This is quite interesting. BizPackReview writes it up here. What we can see clearly now are a group of student Marxists determined to overthrow the values and legal system of the US, try to use force to take over a university for itself. Raegan recognized it, and wouldn’t negotiate with it. He was successful. Negotiating with them, as it would have been the other night over Milo’s speech, is a win for the other side in a battle where the enemy measures by increments.
Certain values must be held as absolutes. This means freedom of speech, and the right to private property.
Ironically in the case below, the marxists were agitating to get the right to turn the whole world into a parking lot. Even if they didn’t quite know it yet. But only free market economies recognize the value of untouched land and will pay to preserve it because it can afford to.
Communist areas on the other hand, well look up the story of the Soviets and brown coal. A fuel so dirty and poor that it was barely able to give back the energy required to dig it up as it fouled the air. The Soviets moved and destroyed entire ancient European towns to get at it, moving the residents from ancestral homes of real aesthetic beauty to Soviet built low rises resembling cookie cutter slums of many inner cities.
The protesters are going to get worse until there is open warfare in the streets, the alt left and their propaganda media mouthpieces are determined to ensure that the only people in the US with any rights are those who agree with them. Their totalitarian vision for the future is the same one that drove Stalin and Hitler, they are using the tactics Hitler did to drive the Stalinist’s from Germany and want to set up the chain of internment camps that both used to hold and destroy their political enemies.
Anyone who shuts down a speaking event because they are afraid of what the rioters might do is stating quite officially that they do not consider freedom of speech to be worth fighting for. Sure, they don’t mind a little free speech when convenient, but if it presents a problem – they’re first in line to ban it.
These leftists are trying to take away the most fundamental right of a free society – freedom of speech. Isn’t that worth fighting for? It was to my Dad in 1939. If I’m giving a talk at a university and some prick starts screaming “fascist scum!” in my face, why don’t I have the right to punch him as hard as I can? After all, he’s trying to deprive me of my constitutional rights. If that’s not worth fighting over I’d like to know what is. Add to that the likelihood that these rioters are all mentally ill drug addicts on the payroll of Mr. Soros and it makes no sense at all to just let them get away with it. Depriving people of their right to free speech should be a criminal offense…
When I was a child we were taught the old saying: “I don’t agree with a thing you say, but will fight to the death for your right to say it.” I am betting that this is no longer taught in any school at any level.
Socialists and Muslims don’t want you saying this.
I guess you schooled by H.

If you mean homeschooled no I went to a public school back when they were still teaching not indoctrinating.
I screwed up and my name got changed, I am still Richard. not A
I wondered where you went!
I plead massive back pain and pain pills.
A couple of things:
Milo announced on Saturday morning that he will come back to UCB in a couple of months to give the speech he wasn’t allowed to give.
Janet Napolitano was the Homeland Security Director I think under Bush. She is now the head of the UC system, the big enchilada…
One of the masked rioters has been identified as a UCB employee!
What went on at UCB is a disgrace and must not be permitted to happen again.
It will be very interesting to see what measures are taken to ensure safety.
She was HSD during the 1st Obama administration.
Thanks for the correction Richard (or should I say A).
Which ever you want. As I said a minute or so ago I plead massive back pain and pain pills.
