Urumqi (AsiaNews / RFA) – At least 12 people are dead and over 100 wounded following a series of bomb attacks against government buildings and police stations in Bugur county (Xinjiang region). The attacks date to September 21, but details only emerged today. The police suspect that the bombs were the work of separatists from the Uyghur minority, who have long complained of being subjected to ethnic discrimination, oppressive religious controls, and social boycott.

OKLAHOMA CITY – A woman is stabbed by her ex-boyfriend and her 11-year-old daughter comes to the rescue, according to police.
An Oklahoma City man is hospitalized after being shot multiple times by the 11-year-old girl.
Police say the suspect attacked and stabbed the girl’s mother inside the victim’s home near SE 89th and Bryant.
After being shot, the suspect ran outside of the home but didn’t get far.
The wounded suspect collapsed in the street and police took him into custody.
The home’s back door is still smashed after the man broke inside and began stabbing his ex-girlfriend.
Iraq has received ‘credible’ intelligence that ISIS militants plan to launch attacks on subway systems in Paris and the United States, the country’s Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has claimed.
Mr Abadi said he was told of the plot by Baghdad, and that it was the work of foreign fighters belonging to ISIS in Iraq. Asked if the attacks were imminent, he said, ‘I’m not sure.’
Asked if the attacks had been thwarted, he said, ‘No’ but added that America had been alerted.
He went on to say that the suspects included Islamic extremists originally from the United States and France who have been fighting alongside ISIS terrorists in Iraq.
5. ISIS blows up Tikrit’s Green Church
ANSA) – Cairo, September 25 – Islamic State (ISIS) militants have “completely destroyed” the iconic Green Church in the northern Iraqi city of Tikrit, the MENA news agency reported Thursday, citing Iraqi security sources.
The Islamists packed the church – one of the oldest Christian monuments in the Middle East – with explosives before detonating them.

“Poundland worker.” Is this another euphemism like “Sex Worker”? Is it a code-word to mean Mohammedan? Because the motive was he “became ‘obsessed’ with his female colleague beat her with a claw hammer after she rejected him”. This fits with offering kind words and gifts and then righteous-rage for not reciprocating.
