Generation Jihad is here. 80 percent of young Turks in Holland see “nothing wrong” in waging Jihad against non-Muslims. 27 percent of all young French and 14 percent of all young British under 25 sympathize with the genocidal terror organisation Islamic State. This includes most probably the vast majority of young Muslims in these two countries. These horrific numbers fit well with the fact that 75 percent of Muslims in Europe think that the Quran must be taken literally.

    • So much for Golden Ages of Islam.

What, cher historian, will be expunged from existing history books? what will textbooks look like?

I, too, love history, always have. Pity.

      • Yeah I was taught things like this when I was in school, today you are called racist if you mention what was done.

        • History can accommodate different interpretations, incorporate different primary sources.

For example: Controversy about “La leyenda negra” – what the Spanish did to the natives of the New World – was around almost from the beginning. That the brutality was exaggerated to make the Conquistadors look bad. Critics were called “Judaizers” but still made themselves heard.

  1. Pope Calls On World To End Islamic State Barbarism.

Pope Francis has considerably upped the ante in enlisting spiritual leader of the world’s Orthodox Christians – Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I – to sign a joint Common Declaration demanding an end to international indifference regarding Islamic State barbarism being perpetrated against religious minorities in Syria and Iraq.

  2. The numbers are bad enough, of course, but I’m surprised that as many as 25% believe, or are willing to say, that they don’t think the Koran should be taken literally. Perhaps that has something to do with the way the question was asked. 25% of the Muslims surveyed might allow that more than one binding interpretation is possible over some triviality or other within different schools of jurisprudence, while still allowing no real latitude for discussion of 99.9% of Koranic evil.
