2. Police Officer Dies in Shooting at Paris’ Edge, Amid Tension

An assailant opened fire on a police officer on the southern edge of Paris early Thursday, killing her and injuring a nearby street sweeper before fleeing, officials and a witness said. France’s interior minister cautioned against jumping to conclusions a day after the deadly assault on a satirical newspaper that killed 12 people.

The attacker in the pre-dawn shooting Thursday remained at large, said French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve. It was not immediately clear whether the attack was linked to the assault on the newspaper Charlie Hebdo, in which two police officers were among the dead.

5. Choudary on Hannity on the French attack.

(As much as I am sick to death of this particular enemy spokesman, I suppose we had better listen to him in the spirit of its stupid to not listen to your enemy even if its just to know what it is they want us to think)

6. The BBC seemingly accidentally, published on their website one of the most innocuous of the Hebdo cartoons briefly, then quickly yanked it in keeping with their policy of assisting Muslims in ending the enlightenment. Below is a screen cap of the BBC site before an aware reader did a screen cap of it. Here is a link to how the page looks now. At the time, the pic below was in the actual header of the article. Now it isn’t just blurred, they appear to have removed it altogether in order to cover their cowardice.

It’s much more useful to watch and re-watch your video about how Tards use words than to hear them over & over from a mutt called Choudary.

  3. Nigeria Boko Haram: ‘2,000 feared killed’ after Baga attacked for second time in days

Nigerian Islamist militant group Boko Haram has launched a second attack on the north-eastern town of Baga.

Fighters from the group set fire to huge swathes of the town according to the BBC, who cited a local government official. “It has been burnt down,” Musa Alhaji Buka said.

Bodies littered the streets of the town after the attack amid fears that up to 2,000 people may have been killed, the official told the BBC.

The town was almost completely destroyed, according to reports in local media.

Boko Haram initially captured Baga on 4 January , having attempted to seize the town and a nearby multinational military base on a number of occasions in recent months.

  4. Egypt to remove border city Rafah for buffer zone

The Egyptian authorities have decided to remove the city of Rafah on the borders with the Gaza Strip completely, says the governor of North Sinai district Abd al-Fattah Harhour.

In a news conference Wednesday, Harhour said it would be necessary to remove Rafah city completely in order to create a buffer zone on the borders with the Gaza Strip.

“A new Rafah city is being established with residential zones appropriate to the nature and traditions of the residents of Rafah.”

He confirmed that engineering units have already been asked to start work on the new city.

The governor’s remarks came ahead of the second stage of evacuation of Rafah houses in preparation to create a buffer zone between Egypt and Gaza. According to the original plan, 1,220 houses were slated for evacuation.

Some 2,044 families live in those houses.
