A teacher is believed to have been burned alive while her pupils were forced to watch as Taliban gunmen stormed a school in Pakistan in an apparent revenge attack for Malala Yousafzai winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
Seven Taliban terrorists attacked the Army Public School in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar today, slaughtering 132 children in the deadliest terrorist attack in the nation’s history.
Harrowing eyewitness accounts revealed how students were forced to watch as bodies were burned beyond recognition.
Other survivors told how they played dead while insurgents scoured the school looking for children to shoot, before open fire indiscriminately – sometimes with smiles on their faces.

Over 230 bodies found in mass grave in eastern Syria -monitoring group
BEIRUT, Dec 17 (Reuters) – More than 230 bodies of people believed to have been killed by Islamic State militants have been found in a mass grave in Syria’s eastern Deir al-Zor province, a group monitoring the country’s war said on Wednesday.
The bodies were believed to be members of the al-Sheitaat tribe which had battled Islamic State militants, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. NEWSWEEK – Tommy Robinson: ‘Ukip Understands the Threat Islam Poses 100%’
Tommy Robinson, the co-founder and former leader of the far-right English Defence League (EDL) has indicated that he will support Ukip in the next general election, saying that the anti-EU party “understands the threat Islam poses 100%”.
Explaining where his political loyalties lie, Robinson, 32, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley Lennon, said: “I’m a working class lad, I come from parents who were immigrants and generations of Labour voters. I should be Labour but they don’t represent me. What we have now is people like me – working class people – moving towards Ukip without knowing what Ukip is really about.”
He continued: “But we do know we agree about the EU and immigration. I’m sure every other of their policies will go against working men like me, but they understand us. I don’t really even have a problem with immigration, as I said, I’m the son of immigrants, but it’s this Islamic ideology that everyone else is failing to address.”
Robinson left the EDL in October 2013, supposedly because he had concerns about the “dangers of far-right extremism” and doubted the productiveness of the marches he used to organise. However, he has now indicated he will return next summer: “I wouldn’t rule out organising these kind of marches in the UK but I’m on license so I can’t contact the EDL. On 22nd July I have my freedom of speech back.”
Despite spending time with “moderate Muslims”, and even working briefly with the anti-radicalisation thinktank the Quilliam Foundation, Robinson is convinced that a divide between Muslims and non-Muslims will lead to conflict in Britain. “The UK is heading to civil war. Whether it happens in five, 10 or 20 years, there will be bloodshed. I left the EDL and went and spoke to moderate Muslims but I really don’t believe this issue will be solved, it’s too big. I have done a lot of searching and there’s no answer. It terrifies me. Things are just getting worse.”
Robinson praised the recent anti-Islam marches in Germany that have focussed on the city of Dresden: “I was quite surprised at how restrained they were in Dresden. With the EDL there was a lot more aggression and I think that deterred ordinary people coming out.”
“[What’s happening] in Germany, it’s amazing, their numbers are growing every week,” he said.
German chancellor Angela Merkel has condemned the marches, saying there is “no place in Germany” for hatred of Muslims or any other religious or racial group.
People applying to be Ukip members must agree under their terms and conditions that they are not and have never been a member of the EDL or other far-right groups.
Newsweek contacted Ukip for a response to Robinson’s comments but none was immediately forthcoming.

J.P. Levesque says recent events, such as the shooting on Parliament Hill, made him realize he knew very little about Islam, or the city’s Muslim population.
“I’m fairly ignorant where it comes to that community, and so … a meeting was setup with leaders of the Muslim community. The meeting was very positive and, as a result of that, they asked me and deputy chief Hay to attend Friday prayers, which we attended last Friday.”
Levesque said he felt very welcomed by the Muslim community.
He also received some suggestions, including having school resource officers make a special presentation to Muslim teenagers.
“I’ve really spent a lot of time trying to build relations with the Aboriginal community,” Levesque continued. “The reality is there are all kinds of other communities out there within the larger community and, after what occurred in Ottawa … [and] some of the backlash throughout the country against Muslim communities, it occurred to me that it is one portion of the community I’ve never reached out to.”

ISESCO protests against change of Andalusia-based Cordoba Mosque’s name
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) protested against the Diocese of Cordoba’s move renaming the Mosque of Cordoba as the “Cathedral of Cordoba” on its website and in its relevant printed materials.
ISESCO deemed this act as an attempt to obliterate the landmarks of Islamic history in Andalusia, and a provocation for Muslims around the world, especially Muslims of Spain.
In the same vein, the Organization commended the position of Andalusia’s Minister for Tourism, Rafael Rodríguez, who rejected such an illegal and unreasonable move aimed at altering the mosque’s identity. It also praised the minister’s protest against the Diocese’s act and his initiative to challenge the unconstitutional character of the church’s control over the Mosque.
Earlier this year, ISESCO had invited UNESCO to immediately intervene to a revoke such a decision as contrary to the requirements for the registration of this historical civlizational landmark on its World Heritage List.
The Mosque of Cordoba, built by Muslims in the 8th century, is one of the most outstanding landmarks of Cordoba which was a center of intellectual radiation in that period. 🙂 🙂 🙂 When Christians regained control of Cordoba in the 3rd century, they set up a cathedral in the middle of the mosque, thus changing an important part of its aesthetic and architectural identity.
It is noteworthy that ISESCO launched an international campaign in September to prevent an irreversible transfer of ownership of the Mosque of Cordoba to the Diocese, under a law passed in Spain, allowing the registration of ownership of houses of worship at a nominal price.
ISESCO Director General, Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, addressed letters on this subject to the head of the Regional Government of Andalusia, as well as to UNESCO Director General, the OIC Secretary General and the Arab League’s Secretary General, urging them to act within the scope of their powers and functions to prevent the church’s appropriation of the mosque and to maintain it as an open universal heritage.

ISLAMOPHOBIA – Blackburn man would burn down mosque!
A man who was being spoken to by police shouted abuse at people who were watching from across the road.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Phillip Anthony Townley told onlookers he would burn down their mosque.
Townley, 56, of Cornelian Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to racially-aggravated threatening behaviour. He was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months, made subject to an electronically-monitored curfew between 8pm and 8am for six weeks and ordered to pay £280 costs.
Passing sentence, District Judge James Clarke said Townley attempted to justify his behaviour by claiming to be an Englishman. “Your behaviour went against everything expected of an Englishman — tolerance, understanding and respect for others,” said District Judge Clarke. “The society we live in expects better.”
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said police were speaking to Townley outside the Postal Order on Darwen Street and he was clearly drunk.
Defending, Peter King said: “He recognises his behaviour was wholly inappropriate.”
