  1. President Trump’s 360 Degree Adversaries, and He’s Got Them Surrounded…

”“Well, I don’t really have to do any holding together, now that I figured out what Trump is up to. He is shaking things out, but counting on Trump gravity to pull things back together as he moves along.

He is moving “forward” at speeds Obama could not even dream of.

You and I will be anti-Trump trolls one day and MAGA heroes the next. Get used to it. Trump speed is the new normal. Some will call it flip-flopping, but that’s not what it is. Trump is dodging and weaving through reality faster than the reality can react to disrupt his plans.””

  2. Swedish ministers unveil plans for 10,000 more police officers by 2024 (express, Apr 12, 2017)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/790579/Sweden-terror-cabinet-minister-more-police-officers-2024-Stockholm-attack

“SWEDEN’S biggest party plans to bolster up the country’s police force with 10,000 new officers by 2024, it announced just days after the Stockholm terror attack.

Speaking to press in connection with the Social Democrats’ party conference, Sweden’s interior minister Anders Ygeman and finance minister Magdalena Andersson, said the party also plans to establish two new institutions to train police officers.

The proposal would cost between £6billion and £8bn, the interior minister added, according to Expressense.

Ms Andersson said: “We need to strengthen security in Sweden. We have also seen the fantastic efforts by the police in recent days and the love and respect they were met with my citizens. Something they really deserve.”

The cabinet ministers added the investment into the officers would come in addition to the £2bn already pledged in the 2016 autumn budget…”

      • That doesn’t really sound like a good idea seeing as the muslims seem to have a greater propensity for mental illnesss. Do the Swedish police carry weapons beyond pepper spray and batons ?

        • Yes they carry guns but they are trained to do just about anything to avoid shooting anyone.

  3. REVEALED: UK spending more than THREE TIMES on foreign aid than rest of world, study shows (express, Apr 12, 2017)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/790740/UK-spends-more-than-three-times-foreign-aid-than-rest-of-world

“NEW international analysis has revealed that Britain is paying more than three times its fair share of foreign aid compared to the rest of the world.

One in every eight pounds spent in handouts to poor countries around the world is funded by the British taxpayer, the latest figures by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) have revealed.

While Britain had a major funding crisis in schools and hospitals the Government was still able to spend more than £13billion on foreign countries in 2016.

This was from a total worldwide aid budget of £100 billion.

Ukip international aid spokeswoman Lisa Duffy pointed out that the UK’s share of world GDP is 3.5 per cent but it is paying 12.5 per cent of the world’s aid budget.

She said: “It is an outrage that UK taxpayers are forking out more than three times what any man or woman regard as fair.

“Britain is one of the most generous donors of voluntary aid around the world but that generosity is being abused by a spendthrift government.”

Only the USA and Germany have matched Britain in paying out the “minimum” level of 0.7 per cent of GDP on aid, the OECD has revealed.

And the report also showed that refugees are coming into European countries, including Britain, are accounting for millions of pound from the foreign aid budgets…”

  4. In surprise move, Iran’s Ahmadinejad to run for president

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran’s former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday stunned the country by unexpectedly filing to run in the May presidential election, contradicting a recommendation from the supreme leader to stay out of the race.

Ahmadinejad’s decision could upend an election many believed would be won by moderate President Hassan Rouhani, who negotiated the nuclear deal with world powers. Though Rouhani has yet to formally register, many viewed him as a shoe-in following Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s recommendation in September for Ahmadinejad to stand down and conservatives’ inability to coalesce around a single candidate.

Ahmadinejad’s firebrand style could prove appealing for hard-liners seeking a tough-talking candidate who can stand up to U.S. President Donald Trump. His candidacy also could expose the fissures inside Iranian politics that linger since his contested 2009 re-election, which brought massive unrest.

  5. Alabama Senate votes to allow church to form police dept.
    Tuesday, April 11th 2017, 5:20 pm CDT
    Tuesday, April 11th 2017, 5:20 pm CDT

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) – The Alabama Senate has voted to allow a church to form its own police force.

Lawmakers on Tuesday voted 24-4 to allow Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham to establish a law enforcement department.

The church says it needs its own police officers to keep its school as well as its more than 4,000 person congregation safe.

Critics of the bill argue that a police department that reports to church officials could be used to cover up crimes.

The state has given a few private universities the authority to have a police force, but never a church or non-school entity.

Police experts have said such a police department would be unprecedented in the U.S.

A similar bill is also scheduled to be debated in the House on Tuesday.

  6. Dead body found near North Dakota pipeline protest site
    By J.E. Dyer April 11, 2017

Over two months ago, local authorities were starting the clean-up of tons of trash left by pipeline protesters at the Oceti Sakowin camp in North Dakota. It was crucial to get the trash cleaned up before the spring rains and thaw set in, so that the trash wouldn’t cause toxic runoff in the waterways. (I noted the irony at the time: the protesters had for months called themselves “protectors of the local waters.”)

When the clean-up first started, a Morton County Sheriff representative, Captain Jay Gruebele, explained one of the things they most feared to find:

  7. France’s War to Delegitimize Israel

    by Yves Mamou
    April 12, 2017 at 5:00 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10082/france-israel-delegitimization

Officially, France prohibits any form of boycott against Israel. In 2015, the Court of Cassation confirmed a 2013 decision regarding the illegality of boycotts and the call for boycotts in France. Under the law, in 2013, BDS France was fined €28,000 (USD $30,000) by a local French court, after a call made in 2010 by 14 activists to boycott Israeli products in a supermarket. In addition, each of the 14 activists was fined €1,000.

However, according to a report recently released by NGO Monitor, the French government continues to fund NGOs openly hostile to Israel and to fund NGOs that support and promote boycott campaigns against Israel.

The French government’s financial support for boycott campaigns embraces:

    • France’s War to Delegitimize Israel

All of which is quite strange when one considers how France made vital contributions to Israel’s original development of nuclear weapons.

Furthermore, what does it take to prevent barely concealed Antisemite Islamic propaganda from reaching the world’s most influential propaganda platforms broadcast networks?

More importantly, what is required to make aggressive (global) Muslim populations oppose the very same jihadist blathering that will, one day, see the entire lot of them vaporized in (otherwise totally avoidable) ionic plasma?

As so many others (here and elsewhere) already have realized—the decision to peacefully coexist lies in the hands of those who are least willing to do anything about it.

The West’s incontrovertible analysis of this most basic formula should be that irresistible force is the single answer to those who are deterred only by an utterly existential threat.

Although this should be anything but the truth, far too many factors (especially those deriving from within Theocratic Islam itself) utterly oppose even the slightest degree of harmony required for non-nuclear conflict.

From this point on, I sincerely hope that all here at Vlad Tepes Blog will please take my statements of this sort as polite and open invitations to sincerely argue against (or refute) them with whatever facts or tools are available.

Please know that I do not enjoy predicting Continental Muslim death camps or any sort of European Islamic genocide. Be equally sure that whatever potential Muslim purge of Europe—a far more repulsive outcome—is utterly unacceptable. Would that there was a quick and easy way to disprove what I continue to reluctantly predict.

Any alternative that furnishes a swift and relatively peaceful resolution to this seemingly intractable conflict deserves careful and detailed consideration.

The alternatives are neither functional nor are they even slightly attractive.

      Thank you,

  10. Germans wanting to aid refugees now at risk of bankruptcy

Guarantors made to pay thousands of euros

“Our interior ministry promised us that our responsibility would 100 percent end after the refugees were granted asylum here,” Grothe said. “Now the job centers are saying ‘Your obligation is still in place and we want the money back that we paid for your refugees!'”

Grothe sounds angry when he’s talking about the issue because some of his fellow guarantors are getting desperate. For a Syrian family of four, the costs they are supposedly obliged to meet can reach up to 14,000 Euros every six months.

Since that is not what they signed up for, the Giessen guarantors are now suing. Until the lawsuit at the Giessen administrative court is settled, they don’t have to pay. But what they really want is for the state to acknowledge the original promise and take over the payments for them.

    • AHhhhh, for the good doers the rubber is finally hitting the road.
The should be thankful that all they get robbed is their income and not their life.

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/04/12/swedish-journo-sweden-collapse-without-illegal-migrants/

“Swedish writer Åsa Linderborg has claimed the Swedish economy would collapse if it was not for illegal migrants who she says are vital to the economy.

Ms. Linderborg, who serves as the cultural editor for Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, wrote an opinion piece on Monday: “Yes, there is a problem with those who are denied their asylum applications and then go underground,” but added: “It’s equally true that Sweden would stop working if the tens of thousands of undocumented migrants who are here vanished for real.”

Linderborg made the argument that illegal migrants do the jobs that Swedes refuse to do saying illegals were the ones who worked low-paying jobs like cleaning and in the service industry.

The piece comes as a reaction to the news the terrorist in the Stockholm attack was a failed asylum seeker set to be deported. Following the attack, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven said that Sweden would no longer employ an open door policy for illegal migrants.

Though Linderborg claimed the Swedish economy relies solely on migrants, various reports have shown the opposite is true and that migrants are often the most likely to be unemployed in the country. A report from December 2015 predicted that six out of every 10 unemployed people in Sweden would come from a foreign background by 2017…”

“Gothenburg City Theatre has defended its decision to continue showing a controversial play, whose writer and director says aims to “humanise” terrorists after an Islamist attack struck Sweden Friday.

Still showing at the theatre, the play Jihadisten tells the story of a young man in Sweden who heads to Syria to join a terrorist organisation, after being “slowly radicalised”.

Its writer and director Johan Gry told SVT last month: “The aim [of the play] is to humanise the terrorist, so to speak, and we are daring to show how he is a human being.”

Going on to equate people who lack sympathy for Islamic terrorists with Islamic State and similar violent groups, he said: “For if we are not brave enough to do that, then we dehumanise this person in the same way as [Islamic terrorists] dehumanise their victims.

“If we cannot understand, or try to understand these people, we will not be able to do anything about the problem.”

  24. Afghan refugee faces deportation after 25 years in Switzerland (thelocal, Apr 12, 2017)
    https://www.thelocal.ch/20170412/afghan-refugee-faces-deportation-after-25-years-in-switzerland

“A Swiss court has ruled that a 27-year-old Afghan man who came to Switzerland as a refugee at the age of two should be deported to Afghanistan after committing a number of crimes.

Under Swiss law a refugee can be deported even after many years in Switzerland if he is deemed a threat to security or public order.

In this case the Fribourg resident, who has spent 25 years in Switzerland and does not know his country of origin, appealed to the cantonal court after the authorities revoked his residency permit in 2015 following a number of convictions for violent behaviour.

But last month the court rejected his appeal, Swiss media reported on Tuesday.

The man arrived in Switzerland with his family in 1992. They were granted asylum and set up home in the canton of Fribourg, according to news agencies.

As a minor, the young man was three times convicted of violent offences, behaviour that continued into adulthood and led to a three-year prison sentence in 2010.

A year after being released he reoffended and was handed another two-year sentence.

Ruling on the man’s appeal against his deportation, the cantonal court said there was a high risk that he would reoffend, based on the speed of his previous reoffending, his aggressive behaviour in prison and the opinion of a psychiatrist.

The defendant said he had no relationship with Afghanistan, that he didn’t know the language or the country’s customs.

The current fragile situation in Afghanistan and the fact he was from an ethnic minority also formed part of his argument against his deportation.

However the court drew on the opinion of the Swiss migration office (SEM) which in 2015 said it found no reason to think the man would be treated inhumanely if he returned to Afghanistan, mainly because so much time had passed since the events that led to him and his family fleeing the country as refugees.

The public interest in deporting him outweighed his private interest in staying here, concluded the judges…”

“Tunisia’s Ambassador to Rome Moez Sinaoui told an ANSA Forum on Wednesday that an agreement between Italy and Tunisia on migration has effectively solved the problem of illegal arrivals from that North African nation.

“Thanks to the agreement with Italy to manage the flows, illegal immigration from Tunisia is no longer a problem,” Sinaoui said.

“The agreement has been respected by both sides – the control of the coasts on our side, the supply of motorboats by Italy. “In 2016 there were just 1,204 illegal Tunisians in Italy out of a total of 180,000, practically nothing, and they were all repatriated. “It is necessary to give hope to young Tunisians, to make it possible for them to find work and be inserted into the legal migration systems”. Sinaoui added that he was confident the security situation had improved in Tunisia, following several big terrorist attacks in 2015.

“Things on the security front are going better. We have not had attacks in the last two years,” he said.

“But the truth is that no city in the world is safe and can say it is out of the terrorists’ sights. “We have passed laws to prevent terrorism and to stop the return of fighters from the Middle East.
“Things are going better for tourism too, although not (for holidaymakers) from Italy, after the (March 2015) Bardo Museum attack, in which (four) Italians were among the victims.
“We have to rebuild trust and working together is the best way to do that”.”

“The first phase in the implementation of an agreement between local Sunni and Shiite militias and their regional sponsors kicked off Wednesday in central and northern Syria. The agreement aims to change the demographic scenario of regions bordering with Lebanon and Turkey, based on the new context created by the war.

Media close to Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Syrian opposition groups reported that an exchange of prisoners and bodies of dead fighters took place among communities from the four towns – two Shiite and two Sunni – west of Damascus and in the region of Idlib.

The accord was reached at the end of March between Sunni jihadist groups, supported by Qatar and Turkey, and their Lebanese and Syrian Shiite rivals, backed by Iran and Russia.

The agreement provides for two Shiite enclaves (Foua and Kefraya) in the Sunni-majority region of Idlib to be almost totally emptied, as well as of the two Sunni towns of Madaya and Zabadani west of Damascus, an area nor controlled by Shiites.”

“The Sindh Rangers claim to have unearthed a nexus between terrorists and foreign spy agencies.

A senior paramilitary officer on Wednesday said the force has arrested at least five hardcore militants from Da’ish and al Qaeda in the Indian Sub-Continent (AQIS) who were in contact with India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Afghanistan’s National Directorate of Security (NDS).

“We arrested the five hardcore militants during a raid in the Mawach Goth area of [Karachi’s] Keamari Town,” Rangers Colonel Qaiser Khattak told a news conference at the force’s headquarters.

“We had received information through intelligence sources that trained Da’ish and AQIS militants were planning a major attack in Karachi,” he said. “Rangers saved Karachi by taking timely action against them.”

Col Khattak said the captured terrorists had received training in Afghanistan. “They [the terrorists] were part of a nexus with India’s RAW and Afghanistan’s NDS which was operating out of Balochistan,” he said. “They were communicating with each other by using SD cards.”

“A laptop containing a three-dimensional map of a highly sensitive installation in Karachi along with jihadi and anti-state literature was recovered from the militants’ possession and confirmed their ties with banned outfits,” the Rangers officer added.

  33. NUCLEAR COUNTDOWN US officials believe North Korea has placed a nuclear device in a tunnel, which could mean a nuclear test is imminent

Meanwhile foreign journalists visiting North Korea have been told to prepare for a ‘big and important event’

Washington-based 38 North, a website that monitors North Korea, said satellite images from Saturday showed vehicles and trailers at the Punggye-ri test site and signs that communications cables may have been laid to a test tunnel.

The think tank said water appears to be being pumped out and was draining downhill “presumably to keep the tunnel dry for monitoring or communications equipment”.

Over the past four weeks, there have been unusually high levels of activity at the Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site, especially around the North Portal—the tunnel in which the four most recent nuclear tests have taken place. New commercial satellite imagery from April 2 indicates continued activity in this area and at the Main Administrative Area, while the rest of the facility remains quiet. This pattern of activity could mean a sixth nuclear test is imminent, but the imagery does not provide any definitive evidence of the installation of a nuclear device or the exact timing of such a test.

At the North Portal, water continues to be pumped out of the tunnel and is saturating the ground to the southeast. The melting snow and resulting visible paths indicate continued foot and vehicle traffic around the portal and what appear to be two small trailers are visible on the side of the road to the south. The probable netting that was installed previously near the support building appears to be suspended over equipment—precisely what equipment can’t be determined at present. Additionally, there may have been some new dumping of material excavated from the tunnel onto the spoil pile.
