Trump has also taken heat for asking why McCain (RINO) is considered so brave for being captured. This may add some weight to the question.

I get why he did this. But the person typically thought of as brave, would be the people who refused to do this.

  5. First I don’t like McCain and wish he would retire from public life, preferably in a Trappist Monastery where he would have to keep his mouth shut.

    McCain was broken by torture, for those who say torture never works look at what he did to keep from being tortured. I don’t know all of the facts of his Naval career after he was released but he retired as a Naval Captain (pay grade O6 the same as an Army Colonel) I don’t know if he was ever trusted with a command after his release or not.

    If the right torture was used anyone can be broken but there were very few US POW’s broken in Nam.

    • Wasn’t he hung up by his wrists behind his back and then beaten with a stick? There is such a thing as an automatic reaction, and I think being tortured like that would trigger that reaction. I don’t really know that, though, not having been there myself.

      My only real problem with McCain is the way he kept pushing for war with Bashar al-Assad. Why’d he do that? I’m with Donald Trump in that I’m for anybody who’s against radical Islam. Al-Assad was considered OK for decades and then suddenly he just had to be removed from office by military force because he’s mean to terrorists. I could never understand McCain’s thinking. It’s kind of like attacking Russia in 1940 because they don’t hold free elections and they hate the Nazis. Wrong choice…

      • I think his mind has been taken over by the MB.
        Maybe Defense Dept contractors have a piece of it too. Never a war that didn’t look right to him.
