Freedom of speech is the ultimate freedom, it is the freedom to think for yourself and have your own beliefs. this freedom is so precious that the citizens of the fledgling US insisted that it be protected in our Constitution. This was done in the First Amendment which also protects several other rights. This right is a natural right, it existed before the US was founded and will exist after we no longer exist, the US Constitution does not give rights it protects them. For Canada to work to take another natural right away from its citizens shows how far Western Civilization has fallen and how bad political situation is and how dark the future of freedom looks.
The generation that fought WWII and preserved freedom for over half a century left us a world that was mostly free, we on our watch have seen this change to a world that is mostly living under dictatorships. We are faced with two major enemies that are at times working together to destroy our freedom and ensure that we live in Dictatorships that will have the technological capabilities of using the worst of Orwell;s predictions against all who are alive. Events have reached the point where there is no more room to retreat and buy a little temporaty peace with out enemies by giving up some of our liberty. We either stand and fight right now or we will be enslaved by either the alt left or Islam. I don’t want to live under either system that limits my thoughts the way both of those do.
Very encouraging video. Kudos to these Canadian immigrants for speaking out in defense of the equivalent of our FIRST AMENDMENT.
There is nothing phobic in my dread of islam. Since the bombing of the USS Cole, my wake up call, I have studied this “religion.”
It is a scourge on the planet and the worst thing to happen to western civilization since the plague. I watch as it creeps nearer and nearer to me. Now Canada wants to institute a blasphemy law.
Please, people of Canada, WAKE UP.
Write, call and march on your representatives. I don’t care if it is cold out… Do it anyway! Don’t go down because it is the easy thing to do. Just one more crack in the levy and you will all be slaves.
I don’t think you realize what Hobbits Canadians are.
Most of them have at this point been through Marxist indoctrination centers. Even wealthy lawyers and professionals I know have substituted liberal and classical thought methods with cultural Marxism. Most would deny it, but they clearly have.
Even the ones who do get it won’t go out to a demo because they are afraid or they feel it won’t do any good.
Normally I would agree with them. But the one thing Trudeau has shown he is capable of, is folding a bad idea when there is public pressure.
So yes, Canadians SHOULD do things to oppose this motion because it very well may work.
Already they have put off the motion till April. Which means there is a good chance it will get lost over the summer break.
