    Mr Soros also admitted the free movement policy, enforced by Brussels bureaucrats, has caused an overwhelming dislike for the union among Britons.

    He said: “The European migration crisis and the Brexit debate fed on each other.

    “The Leave campaign exploited the deteriorating refugee situation – symbolised by frightening images of thousands of asylum-seekers concentrating in Calais, desperate to enter Britain by any means necessary – to stoke fear of ‘uncontrolled’ immigration from other EU member states.

    “And the European authorities delayed important decisions on refugee policy in order to avoid a negative effect on the British referendum vote, thereby perpetuating scenes of chaos like the one in Calais.”

    The billionaire was speaking after Britain’s decision to ditch Brussels and said the momentous vote has put the union in jeopardy.

    He said: “Tensions among member states have reached a breaking point, not only over refugees, but also as a result of exceptional strains between creditor and debtor countries within the eurozone.””

He finances all left wing groups that are working to destroy the west and then turns around and gets upset with Merkel for working to destroy the west.       Your manipulative tactics are transparent to those who watch you. You criticize Merkel for following your plan. This serves the purpose of distancing you from the danger signaled by the Brexit failure just in case the pitchforks are pointed at you. It places on record your paltry sophistry–of course what you say rings true–that is in fact a rhetorical salve to obfuscate your Open Border, Marxist intentions. You can deny anything except your actions.

      Did you not enable migrant passage with pamphlets instructing them how to get through Europe? Do you not finance countless “progressive” organizations intent on thrashing western societal values and institutions? (But like every good little communist you have no idea how to build anything better than what you just tore down.)

      Do you see Victor Orban and his belief in the sovereign state as the enemy? You do, therefore you are an enemy of Freedom.

      So here you are stating the most self-evident observations which are in fact a report card of what you set out to accomplish. You are very rich indeed, but money doesn’t make the man.

      No one lies like a communist. The bigger the better. Criticizing Merkel now, after all that you’ve done, must mean that she has no more use for you and that something has changed.

      You know that your objectives must be fulfilled before the wheels fall off the Keynesian bus. It’s a race. Only the continued flow of debt can finance leftist policies. Once this music stops it is back to the natural order; homogeneity and borders. Law and order. Fundamentals. Family values. Right and wrong without relativism. Common sense.

    “Nearly all large US banks have passed the Federal Reserve’s annual stress test, with only US operations of Deutsche Bank and Santander failing.

    The test is designed to judge whether banks operating in the US can weather a major economic downturn.

    Santander Holdings and Deutsche Bank Trust Corp had already failed last year.

    The Fed said that “broad and substantial weaknesses” persisted in the banks’ capital planning.

    While all 31 large US banks passed the test, Morgan Stanley only got conditional approval and has to submit a new capital plan by the end of the year.

    For Germany’s Deutsche Bank it was the second year that the subsidiary of the German lender failed the test while for Spain’s Santander it was the third time.

    While the Fed noted improvements for the two banks, the regulator said there were continued substantial weaknesses…”

    • American Banks are required by law to maintain the ability to absorb a loss of between 5 and 10 percent of all outstanding loans. The European banks aren’t and most of them are lucky if they have enough set aside to comver 3 percent of their outstanding loans.

  6. Democratic members of the Federal Election Commission, in a decision to be made public on Thursday, voted last month to punish Fox News over criteria changes for the network’s first Republican presidential primary debate – but were blocked by Republican commissioners.

    Commissioner Lee Goodman, one of those who voted to block the move, confirmed the details of the vote to FoxNews.com.

    He called the attempt to punish Fox News over the debate changes “astonishing” and described it as a move toward censorship.

    “All press organizations should be concerned when the government asserts regulatory authority to punish and censor news coverage,” Goodman said in a statement.

    The vote concerned changes made to the criteria for the Fox News-hosted GOP primary debate on Aug. 6, 2015 in Cleveland. For that debate, Fox News decided to alter the format – hosting two debates instead of one and expanding the first debate to include lower-polling candidates, as well as any candidate identified as such in national polls. Seven candidates ultimately participated in the first debate, and 10 participated in the prime-time event.

    SINGAPORE: A Facebook user who threatened to “open fire” on the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community was charged on Thursday (Jun 30) for encouraging violence towards the LGBT community in Singapore.

    On Jun 4, Bryan Lim wrote that he wanted to “open fire” and “protect his nation” in response to a post on foreign funding of Pink Dot, an annual event organised in support of the LGBT community.

    “I am a Singaporean citizen. I am a NSman. I am a father. And I swore to protect my nation,” the 36-year-old Lim wrote on Jun 4. “Give me the permission to open fire. I would like to see these £@€$^*s die for their causes.”

    Switzerland denies citizenship to Muslim immigrant girls who refused to swim with boys: report

    The Swiss government recently rejected citizenship for two Muslim immigrant girls who refused to swim with boys in a coed class at school, USA Today said Tuesday, citing reports from Swiss media outlets.

    “The girls, whose names were not disclosed, said their religion prevents them from participating in compulsory swimming lessons with males in the pool at the same time,” USA Today reported. “Their naturalization application was rejected because the sisters did not comply with the school curriculum, Basel authorities said.”

    “In Switzerland, unlike in the United States and many other countries, integration into society is more important for naturalization than knowledge of national history or politics,” USA Today explained. “Candidates for citizenship must prove that they are well assimilated in their communities and respect local customs and traditions.”

    European Union leaders met for the first time without Britain on Wednesday less than a week after it voted to leave, delivering a tough message that London can access the bloc’s lucrative single market only if it agrees to allow free movement for EU workers.

      “Let’s cut between us a sensible tariff free deal and thereafter recognize that the United Kingdom will be your friend – that we will trade with you – we will cooperate with you – we will be your best friends in the world. But do that, do it sensibly and allow usto go off and pursue our global ambitions in the future. Thank you.”

      Farage made a mistake by suggesting the EU reserved ANY power to allow any control over the UK – whatsoever. The additional suggestion that the UK would cooperate immediately implied the migrant crisis with regard tot he UK will continue unabated.

    Neighbours near the house in Mississauga, Ont., that exploded yesterday, killing a woman and severely damaging several other homes, say they’ve found letters near the scene that they find disturbing.

    Afghanistan’s national security adviser has accused Pakistan, without directly naming the country, of providing financial and logistical support to Islamic State (IS) fighters in Afghanistan.

    Hanif Atmar told journalists Wednesday in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, that his country’s security forces this week arrested three IS fighters led by a militant from the central Asian country of Tajikistan, and interrogations of the men revealed they were receiving support from abroad.

    “We know where they received their training, who gave them arms, who gave them money, and who supported them,” Atmar said. The majority of IS fighters in Afghanistan, he added, came from Pakistan and had identity documents that proved their citizenship.   14. A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit alleging that a reclusive Muslim cleric in Pennsylvania orchestrated human rights abuses in his native Turkey, ruling the claims did not belong in U.S. courts.

    Turkey’s government funded the civil suit against Fethullah Gulen as part of a crackdown on the cleric and his movement by President Recep Erdogan.

    It claimed Gulen ordered sympathetic police, prosecutors and judges in Turkey to target members of a rival spiritual movement critical of his teachings.

    U.S. District Judge Robert Mariani in Scranton threw out the suit, ruling the plaintiffs “offer only circumstantial and tenuous allegations of a connection between Gulen’s domestic conduct and the violations of plaintiffs’ rights in Turkey.”

  22. A Muslim cleric has been charged in a Shanzu court in Mombasa with defiling his three-year-old daughter.

    Mr Mohamed Ahmed alias Ustadhi, who appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Diana Mochache, denied the charges.

    The court heard that the accused defiled the minor when her mother had gone to attend to other duties away from home.

  26. A terrorist infiltrated the West Bank community of Kiryat Arba and wounded two Israeli civilians in an attack on Thursday morning.

    Security forces shot and subdued the attacker at the scene on the outskirts of Hebron.

    Magen David Adom paramedics were treating one wounded person at the scene in life-threatening condition and evacuated a second wounded person in serious condition to Shaare Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

    One of the guns used in the November 13, 2015 Paris terrorist attacks came from Phoenix, Arizona where the Obama administration allowed criminals to buy thousands of weapons illegally in a deadly and futile “gun-walking” operation known as “Fast and Furious.”

    A Report of Investigation (ROI) filed by a case agent in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) tracked the gun used in the Paris attacks to a Phoenix gun owner who sold it illegally, “off book,” Judicial Watch’s law enforcement sources confirm. Federal agents tracing the firearm also found the Phoenix gun owner to be in possession of an unregistered fully automatic weapon, according to law enforcement officials with firsthand knowledge of the investigation.

  28. Kazakhstan says Salafists behind foiled attack plot

    June 30 (Reuters) – Salafists, the followers of an ultra-conservative school of Islam, were behind a planned attack foiled by Kazakh security services, the head of national security committee KNB said on Thursday.

    KNB said on Wednesday it had detained several members of a group which planned “terrorist acts using improvised explosive devices”. One of the suspects had killed himself by detonating such a device.

    Speaking to reporters on Thursday, KNB head Vladimir Zhumakanov said the six detainees were Salafists, but added they had no links to those behind a deadly attack in the city of Aktobe earlier this month.

  32. Merkel says German parliament to have a say in EU-Canada trade deal

    BERLIN (Reuters) – The German parliament will be asked to vote on an EU-Canada trade deal, Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Thursday, appearing to contradict European Commission plans for a simple approval procedure.

    “It is, however, a highly political agreement, which will be widely discussed,” Merkel said during a news conference with leaders from Bosnia and Herzegovina, adding that the Bundestag lower house of parliament will have a say before the government would decide on any ratification of the agreement.

    The European Commission will on July 5 propose that the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) would be an “EU-only” agreement. This would mean it would be adopted if backed by representatives of member states and by the European Parliament.

    Sure it looks bad. Sure it looks like a potential conflict of interest. Former President Bill Clinton, whose wife is under investigation by the FBI, met with Attorney General Loretta Lynch at the Phoenix airport on Tuesday. The pair chatted for half an hour, on subjects ranging from grandkids to golf.

    It might sound innocent if it were a just chance meeting, though chance encounters just don’t happen with high-visibility people like this. Besides, this was not a casual chat inside the terminal. The tête-à-tête took place aboard Lynch’s government-provided private jet.

    • For those who don’t know much about how the American Government works, the Attorney General is in charge of the Justice Department. The FBI (the Federal police organization that is investigating Hillary Clinton) is part of the Justice Department.

      Translation: The fix is in and this public meeting says they don’t care if you know that Hillary is above the law.

    • French President Hollande endorses Clinton

      French President François Hollande endorsed Hillary Clinton in a newspaper article published Thursday, likening Republican Donald Trump’s nativist bombast to anti-immigrant movements across Europe.

      Hollande said “the best thing the Democrats can do is to get Hillary Clinton elected” in the article, published Thursday in France’s Les Echos newspaper. The socialist president also said electing Trump “would complicate relations between Europe and the U.S.” and agreed with the notion that it would be dangerous.

      Trump’s isolationist rhetoric likely sounds familiar to Hollande, who faces strong opposition from Marine Le Pen, the outspoken leader of France’s National Front party. Le Pen, a vocal immigration opponent, has called for France to follow in the footsteps of the United Kingdom and leave the European Union.

      Holland compared Trump’s pledges on immigration, including promises to build a southern border wall and temporarily ban Muslims from entering the United States, to rhetoric from Le Pen and other European nationalist leaders.

    You gotta hand it to CAIR, (which I believe stands for Committee of Arab ISIS Recruiters). Those clever rascals have invented a make-believe product intended to cure Islamophobia. They have gone so far as to create a mock commercial for it.

    The product is called Islamophobin, and it is dispensed as tablets in the kind of package that cold tablets are often sold in.

  36. Does capitalism cause recessions?

    After Brexit, many speculate that the world economy teeters on recession. This makes an opportune time to ask: Why do recessions occur?

    This question divides free market economists. After recently blogging on the classical conception of the business cycle, in which I described how “classical” economists believed that economic crashes are due to production errors, a commenter linked to an alternative perspective which suggests that recessions are the result of central banking. While this is true some of the time, it doesn’t explain why recessions plagued the economy before the introduction of the Federal Reserve (Fed) in 1913.

    According to classical economists like John Stuart Mill, David Ricardo and others, discoordination between the structure of production and the structure of demand may lead to business failure and possibly recession. How? If producers produce the wrong goods and services for public consumption, producers fail to earn a positive return and their production goes to waste. If production errors are sufficiently large and widespread, the economy may be brought to a halt. Because economic growth begins on the supply side (production), demand-side remedies, such as fiscal stimulus, must fail.

    However, the link that the commenter posted posits that the banking system is universally responsible for the coordination failure described above. How? As the central bank lowers interest rates by expanding the money supply, it fuels “‘insane speculation’ and disproportionalities,” which eventuates in a crash.

    swiss flagSwitzerland is one of the few countries in Europe not completely inundated with migrants from the Middle East and Africa. And, if this news gets out in a big way, maybe fewer Muslim migrants will be knocking on their doors.

    The Swiss government recently rejected citizenship for two Muslim immigrant girls who refused to swim with boys in a coed class at school, USA Today said Tuesday, citing reports from Swiss media outlets.

    “The girls, whose names were not disclosed, said their religion prevents them from participating in compulsory swimming lessons with males in the pool at the same time,” USA Today reported. “Their naturalization application was rejected because the sisters did not comply with the school curriculum, Basel authorities said.”

    “In Switzerland, unlike in the United States and many other countries, integration into society is more important for naturalization than knowledge of national history or politics,” USA Today explained. “Candidates for citizenship must prove that they are well assimilated in their communities and respect local customs and traditions.”

    Roughly 5 percent of Swiss citizens are Muslim, while more than 70 percent are Christian and 21.4 percent profess no religious affiliation, according to the CIA’s World Factbook.

    While the Swiss constitution guarantees “[f]reedom of religion and conscience” and the right to “choose” and “profess” one’s religious or philosophical views “alone or in community with others,” in recent years the Swiss have sought to promote cultural assimilation among Muslim immigrants via legislative means.

    Turkish police have detained 13 people, including up to three foreign nationals, suspected of being linked to the suicide attacks at Istanbul’s Ataturk international airport.
    The suspects were detained on Thursday after police raided 16 different locations in Istanbul.

  41. Turkey’s Growing Influence over Islam in Austria

    The selection of an ethnic Turk to lead the Islamic Religious Community in Austria (Islamischen Glaubensgemeinschaft in Österreich, IGGiÖ), the primary representative of Muslims in the country, is being challenged by Muslim groups opposed to Turkey’s growing influence over the practice of Islam in Austria.

    Ibrahim Olgun, a 28-year-old Austrian-born Islamic theologian with ties to the Turkish state, was quietly named on June 19 to replace 62-yer-old Fuat Sanac, who stepped down after serving as IGGiÖ president for five years.

    Sanac, also a Turk, was reviled by Turkish authorities for helping the Austrian government draft a new Islam Law (Islamgesetz) that aims to promote an “Islam with an Austrian character.” The law, which was promulgated in February 2015, seeks to reduce outside meddling by prohibiting foreign funding for mosques, imams and Muslim organizations in Austria. It also stresses that Austrian law must take precedence over Islamic Sharia law for Muslims living in the country.

    Observers worry that Olgun — a member of the Turkey-financed Turkish-Islamic Union for Cultural and Social Cooperation in Austria (ATIB), an influential group that has vowed to challenge the Islam Law at Austria’s Constitutional Court — will use his new position both to undermine the Islam Law and to increase further Turkey’s influence over Muslims in Austria.

    At least eight Austrian Muslim groups (representing Albanian, Arab, Bosnian and Sufi Muslims) are challenging Olgun, who was selected by the IGGiÖ’s Shura Council (Schurarat), a rules committee (Shura is an Arabic word for consultation) whose five members all happen to be ethnic Turks.

    “The EU has opened a new chapter in Turkey’s EU membership talks, covering budget contributions to the bloc.

    By moving on with the negotiations the EU is delivering on a pledge it made to Turkey in March, said Slovakia – the country now set to manage EU affairs.

    Turkey’s bid to join the EU is highly controversial and featured prominently in the UK’s EU referendum campaign.

    Turkey demanded progress on its bid in return for taking back migrants who want to seek asylum in the EU.

    Under the March deal, Turkey was also promised visa-free travel to the EU’s Schengen area, if it complied with a series of demands.

    Chapter 33 on financial and budgetary provisions is the 16th chapter to be opened with Turkey, out of a total of 35.

    But five chapters in Turkey’s talks are still blocked because of a dispute between the governments in Ankara and Cyprus.

    Turkey does not recognise the Republic of Cyprus, whose Greek Cypriot leaders demand an end to Turkish control in the island’s north.

    There is widespread concern in the EU about the possibility of a future influx of Turkish workers. As a large, mainly Muslim country Turkey would significantly change the character of the EU.

    The Leave campaign in the UK referendum warned that the EU was preparing for Turkey to join. The Remain camp however argued that Turkish membership was only a distant prospect and might never happen.

    Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu tweeted that Turkey had met “almost all” of the criteria demanded by the EU under the March deal so, he argued, the EU should now fulfil the visa liberalisation pledge. It would mean Turks getting visa-free travel to most of Europe.

    Five benchmarks set by EU for Turkey:

    Corruption: Turkey must pass measures to prevent corruption, in line with EU recommendations

    Data protection: It must align national legislation on personal data protection with EU standards

    Europol: An agreement is to be concluded with the continent’s law enforcement agency
    Judicial co-operation: It must work with all EU members on criminal matters

    Legislation on terrorism: Turkey is required to bring its terror laws in line with European standards

    Before the March deal Greece was overwhelmed by the challenge of housing migrants and refugees arriving by boat from Turkey.

    The onward movement of migrants – many of them fleeing the conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan – put severe strains on the EU, as most of them wanted to settle in Germany.
    But since the deal was struck the numbers crossing the Aegean from Turkey to Greece have dropped dramatically.”

    The Russian leader also condemned Tuesday’s gun and bomb attack on Istanbul’s Ataturk airport, one of the busiest in the world.

    • DAILY CALLER – Durbin: ‘I Asked For’ FBI Training Manual Purge Of ‘Wrong’ And ‘Embarrassing’ Docs About Muslims

      WASHINGTON–Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin says he requested the purge of almost 900 pages of documentation in the FBI training manual that Muslim advocacy groups found offensive.

      “I asked for it, because there were provisions in the training manual which were flat out wrong and embarrassing and they didn’t characterize the threat to America properly and after the FBI re-visited the manual, they changed it and I’m glad they did,” Durbin told The Daily Caller Wednesday.

      Durbin sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee and listened to testimony Tuesday at a subcommittee hearing that explored federal law enforcement’s lack of emphasis of “radical Islam in combating terrorism.”

      Durbin criticized the basis of the hearing and accused Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, of “badgering” one of the witnesses, Farhana Khera, president and executive director of Muslim Advocates, whose organization also called for the purge of the FBI training manual.

      “Our organization’s position is that training materials as well as intelligence products that were produced by the FBI are not only offensive, inflammatory and alienating Muslims and American Muslims, but, more importantly, they make us less safe,” she said Tuesday.

      Durbin pushed back on the claim that Muslim neighborhoods exist anywhere in the United States, referencing a Q and A he had with Khera during the hearing.

      “When I asked that Muslim woman what’s a Muslim neighborhood, she said, ‘I have no idea what he’s talking about.’ I was sitting right there,” he said.

      What about neighborhoods in Dearborn, Michigan?

      “I’d have to go look long and hard for it. I sure couldn’t identify them in Chicago,” said Durbin.

      Durbin also rejected the idea that people may be hesitant to report suspicious activity committed by Muslims out of fear of being called racist, a concern the neighbors of the San Bernardino shooters mentioned for not reporting Syed Farook and his wife to authorities.

      “I don’t know the neighbors involved here, but if I see a threat to this country, I don’t care if it’s a Muslim, Catholic, Jew, or non-believer, I would report it,” Durbin told TheDC.

      The Illinois Democrat also rejected the idea that the FBI shut down the investigation into Orlando shooter Omar Mateen as a result of him complaining to the agency that his co-workers marginalized him because of his faith.

      “No I don’t believe that. I think that’s a mischaracterization. That Orlando shooter was babbling. He at one point said he was part of ISIS and at another point said he was part of Hezbollah, without realizing they are two warring factions,” he said. “I don’t know why they opened it or why they closed it, but to argue they were somewhat afraid to identify someone who was a threat, I’ve never heard that bunch of baloney.”
