At least 30 people have died in clashes in the Turkish city of Cizre since a military operation began there last week, Turkey’s interior ministry says.
The ministry says most of the dead were Kurdish militants but the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) says 20 civilians were killed in the violence.
Locals say Cizre has been “under siege” since the military imposed a curfew.
On Thursday police stopped a delegation of HDP leaders who were trying to reach the south-eastern city on foot.

(I wonder if Obama can even find his red sidewalk chalk at this stage)
(Personally I think the problem is that the Middle East is integrating. Under the Islamic State)
Action is needed to stop the Middle East “disintegrating” under the threat of militant Islamists, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said at the start of talks in London with David Cameron.
Discussions are set to focus on Syria and Iran, particularly the nuclear deal bitterly opposed by Mr Netanyahu.
Mr Cameron said the UK “remains staunch” in its “defence of Israel’s right to exist and to defend itself”. […] Arriving in Downing Street, Mr Netanyahu said: “The Middle East is disintegrating under the twin forces of militant Islam – militant Sunnis led by Isis [Islamic State] and militant Shiites led by Iran.
(Take note: The BBC identified ISIS as the Islamic State!)

French authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect, who they believe poses a threat to national security, according to reports in local media.
The unnamed man has been listed as a Subcategory S suspect, which means he is considered a potential risk to the state.
French security bosses have his photograph, description, what he is wanted for and what to do if he is discovered.
The category is also used to describe thousands of wanted criminals and runaway prisoners.
Thank you M., Wrath of Khan, Richard, CB Sashenka, and all.
