“DEPRAVED vandals defaced a Christian centre by writing Islamic slogans over the walls, destroying glass planes and breaking down doors in a sick attack ahead of New Year’s eve.
Police in the German town of Brühl in the Rhein-Neckar district of Baden-Württemberg released a statement claiming the vandals had left the parish centre a “picture of devastation”.
The Christian centre was broken into on December 30 and police are now investigating the incident.
Details of the defacement come amid a spate of attacks on Christian sites in Germany and Austria over the New Year period.
In northern Austria, statues were beheaded and prayer books were burned when vandals broke into a chapel in the village of St Radegund on New Year’s Eve.
During the same day in the nearby town of Auerbach, vandals also broke into a site, where they smashed the glass casing around two Virgin Mary statues and stole 22 murals, which they then burned in a local wood.
And just a few miles away, attackers broke into a chapel where they stole a Christ figure and beheaded a statue of St Barbara, in a sickening incident which caused 5,000 euros of damage.
The culprits are still at large and while police continue to investigate the incidents, they believe the attacks may have been religiously or culturally motivated.
The chapels are located within the Austrian region of Innviertel, which has witnessed an influx of migrants over the past year.
A report by the Austian Freedom Party published in September last year claimed 120,000 illegal migrants had entered Austria last year, despite the country only permitting 37,500 migrants per year.
Germany, which has also experienced record levels of immigration, was hit with another vile attack on a religious centre in November, when religious statues on display in public places in the town of Dülmen were defaced.
Vandals but off noses and fingers were cut off the forms of religious figures and in some cases, statues were even beheaded.
Günther Fehmer, who oversees Dülmen’s finances, said members of the town’s Catholic community were deeply saddened by the vandalism, which he estimates would cost a six figure sum to rectify.
He said: “We’re all very concerned by what is happening, and we’re also angry.”
Mr Fehmer added that it was impossible to prevent the destruction.
He said: “You can’t take these sculptures inside in the evening and you can’t watch them all night. And a video camera in public spaces is also problematic.””

The comment on Capital flight tells a lot about the Chinese economy and the confidence the powerful Chinese have in their government. A lot of the powerful borrow money from Chinese banks (majority owner the Chinese government) then purchase some valuable property in the US and send some family members over here to watch over the investment. At a later date the property is sold at a loss, the money is reinvested in the US or Europe under the family members name and the initial investment is written off as a loss. This leaves the Chinese government on the hook for the initial loan and the Chinese government official with an investment in the US or Europe that will continue to bring in money for their family.

Currently, I’m reading the excellent book, “The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable“, by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. Just the author’s incessant sneeringly hilarious ridicule of economists, CEOs, statisticians, academicians, most philosophers, government forecasters, and the entire “Social Sciences” community alone makes this book a must-read.
Taleb rightly observes how mega-mergers throughout many of the world’s international financial institutions enables previously impossible global-scale economic crashes. Something that the Financial Titans of Davos are less-than-willing to admit or discuss. Worst of all is my own concern about how constant abuse and gaming of the system by these corrupt blood ticks (rightfully) angers voters to such a degree that Socialist regulation of these malefactors becomes an attractive alternative.
Another outstanding point he makes is how the more mass-media-based news you consume, the less you learn. While seemingly counterintuitive (just like much of the book is as well), the fact remains that all of the various news channels are covering the exact same stories—such that the more news you take in, the less opportunity you have to learn anything genuinely new.
Finally, he harpoons Lambert Adolphe Jacques Quetelet, one of the most influential social statisticians. Quetelet’s attempt to create the profile of an entirely average person through amassing numerical data, gave credence to the notion that there was any such thing. The author humorously notes how Quetelet neglected to make his “average person” half make and half female, thereby putting the lie to his entire body of work.
Taleb goes on to brilliantly ascribe this patently false notion of an “average man” as having served to inspire Karl Marx’s desire to level society into an imposed political and economic equality via Communism. This deep and keen insight is just as profound as it appears and, all by itself, justifies reading the book.
The advocates of “free trade” thinking they are advocating Capitalism the way Adam Smith did ignore facts of history that they probably were never taught. When the US was founded the tax structure was set up as follows:
Federal level: Tariffs on goods imported into the United States, and taxes on alcoholic beverages.
State level: Excise taxes, aka sales tax.
County level: Real Estate taxes, and sales taxes.
City level: Sales taxes.
The vast majority of people were against any type of income tax but saw nothing wrong with tariffs including high tariffs that allowed the local manufactures to compete with the overseas manufactures that were well establish and often of much higher quality. The founders understood how it was necessary for all nations to have their own steel mills and manufacture all of the items needed for the military. This was understood and practiced until the 1960s when the left started screaming about how the cost of steel goods were too high thanks to our insistence om high tariffs on steel from overseas. Since then things have bounced around and the US is now the 3rd largest steel producer but most of the steel is produced from scrap not iron ore. Environmental regs have shut down most of the mines of any type ore in the US, which means we are dependent on shipments from overseas. In case of a long hard major war these supplies can be cut off.
China has been waging low scale economic war against the US and other western nations for decades, their primary weapon has been pegging the Yaun to the US Dollar and pegging it at a much lower price then reality says it should be. This has allowed them to sell their goods at prices that seem cheap, and they have kept their factories running after the market is saturated and then dump them in the US and Europe are prices lower the production cost. This keeps their people working and we end up paying for most of the welfare costs.
Mexico is another nation that has been waging low intensity economic war on the US, they have been using us as the place to dump their excess population and then when they work off the books the US government gets no payroll taxes from them and since they send half to three quarters of their money home to support their families in Mexico, Mexico gets the economic boost that the consumer spending brings.

Alexander Soros, the son of liberal billionaire George Soros who acts as the managing partner for Soros Brothers Investments, has quietly emerged as a major donor to Democratic campaigns and causes.
Alexander has remained relatively unknown in the world of political giving thanks to his father garnering a bulk of the family’s attention. However, Alexander has stepped up his political contributions even as his father continued to pour tens of millions into the coffers of Democratic campaigns and political action committees.
Alexander gave more than $4.5 million to Democratic campaign committees and political action committees in 2016, according to campaign finance records. The millions in donations from Alexander throughout the past election cycle is a sharp increase from years past.
The Senate Majority PAC, the political action committee of former Sen. Harry Reid (D., Nev.), was the biggest recipient of cash from Soros’ son. Between August and November 2016, Alexander cut four checks to Reid’s leadership PAC totaling $3.5 million.
Alexander gave $127,800 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee during the 2016 campaign cycle and added $133,400 to the Democratic National Committee Services Corp.

Oklahoma Man Ordered To Pay Child Support Despite Not Being Father
TULSA (KFSM) — A man in Oklahoma is hoping to change the law after he has to continue to pay child support for a baby that is not his, according to our affiliate KOTV.
When Thomas’ high school girlfriend got pregnant, he married her. Five months later she had a little boy and he believed he had a son, but their marriage fell apart.
Thomas decided to take a paternity test when the boy was three years old.
“It comes back zero percent. I was in my office and I saw that. I should’ve expected it but I didn’t and it hit me. I’m telling my co-worker how shocked I am that someone could do this to someone,” he said.
The judge ordered Thomas to take another DNA test and he got the same result. The judge first ruled that Thomas was off the hook financially, but then reversed the decision because Oklahoma law says men must question paternity within two years of the child’s birth.

Japan and Australia agree to strengthen defense ties
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met his Australian counterpart Malcolm Turnbull in Sydney on Saturday where the pair agreed to deepen defense ties through joint military training and exercises.
Abe’s visit to Australia is the first since Turnbull became prime minister in late 2015, and comes amid heightened regional tension as China asserts its claims over disputed territory in the South China Sea.
“We have confirmed our commitment to the rule of law, free trade and open markets in our region,” Turnbull told reporters at a joint press conference on Saturday.

Pew Survey: Ferguson Effect is real
ATLANTA (AP) — The so-called “Ferguson effect” – officers backing off of policing out of fear that their actions will be questioned after the fact – has been talked about but never really quantified. A new study suggests the effect is a reality, with three-quarters of officers surveyed saying they are hesitant to use force, even when appropriate, and are less willing to stop and question suspicious people.
The nonpartisan Pew Research Center questioned at least 8,000 officers from departments with at least 100 officers between May 19 and Aug. 14 last year – most of it ahead of the fatal shootings of five officers in Dallas and three officers in Baton Rouge.
What it found was a significant fear among police about their safety and about carrying out some of the everyday acts of policing.
It also shows a stark difference in how white and black officers view the protests that have taken place after some of the high-profile shootings of black suspects in the past several years, with black officers believing the protests are genuine acts of civil disobedience designed to hold police accountable, while white officers are more skeptical of the protesters’ motives.

If US President Barack Obama were uneducated, if his staff consisted of people who had never been taught history at school, if the government consisted of savages who have just emerged from the Amazon jungle, we could somehow “justify” their ignorance about the history of the Mediterranean and the Middle Eastern people.
But that is not what is going on. This ambush against Israel in UN Security Council Resolution 2334, which considers the Jewish people “occupiers” in their own ancient capital and the holiest part of it, is an act of jihad and an act of political violence – perpetrated by governments to achieve political goals.
This resolution did not randomly emerge from a historical moment, or as the result of political choices based on reasonable criteria to provide peace and stability in the region. It does not help either the Arabs living in the disputed territories — Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip – or the Israelis in any peace process. It is an act of vengeance against the foundations of Judeo-Christian civilization and should be treated as such. The Jewish nation has every right to consider this attack an act of war against it. It certainly is an act of war against the history of the Jews and the freedom, democracy, human rights, pluralism and rule of law that Israel represents in the Middle East.
Some people just aren’t on speaking terms with the truth.

Critics attacked, history revised as China nationalism rises
EIJING (AP) — Writer Lu Yong had merely wanted to show support for a professor who had taken flak online for criticizing Mao Zedong, the founder of the communist state who died more than four decades ago.
Yet minutes after raising a sign to defend Deng Xiangchao’s right to free speech, Lu found himself surrounded by a group of Mao supporters who grappled at his face. Other companions were punched and kicked.
Video taken hours later showed the Mao loyalists parading through the campus of eastern China’s Jinan University with large banners while chanting “Down with Deng Xiangchao, down with traitors.” Within days, Deng was forced to retire and stripped of his Communist Party titles. State media justified his dismissal.
Across China, a retrograde strain of populist nationalism is gaining strength as the ruling Communist Party intensifies its control over history and ideology. Those who question the party’s interpretations find their careers and reputations threatened, while their persecutors receive tacit and sometimes outright support from the authorities.
“They are shutting down speech that’s not aligned with the party,” said Feng Chongyi, a China scholar at Sydney’s University of Technology. “Populism and the manipulation of working class anger, combined with nationalism and xenophobia are the classic signs of Chinese totalitarianism.”
The Chinese president and party leader, Xi Jinping, is largely seen as setting the tone for the newly conformist attitude.
The son of a Mao confederate steeped in party lore, Xi set the tone shortly after taking power in 2012, with a major speech in which he said that the latter 30 years of Communist Party rule — a period of economic and political reform — should not be considered a repudiation of the first 30 years under Mao.
More recently, authorities have warned against liberal Western values in the classroom, rounded up lawyers and civil society activists — along with corrupt officials — and promoted a cult of personality around Xi likened to that surrounding Mao.
Earlier this week, the Education Ministry ordered that textbooks move the start of China’s war against Japanese invaders six years back to 1931, calling it a “14-year” war, apparently to broaden the scope of the struggle from which the party derives its legitimacy. Last year, a Beijing court found a writer guilty of libel after he challenged the veracity of a famous tale of Communist Party soldiers sacrificing themselves against the Japanese. Liberal editors of a respected history journal were ousted last year……

China has economic problems that make ours look small, (this by the way is why they will not try and collect most of what we owe them, if we collapse so do they) they have social problems that are one the level with ours and they have the additional problem of the 4 to 5 men/boys for everyone girl/woman. Since the normal ratio is 1.2 girls for every boy you can see the problem. China and India have this imbalance because of the one child policies in both nations. The imbalance in the western nations is smaller but it exists because of the availability of abortion and the drop to one child in many families. BREITBART – Cologne NYE: Police Claim More Syrians, Iraqis Were Stopped Than North Africans
Two weeks after New Year’s Eve Cologne police have changed their report on who they identified on the night, saying most of the men were not North Africans but rather were from Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Immediately after the New Year’s Eve celebrations in Cologne two weeks ago police were slammed by politicians and left-wing activists for the use of the term “Nafri” which they used to describe North African men. Cologne police have now announced that many of the men who they had to control on the night were not from North Africa but rather were from the Middle-East and Central Asia, Der Standard reports.
Police say that some 2,500 ID checks were made during the course of the evening in what the police had dubbed the “ring of steel” in the Cologne cathedral square. A total of 674 men were checked, some multiple times throughout the course of the evening, and of those, police could determine the nationality of 425 of them.
Iraqi nationals were the most numerous of those checked by authorities with 99 men stopped. Syrians were a close second with 94 men, and Afghan nationals were third with 48. North Africans were also present as police recorded 17 Morrocans and 13 Algerians. Forty-six German nationals were also examined by police.
Police addressed the issue after being accused of racial profiling by critics despite the New Year’s Eve celebrations going off largely without incident. The year before Cologne police had been, by many accounts, totally unprepared to handle the large group of men, primarily of North African origin, who fired fireworks into crowds, robbed, and sexually abused hundreds of women.
One year on, very few of the hundreds of estimated suspects have been tried or convicted. The number of finalised convictions for sexual assault crimes is so far a mere 5 men and only 18 final convictions for all crimes in total.
The police operation two weeks ago saw some 1,700 officers deployed and the entire area around the cathedral turned into a security zone. Despite the massive show of force, there were still two sexual assaults, six thefts, and 29 individuals were arrested on the night.
The security presence in other cities across Europe was also considerably increased but it did not stop at least 18 women from being the subject of sexual assault in the Austrian city of Innsbruck. So far, police have managed to arrest several Afghan asylum seekers in connection with the sex attacks but have warned there may still be more suspects at large.

Italy: Refugees protesting death of migrant clash with police in Florence
Protesters clashed with police outside the prefect’s office in Florence, Saturday, when a group of refugees and activists protesting the death of a refugee, which they blame on the authorities, attempted to enter the police office by force.
Protesters blamed the death of the refugee on the authorities, while riot police confronted the protesters with riot gear.
The protest came following the death of Ali, a 38-year-old man who died in a fire in a shed that was being used as a dormitory for asylum seekers in Sesto Fiorentino. Sesto Fiorentino authorities are now reportedly looking for alternative accommodation for the refugees.

Germany’s Merkel warns Trump against protectionism
Berlin (AFP) – German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned Saturday against protectionist tendencies of US President-elect Donald Trump, citing lessons learned in the 2008 global financial crash and stressing the need to “move forward together”.
“My profound conviction is that there are more advantages… to moving forward together than when everyone resolves their problems for themselves. I am truly convinced of this,” she told a press conference at a meeting of her CDU party.
Asked if she believed “protectionist tendencies” by Trump could pose a threat, Merkel recalled the example of the 2008 global financial crisis, which “came from the United States”.
“As heads of state and government (of the G20), we said: ‘We must resolve the problem facing us together,'” she said.

A German regional court has ruled that three men who used Molotov cocktails in July 2014 to torch a synagogue were not influenced by anti-Semitism.

An undercover reporter who visited 35 asylum centres throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland says security is so bad that they risk fomenting terrorism as radicals can easily infiltrate them and convert vulnerable people to their cause.
Investigative reporter and terrorism expert Shams Ul-Haq, 41, was only 15 years old and unable to speak a word of German when he came to Germany from Pakistan, much like many refugees nowadays.
He warns that the registration of asylum seekers and conditions found at shelters are so bad, that they could easily lead to dangerous situations across Europe. When he came to Germany in 1989, he was enrolled in school within a few days. “At that time, I found completely different conditions than the refugees do today,” he said.
Ul-Haq managed to get into 35 different asylum centres throughout the German-speaking region during the summer of 2015. He said: “Just very easily, by not shaving for a day and putting on some old clothes, I was inside.”

Obama’s Strange Pattern of Concessions to Cuba’s Communists
There seems to be something about Cuba’s military dictators that really fascinates our 44th president. Cuba was the first item President Barack Obama mentioned when he enumerated his foreign policy “achievements” in his farewell address; and with just a week to go, he has rushed anew to make concessions to the communists in Havana.
The concessions this time was to end what has been inelegantly known as “wet-foot, dry-foot.” This was a Clinton era amendment to LBJ’s 1966 Cuban Adjustment Act that allowed Cuban escapees who touched U.S. dry land to stay, but turned back to Havana those caught at sea.
Ending wet-foot, dry-foot doesn’t end the Adjustment Act, but it does renders it moot in most ways. The Act allows Cubans who have been in the U.S. for a year to receive permanent residency, while the Clinton amendment granted those who arrived through rafts or by crossing border a one-year temporary parole to wait for the Act to kick in.
Absent the one-year parole, it is harder for the special concession granted those who escaped from the communist island to kick in.

Incirlik and Diyarbakir are key bases for Coalition aircraft and Special Forces in their fight against Islamic State jihadists in Syria and Iraq – a foreign policy priority for Donald Trump, who takes office next week.
Britain operates more than 150 Special Forces soldiers from two bases in Turkey for ground operations in Syria and Iraq, while the US has 650. The bases also house spy drones, a squadron of A10 Thunderbolt aircraft and Chinook helicopters to provide support for Special Forces missions.
Those operations have successfully led to the killing or capture of ISIS commanders and a disruption of key networks.
Though re-basing ground troops elsewhere is possible, it would be “problematic”, sources said, particularly in the run up to a major offensive on Raqqa, the ISIS stronghold in Syria.
“Turkey is of strategic importance to the Coalition’s success against Daesh and there are ongoing discussions about the future footprint of the Coalition. Our removal would be a major setback, a massive setback.
“Contingency plans have been made to relocate forces, but this is not the route we want to take.”
Tensions have mounted over the coalition’s unwillingness to provide air support for Operation Euphrates Shield, a Turkish-led offensive aimed as much at preventing Kurdish forces from consolidating their power in its border regions as it is at destroying ISIS.
Turkey’s foreign and defence ministers joined president Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s official spokesman in suggesting the US and Britain could be |ocked out of the bases unless the new US administration reversed the policy.
It would not be the first time. In 2003, when Erdogan was Prime Minister, Ankara refused coalition forces permission to use the bases for the invasion of Iraq.
“It is sadly true that the Turkey-U.S. bilateral relationship is under severe strain said,” Mr Cavusoglu on Wednesday.
“A major reason is the United States’ continued insistence in Syria of working with a terrorist organization – YPG/PYD – which, like its conjoined twin, the PKK, is known to conduct and support incessant and barbaric terrorist attacks inside Turkey.”
Last night senior Ministry of Defence sources downplayed the rhetoric, with one saying; “There are contingency plans, but the feeling is that this is bluster aimed at reminding the new US administration that Turkey is an important ally.”
However others suggested the situation would come to an inevitable head within months, when Donald Trump refuses to comply because Kurdish support is too important in the war against ISIS.
“This poses a question mark over Turkey’s Nato commitment, and could see it becoming even more isolated,” said Dr Jonathan Eyal, of the RUSI think-tank.
“In many respects the damage with Nato has already been done. The post-coup purge means key Nato postings are being filled with substandard officers who are only being appointed because they are considered loyal, rather than efficient.
“But there’s no question that Incirlik and Diyarbakir are important bases.
“The timing of last week’s statement is no coincidence. Erdogan sees Trump as someone he can strike a deal with. But it’s a tall order.
“What happens when he sees that Trump’s position is no different from Obama’s?””

Russians forcing RAF to abort missions in Syria by ‘hacking into’ their systems (express, Jan 14, 2017)

“RUSSIAN electronic units are forcing RAF bomber crews to abort missions over Syria by hacking into their systems, sources revealed last night.
It is thought the attacks may be aimed at causing aircrews to hit wrong targets, leading to collateral damage in a bid to undermine Britain’s mission.
The news emerges as Russian premier Vladimir Putin stands accused of using increasingly sophisticated technology to launch cyber attacks in the US.
At least three sorties, two involving RAF Tornadoes, the other a Typhoon, were hacked over the last few weeks.
In two cases, the attacks were successfully intercepted by RAF weapons aircrew. However, both missions had to be aborted to void the possibility of bombs landing on incorrect targets.
In another case, a bomber was hit 30 seconds after it had already accurately dropped its payload, rendering the attack useless.
The incidents were witnessed by the crews of nearby Awacs surveillance aircraft.
Last night experts suggested that the attacks were disrupting the way RAF bombers were receiving GPS coordinates for targets on the ground, a “known vulnerability” which Russia is capitalizing on with what US Gen Ben Hodges recently described as an “eye watering” array of electronic jamming and disruption equipment.
These include the 1RL257 Krasukha-4 ground-based electronic warfare system,, photographed at Syria’s Hmeymim airbase last year.
Though ostensibly designed to provide Russian troops and bases with a shield against electronic warfare attacks, the mobile unit has the ability to launch long-range attacks of its own.
Russia is using Syria as a real-time testbed to trial sophisticated electronic warfare equipment capable of hacking into Nato systems.
“It is entirely feasible that Russia has targeted Tornadoes and Typhoons in this way,” said air defence expert Justin Bronk, of the Royal United Services Institute think-tank.
“The Russians are well aware that they simply cannot match Western precision-guided munition technology, and they cannot match us one-to-one.
“But Russia also knows that Britain’s ability to deliver guided munitions depends on access to GPS in the target area and good communications, so they have developed equipment to jam and interrupt both. They are very, very good at this.”
The RAF uses two type of targeting system, laser and GPS. While Laser is more difficult to jam, GPS is often preferred.
“GPS coordinates come from Combined Air and Space Operation Centre in Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, where they are checked off against a list of known red flag targets such as schools, and hospitals. It’s much easier to do this if GPS is being used to guide munitions, rather than laser,” he added.
When pilots are given new targets mid-flight, the GPS coordinates are transmitted by Awacs or River Joint reconnaissance aircraft. It is these signals that are being disrupted.
Moscow has already shown it is willing to use this technology in the Ukraine, where troops found phones and radios jammed for hours at a time. It has also targetted at least three UAV surveillance drones belonging to the Organization for Security and Cooperation, which were rendered blind and forced to return to base, as well as US drones.
“It entirely plausible that RAF aircraft have been targeted in this way, possibly because they wanted to see what they could do, or possibly to cause collateral damage,” said Air Commodore Dai Whittigham, who formerly commanded E-3D AWACS squadron.
“The problem with GPS is that the signal is very weak –it comes from a satellite in space – so it is considerably easier to hack or jam.
“If you interfere with the aiming system of an aircraft you have to be comfortable with the knowledge that it may cause unintended damage. We have seen that Russia doesn’t care about collateral damage in Syria.
“Crews are all trained to deal with electronic interference, as these cases have shown, though, of course, the missions were still aborted. In one way, then, they were successful.
“But fundamentally it shows that the UK is being responsible in taking no chances that ordnance is going to be dropped in the wrong place.””

The attack, which left her with a broken jaw in two places, shocked Austria when footage of the beating went viral.

She is accused of beating up another girl the day after the attack on Patricia, where Leonie is said to have kicked her in the face while two boys held her down.

Her gang hit Patricia 22 times in the head during the horrific attack on the young Polish schoolgirl.
One of the members, named as Ahmet K, or Abuu, later posted a picture of himself flexing his muscles with the caption, ‘Jawbreaker’.
He initially apologised for the attack but later posted: “To all those I offended, insulted or beaten. I do not give a s***. Next year I will do it better.”
Abuu, who was sentenced to six months’ probation for robbery in September, could face a prison sentence if convicted of the attack on Patricia.

“MIGRANT youth gangs have turned Sweden’s largest shopping centre into a “no-go zone” as they intimidate police, harass girls and deal drugs openly.
Gothenburg police have been forced implement extraordinary measures to cope with the increased number of incidents, which have left shoppers and business owners terrified of their workplace.
Nordstan is Sweden’s largest shopping centre in terms of sales and number of visitors, however once the shops close at 8pm, criminal youth gangs take over despite officers turning out in force.
Jonas Bergqvist, one of the team managers of the city police, told Expressen: “We have seen an increase since last autumn, with mostly unaccompanied minors who are staying here in North Town.
“In the evening they deal drugs and violence between fractions sometimes occur. If there are conflicts from their home countries, they bring them here.”
While his colleague Rikard Sorensen added the thugs was experiencing increasing levels of increasingly more aggressive toward police.
He said: “There is a lot of drugs circulating. I wouldn’t even let my son go down to North Town.
“There is a risk of robbery, but also harassment of girls.”
The shopping centre has become a central hub for youngsters to meet and despite Swedish teenagers also engaging in some of the incidents, the officials argued lone migrants from Afghanistan and Syria, in addition to Moroccan street children, were behind the drastic increase.
Just days after the busy centre was forced to close early on New Year’s Eve as thugs threatened to set off fireworks inside the building, around 150 teenagers also surrounded and threatened police officers, Mr Bergqvist said.
“There was an incident at Nordstadstorget and some policemen were surrounded by a large number of young people and they experienced the situation as threatening and called for reinforcements,” he revealed.
Other incidents at the shopping centre, which is located in south-west Sweden, include a teenager being robbed while a broken glass bottle was held to his throat, and a shopkeeper being threatened after he tried to stop thugs from stealing.
Mr Sorensen condemned the situation as he made a clear dig at the liberal country’s immigration policy, as many for the foreign youths wreaking havoc lacked identification papers.
Explaining the lack of documentation forced them to hand the detained vandals over to social services because they could not prove they were adults, the officer said it lead to the crooks being back on the streets within a short period of time.
“I’ve had people in front of me that look like they are 35, but who claim to be 15. I can’t prove they’re lying so we have to release them,” Mr Sorensen said.
The admission that Nordstan has become a lawless hotspot comes as Swedish police last year issued a report where it detailed incidents from more than 55 areas which it branded as “no-go zones”.
It detailed brutal attacks on police, sexual assaults, children carrying weapons and general turmoil sweeping across the country.
Malmo, Sweden’s third-largest city, has been embroiled in chaos as arsonists have torched cars across the city and on New Year’s Eve it was branded a “war zone” as police admitted they did not have control.”
