“A Syrian-born preacher was shot dead by a former soldier in a contract killing ordered by the brother of a Boney M singer.
Iraqi war veteran Leslie Cooper, 37, executed Abdul Hadi Arwani, 48, with a MAC-10 machine gun as he sat in his Volkswagen Passat in Wembley, northwest London.
The hit was ordered by mosque ‘ruler’ Khalid Rashad, 62, the brother of singer Liz Mitchell, who fronted the 1970s chart-topping disco band.
Rashad had been locked in a legal battle with Mr Arwani as he tried to oust him from the An-Noor Cultural and Community Centre in Church Road, Acton.
Cooper and Rashad – both Jamaican-born Muslim converts – were jailed for at least 32 years each for the murder earlier this year after a trial.
The case could not be reported while Rashad awaited trial for possessing plastic explosives and ammunition in the garage of his suburban home near Wembley Stadium.
Rashad converted to Islam in 1993 and changed his name from Brunel Mitchel.
Mr Arwani discovered his belongings had been removed from the building and the locks to his office had been changed in 2011.
He left the centre and in June 2012 began legal proceedings seeking an order of the court to reinstate him as a member and director of ANT.
‘It was the dispute between Mr Rashad and Mr Arwani regarding the control and ownership of the mosque that provided the motive for the shooting, and was the reason Khalid Rashad recruited his friend, Leslie Cooper, to carry out his dirty work,’ said prosecutor Jonathan Rees QC…”

“Islamic Jihad plotted to blow up Israeli wedding hall, kidnap IDF soldier
Four men indicted for planning attacks under the instruction of a senior Islamic Jihad official in Gaza.
Security forces announced Thursday that they had thwarted an Islmaic Jihad plot to carry out a terror attack at a wedding hall in the South and to kidnap and kill an IDF soldier for the purposes of bargaining with Israel.
Mahmoud Yousef Hassin abu-Taha, a resident of Khan Younis in Gaza, was arrested last month while entering Israel through the Erez Crossing, ostensibly for purposes of commerce.
Abu-Taha was enlisted by Wael Sufian abu-Taha, a senior Islamic Jihad official in Gaza. He instructed abu-Taha to form a cell in order to carry out a terror attack in the South and to kidnap a soldier to be used in a prisoner swap deal, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) said.
The three men who Abu-Taha enlisted to help him with the attacks were also arrested.
One of the suspects, 55-year-old Shafik Hamed Ahmed abu-Taha was illegally residing in Israel and was an employee of the wedding hall that the cell planned to attack. A second suspect, 39-year-old Ahmed Tisir Abdulrahman abu-Taha from Gaza, was also illegally residing in Israel. A third suspect, a 40-year-old from Deir al-Balah in Gaza, was living in the South legally after having gained residency through marriage by way of the “family reunification” law.
The suspects had carried out reconnaissance at the wedding hall, devising a plan that would claim the lives of a maximum number of victims, the Shin Bet stated.
At the same time, Mahmoud began planning the kidnapping of the soldier, receiving thousands of shekels from Wael abu-Taha in order to rent an apartment in Israel to which he planned to lure a soldier. According to the Shin Bet, Abu Taha planned to kill the soldier, bury him and send his belongings back to Gaza to use as bargaining chips with Israel.
“This grave affair yet again exhibits the efforts of terrorist elements in Gaza to carry out murderous terror attacks in Israel,” the Shin Bet stated.
The affair also shows the way in which terrorists take advantage of entry permits to Israel, given for humanitarian porpoises to improve the economy of Gaza, the Shin Bet said.
In addition, the terror plot shows the danger posed by Palestinians illegally residing in Israel, the Shin Bet warned.”

Fed risks repeating Lehman blunder as US recession storm gathers

The risk of a US recession next year is rising fast. The Federal Reserve has no margin for error.
Liquidity is suddenly drying up. Early warning indicators from US ‘flow of funds’ data point to an incipent squeeze, the long-feared capitulation after five successive quarters of declining corporate profits.
Yet the Fed is methodically draining money through ‘reverse repos’ regardless. It has set the course for a rise in interest rates in December and seems to be on automatic pilot.
“We are seeing a serious deterioration on a monthly basis,” said Michael Howell from CrossBorder Capital, specialists in global liquidity. The signals lead the economic cycle by six to nine months.
“We think the US is heading for recession by the Spring of 2017. It is absolutely bonkers for the Fed to even think about raising rates right now,” he said.
The growth rate of nominal GDP – a pure measure of the economy – has been in an unbroken fall since the start of the year, falling from 4.2pc to 2.5pc. It is close to stall speed, flirting with levels that have invariably led to recessions in the post-War era.
“It is a little scary. When nominal GDP slows like that, you can be sure that financial stress will follow. Monetary policy is too tight and the slightest shock will tip the US into recession,” said Lars Christensen, from Markets and Money Advisory.
If allowed to happen, it will be a deeply frightening experience, rocking the global system to its foundations. The Bank for International Settlements estimates that 60pc of the world economy is locked into the US currency system, and that debts denominated in dollars outside US jurisdiction have ballooned to $9.8 trillion.

Duterte says U.S. has lost, aligns Philippines with China

Suspected Islamic State-inspired militant stabs three Indonesian police
JAKARTA (Reuters) – A suspected supporter of Islamic State stabbed and wounded three Indonesian police on Thursday in what appeared to be the latest violence inspired by the militant group in the world’s biggest Muslim-majority nation.
The man also threw a pipe bomb which failed to explode during the rush hour attack in Tangerang, on the outskirts of Jakarta, police said.
He was shot and died of his wounds, a police spokesman said, while the three victims were being treated in hospital.
A second pipe bomb and a large IS sticker were found at the scene, police said.
Indonesian authorities are increasingly worried about a resurgence in radicalism in Southeast Asia’s largest economy, driven in part by a new generation of militants inspired by Islamic State.
“Two of (the police) were stabbed in the arm and chest. Then the attacker walked around showing off his weapon, walking to the police post and shouting ‘Allahu akbar’ (God is greatest),” Mohammad Isa Ansori, deputy police chief of Tangerang district, told Reuters.

Iran’s war in Iraq: Waged by terror chief Qassem Soleimani, directly supported by Obama

Let’s take a moment to focus on a reality that has been staring us in the face for more than two years.
The Obama administration has been directly supporting the operations of the Iranian Qods Force in Iraq, both by bankrolling the Iranian government through the nuclear “agreements” with Iran, and by providing air support to the battles waged by Iran-backed forces on the ground.
The Iranian general in charge of planning and orchestrating those battles, Qassem Soleimani, is the commander of the Iranian Qods Force: the paramilitary force that trains terrorists and proxy “militias,” including Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis in Yemen, and the Shia Basij militias in Iraq (known collectively as the Popular Mobilization Force, or PMF).
Soleimani, a top orchestrator of terrorism, has been under U.S. sanctions for arms proliferation since 2007. He was under UN and EU sanctions until they were lifted with implementation of the nuclear JCPOA in January 2016. (Notably, this meant that he wasn’t supposed to be visiting Iraq at all in the period when he was coordinating military operations there in 2014 and 2015. So much for tough “travel sanctions.”)
Yet Obama has been providing direct military support to Soleimani’s battles in Iraq, and enabling Iran to pay for his activities, by releasing funds to Iran – some of them literally payments from the U.S. taxpayer – under the provisions of the Joint Plan of Action of November 2013, and the JCPOA of July 2015.

Her response immediately after the shooting in June included her observation that “the Orlando terrorist may be dead, but the virus that poisoned his mind remains very much alive. We must attack it with clear eyes, steady hands and unwavering determination in pride in our country and our values.” Maybe she could clarify now exactly who she thinks the enemy is. Regardless of her answer, Mateen’s father, Seddique Mir Mateen, has come out in support of Clinton. Does that make Hillary guilty by association?

Recently, LU ran an item from Campus Reform in its Web Crawler section that revealed that students interviewed on the campus of Georgetown University were unable to name a single accomplishment of Hillary Clinton in her three decades of public service. Those students shouldn’t be judged too harshly since the Democratic nominee doesn’t even know what planet she’s living on, much less where her views generally fall on the ideological spectrum.
The critique in the previous paragraph is not mine. It is the considered opinion of Neera Tanden, formerly of the far-left Center for American Progress, and currently in the running for White House chief of staff under President Hillary Clinton.
In September 2015, a frustrated Tanden wrote to Clinton Campaign Chairman John Podesta (via WikiLeaks):
Podesta answered back, “I pushed her on this on Sunday night. She claims she didn’t remember saying it. Not sure I believe her,” to which Tanden rejoined, “Why did she call herself a moderate?”
Germans Leaving Germany ‘In Droves’
A growing number of Germans are abandoning neighborhoods in which they have lived all their lives, and others are leaving Germany for good, as mass immigration transforms parts of the country beyond recognition.
Data from the German statistics agency, Destatis, shows that 138,000 Germans left Germany in 2015. More are expected to emigrate in 2016. In a story on brain drain titled, “German talent is leaving the country in droves,” Die Welt reported that more than 1.5 million Germans, many of them highly educated, left Germany during the past decade.
The statistics do not give a reason why Germans are emigrating, but anecdotal evidence indicates that many are waking up to the true cost — financial, social and cultural — of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s decision to allow more than one million mostly Muslim migrants to enter the country in 2015. At least 300,000 more migrants are expected to arrive in Germany in 2016, according to Frank-Jürgen Weise, the head of the country’s migration office, BAMF.
Mass migration has — among many other problems — contributed to a growing sense of insecurity in Germany, which is facing a spike in migrant crime, including an epidemic of rapes and sexual assaults. Mass migration is also accelerating the Islamization of Germany. Many Germans appear to be losing hope about the future direction of their country.

Turkey’s Land-Grab Wish List
Each time in recent history that Turkey’s pro-Sunni neo-Ottomans opted for assertive foreign policy in this turbulent part of the world, there were more casualties and no happy ending for any state- or non-state actor, including President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s Turkey. As multiple asymmetrical wars in the triangle of Turkey, Syria and Iraq turn more violent and complex, with the U.S.-led international campaign fighting jihadists — while Iran and Russia try to win proxy wars — Turkey keeps raising the stakes with the risky nonsensical wish to revive its imperial past. Erdogan looks determined to fight any war in the hope that all will end with Turkish-Sunni dominance in the region. He is wrong.
In his recent speeches Erdogan often revisited a long-forgotten Arabic phrase that is so dear to every Turk’s heart and mind: Misak-i Milli (“National Contract”).
On February 12, 1920, the last Ottoman parliament proclaimed a set of decisions which Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founder of modern Turkey, adopted as “the main principle of our independence.” Misak-i Milli, among other principles, set modern Turkey’s borders; it was a guideline to determine where the borders of the Turkish Republic would start and end. It would be used as the basis for the new Turkish Republic’s claims in the Treaty of Lausanne.
According to Misak-i Milli, “the future of the territories inhabited by an Arab majority at the time of the signing of the Armistice of Mudros shall be determined by a referendum.” On the other hand, the territories which were not occupied at that time and inhabited by a Turkish majority are the homeland of the Turkish nation. The status of Kars, Ardahan (Turkish provinces since then) and Batumi (a province in the Republic of Georgia) may be determined by a referendum. The status of Western Thrace (in Greece) will be determined by the votes of its inhabitants. Misak-i Milli also claimed that the former Ottoman province of Mosul should be a Turkish province. Instead, Mosul was first left to British control, then became an Iraqi province. Mosul is now Iraq’s second largest city, but tenuously under the control of the Islamic State (ISIS).

I will disagree with him on one point, this isn’t a large group of small to medium wars, what he is calling individual wars are different campaigns in one large war to determine who is going to lead Islam in the 21st Century? Iraqi Yazidis who fled the invasions and massacres of the Islamic State in 2014 and arrived in Turkey have not been given a legal status (“refugees” or “persons benefiting from temporary protection”) by the Turkish government.
An official of the prime ministry’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said that Yazidis in their camp in the city of Mardin have been given “AFAD cards” with which they can benefit from health services in the camp.

OIC lists Gülen network as ‘terror group’
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Oct. 19 listed the movement of U.S.-based Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen, believed to be behind Turkey’s July 15 coup attempt, as a terrorist organization, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu has said.
“We thank the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for showing solidarity by understanding our sensitivities and declaring [the Fethullah Terror Organization] FETÖ as a terror group,” Cavusoglu posted on his Twitter account, describing the OIC’s move as a “milestone.”
The OIC’s Parliamentary Union, meeting in the Uzbekistan capital Tashkent on Oct. 18, denounced all forms of terrorism in a joint declaration.
The body issued a declaration following the meeting expressing its solidarity with Turkey in fighting terror.
Last week, foreign ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states also designated FETÖ a terrorist group and stressed its support for Ankara’s crackdown on the network.
Founded in 1969, the OIC, with a current membership of 57 states, is the second-largest inter-governmental organization after the U.N. and describes itself as “the collective voice of the Muslim world.” Turkey has been a member since 1969 and holds the presidency of the organization, taking over the duty this year.

Muslims call for Norway minister to resign after pork post
Norwegian Muslims have called on the country’s integration minister to step down after she said that immigrants should adapt to a culture of pork, alcohol and no face-veils.
Sylvi Listhaug, a minister appointed by the anti-immigrant Progress Party, caused outrage on Monday when she made an incendiary post on the eve of an national integration conference.
“I think those who come to Norway need to adapt to our society. Here we eat pork, drink alcohol and show our face. You must abide by the values, laws and regulations that are in Norway when you come here,” she wrote in a post that was ‘liked’ by 20,000 people.
Omar Gilani Syed, a criminologist who has worked with integrating refugees, asked whether Listhaug could continue to be responsible for integration in the country while making such statements.
“If she does not understand the complexity and does not have the expertise to deal with these social issues in a good way, it’s time to ask: should Listhaug reconsider her position?” he wrote in the Aftenposten newspaper.
He accused Listhaug of putting electoral advantage above the needs of her nation.
“Is this yet another populist statement with the aim to gathering as many as possible votes?” he asked. “For myself, I become frightened and uneasy at the thought of an integration minister who sweeps the really big problems under the carpet and reduces the whole integration debate to dealing with pork and alcohol.”
Zaineb Al-Samarai, an politician in Oslo for Norway’s Labour Party, accused Listhaug of deliberately seeking to divide Muslim immigrants from the rest of Norwegian society.
“If you are to be Integration Minister, you must begin to integrate,” she wrote in an article in Dagbladet. “Do not frighten and separate people.”
“I do not believe that Norwegian culture is so weak that it’s going to lay down and die if someone chooses to wear a hijab as their national costume,” she continued. “Norwegian culture is not as weak or in danger as you believe. And Norwegian culture is about a lot more than pork and headgear.”
Norway’s government, a coalition between the centre-right Conservative Party and the populist anti-immigrant Progress Party, has been coming down hard on Norwegian Muslims over the last week.
Prime Minister Erna Solberg said in an interview connected with Tuesday’s conference that she personally would not employ someone wearing the Islamic Niqab face veil.
“No, you probably wouldn’t get a job from me or from many others if you were wearing a niqab on you,” Solberg told NRK.
Meanwhile, Siv Jensen, who leads the Progress Party and serves as Finance Minister, on Wednesday accused Muslim woman of wearing the Niqab simply to provoke a reaction.
“I believe those who choose to wear it desire to provoke,” she said. “I would find it smarter if they instead used their time and energy to adapt themselves to Norwegian society.”

Russia Is Deploying The Largest Naval Force Since The Cold War For Syria: NATO Diplomat
Just moments ago we reported that in the latest escalation involving Syria, the Russian aircraft carrier Kuznetsov was now sailing past Norway on its way to Syria, where it is expected to arrive in just under 2 weeks. As part of the carrier naval group, Russia also deployed an escort of seven other Russian ships, which we dubbed the “most powerful Russian naval task force to sail in northern Europe since 2014” according to Russia’s Nezavisimaya Gazeta daily reports.
It turns out it it was even bigger, because according to a NATO diplomat cited by Reuters, Russia is “deploying all of the Northern fleet and much of the Baltic fleet in the largest surface deployment since the end of the Cold War,” the diplomat said on condition of anonymity.
“This is not a friendly port call. In two weeks, we will see a crescendo of air attacks on Aleppo as part of Russia’s strategy to declare victory there,” the diplomat said.
An intensified air campaign in eastern Aleppo, where 275,000 people are trapped, would further worsen ties between Moscow and the West, according to the diplomat who added that “With this assault, it should be enough to allow a Russian exit strategy if Moscow believes Assad is now stable enough to survive.”

Russia’s Large Aircraft Carrier Leads Warships Towards Mediterranean
Four Russian navy warships are on their way to the Mediterranean Sea led by Russia’s large and only aircraft-carrier Admiral Kuznetsov.
The contingent from Russia’s Northern Fleet was spotted sailing past the Norwegian city of Bergen Wednesday, after the fleet announced the deployment in state media over the weekend.
Besides Admiral Kuznetsov, the Kremlin is also deploying the nuclear missile cruiser Peter the Great, as well as the large anti-submarine ships Severomorsk and Vice-Admiral Kulakov.
The four vessels are currently nearing northern Scotland, with Peter the Great leading the formation between the Faroe Islands and the Shetland Islands, according to Russian navy tracking site Flot. The Russian navy currently has six other vessels deployed in Mediterranean waters, three of which are landing ships.
The arrival of the air carrier, possibly within two week’s time, would serve as a big boost to Russian military capabilities near Syria, where Western partners have been unable to make Russia follow its earlier pledge to a ceasefire.
The deploying strengthens Moscow’s hand in the fight for Aleppo, where Russian forces have supported Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime, despite appeals for a truce.
The Russian Ministry of Defence vowed to begin a “humanitarian pause” of airstrikes Wednesday, though it is unclear if the arrival of Admiral Kuznetsov will change that commitment.
A NATO official said that although Russia has the right to “operate in international waters,” the alliance is planning to monitor the Russian ships as they make their way towards the Mediterranean, likely passing a number of NATO allies in the process.
“At the same time, the deployment of the carrier group to the eastern Mediterranean does not inspire confidence that Russia is working towards a political solution to the conflict in Syria,” he added.

As the police reported, an unknown perpetrator was supposed to have stabbed the youths under the Kennedy Bridge on Sunday evening. The teenager died shortly afterwards in the hospital of his serious injuries.
According to the investigations so far, the perpetrator had suddenly come from the rear of the youth, and he has then repeatedly stabbed his victim, presumably with a knife. After the attack, the man pushed the boy’s 15-year-old companion into the Alster. The girl could save herself from the water, it was said. The victim and his companion, according to media reports, were a pair – the police wanted to confirm on request that the two knew each other. Whether they knew the perpetrator was unclear.

Palestinian Militants in Nablus Rebelling Against Palestinian Authority
Sun-bleached posters of Palestinian militants adorn storefronts in the Balata neighborhood of Nablus in the West Bank in tribute to those killed in an uprising that faded more than a decade ago. But rebelliousness remains in Balata, much of it directed at the Palestinian Authority rather than Israel. Since June, four police officers have been killed by gunmen and four Nablus residents have died at the hands of police. Palestinian security officers say a recent crackdown is part of a campaign to restore order and break up gangs. With arms trade flowing freely in Nablus, gunfire at night is a regular occurrence.
“Nablus is the epicenter of the anti-Abbas movement in Palestine right now,” said Grant Rumley, a fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. “The longer Abbas goes on in this stagnant rule, where Fatah remains divided, and factions are positioning themselves for a post-Abbas vacuum, the more instability there is. Palestinians: Fatah Prepares for War with Israel

The international community continues to perceive Fatah as the “moderate” Palestinian party with whom Israel should make peace. Yet Fatah is far from a single united bloc; many groups within the faction continue to seek the “liberation of Palestine” through armed struggle. Moreover, neither Abbas nor any of his senior Fatah loyalists have repudiated the war-set Fatah militias. Crucially, many of these Fatah militiamen continue to receive salaries from the Palestinian Authority.
These Fatah gunmen who are preparing for war with Israel are indirectly receiving their salaries from Western donors, including the US and many EU countries, who fund the Palestinian Authority.
These groups believe that they represent the real Fatah, the one that never recognized Israel’s right to exist and holds on to armed struggle as the only way to “liberate Palestine.” They are not breakaway groups. That is why they continue to operate under the name of Fatah.
Fatah is a two-faced hydra; one face tells the English-speaking international community what it wants to hear, namely, that it supports a two-state solution and seeks a peaceful settlement to the conflict with Israel, while the other tells the truth: it is committed to an armed struggle and the “liberation of Palestine,” and is even preparing for war with Israel.

The core issue came into focus with the very first question asked by Chris Wallace. Wallace asked Hillary and Trump if their vision for the Supreme Court was based on the Constitution or not. Hillary launched into a spiel about a Supreme Court that would stand for class warfare and gay rights. The only time she mentioned the Constitution was when she insisted that the Senate was constitutionally obligated to confirm Obama’s nominee. That is her vision of the Constitution; a document that grants her power to reshape the country without regard to the Founders or any previously existing rights or freedoms.
It fell to Trump to speak of justices who would “interpret the Constitution the way the founders wanted it interpreted”. And that is the core issue. Personalities and politicians come and go. Today’s trending topic has been forgotten a day later. Outrages explode like fireworks and then fizzle out.

While the majority of individual Muslims in the West are decent, law-abiding citizens, the nature of their communal structures and leadership gives rise to concerns that are briskly swept under the carpet. Many, if not most, mosques are officiated by imams trained abroad in madrasas that inculcate a belligerent attitude to Western values and lifestyles, which, in turn, gives rise to Islamic extremism. To the Muslim communities’ credit, Islamist groups have usually been small in size, drawing on only a limited number of active adherents. The Islamists do, however, pose serious security threats and are potentially capable of inflicting appreciable harm.
What compounds the problem is the fact that too few Muslim community leaders are genuinely utterly and unequivocally appalled by any manifestation of Islamic terrorism, no matter who the slain and injured happen to be. In the wake of the slaying on October 2, 2015, of a NSW police department employee by a young Muslim gunman, the Grand Mufti of Australia rationalized the incident as being due to “racism, Islamophobia, curtailing freedoms through securitization, duplicitous foreign policies and military intervention.”[1] Needless to say, the Grand Mufti made no reference to any features within his own Muslim community that could possible engender terrorism.

Russia has purportedly exposed Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama as complicit for the turmoil in the Middle East, and now they are working feverishly to quiet those revelations by claiming that Russia is hijacking the election. Mr. Trump must use his platform to further expose the ugly truth about Hillary Clinton and her dangerous agenda. If he doesn’t, we have everything to lose.
Mrs. Clinton understands full well that Benghazi is a representation of what happens when world leaders play with fire — and that fire is Islam. The attack on our embassy and CIA compound in Libya was not an isolated Muslim attack on Americans because of an inflammatory video against Islam. Rather, it was a demonstration of what happens when two sects of Islam are represented by powerful nations, each side seeking the defeat of the other. Though the attack on Sept. 11, 2012 and the deaths of four men seem to be a mere bump in the road for Mrs. Clinton, the precipitating event and the aftermath reverberate today.
