When I was a young captain and artillery battery commander, I learned quickly that there were two folks you did not cross — the Mess Sergeant and the Supply Sergeant. One, well, is self-explanatory, because he prepares the chow, but the other maintains your property account. And trust me, I saw what happened to young captains who screwed over their supply sergeants — somehow stuff went missing, even if it had been inventoried and accounted for.
Now there’s another group of folks you do not want to cross — we lovingly refer to them as “spooks” — the brave and brilliant men and women of the intelligence community. They know the secrets and where the “bodies” are buried. And it seems they’re leading us to the gravesite.

More than 50 intelligence analysts working out of the U.S. military’s Central Command have formally complained that their reports on ISIS and al-Qaida’s branch in Syria were being inappropriately altered by senior officials, The Daily Beast has learned.
The complaints spurred the Pentagon’s inspector general to open an investigation into the alleged manipulation of intelligence. The fact that so many people complained suggests there are deep-rooted, systemic problems in how the U.S. military command charged with the war against the self-proclaimed Islamic State assesses intelligence. “The cancer was within the senior level of the intelligence command,” one defense official said.

Tons of explosive material has been seized near the Turkish-Syrian border in two days, with 17 suspected members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) detained in the border town of Kilis.
As much as 6.5 tons of plastic explosive material was seized after police officers in the southeastern border province of Sanliurfa stopped and searched a long-haul truck full of onions in the Pekmezli neighborhood of Sanliurfa’s Akçakale district on Sept. 9, Dogan News Agency reported on Sept. 10.
The plastic explosive material, identified as pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN), was found hidden in onion piles on the truck driven by a man identified by the initials Y.K.
The explosive material was reportedly handled by bomb experts and two suspects including Y.K. were detained over the incident.
In another incident in the southeastern province of Mardin on Sept. 10, 20 tons of ammonium nitrate, a common explosive used in making improvised explosive devices, was seized after gendarmerie forces searched a cottage on a road connecting Mardin to the southeastern province of Diyarbakir following intelligence they gathered said material used to make bombs was in a cottage on land owned by a private driving course.
The land owner, identified by the initials A.A., said they knew nothing about the 400 sacks of explosive material found inside the cottage.
The gendarmerie command launched an investigation to determine who put the 20 tons of explosive material in the cottage.
Meanwhile, 17 suspected members of ISIL, including two Turkish citizens, were detained in the southeastern border district of Elbeyli in Kilis on Sept. 10, the Kilis Governor’s Office said in a written statement. The suspects had attempted to illegally cross into Syria, the statement said.
“A total of 17 ISIL members, 15 foreign nationals and two Turkish citizens , were detained after they attempted to illegally cross into Syria,” it said.

8. Finland: Police: roadside anti-immigration, anti-Islam banners to be removed

Two makeshift banners proclaiming anti-immigration and anti-Islam sentiments were hung along national road eight in western Finland. Police said on Thursday that a decision was reached to remove the banners.
He said that the text on the banners (which may already have been removed by publishing of this update) legally do not constitute incitement, but that they were being removed out of safety concerns, as they may impede traffic.
Earlier on Thursday, before the decision to remove the banners was announced, Yle Uutiset quoted one unidentified police official saying the text is “one opinion among many, the banners might well have read: ‘the maternity allowance is too low.'”

It takes a lot of courage to turn your superior officers in for misconduct, the fact that 50 professionals have done this show how bad the situation is, despite what Stephen Coughlins interview senior officers who decide to go public about what the current administration have to pick their time carefully. Hopefully the ones who have been setting back and waiting are now deciding that this is the right time for them to come out and start working to protect freedom.
We are seeing the totalitarianism hopefully the vigilantism isn’t far behind. The massive influx of military age and probably military trained men into Europe is telling everyone who knows military history that the time for a civil disobedience campaign is at hand.
