3. Three people have been arrested after what appears to be a mass torture-murder spree by a muslim at what I think is a Sufi temple in Pakistan.

Lahore, Pakistan – The custodian of a shrine and two others have been arrested after murdering 20 devotees in Pakistan’s Punjab province, police said.

Abdul Waheed, custodian of the Ali Muhammad Gujjar shrine, drugged the devotees before beating them with sticks and stabbing them to death late on Saturday, local police officer Shaukat Manzoor told Al Jazeera.

He then handed himself over to authorities, the official added.

The incident occurred in the small village of Chak 95, just outside the city of Sarghoda located about 160km west of Lahore.

“He drugged everyone who was at the shrine,” Manzoor said, adding that Waheed appeared to suffer from mental instability.

Initial reports indicated there were no survivors from the attack but local police officials later said at least two people are being treated at a local hospital.

(The reasons for this slaughter seem a little vague. But as Islam has at its core, a love of death and killing and a subsequent culture of death and destruction, this seems like a classic manifestation of how a mentally ill person of Islamic upbringing may manifest his disease. One never hears about these actions from religious Buddhists or Christians etc. no matter what diagnosis they may have. THe man also had at least 2 accomplices however. To do so is perfectly reasonable in his eyes, because he believes his murder of thirteen Americans was a just and moral act in service to Allah, as per his commands to murder Infidels (Qur’an 2:191, 4:89, 9:5, 47:4). Having carried out this command, he has an exalted status, and can dictate on morality to others.
