    • Once again an activist Judge is ignoring the law to play politics. the alt left isn’t going to be statsified until there is a civil war, a civil war they can’t win.     One of the escapees was sentenced to death after he was found guilty of murdering civilians and members of the security services as well as causing explosions and demolitions of homes, the statement said.

        • No I hadn’t seen it. I watched up to the point where he started in on the global Sunday law, then I stopped. The current Pope is a left wing (close to being alt left) person that has managed to gain power in the Roman Catholic Church. He and his followers are moving to force the Christians into following the far left version of Christianity, just as (from the portion that I watched) the man making the video is working to stop Christianity from returning to any type of power.

          If Christianity were the most powerful lobbying group in the world the Sunday Closing laws would never have been revoked and all nations that are even nominally Christian would be sending armies to protect the Christians in the Middle East. The enemies of freedom in the West want to destroy Christianity because the Christians believe in a higher power then the government. The Moslems do also but they are incapable of leaving the 7th Century and are thus considered a lesser threat to the left.

  17. EURO HUMILIATION: Germany ‘freaked out’ as Greece ‘could ditch EU currency for US DOLLAR’

    Professor Ted Malloch revealed that senior Greek economists have enquired about the possibility of adopting the greenback if the country crashes out of the single currency.

    He asserted that Athens is so desperate it is prepared to tie itself to the dollar on the same terms as the likes of Puerto Rico if it means being able to quit the eurozone.

    And Prof Malloch said German leaders including Angela Merkel were “freaked out” at the humiliating possibility of losing Greece to a rival currency, which would be a devastating blow to the EU project.

    Tying Greece temporarily to the US dollar would be one way for the authorities in Athens to ensure that its currency does not completely tank if it leaves the eurozone, as would likely occur with a reissued drachma.

    • They would have to buy the Dollars from us which would probably limit the amount of cash they have however this is probably a good idea for Greece and may signal a move for other nations that are seeking to leave the euro.

        • It may be fake news but it makes sense economically, if/when Greece leaves the euro they have to use another currency. Since Greece is effectively a failed country with a failed economy if they go to the Drachma their currency would quickly fall to the level of Zimbabwe’s currency or lower. Here are a list of nations using the US Dollar as an alternative currency, Ecuador, East Timor, El Salvador, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Palau, Turks and Caicos, British Virgin Islands, Zimbabwe. These nations really don’t have anything like a solid national currency and use the US dollar so their citizens don’t have to use wheel barrow’s or pickups to carry enough money to buy a loaf of bread.

          I used Zimbabwe as an example before I looked up the nations using the US dollar.

  18. North Korean leader’s half brother killed in Malaysia: source

    SEOUL/KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) – The estranged half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been killed in Malaysia, a South Korean government source told Reuters on Tuesday.

    Kim Jong Nam, the older half brother of the North Korean leader, was known to spend a significant amount of his time outside the country and had spoken out publicly against his family’s dynastic control of the isolated state.

    He was believed to be in his mid-40s.

    Police in Malaysia told Reuters on Tuesday an unidentified North Korean man had died en route to hospital from Kuala Lumpur airport on Monday. Abdul Aziz Ali, police chief for the Sepang district, said the man’s identity had not been verified.

    An employee in the emergency ward of Putrajaya hospital said a deceased Korean there was born in 1970 and surnamed Kim.

    South Korea’s TV Chosun, a cable television network, said that Kim was poisoned at Kuala Lumpur airport by two women believed to be North Korean operatives, who were at large, citing multiple South Korean government sources.

      District police chief Abdul Aziz Ali said the man was waiting for a flight to Macau on Monday when he fell ill and died en route to a hospital.

      Multiple South Korean media reports, citing unnamed sources, said Kim Jong Nam was killed at the airport by two women. TV Chosun, citing unidentified “multiple government sources,” said the women were believed to be North Korean agents and used poison needles to kill Kim. It said they fled in a taxi and were being sought by Malaysian police.

      Selangor state police chief Abu Samah Mat said the man went to the airport clinic complaining that he had been sprayed by some liquid and was in pain, and died on the way to Putrajaya Hospital. He said the man held a North Korean passport but “we do not know his identity.”

      Kim Jong Nam reportedly fell out of favor in North Korea after being caught trying to enter Japan on a false passport in 2001, saying he wanted to visit Tokyo Disneyland. He is believed to be in his mid-40s and has reportedly been living in recent years in Macau, Singapore and Malaysia.

      Kim Jong Nam and Kim Jong Un have the same father, late dictator Kim Jong Il, but have different mothers.

      A member of the staff at the emergency ward at Putrajaya Hospital said the deceased North Korean was born in 1970 and was identified only as Kim. The staff person, who wasn’t authorized to talk to the media and spoke on condition of anonymity, said the man’s body was now in the forensic department for a post-mortem examination.”

  19. The anti-Trump media: Sound and fury, signifying nothing

    For your convenience, we need to discuss what’s going on with much of the mainstream media right now.

    At times in the recent past, the MSM were reasonably reliable about reporting the news, and taking legitimate news as the basis for editorial or polemical discussion. Admittedly, those times were a shrinking subset of all the content pumped out by the MSM. But the subset was still healthy enough to count.

    It no longer is. The mainstream media, along with the entire New Media leftosphere, are now mounting a full-court press (as it were) against the Trump administration, simply lobbing as much as they can out there to see what will stick. None of it has to be true, credible, or even rational. The purpose, besides creating an appearance of general chaos, appears to be putting heads on pikes, whether the lopped-off heads of the administration’s policies – introduced as President Trump promised during his 2016 campaign – or the figurative heads of the administration’s personnel.

    In the pursuit of this objective, no amount of unsubstantiated innuendo or simple egregious nonsense seems to be too much. The media don’t bother to defend it (or make it sensible); they merely repeat it, from one outlet to the next, until it seems to be coming from everywhere.

    The examples cover almost literally everything that has been reported since mid-January (start here, but there’s a lot more) about the incoming Trump administration, federal policy, events inside the United States, and events outside the United States that can be framed in any way as impugning Trump, no matter how little he ever had to do with them. An atmosphere of dementedness prevails – not because either the government or the people have gone crazy (the violent-protest left excepted), but because the media have.

  20. Out like Flynn: Let the victory laps and tolja-sos begin

    You can’t say you weren’t warned. J.E. Dyer’s post yesterday on the anti-Trump media came well before Trump National Security Adviser and retired General Mike Flynn officially tendered his resignation, though the handwriting was on the wall. It was also on social media, where members of press began celebrating early with tweets like “One down, four hundred to go.” (I guess liberals have conveniently forgotten their seething outrage when Rush Limbaugh said at roughly the same point in Barack Obama’s presidency that he hoped Obama would fail.)

    (J.E. will have much more to say about the Flynn departure and the media reaction to it in a major post. This is merely a warm-up act.)

      • During the 8 years of Obama the alt left and the Moslems infiltrated the US government including the intel groups and the Federal police. This is part of the swamp that needs draining and the most critical parts of the swamp, of course the infiltrators will work to stop being removed from the positions where they are doing so much damage.     • USA – Secret Service director retiring, led agency amid turmoil

      The director of the Secret Service is retiring, for a second time.

      Director Joseph Clancy came out of retirement more than two years ago to take over the embattled agency amid a series of embarrassing scandals and security missteps.

      Clancy took over on an interim basis in late 2014 and was appointed director by President Barack Obama in early 2015. The agency announced his retirement in a tweet Tuesday.

      His departure means that President Donald Trump will now be able to pick the person he wants to lead the agency tasked with protecting him and his family among others.

    Im Mai 2016 tötete Yve M. (39) seine Freundin Tunay G. (39) mit dreißig Messerstichen. Anschließend trennte er Kopf, linken Arm und einen Finger ab. Vor Gericht schweigt er aber.

    Als die Polizei die Leiche von Tunay G. (39) fand, war die nicht nur bereits stark verwest sondern auch mit unterschiedlichen Steinen, Bändern und Federn geschmückt. Kopf, linker Arm und rechter kleiner Finger waren abgetrennt. Ein grausiges Ritual?

    Der Mann, der seit Freitag als mutmaßlicher Täter wegen Totschlags vor dem Landgericht sitzt, könnte diese Frage vielleicht beantworten: Yve M. (39), ein Asylbewerber aus dem Kongo. Doch er schweigt bisher, soll die Tat in der Vergangenheit immer bestritten haben. Emotionslos sitzt der bärtige Mann da, hört, ohne mit der Wimper zu zucken, die Anklage an.

    Die geht davon aus, dass er zwischen dem 15. und 16. Mai 2016 auf die seine Geliebte in deren Wohnung in der Rixdorfer Straße (Mariendorf) mit einem Messer oder einem anderen spitzen Gegenstand (die Tatwaffe wurde nie gefunden) in Tötungsabsicht einstach. Dreißig Einstiche in Unterleib, Bauch und Brust zählte der Gerichtsmediziner. Tunay G. starb an Verbluten.
    Am 10. Juni hatten Mieter des Hauses wegen des unerträglichen Geruches, der aus der Wohnung drang, die Polizei gerufen.

    Einen Tag später wurde der Angeklagte, der in Berlin keinen festen Wohnsitz hatte, in Weißensee festgenommen. Anwohnern der Otto-Brahm-Straße war er wegen seines auffälligen Verhaltens zwischen parkenden Autos aufgefallen.

    Yve M. und das spätere Opfer hatten sich 2015 kennengelernt. Tunay G. lebte damals seit der Scheidung von ihrem Ehemann in verschiedenen Obdachlosenheimen, der Angeklagte in einer Asylbewerberunterkunft. Bis die Frau im April 2016 die Wohnung in Mariendorf bekam und er mit einzog.

    Über die Beziehung der beiden ist wenig bekannt. Das Paar lebte sehr zurückgezogen. Kontakt zu Nachbarn bestand kaum. Was sich am Pfingstwochenende 2016 in der Wohnung abspielte, liegt bisher im Dunkeln. Gibt es endlich Aufklärung im Prozess? Der Sohn von Tunay G., der Nebenkläger ist, will wissen, warum seine Mutter sterben musste.

    Yve M., der seit frühester Jugend Marihuana konsumiert, soll an einer paranoiden Schizophrenie mit religiösen Wahnvorstellungen erkrankt sein. Die Staatsanwaltschaft sieht aufgrund dessen in ihm eine Gefahr für die Allgemeinheit und strebt für ihn die Einweisung in die Psychiatrie an.

  23. Germany: Pakistani refugee gets 20 months on probation for rape of six-year-old

    A Berlin court sentenced a Pakistani refugee who was accused of raping a six year-old girl in a refugee shelter to 20-months on probation, in the German capital, Tuesday.

    The rape case happened in autumn 2016 in a refugee shelter in Berlin’s Moabit and took a tragic turn after police arrived to arrest the defendant. The father of the victim allegedly attempted to kill the defendant with a knife after his arrest. Police opened fire when the 29-year-old father rushed towards the police car, where the defendant sat in handcuffs, killing the father.

    SOT, Lisa Jani, spokesperson of Berlin criminal courts (German): “The defendant is accused of the sexual assault of a six year-old girl. The scene took place on the premises of the refugee shelter in Kruppstrasse. The defendant is a Pakistani refugee while the child is from Iraq. When the situation emerged a turmoil started among the inhabitants of the shelter. The police were alarmed. During the arrest of the defendant a tragic accident happened. The father of the supposedly molested girl was shot dead.”

    SOT, Lisa Jani spokesperson of Berlin criminal courts (German): “The defendant is alleged to have lured the girl to a absent place using his phone. After it is alleged that he had molested her.”

    SOT, Christina Clemm, lawyer of the mother and girl (German): “They feel terrible of course. Can there be anything worse for a six-year-old child? She was only six and was molested by a man who lived in the same refugee shelter. He was caught in the act. And the next thing she hears – she didn’t have to witness it fortunately – is that her father died. There are no words to describe this. The child is conspicuous, she is traumatised, she sleeps badly.”

    SOT, Christina Clemm, lawyer of the mother and girl (German): “He was no stranger but lived in the same shelter; and the children knew him of course. The accommodation has surely contributed to this.”

    “Turkish diplomatic offices around the world are gathering information in a bid to undermine organizations loyal to a Muslim cleric who Turkey believes was behind last year’s coup attempt, an Austrian lawmaker said Tuesday.

    Greens Parliamentarian Peter Pilz showed The Associated Press memos from the Turkish Embassy in Vienna and the Turkish Consulate in Salzburg. They show ATIB, the union of Turkish-Islamic cultural organizations in Austria, sending reports on organizations backed by U.S.-based cleric Fethullah Gulen to diplomats, with the information then forwarded to Ankara.

    Pilz said his team is working on publishing similar documents from 30 other countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. He spoke of a “global spying network,” with the religious attaches of the various embassies “very often the main Erdogan agents,” in reference to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

    Turkey is pressing nations to crack down on the Gulen movement’s network of schools and charities outside of the country. It accuses Gulen of orchestrating the July 15 coup that saw renegade military officers and soldiers use fighter jets, helicopters and tanks to attack parliament and other state buildings. Some 270 people were killed…”

  27. CHAOS ON STREETS OF PARIS: Tensions boil over in capital as leaders blasted as ‘COWARDS’ (express, Feb 14, 2017)

    “FRENCH presidential candidates Marine Le Pen and Francois Fillon have lashed out at the “silent” French government which is allowing riots to take over parts of Paris.

    Desperate police had to resort to tear gas to try and control the violent protest against police brutality in the city of Dijon last night.

    The widespread protests were sparked after a 22-year-old man, Theo, claimed he was sexually assaulted by a police officer.

    Videos have surfaced of cars burning, police reversing away from protesters and general havoc in Paris suburbs, particularly Bobigny.

    On Monday night, a video of burning rubbish in the Paris suburb of Epinay-sur-Seine emerged on Twitter.

    Another disturbing video shows a crowd of hooded youths attacking a building in Bobigny.

    Leader of the Front National (FN), Marine Le Pen, said: “Faced with this situation, which makes France a national disgrace and the misfortune of the inhabitants of the districts affected, the government is locked into a silence which reflects both its cowardice and its powerlessness.”

    The violent riots have led to the arrest of 37 people.

    The niece of Ms Le Pen, Marion, published a video purporting to show rioters shouting “Allahu Akbar” and police have even been forced out of certain suburbs.

    Conservative presidential candidate, Francois Fillon, said: “Until yesterday, the Home Secretary has been silent. Would it hurt Bruno le Roux to stop being silent?”

    Mr Fillon said the government must act as the victims of the violence will be the people who live in the suburbs themselves.

    Marion, also a member of FN, tweeted: “Real poverty is rural and I don’t see them burning cars”, before she said that she would want to employ 15,000 more police officers and have a zero tolerance policy.

    The crowd chanted slogans during the protests including “Rapists in jail,” “Everyone hates the police,” “Justice for Théo,” and “No justice, no peace”.

    Ms Le Pen also said: “Safety is not a privilege but a fundamental right which needs to be re-established for every French person.”

    The FN presidential candidate blasted the home secretary, Bruno Le Roux, for not doing enough in response to the riots.

    She said: “We recall that our country is in a state of emergency. But again, what good is it if the government refuses to use the means at its disposal to maintain public order and enforce the authority of the state?”

    President Hollande is due to go to the Paris suburb of Aubervilliers to discuss unemployment with young people in a desperate attempt to stop the ongoing violence.”

    The human rights activist added that only an extreme minority wear the face covering, as he came out in support of the ban.

    Banning the veil would help prevent future terror attacks, he said, but many Muslims are afraid to back such a move – which has been implemented in some European countries – for fear of being associated with far-right individuals.

    “MORE than 680 illegal immigrants were arrested in the US last week, Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly has announced.

    The raids were conducted in at least 12 states and were “routine and consistent with regular operations carried out by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement” he said.

    The operations targeted Midwest, Los Angeles, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and San Antonio, Texas.

    Of the 41 people arrested in New York City and surrounding areas, 93 per cent had criminal convictions, although only 45 per cent of the 51 people arrested in the San Antonio had criminal records.

    Among the 190 people arrested in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, there were 17 people who had no criminal convictions or a prior order to leave the country, Reuters reported.

    Rights activists have refuted Mr Kelly’s claim that the arrests were “business as usual”, saying the operations were far more sweeping than anything conducted under Barack Obama’s administration.

    Shiu-Ming Cheer, senior staff attorney at the National Immigration Law Center, said: “Now it seems like anyone could be arrested.

    “The level of fear and anxiety is much higher than I’ve ever seen it.”

    Mr Kelly said in a statement that the operation targeted people who had criminal records or had flouted immigration laws.

    Three quarters of those arrested had criminal records, he said, ranging from convictions for homicide to drink driving.

    French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron is a “fake news” target of Russian media and his campaign is facing thousands of cyber attacks, his party chief said on Monday.

    Richard Ferrand, secretary-general of Macron’s En Marche! (Onwards!) party, said that Russian state-controlled media Russia Today and Sputnik had spread false reports with the aim of swinging public opinion against Macron.

    An independent centrist, Macron has surged in campaigning for the French election and opinion polls make him favorite to win election in May.

    Ferrand said that Macron, as a staunch pro-European, was a Russian target because he wanted a strong united Europe that had a major role to play in world affairs, including in the face of Moscow.

    Sputnik earlier this month ran an interview with a conservative French lawmaker accusing Macron, a former investment banker, of being an agent of “the big American banking system”.

    “Two big media outlets belonging to the Russian state Russia Today and Sputnik spread fake news on a daily basis, and then they are picked up, quoted and influence the democratic (process),” Ferrand said.

    Russia Today said it rejected allegations it spread fake news in general and in relation to Macron and the forthcoming French election.

    “It seems that it has become acceptable to level such serious charges at Russia Today without presenting any evidence to substantiate them, as well as to apply this ‘fake news’ label to any reporting that one might simply find unfavorable,” the news channel said in a statement.

    Russian newspaper Izvestia has also reported comments from Wikileaks founder Julian Assange who said his organization had “interesting information” about Macron, who opinion polls say would easily beat far-right leader Marine Le Pen in a May 7 runoff.

    In addition, Ferrand said the Macron campaign was being hit by “hundreds if not thousands” of attacks probing the campaign’s computer systems from locations inside Russia.

    Calling for government action to prevent foreign meddling in the election campaigning, Ferrand said: “What we want is for authorities at the highest level to take the matter in hand to guarantee that there is no foreign meddling in our democracy. The Americans saw it but it came to late.”

    U.S. intelligence agencies said in a report last month that Russian President Vladimir Putin had directed a cyber campaign to help Republican Donald Trump’s electoral chances by discrediting Democrat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential campaign.

    French Defence Minister Jean Yves Le Drian promised last month to boost military resources to fight foreign cyber attacks, acknowledging that France was no less vulnerable than the United States.

    In an election campaign which has sunk into smear and sleaze, Macron on Feb. 7 was also forced to kill rumors of a gay relationship outside his marriage to Brigitte Trogneux.

    The media reports about Macron emerged from Russia as erstwhile poll favorite Francois Fillon, a conservative who speaks positively of Putin, was hit by a scandal which has badly affected his election chances.

    He has seen his poll lead evaporate following French press allegations that his wife had been paid for being his parliamentary assistant without doing any real work.

    Fillon’s decline has put Macron in a position to make it into a May 7 runoff vote, where polls see him winning by a large margin against far right leader Marine Le Pen, who has received funds in the past from a Russian lender and pledged to have good relations with Russia if elected.

    Independent Emmanuel Macron will easily beat far-right leader Marine Le Pen in a runoff in the French presidential election, but the outcome of a knockout between her and conservative Francois Fillon would be closer than before, a poll showed on Monday.

    The Opinionway poll showed Le Pen would get 42 percent of votes compared to 58 percent for Fillon if the scandal-hit Fillon made it through to the second round – Le Pen’s highest second-round estimate by polls so far this year.

    The rest of the poll had similar findings to previous surveys – with Le Pen coming out with the biggest number of votes in the April 23 first round, but then losing to either Macron or Fillon in the second round on May 7.

    Le Pen had 26 percent in the first round, compared to 22 percent for Macron, and 21 percent for Fillon.

    Macron, a centrist, would then be the likeliest candidate to take on Le Pen in the second round, with Macron expected to win with 63 percent of votes over 37 percent for Le Pen.

    Fillon’s campaign has been hit by probes into allegations of fake work carried out by Fillon’s wife.

    A Turkish woman kidnapped following a Mecca mosque crush which claimed more than 1,400 lives in 1990 is facing death by stoning after her real family tracked her down after 27 years.

    Fahire Kara, who was on pilgrimage to Mecca with her husband Abdoulla in July 1990 when she was critically wounded in the crush outside the Grand Mosque.

    Her husband clambered over the bodies of the dead and the dying to find his wife who was seriously injured and saying the Muslim creed to cleanse her soul.

    Abdoulla was taken to hospital for treatment and when he was released he went searching for his wife.

    Despite searching hospitals and morgues he could not locate her, returning home in mourning.

    However, a Yemeni binman kidnapped Fahire and instead of taking her to hospital, he brought her to a house in Medina where she was locked up.

    The kidnapper made Fahire into his wife and locked her up for six years. The only time during that period she was allowed out of the building was to deliver his three children.

    According to EuroNews, she eventually became aware that her family had been looking for her after hearing about the story of a missing Turkish woman.

    However, she has been warned by Saudi authorities, if she tries to return home to Turkey, she faces being stoned to death for adultery.

    Otherwise, she has to turn her kidnapper husband in so he can be executed.

    It is understood Turkish diplomats are working on the case to try and see the woman returned home without anyone being killed.

    — A citizen of Mexico with a criminal convicted for first degree sexual assault of a victim under the age of 11.

    So three of those arrested were pedophiles. One was a member of a dangerous gang.

    “Targeting law-abiding innocent immigrant families whose only wrongdoing was crossing the border to give their children a better life, instead of focusing on removing those who have been convicted of violent crimes, is a waste of limited resources and undermines law enforcement in communities across the country. ICE must come clean,” Schumer said.

      “We need a similar guy. I have a candidate. I’m sure that’s the kiss of death, but I believe the guy who should replace General Mike Flynn is another retired Army Lt. General by the name of William ‘Jerry’ Boykin,” Gaffney proposed.

      He said Boykin has “that kind of clarity and courage under fire, most especially, of an extraordinary leader of men, one of our most decorated special operators.”

      “This is the guy for this time, I think, and I hope that Donald Trump will think about bringing him in. He knows him, he worked with him in the course of the campaign, and he would, I believe, help him execute a strategy for victory over jihad, which is what we need at the moment,” he said.

      Marlow agreed that Boykin would be a “fantastic” choice and said Flynn’s resignation gave President Trump an opportunity to “show he has a deep bench,” having put together “the best cabinet since Reagan, maybe even better than Reagan’s first cabinet.”

      Gaffney agreed with Marlow that Flynn’s resignation could represent the Washington establishment’s knocking out an important connection between President Trump and his core voters.

      “I think it’s a serious problem, and I think what you’ll see now, with the blood in the water, is that the sharks will be circling for others who have that connection,” Gaffney predicted. “It’s not just the connection to Trump’s base, of course. It’s the people who helped bring Trump to his present position and who have enabled him to articulate that threat to the establishment Republicans and to the Left – the Obama team, and worse – and not least to the Islamists.”

      “You do have an unholy alliance, it seems to be, that has formed up, whether it’s overt or simply implicit, a shared purpose: to try to take down a Donald Trump who would drain the swamp, and who would challenge all that’s been wrong with Washington,” he said.

      “We need to redouble the effort, all of us, in particular, the Breitbart audience – and you’ve done such a superb job of really enabling them to have a voice. We need to be up on the net now, supporting and championing the work of people like – well, the guy who used to run this show, as a matter of fact, Steve Bannon of course, and Kellyanne Conway and Steve Miller,” Gaffney urged.

    Europol, in cooperation with the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), on February 7 and 8 of this year, had organised an extraordinary meeting of representatives from EU member states, Norwegian and Swiss police organisations, held in Berlin. The almost 100 participants gathered at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss means of enhancing coordination in European-wide police efforts to fight terrorism. The meeting was called in response to several serious terrorist incidents in recent months and the heightened threat of jihadist terrorism in general.

    At an earlier meeting in December 2016, Gilles de Kerchove, EU Counter-terrorism Coordinator said:

    “we have to be vigilant, since the threat posed by the so-called Islamic State (IS) and returning foreign fighters is likely to persist in the coming years. These people are trained to use explosives and firearms and they have been indoctrinated by the jihadist ideology. An effective response requires a comprehensive approach and long term commitment. Of course, the primary responsibility in the fight against terrorism lies with the Member States. However, the EU and its agencies such as Europol can and should play a supportive role that helps respond to the cross-border nature of the threat.”

    As in December, key topics of discussion were the current state of terrorist threat, best practice methodologies and enhanced use of the European Counter-Terrorism Centre (ECTC) at Europol. Aim of the centre is to increase “the information sharing and operational coordination between national counter terrorism agencies.”

    A female politician from the Austrian city of Salzburg is demanding a nightly curfew for asylum seekers after a 17-year-old migrant from Afghanistan went on a violent and perverse rampage this weekend. The teenage refugee viciously assaulted several people and followed a girl home, where he performed an obscene act.

    According to Salzberg24, the Afghan’s first act of violence was directed against a 26-year-old man of Somali origin, who on Saturday evening was beaten up in the area of Salzburg’s central station. Passers-by managed to stop the attacker until police officers arrived at the scene. The suspect managed to escape.

    Only a few hours after the incident the Afghan assaulted another man, this time a night porter. The 51-year-old victim was punched in the face several times after which the refugee, once again, fled from the authorities. Shortly thereafter he was arrested by police after which he was charged and … set free.

    Being on the loose again, the Afghan must have felt his weekend’s climax had yet to come, urging him to pay a visit to Salzburg-Süd train station on Sunday morning. He there spotted an 18-year-old female student and decided to follow her home. After the girl had arrived at her family’s house she woke up her father, who told the asylum seeker to leave the premises.

    Thereupon, the boy publicly masturbated at the doorstep of the family home but left the property before the arrival of police. Police officers, later on, spotted the attacker at the Salzburg-Süd station. During the arrest, the Afghan tried hitting the officers and managed to headbutt a policeman in the face.
