuesday they had arrested the IT chief of a banned militant Islamist group that has been blamed for the killing of several secular bloggers and gay rights activists. The suspected militant, identified as Ashfaqur Rahman, worked as the IT head of the al Qaeda-inspired militant group Ansarullah Bangla Team, the chief of Bangladesh’s counter-terrorism police, Monirul Islam, told a news conference.

Emergency crews are on the scene in downtown Ottawa as buildings are being evacuated for a reported gas leak.
Initial reports are that the leak was caused by a construction crew hitting a gas line in the area. It is not clear yet where exactly the line was hit, but a construction site on Queen Street between Metcalfe and O’Connor appears to be the focus of the emergency crews, according to our reporter on the scene.
Ottawa paramedics say no injuries have been reported so far.
Italy: Migrants evicted as police break up makeshift camp in Milan
Scores of migrants were taken away in police vans in Milan, Tuesday, as part of a large police crackdown on a makeshift migrant camp erected in a square in front of the city’s central rail station.
The police reportedly used sniffer dogs during the search operation. The migrants were ordered to get rid of all sharp objects as they were forced onto police vans after being stringently searched. The nearby Piazza Duca d’Aosta station was shut down, and the station was guarded by dozens of police officers.
The arrival of the migrants follows a wave of people, many from conflict zones, trying to enter Italy and other southern European states from Northern Africa, a journey which costs each migrant thousands of euros and can be severely dangerous.

Abedin Emails Show Clinton Foundation-State Department Haiti Links
(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released 894 pages of new State Department documents, including previously unreleased email exchanges in which former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was sent additional classified information through her unsecure clintonmail.com email account by top aide Huma Abedin. The Abedin emails also include repeated instances of Clinton’s detailed daily schedules being sent to top Clinton Foundation officials at unsecured email addresses.
The records were produced for Judicial Watch by the State Department from the non-state.gov email accounts of Abedin. The records were obtained in response to a court order from a May 5, 2015, lawsuit filed against the State Department (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:15-cv-00684)) after it failed to respond to a March 18, 2015, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking:
All emails of official State Department business received or sent by former Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin from January 1, 2009 through February 1, 2013 using a non-“state.gov” email address.
UCLA: Coddling Hamas on Campus While Trampling the First Amendment
Supporting terrorist propaganda on the taxpayer’s dime.
May 2, 2017
Sara Dogan
Last night, the Freedom Center placed posters exposing the links between SJP and Hamas terrorists on the UCLA campus. UCLA administrators such as Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Jerry Kang have previously labeled similar Freedom Center posters “ethnic slander” and an effort to “trigger racially-tinged fear.” These posters pose a challenge to the UCLA administration to abandon these attacks on speech that exposes the truth about SJP and its ties to terrorism, and to fulfill its constitutional obligation to uphold the First Amendment on campus.
University of California-Los Angeles: Jerry Kang, Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and Gene Block, Chancellor:
UCLA Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Jerry Kang has undergone extreme intellectual and political contortions in defending the UCLA chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) as “an officially recognized student organization, based on political commitments, that is also in good standing” despite SJP’s constant manifestation of Jew hatred on the Los Angeles campus.

Portland Leftists Celebrate Communist Holiday by Throwing Molotov Cocktails at Cops
May 2, 2017

How do you celebrate a Communist holiday? By trying to murder police officers.
If only we had a Communist dictatorship and abolished elections, this sort of thing could no longer happen. Also a Communist supporter of a mass murdering ideology gets to teach kindergarteners. If Josh Elsm were toting around a Nazi flag, he wouldn’t have that job for long. But it’s still okay to support Communist genocide.
Meanwhile the Commies did their part to smash capitalism. At least those parts of it they could reach.

Russia: FSB arrests five suspects with alleged links to IS in Tver
Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) released footage, Tuesday, showing the arrest of five alleged Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) supporters in the western Russian city of Tver.
During the raid on the suspects’ flat, FSB officers seized several bank cards as well as cheques for cash transactions. The suspects are thought to have been responsible of collecting and sending money to IS militants.
North Korean Crisis Continues to Sizzle
While tensions rise, the Iran connection is overlooked.

North Korea continues to hold the foreign policy crisis spotlight. The rogue regime tested yet another missile on Saturday, which failed like the previous attempted launch. Unbowed, North Korea threatened to carry out a nuclear test “at any time and at any location” its leaders choose to do so. “The DPRK’s measures for bolstering the nuclear force to the maximum will be taken in a consecutive and successive way at any moment and any place decided by its supreme leadership,” a spokesman for the North Korean foreign ministry declared, using the acronym for the regime’s formal name, the Democratic Republic of Korea. When President Trump was asked during his “Face the Nation” interview, which aired on Sunday, how he would react to a sixth nuclear test by North Korea, he replied, “I would not be happy.” In response to a follow-up question whether being unhappy meant “military action,” President Trump, as usual, kept his options open. “I don’t know. I mean, we’ll see,” he said.
The weekend drama followed an open ministerial level meeting of the United Nations Security Council last Friday on the North Korean situation, presided over by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Secretary Tillerson made clear that all options remained on the table, including military action if necessary. However, the bulk of his address was devoted to urging all members of the international community to tighten the economic and diplomatic screws on North Korea in order to increase its isolation.

Israeli Experts Claim Iran and North Korea Working On Nuclear Warheads
… will substantially facilitate the advancement of nuclear weapons …By Yochanan Visser
ran is using its strategic relationship with North Korea to advance its nuclear weapon program, two Israeli experts of the Begin Sadat Center revealed in a study published Tuesday.
Lt. Col. (ret.) Dr. Refael Ofek and Lt. Col. (res.) Dr. Dany Shoham say that Iran is circumventing the restrictions on its nuclear program under the nuclear agreement with the P5+1 countries by collaborating with North Korea on missile development and modifying missiles for nuclear weapons.
They also work together on programs meant to upgrade gas centrifuges for uranium enrichment, the Israeli experts claim.

September 2015 –
How Italy’s Cara Mineo became a refugee ghetto
Armed guards patrol the perimeter of Italy’s biggest migrant centre, the focus of a fierce debate over whether the country should open large “hotspot” camps to process new arrivals and stem the flow of people across the continent.
The grisly murder of a local couple and subsequent arrest of an Ivory Coast man from the Sicilian centre sparked an outcry in a country tired of being on the frontline of Europe’s largest refugee crisis since World War II.
The vast complex, a former US military base with streets evoking American suburbia, currently shelters just over 3,000 asylum seekers – down from nearly 4,000 in the past, but still too many, critics demanding its closure say.
“How do you control 4,000 migrants? The centre becomes a town in itself, which doesn’t help integration,” said Anna Aloisi, mayor of the nearby town of Mineo, perched high above the centre.
Beyond 10-foot razor wire fences, migrants divided by ethnicity and religion live in 403 yellow and pink houses, sleeping several to a room on foam mattress, eating in the canteen or cooking over small electric stoves in their back gardens.
The community is cut off from the rest of the world: for miles around, there is nothing but fields, orange groves, dust.
“There’s talk of prostitution, of drug trafficking, there is certainly a lively black market,” Angela Lupo, a legal adviser for the Italian Council for Refugees (CIR) told AFP.
“The residents sell clothes, food, cigarettes and phonecards at bazaars dotted around the centre, there’s even an illicit restaurant and a migrant-run taxi service. The controls are few and far between,” she said.
Adawiah, a 23-year-old from Ghana who filed his request for asylum nearly 12 months ago, pleaded to be released from the limbo he lives in: “We make the life we can, we have a message for Italy, ‘You must do more, quickly, please.'”
Fear, jealousy, anger
Revelations that organised crime groups had infiltrated the centre’s management left the government red-faced and minister Maria Elena Boschi promised parliament this week the camp was under review and closure was an option.
Countries such as Britain, France and Germany have urged the EU to set up further centres in Italy and Greece to fingerprint migrants and help separate asylum-seekers fleeing war from those motivated by economic reasons.
European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker this week detailed a plan under which Italy would open five so-called hotspots in its southern regions. But critics say human rights are at risk and the big camp model is not the answer.
“Mineo is a town of 5,000 people, but many of them are elderly and there are few youngsters. So the arrival of coloured migrants, all of them young, who hang around doing nothing, often make the townsfolk afraid,” said mayor Aloisi, a member of Italy’s New Centre Right party.
Elderly men sitting on benches in the town’s cobbled square watch silently as Nigerians and Gambians barely out of their teens stroll past to a betting shop. Residents of the centre get 2.50 euro ($2.80) a day pocket money.
Maurizio Nalfo, a local who works for the forestry service but has not been paid in months, said the asylum seekers weren’t seen as the problem by residents, “It’s politics which creates the disparity between Italians and migrants.”
It’s a familiar tale, echoed across recession-hit Italy. “The citizens see the migrants are taken care of, have a hot meal, a roof over their heads, when they struggle to have a hot meal themselves, it sparks jealousies, anger,” Aloisi said.
The centre’s director Sebastiano Maccarrone, 51, who previously worked at the infamous reception centre on the island of Lampedusa – closed in 2013 due to the dire conditions inside – insisted he has everything under control.
But CIR says many residents see little of the services which state funding should ensure – Italian lessons, legal help, medical care – and can only play football while waiting for their paperwork to be handled, which can take two years.
As the crisis intensified across Europe, Pope Francis called last week for Christian parishes to take in refugees — a sentiment applauded by those in favour of doing away with unwieldy centres, as well as the migrants themselves.
“We don’t have job, we don’t do anything, we stay all day in the camp,” said Nigerian Bright Aghama, 31, a regular at the centre’s church, which has been situated some distance from the site’s makeshift mosque.
Bright, who has been in the centre for over a year, said despite the daily struggle with boredom and uncertainty over the future, he was grateful for “a place where I can lay my head, where I can have peace of mind.”

“Turkey has turned its back on joining the European Union, at least for now, the bloc’s top official dealing with Ankara said, offering economic cooperation instead if both sides can restore friendly ties.
After years of stalemate on Turkey’s bid to join the world’s biggest trading bloc, EU governments say the process is dead, citing President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an’s crackdown on dissidents, his “Nazi” jibes at Germany and a referendum giving him sweeping new powers that a rights group says lack checks and balances.
“Everybody’s clear that, currently at least, Turkey is moving away from a European perspective,” European Commissioner Johannes Hahn, who oversees EU membership bids, told Reuters.
“The focus of our relationship has to be something else,” he said in an interview after EU foreign ministers met in Malta and where France and Germany led efforts to consider a new deal with Ankara based on trade and security ties.
“We have to see what could be done in the future, to see if we can restart some kind of cooperation,” Hahn said on April 29, saying that he had not had meetings on the economy with NATO-member Turkey since January last year, normally a fixture of accession talks.
The EU process is not formally frozen, but EU lawmakers called last week for a formal halt to talks, with some saying Turkey no longer met the democratic criteria to be considered a candidate, let alone a full member, for the EU…”

According to the sources quoted by the local news outlet, Bild, the victim was believed to be about 38-year-old and was killed by the fellow asylum seeker in Bavaria of Germany.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed by the authorities in Germany so far but relatives of the victim have said she was singled out by the assailant and killed with the knife.
The assailant has reportedly been arrested as the authorities are saying that an investigation is underway to ascertain the motives behind the murder.
This comes as the authorities in Germany are concerned that numerous religious extremists including members of the Taliban group have managed to arrive in Germany to seek asylum.

EXCLUSIVE: UKIP’s Deselected Islam Critic says Nuttall ‘Not Prepared to Answer Difficult Questions on Islam’ (breitbart, May 2, 2017)
http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/05/02/exclusive-ukips-deselected-islam-critic-says-leader-nuttall-not-prepared-answer-difficult-questions-islam/
“UK Independence Party leader Paul Nuttall is “not prepared to answer difficult questions on Islam,” says Anne Marie Waters, the former Lewisham East candidate for the party who was recently deselected for her criticism of the Muslim faith.
Ms. Waters, speaking exclusively to Breitbart London just ahead of the confirmation that her candidacy has been terminated, explained that she does not want to cause a fuss inside the party, and that she accepts whatever decision the UK Independence Party (UKIP) takes.
But she was also clear in her comments that the political party, which took the Brexit movement to victory in 2016, needs to adapt or face electoral consequences.
“I haven’t yet received any formal notification from the [National Executive Committee],” she said on Monday afternoon.
“I won’t cause a fuss and I accept the decision, however if there is any appeal method, I intend to use it”.
“The party needs a change in direction if it is to survive, and perhaps that change will come after the general election. [The] fact of the matter is that [party leader] Paul Nuttall is not prepared to answer difficult questions on Islam. To deselect me only days after announcing robust policies related to Islam, he now appears weak in his resolve.
Commenting on why the party appears to have lost confidence on the issue just days after announcing tough news policies on the burka and female genital mutilation, Ms. Waters suggested media pressure may have played a part.
“Perhaps the press grilling, which should have been anticipated, proved too much. If the party is going to have policies such as banning the burqa, or outlawing sharia councils, then they have to have both the courage and the knowledge to defend and promote these policies. I think perhaps the idea was to gain the votes with the policies, but still retain the necessary political correctness while discussing those policies. That can’t be done – its no good wanting to outlaw sharia if you’re not prepared to be critical of Islam, and it seems that Paul Nuttall is not, which is why, sadly, these policies will not have the impact they could have had, and UKIP will feel this on polling day”.
UKIP supporters across the country have been venting their frustrations about the termination of Ms. Waters’s candidacy, with many suggesting they would simply not vote for the party, or even end their memberships if the ban remained in place.
Ms. Waters, however, wants to continue representing the party and said she intends to focus on the county elections taking place on May 4th.
A spokesman for the UK Independence Party told Breitbart London: “The nomination was not ratified by the NEC”.”
