His brother found the body after Ghozland had not showed up to the synagogue the day before, according to reports in the Metro newspaper.

Police in France are yet to comment on how the 73-year-old, a prominent member of the local Jewish community, had died, but relatives of Ghozland told Metro that there were signs he had been stabbed and beaten.

A police source told Metro newspaper that it was simply too early to tell how he died. Early investigations report that the man’s apartment had been searched and a car belonging to the victim had disappeared…”

“Iran detained 10 US sailors after two small patrol boats reportedly drifted into Iranian waters in the Gulf, US officials say.

They say the Riverine boats apparently developed mechanical problems and were taken to Iran’s Farsi Island.

Tehran says the crew and the boats “will be returned promptly”, Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook told the Associated Press news agency.

The sailors were “snooping” in Iranian waters, Iran’s Fars news agency says.

It says the sailors – nine men and a woman – were held by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard…”

“Shia Muslim militiamen in eastern Iraq have carried out reprisal attacks against Sunni Muslims after a double bombing, security sources say.

Bombs killed at least 20 people at a cafe in Muqdadiya on Monday.

Militiamen then went on what was described as a rampage. Several local Sunnis were killed, and Sunni-owned shops and homes were destroyed.

The jihadist group Islamic State (IS), which frequently targets Iraqi Shia, said it was behind the cafe blasts.

IS militants also attacked a shopping centre in a predominantly Shia eastern district of the capital Baghdad on Monday evening, killing at least 18 people…”

  6. IRAN SEIZES U.S. Sailors Amid Claims of SPYING

WASHINGTON — Two United States Navy patrol boats and their crews were seized by the Iranian authorities in the Persian Gulf on Tuesday during what a Tehran news agency alleged was “snooping.”

But the Pentagon and the State Department said that one of the boats had experienced mechanical problems while en route from Kuwait to Bahrain on a routine mission. Administration officials said that the military had lost contact with the boats before they strayed into Iranian territorial waters. They said they had received assurances from Iran that the 10 sailors would be returned soon, perhaps on Wednesday.

But a spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, Brig. Gen. Ramezan Sharif, was quoted Wednesday morning in the Iranian news media as saying that talk of an immediate release was “speculation.” He said an “investigation” was underway and that “talks” were being held with the sailors, suggesting that they were being interrogated.

General Sharif said the sailors were being held under good conditions and treated with “Islamic compassion.”

  7. US officials scramble after Iran takes custody of two Navy boats

Iran on Tuesday took two U.S. Navy boats and 10 American sailors into custody, creating a diplomatic crisis for the Obama administration just hours before the State of the Union address.

U.S. officials scrambled to respond to the detention, which threatened to create an international incident at time when Iran is poised to receive billions of dollars in sanctions relief under the controversial nuclear deal.

The Pentagon said Iran has provided assurances that the crew and vessels will be returned.

Senior Pentagon officials said the Navy vessels — two small watercraft — were being allowed to continue traveling from Kuwait to Bahrain but that they were still “with Iranian officials as they continue their journey.”

Another senior Defense official said the American sailors — nine men and one woman — were being held overnight and would be released “during daylight hours.”

Iranian state media reported the sailors were arrested on suspicion of “snooping.”

  8. Now depraved ISIS militants encourage children to execute their parents (express, Jan 13, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/634119/isis-militants-child-soldiers-gweyr-front-kurdistan-hadur-isis-isil-daesh-isa-dare-jihadi

“DEPRAVED Islamic State jihadists are encouraging boys as young as five to execute their parents, chilling testimony from former child soldiers has revealed.

The brave youngsters – now living in refugee camps in northern Iraq – said they were subjected to barbaric punishments when they disobeyed orders from ISIS militants.

Cowardly terrorists broke the leg of 11-year-old Nouri after he refused to attend a jihadi training camp for “cubs of the caliphate”.

His younger brother Saman, five, now suffers from night terrors and seizures after brutal beatings at the hands of Daesh fighters.

The scarred youngster is the same age as Isa Dare – the Londoner dubbed ‘Jihadi Junior’ after his appearance in the terror group’s latest propaganda video.

The sickening video, which purports to show the executions of five British spies, features Dare staring into the camera and yelling: “Kill the kuffar [non-believers]”.

Schoolboys lucky enough to have escaped the militants’ clutches say such shocking scenes are commonplace in ISIS-controlled areas.

Nasir, 12, said: “When they were training us they would tell us our parents were unbelievers and that our first job was to go back to kill them.

He is one of a small number of traumatised refugees who have described their abduction and incarceration in suicide bomber training camps run by the death cult…”

  9. Fury as Danish government to seize migrants’ valuables after passing controversial bill (express, Jan 13, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/634152/Government-seize-migrants-valuables-controversial-bill-passed

“A EUROPEAN country is set to seize migrants’ valuables after securing a majority vote in Parliament.

The Danish government’s controversial measure will pay for refugees to stay in asylum centres, according to officials.

Items of personal value such as wedding rings are exempt – but police now have the power to seize any other objects deemed as “valuable assets”.

A government spokesman said: “The government, the Social Democrats, the Danish People’s Party, the Liberal Alliance and the Conservative People’s Party have agreed to amend the bill concerning valuables.”

The motion is part of a bigger immigration bill the Danish parliament is due to begin debating today.

Inger Stojberg, the country’s Integration Minister, has faced a storm of criticism over the motion – with some even comparing it to Nazi Germany.

Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich had a policy of confiscating Jewish property, which included gold fillings, art works and real estate.

A spokesman for the United Nation’s refugee agency said the bill sent a signal to other countries that “could fuel fear, xenophobia and similar restrictions that would reduce – rather than expand – the asylum space globally”.

It was also claimed the bill would delay family reunifications for some refugees by up to three years.

Since coming to power in June, the Liberal-Conservative coalition led by Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen has moved to tighten the country’s immigration laws.

Under the new rules refugees will be housed in “tents”.

Those seeking Danish citizenship will also face stricter requirements.

They will have to pass rigid language tests, provide extensive proof they are able to support themselves financially and undergo a bolstered citizenship exam.

As of October, Denmark had received 13,425 asylum seekers, with 9,156 of those having been granted asylum.”

    • Hitler was taking German citizens or people from the nations he conquered and seizing their property, Denmark is taking the property of invaders and using it to pay for their stay in Denmark. There is a very big difference, one is theft for the purposes of money to facilitate mass murder, the second is expecting invaders to pay for their stay.

HUGE gulf in CRIME RATES among migrant groups

Migrants arriving in Germany from North Africa are disproportionately likely to commit crime, police figures show – but deporting them isn’t always straightforward.

An unpublished study by police in Düsseldorf seen by Spiegel Online, meanwhile, shows that there are over 2,200 criminals from the north African region active in the Rhineland city.

The report says that the situation is so bad that many residents of the city have lost confidence in their ability to feel safe in public spaces.

Oil prices have crashed to below $30-a-barrel amid warnings the rout could reach as low as $10 and bring down petrol prices to levels last seen in 2009.

Standard Chartered became the latest major bank to downgrade its oil outlook to $10, joining the likes of Goldman Sachs, RBS and Morgan Stanley in making ultra-bearish calls as prices have collapsed by 15pc this year.

Brent crude has now slipped to a fresh 12-year low of $30.41 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate – the US benchmark – is trading at $29.93 – a level last seen in December 2013. Analysts warned the oil market remains fundmentally out of balance as record over-supply and stagnant demand weighs on traders.

This move has angered a lot of the OPEC countires and the full consequences have yet to play out.

  17. China arrests most prominent woman rights lawyer for subversion

BEIJING (Reuters) – Chinese authorities have formally arrested China’s most prominent woman human rights lawyer, accusing her of subverting the state, her lawyer said on Wednesday, as part of a crackdown on activists who have helped people fight for their legal rights.

The lawyer, Wang Yu, was taken into custody last July and accused the next month of inciting subversion and “causing a disturbance”.

On Wednesday, Wang’s mother received a notice, dated Monday, from police in the northern city of Tianjin, said Wang’s lawyer, Li Yuhan. Tianjin police declined to comment when reached by telephone.

Wang is the best-known human rights lawyer targeted in an unprecedented nationwide sweep by Chinese police last July, during which hundreds of lawyers were detained. A formal arrest usually leads to a trial and conviction by China’s party-controlled courts.

Iran’s brazen decision to detain 10 U.S. Navy sailors just hours before President Obama was to deliver his final State of the Union address makes “a mockery” of the White House, according to conservative analysts and GOP presidential hopefuls, who were quick to pounce on the crisis as a sign of the administration’s weakness.

“This is a gesture and I think we know what gesture it is,” said Danielle Pletka, senior vice president for foreign and defense policy studies at the conservative American Enterprise Institute.

“What we see is an Iran that is causing an enormous amount of trouble in the Middle East, is testing ballistic missiles and is otherwise making a mockery of the president’s suggestions that somehow they would moderate their behavior. “The (Iranian Revolutionary Guard) wanted to embarrass the president on the day of his State of the Union (address),” she added. “And they did.”

U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) suggested on CNN that Obama delay the start of his address.

    • Iran: Tehran demands apology for US naval incursion – Revolutionary Guards commander

Iran was waiting for an apology before negotiating the release of several US naval officers, stated Navy Commander Admiral of the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution (IRGC) Ali Fadavi released during an interview on Iranian state TV in Tehran, Tuesday. The commander’s comments come after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards seized two US boats that strayed into the Islamic Republic’s territorial waters earlier in the day.

SOT, Ali Fadavi, Navy Commander Admiral of the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution (Farsi): “Almost from the beginning there were diplomatic calls and we were in contact with the Foreign Ministry and Mr. Zarif. It was clear that Mr. Kerry contacted Mr. Zarif and had requested freedom [for the sailors] and Mr. Zarif had a strong and powerful stance that they were in our territorial waters and that they should apologise for this. Of course, this process will not take long and Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Navy will act on it upon receipt of an order from its superiors.”

An investigation into possible mishandling of classified information on Hillary Clinton’s private email server has expanded to consider whether Clinton’s work as Secretary overlapped with her work for the Clinton Foundation run by her family.

Fox News‘ Catherine Herridge published the report, citing unnamed FBI sources, Monday morning. The report indicates the initial security referral looking into whether or not classified information was mishandled has expanded to look at possible public corruption involving the Clinton Foundation.

The report paints a picture of an internal struggle within the FBI over whether or not to prosecute Clinton. Herridge quotes an unnamed FBI source saying, “many previous public corruption cases have been made and successfully prosecuted with much less evidence than what is emerging in this investigation.”

  22. Iraqi Refugee Granted U.S. Residency Charged with Terrorism in Texas

As the Obama administration welcomes throngs of “displaced” nationals from terrorist countries, an Iraqi refugee granted residency after coming to the U.S. as a teenager has been charged with supporting the jihadist group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

The once-displaced refugee, Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan, is 24 years old now and lives in Houston, Texas. He tried to supply material support to ISIL and lied about his ties to the terrorist organization and his weapons training when applying to become a U.S. citizen, according to a federal indictment issued this month. In 2011, when Al Hardan was 17, the U.S. graciously took in his family much the same way the Obama administration is welcoming droves of Syrians and nationals of Yemen, an Al Qaeda hotbed. Besides having close ties to terrorist organizations Al Hardan has received automatic machine gun training, according to the feds.

The indictment is scarce in details, probably for national security reasons, but it’s the culmination of an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Joint Terrorism Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Houston Police Department. Al Hardan, who attended school in Jordan and doesn’t speak very good English, was arrested in the Harris County apartment he shares with his 18-year-old wife and infant child. He appeared in a Houston federal courtroom last week and has a bond hearing and arraignment scheduled for this week. A local newspaper report says Al Hardan and his family live on food stamps, compliments of American taxpayers. His defense attorney will also be financed by taxpayers.

Al Hardan’s indictment comes just weeks after Texas officials sued the federal government to stop it from resettling Syrian refugees in the state over security concerns. Judicial Watch has reported that a number of high-ranking Homeland Security officials have admitted there’s no way to screen the new arrivals from the war-torn Muslim nation that’s a hotbed of terrorism. In fact a director with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) told Congress a few months ago that his agency has no method of vetting the new refugees because the Syrian government doesn’t have an intelligence database to run checks against. Previous to that, FBI Assistant Director Michael Steinbach confirmed that the government has no system to properly screen Syrian refugees.

    • Germany: Justice minister suggests deporting ‘foreign criminals’

Federal Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection Heiko Maas said that “foreign criminals” could be deported, during an address to the Bundestag in Berlin on Wednesday. Opposition party Die Linke meanwhile warned about growing racism in the country.

SOT, Heiko Maas, German Minister of Justice (German): “Criminals must, as a consequence, be held accountable for their misdeeds. And, in the case of foreign criminals, deportation is one such consequence.”

SOT, Heiko Maas, German Minister of Justice (German): “We find ourselves, now, in a critical phase, in which many citizens are worrying about the state’s capacity to act. And we cannot allow this.”

SOT, Katja Kipping, co-president of the Die Linke party (German): “We must also make sexual violence a subject of discussion, and then we can combat the offenders when they’re not the alleged foreigners. And when you, Mr Schroder [Ole Schroder, member of the government], talk about a duty to integrate, then it should apply to all violent criminals, and also Germany’s violent partners must be integrated.”

SOT, Katja Kipping, co-president of the Die Linke party (German): “We have a problem in this society, this was made clear in the debates about Cologne. Clearly we’re seeing an increase in racism and racially motivated violence. An interplay between hooligans, neo-nazis in pinstripe suits and right-populists on the streets work together to increase the presence of racist violence in this country.”

SOT, Katja Kipping, co-president of the Die Linke party (German): “I find it irresponsible when politicians and media fuel this racism. Sexual violence and criminality must be fought; but those who apply cultures to this fight, those who give the impression that it is the particular problem of a certain culture or a certain religion, they become, at the end of the day, the helpers of AfD and Pegida.”

  26. Professional Atheist Dawkins Says Christianity ‘Bulwark Against Something Worse’

In a text that is coursing about on social media, professional God-slayer Richard Dawkins begrudgingly admitted that Christianity may actually be our best defense against aberrant forms of religion that threaten the world.

“There are no Christians, as far as I know, blowing up buildings,” Dawkins said. “I am not aware of any Christian suicide bombers. I am not aware of any major Christian denomination that believes the penalty for apostasy is death.”

In a rare moment of candor, Dawkins reluctantly accepted that the teachings of Jesus Christ do not lead to a world of terror, whereas followers of radical Islam perpetrate the very atrocities that he laments.

Because of this realization, Dawkins wondered aloud whether Christianity might indeed offer an antidote to protect western civilization against jihad.

Speaking in Antwerp on Wednesday, Red Cross Flanders spokesperson An Luyten said that refugees will be provided with additional behaviour and sex education classes in asylum seeker centres, after a series of alleged sexual assaults shook Cologne on New Year’s Eve.

“It’s too early to make a link between what happened in Cologne and asylum seekers,” she said, adding that after the events in Cologne “the Belgian state secretary on migration decided… to give more sexual education in asylum seeker centres.”

According to Luyten, the aim of the Red Cross in general and social workers in particular is to explain to people, who arrive in Europe, European “values” such as gender equality, women rights and interfaith marriages. “Our social assistants who work here are really trained to observe and to see whether there are going to be problems concerning men and women relationships and to react upon that,” she stated. He continued: “There are a lot of asylum seekers that we shelter at this moment but the number of incidents is very very low.”

  28. Major Bank Predicts ‘Cataclysmic’ Year, Tell Clients To ‘Sell Everything’
Posted on January 12, 2016 by Juliegrace Brufke — 1 Comment

The Royal Bank of Scotland is telling clients to dump their stocks, forecasting the economy is about to take a turn for the worse – leading to conditions similar to those seen in 2008.

“Sell everything except high quality bonds,” the bank said in a note to clients. “In a crowded hall, exit doors are small. Risks are high.”

The Guardian reports, this time around, China’s economic slowdown could be the catalyst for a global financial crisis.

With the Dow Jones recently slumping to the worst-ever five-day start and oil prices tanking to seven-year lows in result of China’s economy, the economist are predicting the U.S. markets could fall somewhere between 10 and 20 percent.

  29. The West’s Terminal Radical Islam Denial Syndrome
    By Ben Shapiro
    January 13, 2016, 4:30 am

Last year, there were 452 suicide terror attacks across the world. Four hundred and fifty of them were committed by Muslims. Last month, Muslims pledging allegiance to ISIS murdered 14 people in San Bernardino, California. Last week, thousands of Muslims around Europe, from Germany to Sweden to Switzerland, sexually assaulted hundreds of young women on New Year’s Eve. Just days ago, a Muslim man shot a Philadelphia cop at point-blank range and declared that he did it in the name of Islam.

In response, Hillary Clinton declared, “Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with Islam.” She agreed this week that “white terrorism and extremism” are just as much a threat to Americans as ISIS and radical Islam, and then proceeded to blame “gun violence.” The mayor of Cologne, Germany, told young women not to walk within “arm’s length” of young Muslim men, and leftist commentators explained that the wave of sexual harassment resulted from some generalized, nonspecific religious patriarchal attitudes. The mayor of Philadelphia said that the attack on the police officer had nothing to do with “being a Muslim or the Islamic faith,” and that instead, we ought to focus our attention on the pressing issue of gun violence: “There are just too many guns on the streets, and I think our national government needs to do something about that.”

If the West keeps this up, there won’t be any West of which to speak.

  30. Why War Between Iran And Saudi Arabia Is So Scary
    By Robert Romano
    January 13, 2016, 3:10 am

As if anything else couldn’t go wrong.

North Korea proclaims it has the hydrogen bomb.

China’s stock market falls back into the abyss, taking the U.S. with it, prompting Beijing to devalue the yuan to forestall the deflation of asset prices and even engage in wholesale purchases of stocks.

The rationale for devaluation is because China cannot create more foreign reserves. To do quantitative easing in China, where the yuan is pegged to the dollar, it needs more dollars — but it cannot print those. So, all that can be done internally is to increase the number of yuan for every dollar to create more internal liquidity. This is to combat asset price depreciation, but those price drops are already happening anyway. The question is of magnitude.

International trade is grinding to a halt with the Baltic Dry Index falling and other manufacturing surveys going negative, as well as an overall decline in both U.S. exports and imports in 2015, an extremely bearish indicator.

Oil keeps getting hammered, approaching $32 a barrel amid weak global demand.

Islamic State remains on the march with fresh attacks in Egypt and Libya.

Add to that hot mess now fresh tensions between majority Sunni Arab Saudi Arabia and Iran, a majority of which is Shia Persian. Besides the obvious sectarian clash between the two sects of Islam are even wider geopolitical implications.

It began with the execution of the Shia cleric Nimr al Nimr on charges of disobeying the government, firing on security forces and inciting sectarian strife. Next thing you know, Iranians are sacking the Saudi embassy in Tehran, diplomatic ties between the nations are severed, and the situation escalates dramatically with the Saudi airstrike at or near the Iranian embassy in Yemen.

Yikes. And it’s not even February yet.

    http://freedomsback.com/netrightdaily/why-war-between-iran-and-saudi-arabia-is-so-scary/

    • The analysis ignores the fact that Iran is run by a theocracy working to fulfill their end times prophecies, the people in power and the pundits don’t want to talk about this because it means that there is only a very small chance that the large scale war can be avoided.

There was a time when the war could have been avoided but the left in their desire to establish a socialist world, and the low information voters living in their fantasy worlds prevented the west from shutting down the terror groups the first time they attacked. These attacks always have been military attacks and the insistence that we give foreign invaders committing military attacks bull benefit of the western criminal justice system is a path to national suicide. A fact that the left knows and desires because the Western culture with the nation state prevents them from achieving their pie in the sky goal of a socialist utopia.

  31. Greece: New makeshift mosque built at Lesbos refugee camp

A makeshift mosque was erected at Moira refugee camp on the Greek island of Lesbos on Wednesday. The temporary structure was built by a Pakistani migrant staying at the camp after calls for a permanent mosque were not acknowledged by the state.

The improvised mosque which has been decorated with prayer mats currently services the large Muslim demographic staying at the camp, many of whom use the facility to pray five times a day.

Lesbos is one of the main hotspots for refugees arriving in Europe, fleeing violence, war and poverty in the Middle East and Africa.

  32. The Ayatollah Takes Obama’s Big Night of Lies Hostage
Iran crashes the president’s State of the Union address.

The hype for the last State of the Union address had been building for months. There was a countdown, special Muslim guest stars and a pre-show featuring a mediocre indie band and Joe Biden.

And all Iran had to do to steal the show was take two Navy boats and ten sailors hostage.

Then, when Obama puffed out his chest and declared, “No nation dares to attack us or our allies because they know that’s the path to ruin”, it took good manners not to laugh.

That would come as news to Iran which three days ago fired rockets near the USS Harry S Truman and then decided to seize two American naval vessels, or to North Korea, which celebrated the State of the Union early with a major nuclear test, or to China, which threatened us with war in October.

Never mind Russia, which invaded and annexed part of one of our allies. Or all the Islamic terrorists.

While Americans were being held hostage, Joe Biden stepped out on a rug even more threadbare than the one on his head to introduce two indie rockers fresh from appearing on Colbert.

No matter what might be happening in the real world, in the White House the party had to go on.

But pity Obama. He wanted to be FDR laying out the Four Freedoms. He didn’t want to be Jimmy Carter in a sweater reassuring the nation that the best was yet to come. He has the Ayatollah to thank for that.

  33. Iran: Attack on US Boats is Warning to Congress on Sanctions
    January 13, 2016
    Daniel Greenfield
    1

The official media narrative is that Obama’s great relationship with Iran enabled the release of the American sailors captured at gunpoint by Iran’s terrorist IRGC. The media is full of praise for Obama for letting ten American sailors be taken hostage… and then released.

That’s how low the bar is set.

Meanwhile Iran is making it clear that it’s sending a very different kind of message.

Iran’s army chief said on Wednesday the seizure of two US navy boats and their 10 sailors should be a lesson to members the US Congress trying to impose new sanctions on Tehran.

“This incident in the Persian Gulf, which probably will not be the American forces’ last mistake in the region, should be a lesson to troublemakers in the US Congress,” Major General Hassan Firouzabadi, head of Iran’s armed forces, was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency.

Iran isn’t even bothering to threaten Obama. It just slaps him around. Instead it uses his weakness to threaten Congress which it now considers stronger than Obama.

  34. Iran: Kerry Apologized to Us, Biden: No We Didn’t
Whom do you believe, a compulsive liar or a terrorist group?

There are two stories coming out of the latest incident with Iran.

According to Obama Inc. and its various arms, two boats encountered mechanical problems and then Iranians were nice enough to take care of their crews. According to Iran’s IRGC, an international terror group, they were arrested after invading Iranian waters.

The IRGC Navy Public Relations spokesman issued a statement confirming the “arrest” of “10 armed” American personnel who breached Iranian territorial waters near the island of Farsi in the Persian Gulf

Photos showing Americans being taken at gunpoint confirm Iran’s version of the story.

Now Iran is claiming that Obama Inc. apologized to it.

  36. Only the Black Vote Can Save Hillary Clinton from Bernie Sanders

Last time around, the black vote took an insurgent left-wing candidacy and helped destroy Hillary Clinton’s chances at the White House. The far left is hoping Bernie Sanders is Barack Obama.

But this time around, the black vote is Hillary Clinton’s firewall. Bernie Sanders is about as popular with black voters as slavery. Despite the Killer Mike theater, that’s never going to be his base. It’s why Hillary Clinton effectively used #BlackLivesMatter to destabilize his campaign.

It’s also why there are hard limits to how well Bernie Sanders can do against Hillary in states where the Democratic base is a lot less white than New Hampshire.

Bill Clinton is still popular with black voters and with no Obama endorsement, Hillary Clinton boasts more White House ties than Bernie Sanders does. Barring Biden going in and campaigning, and he still seems to be hoping for an FBI indictment that will let him swoop in and take over the race, for Bernie Sanders, that gives Hillary Clinton clear, core minority vote advantages.

  37. CAIR Caught Lying About Philly Cop Shooter Not Going to Mosque

CAIR’s Big Lie technique is just to get ahead of the story by spreading their quotes without worrying what happens when it gets disproven. Considering the public’s attention span and the media’s dishonesty, this no doubt works to some degree. There are probably plenty of Americans who still think that San Bernardino was a workplace argument that got out of hand.

Nickarama at Weasel Zippers shoots up another CAIR lie about the “In Allah’s Name” cop shooter in Philly.

“At this hour, it does not appear that he was an observant or mosque-going Muslim” in the local community, said Jacob Bender, executive director of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Council on American–Islamic Relations.

“I’ve called numerous imams and mosques to try to see if the name rings a bell with anyone. So far it hasn’t,” he told Reuters in an interview.

But Natalie King, one of Archer’s neighbors, said that he was seen going to the mosque every Friday night.

  38. Hillary’s Benghazi Stand-Down Order Exposed
    Benghazi film unlocks the cover-up.

A preview by Benghazi security officer Kris “Tanto” Paronto of 13 Hours, the block-buster Michael Bay film that premieres on Thursday, raises dramatic new questions about the refusal by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to authorize a military rescue of the besieged U.S. diplomatic facility and the nearby CIA Annex on Sept 11-12, 2012.

In a presentation at a conference organized by the Maryland Citizen Action Network last weekend, Paronto revealed that two AC-130H “Spectre” gunships were “on call” that night, both within range of Benghazi.

One of them was a six-hour flight away, co-located with a U.S. special operations team in Djibouti.

The other was at Naval Air Station Sigonella, in Sicily. “That’s a 45-minute flight,” Paronto said.

The Spectre gunship with its 25mm rapid-fire gatling guns, its 40 mm precision Bofors gun, and its 105mm canon is “good in urban warfare because you have little collateral damage,” Paronto explained.

In fact, it was just what the beleaguered security team needed. They could see the jihadis advancing on the Annex compound throughout the night and lit them up with lasers, which the airborne crew could have used for precision targeting purposes. On-line videos of the Spectre gunship in operation show that it can walk its cannons up narrow streets, killing fighters while leaving the surrounding buildings intact and people inside them unharmed.

  39. In Pakistan, They Trust
A failed state with nuclear weapons.

It is a testament to the precarious state of the world today that in a week that saw North Korea carry out a possible test of a hydrogen bomb, the most frightening statement uttered did not come from Pyongyang.

    It came from Pakistan.

Speaking in the military garrison town of Rawalpindi, Pakistani Army chief Gen. Raheel Sharif said that any Iranian threat to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity will “wipe Iran off the map.”

Sharif made the statement following his meeting with Saudi Arabia’s defense minister and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. According to media reports, Salman was the second senior Saudi official to visit Pakistan in the past week amid growing tensions between Iran and the kingdom.

Salman’s trip and Sharif’s nuclear threat make clear that following the US’s all-but-official abandonment of its role as protector of the world’s largest oil producer, the Saudis have cast their lots with nuclear-armed Pakistan.

When last October, the USS Harry Truman exited the Persian Gulf, the move marked the first time since 2007 that the US lacked an aircraft carrier in the region. Nine years ago, the US naval move was not viewed as a major statement of strategic withdrawal, given that back then the US had some one hundred thousand troops in Ira
