Not really, every cent the German government spends means money taken from the private sector, the massive government spending project are really drag on the economy not a simulis like we have been taught in school. The Keynesian economics that everyone is taught can give the illusion of prosperity but in reality has created the economic mess the world is in. This always happens when the government tries to be all things for everyone. The more entitlement programs the faster the economy dies. It is bad enough when you are taxing the producers to death to pay for bread and circuses for citizens of your nation, now they are doing this to provide for foreign invaders.
Maybe they’ll have less to spend on NGOs that libel Jews in order to delegitimize the Jewish state. Perhaps fewer euros to fund Muslim Jew-killers.

“Police in India were investigating complaints from two women that a Saudi Arabian diplomat raped them repeatedly and confined them in his home near New Delhi. He has claimed diplomatic immunity, and the Saudi embassy in a statement Wednesday denied all the allegations.
The women working as maids in the diplomat’s house were rescued Monday after a non-governmental organization tipped off police.
Police have registered a case of rape and illegal confinement against the official, although he has not been named in the complaint.
Navdeep Virk, a top police official, said that the women told police they were beaten and raped repeatedly during the past few months.
He said police were investigating and would submit a report to India’s ministry of external affairs as the case involved a diplomat. India’s external affairs ministry said it would take action against the diplomat after it receives the police report.
The women told police that they were lured from their homes in Nepal by recruiting agents who supplied them to the diplomat. When they were hired in April they were promised high wages compared to their earnings in Nepal. However, they had not been paid any money at all since they started work, police said.
The women told police they were not allowed to leave the house and were locked in the apartment when the diplomat’s family went out.
Police said the case was registered after a medical examination of the women confirmed the rape and sexual assault….”

The foundation says the sight of Germans welcoming refugees is inspiring. Britain and France have also agreed to take in thousands of refugees.
Tutu, 83, has been hospitalized several times since July, when he was diagnosed with a persistent infection. His daughter Mpho said in August that he had been praying for refugees while in the hospital.”

“Australia will take in an extra 12,000 migrants fleeing conflict in the Middle East, Prime Minister Tony Abbott said, as he confirmed the country would be joining airstrikes against ISIS in Syria this week.
The intake almost doubles the number of people currently allowed into Australia through its humanitarian program, which is currently capped at 13,750 each year.
Priority would go to persecuted minorities — especially women, children and families — who are currently in camps in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey, Abbott announced Wednesday.
“We want the 12,000 to come in as quickly as possible. We’re not putting a timetable on it because we do have to make all of these important checks; health, security, character, because it is important that we bring in people who are going to be contributors to the Australian community,” he said.
Canberra is also planning to spend $44 million on food, blankets and emergency supplies to directly support 240,000 people in UNHCR camps, as part of its $230 million aid program.

Refugee crisis: Pressure builds for U.S. to welcome more Syrians (CNN, Sep 9, 2015)

“Of the 4 million Syrian refugees who have fled attacks by their government and ISIS, the United States has taken in 0.03% of them.
That’s a pitiful number that needs to be changed immediately, a growing number of Americans say. Both Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Martin O’Malley agree: the U.S. needs to step up.
But how many should the United States take in? And what risks would be involved?
So far, the U.S. has accepted 1,500 Syrian refugees. By contrast, Germany said it will take in 800,000 migrants in the current refugee crisis. Several other countries, such as Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon, have each taken in hundreds of thousands of Syrians.
The International Rescue Committee called for the United States to open its doors to 65,000 Syrian refugees.
An online petition asking the U.S. government to do exactly that has garnered more than 54,000 signatures.
“The U.S. has historically been the world leader in recognizing the moral obligation to resettle refugees,” International Rescue Committee president and CEO David Milliband said.
“But in the four years of the Syria crisis, there has been inertia rather than leadership.”
The Obama administration says is considering helping more with refugee resettlement. State Department spokesman John Kirby said he anticipates the figure of 1,500 accepted refugees to double before the end of the year.
“I expect to see the U.S. will take in even more going forward,” Kirby told CNN last week.
The National Security Council said the United States has helped quite a bit financially.
“It is important to note that the United States has provided over $4 billion in humanitarian assistance since the Syrian crisis began, and over $1 billion in assistance this year,” NSC spokesman Peter Boogaard said. “The U.S. is the single largest donor to the Syrian crisis.”
Some say opening the country to more Syrian refugees runs the risk of having extremists slip through.
Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio, a son of immigrants, said the U.S. must be careful.
“We would be potentially open to the relocation of some of these individuals at some point in time to the United States,” he said.
“We’d always be concerned that within the overwhelming number of the people seeking refugee, someone with a terrorist background could also sneak in.”
But the process for Syrians seeking asylum in the United States is complicated by a long security vetting procedure meant to ensure that only desperate refugees — not extremists — reach American soil. It typically takes 18 months before a refugee designated for resettlement in the United States can actually set foot in the country.
GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, whose campaign often focuses on expelling illegal immigrants, said the United States should accept more Syrian refugees due to the “unbelievable humanitarian problem.”
“I hate the concept of it, but on a humanitarian basis, with what’s happening, you have to,” Trump told Fox News.
Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley backed the IRC’s call for the U.S. to accept 65,000 refugees.
“Americans are a generous and compassionate people,” he said. “But today our policies are falling short of those values. We must do more to support Syrian refugees — and we must certainly welcome more than the proposed 5,000 to 8,000 refugees next year.”
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Obama hasn’t acted strongly enough during the Syrian crisis and “has allowed these folks to be slaughtered.”
“I frankly can’t imagine as president of the United States how you could permit this to happen on this scale,” he said. “And now we’re seeing those results.”
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who was secretary of state when the Syrian crisis unfolded, said she and other members of the Obama administration wanted to be more aggressive helping Syrian rebels in their battle against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
“I advocated for a more robust policy,” Clinton told MSNBC. She said she called on the “entire world” to come together to solve the crisis.
But Michel Gabaudan, president of Refugees International, said the United States can’t be blamed for extreme violence in Syria.
“To accuse Washington of the tremendous horrors that al-Assad has been vesting on his own people is perhaps going a step too far,” he said…..”

Trump has made anti-immigration rhetoric a cornerstone of his campaign, but the Republican presidential candidate said Tuesday evening that though the migrants could pose a security risk — floating the idea that there may be individuals with ties to Islamic militants — he supported allowing them into America.
“I hate the concept of it, but on a humanitarian basis, with what’s happening, you have to,” Trump said to Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly.
The New York businessman spoke to O’Reilly hours after Kentucky clerk Kim Davis was released from jail after being imprisoned for declining to issue same-sex marriage licenses. Some Republicans have characterized her decision as an act of conscience that should be protected, but others have charged that government officials shouldn’t let their personal beliefs get in the way of public services.
Trump puts himself in the latter camp.
“Whether you like the decision or not, you have to go along with the Supreme Court,” Trump said. “This was not the right job for her.”
The Republican also took on the Black Lives Matter movement, which seeks to highlight police brutality against African-Americans. Trump repeatedly countered that “all lives matter,” and chastised Democrats “that are afraid to even say that.”
“It’s disgraceful the way they’re being catered to by the Democrats, and it’s going to end up kicking them you-know-where,” Trump said. “I don’t think it’s going to end up good.”

The Lycee Jean Quarre in the multi-ethnic 19th arrondissement was taken over at the beginning of August. Today it houses around 300 asylum seekers and economic migrants mainly from Sudan, Afghanistan and Eritrea. These are people who before were sleeping rough or in tents on the street.
The place is not exactly salubrious. The school had actually been decommissioned and was sitting empty. The building is in the main sound, but there are dripping ceilings and the electricity cuts out intermittently.
The migrants sleep on mattresses about 20 to a room. They do their best to keep it clean, but it is bare and dingy. Outside in the yard, the young men play basketball, football and cricket….”

They say that Yusufu Mieraili was born in Xinjiang, home to China’s Muslim Uighur minority.
A Chinese official told the Global Times that the bombing may have been the work of separatists in Xinjiang.
No-one has laid claim to the attack, which killed 20 people.
Thai police say Mr Mieraili is part of a group responsible for the blast.

India’s ministry of external affairs said no information was available on the identity of the crew members, but confirmed that 13 were alive.

Saudi Arabia is leading a coalition fighting rebels who took control over the capital, Sanaa, last September.

Yemeni coast guard officials said a Saudi-led coalition attacked more than five boats off the Yemeni coast.

The socialilst governments of Europe have sent the message that they are going to accept all of the so called refugees into Europe. This has opened the floodgates for a massive second wave, once again the refugees will probably me mainly men of military age with a few women and kids for the cameras. “Lagos (AFP) – Nigeria’s military said on Tuesday it had made a number of arrests after intercepting a vehicle allegedly carrying fuel and drugs for Boko Haram Islamists waging a six-year-old insurgency in the northeast.
“Following…directives to troops in the northeast for a painstaking search of motorists and cargoes, troops of the 3 Division Nigerian army have intercepted and arrested some kingpins and foot soldiers of suppliers of Boko Haram terrorists with hard drugs and other stimulants,” the army said in a statement.
It said the seizure was made on Tuesday between the towns of Depchi and Geidam in Yobe state, a hotbed of the Boko Haram insurgency.
Besides drugs the suspects were also transporting fuel, the statement said, without saying how many people had been arrested.
The army claimed the alleged drugs find as proof the insurgents bloody quest to establish a hardline Islamic state in northeast Nigeria was a sham.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Wednesday that the United States was “committed to” taking in more of the Syrian refugees fleeing war in their country.
Kerry spoke to reporters after meetings with lawmakers on Capitol Hill, including one that addressed the migrant crisis in Europe. He did not elaborate on how many would be accepted or when.
Since the start of the civil war in Syria, the United States has taken in about 1,500 refugees, with 300 more expected to clear by October, the State Department has said.

The Danish train operator DSB has canceled its trains to and from Germany. The firm said it was taking action after migrants seeking to enter the country had refused to leave a train.
DSB said it was suspending its train services between Germany and Denmark for an unspecified time. The company said the action had been taken after hundreds of migrants refused to leave a train in a town on the border with Germany.
The Danish rail firm’s decision followed a request from Danish police, as authorities struggle to process the influx.
Police said some 200 people at the port of Rodby, on the island of Lolland, had refused to leave two trains. The migrants asked instead to continue to Sweden, saying they had family or friends there, rather than be housed in Danish reception centers.
Danish authorities have said the migrants will either be registered in Denmark or returned to Germany.
Danish police earlier on Wednesday closed part of a highway near the German border, as some 300 migrants tried to reach Sweden on foot. The migrants, who had been housed in a school in the southwestern of Padborg, said they wanted to head to Sweden, which has more generous asylum rules.
“We are trying to talk to them and tell them that it is a really bad idea to walk on the motorway,” a Danish police spokeswoman said. She added it was unclear if it would be necessary to use force to get the group off the highway.
Denmark has recently introduced tighter restrictions those seeking to file asylum applications. The Danish parliament last week approved cutting welfare benefits to newly arrived refugees and on Monday placed adverts in Lebanese newspapers aimed at deterring migration to the country.

Russia building major military base near Ukrainian border
SOLOTI, Russia, Sept 9 (Reuters) – Russia has started to build a huge military base housing ammunition depots and barracks for several thousand soldiers near the Ukrainian border, a project that suggests the Kremlin is digging in for a prolonged stand-off with Kiev.
The base, when completed, will even have its own swimming pool, skating rink and barber shop, according to public documents. This week workmen were erecting a fence in a cornfield outside the village of Soloti to mark out the perimeter, and told a Reuters reporter to leave, accusing him of being an Ukrainian spy.
In almost the same spot there was a flurry of military activity in April last year that coincided with intense fighting across the Ukrainian frontier that lies about 25 km (15 miles) away. A squadron of Mi-24 attack helicopters was seen there at the time, as well as army tents and trucks.
NATO has accused Russia of using makeshift bases for sending soldiers and hardware into Ukraine to support pro-Russian separatists fighting Kiev.
Russia denies its military is in Ukraine. The defence ministry did not reply to written questions from Reuters about the purpose of the base it is building and whether there was any connection to the Ukraine conflict.
According to tender documents published on the Russian government website zakupki.gov.ru, the ministry is building the military base on a 300-hectare site near Valuyki, a small town not far from Soloti.
The ministry intends to build nine barracks for 3,500 soldiers, warehouses for rockets, artillery weapons, and other munitions with a total area of over 6,000 square metres.
The documents also stated there would be a large training complex, and an infirmary for 50 beds, which can be expanded in case of “massive influx of wounded”.
They did not give the exact location of the base, but local residents in Soloti said they believed it would be on their doorstep. “They are building a military town,” said Alexander Panchenko, a local resident whose house overlooks farmland where preparatory work is underway for a big construction project.
“SECRET FACILITY”
A Reuters reporter saw workers at the site on Monday installing a metal fence and paving the road to the construction site, in a large cornfield near the village. Also there were several construction trailers, an excavator and heaps of rubble behind the fence.
A man in Soloti, who called himself a representative of the Federal Afency for Special Construction – which overseas construction of defence installations – refused to talk about the work, saying only that “a secret facility” was being built.
A builder at the site accused the reporter of being a Ukrainian spy, while his superior stopped the reporter’s car, photographed his documents and said he would call the Federal Security Service, the main counter-intelligence agency.
The field where the work was underway is near a railway line that links Soloti with Moscow and Luhansk, the adjacent Ukrainian region that is controlled by pro-Moscow separatists.
Russia has pulled out of the treaty on Conventional Forces in Europe, a post-Cold War pact that limits the deployment of troops in Europe, so it is free to move extra troops and hardware to its western border.
According to the procurement documents, the defence ministry plans to use the base to train soldiers on artillery and army air defence, as well as in driving tanks and armoured personnel carriers.
The plan includes a site for studying the tactics of the U.S. Army, which was called a “likely enemy” in the document.
On top of that, the base will include a headquarters with a communications node, a dining room for 2,000 soldiers, a recreation centre with the skating rink, sports complexes with a swimming pool, tennis and badminton courts, and a residential complex of more than 1,000 apartments.
The document, seen by Reuters, requires the completion of the first stage – the base design and initial construction and installation works – by April 29, 2016.
Fighting between Ukrainian government forces and the separatists in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions has killed almost 8,000 people since it flared in mid-April 2014.
The violence has almost subsided since Sept. 1 when the Ukrainian parliament backed giving more autonomy to rebel-held areas, in line with a peace deal.
However, the truce is under threat because the sides have not fully agreed on the withdrawal of weapons from the conflict area, and the separatists are preparing local elections without coordination with Kiev.

U.S. officials: Russia sent forces to Syria
Russia has sent two tank landing ships and additional aircraft to Syria in the past day or so and has deployed a small number of naval infantry forces, U.S. officials said on Wednesday, in the latest signs of a military buildup that has put Washington on edge.
The two U.S. officials, who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity, said the intent of Russia’s military moves in Syria remained unclear. One of the officials said initial indications suggested the focus was on preparing an airfield near the port city of Latakia, a stronghold of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Meanwhile, Lebanese sources familiar with political and military developments in Syria said on Wednesday that Russian forces have taken part in military operations in Syria, three one of them saying the Russian participation so far was in “small numbers.”
“They have started in small numbers, but the bigger force did not yet take part,” one of the sources said. “There are numbers of Russians taking part in Syria but they did not yet join the fight against terrorism strongly.”
Another source said: “They are taking part in military operations. It is more than an advisory role.”
The three sources, who spoke on condition they not be identified because of the sensitivity of the issue, did not give further details on the nature of the combat role in support of the Syrian military.
Syrian officials have denied any combat role by Russians in Syria. Moscow said on Wednesday that Russian military experts were present in Syria to assist with Russian arms deliveries to Syria, which Moscow says are aimed at combating terrorism.
Russia has declined to comment on the exact scale and scope of its military presence in Syria. U.S. officials have suggested in recent days that Moscow is scaling up a presence, possibly with the intent of assisting its ally, President Assad.
Asked about the comments from the Lebanese sources, a Syrian military official reiterated his government’s denial and said the Russian role was purely advisory. “Does an advisor take part? No, they don’t,” the official said.
The Syrian information minister said this week that no Russian combat forces were fighting alongside the Syrian army.

Hungary’s migrant transit zones to be closed off from rest of country -lawmaker
Hungary’s planned new transit zones near the Serbian border will be closed off from the rest of Hungary but migrants whose asylum requests are rejected will be returned to Serbia , a senior Hungarian ruling Fidesz party lawmaker said on Wednesday.
Gergely Gulyas reiterated that there was no point in talking about migrant quotas until mass immigration was stopped.
When asked if the new transit zones would be similar to police detention centres he said:
“They won’t be similar, so these zones will not be closed towards Serbia, we do not want to prevent in any way those who have come from there to return there,” Gulyas told a news conference. “Towards Hungary, of course, they will be closed.”

CANADA MONTREAL – Teen facing terror charges opened up when religion challenged, trial hears
Religion was the subject that finally got a 15-year-old boy, arrested last year on terrorism-related charges, to start really talking to the police.
The teenager, who is from western Montreal, was arrested on Oct. 17 last year on suspicion he robbed a dépanneur in Lachine to purchase a plane ticket to head to a country where he would allegedly take part in a terrorist activity.
For a couple of hours Montreal police detective Claudio Del Corpo and RCMP investigator Brahim Soussi tried to get the boy to explain why he held up the convenience store using a knife, the boy’s trial heard on Wednesday.
It was Soussi who finally pressed the right emotional button when he asked the teenager about religion and his beliefs in Islam.
The boy had been calm throughout the interrogation until that point. But a video of the interrogation, being played at Montreal’s Youth Court on Wednesday, shows how the boy suddenly came to life when Soussi challenged, and even mocked, the boy’s interpretation of what a good Muslim is.
The boy tried to fight back and criticized Soucy, who is a Muslim, for working “for Ottawa.”
At one point he criticized Canada for being a democracy and said it should be ruled by Islamic law.
When Soussi asked what it would take to achieve this goal, the boy replied, “By the force it takes.”
Before getting the teen to open up, Soussi had tried other options. He mentioned that he knew the boy had a grandfather who lived in Algeria and wanted to move to Canada. He asked the boy how his grandfather would react to learning his grandson was in police custody for an armed robbery. Soussi also brought up the boy’s younger siblings and asked whether he was treated well at his school.
Soussi revealed that he had spoken to one of the boy’s teachers, who described him as headstrong, someone who gets an idea and sees it through to the end.
For the most part, the teenager gave very short replies, often no more than a sentence.
But almost as soon as Soussi raised the subject of religion their exchange became a real conversation — two people expressing their thoughts on a subject they clearly disagreed on. Soussi managed to get the boy to open up after suggesting he was someone who could be easily manipulated because of his young age.
The floodgate opened when Soussi asked the boy about how often he read the Koran and whether he had ever read all of it. The boy replied that he had never read the entire Koran but argued that he still knew more about Islam than Soussi.
“Yes, I understand it completely,” the boy said.
Soussi replied that the boy clearly did not.
“I understand it more than you,” the boy said as his emotions began to show.
After having spent most of the interrogation seated with his back resting against a wall in the small room at the Montreal police West Operations Centre in the St-Laurent borough, the boy was suddenly leaning forward in his chair toward Soussi. At one point he tapped one of his fingers on a small table to emphasize a point and said, “Don’t judge my beliefs.”
The boy then suggested that Soussi’s work for the RCMP made him a bad Muslim.
“Helping the police goes against Muslims,” he said.
“You serve the laws of politicians and all of that,” he said at another point in the interrogation. He also criticized Soussi for working to protect “people who drink” alcohol.
The origin of the 15-year-old’s anger appeared to be Canada’s participation in wars against terrorism in countries like Afghanistan. When Soussi asked the boy if he was at war, the boy replied: “Yes.”
He also said his interpretation of Islam came from a short book by a person he described as a scholar, who he found on the Internet.
Soussi mocked this and suggested the boy had no idea who the scholar was.
“If I showed you a photo of him among 10 other guys you wouldn’t be able to pick him out,” Soussi said.
“You are far from understanding things. You read two articles and watched videos on the Internet and you think you are a Muslim.”
During one heated exchange the boy referred to his father as “an apostle” and characterized moderate Muslims as “half-believers.”
Soussi countered that one of the very basic rules of Islam — “even kids in primary schools in Islamic countries know this one” — is that children are expected to respect their parents.
“What you are doing is an imbalance of all you have studied about Islam,” Soussi said.
At one point the boy got up and tried to leave the interrogation room for the first time.
“You’re not at home here. You can’t act like you would with your parents!” Soussi said before the boy returned to his chair. “It is disrespectful and impolite.”
Soussi even got the boy to talk about the armed robbery. The teenager said he had “no remorse” for what he did and suggested that, as part of his beliefs, it was okay to rob from non-Muslims.

Trial starts for 16-year-old Montrealer accused of robbery to finance jihad
MONTREAL — In his school uniform of grey flannel pants and polo shirt, the 15-year-old looked like a child hauled to the principal’s office for misbehaving
But the people questioning him were police investigators and the accusations were deadly serious: robbing a convenience store at knifepoint to fund a jihadi mission overseas.
As the teen’s trial on terrorism charges opened Tuesday in Quebec Court’s youth division, a video was played of his interrogation the day he was arrested at his private high school Oct. 17.
The video shows Brahim Soussi of the RCMP’s national security team advising the boy, who cannot be identified because he is a minor, he was suspected of attempting to leave Canada to join a terrorist group, an offence under the Criminal Code.
Soussi expressed amazement someone so young had caught the attention of anti-terror investigators.
“At 15, normally you shouldn’t be here,” he said. “We shouldn’t be having this discussion. You are too young.”
A Grade 10 student with top marks and a bursary from his prestigious Montreal school, the teen had no previous brushes with the law.
“You are not the type of person who is usually in that chair,” Soussi said.
But previous questioning by Montreal police Sgt.-Det. Claudio Del Corpo revealed his alleged interest in Islamist terrorism had been developing for some time.
The boy’s father told investigators his son had begun visiting websites connected with “Islamist terrorist groups” in 2012. There had also been a previous incident involving credit cards and an attempted money transfer overseas.
“We spoke to your father. He is very worried about you,” Del Corpo said.
He said the evidence against the youth for the holdup was overwhelming. Police had obtained his backpack, which he had stashed in his yard, containing a knife, a bag full of money and the scarf he used to cover his face during the robbery, Del Corpo told him.
The security video from the store showed a robber wearing a jacket and basketball shoes identical to those the teen had at school the day of his arrest.
“What we want to know is why you did it,” the investigator said, to which the boy replied, “I’m not answering.”
The court has not heard the entire three hours of videotaped questioning, but throughout the first half, the teen, who has since turned 16, was extraordinarily composed, refusing to answer any potentially incriminating questions.
One of the arresting officers testified he was struck by the 15-year-old’s calm.
“Usually when I arrest a youngster, they show signs of nervousness. They start crying. They say, ‘What are my parents going to say? What are my friends going to say?’” Pasquale Spagnolo of the Montreal police told the court.
“I thought, either he did a lot of crimes when he was a bit younger or he was a professional at whatever he does, because he showed no emotion whatsoever.”
Dressed in an Adidas jacket, sweat pants and wearing black-rimmed glasses, the accused showed no more emotion in court and only rarely looked into the public gallery where his father sat.
He remains in custody after pleading guilty to the convenience store robbery.
The current trial before Judge Dominique Wilhelmy is on one charge of committing a crime “for the benefit of, at the direction of or in association with a terrorist group” and a second charge of attempting to leave Canada for the purpose of aiding a terrorist group.
Federal Crown prosecutor Lyne Décarie told the court investigators found items related to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) on the boy’s computer. She said witnesses during the three-week trial will include an expert on Salafi jihadism.
The defence is seeking to have the interrogation ruled inadmissible as evidence on the grounds the accused’s rights were violated.
Del Corpo testified he told the boy of his right to contact a lawyer and his right to remain silent before questioning him. He also told him he could have one of his parents or another adult present during the questioning, but he declined the offer.
The court heard the boy spoke briefly to a lawyer by phone, but chose not to have one present during his questioning.

The second day of trial continues for a Lachine teenager charged with terror-related offences after robbing a convenience store to allegedly get money for a plane ride overseas to join a jihadist group.
The teen has already pleaded guilty to armed robbery. He now faces two charges of terror-related offences. Federal prosecutors allege he committed the robbery for the benefit of an unspecified terrorist organization.
On Wednesday, Judge Dominique Wilhelmy was shown the rest of a video recording of the teen’s interrogation by police the day of his arrest, Oct. 7, 2014.

At the time, the accused was 15.
During the interrogation, the accused can be seen launching into a rant about his vision of Islam.
“You’re a traitor,” he yells at RCMP investigator Brahim Soussi in the video.
“You work for non-believers. You are an apostate.”
The teen also says he’s against democracy.
“I have the right to go to a miscreant and take his things,” he continues in the video.
“It’s considered the spoils of war and I am at war.”
The accused often interrupts Soussi, saying he doesn’t want to talk anymore.
“I have reasons why I did what I did,” he replies when asked about the robbery.
“Non-believers won’t understand. Only Muslims will.”
The teen then refuses to answer any more questions, ending the interrogation.
Teen’s father testifies
On Wednesday, the accused’s father testified about the day his son was arrested.
He told the court that he didn’t find out his son had been arrested until police arrived to search his home.
He said he was told he couldn’t see his son and that his son had refused his presence.

The teen, who is now 16, was arrested at a private high school in Lachine in October.
On Tuesday, Sgt.-Det. Claudio Del Corpo testified the grade 10 student was brought to the principal’s office to be placed under arrest in connection with the armed robbery of a convenience store.

A search warrant being carried out at the family’s home in Lachine and later an RCMP investigation into the teen’s alleged ties to a terrorist organization.
In the first half of the interrogation video, played for the court on Tuesday, the teen appears calm and talks about his family and school.
He declines to answer some of the questions including what websites he usually visits.
“There’s no question that you did this,” Del Corpo tells the teen on the recording, referring to the crimes he’s accused of committing. “But why?”
“I won’t answer,” the teen replies.
During the interrogation, Del Corpo suggests the accused had been visiting websites tied to terrorist organizations since 2012 while attending a private high school on a bursary.
The prosecution said the court will later hear from a police investigator who found the flag and logo of ISIS saved on the teen’s computer, as well as experts on topics including jihadists and the “situation in Syria.”
The prosecution has said it would seek an adult sentence if the accused is found guilty.
The accused cannot be named because he is being tried in youth court.

CANADA – High school teacher fired after investigation into ‘racist’ tweets
Richmond Green teacher Michael Marshall has been dismissed following student allegations of anti-Muslim posts online.
A Richmond Hill teacher has been fired following a 10-week investigation into “racist” comments critical of Islam that he allegedly posted online.
Michael Marshall was dismissed following a meeting of the York Region District School Board (YRDSB) on Tuesday, said board spokesperson Licinio Miguelo.
Miguelo said no one at the school or the board would be available to comment further.
Marshall could not be reached on Tuesday or Wednesday for comment.
The investigation began after students at Richmond Green Secondary School discovered a Twitter account, @firstatheist, which featured a profile picture of Marshall and numerous tweets mentioning pupils’ names.
At the time, the @YRDSB Twitter account said the board takes “concerns about racist tweets very seriously and are investigating.”
The @firstatheist account tweeted more than 4,500 times, including messages that said:
“I get sad when girls I teach decide to wear the hijab. I feel like a failure,”
“Hijabs make me sad.”
“Just have a trailer full of guns roll down the street and arm the ghetto. Oh wait that’s black ppl.”
“Kinda have this perverse urge to wear a hijab for a day and twerk in the street.”
“There is an absolute s***-ton of Muslims at Ikea tonight. Any special occasion?”
“I’m sorry but sharia law is incompatible with my democratic secular nation. You can have it, but keep it over there in backward land.”
“Decided that I am way too racist to be a teacher #theycantbreathe”
The @firstatheist account has remained inactive since June 25.
Students also discovered the Twitter account linked to a Weebly blog post dated Aug. 25, 2014, where the author self-identified as a 30-something teacher in Toronto who runs a gay-straight alliance group.
Marshall supervised a GSA club, as well as a slam-poetry society, at Richmond Green.
The Weebly blog included a post mentioning a trip to the “Bible belt of the American south.” The Star verified that Marshall visited the area with one of his acquaintances.
Someone claiming to be a former student wrote on the blog after the news first broke: “With all the negativity on Twitter and the uncertainty that’s clouded everyone’s judgment, I’m not sure if I’ll see you next year.
“Whether that’s the case or not, I’d like to thank you for all your thought-provoking lessons and your willingness to overextend yourself to help a student improve.”
Another wrote: “I can’t thank you enough for spreading this idea of free thought all throughout the semester.”
On Twitter, Marshall self-identifies as the author of another account, @marshallisaboss. No tweets have come from that account since the allegations were made.
That account only mentions Muslims once, quoting an article saying that Valentine’s Day is a threat to Muslim values, to which he responds “really? No rose for you … do we agree with this?”
In 2010, a teacher at Woodbridge College named Mike Marshall was given an “Unsung Hero” award by the Educational Services Committee of District 16. Marshall was a teacher at the school at that time, where his score on the website ratemyteachers.com was an impressive 4.7 out of 5 stars.
More than 30 reviews on the site rate Marshall positively at Richmond Green, with students appearing to claim he is an “amazing teacher” who is “very understanding” and goes “that extra mile.” One review on the site from May 11 reads: “He is also very opinionated about controversial topics such as religion and often comes across as insensitive to others beliefs inappropriate for a classroom.”
Speaking to the Star in June, YRDSB co-ordinating superintendent Cecil Roach said he knew the teacher personally and the allegations would be “very disturbing” if true, because “one of the lead poets in the slam group is a hijab-wearing girl.”
Asgari, 17, who was taught by Marshall as part of the slam team, said she cannot recall a time Marshall was openly racist, but said “he told me before he has other accounts, and I remember him saying he argues with Muslim extremists on Twitter.
“They were little remarks, and I always thought he was joking because I looked up to him as a teacher.”

CANADA – Second woman files human rights complaint in fight to have face covered during citizenship ceremony
In a complaint filed with the Canadian Human Rights Commission, Maiia Mykolayivna Zaafrane says she was discriminated against on the basis of religion when she was not allowed to participate in a citizenship ceremony because she refused to remove her niqab, a garment that covers her head and face, except her eyes.
The niqab ban became a major political flashpoint this year after another Muslim woman, Zunera Ishaq, challenged the policy in Federal Court. A judge ruled in February that the policy was unlawful because it violated federal regulations requiring citizenship judges to allow would-be citizens the “greatest possible freedom in the religious solemnization or the solemn affirmation of the oath.”
Prime Minister Stephen Harper immediately vowed to appeal, saying it was “offensive” that newcomers would hide their faces at the moment they are joining the “Canadian family.” The Conservatives also promised that, if re-elected this fall, they would bring in legislation entrenching the no-face-cover policy into law.
Zaafrane’s human rights complaint was filed in April 2014 but only recently came to light after the federal government tried to have her case adjourned pending the outcome of the appeal of the Ishaq decision. The government’s motion to adjourn was dismissed and Zaafrane’s complaint will proceed before the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal.
Zaafrane, who lives in Montreal, moved to Canada several years ago from Ukraine, where there is a small Muslim population. She declined an interview request.
But Amira Elghawaby, a spokeswoman for the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM), which assisted Zaafrane with her complaint, said Zaafrane showed up at a citizenship ceremony consisting of 400 people in December 2013 but was not allowed to take part because she refused to remove her veil. Citizenship officials later offered to reschedule her for a smaller ceremony with about 80 people, but Zaafrane didn’t accept the offer, Elghawaby said.
Zaafrane has no problem showing her face in a private room to a female official to confirm her identity but insists on keeping her face covered during the public ceremony, Elghawaby said.
“NCCM believes she is within her rights to request an accommodation of her religious beliefs,” she said.

The test before the Human Rights Tribunal will be to determine whether the niqab ban — which was introduced in 2011 by then-Immigration Minister Jason Kenney — violates the Canadian Human Rights Act. If discrimination is found, the tribunal can order that a victim be compensated.
Meanwhile, the Ishaq case is set to be heard before the Federal Court of Appeal later this month. It is likely to focus on the question of whether the niqab ban violates the Citizenship Act and its regulations. The appeal court may also have to consider whether the policy infringes on the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
A spokeswoman for Citizenship and Immigration Canada declined to comment, saying the matter is before the courts.
A study released last year by the Canadian Council of Muslim Women found that niqab-wearing women in Canada constitute a very small sub-culture sustained by “determined individuals.”
The decision to wear one is highly personal and individual, but “religious obligation” and “expression of Muslim identity” were the reasons cited most often.

According to a report carried by RTL’s German language service, the terrorist is a 21-year-old Moroccan using a “false identity” who had registered as an asylum seeker in the district of Ludwigsburg. He was identified after police linked him to a European arrest warrant issued by the Spanish authorities. He is accused of recruiting fighters for ISIS, where he acted as a contact person for fighters who wanted to travel to Syria or Iraq.
This first confirmed arrest of a bogus “asylum seeker” came simultaneously with the admission by a German finance ministry spokesman that “boxes” of fake Syrian passports, destined for sale and distribution to the hordes of nonwhite invaders seeking to settle in Europe as bogus “war refugees,” had been seized.
That news, carried in a report by the German Tagespiegel newspaper, also revealed that 10,000 fake Syrian passports were seized by police in Bulgaria, on their way to Germany.
The finance ministry official said both genuine and forged passports were in the packets intercepted in the post. Possession of these passports is a vital part of claiming “asylum” as “war refugees.”
The Tagespiegel also revealed that the fake Syrian passports are being sold for about $1,500 each—and the fact that many of the “refugees” can afford to buy multiple passports is yet another indication of the bogus nature of their claims to be “asylum seekers.”
Significantly, the Tagespiegel article continued, “It is not only Syrians who are interested in Syrian passports. Refugees from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan want to become Syrian in order to secure their recognition as asylum seekers in Western Europe. According to press reports, nine out of ten refugees who came from Macedonia to Serbia claimed they were Syrians.”
The trade in fake Syrian passports was also confirmed by the head of the EU frontier police, Fabrice Leggeri, in a recent interview with the Europe 1 TV station.
Leggeri told Europe 1 that the trade in fake Syrian passports originated in Turkey. “There are people who are now in Turkey, buying false Syrian passports because they have obviously realized that it is a windfall since Syrians get asylum in all Member States in the European Union,” he said.
“People who use false Syrian passports often speak in Arabic. They may originate in North Africa or the Middle East, but have the profile of economic migrants.”

After clearing away villages and farms within 3 to 5 kilometers of its border with Gaza, Egypt on Monday embarked on the second stage of its plan to protect itself from Hamas terrorists and tunnel smugglers – the construction of a medieval-style moat around Gaza.
The moat, officials expect, will prevent tunnels from being built, as Gaza tunnel diggers will be unable to dig deep enough to go under the moat. The moat will be filled with seawater from the Mediterranean.
It’s not known if Egypt plans to stock the moat with alligators or other similar natural deterrence methods.
