Did the Islamic State tweet the attack before it happened? More: Links 1 on July 17 – 2015

1. KISS front man does intelligent interview about Trump and politics

2. This clip of Judge Napolitano using an interesting rhetorical device to describe the current state of US law, was sent to me as the reason he was fired. I have no idea if that is the case or not but its a good clip and if that is the case it adds a lot of weight to his argument.

3. FBI sees no terrorism link (BBC)

(Given the parameters that Obama imposed on the FBI, parameters that many experts claim is the reason the Boston plot was not foiled in advance, it is perfectly reasonable that the motives and links are unfathomable to the FBI. Either that or its time for a new guide dog)

Local prosecutors are investigating the attacks – in which three people were also injured – as “domestic terrorism”.

However, the FBI says Abdulazeez’s motive is unclear.

A police officer and a marine corps recruiter were wounded, along with a female sailor who remains in a serious condition in hospital.

4. Nuclear deal: Saudis signal they’ll act before Iran gets the money

The nuclear deal that will lift tough sanctions on Iran is mobilizing Saudi Arabia to turn the tide against its regional rival in Yemen and Syria before it makes an economic recovery, military officials and analysts say.

According to the sources, the military component of the Saudi offensive will include the use of special forces on the ground in Yemen, and a potentially widened use of Saudi and allied Sunni air power in Syria.

5. “If ISIS is involved, all hell is gonna break loose”

(No. It won’t. Their lawyer, who seems to live at 1600 pennsylvania ave Washington DC., will not let hell break loose. At least from this end)

6. This photo of the outside of the recruitment center in Tennessee has to be the current icon for irony and the stupidity of the ‘gun free zone’ for this year at least. But frankly, there are other equally good examples from various colleges where nut bag students attacked faculty and alumni and could not be stopped by people who otherwise would have had a firearm.

7. Chattanooga Gunman’s Middle East Trips Probed

Federal investigators are looking into whether the Chattanooga gunman made several trips to the Middle East, according to US reports.

Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, who authorities say killed four US Marines in shootings on two military sites in Tennessee, spent nearly seven months in Jordan in 2014, the Wall Street Journal reported.

A source close to the investigation confirmed to Reuters that authorities are looking at Abdulazeez’s travel history to the region, including a possible trip to Yemen.

8. All 10 South Africans detained in China heading home – Dirco

Johannesburg – All 10 South Africans detained in China a few weeks ago will soon be home, the department of international relations and co-operation (Dirco) said on Friday.

On Thursday, a Chinese official told news agency AFP that a group of foreigners had been detained for distributing “terrorist” materials.

  1. Judge Nepolitano was fired from Fox? I hadn’t heard that. Granted, I no longer get cable news but that is surprising. Does anyone have a link to a story of his firing?

      • I looked it up. He wasn’t fired per se, His show on Fox Business was cancelled in Feb of 2012! He still has a contract and appears regularly on the Fox News channel.

  2. Saudi is trying to defeat Iran before they get enough money to let their massively larger population win the war. Another example of Obama’s policies causing massive violence.
