This morning’s Lowell Green show on CFRA shows pretty clearly that as usual, the official and ideological conservatives are in favor of fighting totalitarian and genocidal groups while the left and muslims are jointly opposed to any kind of action that might be effective and are resorting to sophomoric mocking of those that are ready to actually do anything.

1. A US community college turns the first amendment on its head, violating it while claiming it was a violation of it to allow free expression of religion.
Drama students were prohibited from performing a play after the club’s faculty advisor said its religious message would violate the First Amendment.
In September, Justin Graves, a student at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, N.C., presented an idea for a production to the school’s drama club which included allusions to Christian themes. According to the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), while the students in the drama club unanimously voted in favor of the play’s production, the faculty advisor, Jack Landry, said no.

A major terror attack on European soil is practically inevitable as Western powers ramp up their assault on Jihadist fighters in Iraq and Syria, the Guardian reported Friday, citing an unnamed senior EU official.
The official said Europe was scrambling to deal with the threat of hundreds and possibly thousands of Islamist fighters returning to the European Union from combat in Iraq and Syria with plans to carry out large-scale attacks in the union.

Pedro Lazo Torres, the leader of Havana’s Muslim community, revealed that his joint efforts with Turkey’s Religious Affairs Foundation (TDV) to open a mosque in Havana was rejected.
Torres expressed his dismay at the decision, noting that Russia was granted permission to build an Orthodox church in the country but 4,000 Muslims in Cuba still have no official place of worship.
7. Nine U.N. troops killed in worst attack yet on Mali force
(Reuters) – Nine United Nations peacekeepers in Mali were killed when heavily armed gunmen on motorbikes ambushed their convoy on Friday, the deadliest attack yet on U.N. troops in Mali, the mission said.
The attack on the peacekeepers from Niger took place in the region of Gao and highlighted a sharp increase in strikes on foreign troops based in Mali to prevent the return of al Qaeda-linked Islamists who seized the desert north in 2012.

North Korea capital ‘under lockdown’ amid rumours of threat to Kim Jong-un
The North Korean capital has been placed under lockdown, according to sources with Pyongyang, raising new questions about the stability of Kim Jong-un’s regime.
Quoting sources within North Korea, the respected New Focus International news web site has reported that a ban on new travel passes to leave or enter Pyongyang was introduced on September 27.
And while the North Korean authorities have in the past limited access to the capital, the latest restrictions even apply to permanent residents of Pyongyang, who are by definition the elite of the regime.
“This sort of action suggests there has either been an attempted coup or that the authorities there have uncovered some sort of plot against the leadership,” Toshimitsu Shigemura, a professor at Tokyo’s Waseda University and an authority on North Korean affairs, told The Telegraph.
“If it is a military-backed coup, then the situation in Pyongyang will be very dangerous and I have heard reports that Kim has been moved out of the capital,” he said. […]

But what I want to focus on is Thomas Eric Duncan – the Liberian who after hauling his sister’s still living yet rapidly disintegrating body to and from the hospital thought it would be a great idea to take a three-legged flight to Dallas, and then just casually forget to mention at the Dallas emergency room the whole “I hauled my sister, dying of Ebola, to and from the hospital a couple of weeks ago.”
