1. Alarm after vomiting passenger dies on flight from Nigeria to JFK

(Now that would ruin your in-flight meal)

A plane from Nigeria landed at JFK Airport Thursday with a male passenger aboard who had died during the flight after a fit of vomiting — and CDC officials conducted a “cursory” exam before announcing there was no Ebola and turning the corpse over to Port Authority cops to remove, Rep. Peter King said on Thursday.

(Funny but for everyone else it takes days to decide who has Ebola with quarantines and blood tests. How could they know so fast with the dead fellow? Daily Mail link here)

2. This is a very interesting article about Islamic burial rights.

3. Libya’s government holed up in a 1970s hotel

But three years after the fall of Gaddafi, Libya’s new members of parliament can’t get on with the job. They’re trapped in a grey, concrete hotel in a remote port 1,000km (620 miles) from the capital, Tripoli – fighting a lonely battle, they believe, against the forces of militant Islamism.

4. Daniel Greenfield: The Savage Lands of Islam

Excellent article exposing the ethos of at least one Islamic state. The KSA.

6. Report on Greely explosion published yesterday but actually contains older information than the police published on Sunday the 12th Oct. There is really something odd about this one.

7. British terrorists fighting for ISIS in Iraq and Syria could be tried for ‘high treason’ reveals Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond

8. Pakistani Christian woman is sentenced to hang for ‘blasphemous’ comments about prophet Mohammed during row with Muslim women who refused to share water

While working as a berry picker in 2009, 46-year-old Asia Bibi got into a dispute with a group of Muslim women who objected to her drinking their water because as a Christian she was considered ‘unclean’.

Hours after the incident one of the women reported mother-of-five Ms Bibi to a local cleric, claiming she had made disparaging remarks about the prophet Mohammed during the row.

As a result of the allegations, a furious mob arrived at Ms Bibi’s home and savagely beat her and members of her family.

She was later arrested, charged with blasphemy and eventually sentenced to death – with her entire family forced to go into hiding after receiving threats on their lives.

9. Here is an excellent example of intellectual slight of hand. A public servant is under investigation for a negative comment about a muslim. Observe the reaction:
“If he feels this way about Muslims, I would like to know how he feels about blacks? Jews? Gays? Hispanics?” the woman said.  “And how has this affected his job performance? Does Teller County condone this behavior and if not, how has he risen to this position?”

To think that because he feels negatively about muslims he likely also feels negatively about other groups is truly a logical scam.  It is identical to saying that because someone says something negative about the Democrat party they must therefore feel negatively about the Canadian Liberals or Conservatives and all other political ideologies as well as Chinese people and Laotians. It is an insane leap of logic. I dislike the Nazis. This does not translate into not liking flocks of New Zealand hook bills or Chesapeake Bay Retrievers.

The entire point of intelligence is the ability to discriminate between things which are beneficial and things which are a threat. The entire point of cultural marxism is to destroy that exact ability.
Thank you Don Laird, M., Richard and many people who sent in materials. More to come.

  1. GREECE – Pig’s head, hate slogans at Athens Muslim center

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greek police say unknown attackers have placed a severed pig’s head and painted anti-Muslim slogans outside an Islamic studies center in Athens.

Nobody has been arrested over the pre-dawn attack Friday, at a building that also functions as a Muslim prayer center.

The attackers sprayed an obscene slogan against Islam on the sidewalk outside the building, daubed a Christian cross on the door and threw paint at the walls.

The attack was discovered by worshippers going to Friday prayers.

Bigotry targeting Jews and Muslims has increased in Greece in recent years, which also saw the meteoric rise of a Nazi-inspired far-right party. Golden Dawn entered Parliament in 2012, but all its lawmakers now face trial for running a criminal organization that used violence to spread and impose its beliefs.

“Pakistani Christian woman is sentenced to hang for ‘blasphemous’ comments about prophet”

The fact that the Muslims of Pakistan are actually going to go ahead with the hanging of Asia Bibi says so much about that country. Clearly, Pakistanis consider Christians to be no better than diseased rats, devoid of all human rights. So why are we letting tens-of-thousands of Pakistanis into our Judeo/Christian-based country when it is so obvious that they consider us to be less than vermin? The facts prove beyond a doubt that they would treat us just the way they are treating Asia Bibi if they ever achieved the numbers and the power to do so…

  3. #4 Great article.

My only quibble is with the brief sketch of life in Saudi Arabia in the early paragraphs. Most Western expats will tell you it is not as unrelentingly, uniformly unbearable as Daniel Greenfield suggests. There is some regional variation, and a lot goes on under the radar, even outside the compounds. People have to live, and the Saudis will turn a blind eye when it suits them. None of that makes it all right, but it’s more complicated.

Also, not all Saudis are wealthy, far from it, and the pecking order in Saudi Arabia is more complicated than Muslim man, Muslim woman, everyone else. Saudi men and Saudi women are at the top in their own complex hierarchy. In the lower registers, a professional white Western kafir ranks higher than most Muslim Indians in most situations.

    • Don, is there some article or pictures that would give a better idea of what the KSA is like? My mental images are at least as stark as the Sultan’s.

      • yucki, I had a look over a few articles on this website just now and it seems to me that the things they discuss they get about right:

        http://livinginsaudiarabia.org/

You can infer a fair amount from the headlines. ‘Be careful what you send on your phone.’ Because people send things on their phones. ‘Can you drink alcohol?’ No, if that’s can for permission. ‘Can you worship any other religion?’ ‘Pornography in Saudi Arabia.’ ‘What can you wear as a woman?’ (Well, a black tent, but it’s sometimes just possible to get away with tarting it up a bit).

This is not to say that Saudi Arabia is not a horrible place, just that the horror is not evenly spread.

        • Thanks, Don.
That’s a good site. He’s reasonably candid without trashing the place. Watching maids from Sri Lanka beaten by their “sponsors” in public – all ya need to know…

I found “Death of a Princess” but haven’t watched it yet.

      • The 1980 docudrama ‘Death of a Princess’ is up in several parts on Youtube, if you’ve never seen it. I watched it recently and thought it was worthwhile on its own terms as a film, well-written, well-acted. And although many of the exteriors don’t look like KSA, as he wasn’t able to shoot there, and there are some other lapses, it seemed to me he got a lot about Saudi Arabia right. Enough to infuriate the Saudis, who among other things threw the British ambassador out.

  4. Isis fighters ‘crucify’ 17-year-old boy in Syria

Isis fighters have reportedly executed a 17-year-old boy and left his body on display on a cross in Syria.

Pictures being shared online show a banner attached to the teenager’s chest saying the boy has been crucified for taking photos of Isis military bases, as well as receiving “500 Turkish lira” for any footage taken.

The message describes the ruling for the alleged crime as “apostasy” and states the teenager has been “killed and crucified for a period of three days” as the punishment.

[…]this punishment arises from Isis’s fundamentalist interpretation of verse 33 of the fifth book [ sura ] of the koran, which reads: “Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against allah and his messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land.

“That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the hereafter is a great punishment.”
